The Right To Freedom Of Freedom
The freedom of assembly and demonstration is pivotal to a democratic society due to the fact that
peaceful protest allows citizens to participate in democracy by being active in governmental affairs
through voicing their grievances and opinions in a peaceful manner. The right to freedom of assembly
guarantees the possibility of peaceful protest without government interference and allows those
protesting safety and security and also allows those protesting to make use of their right to freedom of
expression. The act of peaceful protest allows citizens to make their voices heard when they usually
would not be, for citizens to raise and draw attention to issues that concern them and to circumvent
traditional legal processes whilst putting pressure on the government so as to not allow them to
infringe upon their rights. This right allows those who are vulnerable and powerless to express their
concerns in the only way available to them in a way that was disallowed during the Apartheid era and
is therefore pivotal in the exercise of all other rights afforded to the citizens of South Africa in the
Constitution. The right to freedom of assembly only applies when this assembly is peaceful, without
weapons, destruction of property and violence and therefore internally regulates itself by limiting its
own scope. The act states that no participants of a gathering may have any dangerous weapon in their
possession; a dangerous weapon is defined as any object that is not a firearm but

Relationship Between People And Environment
What is the relationship between people and the environment?
Wesley Jean
Florida Gulf Coast University
Undergraduate Studies Fall 2017 IDS 3920 CRN 80335
To emulate the relationship between people and the environment, I find it best to consider Newton s
third law of motion which states; For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Meaning
that for every change made in nature, there will be an inevitable change in mankind a theory that can
easily be proven justifiable. There are a myriad of examples that proves a linear relationship between
people and the environment some for the good and unfortunately some for the worse. However, in an
effort to illustrate and thoroughly explain the dynamic relationship between people and the
environment, I will provide research on what I view as the three most distinguished areas where the
nature of our relationship can not be ignored. These topics include our effects on other species,
climate, and collectively vegetation and landscape. To begin, over the course of history human
activities have drastically changed or destroyed the natural habitats that are essential to the survival of
plants and animals. We have been known to pollute habitats, hunt and kill animals illegally, and our
trivial need to fulfill our aches for luxurious lifestyle often has the side effect and disrespecting home
and resources of other species that we share the plant Earth with. Our human population is multiplying
at an alarming rate

Responsibility In Chronicle Of A Death Foretold
Where Does Ultimate Responsibility lie for the death of Santiago Nasar, in Chronicle of a Death
Foretold?
On the day they were going to kill him [1], is the opening to Chronicle of a Death Foretold, by Gabriel
Marquez, is a novella written in the form of a pseudo journalistic reconstruction;, in which the reader
is told about the murder death from the first line. Here comes the importance of the theme of
responsibility; we, along with the narrator, work backwards to unravel the reasons and the mysteries
behind the murder. However, we must differentiate between two opposite aspects of this theme;
responsibility and action. Some characters were prominently conventionally responsible for the death
of Santiago, through their actions. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, they both determined, not to mention it to the latter. It could be perceived that she, as a
young woman, just stepping into the world of adolescence, was not yet able define her feelings
towards Santiago. The narrator comments that, (Divina) didn t warn him because she was nothing but
a frightened child at the time, incapable of a decision of her own. She was unclear about her feelings
towards him and permitted her mother to decide for her. However, Divina s main contribution to the
theme of responsibility arises at the end of the novella. She led Plácida Linero, into locking the door,
deeming believing that she had seen Santiago had gone up to his room. Yet, in fact the latter, was
assaulted by the Vicario twins, in front of his house and the narrator comments that, (he) only lacked a
few seconds to get in when the door closed. (Marquez, P.119) Despite, the fact that her illusion sounds
implausible, Divina confirms that she had seen him come inside the house, It was a very clear vision
(Marquez, P.118). We, as the readers are left with no option but to believe her.
Two other characters; LeonardoLeandro Pornoy and Colonel Aponte can be both held responsible for
the murder, they had equivalent chances to save Santiago s life. LeonardoLeandro Pornoy, the
policeman, was given first hand information, when the Vicario twins, informed him of their intent to
kill Santiago. However, his ignorance prevented him from arresting them or even

The Mmr Vaccine Did Cause Autism
Although many people do not vaccinate for religious reasons, that does not mean they will be
protected by their close communities and close relationships and religion. Many outbreaks are
centraled in geographic areas and tight knit communities that have many people that share the same
values and beliefs. For example, in Texas, a megachurch voiced vaccination concerns and all believed
that it was not safe to vaccinate (Silverman, 2013). They were convinced that the MMR vaccine did
cause autism. There were many families that were part of the church that had a history of autism in
their family, and did not want to chance it. So instead of asking for a different schedule of vaccines
and not bundling the MMR, the families and others opted out of the MMR vaccine entirely
(Silverman, 2013). A visitor came to the church, after being in Indonesia, and, unknowingly, was
carrying measles. When people that had not been vaccinated were exposed, their bodies could not
fight it off and a breakout of measles overtook the church (Silverman, 2013). After that incident, the
church began holding seminars and conferences that explained the importance of vaccines and why
vaccines are safe, for their members. (Silverman, 2013) There are many personal reasons as to be
exempt from vaccinating. From religious, to your own concerns or reasoning, and many people are
now wanting more strict rules on exemptions of vaccines. There are now discussions concerning
parents of unvaccinated children, and

How Did St Augustine Religion Influence Teens
When you think about Augustine s confession, you think about the new generation. In other words, the
conversion that happened over a thousand years ago can be closely related to teenagers of the 21st
century. Before Christianity was developed, a lot of people, especially the Roman emperors could not
accept it. They condemned and harassed the Christians who would claim their faith. When Christianity
was finally accepted, there were still people who contradict with the Christian faith.
Teenagers today find it difficult to come to God, they do not take a straight path. This is similar to
what St Augustine did, teenagers of today try to find meaning in life by being experimental with
different religions or cults. Augustine experimented with the Manicheans, a Persian dualist cult that
believed in two competing gods. The only difference between teenagers of today and Augustine is that
teenagers of today do not go to extreme as St Augustine did rather, they experiment with some of the
main religions. Augustine later saw through the Persian dualist cult and abandoned it. His mother,

death as seen in the lyrics of Empires of Loneliness that describe the last moments of a man who has
sunken into deep despair. Introduced in the theme of loss, hell connotes negative feelings such as pain,
anxiety, and fear, but also love. Love can be destructive and obsessive passion as seen in the following
four examples. In lyrics of With You Came the Whole of the World s Tears , 10 Silver Bullets ,
Silhouettes , and Abandoned by the Light portray love as a feeling that causes despair, whereas in the
lyrics of Empires of Loneliness we see the last moments of a man in deep despair, however the reason
behind his despair is kept hidden.
The first example of despair comes from With You Came the Whole of the World s Tears . The lyrics
are written from the first person viewpoint and portray the agony and despair of the narrator who has
fallen in love but for some reason is separated from his lover. In the beginning, the narrator is begging
Saint Peter to save him by sending him to hell. He is convinced that that is where he will find her .

The narrator realizes that there is no salvage for them or for their love. The narrator acknowledges his
own misperception of the gender roles as he had falsely believed that Woman is a creator, man is a
destroyer , however she was the one who destroyed him. For the narrator their love was divine but as
he understands now it was nothing but a lie and that they are mere mortals. They are just the worms of
the earth . 10 Silver Bullets seems to continue the story seen in With You Came the Whole of the
World s Tears . The latter represented a man desperately desiring to be united with his lost love object.
He begged to be send to Hell and in 10 Silver Bullets the narrator is seen in Hell as he confronts her as

Bilingualism And Bilingualism
According to a 2006 European Commission survey, 56% of respondents said they could speak a
language other than their mother tongue. In many countries, the proportion of bilinguals is much
higher. For example, 99% of Luxembourg and 95% of Latvian populations speak more than one
language. Even in the United States, where English is pre dominantly used as a single language, a
large number of people using non English languages at home have increased by 140% since 1980.
Thus, bilingualism is an extensive cultural, linguistic, and cognitive phenomenon that is extensively
carried out in modern society. Bilingualism bridges the understanding of the world around us,
communicating with others, promoting the sharing of cultural phenomena. Many ... Show more

In many studies, bilingual learners brain can have better attentiveness and the ability to switch tasks
than a mono lingual learner s brain because of their cognitive ability to control to suppress one
language while using another language or switch from one language to another language
simultaneously. Bilingualism also positively affects learners academic progress (Saer, D. J. 1923).
Moreover, studies on bilingual language processing have shown that when bilingual speakers, listen
to, read, or produce sentences, linguistic competency in both languages is activated, even when the
speaker uses one language (Kroll, J. F., Bobb, S. C., Hoshino, N. (2014). This cross language
activation can be detected in both beginners and highly skilled bilinguals and can be found at various
levels of language processing system, such as lexicon, phonology, and grammar. In particular,
cognitive research on bilingualism suggests that a bilingual speaker s second language, which is not
used in word recognition and language production, is being suppressed and the language that tends to
be self controlled is the native language of the speaker, not the second foreign language, implying that
the native language is indeed compromised to accommodate the second language. The control system
used to cognitively prohibit and switch languages is a control system commonly used for

The Message In The Deserted Village By Oliver Goldsmith
Oliver Goldsmith wrote the poem The Deserted Village in protest against the social changes that he
witnessed during his travels around England. There are numerous quotes in the poem that encapsulate
the message that Goldsmith is trying to put across. The fictional village of Auburn has now become a
place where wealth accumulates, and men decay ; this is quite a disturbing image as it is now evident
that Auburn is no longer the beautiful and rustic village that it was before the introduction of the
Enclosure acts. The quote in question encapsulates the theme and is of extreme importance to ones
understanding of the work; it sums up the message and the argument that Goldsmith is trying to put
across. Goldsmith is completely condemning the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Goldsmith saw many incidents of rustic towns and beautiful countryside being completely destroyed
for the benefit of the wealthier community (Rowley 132). These incidents that he was witness to
inspired him to write The Deserted Village which is an extremely powerful and argumentative poem.
The village of Auburn has been ruined by depopulation and the peasants that have been forced out of
this small rural village have been left with no other choice but to flee to America in search of a better
and more comfortable life. This poem is also based on the arrival of wealthy landlords to England
with the intent to gain control of the poorer surrounding areas; it is clear from reading the poem that
Goldsmith was not in favour of the social changes that were in occurrence. The social changes that he
refers to are the Enclosure acts and indeed the early effects of the industrial revolution. Goldsmith
does not like the effects of enclosure on rural life, it is clear that he is passionate about old traditions
and does not like when they are altered and replaced by a way of life that is consumed by power and
wealth. Goldsmith strongly believes that all the wealthy people in the world are corrupt and this is
evident throughout this poem; he thinks the wealthier community are malevolent and that they do not
take the poorer people of England into

Race And Gender And Race
The idea of race and gender is an idea that has been socially constructed. Society has created roles for
race and gender, they are determined by what society thinks is appropriate for the gender or race.
Some people argue that certain behavior roles are based on gender where as others may believe that it
is based on race. I will first discuss how in today s society we promote to stop racism yet it is still
happening everyday, and people are just blind to see it. Creating a role for race is racism, some people
do not understand that. I will then talk about gender, how it is socially constructed, and labeling roles
for men and women. I will also discuss how race and gender intersect in the formation of identities.
How gender and race is socially constructed, us people have the power to change it but we use our
power to look past it and pretend like it does not exist. Majority of society has been blinded to the fact
gender and racial roles do not exist, society has created it and now we think it is the norm.
Race is a concept that differentiates people based on human bodies. There is no biological basis for
racial classification. Classifying people based on the colour of their skin is being racist. Many people
are aware of this, yet every day people are being judged based on the colour of their skin. We are
being racist without even noticing it. For instance, when driving on the road and there is a bad driver
ahead, we automatically assume the driver is Asian.. Asian s

A Comparison Of Bell Jar And Duncan In The Way
Life is like a game of Russian roulette, a lot of it involves luck. Nobody can t know what s going to
happen next, only hope that it s going to turn out well in the end. Although in the end, no matter what
anybody has been through, these things shape them, they make them who they are. There s a point in
life which arguably is the most important in turning them into the person they are, these are the
teenage years. Everything can be great until then, but life throws a curveball and now it seems like
everything has turned against them. Some people get through this, becoming a better person in the
end; others aren t so lucky. This was the case for both Esther in The Bell Jar and Duncan in The Way

As kids we re taught that we can get most anything we want with screaming, crying, and or telling. It s
a terrible lesson to teach kids, and sadly that s the way most are taught. Once the kids become
teenagers and approach adulthood they re hit with the realization that crying won t fix everything.
Duncan, like most others and sometimes myself, combat this via silence. Instead of talking out
Duncan would avoid the problems that he faced instead of dealing with them head on. Owen had
jokingly told Duncan, I m afraid I m gonna have to ask you to leave. [...] I m getting complaints. You
re having way too much fun. It s making everyone uncomfortable (Faxon). Now Duncan of course
doesn t understand that this a joke, but instead of questioning why he s being fired he goes simply
replies Okay and was about to leave. I typically feel like this and it s a bad thing to do because if I can
t resolve my problems how am I supposed to move past them, same with Duncan. The coming of age
experience teaches young adults many things ranging from life will throw you curveballs to
sometimes you won t be able to catch these curveballs. The point isn t to sulk in the past of all the bad
things that had happened to you, it s to move past them to make you a better person. Coming of age

Essay on Homosexuality Throughout History
Homosexuality can be tracked throughout history. In ancient Rome, philosophers, such as Socrates,
were having sexual relations with their students. They believed it was a part of becoming a man. The
Bible, one of the oldest books in literature, discusses homosexual practices among the citizens of
Sodom and Gomorrah. Some of the most influential people throughout history were discovered to be
homosexual: Susan B. Anthony, William Shakespeare, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Tennessee Williams.
Homosexuality is worldwide and has a global impact on society; it transcends borders, cultures, and
governments. The homosexual society even bears its own international flag, a rainbow which signifies
the bond between different people all over the world. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The research was conducted before the start of the Gay Rights movement which has contributed to
changes in data. In 1983, after the start of the Gay Rights movement, a study of 147 homosexuals was
taken where 35% of the tested said that their sexual orientation was hereditary (Cameron 2). The
inconsistency of data is predictable due to the change in thinking because of the Gay Rights
movement. The answers from volunteers became more about the political struggle than the need for
accurate scientific data. Although the elementary research did not prove that environmental situations
are an underlying factor in determining sexual orientation, it did open a path for future research.
Clearly, research over sexual orientation has been fueled by the desire for answers to complex
questions. Researchers have tried to determine any physical factors that may alter sexual preference.
Past research was inconclusive and unsupported mainly because of elementary equipment. As
technology has advanced, so has the research. Between 1983 and 1991, postmortem brains were taken
from three hospitals in Southern California. A certain region of the brain known as the AC (anterior
commissure) was evaluated and 34 homosexual men, 75 heterosexual men, and 84 heterosexual
women were studied (Allen 7199). The results showed that the homosexual males AC size was

can place them in the majority. What may seem different may actually be very common with another.
Being human in society one must adapt to social norms or be look at as an outcast. Although an
induvial may try to adapt to social norms they will always be targeted for not being born normal. In
the book The Stranger by Albert Camus and film The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser by Werner Herzog,

In The Stranger, the main character Meursault, is detached from the world around him because he
doesn t fit into society s beliefs. He lacks sympathetic emotions that normal people would show in
events. For example: He simply does not care that his mother is dead, or that Marie loves him. He
shows no grief at his mother s funeral, and worries more about the heat at the funeral. He s not aware
of his surroundings and, more importantly, he s not aware of his own motivations. Meursault is
passive, dispassionate, ignorant of himself, and unable to connect with or even acknowledge other
people. But all of these change throughout the ordeal that Meursault suffers. Meursault cannot
understand people but yet, he observes them carefully, he says, not one detail of their faces or clothes
escape him, but it is still hard for him to believe they really exist. In comparison the main character
Kaspar from The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser is unaware with his surroundings but gradually starts to
understand. Kaspar was released from the confines of his underground prison allowing him to see for
the first time the the world he was never given. Because of his past and being secluded from the
world, now entering this world society s attempt to tame him shows that man, not nature, is the
trouble. Kaspar Hauser had to be taught how to speak, how to act, and how to think to be integrated
into society. As he learns to speak, he learns to think. He wants to accept society but he cannot. Every
man is a wolf to me, he tells the professor, haltingly. His only struggle is to search for his own
meaning: Meursault and Kaspar both are searching for there their purpose until they are put in the
predicament where it s a life or death situation. Kaspar was passed between homes because most of
the families he stayed with grew aggravated with his behavior and he eventually died due to a

Psychological Factor That Affect Sports Performance
Arousal is a psychological factor that can affect sports performance and is defined as the level of
activation or readiness that an individual will experience when faced with a task (Malpeli 2010, pg.
369). Effective performance requires an athlete to achieve optimal arousal which can be recognised in
certain arousal theories (Malpeli 2010, pg. 369). The level of arousal that is considered to be optimal
varies among every individual (Abernethy 2013, pg. 304). High arousal can affect performance as it
often leads to more tense muscles, higher blood pressures, heart rates and respiration rates (Abernethy
2013, pg. 302). In comparison to high arousal, low arousal can lead to a lack of motivation, tiredness,
lethargic muscles and a drop in enthusiasm and concentration and therefore a decrease in performance
(Malpeli 2010, pg. 369). Personality is another psychological factor that can affect sports performance
and can be defined as the multiple characteristics in which an individual possesses to make them
unique (Abernethy 2013, pg. 298). People who are usually introverted like things more quiet and are
often good at concentrating whereas people who are extroverts are generally more excited and lack
concentration which can affect sports performance (Honeybourne 2003). It can be seen that people
with certain traits or characteristics will potentially perform better in particular sports (Abernethy
2013, pg. 299). Another psychological factor that can affect performance is

Images of the Future in Neurology
The study of neurology attempts to explain the most fascinating aspects unique to humanity and
theorizes an explanation for the causes of mental dysfunctions. Vilanyur S. Ramachandran, nicknamed
The Marco Polo of Neurology (UCSD), has discovered many interesting facts about the human brain,
and his studies with those who have mental disorders have transformed neuroscience. One of his
greatest research topics, mirror neurons, poses as an explanation of phenomena ranging from the
development of language and the transmission of culture to empathy, autism, and even the uniqueness
of the human species (Melnick). Through his studies of mirror neurons and their possible impact
specifically relating to autism spectrum disorder, more great discoveries and treatments may occur in
the future.
Born in 1951, Ramachandran developed an early interest in science. In the introduction of his novel
The Tell Tale Brain, he stated, Although my current interest is neurology, my love affair with science
dates back to my boyhood in Chennai, India. (Ramachandran 5). He developed a passion for multiple
sciences including chemistry, biology, botany, zoology; he also loved history and anthropology. His
mother also encouraged his interest in science; they were a well traveled family, so she brought him
zoological specimens from all around the world, and his father brought him a Carl Zeiss research

The Wind Image in the Eolian Harp and Ode to the West Wind
Romanticism is a literary and artistic movement which takes its inspiration from nature and creates a
new perception of the world. Seeking for the essence of the nature made Romantic poets more related
to the essence of the human being and its natural existence in the universe. These new conceptualized
ideas created innovation for literature and especially for poetry. (Norton)

In the Ode to the West Wind, there are three parts in the poem that describe the wind s impacts on the
earth, air and the sea. First of all, in the first section, wind represents both preserver and destroyer
qualities. It destroys the nature and kills it in the autumn. It carries the dead leaves to the graveyard.
However, while doing this, it also creates a new life because in the spring, the seeds which were
carried by the wind to the graveyard will regenerate again and they come to the life. In this poem wind

the other hand, in the Eolian Harp, the duty of the wind does not have vitally importance on the
nature. The sound of the harp gives the erotic voice to the listeners. Its function is making joy of
people and wind provides its happening. Therefore, it can be said that while in Ode to the West Wind
wind has a superior power on the nature, in the Eolian Harp, it creates more individual effect to the
nature. Also, in Ode to the West Wind when the West Wind blows, it seems to be singing a funeral
song about the dying year and the sky is covered with a dome of clouds looks like a sepulchre. In
other respects, harp s voice gives a celestial and paradisiacal sound in the Eolian Harp. It makes more

Child Rearing
As teenagers, you have friends to turn to when you have a question. Moving through life, you can rely
on books to help you navigate relationships or obtain answers to child rearing questions. Sadly, when
it comes to caring for aging parents, there seems to be a lack of resources for children faced with this
task. Many families are now struggling to raise kids and care for elderly parents at the same time and
we are here to help in this endeavor, as it is one we are struggling with personally.
Paperwork alone can take up hours every day. Paying the loved one s bills, ensuring the proper
documents and records has been submitted to the medical insurance company and finding rides to the
different appointments are only part of the challenge. Understanding the finances of the loved one,
how their care will affect your tax return and what type of care they are eligible for, whether it be
home health care, inpatient care or another type of care completely, must be determined. Determining
if they qualify for Medicaid in addition to Medicare and if they are eligible for other benefits are other
areas that must be addressed.
Navigating through the social security maze takes time, coordinating medical care for a loved one
often becomes a full time job and managing the home may fall to the wayside. How do you juggle a

Short Term Memory Analysis
One of the most important models that exists in education is how the brain learns and stores
information. Knowing this information allows teachers to plan successful lessons for students to learn.
Dr. David A. Sousa explains these two processes through a model with different visuals to represent
how the short term and long term memory store information. The brain learns through the senses, and
in order, most people learn best through sight, then hearing, then touching. Short term memory is what
we consider to be temporary, and it has a short span of time where it can adequately remember
information. The short term memory can also be interrupted in the case of a distraction in the
classroom. The two separate parts in short term memory are immediate ... Show more content on

The clipboard represents that we can either decide to keep the information, or easily extract it from the
clipboard and get rid of it. Then if we decide the information is important, it continues on to the
working memory. This is where we mess with the information we carry over from the immediate
memory in order to hopefully store it later. The information that makes it here is then further broken
down through two questions referring to if the information makes sense and if it has meaning. In order
for a person to store information in their long term memory, it must make sense and connect with
previous knowledge and/or have some sort of future use or connection to the learner. The working
memory is a work table because that is where we filter through, pull apart, and work with the
information we have gained to see what is worth keeping. We lastly go to the long term storage which
is represented with filing cabinets as to file it away. This information is information we see as useful
or makes an emotional connection. This is an important and useful model because it helps teachers to
understand the processes of memory in order to teach new information, and how to plan lessons

Write an Essay on Confidentiality and the Boundaries of a...
Boundaries not only reflect a need for physical space, but, our core values, self respect and our need
for safety and protection. They are invisible lines that differentiate people from each other. The
different forms or types of boundaries include physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, and relational.
The formation of boundaries in Counselling, or a helping interaction, is very important. Helping
interactions provide people with an opportunity to help deal with their difficulties, whatever they may
be. It is a chance to be listened to and understood. As such, the helping relationship is an intimate one.
It is built around trust and support and offers the helpee (client), a place free from judgment. Within a

Thus, boundaries allow the explorative process to continue. As the helpee may be not used to this kind
of framework and unaware of the importance of keeping the limits, it becomes helper s responsibility
to set up and manage the boundaries as well as to recognize the dilemmas that are inherent within
them.
The agreement on the boundaries concerning therapeutic relationship is beneficial for both the helpee
and helper. Boundaries preserve the therapeutic relationship by ensuring that a helper understands the
need to and can keep separate his personal and professional life. Counsellors, or helpers who are able
to maintain healthy boundaries do not carry the problems of their clients around with them during
leisure hours. They know how to say no, which allows them to keep a balance in their lives. A helper
that takes care of himself and knows where to draw the line is in a position to provide a higher
standard of service to his helpees, than a helper who blurs the boundaries between personal and
professional relationships and feels overwhelmed as a result. Moreover, by making the distinction
between a therapeutic relationship and social relationships, a helper is able to retain a level of
objectivity that a friend would struggle with if you went to him with a problem. Your friend may have
a stake in the outcome of your problems that a helper

Doubt And Uncertainty In Macbeth
In this essay, I will be comparing the running theme of doubt and uncertainty between Macbeth and
other poems which we have studied. There are three main characters that I will be focusing on. Firstly,
Macbeth is the protagonist in the play Macbeth written by Shakespeare. Macbeth was originally a
soldier in the beginning battle when the Norwegians attempt to invade Scotland, which shows him as
patriotic and loyal to his country and king. He was also the Thane of Glamis, of Scotland, meaning
that he was trusted to look after land. He is married to his wife, Lady Macbeth, who also plays a large
role in the play.
Secondly, Ulysses is the character which the poem Ulysses written by Tennyson was based on, as it is
a dramatic monologue ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As it is a long monologue, based on Ulysses decision to leave his responsibilities in Ithaca, it includes
many doubts and uncertainties. Since he has to deal with his desire to travel, the main doubt shown is
whether to stay at home with his kingdom and family, or shall he leave again. Continuing on from this,
Ulysses may doubt whether returning home after his first journey was the right thing for him to do.
This can be shown as he devotes the beginning 26 lines to detailing his dissatisfaction and discontent
of spending his last years doing nothing. A quote to support this is I cannot rest from travel line 6
which implies his boredom and that he wants to get the most out of life; meaning travelling. Ulysses is
also uncertain about his relationship with his son, Telemachus. Even though he respects him and
wishes him to be king; to whom I leave the sceptre and the isle , Ulysses doesn t believe that he has a
bond with his son. Perhaps this is because of the first 20 years of his son s life he has missed, due to
the Trojan War; or it could just be that Ulysses has spent the majority of his time moping, rather than
spending time with him. This can be shown in the quote He works his, I mine which immediately
splits the

The Physics Of Physical Therapy
The Physics in Physical Therapy Physical therapy has grown increasing more useful as the years
progress and more is learned about the human body and its movements, interactions, and mechanisms.
Someone may go to physical therapy for injury, recovery, in order to maintain function, or even due to
a stroke and is trying to work on walking again. Patients of a physical therapist can include, but is not
limited to, elderly, children, accident victims, athletes, those with conditions such as arthritis or
fractures, etc. The possibilities are endless for potential physical therapy patients (Mayo Clinic School
of Health Sciences). Physical therapy is the scientific physical procedures used in the treatment of
patients with a disability, disease, or injury to achieve and maintain function and to prevent
malfunction or deformity. One of the most important tasks that physical therapists perform is the
various forms of therapeutic exercise that are used to increase strength and endurance to improve
coordination and functional movement for activities of daily living and to increase and maintain range
of motion (APTA History). Some of the first known practices of physical therapy are from the early
Greek and Romans. They had writings that said both the sun and water were beneficial. The Chinese,
Persians, Egyptians, and Greeks said exercise and massage were beneficial. The first school of therapy
was established at Walter Reed Army Hospital, Washington, D.C. after World War I

Essay On Summer Vacation
Summer of 2017 was probably my best summer so far. I went to my dream place and somewhere else
I have heard so much about! Before this vacation, I was so excited and I thought this place was going
to be all movie stars and celebrities, but I was wrong. Over the summer I went to Los Angeles,
California and Las Vegas Nevada. Now, I am not telling you about two different trips, this was all in
one trip. On August fifth, 2017 we drove two hours to Indianapolis and got on a plane to go to
California. The flight was about four hours, three hours and fifty eight minutes to be exact. We had
first class. My dad and sister sat next to each other and my mom and I sat next to each other. Once we
landed at the airport in Los Angeles, we had to get our suitcases and our rental car. Getting our
suitcases took about forty five minutes and getting the car rental took about an hour and a half. Once
we got to our hotel, it was ten o clock p.m. their time, Twelve o clock a.m. our time. We were all
hungry because even though we had food on the plane, most of us didn t eat it. So we ordered pizza
and went to bed. The next day, we went to the Walk of Fame and saw all the movie stars names on the
stars. We also went on some tours, such as TM Z. TM Z was probably my favorite thing we did there,
it was so much fun! We also went to the Chinese Theater museum and went to go see the Hollywood
sign, from afar. We also went to this very nice restaurant, my dad enjoyed a lot. The next few days, we

Information Technology Pros And Cons
Introduction
Today is the world of computers, smart phones, and immediate satisfaction. One can easily pick up his
or her smart phone and Google something for a quick, easy answer. The Google world, according to
Aspray (2011), has actually caused a shift in how people research and find necessary data (p.234).
One does not have to go to the library or a print encyclopedia anymore because a whole world of
information can be at one s fingertips through the use of phones, tablets, laptops, etc.
When it comes to finding information, there are both pros and cons to some of the newer technology.
First of all, one improvement would be that information is much more accessible to the common
person. However, the problem comes when there is so much information available that almost anyone
can contribute the massive information bank so that fake news and information that is not completely
accurate, and sometimes simply wrong, can become what people are using for every day information
and research.
Although modern technology has allowed for a lot of bad information to spread, it has also allowed
for easier access to accurate information and the professional sources. Many tools have been created
for finding good sources. Library discovery tools are one type of tool that have made searching for
professional sources yet more efficient.
What are Library Discovery Tools?
Discovery tools, according to Aharony (2015), provide one box searching for all library content with a

Pros And Cons Of The Executive Branch
...Power over any one thing, if not limited by some obvious and precise affinity, may amount to a
Power over every other. James madison. James Madison s ideas about the American Constitution
(considering he wrote the first draft) clearly reflects his opinion about how one branch should not have
more power than another, and if one happens to be able to exploit a specific power, or given to much
power; it will have power over everything. This is crucial to the inner workings of America s
government because without Branches constantly checking each other, America is just a good as a
Monarchy.
The executive branch has the ability to check the other branches as well as it being constantly checked
on. The president, a major part of the executive branch, has the power to pardon, or essentially forgive
someone, for an offense. Around the time when Richard M. Nixon was president (in office from 1969
1974) was indicted of attempting to cover up a burglary in the Watergate Complex. He quickly
resigned. He was sentenced and President Gerald Ford pardoned former president Richard M. Nixon.
Gerald Ford regrets My mistakes . The Executive branch also has the ability to appoint officials
working under the legislative branch. A recent example of this would be when Aaron, Henry Jacob
was nominated into the SSAB (Social ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

unconstitutional. An example of this is when In 1816 congress chartered and imposed taxes upon The
Second Bank of the United States. James W. McCulloch refused to pay the taxes and took congress to
court, the Supreme Court quickly rules the taxes

Absolute Pneumonia Essay
Jane Peterson has a principle diagnosis of acute pneumonia. Pneumonia is characterised as an
inflammatory infection of the lung tissue, specifically affecting the alveoli ( Pneumonia , 2017). The
infection may affect one or both the lungs and can be caused by a virus, bacteria and even fungi in
people with compromised immune systems ( Pneumonia , 2017). Additionally, exposure to a sufficient
portion of organisms, other risk factors also contribute to the development of pneumonia, such as
cigarette smoke, malnutrition, abnormal anatomical structure and difficulty swallowing (Gale
Encyclopedia of Children s Health, 2015).
The lungs are comprised of thousands of tubes called bronchi, which lead to small air sacs called
alveoli, which are responsible for exchanging oxygen to the blood and unloading carbon dioxide from
the red blood cells ( Pneumonia , ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The onset of pneumonia causes more mucus production, which will induce more coughing to help
clear out the airways ( Pneumonia , n.d.). However, mucus plugs reduces the efficiency of the gas
exchange in the alveoli ( Pneumonia , n.d.). The replication of bacteria in the alveoli induces the
production of cytokines and capillary leakage with the accumulation of plasma and white blood cells.
This further propels this cycle, where the release of cytokine is continued and more inflammatory cells
are drawn to the alveoli (Musher, 2016). In other words, the debris from the sheer number of white
blood cells produced to fight the infection , causes the alveoli to be further filled with fluid (
Pneumonia , n.d.). Further, the cytokine damages the fragile alveoli and causes swelling due to fluid
retention (oedema), which becomes a perfect breading ground for the organisms ( Case study ,

Forms Of The Insanity Defense
The insanity defense has been established and turned into a challenging but in many ways an
understandable and effective defense system in a criminal justice process. Within the legal system,
there has to be two general requirements for criminal sanction against an individual Mens rea and
actus reus. Therefore, guilty mind or guilty act must be present to present that an individual committed
the crime. The insanity defense originates from the knowledge that certain medical illness with the
individual s capability to form the Mens Rea as required by law. Throughout the following essay we
will be discussing a little in depth about the different forms of Insanity defense.
Forms of Insanity Defense
The insanity defense has been a controversial subject for years, as it touches some sensitive topics
pertaining to mental illness. In many cases the insanity defense is presented as a defense mechanism
and many times an excuse. The defense will argue that the defendant is not responsible for their
actions due to an irregular act at the time of the crime. Even when the prosecution has met this burden
of proof, the insanity defense serves as an affirmative defense for the defendant, (Grachek, 2006).
Currently there are four forms of the insanity defense which presently exist:M Naghten, irresistible
impulse, substantial capacity, and Durham. M Naghten insanity defense also called the right wrong
test, for the reason that it is cognitive and focuses on the offender s

Monomyth In The Lion King
Rebecca and Phillip Stein (2017) discuss monomyth, a hero s journey, in their book Anthropology of
Religion, Magic, and Witchcraft. In the text, they use the definition of a monomyth given by Joseph
Campbell. Campbell defines it as when A hero ventures forth from the world of common day into a
region of supernatural wonder: fabulous forces are there encountered and a decisive victory is won:
the hero comes back from this mysterious adventure with the power to bestow boons on his fellow
man. (Stein Stein, 2017.) According to the text, a hero s journey has three stages: the departure, the
initiation, and the return. (Stein and Stein, 2017.) The Disney movie, The Lion King, is a monomyth
movie about a young lion who abandons his role as king of the Pride lands and must come back to
save his family and his land when danger ensues. Simba is the son of Mufasa, the current king,
therefore he is the rightful heir to the throne. This is the common day world that Simba lives in. His
uncle, Scar, is filled with hatred towards both Simba and Mufasa, because he believes he deserves to
be king. He comes up with an elaborate plan to kill them both. He tricks Simba into thinking that his
father has a surprise for him, and he instructs Simba to wait inside of a canyon while he fetches his
Mufasa. Scar deliberately starts a stampede of wildebeests to try and kill Simba. Mufasa arrives to the
canyon to witness Simba clinging for his life, on a lone shrub s branch, as thousands of

  • 4. The Right To Freedom Of Freedom The freedom of assembly and demonstration is pivotal to a democratic society due to the fact that peaceful protest allows citizens to participate in democracy by being active in governmental affairs through voicing their grievances and opinions in a peaceful manner. The right to freedom of assembly guarantees the possibility of peaceful protest without government interference and allows those protesting safety and security and also allows those protesting to make use of their right to freedom of expression. The act of peaceful protest allows citizens to make their voices heard when they usually would not be, for citizens to raise and draw attention to issues that concern them and to circumvent traditional legal processes whilst putting pressure on the government so as to not allow them to infringe upon their rights. This right allows those who are vulnerable and powerless to express their concerns in the only way available to them in a way that was disallowed during the Apartheid era and is therefore pivotal in the exercise of all other rights afforded to the citizens of South Africa in the Constitution. The right to freedom of assembly only applies when this assembly is peaceful, without weapons, destruction of property and violence and therefore internally regulates itself by limiting its own scope. The act states that no participants of a gathering may have any dangerous weapon in their possession; a dangerous weapon is defined as any object that is not a firearm but ... • 5. Relationship Between People And Environment What is the relationship between people and the environment? Wesley Jean Florida Gulf Coast University Undergraduate Studies Fall 2017 IDS 3920 CRN 80335 To emulate the relationship between people and the environment, I find it best to consider Newton s third law of motion which states; For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Meaning that for every change made in nature, there will be an inevitable change in mankind a theory that can easily be proven justifiable. There are a myriad of examples that proves a linear relationship between people and the environment some for the good and unfortunately some for the worse. However, in an effort to illustrate and thoroughly explain the dynamic relationship between people and the environment, I will provide research on what I view as the three most distinguished areas where the nature of our relationship can not be ignored. These topics include our effects on other species, climate, and collectively vegetation and landscape. To begin, over the course of history human activities have drastically changed or destroyed the natural habitats that are essential to the survival of plants and animals. We have been known to pollute habitats, hunt and kill animals illegally, and our trivial need to fulfill our aches for luxurious lifestyle often has the side effect and disrespecting home and resources of other species that we share the plant Earth with. Our human population is multiplying at an alarming rate ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

On the day they were going to kill him [1], is the opening to Chronicle of a Death Foretold, by Gabriel Marquez, is a novella written in the form of a pseudo journalistic reconstruction;, in which the reader is told about the murder death from the first line. Here comes the importance of the theme of responsibility; we, along with the narrator, work backwards to unravel the reasons and the mysteries behind the murder. However, we must differentiate between two opposite aspects of this theme; responsibility and action. Some characters were prominently conventionally responsible for the death of Santiago, through their actions. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, they both determined, not to mention it to the latter. It could be perceived that she, as a young woman, just stepping into the world of adolescence, was not yet able define her feelings towards Santiago. The narrator comments that, (Divina) didn t warn him because she was nothing but a frightened child at the time, incapable of a decision of her own. She was unclear about her feelings towards him and permitted her mother to decide for her. However, Divina s main contribution to the theme of responsibility arises at the end of the novella. She led Plácida Linero, into locking the door, deeming believing that she had seen Santiago had gone up to his room. Yet, in fact the latter, was assaulted by the Vicario twins, in front of his house and the narrator comments that, (he) only lacked a few seconds to get in when the door closed. (Marquez, P.119) Despite, the fact that her illusion sounds implausible, Divina confirms that she had seen him come inside the house, It was a very clear vision (Marquez, P.118). We, as the readers are left with no option but to believe her. Two other characters; LeonardoLeandro Pornoy and Colonel Aponte can be both held responsible for the murder, they had equivalent chances to save Santiago s life. • 7. The Mmr Vaccine Did Cause Autism Although many people do not vaccinate for religious reasons, that does not mean they will be protected by their close communities and close relationships and religion. Many outbreaks are centraled in geographic areas and tight knit communities that have many people that share the same values and beliefs. For example, in Texas, a megachurch voiced vaccination concerns and all believed that it was not safe to vaccinate (Silverman, 2013). They were convinced that the MMR vaccine did cause autism. There were many families that were part of the church that had a history of autism in their family, and did not want to chance it. So instead of asking for a different schedule of vaccines and not bundling the MMR, the families and others opted out of the MMR vaccine entirely (Silverman, 2013). A visitor came to the church, after being in Indonesia, and, unknowingly, was carrying measles. When people that had not been vaccinated were exposed, their bodies could not fight it off and a breakout of measles overtook the church (Silverman, 2013). After that incident, the church began holding seminars and conferences that explained the importance of vaccines and why vaccines are safe, for their members. (Silverman, 2013) There are many personal reasons as to be exempt from vaccinating. From religious, to your own concerns or reasoning, and many people are now wanting more strict rules on exemptions of vaccines. • 8. How Did St Augustine Religion Influence Teens When you think about Augustine s confession, you think about the new generation. In other words, the conversion that happened over a thousand years ago can be closely related to teenagers of the 21st century. Before Christianity was developed, a lot of people, especially the Roman emperors could not accept it. They condemned and harassed the Christians who would claim their faith. When Christianity was finally accepted, there were still people who contradict with the Christian faith. Teenagers today find it difficult to come to God, they do not take a straight path. This is similar to what St Augustine did, teenagers of today try to find meaning in life by being experimental with different religions or cults. Augustine experimented with the Manicheans, a Persian dualist cult that believed in two competing gods. The only difference between teenagers of today and Augustine is that teenagers of today do not go to extreme as St Augustine did rather, they experiment with some of the main religions. Introduced in the theme of loss, hell connotes negative feelings such as pain, anxiety, and fear, but also love. Love can be destructive and obsessive passion as seen in the following four examples. In lyrics of With You Came the Whole of the World s Tears , 10 Silver Bullets , Silhouettes , and Abandoned by the Light portray love as a feeling that causes despair, whereas in the lyrics of Empires of Loneliness we see the last moments of a man in deep despair, however the reason behind his despair is kept hidden. The first example of despair comes from With You Came the Whole of the World s Tears . The lyrics are written from the first person viewpoint and portray the agony and despair of the narrator who has fallen in love but for some reason is separated from his lover. In the beginning, the narrator is begging Saint Peter to save him by sending him to hell. He is convinced that that is where he will find her . The woman is described as red haired ... They are just the worms of the earth . 10 Silver Bullets seems to continue the story seen in With You Came the Whole of the World s Tears . • 10. Bilingualism And Bilingualism According to a 2006 European Commission survey, 56% of respondents said they could speak a language other than their mother tongue. In many countries, the proportion of bilinguals is much higher. For example, 99% of Luxembourg and 95% of Latvian populations speak more than one language. Even in the United States, where English is pre dominantly used as a single language, a large number of people using non English languages at home have increased by 140% since 1980. Thus, bilingualism is an extensive cultural, linguistic, and cognitive phenomenon that is extensively carried out in modern society. Bilingualism bridges the understanding of the world around us, communicating with others, promoting the sharing of cultural phenomena. Many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In many studies, bilingual learners brain can have better attentiveness and the ability to switch tasks than a mono lingual learner s brain because of their cognitive ability to control to suppress one language while using another language or switch from one language to another language simultaneously. Bilingualism also positively affects learners academic progress (Saer, D. J. 1923). Moreover, studies on bilingual language processing have shown that when bilingual speakers, listen to, read, or produce sentences, linguistic competency in both languages is activated, even when the speaker uses one language (Kroll, J. F., Bobb, S. C., Hoshino, N. (2014). This cross language activation can be detected in both beginners and highly skilled bilinguals and can be found at various levels of language processing system, such as lexicon, phonology, and grammar. In particular, cognitive research on bilingualism suggests that a bilingual speaker s second language, which is not used in word recognition and language production, is being suppressed and the language that tends to be self controlled is the native language of the speaker, not the second foreign language, implying that the native language is indeed compromised to accommodate the second language. The control system used to cognitively prohibit and switch languages is a control system commonly used for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. The Message In The Deserted Village By Oliver Goldsmith Oliver Goldsmith wrote the poem The Deserted Village in protest against the social changes that he witnessed during his travels around England. There are numerous quotes in the poem that encapsulate the message that Goldsmith is trying to put across. The fictional village of Auburn has now become a place where wealth accumulates, and men decay ; this is quite a disturbing image as it is now evident that Auburn is no longer the beautiful and rustic village that it was before the introduction of the Enclosure acts. The quote in question encapsulates the theme and is of extreme importance to ones understanding of the work; it sums up the message and the argument that Goldsmith is trying to put across. Goldsmith is completely condemning the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Goldsmith saw many incidents of rustic towns and beautiful countryside being completely destroyed for the benefit of the wealthier community (Rowley 132). These incidents that he was witness to inspired him to write The Deserted Village which is an extremely powerful and argumentative poem. The village of Auburn has been ruined by depopulation and the peasants that have been forced out of this small rural village have been left with no other choice but to flee to America in search of a better and more comfortable life. This poem is also based on the arrival of wealthy landlords to England with the intent to gain control of the poorer surrounding areas; it is clear from reading the poem that Goldsmith was not in favour of the social changes that were in occurrence. The social changes that he refers to are the Enclosure acts and indeed the early effects of the industrial revolution. Goldsmith does not like the effects of enclosure on rural life, it is clear that he is passionate about old traditions and does not like when they are altered and replaced by a way of life that is consumed by power and wealth. Goldsmith strongly believes that all the wealthy people in the world are corrupt and this is evident throughout this poem; he thinks the wealthier community are malevolent and that they do not take the poorer people of England into ... • 12. Race And Gender And Race The idea of race and gender is an idea that has been socially constructed. Society has created roles for race and gender, they are determined by what society thinks is appropriate for the gender or race. Some people argue that certain behavior roles are based on gender where as others may believe that it is based on race. I will first discuss how in today s society we promote to stop racism yet it is still happening everyday, and people are just blind to see it. Creating a role for race is racism, some people do not understand that. I will then talk about gender, how it is socially constructed, and labeling roles for men and women. I will also discuss how race and gender intersect in the formation of identities. How gender and race is socially constructed, us people have the power to change it but we use our power to look past it and pretend like it does not exist. Majority of society has been blinded to the fact gender and racial roles do not exist, society has created it and now we think it is the norm. Race is a concept that differentiates people based on human bodies. There is no biological basis for racial classification. Classifying people based on the colour of their skin is being racist. Many people are aware of this, yet every day people are being judged based on the colour of their skin. We are being racist without even noticing it. Some of the most influential people throughout history were discovered to be homosexual: Susan B. Anthony, William Shakespeare, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Tennessee Williams. The inconsistency of data is predictable due to the change in thinking because of the Gay Rights movement. The answers from volunteers became more about the political struggle than the need for accurate scientific data. Although the elementary research did not prove that environmental situations are an underlying factor in determining sexual orientation, it did open a path for future research. Clearly, research over sexual orientation has been fueled by the desire for answers to complex questions. Researchers have tried to determine any physical factors that may alter sexual preference. Past research was inconclusive and unsupported mainly because of elementary equipment. As technology has advanced, so has the research. Between 1983 and 1991, postmortem brains were taken from three hospitals in Southern California. He shows no grief at his mother s funeral, and worries more about the heat at the funeral. He s not aware of his surroundings and, more importantly, he s not aware of his own motivations. Meursault is passive, dispassionate, ignorant of himself, and unable to connect with or even acknowledge other people. But all of these change throughout the ordeal that Meursault suffers. • 17. Psychological Factor That Affect Sports Performance Arousal is a psychological factor that can affect sports performance and is defined as the level of activation or readiness that an individual will experience when faced with a task (Malpeli 2010, pg. 369). Effective performance requires an athlete to achieve optimal arousal which can be recognised in certain arousal theories (Malpeli 2010, pg. 369). The level of arousal that is considered to be optimal varies among every individual (Abernethy 2013, pg. 304). High arousal can affect performance as it often leads to more tense muscles, higher blood pressures, heart rates and respiration rates (Abernethy 2013, pg. 302). In comparison to high arousal, low arousal can lead to a lack of motivation, tiredness, lethargic muscles and a drop in enthusiasm and concentration and therefore a decrease in performance (Malpeli 2010, pg. 369). Personality is another psychological factor that can affect sports performance and can be defined as the multiple characteristics in which an individual possesses to make them unique (Abernethy 2013, pg. 298). People who are usually introverted like things more quiet and are often good at concentrating whereas people who are extroverts are generally more excited and lack concentration which can affect sports performance (Honeybourne 2003). In the Ode to the West Wind, there are three parts in the poem that describe the wind s impacts on the earth, air and the sea. First of all, in the first section, wind represents both preserver and destroyer qualities. It destroys the nature and kills it in the autumn. It carries the dead leaves to the graveyard. However, while doing this, it also creates a new life because in the spring, the seeds which were carried by the wind to the graveyard will regenerate again and they come to the life. In this poem wind has a function like a creator. It can make not only the catastrophic things but also being a life giver. On the other hand, in the Eolian Harp, the duty of the wind does not have vitally importance on the nature. The sound of the harp gives the erotic voice to the listeners. Its function is making joy of people and wind provides its happening. Therefore, it can be said that while in Ode to the West Wind wind has a superior power on the nature, in the Eolian Harp, it creates more individual effect to the nature. Also, in Ode to the West Wind when the West Wind blows, it seems to be singing a funeral song about the dying year and the sky is covered with a dome of clouds looks like a sepulchre. Knowing this information allows teachers to plan successful lessons for students to learn. Dr. David A. The brain learns through the senses, and in order, most people learn best through sight, then hearing, then touching. The information that makes it here is then further broken down through two questions referring to if the information makes sense and if it has meaning. In order for a person to store information in their long term memory, it must make sense and connect with previous knowledge and/or have some sort of future use or connection to the learner. The working memory is a work table because that is where we filter through, pull apart, and work with the information we have gained to see what is worth keeping. We lastly go to the long term storage which is represented with filing cabinets as to file it away. This information is information we see as useful or makes an emotional connection. He was also the Thane of Glamis, of Scotland, meaning that he was trusted to look after land. He is married to his wife, Lady Macbeth, who also plays a large role in the play. Since he has to deal with his desire to travel, the main doubt shown is whether to stay at home with his kingdom and family, or shall he leave again. Continuing on from this, Ulysses may doubt whether returning home after his first journey was the right thing for him to do. This can be shown as he devotes the beginning 26 lines to detailing his dissatisfaction and discontent of spending his last years doing nothing. A quote to support this is I cannot rest from travel line 6 which implies his boredom and that he wants to get the most out of life; meaning travelling. Ulysses is also uncertain about his relationship with his son, Telemachus. Even though he respects him and wishes him to be king; to whom I leave the sceptre and the isle , Ulysses doesn t believe that he has a bond with his son. Perhaps this is because of the first 20 years of his son s life he has missed, due to the Trojan War; or it could just be that Ulysses has spent the majority of his time moping, rather than spending time with him. Campbell defines it as when A hero ventures forth from the world of common day into a region of supernatural wonder: fabulous forces are there encountered and a decisive victory is won: the hero comes back from this mysterious adventure with the power to bestow boons on his fellow man. (Stein Stein, 2017.) According to the text, a hero s journey has three stages: the departure, the initiation, and the return. (Stein and Stein, 2017.) The Disney movie, The Lion King, is a monomyth movie about a young lion who abandons his role as king of the Pride lands and must come back to save his family and his land when danger ensues.
