Anti Warfare Counterinsurgency Manual Version
Sendero Luminoso is an insurgent organization whose goal is the seizure of power to implement
communism in Peru, to this end, it uses revolutionary violence (terrorism, sabotage and guerrilla
warfare). The 1989 Peruvian Army ME 41 7, Non Conventional Warfare Counterinsurgency Manual
version was the unique official military source that detailed the SL ideology, doctrine, organization,
structure, tactics, techniques, and procedures used by this terrorist group; however, SL has changed,
and the Peruvian Army does not release valid and official information. Nevertheless, 1989 ME 41 7
version mentioned that SL performs informational campaigns using agitation and propaganda,
developing mass agitation; distribution of brochures and flyers; mobilizing rallies and marches using
existing broadcasting bodies (newspapers, radio stations, TV., and others.) The Black Book of Sendero
Luminoso Insurgency (known as the Black Book) is one of the primary sources to analyze the SL
development from 2001 to 2008. This book mentions the SL tactics, procedures, and specific aspects
of their method of indoctrination. Forms of struggle are ambushes, assaults, selective annihilations,
and revolutionary propaganda and agitation. To run these revolutionary actions; the Party and
comrades, commanders and fighters of the People s Revolutionary Army, do not wear hoods and
balaclavas, not cover their faces, do not perform pints, not hoisted red flags with the hammer and
sickle, leave no signs over the

The Existence Of Aliens In Area 51
Most of us have heard about the mysterious Area 51 and the rumors of the Aliens and UFOs that are
hidden within. However, these rumors are not true. There is evidence that shows that there are no
extraterrestrial beings in Area 51. Before a reader can understand this essay, they must first know a
little background about the subject. In 1955, land was added to an existing grid of the AEC s Atomic
Test Site. This land was named Area 51. Over time, things such as accommodations for personnel and
a runway were added. For a long time, what went on in Area 51 was kept top secret. This caused many
people to speculate that the government was hiding things such as aliens and crashed UFOs there.
These speculations led to things such as movies and TV ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One example of hearsay evidence is Edward Price, a CIA spokesperson, who stated that there are no
aliens in Area 51, and that the rumors are all made up. What readers won t find are any references to
aliens or other conspiracy theories best left to the realm of science fiction. (America Acknowledges
Existence..., 2013).Another example of hearsay evidence is Chris Pocock, a British defence journalist,
who stated that everything about the U 2 program had to be kept top secret. The U 2 was absolutely
top secret , Chris Pocock, a British defence journalist and author of histories of the programme, told
the BBC. They had to hide everything about it. (America Acknowledges Existence..., 2013).The final
example of hearsay evidence are Gregory Pedlow and Donald Welzenbach, authors of the book of the
history of the U 2 program stated that it was thought to be impossible for planes to fly as high as the U
2 did, which could explain the UFO sightings. At this time, no one believed manned flight was
possible above 60,000 feet, so no one expected to see an object so high in the sky. , note authors

Cave In The Snow Movie
Tibetan Buddhism originated in Tibet, but was based off and inspired by Indian Buddhism. Tibetan
Buddhists practice the Tantric principles, which are about the attachment to things and desires.
Another key practice, with the same name as the early sect of Tibetan Buddhism, is Nyingma, which
is that we all can obtain Buddhahood, but individuals must discover it for themselves; with guidance
from a teacher. The practice of Nyingma also teaches the gradual discovery of self and to purify the
mind.
In class, we watched a documentary movie called, Cave in the Snow . The movie discusses a Tibetan
nun named Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo, formerly known as Diane Perry, a journey where she spent

In everyday life, I feel like I must play all these different roles and it does get exhausting, that I find it
overwhelming and wonder what is my true self. I have this plan to seclude myself in a cabin in the
mountains, one day, and just experience the world and my own spirituality through this journey of
seclusion. I just want to have the chance to forget about these roles for a few months and just deeper
my own consciousness and self. Also, I feel the same as Palmo when she discusses loneliness. About
how when she was in the cave it did not feel lonely but when she is in the community it felt lonelier. I
relate to this because for some reason when I am around people I feel lonelier and left out. That when
I am around people they make me feel like I am an outsider, but when I am alone, in a sense it feels
less lonely. No one is there to make me feel like I do not belong, no one is there to make me feel like I
stick out. When Palmo discusses her own journey in the cave, it inspires me to follow a similar
journey to hers, one day. To start my own journey of self discovery and strengthen my own

Internal And External Factors Of Vernon And Raymond...
There are internal and external factors that drive companies to approach the global market in a
different way as compared to earlier description of traditional stage model. The external factors
include globalization, digitalization, outsourcing, virtual economy and development in communication
standards while the internal factors include operations, language, culture, local adaptation (Oviatt
McDougall, 1994).
As indicated by the stage approach, the firms initiate their business by offering the items in their home
markets and after that they accordingly take a gander at new neighboring nations. The two
fundamental models can be distinguished inside of the stage approach: the Product Life Cycle Theory

Living Conditions In Olaudah Equiano
Olaudah Equiano was African man who was taken, along with many other black people from their
home country. They were taken aboard a ship and were put in chains under the deck, where the
conditions were substandard. They were forced into confined spaces where it became impossible to
breath from the stench of their unhygienic living situation. When any of the prisoners were
disobedient or did something not to their liking, they were whipped severely. The Africans were
sometimes let up on the deck, mostly when they became to sick to be under the deck but they were
watched very closely as to make sure that they would not throw themselves in the water, witch says a

Solution Focused Brief Therapy Analysis

In the beginning session, clients are questioned about pre session change to initiate a discussion about
current clues of solution making and to inspire clients that change is likely (Lethem, 2002). According
to Osborn (1997), solution focused therapists reassure clients to tap into their internal resources and
strengths. Several clients might not recognize the strides that they are now taking to resolve their
problem. The goal is for the therapist to lead the client on the path of change; subsequently that the
client can recognize the authority clients hold to change their circumstances. SFBT adopt that the
clients are the experts on their lives, not the therapist. For that reason, the counselor assumes an
ambassador mentality, permitting the clients to educate the therapist about themselves, and permitting
the clients to direct the treatment (Murphy, 2008). SFBT is swayed by post modern philosophy, such
as social constructionism. The therapeutic process and its results are understood as discussed among
clients and counselors (Guterman Leite, 2006; Strong Pyle, 2009). The social constructionist
framework assists solution focused therapists to sustain the ambassador mentality, since their belief

Database Paper
Whatis.com (2004) defines a database as a collection of information that is organized so that it can
easily be accessed, managed, and updated. In my current job at Wellco Tank Trucks, Inc., we do not
use any type of databases in the daily operations of our business. My only job that involved regular
use of a database was at Chilcutt Direct Marketing (CDM) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. From
February 2003 to June 2004, I was an Account Executive of Brokerage at CDM. CDM is a direct
marketing company that manages and brokers customer mailing lists for companies across the United
States. The company uses an operating system called AS/400. AS/400 is setup with a database

By searching through the database using the target customer information, I could narrow the field of
possible lists from 40,000 to less than fifty. From there, I would research each of the lists further to
find the best possible customer lists for Bass Pro Shops to send Christmas catalogs to. Each employee
at Chilcutt Direct Marketing spends an average of five hours per day actively using the Marketing
Information Network database. MIN definitely made our jobs at CDM easier but the database would
be much more beneficial to the company if a few changes were made. First, there have been several
updates released for the AS/400 operating system that CDM uses but they are still using the original
version. If they would update their operating system, they would find that the program would be more
user friendly and would be much more dependable. The other improvement that needs I suggest is in
the consistency of functions within the database. For example, if you are in the order entry screen, the
F1 function key is the command for field exit, the F4 key is for deleting and F5 updates the screen. In
the order shipment screen, F1 is the command for delete, F4 is update, and F5 is field exit. This makes
it very difficult to use and very easy to make mistakes. Over the years, other mailing list databases
have come on the market to compete with Marketing

Community And Hate Crimes In The LGBTQ Community
Throughout society, social workers interact with oppressed groups far and wide. Social workers work
with these groups in hopes of pursuing social justice and to better the lives of these groups with the
usage of clinical referrals, providing individual and group therapy, welfare, and beyond the spectrum
as they establish a rapport with their clients simultaneously. One of the many groups is the LGBTQ
(lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning) community. For as long as history can write itself,
the LGBTQ community has faced various forms of attacks to their population; which then damages
society as a whole. The LGBTQ community faces several forms of oppression that is based off of the
fear, unfamiliarity, and hatred of those around them. This may cause them to have an enormous
distrust in society, suicide, and prominent discomfort. It is the social worker s responsibility to address
this community s pain and provide them the means, including empathy and appropriate resources,
necessary to climb the social ladder to equality physically and mentally. First and foremost, the
LGBTQ community faces a myriad amount of hate crimes. Hate crimes are defined by Congress as
criminal offense against a person or property motivated in whole or in part by an offender s bias
against a race, religion, disability, ethnic origin or sexual orientation (Plumm , K.M., Potter, S.,
Terrance, C.A.,2015). Typically, hate crimes are categorized differently from other crimes against

Incidents In The Life Of A Slave Girl Analysis
Cracker( person would whip slaves) , Flogging( the beating of someone with a stick or whip for
punishment), are horrible concepts that depict the laments of chattel slavery in the United States. The
gory nature of slavery depicted through most testimonies involve one of these horrific concepts.
However, the book, Incidents in the Life Of a Slave Girl , show the lesser talked about psychological
anguish Blacks would experience. In the Book we see Linda Brent (the protagonist) mental agony as
she progressives through her narrative. Women that helped her mature life would be Mrs Flint, Aunty
Nancy, and the mistress of her friend Betty. The order in which they impacted, is Mrs Flint gave her a
more open minded perspective on chattel slavery, Aunt nancy is the inspiration for Lindas escape, and
Betty provides emotional support.
Mrs Flint is the wife of Dr Flint( the antagonist of the book) and through her horrific treatment of

affect the main race perpetuating it negatively as well. Sexual abuse of blacks through a perceived
sense of inferiority was seen as arguably crimless since they were not seen as equals to their white
counterparts. Lindas abuse can be compared to another character like maya in the book I know why

The Art Of Graffiti
In the summer of 2013, a graffiti artist by the name of Lady Pink had police barge into her house in
Queens and arrest her husband for vandalism. They took her art supplies, photo archives, and many of
her prized possessions. She had to sit there, helpless, watching police take away her things. In today s
world right now, expressing yourself creatively is one of the most important things you can do to help
figure out who you are. A part of creative expression is art. Art makes people happy. Graffiti falls into
the art category. For some people, graffiti is what they do to express themselves. Graffiti is art and
shouldn t be illegal. Expressing yourself creatively shouldn t be a crime. Many people think that adults
doing graffiti influences younger kids do it. That s simply not true. A graffiti artist by the name of
Banksy , who is an unidentified artist in England, says Imagine a city where graffiti wasn t illegal, a
city where everybody could draw whatever they liked. Where every street was awash with a million
colors and little phrases. Where standing at a bus stop was never boring. A city that felt like a party
where everyone was invited, not just the estate agents and barons of big business. Graffiti is art and art
is such a wonderful thing that makes others happy. If someone wants to do something that makes them

The Juggler Poem
The poem The juggler describes how the tricks the juggler acts out for the crowd amaze and intrigue
them. In the poem The Juggler by Richard Wilbur, the author uses imagery, figurative language and
tone to describe the juggler as someone who brings happiness and fun to others.
The use of imagery, figurative language, and tone are used to describe the juggler and reveal the
speaker s own views about the world.
In the poem the author uses imagery to describe the juggler s appearance and the tricks he is

this the audience is able to get an insight into the life of the speaker; we are able to see that not a lot of

African American Stereotypes
For many years African Americans have been judged and stereotype based on their appearance.
African American women have been stereotyped as women that are angry, loud, argumentative,
entitled, and hypersexual. More simply, people tend to associate African American women with
negative stereotypes. Although women experience stereotypes women that have lighter skin tend to
have more privileges. Women with light skin tend to be more attractive, sophisticated, and successful.
Historically, people with light skin were beneath Caucasians but they were above African Americans.

them better than people with darker skin. Today people still believe that skin ... Show more content on

Iran Case Study
Moving on to my second point, I would like to discuss the nature of the sanctions implemented on Iran
due to the nuclear issue more in detail so we can get a better realization of what the public civilians in
Iran have gone through. It is worth mentioning that Iran has been facing sanctions with respect to the
selling of any aircraft and any parts related to them and even the maintenance and inspection of
airplanes since 1979. Regardless of the reasons behind it, for a moment let s imagine how would it be

As a case in point, I can personally, as someone who has witnessed these tough situations firsthand,
tell you that all costs and prices, from the price of a bottle of milk or a loaf of bread to the cost of
going from one end of the city to the other, more or less doubled due to the sanctions. Again I would
like to encourage you to just imagine how terrible would it be if the cost of transportation or anything
else in New York City were to double over night.
All the above mentioned on one side, the trouble of not being able to purchase certain medicines and
foods on the other was the most painful of all. Officially, the imposers of these sanctions had excluded
the purchase of medical supplies and certain food from the sanctions; however, here is a part of a
recent study by the Washington DC based Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars:
Even when the most reputable American and European pharmaceutical companies are involved, and
their lawyers have completed all the necessary paperwork from the US Treasury s Office of Foreign
Assets Control (OFAC), nearly all banks that Iran deals with prefer to err on the side of caution. Their
hesitation is understandable given that a mistake could earn a bank the wrath of the US Treasury
Department and fines that exceed $1 billion. The recent experience of a reputable Iranian
pharmaceutical group shows the magnitude of the problem. When a senior company representative

Reflection On Conflict
In this paper I will describe a conflict that has occurred in my life. It had a huge impact on my second
year of college and even today things still pop up from it, because I still run into each of these girls. In
this particular conflict between my old roommates we will review a course concept involving the four
phases of conflict escalation. Starting with phase one, a perceived threat to someone, followed by
defensiveness, then stonewalling, and lastly contempt. After the conflict occurs, one of the parties uses
the course concept of face saving by portraying something that is not really her true feeling. In order
to overcome this conflict, I will discuss how the parties need to mediate and learn to communicate
efficiently, as well as listen to each other more. The course concept I will use to help solve the conflict
is a facultative method with a third party intervention. I am also hoping to make a facilitating
reappraisal, where it might be possible to reframe the conflict. While discussing facilitating
reappraisal we will dig deeper into discussing third party intervention, which I believe both parties
may need.
My rationale for this particular choice of conflict is based on the horrible living experience I went
through last year. After the conflict, my roommates continued to struggle to get along and would argue
over little things, when there seemed to be something deeper. It bothered me for a long time because it
also impacted me. Our first year of living together everything went well, however it all started when
our lease came to an end so we were going to have to resign. So my roommates and I ended up
picking a different town house in the same apartment complex because it was bigger. The week before
it came time to sign Kaia had said that she wanted a room on the third floor. Beth at some point in
time had said she wanted a room with a window since the previous year she had not had one. Well, a
week went by and the last day to sign was here. However, Kaia got up that morning and went ahead
and signed because she was going to be gone all day bridesmaid shopping for her sister. When Beth
went up to sign later she was upset because she had apparently wanted the third floor with the window

Benefits Of A New School Year
Starting a new school year is a joy for most students, as they take pleasure in moving up to a higher
grade level and given more academic and sports opportunities to show off their independent.
However, for other students, the start of another school year is a burden, especially when they re
forced out of summer vacation mode, into a daily routine of having to get up early, expected to follow
school rules again and given a daily dose of homework. Yet, regardless of how one may view the start
a new school term, it is indeed a great opportunity to start over, make new friends, work harder either
on the field or in the classroom and become the best student possible. To ensure your little one(s) have

over ten years to originally draft the UCC, and a further fourteen years for the UCC to be implemented

In this case, the bank did what it was supposed to do. The court held that a corporate resolution given

Slavery During The United States
It seems as though slavery has always been etched into our history since the beginning of time. The
first recordings of slaves are from the Biblical times. From the Babylonian s, 18th century BC; to the
abolishment of slavery in the United States, 1865; people across the world endured the hardships of
slavery. People of all races were enslaved, from the Jews to the African American people. The Jewish
people suffered a great deal from the Holocaust, according to, the Detroit News, Germany has agreed

discriminated against, beaten and separated from the whites.
Many leaders came about during these times in order to lead the African American people out of
racism and to establish equal rights for themselves. Many well known activists such as W.E.B DuBois,
Booker T. Washington, Marcus Garvey and Malcolm X all paved the way for African Americans and
their advancement. But it was not until the Civil Rights Movement, led by Martin Luther King, Jr, that
made major strides for the African American people.
The Civil Rights Movement, ...is the courage and tenacity people showed in their own communities in

The Health Information Exchange And Hie
Introduction When it comes to healthcare there are a lot of things that have evolved. One in particular
is that of the patients health care records and how they are written as well as being stored. In this paper
I will be discussing the evolution of this process via the Health Information Exchange or HIE. This
will involve the history of the system, problems that are involved in this evolution, as well as the
security issues that will need to be addressed when moving from different types of records. A lot of
things have evolved when it comes to patient records in the medical field. In medical facilities the
patient records use to be in paper form. There would be multiple pages of patient information, doctor
notes, physical findings as well as diagnoses. These were all kept in a filing cabinet where mostly
anyone could obtain the files and have the patient s information. If the patient was at a different
facility these records would then have to be mailed over which is not the most secure way to transfer a
patients personal health records. It was then evolved that records should now be made electronically.
This is so that security and transmission of a patients record can be more reliable. The Health
Information Exchange (HIE) started to evolve around 1990. This is when the Community Health
Information System was also created in order to get the electronic records started. The State HIE
Cooperative Agreement Program which was authorized by section 3013 of the Public

The Issue Of Paid Parental Leave
INTRODUCTION
Is America falling behind the rest of the world in terms of the services it provides? As a proud citizen
of this great nation I, unfortunately, have to say yes. Our once outstanding country has been falling
behind in a number of areas including technology, education, economics, and yes, even in family care!
America is now one of only three industrialized countries that hasn t set up a nationwide policy for
paid parental leave. With this knowledge I desired to know more, particularly if we as a nation are not
doing much to rectify the situation. Then, to learn if any states were doing something about this issue
which effects so many people in the workforce. I wanted to see exactly how far behind, compared to
the rest world, we are in the issue of paid parental leave. The Pew Research Center conducted a study
of government supported leave in 38 OECD countries, and found that the US had the lowest figures
with zero weeks of paid leave. Though we did fare better when it came to the number of weeks
provided for protected leave with 12 weeks. We were still far worse than most other OECD countries
(see Figure 1 at right). Knowing that we were rated worse I wanted to know what people are saying
that we can and should be doing to change this situation?
BACKGROUND
The first recorded policy involving working pregnant women was in 1877 in Switzerland. It stated that
a women could not work for at least six weeks after giving birth. Then in 1878 Germany issued a

The Three Laws Of Thermodynamics
Thermodynamics...
Thermodynamics is a branch in physics that deal with heat and temperature and how they are related
with energy and work. There are 3 laws of thermodynamics which are used almost every day and
some of them are present in our body.
Thermoregulation:
Thermoregulation is process by which our body keeps our internal body temperature constant. Our
optimum body temperature is 37°C to 40°C. Whenever our body temperature increases or decreases
our internal system brings our temperature back to normal.
As the second law of thermodynamics states, the energy will spread from a high concentration to low
concentration or heat moves from high temperature to low temperature , similarly when our body
temperature increases our internal system tries to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Higher the entropy the more disordered is the system. As the second law of thermodynamics states,
the entropy of a system will either increase or remain the same.
Entropy can be used in monitoring a patient s EEG. EEG is Electroencephalography which is a
method used to record a patient s electric activity of the brain. It measure the voltage fluctuation of
ionic current within the neurons of the brain.
Mainly there are two entropy parameters, the fast reacting Response Entropy (RE) and the more
steady and robust State Entropy (ST). State entropy consists of the entropy of the EEG signals 32 Hz.
Response Entropy includes high frequencies up to 47 Hz.
Advantages:
1. Depth of anesthesia used
2. Possibility for the reduction of anesthetic related side effects.
Disadvantages:
1. It is necessary to understand the theoretical foundations that are associated with the design which
includes basic understanding the relation between GA and consciousness.

Corporate Capacity And Authority
Corporate capacity and authority were essential legal concepts which contained rules for when and
how a company ought to be legally recognised as having validly acted and entered into a binding
contract with third parties. Broadly speaking, the rules which applied to corporate capacity were the
ultra vires doctrine and the doctrine of constructive notice. In regard to the concept of corporate
authority, both the ultra vires doctrine and the doctrine of constructive notice also applied however
their application was curtailed by the Turquand rule. The Turquand rule therefore only applied when
the authority of directors was in question. A definitional overview of the concepts of corporate
capacity and authority will be provided below, along with brief description of the doctrine of
constructive notice and the Turquand rule. The thesis deals with the above concepts and discusses how

Enkidu As A Hero In The Epic Of Gilgamesh
In the Epic of Gilgamesh, Enkidu helps act as a catalyst for the transformation of Gilgamesh s
character from an undefeatable god like brute into a complex thinker. In the eyes of Gilgamesh, he is
unstoppable and is willing to challenge death itself so long as he is remembered as a hero by his
subjects. With Enkidu s help, Gilgamesh learns to become a better person as a ruler, not as a better
warrior. Although not blood related, Enkidu was like a brother to Gilgamesh and the duo shared an
inseparable bond. Throughout the epic, Enkidu teaches Gilgamesh that he is not unstoppable, being
stubborn will not stop him from dying, and that there are no easy solutions to life.
At the beginning of the epic, before Enkidu is introduced, Gilgamesh is described by the narrator as
godly and fit for Uruk s throne by default. These descriptions are vital in order to interpret how the
villagers feel and also to perceive just how mighty Enkidu has to be in order to rival Gilgamesh.
Supreme over other kings, lordly in appearance, /he is the hero, born of Uruk, the goring wild bull.
/He walks out in front, the leader, / (1. 27 29). The narrator speaks extremely fondly to emphasize just
how mighty the main character is and that no other men in any of the nearby regions seem to come
close when the level of their manliness is compared to that of Gilgamesh. The use of the words
Supreme and Lordly indicate that in Gilgamesh s point of view, he is doing an excellent job of

Carrying Capacity The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but
because of the people who don t do anything about it (Albert Einstein). In our world today people are
ignorant. Humans use their imagination too much and their brain too little. Also, people don t do
anything to solve their problems because we think nothing could go wrong, we expect others do fix

website worldhunger.org tells us about how there is enough food on this earth for everyone to get a

Natural Disasters. Everything else is kind of preventable and fixable, but not Natural Disasters, they

Essay A. Marcello Oboe Concerto in D Minor

From the journal of Antonio Vivaldi
December 12, 1717
As noted in a previous journal entry, I had made a trip to Cöthen where the great composer, Johann
Sebastian Bach, is under the service of Prince Leopold. There I heard a recent keyboard transcription
of Bach s. The transcription was of a piece called Concerto in D minor for Oboe, Strings and Basso
Continuo. Bach listed the composer as the well known Venetian composer Benedetto Marcello. As I
listened to the piece, I was captured by the simple yet eloquent melodies that were presented but I also
was curious as I had not known of Benedetto to write for oboe. I also know that Marcello stated,

There are three Marcello brothers, Alessandro, Benedetto and Girolamo, who were born of nobility
here in Venice. Benedetto is well known for his music. Alessandro composes also but his interests
actually lie more with philosophy, mathematics, history, chemistry, painting and poetry. Alessandro
has a small body of work in music. This is probably due to him being much more of a figure head in
the Venetian government since his father passed away in 1707. Benedetto has a much larger body of
work composing of many instrumental and sacred vocal pieces. I recalled that considering the
academic pursuits of the Marcellos, that it was possible that they were members of the Arcadian
colony. The Arcadians were a new movement of intellectuals that emphasized the respect of artistic
achievement and a return to the Greek ideals that music and poetry worked together. They also wished
to avoid lavish displays and encouraged simplicity. The Arcadians would also use pseudonyms and I
discovered that the pseudonym of Eterio Stinfalico belonged to Alessandro Marcello.
Now that I learned who the true author was, I went to seek out Alessandro. It is typical of nobles such
as the Marcello to conduct concerts in their home. I went to the Palazzo Marcello and discovered a
concert was being performed that had the concerto on its program. The oboist was unknown to me.
The audience contained mostly nobles and government

Travel Of The Travel Nursing Industry
The travel nursing industry has been on the upswing for 30 years. Through this three decade old
history, it s had more ups than downs when it comes to supply and demand. Hospitals and clinics
across the country are guaranteed to experience staff shortages from time to time. In addition, many
hospitals are being forced to adapt hiring policies to secure higher nurse to patient ratios. Along with
the creation of vendor management systems, travel nursing has been a healthy business far and wide.
Through the late 80 s, the travel nursing machine experienced its peak with close to 10,000 nurses
available. Today, there are 20,000+ registered travel nurses that form part of a $2 billion dollar
industry, along with countless staff recruitment agencies sharing in the pie. As of April 2006, there are
around 5000 travel nurse openings available; a significant upward climb from the 2500 spots available
three years ago. This speaks volumes over the potential of the healthcare travel industry in the future.
Travel nursing allows experienced and honed nurses to practice their craft caring for patients while
exploring different parts of the country while collecting a salary up to 20% higher than a standard
nurse. As aforementioned, the industry has had more ups than downs. Currently, the travel nursing
industry is experiencing an up swing, with experts predicting a high rate of growth for nursing

The movie is significant for the cinematograph, because it is not only running against the dominant
American politics of the time, rife with suspicions of anything vaguely socialist, but it is also engaging
with issues of women s rights and female equality, that literally had not been documented in film

Esperanza gave birth while her husband was beating by policemen, and couple thought about each

Disaster Disasters And Its Impact On A Population
Disasters, at their most basic, arise when hazards have a significant impact on a population. A 7.0
magnitude earthquake that would be a devastating disaster in a densely populated and vulnerable city,
may be a relatively insignificant geologic occurrence when it strikes an unoccupied island chain. Risk
of a disaster is more traditionally calculated by identification of the potential hazard, assess in relation
of likelihood of an event as it relates to the potential impact severity or risk = probability x
impact/loss. (Smith 2013). For preparedness, risk formulas are insufficient in the absence of context
and consideration for social vulnerability, Birkmann (2007) encourages us to shift away from viewing
disasters as large scale events ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Initial results of the digital search showed a predominance of earthquake information (90%), very few
addressing fire (7%) and even fewer addressing both (3%) Additionally, only 8 % of web and mobile

varied widely in quality, detail, and accessibility, but most focused on raising awareness of the hazard
and general home based actions for general or single hazard preparedness specifically; minor
acknowledgements of the potential for a subsequent and arising additional hazard (e.g. post
earthquake shut off of gas if there is leak to prevent fire), but none noted the significant link between
the two hazards. There is a further leap between the small fixes that can be enacted by individuals and
those that are more significant or structural changes. These initial findings show a gap that our
research might address.
Yet, despite all of the information that exists, it has been noted that neither public perception of risk
nor perceived knowledge of the hazard and government response arrangements alone are necessarily
correlated to preparedness action either in intention to adopt mitigation measures or in their actual
uptake (Lindell Whitney 2000). Some

demand, or in other words by leading capacity, on account of the fact that the opening of the new 11
store hospital building will increase yearly birthing capacity to 16,000, which is far above the
estimated 13,600 births expected during 2007, as shown by Table S7.3. Furthermore, the fact that the

That is to say, the population in the area may for example be aging and thus birth rates may fall, etc.
Also, they need to look at the economic situation in the area as well. By that I mean looking at
whether young couples/families are continuing to move into the area? Are there enough job
opportunities in the area that will fuel growth of this demographic group? All this may affect
population growth and subsequently birth rates. 3. Using Excel s data analysis regression tool, the
follow data was found by plugging in the years (coded from 1 through 13) in column A and the
number of births in column B and then substituting column A for input X range and column B for
input Y range:

The Development of New Coating Materials
PECVD
Summary :
Recent advances in science and technology have stimulated the development of new coating materials,
surface and interface engineering processes, and thin film systems, that provide ever improving
performance in numerous areas, ranging from optics and optoelectronics to aerospace, automotive,
biomedical, microelectronics, and other applications.
PECVD Process :
In PECVD processing, glow discharge plasmas are sustained within chambers where simultaneous
CVD reactions occur. Generally, the radio frequencies employed range from about 100 kHz to 40
MHz at gas pressures between 50 mtorr to 5 torr. Under these conditions, electron and positive ion
densities number between lo9 and 101*/cm3, and average electron energies range from 1 to 10 eV.
This energetic discharge environment is sufficient to decompose gas molecules into a variety of
component species, such as electrons, ions, atoms, and molecules in ground and excited states, free
radicals, etc. The net effect of the interactions among these reactive molecular fragments is to cause
chemical reactions to occur at much lower temperatures than in conventional CVD reactors without
benefit of plasmas. Therefore, previously unfeasible high temperature reactions can be made to occur
on temperature sensitive substrates.
Typical cylindrical, radial flow, silicon nitride deposition reactor
The tube or tunnel reactors employed can be coupled inductively with a coil or capacitively with
electrode plates. In both cases,

The Psychological And Psychological Crises Of Kuber And Yank
Sometimes, rather most often, some questions, raised by the impuissant, are never answered; rather
suppressed. Some are never raised as the powerless people, who do not possess the internal and
external courage to pose the hundreds of unanswered questions regarding survival, have been in
severe crisis of existence throughout their life span living as inferior, in terms of every acknowledged
and unacknowledged fundamental needs, among the superior as an evidence and representative of
furtive humanity. This work is an attempt to point out the psychological and physiological crises of
Kuber and Yank, that are contributed by the conflicting factors and forces exist in the society where
extreme dichotomy prevails between and among the people of two opposite classes : one is the upper
class, that always endeavors to exploit the opposite class and, sometimes, homogenous class as well
and the other is the lower class that is always exploited in different forms with the mechanical tools
adopted cunningly, foolishly, intentionally, unintentionally and consciously or subconsciously by the
upper class.

The Chronic Disease Burden Has Increased The Need For A...
The chronic disease burden has increased the need for a statewide and national approach in its
detection, prevention, and treatment of heart failure. In the state of Indiana heart disease is shown to
be leading the way with a total of 13,394 individuals who have died in 2013 (Indiana State, 2013). The
health indicators show that although the mortality rate has decreased from 42.3 per 100,000 in 2001 to
37.3 per 100,000 hospitalization rates have increased (Center for Disease, 2011). Heart failure
rehospitalization rate has increased from 2007 2011 especially in those who are over the age of 85. In
2011, there were a total of 41.9 per 1,000 hospitalizations due to heart failure. This is gradually
increasing from the Healthy People 2020 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The cardiac muscle cells can be affected by heart disease through the inability to maintain its
homeostasis through the calcium pump. If there is excess calcium within the heart it results in the in
ability of the heart muscle to relax. As a result, the ADP/ATP ratio increases, phosphocreatine
decreases, and energy stores are depleted. Furthermore, this imbalance affects the energy needed to
relax the left ventricle. Secondly, diastolic heart failure can occur from changes in preload, afterload,
renin angiotension aldosterone system, and the sympathetic nervous system. These changes affect the
fibrillar collagen within the extracellular matrix that affects the ability of the ventricular to relax.
These changes along with those compensatory mechanisms results in continuous resistance that results
in increased in left ventricular end diastolic pressure (McCance Huether, 2010). Systolic heart failure
results from the inability of the cardiac muscle to contract effectively from inadequate cardiac output.
As the cardiac output drops, compensatory mechanisms to try to restore its function through takes
place by ventricular remodeling. During this remodeling phase, the heart begins to develop changes in
its size and becomes hypertrophic that results in a decreased ability of the heart to contract, decreased
available oxygen, and available ATP. Secondly, this hypertrophic states increases preload that results

The Application Of An Obese Prevention Program
Executive Summary This evaluation will assess the impact of the application of an obese prevention
program conducted in two different elementary schools to determine if the program can be spread and
impact the children s knowledge and behavior about healthy eating and exercise. The purpose of this
evaluation is to determine whether an after school obesity prevention program can enhance the young
children s awareness and understanding to improve their health. The objectives of the program was to
further educate children on healthy eating such as what foods are good or bad for them and increase
their participation in exercise.1 Another reason for the implementation of an obesity program in an
after school programs to see whether it can be fitted into the children s curriculum of having more
physical and health education than having mostly on academics.1 The evaluation methods that the
evaluators used a modified version of the Traffic Light Diet program which used the traffic light
colors: green, yellow, and red to categorize which food are good and bad.1 This program also include
coaches that does motivational interviewing with the children to help them throughout the program.
The main outcomes of this program were there was an improvement in the children s reports about
eating habits, better decisions in food choices, and knowledge about what are bad and good foods.1
The physical activity improved in one of the school whereas the other school did not improved.1 Also,

Importance Of Muslim Values In The Arabian Nights
The Arabian Nights also known as 1001 nights is a collection of entertaining and meaningful stories
within stories translated by Husian Haddawy. According to Haddawy, The stories in The Arabian
Nights are works that have been collected over centuries from India, Persia, and Arabia . The stories in
the book are not only entertaining but are also meaningful. Even though The Arabian Nights does not
relate to the Quran, there are important Muslim values that are emphasized in the stories, and these
values can be applied to our everyday life. Some important Muslim values in The Arabian Nights are
the value of aiding those in need, the value of telling the truth, and the value of taking responsibility of
your actions. The most important out of all these values is the value of aiding those in need.
The value of aiding those in need is emphasize throughout the book, but it is first shown in The Story
of King Shahrayar and Shahrazad, His Vizier s daughter . In this story, Shahrazad aids those in need
by marrying King Shahrayar to prevent him from killing other women after his wife cheated on him.
King Shahrazad grew a strong hatred towards women after his wife cheated on him. As result, he
married a different woman overnight and the next morning he ordered his Vizier to put his wife to
death. When Shahrazad, who is the oldest daughter of the king s Vizier, came to learn of the king s
action of asking her father to marry her to the king, she stated, I would like you to marry me to

The Four Concepts Of Symbolic Interactionism
Symbolic interactions are a major part of how we socialize with others. It happens every day without
us even realizing it. There are many concepts that assist in the formation of symbolic interactions, but
to better understand them, we need to apply them to social settings. The four concepts of social
interactionism theory I chose to observe at the social settings of my choosing were; definition of
situation, symbols, front regions, and role playing. These concepts often interrelate as they all are a
part of each other. To better understand these concepts, they were applied to two different social
settings which were the bar and mass at the Catholic church. The concepts will be defined and
reviewed in the order above.
When we refer to definition of situation, we are referring to what the entrance of the social setting
encompasses. We look at what are the norms, the rules, and what is acceptable in that setting. For
example, when I was entering the bar, there were people outside smoking. To be able to walk through
the front doors, there was a man who one had to give an ID to so he could check the age to allow the
person to get in. When I walked through the doors, there were people sitting at tables in groups of
three to five people on the left who would look to see who was entering the bar. On the right side of
the bar, there were four people playing foosball and two people at each pool table. As I continued to
the back, there were people sitting at the bar visiting.

  • 2. Anti Warfare Counterinsurgency Manual Version Sendero Luminoso is an insurgent organization whose goal is the seizure of power to implement communism in Peru, to this end, it uses revolutionary violence (terrorism, sabotage and guerrilla warfare). The 1989 Peruvian Army ME 41 7, Non Conventional Warfare Counterinsurgency Manual version was the unique official military source that detailed the SL ideology, doctrine, organization, structure, tactics, techniques, and procedures used by this terrorist group; however, SL has changed, and the Peruvian Army does not release valid and official information. Nevertheless, 1989 ME 41 7 version mentioned that SL performs informational campaigns using agitation and propaganda, developing mass agitation; distribution of brochures and flyers; mobilizing rallies and marches using existing broadcasting bodies (newspapers, radio stations, TV., and others.) The Black Book of Sendero Luminoso Insurgency (known as the Black Book) is one of the primary sources to analyze the SL development from 2001 to 2008. This book mentions the SL tactics, procedures, and specific aspects of their method of indoctrination. Forms of struggle are ambushes, assaults, selective annihilations, and revolutionary propaganda and agitation. To run these revolutionary actions; the Party and comrades, commanders and fighters of the People s Revolutionary Army, do not wear hoods and balaclavas, not cover their faces, do not perform pints, not hoisted red flags with the hammer and sickle, leave no signs over the ... There is evidence that shows that there are no extraterrestrial beings in Area 51. Before a reader can understand this essay, they must first know a little background about the subject. In 1955, land was added to an existing grid of the AEC s Atomic Test Site. This land was named Area 51. Over time, things such as accommodations for personnel and a runway were added. For a long time, what went on in Area 51 was kept top secret. This caused many people to speculate that the government was hiding things such as aliens and crashed UFOs there. These speculations led to things such as movies and TV ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... What readers won t find are any references to aliens or other conspiracy theories best left to the realm of science fiction. (America Acknowledges Existence..., 2013).Another example of hearsay evidence is Chris Pocock, a British defence journalist, who stated that everything about the U 2 program had to be kept top secret. The U 2 was absolutely top secret , Chris Pocock, a British defence journalist and author of histories of the programme, told the BBC. They had to hide everything about it. (America Acknowledges Existence..., 2013).The final example of hearsay evidence are Gregory Pedlow and Donald Welzenbach, authors of the book of the history of the U 2 program stated that it was thought to be impossible for planes to fly as high as the U 2 did, which could explain the UFO sightings. • 4. Cave In The Snow Movie Tibetan Buddhism originated in Tibet, but was based off and inspired by Indian Buddhism. Tibetan Buddhists practice the Tantric principles, which are about the attachment to things and desires. Another key practice, with the same name as the early sect of Tibetan Buddhism, is Nyingma, which is that we all can obtain Buddhahood, but individuals must discover it for themselves; with guidance from a teacher. The practice of Nyingma also teaches the gradual discovery of self and to purify the mind. In class, we watched a documentary movie called, Cave in the Snow . The movie discusses a Tibetan nun named Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo, formerly known as Diane Perry, a journey where she spent twelves years practicing a Buddhist meditation in a mountain ... I have this plan to seclude myself in a cabin in the mountains, one day, and just experience the world and my own spirituality through this journey of seclusion. I just want to have the chance to forget about these roles for a few months and just deeper my own consciousness and self. Also, I feel the same as Palmo when she discusses loneliness. About how when she was in the cave it did not feel lonely but when she is in the community it felt lonelier. I relate to this because for some reason when I am around people I feel lonelier and left out. That when I am around people they make me feel like I am an outsider, but when I am alone, in a sense it feels less lonely. No one is there to make me feel like I do not belong, no one is there to make me feel like I stick out. • 5. Internal And External Factors Of Vernon And Raymond... There are internal and external factors that drive companies to approach the global market in a different way as compared to earlier description of traditional stage model. In my current job at Wellco Tank Trucks, Inc., we do not use any type of databases in the daily operations of our business. My only job that involved regular use of a database was at Chilcutt Direct Marketing (CDM) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. From February 2003 to June 2004, I was an Account Executive of Brokerage at CDM. Each employee at Chilcutt Direct Marketing spends an average of five hours per day actively using the Marketing Information Network database. MIN definitely made our jobs at CDM easier but the database would be much more beneficial to the company if a few changes were made. First, there have been several updates released for the AS/400 operating system that CDM uses but they are still using the original version. If they would update their operating system, they would find that the program would be more user friendly and would be much more dependable. The other improvement that needs I suggest is in the consistency of functions within the database. For example, if you are in the order entry screen, the F1 function key is the command for field exit, the F4 key is for deleting and F5 updates the screen. In the order shipment screen, F1 is the command for delete, F4 is update, and F5 is field exit. This makes it very difficult to use and very easy to make mistakes. Social workers work with these groups in hopes of pursuing social justice and to better the lives of these groups with the usage of clinical referrals, providing individual and group therapy, welfare, and beyond the spectrum as they establish a rapport with their clients simultaneously. One of the many groups is the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning) community. • 17. Reflection On Conflict In this paper I will describe a conflict that has occurred in my life. It had a huge impact on my second year of college and even today things still pop up from it, because I still run into each of these girls. In this particular conflict between my old roommates we will review a course concept involving the four phases of conflict escalation. Starting with phase one, a perceived threat to someone, followed by defensiveness, then stonewalling, and lastly contempt. After the conflict occurs, one of the parties uses the course concept of face saving by portraying something that is not really her true feeling. In order to overcome this conflict, I will discuss how the parties need to mediate and learn to communicate efficiently, as well as listen to each other more. The course concept I will use to help solve the conflict is a facultative method with a third party intervention. I am also hoping to make a facilitating reappraisal, where it might be possible to reframe the conflict. While discussing facilitating reappraisal we will dig deeper into discussing third party intervention, which I believe both parties may need. My rationale for this particular choice of conflict is based on the horrible living experience I went through last year. After the conflict, my roommates continued to struggle to get along and would argue over little things, when there seemed to be something deeper. It bothered me for a long time because it also impacted me. Our first year of living together everything went well, however it all started when our lease came to an end so we were going to have to resign. So my roommates and I ended up picking a different town house in the same apartment complex because it was bigger. Beth at some point in time had said she wanted a room with a window since the previous year she had not had one. Well, a week went by and the last day to sign was here. In this paper I will be discussing the evolution of this process via the Health Information Exchange or HIE. This will involve the history of the system, problems that are involved in this evolution, as well as the security issues that will need to be addressed when moving from different types of records. A lot of things have evolved when it comes to patient records in the medical field. In medical facilities the patient records use to be in paper form. There would be multiple pages of patient information, doctor notes, physical findings as well as diagnoses. These were all kept in a filing cabinet where mostly anyone could obtain the files and have the patient s information. If the patient was at a different facility these records would then have to be mailed over which is not the most secure way to transfer a patients personal health records. It was then evolved that records should now be made electronically. This is so that security and transmission of a patients record can be more reliable. The Health Information Exchange (HIE) started to evolve around 1990. This is when the Community Health Information System was also created in order to get the electronic records started. • 26. Corporate Capacity And Authority Corporate capacity and authority were essential legal concepts which contained rules for when and how a company ought to be legally recognised as having validly acted and entered into a binding contract with third parties. Broadly speaking, the rules which applied to corporate capacity were the ultra vires doctrine and the doctrine of constructive notice. In regard to the concept of corporate authority, both the ultra vires doctrine and the doctrine of constructive notice also applied however their application was curtailed by the Turquand rule. The Turquand rule therefore only applied when the authority of directors was in question. A definitional overview of the concepts of corporate capacity and authority will be provided below, along with brief description of the doctrine of constructive notice and the Turquand rule. The thesis deals with the above concepts and discusses how the Companies Act 71 of 2008 (the Act) modified the law, particularly, by extending the legal capacity of a company and extinguishing or modifying the above rules which had previously restricted a company s ability ... Enkidu As A Hero In The Epic Of Gilgamesh In the Epic of Gilgamesh, Enkidu helps act as a catalyst for the transformation of Gilgamesh s character from an undefeatable god like brute into a complex thinker. In the eyes of Gilgamesh, he is unstoppable and is willing to challenge death itself so long as he is remembered as a hero by his subjects. With Enkidu s help, Gilgamesh learns to become a better person as a ruler, not as a better warrior. Although not blood related, Enkidu was like a brother to Gilgamesh and the duo shared an inseparable bond. Throughout the epic, Enkidu teaches Gilgamesh that he is not unstoppable, being stubborn will not stop him from dying, and that there are no easy solutions to life. At the beginning of the epic, before Enkidu is introduced, Gilgamesh is described by the narrator as godly and fit for Uruk s throne by default. These descriptions are vital in order to interpret how the villagers feel and also to perceive just how mighty Enkidu has to be in order to rival Gilgamesh. Supreme over other kings, lordly in appearance, /he is the hero, born of Uruk, the goring wild bull. /He walks out in front, the leader, / (1. 27 29). The narrator speaks extremely fondly to emphasize just how mighty the main character is and that no other men in any of the nearby regions seem to come close when the level of their manliness is compared to that of Gilgamesh. There I heard a recent keyboard transcription of Bach s. The transcription was of a piece called Concerto in D minor for Oboe, Strings and Basso Continuo. There are three Marcello brothers, Alessandro, Benedetto and Girolamo, who were born of nobility here in Venice. Benedetto is well known for his music. Alessandro composes also but his interests actually lie more with philosophy, mathematics, history, chemistry, painting and poetry. Alessandro has a small body of work in music. This is probably due to him being much more of a figure head in the Venetian government since his father passed away in 1707. Benedetto has a much larger body of work composing of many instrumental and sacred vocal pieces. I recalled that considering the academic pursuits of the Marcellos, that it was possible that they were members of the Arcadian colony. The Arcadians were a new movement of intellectuals that emphasized the respect of artistic achievement and a return to the Greek ideals that music and poetry worked together. They also wished to avoid lavish displays and encouraged simplicity. The Arcadians would also use pseudonyms and I discovered that the pseudonym of Eterio Stinfalico belonged to Alessandro Marcello. The Development of New Coating Materials PECVD Summary : Recent advances in science and technology have stimulated the development of new coating materials, surface and interface engineering processes, and thin film systems, that provide ever improving performance in numerous areas, ranging from optics and optoelectronics to aerospace, automotive, biomedical, microelectronics, and other applications. PECVD Process : In PECVD processing, glow discharge plasmas are sustained within chambers where simultaneous CVD reactions occur. Generally, the radio frequencies employed range from about 100 kHz to 40 MHz at gas pressures between 50 mtorr to 5 torr. Under these conditions, electron and positive ion densities number between lo9 and 101*/cm3, and average electron energies range from 1 to 10 eV. This energetic discharge environment is sufficient to decompose gas molecules into a variety of component species, such as electrons, ions, atoms, and molecules in ground and excited states, free radicals, etc. The net effect of the interactions among these reactive molecular fragments is to cause chemical reactions to occur at much lower temperatures than in conventional CVD reactors without benefit of plasmas. Therefore, previously unfeasible high temperature reactions can be made to occur on temperature sensitive substrates. The cardiac muscle cells can be affected by heart disease through the inability to maintain its homeostasis through the calcium pump. If there is excess calcium within the heart it results in the in ability of the heart muscle to relax. As a result, the ADP/ATP ratio increases, phosphocreatine decreases, and energy stores are depleted. Furthermore, this imbalance affects the energy needed to relax the left ventricle. Secondly, diastolic heart failure can occur from changes in preload, afterload, renin angiotension aldosterone system, and the sympathetic nervous system. These changes affect the fibrillar collagen within the extracellular matrix that affects the ability of the ventricular to relax. These changes along with those compensatory mechanisms results in continuous resistance that results in increased in left ventricular end diastolic pressure (McCance Huether, 2010). Systolic heart failure results from the inability of the cardiac muscle to contract effectively from inadequate cardiac output. As the cardiac output drops, compensatory mechanisms to try to restore its function through takes place by ventricular remodeling. During this remodeling phase, the heart begins to develop changes in its size and becomes hypertrophic that results in a decreased ability of the heart to contract, decreased available oxygen, and available ATP.
