Principles Of Data Quality Management
Principles of Data Quality
There are many principles for the data quality that ensure the data quality for the data entered to a
database. The most significant principles for the data quality include:
1 The Vision
2 The Policy
3 The Strategy
4 The collector has primary responsibility
5 User responsibility
6 Consistency
7 Transparency
8 Outliers
The Vision
It is very important for the big organization to get a high vision for their data and its quality especially
when the same data will be shared with other organization, companies or users. In the vision the
managers should focus on the resources that will use to build the data like the software, like the
database software and its capabilities, and the hardware like the computers and the routers and other
hardware equipment.
The Policy
As well as the vision, the organization should have a policy to implement its vision for the database,
which make the organization think to improve their database to reach its vision. Policy help the
organization to be more obvious about its goals with focusing on reducing costs, improving data
quality, improving customer service and relations, and improving the decision making process.
The Strategy
The organizations should have a good strategy to manage their database and data entry process.
Therefore, the organizations need to improve a strong strategy for capturing and checking data. The
good strategy must include some clear goals for the short, intermediate, and long terms, which

Food Preservatives And Its Effects On Food
Food Preservatives Food preservatives are described as natural means or man made chemicals that are
used in foods to prevent them from spoiling. A subgroup of preservatives are food additives, which
differ from preservatives in the way that additives are not only used to lengthen the life of food, but
also to improve taste and appearance. The ultimate goal of preservatives and additives are to improve
the quality and lifespan of food by slowing down the decomposition process using chemicals or
natural methods, such as salt and dehydration. Food preservatives can be broken down into two basic
groups natural and chemical. Natural preservatives are methods such as sun drying, freezing, or
adding other ingredients like honey that essentially slow down the speed at which food spoils.
Chemical preservatives are chemicals added to foods for the same purpose as natural preservatives
are. It is the same with additives; the difference being that they may be also used to purposely change
a food s look and taste. Preservatives and additives are used in most of foods, especially in our pre
packaged meals, whether it be natural or chemical versions being added. According to historical
records, natural methods of preservation, such as salting or dehydrating, have been around for
centuries. When humans began to switch from hunting and gathering to a more agricultural approach,
they needed a way to make food last for longer periods of time. This became an obvious problem as

Analysis Of Lucky By Alice Sebold
Summary
Lucky by Alice Sebold s is a memoir in which she speaks about her traumatic experience that she
went through during her freshman year at Syracuse University in New York. Alice was beaten and
raped one night when she was walking alone back to her dorm. A black male grabbed her from behind
with a knife and told her that he would kill her if she screamed. The black male took Alice into a
tunnel where he beat her up and forced her to perform oral sex on him. Alice was still a virgin prior to
the rape. After the black male raped Alice, he showed feelings of remorse, he helped Alice put her
clothes back on. Alice lied and told him that it was okay and that she forgave him. Alice reports the
incident to the police and the officer tells Alice that she should consider herself lucky because a girl
had been killed in the same place where she was raped. The rape took a toll on Alice because she
seemed to pretend like it was okay when it was not. She started seeing everything differently, every
black male she came across she would be reminded of her rapist. Alice also experienced trouble in
relationships with men because she did not consider herself to be worthy of any good guy because no
guy would want her since she was a rape victim. Alice expressed anger towards her rapist when she
runs into him again one afternoon and he approaches her and says that she looked familiar. Alice
speaks about wanting to kill her rapist. Alice s rapist is taken into custody and they have a

Gleason Score
Prostate MRI Apparent Diffusion Coefficient correlation with trans rectal ultra sound guided biopsy
Gleason score
Abstract:
Purpose To assess the significance of ADC values out of DWI in grading of prostate cancer in
correlation to Gleason score.
Patients and Methods: the study was conducted on 11 patients diagnosed as prostate cancer using U/S
guided sextant biopsy. The resultant 66 biopsy proven pathological Gleason score were covered in mp
MRI imaging. They used to perform the database for correlating Gleason score with ADC values. And
the data used to calculate the mean ADC, standard deviation and maximum to minimum ranges for
each Gleason score. Followed by data analysis to measure mean difference and significance of ADC
values in multiple ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main limitation and drawback in our study was that our results were compared to biopsy proven
Gleason score not to post prostatectomy pathological results as only one of our patient underwent
radical prostatectomy and rest of patients are non compatible to surgery either due to metastasis, old
age or patient refusal.
Second, our study are small (n =11) and ADC values correlation to biopsy proven Gleason score was
done using only 66 core biopsy result, So larger studies are necessary to better assess our results.
We recommend in later studies to use larger samples and compare the DWI ADC results to post
prostatectomy pathological results so we can correlate the results to accurate Gleason score and even
detect central gland carcinoma pathologically to compare with DWI MRI results.
In conclusion our results prove high p values for correlating mean ADC value to Gleason score and
median ADC values can be used as non invasive grading method for prostate cancer.

Biological Model Of Addiction
Biological Model:
According to the biological theory, chemical dependency has a biological onset that stems primarily
from a person s physiological or genetic characteristics. People differ in the degree to which they like
or dislike a particular addictive substance or activity. The ability to temper impulsive desires with
rational thought is a brain function that varies among different people.
Dr. Alan Leshner, PhD, director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse, While every type of drug of
abuse has its own individual trigger for affecting or transforming the brain, many of the results of the
transformation are strikingly similar regardless of the addictive drug used.

In 1952, E.M. Jellinek s research describes the four stages of alcoholism as, The Pre alcoholic phase in
which the drinker can no longer drink socially but uses alcohol to relieve social tension. The
Prodromal phase, the drinker begins to experience negative consequences. In the Crucial phase,
individuals develop physical dependence when serious withdrawal symptoms occur when drinking
stops. And the last one is, Chronic phase, in which an individual becomes lost in alcoholic lifestyle
and experience different symptoms. The disease model holds that addiction is a biological,
psychological, and spiritual disease that is incurable and the only way to arrest the disease process is
to abstain from alcohol and other drugs.
Biopsychosocial Model:
The use of the Biopsychosocial model is an attempt to develop a better understanding of addiction
using a multidimensional lens that describes the complex nature of proposed casual factors. While
using a multidimensional lens, it uses a three dimensional approach as well. Systems and Ecological
Systems Theory This theory proposes that all organisms are systems, composed of sub systems, and
belong to larger systems. Social systems are made up of ethnic and cultural groups, families, and

Explain Forward And Forward Integration
Complete forward and backward integration
Thus, in this integration process, it is a merge of forward and backward process for optimum
maximization of supply chain management to meet rapid marketplace changes. It is neither proven if
the complete integration is the best as forward and backward supply chain process plays their different
role in supply chain management. Although, managers should understand that forward integration
helps to respond to changes in demand effectively whereas backward integration gives the
organization a strong control over its quality of raw material supply and also the quality of the finished
product. The initiative of both processes serves different purposes such as to reduce risk, transfer of
vital information and interdependencies on external organization in supply chain. The decision on
which integration model to implement depends on the cost, product type, organizational size, scope
and organizational structure. Businesses that want to achieve great ... Show more content on

As companies debate on integration journey, it is obvious that organization of various types and
material managers from different functional areas are seriously talking about supply chain integration
explained Fawcett Magnan (2002). They further explained that forward integration efforts are on pace
or slightly ahead of backward integration derived from their research result scoring a mean of 4.33
(2002, p. 345). Therefore, firms cannot settle that whatever works for them will work for others as
internal, backward, forward or complete integrated model serves at various divisions. As a matter of
fact, it depends on the functional units that have to be integrated and what kind of product and services
are offered by the company. Single firm integration is very challenging tackling issues such as risk
sharing and rewards across organizations, meshing information systems and coordinating measures is

Apollo Vs Artemis Essay
Greek mythology is a subject that has fascinated humans for millennia, that has inspired numerous
books and movies alike. While the family tree of the Gods is a huge, and slightly confusing article of
notice, full of many characters, both monstrous and beatific, two siblings are worth noting more so
than others. Apollo and Artemis, twin siblings of the moon and sun, patron of archers, have been a
subject of fascination for historians and mythology fans alike. These siblings have been known as both
ruthless and fair on many occasions in Greek literature and are believed by some to be the most
influential characters of the Ancient Greece. While they have been viewed as equal in importance,
there are some key differences that make Artemis superior ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As stated earlier, Artemis became an eternal maiden, choosing to remain celibate, she was very
protective of her and her hunter s chastity. When men witnessed her naked, bathing, she would hear
their side of the story before striking them down, such was the tale of Sipriotes, who was a child and
accidently witnessed Artemis in the nude, being innocent she transformed him into a girl so she would
not have to kill him. However, when an adult hunter, Actaeon, witnessed her nudity, he demanded that
she be his wife and bear his children, Artemis responded by transforming him into a deer, to be eaten
by his dogs. Apollo was impatient in his dealings with humans; such as, when the Queen Niobe of
Delos bragged that she was greater than Leto, the twins mother, because she had sixteen children
instead of two, Apollo took his golden bow and struck down all of her children and incited the citizens
to tear her apart. Another instance was when Apollo had a flute contest with a satyr, with King Midas
as the sole judge. Apollo was certain he would win, being the god of music, but the satyr was declared
the winner, causing Apollo to fly into a fit of rage; he flayed the goat alive and cursed Midas with

Essay Analysis of Pinocchio and Toy Story
Analysis of Pinocchio and Toy Story
Recently I have been watching two Disney films on completely different sides of the Disney timeline.
Pinocchio was made in 1940 using cell animation with the story taken from an existing folk tale. Toy
Story was made in 1995 and it was the first computer generated feature film. This created a whole new
genre of computer animated films such as Finding Nemo and the recent Incredibles . Both of these
films use a toy as the main character and as always they both fit into the conventions of any Disney
film.
The narrative structure of both films is in some way similar as both of the main characters are
separated from home and the films involve them trying ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The good characters in Pinocchio are very stereotypical such as Gepetto. He is a typical homely
grandfather figure. Jiminy Cricket adds guidance and humour to the film and finally the Blue Fairy is
added for beauty with bright ora. On the other hand Sid s toys in Toy Story are very unattractive, and
at first we are led to believe they are evil, but in fact they save Woody and Buzz. This shows that you
should never judge on appearance. As we have good characters there are also evil characters. They are
usually portrayed in very stereotypical ways such as an evil laugh or an ugly exterior. Some examples
of this is Stromboli the circus owner in Pinocchio who is large and intimidating. His eyes are
frightening and he is most definitely greedy. Honest John is also evil; he is a sly and cunning fox with
a pun on his name. In Toy Story the only bad character is Sid. He is horrible, ugly (a brace and an evil
laugh) and even he destroys toys. But as in every Disney film the good will eventually overcome the
evil.
Another Disney convention is that there are always some Disney Values in each picture. In Pinocchio ,
Toy Story and even Finding Nemo one of the morals is that there is no place like home. The Toy Story
morals are Not to be jealous and Be happy with what

Social Discrepancies Of Titanic, By James Cameron
Social Discrepancies of Titanic Proportions James Cameron s renowned film Titanic is more than just
a love story, and more than a mere portrayal of the tragic sinking of the unsinkable ship; it is a
representation of the socioeconomic disparities between the haves and the have nots during the early
1900s. As explained by Levinson (2012), Edwardian era society was based on a social hierarchy
dictated by wealth and social class; specifically, the Titanic s passengers were divided into three
classes, determined not only by the price of their ticket, but by their wealth and social position (150).
This socioeconomic class division is evident through the film s plot in which Jack Dawson, a jobless,
lower class American who wins his way onto the RMS Titanic, shares an inter socioeconomic class
relationship with upper class Rose DeWitt Bukater. This storyline allows for overlaps between the first
and third class, and ultimately depicts the ideology of Outsiders versus Insiders (LCR). Outlined in the
Left Center Right Model for identifying ideologies, Outsiders versus Insiders is an ideology where a
left wing view identifies with the poor and disenfranchised, also know as the Outsiders, and the right
winged view identifies with the Establishment and people in power, or the Insiders (LCR). Titanic
represents the outsider oriented perspective on social class through the difference between first and
third class environments, the neglect given towards the third class,

Process Of Buying A Home
Prepare Before Purchasing
Excitement abounds, for the day has come for you to fulfill your dream of owning your own home!
This is a wonderful time but it can also be a very stressful time in your life. It s easy to get
overwhelmed and confused in the tumultuous sea of paperwork, hidden details, and legalese that is the
process of buying a home. Fortunately, there are professionals to help you through this process, but
here s a quick and dirty guide to getting yourself ready for buying a home.
First and foremost, take your time. A lot of home buyers will spot a home they like and feel like they
have to make an offer right away. Do not fall into this trap! This is a major, life changing decision and
probably the biggest financial investment you ll ever make in your entire life. Sit down, lean back,
relax, and take your time. Shop around, look at other houses, look at mortgages and homeowner s
insurance. Never make any hasty decision when it comes to real estate. ... Show more content on

consider a fenced in yard. If you have a cat, a yard s not so important, unless it s something you want

Looking for a Job and Stories from Korcula Island
It is 2010/2011 the summer is on the front door and I m start to think about the job that I could work
this summer. I was start searching on a few places and talk with some people for some free place to

them. Day by day I feel relaxed with the fact that I have some free time to enjoy before I start with the
job and that was a pretty good for me. As the time was passing, of course no one of them still didn t
call me as I expect, so it was obvious that I will need some alternative to earn some money, somehow.
I start to search again but now it was to late, because everybody now have people to work for them. In
one moment I feel like Im without options but I new that at least I can count to work with my parents
with apartments, and to be honest that is not such bad. Everyday meeting new people from all around
the world, you can learn something about some other culture, mentality, and similar. On the Korcula
island summer is the best part of the year, there is a lot of people everywhere, a lot of event is going

Dangers Of Texting While Driving
Did you know every day your life is put at risk because of other s bad driving habits? Well, when I
first got my driver s license I believed I was prepared to drive, but I was wrong. I still needed to learn
about all the hazards around myself. Habits are tough to break when becoming attached, even though
various habits are illegal. However, speeding, texting while driving, and driving under the influence of
alcohol are a few of the many extremely common habits drivers use daily. Speeding is a common
habit that happens around the world every day. The dangers of speeding are certainly well known to
most drivers, either by getting a ticket for speeding from law enforcement, being part of an accident
due to reckless driving or even having a loved one be a victim of excessive speeding (Upton).
Speeding because one is in a rush, trying to show off to friends, or just do not think the law applies to
you, are never the answers for speeding. Accidents can easily result in hitting somebody or losing
control of your vehicle from speeding. Speed limits are made to keep the community safe, making the
speed limit lower in populated towns, while a little higher on back roads, and highways. School zone s
have a vastly low speed limit to insure everyone is being extra cautious for children are everyone
around. Even with getting away with speeding, it is still breaking the law while putting others in great
danger. Texting while driving is also an extremely dangerous habit. Cell phones

Thomas and Linda s son, John, is a scholar and resident of the savage reservation in New Mexico.
Despite not being introduced until Chapter 7, John is seen as the centralizing character of the novel.
Unlike the rest of his community, he is educated. When Lenina and Bernard come across John during

Bernard and Lenina offer to bring John and Linda back to the World State. Hoping to connect better to

John residence in his house, that he starts attracting the attention of everyone. Soon after, Bernard
personality becomes overbearing and Mustapha Mond, the ruler of the World State, exiles him for non

Bernard s strengths are his curiosity and intelligence, but his downfalls are his instable mind and short

Underground Man Is Plagued By The Proponents Of A Society
Underground Man is plagued by the proponents of a society which thrives on reason and rationality.
The idea that behind every question and thought there lies a calculated and precise answer that is

Ideal Working Environment For Nurses
Tasha, You must have enjoyed working in your unit. I enjoyed reading your post about your
experience at work. What is more, you are fortunate that your manager is cognizant of safe staffing
and responsive to that need. From my working experience to multiple hospitals, every one of them
was exposed to the national patient safety goals (NPSG). Although the majority promotes the NPSG,
few consistently look after the staffing needs. Nickitas, Middaugh, and Aries (2016) attested to the
studies confirming fatigue and long hours of work attribute to inattention that leads to medical errors. I
believe this important factor on staffing issue may be related to the nursing shortages. To be able to

Phoenix s Hardships and Racism in A Worn Path Essay
A Worn Path tells of an elderly and frail black woman and of the hardships that she must overcome.
Upon reading the story, you realize that there is more to the story than meets the eye. She faces many
roadblocks along her way. Phoenix faces many dangerous obstacles along her way, for a person of her
age. She faces racism from some of characters she meets along the way. Phoenix faces inferior
treatment, as though she is nothing more than some insect to squash. This story is about not only her
journey to Natchez, but also about her journey through society and the struggle to overcome the
dangers, being treated inferior, and the racism. It s December when Phoenix starts on her journey to

She runs the risk of having that barbwire slash though her dress and cut her back to pieces. , if she was
to get caught going under that fence, the consequences she faced could have been death. The obstacles
on the path to Natchez were dangerous and Phoenix could have suffered serious injury. Any kind of
injury suffered out in the open and alone like she was in the middle of the winter could have resulted
in death. However, it is in the end that the reader sees just how precious her journey is and for the
lover of her grandson moves Phoenix to town. It is the same type of unfair obstacles that Phoenix must
have dealt with her entire life. Yet she made it through them all un harmed and her spirit still intact.
Phoenix lived in a society where racism was still running strong. Yet she faced and dealt with that
every day of her life. As an African American slave, she would have toil in the fields, wondering if she
would still be alive by the time the sun was setting. Phoenix is visible shaken with a run a scarecrow
she believed to be a ghost. She says to image, Ghost, she said sharply, who be you the ghost of? For I

Hate And Love, And American Values In America
America is a driven nation in which everyone has different motivators which produce varied results in
society and the lives of the Americans. Hate and love, as well as selfishness and selflessness are the
primary motivators of individuals as they cause the most amount of passion and debate. Morals will
impact these values and cause them to change to match the situation along with the feelings of the
individual. At times, these values may contradict each other, such as hate and love or selfishness
versus selflessness, yet these contradictions are necessary for its inverse to exist. Without hate, love
would not exist. Selfless actions could not be recognized if not for selfish actions. The effect morals
have on the individual would go unobserved if there was not a range of beliefs. Although its values
can contradict one another, American values are what drives America to the success that it praises
itself for.
Hate and love are seen as antonyms when in reality the two ideas come in a pair. In order to hate, one
must have known love before for as it is impossible to hate something without caring about it in some
form. It is very easy for love to develop into hate, and vice versa. Hate will lead to exclusion and bad
choices while love will unify and bind the nation together, making it stronger. Although an individual
s or a nation s goal may be for peace, the result can be hatred if proper steps laid out in Just War
Theory are not taken. Just War Theory acknowledges that there

his childhood all the way to the end of his days as a manager. By conducting an assessment of the

The above are methods employed by managers even today, now we will look at some of the methods
that were employed specifically by Sir Alex.
Every year, when a season was half way through, Sir Alex would convince the media that Manchester
United would do better in the second half of the season. These words not only convinced the media
but also convinced the players at the club. It gave a huge boost in form to the squad an even at times
made the opposition play worse.
Perhaps the most famous of all his mind games was his Watch tapping technique. He used this
technique towards the end of every match Manchester United played. He believed that it put the
feeling of fear in the opposing team and hence there would be a loss in form. It also improved the
overall playing style of his squad. This technique worked more often than

William Shakespeare s Henry The Iv
OPENING Heroism in Henry the IV has many different interpretations. The different views that
Shakespeare examines defines heroism based by one s individual idea of what heroism means to them
and by their values. Shakespeare also explores the two different origins of heroism one from a modern
era and the second from the current to earlier period of time. Shakespeare intertwines honour and
heroism into one. Hotspur portrays the idea of a dramatic hero in his time, this heroism is displayed by
his reputation and sanctity his name. Hotspur seeks self honour this is seen when his willingness to
lead a rebellion against the injustices he sees the King has made by leading men into battle and
sacrifice his life in the name of honour. Fueling the desire Hotspur seeks of an honorable man.
PARAGRAPH 1 Hotspur is seen honourably through the eyes King Henry the IV. In the opening
scene act 1, we are introduced to King Henry IV. During the King s speech to his people of the court,
we get a solid understanding of how Hotspur is seen as an honourable man. The King proclaims his
jealousy of Lord Northumberland for having Hotspur as an honourable son, Yea, there thou makest me
sad and makest me sin / In envy that my Lord Northumberland (77 78). For the King sees Hotspur as a
man of honour, A son who is the theme of honour s tongue (80), while he views is own son as a
disappointment, See riot and dishonour stain the brow / Of my young Harry (84 85). Honour is this act

Coconut Oil Vs Alzheimer s Disease
Although the coconut is one of the few foods that can be identified as a superfood today, its oil
guarantees an array of health related medicinal and dietary benefits.
For generations, coconut oil has held a number of medicinal claims. Of its more recent claims, studies
show that it can actually fight Alzheimer s disease (Schardt). According to Schardt, coconut oil is
unusual because it contains a high percentage of medium chain triglycerides or MTCs . This chemical
is what essentially helps to increase the brain function of demented individuals. Considering this,

My Career Path For My Life
I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis when I was eight years old. I noticed that the first three
letters of Arthritis spell art . To me, art is the creative outlet that has made me the person I am today.
My artistic abilities have helped me choose my career path in film that I want to peruse for the rest of
my life. I have used my real life obstacles, career goals, accomplishments and personal background to
write lyrics, scripts and create art. I am an artist and I know that with the talents I have, will help me
accomplish anything I set my mind to. I am the second oldest of four children and the second person
in my family to go to college. Neither of my parents had the opportunity to college, so I had to work
hard in school to get into a four year university. There is a lot of pressure on me to be a good role
model and set a good example for my younger siblings. I treasure my education due to the fact my
parents were not able to have one. Due to my parent s education level, my dad is the only one who
was able to find a job to provide for a family of six. He barely makes enough to maintain my family
with the daily necessities. My family also has to put my medical expenses first over my education
expenses. My parents do not have any left over money to help me pay my cell phone, school supplies,
textbooks, or housing. Since, I am the second person going to college from my family and I will have
to fund my education on my own just as my older brother did. My financial

Marketing At The University Of Florida
1. I am studying marketing here at the University of Florida because I am interested in the buying and
selling of goods/services. I find things like television ads, target customers, different brand logos, and
commercials very interesting. Jimmy Johns for example, has really funny ads on the television and
radio that market there product. Companies like Southwestern Advantage sell educational systems
door to door. I think that is a very interesting way to market their product. I know that I am not into
finance or accounting but at this point in time marketing is my best option. If I ever change my major
it would become Economics or Sociology.
2. Ideally five years from now I see myself completing an M.B.A. program. I will have multiple job
offers from fortune 500 companies however, I may decide to simply go into real estate. I am aware
that you do not need a college degree for real estate however, I want to keep my options open if that
does not work out. I need to discover what my true passion is. Ideally I will have already landed a job
with a great real estate company. I will have shadowed a successful individual in the field. I would be
personally fulfilled if I do what I love. In five years I should have no doubt in my mind about what I
do or do not love.
3. I would need practical experience shadowing first hand very successful real estate agents. I would
need an internship with a marketing company to find out if that is what I want to do for the rest of my

His daughter refused to speak to him and ran to her room. His wife told him that he can no longer live

The Hunger Banquet Encourages Students
The Hunger Banquet enables students to shift into a new perspective and perceive how the largely
different economic standpoints are throughout our continents. The program provides insight on
distribution of wealth, it s relationship with general business, and brings ethical viewpoints into the
means of business. First, previous to taking any business classes, any knowledge regarding the
business environment and the different methods of economic systems were entirely basic. Residing in
countries such as the United States, most individuals grow to understand how a capitalistic (free
enterprise) economy works. However, much like myself, many other people who operate under
Capitalism do not have a full understanding of how other economic systems work, such as
communism and socialism. Communism, a political system in which the government owns and
operates all factors of production (Ebert, 2015, pg. 13), is a system in which I was unaware of the
government s ability to control every single means of production within an economy. Also, socialism,
a planned economic system, was introduced to me through the learning of business. Additionally, the
role given to me sent me to a location on the floor, indicating I was living in poverty. The character of
my role had to sacrifice food for himself in order to provide for his family who lived in an area of
poverty. During my journey through the Hunger Banquet, I was surprised at the surplus amounts of
food that were wasted in the

The nature of business to business marketing differs in many areas with business to consumer

Another characteristic that differentiate between business to business market demand and business to
consumer is that business to business products tend to have inelastic demand (Hutt amp; Speh, 2010).
This principle shows that business to business product has demand characteristics with no correlation
with price. BD had increased the price of its evacuated blood collection tube between 1979 to 1985
from 6 cents per unit to 8 cents per unit, where as its competitor, Terumo, a Japanese firm has kept its
price at 6.5 cents per unit. However, BD has not lost its market share, which was kept at roughly 80
per cent while Terumo had increased its market share from 10 per cent to 20 per cent (Cespedes amp;
Rangan, 1993). This change in market share for Terumo, can be explained by other means rather than
arguing that Terumo, by keeping its price, absorbing any cost increases and inflation, has created an
elastic demand like in business to consumer. This argument is highlighted in the fact that in the market
for blood collection needles in the same period, even though both BD and Terumo had kept its per unit
price at 7.5 cents, BD market share has dropped from 40 per cent to 30 BD while Terumo doubled its
market share from 25 per cent to 50 per cent (Cespedes amp; Rangan, 1993).
Finally, a global market perspective must be taken by a marketer in business to business marketing.
The demand for many business

Achilles As A Hero
In the book The Iliad, by Homer, the main character, Achilles, is a Greek warrior who is part divine
and part human. During the story, Achilles undergoes the steps in becoming a hero. Each of these steps
prepares him for the final moment, when he becomes a hero. Achilles is a hero because he goes
through many of the steps necessary in the path to becoming a hero. The first set of major steps that
Achilles undergoes is the call to adventure, the refusal to the call to action, and the meeting with the
mentor. In Book 1 of the Iliad, Achilles is called to fight against the Trojan s to reclaim Helen,
Menelaus wife. Later in the war, Chryseis and Briseis are taken as prizes from a battle. They are the
daughters of a priest of Apollo named Chryses. After Chryses begs for his daughters back, the Greeks
decide to give Briseis to him and have Chryseis stay. Chryseis belonged to Achilles as his prize from
the battle and Briseis belonged to Agamemnon, a political leader of the Greeks. Agamemnon then
humiliate Achilles by taking Chryseis Achilles s prize, for himself. This angered Achilles greatly and
caused him to leave the Greek army, albeit temporary. This serves as Achilles refusal to the call of
battle. Achilles s anger is shown in Book 1 lines 188 to 192, these lines show how much Achilles s
pride affects his actions and how he responds to conflict. In this situation, his pride is hurt greatly, to
the point where he almost kill Agamemnon, however Athena stops him. Achilles says

A full time legislature is a legislature where the members consider their jobs as being full time. The
members are well paid and committees are well staffed. Legislators meet for the most part of the year
and are paid as full time employees. Their extended time in office and the ability to devote their time
to issues allows them to perform their duties more effectively. A full time legislature allows adequate
time for debate and hearings among the legislators and the public, therefore the decision making

There are special sessions that are called by the governor. The legislative process in Texas is a hybrid
system with a combination of both the full time legislature and the part time legislature. The 140 day
sessions is a short period to conduct all the business of the state and the constitution gives the
governor the power to call as many special sessions needed in order to complete important state
business. These special sessions are short and do not exceed 30 days. Reducing the duration of these
sessions is important to ensure that the government does not govern too much. At the end of a
legislative session any bills that have not been approved by both houses die on the last day of the
session. The governor can use the threat of a special session to motivate legislators to focus on issues
that are of concern to the governor. The compromises that are possible between Texas 140 day
sessions and a full time approach include a reduction of costs and the availability of adequate time to
discuss and debate legislations. The sessions are limited to 140 days, but if there are issues that need
legislative attention, then the governor can convene special sessions to address these issues (Tucker,

A Common Technique Used By John Updike
A common technique used by authors throughout literature is the growth of the main character into
their own. From the maturation of a selfish soul into a triumphant hero, or the rise of a shunned
underdog into a loved champion, authors have create situations for their characters that teach readers a
significant life lesson about the world we live in. For example, John Updike s Sammy from A P and
Flannery O Connor s Grandmother from A Good Man is Hard to Find both receive wake up calls from
the respective antagonists of their stories. They are put in high stress situations where their morals and
beliefs are pushed to the limit. Both O Connor and Updike utilized the high stress situations to make
the reader question their own beliefs; therefore, causing the readers to empathize with the main
characters. Sammy and the Grandmother experience unique situations that force them to question their
way of thinking; however, those lessons are not restricted to them, but also lessons everyone has to
learn. John Updike does a great job of creating a character in Sammy that young boys are able to
relate to, and then making him mature due to a shocking realization about the real world. Like most
teenage boys, he is sarcastic and opinionated, but Sammy sets himself apart by being oddly observant.
The mundane routine of his boring bag boy job is turned upside down when the three girls around his
age walk in. He immediately takes notice and starts to pick apart every detail about the trio.

The ultimate goal of preservatives and additives are to improve the quality and lifespan of food by slowing down the decomposition process using chemicals or natural methods, such as salt and dehydration. Alice reports the incident to the police and the officer tells Alice that she should consider herself lucky because a girl had been killed in the same place where she was raped. The rape took a toll on Alice because she seemed to pretend like it was okay when it was not. She started seeing everything differently, every black male she came across she would be reminded of her rapist. Alice also experienced trouble in relationships with men because she did not consider herself to be worthy of any good guy because no guy would want her since she was a rape victim. The main limitation and drawback in our study was that our results were compared to biopsy proven Gleason score not to post prostatectomy pathological results as only one of our patient underwent radical prostatectomy and rest of patients are non compatible to surgery either due to metastasis, old age or patient refusal. Second, our study are small (n =11) and ADC values correlation to biopsy proven Gleason score was done using only 66 core biopsy result, So larger studies are necessary to better assess our results. We recommend in later studies to use larger samples and compare the DWI ADC results to post prostatectomy pathological results so we can correlate the results to accurate Gleason score and even detect central gland carcinoma pathologically to compare with DWI MRI results. In conclusion our results prove high p values for correlating mean ADC value to Gleason score and median ADC values can be used as non invasive grading method for prostate cancer. References: 1. The ability to temper impulsive desires with rational thought is a brain function that varies among different people. Dr. Alan Leshner, PhD, director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse, While every type of drug of abuse has its own individual trigger for affecting or transforming the brain, many of the results of the transformation are strikingly similar regardless of the addictive drug used. And the last one is, Chronic phase, in which an individual becomes lost in alcoholic lifestyle and experience different symptoms. The disease model holds that addiction is a biological, psychological, and spiritual disease that is incurable and the only way to arrest the disease process is to abstain from alcohol and other drugs. Explain Forward And Forward Integration Complete forward and backward integration Thus, in this integration process, it is a merge of forward and backward process for optimum maximization of supply chain management to meet rapid marketplace changes. It is neither proven if the complete integration is the best as forward and backward supply chain process plays their different role in supply chain management. Although, managers should understand that forward integration helps to respond to changes in demand effectively whereas backward integration gives the organization a strong control over its quality of raw material supply and also the quality of the finished product. While the family tree of the Gods is a huge, and slightly confusing article of notice, full of many characters, both monstrous and beatific, two siblings are worth noting more so than others. Apollo and Artemis, twin siblings of the moon and sun, patron of archers, have been a subject of fascination for historians and mythology fans alike. These siblings have been known as both ruthless and fair on many occasions in Greek literature and are believed by some to be the most influential characters of the Ancient Greece. As stated earlier, Artemis became an eternal maiden, choosing to remain celibate, she was very protective of her and her hunter s chastity. When men witnessed her naked, bathing, she would hear their side of the story before striking them down, such was the tale of Sipriotes, who was a child and accidently witnessed Artemis in the nude, being innocent she transformed him into a girl so she would not have to kill him. However, when an adult hunter, Actaeon, witnessed her nudity, he demanded that she be his wife and bear his children, Artemis responded by transforming him into a deer, to be eaten by his dogs. Apollo was impatient in his dealings with humans; such as, when the Queen Niobe of Delos bragged that she was greater than Leto, the twins mother, because she had sixteen children instead of two, Apollo took his golden bow and struck down all of her children and incited the citizens to tear her apart. Another instance was when Apollo had a flute contest with a satyr, with King Midas as the sole judge. Apollo was certain he would win, being the god of music, but the satyr was declared the winner, causing Apollo to fly into a fit of rage; he flayed the goat alive and cursed Midas with donkey ... Pinocchio was made in 1940 using cell animation with the story taken from an existing folk tale. Toy Story was made in 1995 and it was the first computer generated feature film. This created a whole new genre of computer animated films such as Finding Nemo and the recent Incredibles . The good characters in Pinocchio are very stereotypical such as Gepetto. He is a typical homely grandfather figure. Jiminy Cricket adds guidance and humour to the film and finally the Blue Fairy is added for beauty with bright ora. On the other hand Sid s toys in Toy Story are very unattractive, and at first we are led to believe they are evil, but in fact they save Woody and Buzz. This shows that you should never judge on appearance. As we have good characters there are also evil characters. They are usually portrayed in very stereotypical ways such as an evil laugh or an ugly exterior. Some examples of this is Stromboli the circus owner in Pinocchio who is large and intimidating. His eyes are frightening and he is most definitely greedy. Honest John is also evil; he is a sly and cunning fox with a pun on his name. In Toy Story the only bad character is Sid. He is horrible, ugly (a brace and an evil laugh) and even he destroys toys. But as in every Disney film the good will eventually overcome the evil. • 14. Social Discrepancies Of Titanic, By James Cameron Social Discrepancies of Titanic Proportions James Cameron s renowned film Titanic is more than just a love story, and more than a mere portrayal of the tragic sinking of the unsinkable ship; it is a representation of the socioeconomic disparities between the haves and the have nots during the early 1900s. As explained by Levinson (2012), Edwardian era society was based on a social hierarchy dictated by wealth and social class; specifically, the Titanic s passengers were divided into three classes, determined not only by the price of their ticket, but by their wealth and social position (150). This socioeconomic class division is evident through the film s plot in which Jack Dawson, a jobless, lower class American who wins his way onto the RMS Titanic, shares an inter socioeconomic class relationship with upper class Rose DeWitt Bukater. This storyline allows for overlaps between the first and third class, and ultimately depicts the ideology of Outsiders versus Insiders (LCR). Outlined in the Left Center Right Model for identifying ideologies, Outsiders versus Insiders is an ideology where a left wing view identifies with the poor and disenfranchised, also know as the Outsiders, and the right winged view identifies with the Establishment and people in power, or the Insiders (LCR). Titanic represents the outsider oriented perspective on social class through the difference between first and third class environments, the neglect given towards the third class, ... The Hunger Banquet Encourages Students The Hunger Banquet enables students to shift into a new perspective and perceive how the largely different economic standpoints are throughout our continents. The program provides insight on distribution of wealth, it s relationship with general business, and brings ethical viewpoints into the means of business. First, previous to taking any business classes, any knowledge regarding the business environment and the different methods of economic systems were entirely basic. Residing in countries such as the United States, most individuals grow to understand how a capitalistic (free enterprise) economy works. However, much like myself, many other people who operate under Capitalism do not have a full understanding of how other economic systems work, such as communism and socialism. Communism, a political system in which the government owns and operates all factors of production (Ebert, 2015, pg. 13), is a system in which I was unaware of the government s ability to control every single means of production within an economy. Also, socialism, a planned economic system, was introduced to me through the learning of business. Additionally, the role given to me sent me to a location on the floor, indicating I was living in poverty. The character of my role had to sacrifice food for himself in order to provide for his family who lived in an area of poverty. The nature of demand, or the characteristics of demand for business products ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another characteristic that differentiate between business to business market demand and business to consumer is that business to business products tend to have inelastic demand (Hutt amp; Speh, 2010). This principle shows that business to business product has demand characteristics with no correlation with price. BD had increased the price of its evacuated blood collection tube between 1979 to 1985 from 6 cents per unit to 8 cents per unit, where as its competitor, Terumo, a Japanese firm has kept its price at 6.5 cents per unit. However, BD has not lost its market share, which was kept at roughly 80 per cent while Terumo had increased its market share from 10 per cent to 20 per cent (Cespedes amp; Rangan, 1993). This change in market share for Terumo, can be explained by other means rather than arguing that Terumo, by keeping its price, absorbing any cost increases and inflation, has created an elastic demand like in business to consumer. This argument is highlighted in the fact that in the market for blood collection needles in the same period, even though both BD and Terumo had kept its per unit price at 7.5 cents, BD market share has dropped from 40 per cent to 30 BD while Terumo doubled its market share from 25 per cent to 50 per cent (Cespedes amp; Rangan, 1993). Finally, a global market perspective must be taken by a marketer in business to business marketing. The demand for many business ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

During the story, Achilles undergoes the steps in becoming a hero. Each of these steps prepares him for the final moment, when he becomes a hero. Achilles is a hero because he goes through many of the steps necessary in the path to becoming a hero. The first set of major steps that Achilles undergoes is the call to adventure, the refusal to the call to action, and the meeting with the mentor. In Book 1 of the Iliad, Achilles is called to fight against the Trojan s to reclaim Helen, Menelaus wife. Later in the war, Chryseis and Briseis are taken as prizes from a battle. They are the daughters of a priest of Apollo named Chryses. After Chryses begs for his daughters back, the Greeks decide to give Briseis to him and have Chryseis stay. Chryseis belonged to Achilles as his prize from the battle and Briseis belonged to Agamemnon, a political leader of the Greeks. Agamemnon then humiliate Achilles by taking Chryseis Achilles s prize, for himself. This angered Achilles greatly and caused him to leave the Greek army, albeit temporary. This serves as Achilles refusal to the call of battle. Achilles s anger is shown in Book 1 lines 188 to 192, these lines show how much Achilles s pride affects his actions and how he responds to conflict. In this situation, his pride is hurt greatly, to the point where he almost kill Agamemnon, however Athena stops him. Achilles says ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There are special sessions that are called by the governor. The legislative process in Texas is a hybrid system with a combination of both the full time legislature and the part time legislature. The 140 day sessions is a short period to conduct all the business of the state and the constitution gives the governor the power to call as many special sessions needed in order to complete important state business. These special sessions are short and do not exceed 30 days. Reducing the duration of these sessions is important to ensure that the government does not govern too much. At the end of a legislative session any bills that have not been approved by both houses die on the last day of the session. The governor can use the threat of a special session to motivate legislators to focus on issues that are of concern to the governor. The compromises that are possible between Texas 140 day sessions and a full time approach include a reduction of costs and the availability of adequate time to discuss and debate legislations. The sessions are limited to 140 days, but if there are issues that need legislative attention, then the governor can convene special sessions to address these issues (Tucker, ... • 40. A Common Technique Used By John Updike A common technique used by authors throughout literature is the growth of the main character into their own. From the maturation of a selfish soul into a triumphant hero, or the rise of a shunned underdog into a loved champion, authors have create situations for their characters that teach readers a significant life lesson about the world we live in. For example, John Updike s Sammy from A P and Flannery O Connor s Grandmother from A Good Man is Hard to Find both receive wake up calls from the respective antagonists of their stories. They are put in high stress situations where their morals and beliefs are pushed to the limit. Both O Connor and Updike utilized the high stress situations to make the reader question their own beliefs; therefore, causing the readers to empathize with the main characters. Sammy and the Grandmother experience unique situations that force them to question their way of thinking; however, those lessons are not restricted to them, but also lessons everyone has to learn. John Updike does a great job of creating a character in Sammy that young boys are able to relate to, and then making him mature due to a shocking realization about the real world. Like most teenage boys, he is sarcastic and opinionated, but Sammy sets himself apart by being oddly observant. The mundane routine of his boring bag boy job is turned upside down when the three girls around his age walk in. He immediately takes notice and starts to pick apart every detail about the trio. ...
