Glanbia s Internal and External Environment
The Organisational Domain and The External Environment
An organisation s domain is its chosen environmental field of action. It is the territory that the
organisation stakes out for itself with regard to products, services and markets served. This is also
strongly affected by the organisation s external environment. The external environment incorporates
all the elements that exist outside the boundary of the organisation and have the potential to affect all
or part of the organisation.
Task Environment:
The task environment includes external sectors with which the organisation interacts with directly and
that have a direct impact on the organisation s capability to accomplish its objectives. Some of these
sectors include:

Glanbia are mostly affected, however, by taxation, laws and regulations. Their corporate taxation
planning and compliance is managed centrally in order to ensure that it is carried out correctly and
efficiently. Group operations in processing, distribution, packaging and labelling of food are governed
by extensive legislation, regulation, codes of practice and guidance. The Group conforms fully to
international and local food safety, quality and environmental regulations and employs best practice
across all of its production facilities to maintain the highest of standards.
Sociocultural Sector:
This sector includes age, values, beliefs, education, religion, work ethic, consumer and green
movements. In relation to Glanbia, however, the most relevant aspect of this sector is the environment
and green movements. The Group is subject to strict and developing environmental laws and
regulations which could result in an increase in the cost of achieving compliance that might impact the
Group s operational or financial performance. However, the inclusion of environmental and
sustainability objectives and risk management as part of the Group s overall business strategy, together
with a commitment to continuous improvement ensures that Glanbia is ahead of evolving
environmental standards. Energy efficiency programmes are also operated

The Mortgage And Financial Collapse Of The United States...
The mortgage and financial collapse of the United States economy had a very devastating impact on
thousands upon thousands of Americans. I count myself as one who also had been affected as well. I
was a bank manager with more than twenty years of banking experience and had decided during the
spring of 1998 to move into a more lucrative career in the mortgage and real estate business. Having
started my banking career as a teller, I had built great relationships with my employers and customers
and was proud of what I had accomplished. However, upon hearing the news of yet another bank
merger, I decided that I would train as a mortgage processor with one of the best mortgage providers
in New Jersey. Advancements came very quickly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I am not against creative financing to help individuals obtain the homes of their dreams. I was just not
happy about the way that sub prime mortgages were presented to customers who did not fully
understand what their particular mortgage note detailed. Therefore, the lessons that we have learned is
that a buyer needs to be fully informed on how the process actually works. I recall one former client
who was wiser than most, and she had decided that despite what the bank told her what she could
afford ($140K) , she searched for a home priced ($100K) so she could afford it on her own. Years
later, she told me about her husband s infidelity and sure enough he left their home within 14 months
and she was stuck with the payments. Nevertheless, she made her payments and even though she was
late several times, her resilience and determination paid off. She sold her house to a contractor for
more than doubled its worth because of the two lots that the house was on. She had a success story.
That is why it is very important to know what you are getting yourself into. I felt very sad when I
would witness the lack of understanding of newly arrived immigrants who could barely understand the
English language but there they were, trying to secure a mortgage loan. Full knowledge goes a long
way and that is one of the reasons that I would refer clients to take a class on mortgage lending with
one of the local realty agencies. Many of those

Business Analysis of Little Falls Hospital
Background In its most basic sense, risk management identifies, allows assessment, and prioritizes
risks that are associated and central to an individual project or organization. Risk management allows
the organization to be proactive in preventing or mitigating risks, for improving certain processes
within the organization, and with the hope of preventing fiscal exposure. However, in almost every
organization there are risks individuals are unique and do not always perform at a high level of safety;
mechanical or design failures exist, construction projects have supply or labor issues, there are
uncertainties in computer or data modification, of course natural disasters, and even deliberate attacks
from competitors, etc. Because this is such a common occurrence, national and even international
standards have been developed in conjunction with the insurance and regulatory institutions to at least
provide basic guidelines to minimize risks risk (International Organization for Standardization, 2009).
Little Falls Hospital is due for accreditation. In general, the process went well except for standards
related to the 2010 National Patient Safety Goals. The regulatory body indicated that Little Falls has
not devoted adequate human and organizational resources to these particular goals. For example: 1)
there is no specific plan to address 2010 National Goals; 2) Recent plaintiff settlement by insurance
carrier concerns; 3) Escalating costs of liability insurance with a policy

The Pathology Of A Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Essay
Seth Kahn s (2011), article entitled, Putting Ethnographic Writing in Context, identifies ethnography
as the study of relationships, rituals, values, and habits that make people understand themselves as
members of a group. Ethnographers adopt a stance of observation, as well as participation to better
understand the discourse among members within a particular group, or discourse community (Khan,
2011). This ethnographic research will connect what community members know and do, with what
they say and how they say it (Devitt, Bawarshi, Reiff, 2003). The purpose of this study is to explore
how nurses, working in a cardiac catheterization laboratory, learn the local knowledge necessary to
communicate with a multidisciplinary discourse community successfully. To protect the identity of
participants in this study, the name of the laboratory included in the study will be identified as the
XYZ Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Cardiovascular diseases have long been the leading cause of
death in the United States (Narang et al., 2016). Research predicts the progression of cardiovascular
disease will affect forty percent of our population by the year, 2030 (Narang et al., 2016).
Furthermore, research shows that the cardiovascular workforce is inadequate to meet the rising
demands of this patient population (Narang et al., 2016). In particular, a subset of cardiac nurses, a
cardiac catheterization laboratory nurse is a key member of this cardiovascular workforce.

Summary Of The Movie Rambo
Devin Minix
September 25, 2017
Assignment #1
Rambo: First Blood The 1980s in America was a time when the country was struggling with tough
issues and the aftermath of the Vietnam war. The overall view was that America could no longer
involve itself anymore conflicts and general confrontations across the globe. With this in mind as we
look back at the 1960s, we see a completely different world. We see an America that is knee deep in
the battle of a lifetime, fighting an enemy of unknown power and strength with many unwilling men
and women at war. We see this most evident in the movie Rambo: First Blood , where we are
presented with Rambo, a Vietnam war veteran who returns to finds his friends after the war and
instead enters another war but this time with the American government. Throughout this movie,
Rambo can be viewed as a representation of American values during the 1960s with a combination of
standing for the young men and women who fought in Vietnam and their struggle coming back to war
as well as standing for old American values pre Vietnam, where the United States viewed itself as a
positive force for good that had to get in struggles for freedom. We see the idea of him being another
vet is easily understandable when you see the film. Rambo comes back to America looking for his lost
friends from the Vietnam war and wonders around the town. He is met immediately with a harsh
response by many people including the government. When you look back at the 1960s, we see a rise
in anti establishment views and a hatred for the American government. We see a clear demonstration
of these political views in the movie, when Rambo is defiant to the police chief who tells him to leave
town so he will not disturb their carefully constructed peace. Rambo through the film is defiant
because he blames the army and through blaming the army ultimately blames America for neglecting
their troops and seeing him as a relic of the past. All throughout the movie, rather than reason with
Rambo and talk through their problems, they choose the more violent routes that only lead to more
turmoil and ultimately pain for the people who fight against Rambo. Between the PTSD flashbacks
that Rambo experiences and the corrupt government

Essay On Crowd Funding
Crowd funding is an alternative method available to entrepreneurs aiming to gain money to finance
their business enterprises. Kickstarter is a popular website that helps aspiring inventors and artists find
investors to fund various projects. It is often difficult to find a single investor to help finance a project,
and crowd funding can help alleviate the need for a single investor. Crowd funding allows many
financial backers to offer relatively small amounts of money to aid the development of new products
and ideas. In an effort to ensure success, potential entrepreneurs must fully understand the functions of
Kickstarter, capitalize on the advantages of crowd funding, and provide adequate information to gain
the desired level of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The table below further illustrates the funding levels available and pledged to produce this
documentary. There are several reasons crowdfunding is advantageous to business professionals. In
today s economy, it can be difficult for entrepreneurs to find funding in the traditional manner of
applying for a loan with a business plan and getting approved. In 2012, the total number of loans and
money distributed in the U.S. via the Small Business Administration has dropped as much as 20%
(Prive, 2012). An extremely high percentage of business plans received are rejected. Crowdfunding
offers an alternative that helps businesses ventures obtain funding. Crowdfunding reduces risk, can
assist in product improvement, identifies customers, and provide free publicity. One of the most
appealing benefits of crowdfunding is that it, for the most part, comes with little to no cost.
Crowdfunding allows entrepreneurs to gain funding for products without the need to give up equity
before turning a product concept into a product available in the marketplace. It is not uncommon for
new business owners to fail to account for every possible pitfall in the early stages of operating a
small business. By having a crowdfunding campaign, the entrepreneur has the ability to engage the
crowd and receive comments, feedback, and ideas (Prive, 2012). People who contribute pledges to the
campaign are future customers for the business. These donations come from

Trophios Logos
Sending him home empty handed at the end of a hard fought season won t help him learn the lesson of
losing, it will teach him early that there s no value in the attempt (Zadrozny). Prizes such as trophies
and ribbons are a controversial topic in society. Some believe that not enough are handed out to
children while others believe that too many are handed out. Trophies are a symbol of victory and
triumph, but do not forget that children just want to feel part of a team even though they are not good
enough. Putting forth an honest effort is important, and doing well is the habit on which they will be
repeatedly evaluated in life. Even though some believe trophies are not good, they give a boost of

tough for a child at a young age, especially when the losses are simultaneous piling up. A trophy

there for your teammates and those in your life, when it suits you or when Saturday morning cartoons
look like a lot more fun, is a lifelong lesson that cannot be taught to young ( Heffernan ). 57% of
American children claim that they deserve a trophy after they participate in a team sport, after all, it is

Price Elasticity of Demand and Supply
Q. Discuss how a supplier of a product that is currently fashionable might use both of these concepts
in making price and output decisions.
Price Elasticity of Demand
The price elasticity of demand measures the sensitivity of the quantity demanded to price. The price
elasticity of demand is the percentage change in quantity demanded brought by a 1 percent change in
price. The value of price elasticity of demand for a normal good must always be negative, reflecting
the fact that demand curves slope downward because of the inverse relationship of price and quantity.
The price elasticity of demand can be an extremely useful piece of information for business firms,
nonprofit institutions, and other organizations that are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The price elasticity of supply tells us the percentage change in quantity supplied for each percent
change in price. The value of price elasticity of supply for a normal good must always be positive,
reflecting the fact that supply curves slope upward because of the positive relationship of price and
quantity.
Similarly as price elasticity of demand, price elasticity of supply can be also an extremely useful piece
of information for business firms in deciding how much to produce their products. To see why a
business might care about the price elasticity of supply, let s consider how an increase in price might
affect a business s total revenue. Since price and quantity have a positive relationship in price
elasticity of supply, a higher price will generally mean producing at a higher quantity, so the total
revenue will increase. Economists have classified the possible range of values for price elasticity of
supply as Inelastic Supply, Unitary Elastic Supply, and Elastic Supply . In the process of helping a
supplier of a product that is currently fashionable to decide output decision, we must first identify the
classification that the product is in right now as being fashionable . As mentioned earlier, the price
elasticity of supply is used to see how sensitive the supply of a good is to a price change. The higher
the price elasticity, the more sensitive producers and sellers are to price changes. A very high price
elasticity suggests

What Are The Causes Of The American Revolution
The American Revolution began in 1775 19th of April and it ended in 1783 on September 3rd. The
American Revolution began in the Lexington and Concord battle (April 1775). With tension building
up between the thirteen colonists and the British the Lexington and Concord battle started the
American Revolution. The shot at Lexington marked the first blood spilled in the war of American
independence. There were many key causes, including the taxes that the British were charging
America, the Boston Tea Party and the clash at Lexington and Concord.
I think that the most important cause of the American Revolution was the issue of taxes. When the
French and Indian war (also known as The Seven year war ) took place (1754 1763) King George III
lost ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Patriots would cover the tax collectors in hot, sticky tar and feathers. It would burn the tax
collector and they would be black for days. The Americans thought that taxing them was unfair as
they had helped the British win the war and they did not deserve to be taxed. The thirteen colonies had
to pay taxes on things such as dice, playing cards, sugar, tea, printed documents and much more. I
think that this is a key cause of the American Revolution because if you are not used to paying taxes
and all of a sudden you have to pay a lot of taxes it can lower your budget for daily things like
groceries and water. I also think that this is one of the main causes because after a seven year war the
British are making them pay for their own help. I think that this caused many people to feel frustrated,
angry, fooled, offended and as if they hadn t done anything for the British. The Americans understood
that they had to be taxed but they wanted a say in for what they had to be taxed and how much they
had to pay. The Patriots started to see King George III as a tyrant. They wanted him gone and have a
say in the Parliament. They came up with the slogan,

Business System Planning For Indian Railways For The...
Introduction:
Business system planning focuses on data and processes. It is generic in its application, meaning that
products, as well as CENTRAL FOR RAILWAY INFORMATION SYSTEM can benefit from its use.
Indian Railways uses BSP when they want a new way to view the organization and determine the
information needs in order to build CRIS. This process is very comprehensive, therefore it is often
time consuming and expensive. BSP defines the information architecture for IR.
Back ground:
An efficient planning document is essential for Indian Railways for the economic health of the
country. Indian Railways connects the different parts of the country together. Railways are the main
approach of communication for citizens. Indian railways adopted information system in early 1960s.
However, IR have been operating two types of information systems such as Online Reservation
system, which deals with providing customer service and accommodation to passengers, and Freight
Operating system deals with maintenance of the fuel, energy efficiency and human resource
development.
Mission statement of Indian Railways:
The information system implements a railway ticket issuing system for the IR. This solution allows
overcoming the extreme human intervention to the current ticketing process. This planning system
will be an automated system so that IR will be able to manage their ticketing transaction efficiently.
Mission of IR is focusing on three types of Planning
1. Strategic Planning
2. Tactical

Fly In The Fly
Bugs and insects are often used as literary devices in very different ways, yet they mostly have some
kind of connection to the protagonists lives, their emotions and their character traits. The insect s
outward appearance stands in sharp contrast to that of a human being in fiction, yet its character traits
or emotions are personified in order to be similar to those of the human protagonist. This contrast is
what makes stories like these so effective. This is, to a certain extent, also the case in The Fly by
Katherine Mansfield even though here the human protagonist, the boss, is the one actively projecting
his inner self onto the insect. In fact, it is possible to say that the fly is used as a reflector: it reflects
the boss s idealised ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is important to mention that the only way the boss is able to process his son s death is through
crying but one day he fails to cry, starting the inevitable road to his spiritual death (cf. Boyle 183).
More indications of the relation between the failure of the boss and that of the fly are found on page
164: Nothing happened or was likely to happen (Mansfield 164). This can be seen as a reference to the
tears the boss ceases to cry and is most likely not going to be able to cry ever again. The aspect of
failure also becomes obvious when looking at the way the fly is described throughout the last two
pages: It was ready for life again (Mansfield 163). This shows not only the fly s victory of surviving
the fall into the inkpot but also the new hope the boss finds in observing the fly and testing its limits.
This hope, however, dies when the fly dies. As mentioned before, the boss experiences his spiritual
death (Boyle 183) at the end of the story which is emphasised and illustrated by the death of the fly.
The story, therefore, doesn t seem to be mainly about the death of the fly really but about how the fly s
death stands for the boss s spiritual death. It is mainly caused by his inability to properly grieve for his
son anymore, which leads him to loose all kinds of human feelings. Boyle examines the aspect of the
spiritual death in greater detail and explains the connection between the blots of ink and the boss s
grief very well, saying the struggles of the fly with the blots of ink, in fact, parallel the struggles of the
boss with his grief for his son (184). According to Boyle, the love for the boss s son could be
substituted with the grief he feels after his son s death. (185) It is therefore logical to assume that the
moment he stopped grieving, he stopped loving to a

Hepatitis B Vaccine
Hepatitis B Vaccine
Hepatitis B is the most common liver infection in the world and is caused by the hepatitis b virus. The
hepatitis b virus enters the body and travels to the liver via the bloodstream. In the liver the virus
attacks the healthy liver cells and then multiplies. The cells create copies of them selves and the
multiplying of the virus cells then triggers a response from the bodies immune system. Most people at
this stage of the virus are unaware the have the virus as there are no symptoms that can be seen or felt.
Hepatitis B can lead to cirrhosis (scaring of the liver), liver cancer or liver failure if not treated quickly
enough. Some signs and symptoms of hepatitis include abdominal pain, dark urine, fever, joint pain,
loss ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A dead or watered down version of the disease is injected into your blood stream from a needle and
this will stimulate the bodies immune system to make antibodies that will be able to fight of the
disease. Antibodies will form and these will protect the body from the hepatitis disease if your body
comes into contact with the disease. Your body will remember how to make these antibodies so if you
do come in contact with Hepatitis B later on your body will already know how to fight it off. Other
ways to stop the spread of Hepatitis B include washing your hands thoroughly after any potential
exposure to the virus or its carrier ,avoiding direct contact with blood and other bodily fluids that are
infected with the virus, cleaning up blood spills with a fresh diluted bleach solution as soon as
possible, avoiding sharp objects like razors that have been used by someone else and not sterilized
properly, avoiding illegal drugs and always make sure that needles are sterilized before using them.
The science community is helping to keep the spread of Hepatitis B by developing the vaccines used
and the government is providing the community with a way to stop the spread of hepatitis by giving
theses vaccines to all high school aged children and babies when the have been born. The vaccines
that have been developed to stop hepatitis b are stopping lots of people from getting extremely sick or
ill. Hepatitis can not be spread by touching another person unless bodily fluids are exchanged so it is a
good idea to make sure that when touching another person you where gloves and keep all contact

Fighting computer addiction in kids
(The Philippine Star)
November 28, 2010
MANILA, Philippines The computer may have made life easier and tasks faster. But like all good
things, it can be abused and lead to addiction, especially in children.
They can be so obsessed with computers they no longer have room for ordinary routines in daily life.
Computer addicts run the gamut of video and online game players, viewers of Internet pornography,
people in chat rooms, those who always check their email, download music files, engage in illicit
affairs through the Net, online gamblers and others.
Computer addiction brings mood swings, withdrawal from family and friends, sleep deprivation, poor

Time for hobbies, rest, reflection, exercise, socialization, or for quiet and peace. In short we have
disturbed regular time management the way our predecessor in pre computer time made use of 24

tinkered with, the biological clock. What does this mean? We do not follow our regular sleeping habit,
because the computer demands no strict time limit or schedule. Imagine also that a favorite program
on TV is on the computer, especially DVD programs. Computer addicts may become night owls.
Others have developed cat napping which can compensate partly lost sleep. Not following regular
sleeping habits may lead to insomnia. Many drugs today are for insomniacs. Abuse of sleeping pills is
reminiscent of some prominent victims; among them was Marilyn Monroe who died of overdose. The
ever increasing features of the computer making today s state of the art in computer shades the 1960

intelligence like dealing with a university professor, and a genius at that. Already chess games with the

Napoleon Bonaparte on land, and Horatius Nelson at sea. The computer does not only trace the

Examples Of Mistakes In American History
Nobody is perfect, so everyone all makes mistakes. Human created history and even historical
failures. Some people believe that we usually repeat what we did wrongly before. It sounds similar to
the British author George Bernard Shaw s idea: We learn from history that we learn nothing from
history. However, in my opinion, that idea is completely not correct, because we must learn something
from the mistakes we made in the past, so that we would not do them one more time at the present or
in the future.
In my essay, I will use three examples from American history (from 1877 to the present) to disprove
George Bernard Shaw s statement. They are all the mistakes which the American made in the past
have not appeared until today.

Bush used to say a sentence which was very famous and seemed as his promise. That was Read my
lips: No new taxes . However, in June 1990 Bush abandoned his Read my lips. No new taxes
campaign pledge and acknowledged that new or increased taxes were necessary. Many Republican
conservatives were critical of this shift, and his popularity ratings fell immediately. (8) On March 4,
1992, he said: I thought this one compromise, and it was a compromise, would result in no more tax
increases. I thought it would result in total control of domestic discretionary spending. And now we
see Congress talking about raising taxes again. And some in Congress are talking about trying to break
down the spending caps. And so I m disappointed and given all of that, yes, a mistake. (9)
Let s talk about an example of kept promises. Barak Obama promised to Extend the Bush tax cuts for
lower incomes and he kept his word. He extended the Bush tax cuts for those making less than
$250000 (couples) or $200000(single). (10) He promised to Create an Advanced Manufacturing Fund
to invest in peer reviewed manufacturing processes, and once again he kept his word.
As a president, it would be terrible if that president broke his promise to the public. Once he says
something, he had better follow and do exactly the same as what he said. If not, his words will become
unreliable. Barak Obama was the 44th president of the United States, and it seemed that he learned a
mistake from the 41st president or we can say, from the

Summary Of The Night Circus, By Erin Morgenstern
The Night Circus written by Erin Morgenstern depicts the tale of two lovers bound by a challenge that
forces them to compete against each other. It was a romantic tale, from which the reader can develop a
strong sense of emotion with the two lovers. In this novel, Morgenstern uses the character Bailey to
demonstrate the ideas of love, passion vs obsession and standing up for yourself. Love is a very
influential idea in the story, without it Bailey wouldn t have taken over the circus. However, Bailey s
obsession with the circus makes him abandon his family. Additionally, Bailey would not take over the
circus without him finally standing up for himself. Morgenstern engages the reader with an exciting
storyline and uses a large range of language ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, from the earliest starting point to the end, characters are seen standing up for themselves. A
prominent example is when towards the end of the book, Bailey stands up for himself and his future.
With regards to Bailey s future, all his family is endeavouring to control his future. His grandma needs
him to head off to college, yet his father states he is taking control over the family farm and won t tune
in to anyone else. The easy thing to do would be to let the issue drop... Instead, and he is not entirely
certain why, he keeps the subject alive, bringing it up as often as possible. (Morgenstern 107) Despite
the fact that Bailey s dad won t tune in, Bailey continues pushing, winding up more forceful with what
he needs. In the end of the book Bailey goes to bat for himself and his future. When he is going out
with the goal to join the circus and is caught by his sister, he says, I don t care if you don t understand
that. Staying here won t make me happy. It will make you happy because you are insipid and boring,
and an insipid, boring life is enough for you. It s not enough for me. It will never be enough for me.
So, I m leaving. (Morgenstern 363) In this quote, Morgenstern uses repetition with the word it to

Challenges to the UK Health Care System Essay
Introduction In line with the majority of other developed countries, the United Kingdom (UK) has
offered its citizens a universal health care system that is free at the point of service. Funded primarily
by taxation, the system is popular and efficient. However, along with most other health care systems
around the world, it faces a series of challenges if it is to maintain viability, in the twenty first century.
These issues include; long waiting times, an aging population, funding challenges and the increasing
cost of technology. History of Health Care in the UK The UK is a sovereign country of almost
61,000,000 people comprising the nations of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. A highly
evolved democratic country ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It also monitors the quality of services provided and develops new policies. The performance of the
NHS is also monitored by the Health Care Commission, an independent executive agency that
performs annual reviews and ratings, and investigates complaints. According to Johnson and Stoskopf
(2008) there are a number of dimensions for measuring health care systems. The three most frequent
include: population health measures, system efficiency measures, and patient perceptions (p.74). Other
clinical measurements commonly used include infant mortality rates and life expectancy. The UK has
an infant mortality rate of 4.93 deaths per 1,000 live births, and an average life expectancy of 78.85
years. Funding for the NHS is a combination of private and public sources. All legal UK residents
have access to the NHS and pay a payroll tax, which equates approximately to 10% of earnings.
Although health care provided by the NHS is largely free, there are fees for certain services such as
prescriptions, dental and optician services, which are paid by all citizens who are working and make
more than minimum wage. Recent Reforms In 2000, an effort was made by the UK government to
resolve certain inequalities that had developed within the NHS by releasing the NHS Plan of 2000.
This plan greatly increased spending on employee pay, infrastructure, and access to services. Despite
almost doubling spending in a ten year period,

Oral communication is the process in which information or messages are exchanged among
individuals or groups using voice as the medium. It is one of the most common and frequently used
forms of communication because it can be used in many daily situations and activities. Oral
communication can be either formal or informal. Examples of informal oral communication include ...

It is also not a form of communication that can be used as a form of documentary evidence. In some
situations, even strong verbal skills can not substitute for putting things in writing. For example,
important information that needs to be documented using writing and some type of written record is
required in the business world.
Effective oral communication follows some basic principles in order to make sure that the message is
conveyed across properly. It is important to ensure that the words are pronounced clearly and are
delivered in the correct pace, pitch and tone. It is recommended to ensure the message contains clear,
brief and accurate information, but not complicated sentences and jargons. Information and idea in the
message should be organized in a sequential and attractive way so that the audience can understand
the message easily. It is also important to establish an eye contact and to modulate body language
based on the message. For example, a strict order can be conveyed better when communicated with a
formal and stern body language as opposed to a casual and friendly one.
Conflict Management
Conflict management is the practice of being able to identify and handle conflicts sensibly, fairly,
reasonably and efficiently. It is important that there are people who understand conflicts and know
how to resolve them because conflicts happen naturally in any business and workplace. Conflict

Turkey Accession to EU
Will Europe Open its Doors?
Arguments and Implications for Turkey s Accession to the EU The possible accession of Turkey to the
European Union is at the center of the controversy surrounding the EU s enlargement. Given the
disparate histories of the EU member states, Turkey s own complex and battle scarred history, and
nationalistic considerations, the question of whether Turkey will ultimately be accepted as an EU
member, with full rights and privileges, is one to which there are few clear cut answers. The debate
surrounding this issue continues to gain momentum both in Turkey and in the European Union.
France, with President Nicholas Sarkozy in the forefront, has taken a lead in opposing Turkey s
prospective membership in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the Copenhagen summit in December 2002, the EU outlined the political and economic conditions
that Ankara would have to satisfy before formal accession talks could begin. The so called
Copenhagen criteria require that Turkey have a functioning market economy and stable institutions
that guarantee democracy, the rule of law, and human rights (Phillips). With the 2002 election of the
Justice and Development Party (AKP), a pro European party with Islamist roots, a number of reforms
led to increased political and economic stability. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who became Turkey s Prime
Minister in March 2003, made it a priority to prepare Turkey for eventual EU membership, and passed
several constitutional and judicial reforms to that end. (Solana 12). As Turkey s political reforms
continued, the EU leaders agreed on December 16, 2004 to start accession negotiations with Turkey
beginning in October 2005. Despite an attempt by the Austrian government to offer Turkey less than
full membership, EU accession negotiations were officially launched, and Turkey has closed its first
chapter in negotiations in June 2006 ( History , pars. 8 9). In spite of this, Turkey encountered several
roadblocks along the way. Specifically, these included strained relations with the Kurds in northern
Iraq and separatist PKK guerillas who resumed fighting following a ceasefire (Zakaria 45). Another
major challenge that Turkey faced was Cyprus. Javier

Booker T. Washington s Influence on Historically Black...
BOOKER T. WASHINGTON: THE AMBIGUITY OF INFLUENCE ABSTRACT My paper will
discuss the continuing influence of Booker T. Washington s writings on historically black colleges.
While my paper will focus on the ways in which the historically black college continues to adhere to
the model provided by Washington, it will also explore the ways in which it diverges from the early
Hampton Tuskegee ideal. According to James D. Anderson in The Education of Blacks in the South,
both contemporary observers and later historians have portrayed the white south as taking a
monolithic view of black education. However, many secondary schools in the south did not emphasize
the kind of industrial education advocated by Washington. In the same manner, ... Show more content

The first freedmen s schools were run by the freedmen and women themselves. Booker T. Washington
s account of his own perseverence in securing his education is poignantly told in Up From Slavery. Yet
with Washington s influence, a shift began from educating students in a liberal arts tradition to an
industrial training mode. Unfortunately, by the turn of the century, with the help of the benefactor
Samuel Chapman Armstrong, the Hampton Tuskegee Idea had come to represent the ideological
antithesis of the educational and social movement begun by ex slaves (33). In order for freed slaves to
fully participate in a democracy, a classical liberal curriculum was adopted in post Civil War black,
elementary, normal and collegiate schools. As James D. Anderson aptly points out, Black leaders did
not view their adoption of the classical liberal curriculum or its philosophical foundations as mere
imitation of white schooling. Indeed, they knew many whites who had no education at all. Rather, they
saw this curriculum as providing access to the best intellectual traditions of their era and the best
means to understanding their own historical development and sociological uniqueness. (Anderson 29)
In fact, black educators like Richard Wright found support in the classics for racial equality; the study
of the classics was a means to understanding the

The Common Genetic Birth Defects
One of the most common genetic birth defects is Down syndrome which is a congenital disorder
caused from a chromosome defect. It causes impairments and physical abnormalities. This is a
condition where a child is born with an extra copy of their 21st chromosome. According to the
National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS), 1 in 700 babies are born with DS. There is not an exact
cause of how DS happens but there is an explanation as to what happens. When there is any case of
reproduction, genes from both parents are passed to the children. Within these genes there are
chromosomes and the child is supposed to receive 23 pairs of chromosomes or 46 total. Children with
DS end up with 3 copies or an extra partial copy of chromosome 21 instead of 2 ... Show more content

Children with DS often grow slowly and as they become an adult they are shorter than normal. Their
neck can have excess fat and skin which makes it look shorter than normal. Short, stocky arms and
legs along with a wide space between the big toe and second toe is also a physical body symptom. As
for face shapes and features they can have slanted eyes, nasal bridge that looks pushed in, small ears
that look low on the head, irregularly shaped mouth and tongue. A child s tongue can partly stick out
and the teeth can come in late and in a different order than other children. Most children with DS have
mild to moderate cognitive disabilities such as impulsive behavior, short attention span and slow
learning capabilities. Some health issues that are often symptoms of DS are heart defects,
hypothyroidism, eye conditions, hearing and dental problems, respiratory infections and depression.
(What is Down Syndrome) Children and adults with DS can face many major health concerns during
their life. A few of the most common include repetitive and obsessive compulsive behaviors, autism
spectrum conditions, neuropsychological problems, and inattentive behaviors. Young children with DS
that have limitations in language and communication skills, cognition, and non verbal problem solving

Compare And Contrast Hume s Riddle Of Induction
PHI 111, spring 2017
Paper #2 Induction
Inductive inferences are judgments about the future that the sun will rise tomorrow, that the hot stove
will burn me, that the (properly functioning) airplane will stay aloft, that the piece of metal will
expand if heated. Hume observes that such judgments are neither matters of fact nor relations of ideas
and so concludes that they are not proper objects of knowledge we cannot claim to know that the sun
will rise tomorrow, that the stove will burn me, etc. We can t even claim to know these things are
probable; inductive judgments appear not to be justified at all! But we make them all the time in
everyday life, and scientific practice seems to be based on them. How are we to make sense of our
inductive practices? Hume suggests that the answer lies in our psychology, that regularities in
experience give rise to habits of expectation. Popper and Goodman both argue that Hume s solution is
problematic, that we cannot explain our inductive practices simply by appealing to habits of thought.
Popper goes on to conclude that what we take to be inductive practice is really just a method of
conjectures and refutations and Goodman goes on to posit his new riddle of induction; what they have
in common, though, is a concern about Hume s psychological solution to the riddle of induction. ...

Genghis Khan Research Paper
Genghis Kan is more than a savage heartless man. He was a great warrior and even better strategist.
He was a man able to lead an army to conquer great countries such as China, Persia and Europe with
never before seen tactics. Genghis Khan s name was originally Temujin. The name he would later be
known for, Genghis Khan, would be given to him later. Genghis Khan s story of his genius and
greatness all started when he was born.
Temujin was born in 1162 with a blood clot in his hand, this foretold that Temujin would be a great
warrior. At a young age of 8, Temujin s father, a warrior chief, was poisoned by a rival tribe. Temujin s
mother told him that he must use his life to avenge his father. In 1180, Temujin was the chief of his

The Mongols waited and stopped supplies from entering the city. While Beijing s people were starving
to death and resorting to cannibalism to survive, the Mongol s were preparing by learning tactics such
as building catapults to conquer Beijing. When the war began the Chinese were much more advanced
than the Mongols, but Genghis Khan out witted them, by having Chinese prisoners at the front lines
and having his men wear silk shirts in order to prevent clothing from getting stuck in wounds. When
the city fell to the Mongols the Chinese commander took his own life. Genghis Khan ordered

land was filled with bones and bodies. Genghis Khan wanted to improve his society and brought in
Chinese people to help them develop weapons, create a medical field and had all of his followers
record his laws and judgments. He created trade posts begin his conquest with other countries. Persia
then decided to send one of Genghis Khan s messenger s head back. Genghis Khan sent an army of

Native Americans After Reconstruction
Option 2 There were three important people that had very different views on how to reconstruct the
Union. Reconstruction was, according to The Americans by McDougal Littell, the period during
which the United States began to rebuild after the Civil War (Page 376). It started in 1865 and ended
in 1877. The views on how Reconstruction should happen were very different for each of these
people: Abraham Lincoln, the Radical Republicans, and Andrew Johnson. Abraham Lincoln had very
unique views and ideas on how Reconstruction should be planned. He wanted to make the South s
return to the Union as quick and easy as possible (McDougal Littell, 2005, page 377). He also came
up with the Ten Percent Plan, which meant that the government ... Show more content on

The Indians were ridiculed and manipulated because of many different bills passed in the 1800 s and
their land was decreasing in size and amount of food sources and land. The effects of the Indian
Removal Act, Westward expansion, and the Dawes Act on the Native Americans in the 1800 s were
abundant. The Indian Removal Act was a bill signed by President Andrew. This act enabled the
president to give grants for unsettled land west of the Mississippi river, in exchange for Indian lands
within existing state border ( Primary Documents in American History. Library of Congress, 2015).
So, the Indian tribes were forcibly taking form their homes and moved to the west, because of this act.
Westward expansion effected the Native Americans because the Indians lived in these areas. First, the
pioneers started to kill the bison, the Indian s main food source, which lessened the amount of bison in
the area causing hunger in Native American tribes ( Buffalo Hunters in the Old West. Buffalo Hunters
in the Old West, 2015). Next, they moved into the Native s lands to build houses and farms. Searching
for gold was another problem, because the gold miners would search in their sacred hills, disturbing
peace between the two. ( America Indians and Western Expansion,

The Importance Of The Kelly Ayotte Campaign Essay
The Kelly Ayotte campaign was a well run organization and played a large role in getting the New
Hampshire citizens to the voting booth. I was honored to serve with such great people from who came
to New Hampshire from all over the country. These people like myself, wanted to hopefully help
Kelly Ayotte get re elected to the senate. The campaign headquarters was based out of a first floor
office, located in the Brady Sullivan Tower in Manchester. I was a man of many tasks, and tried to
help where I was needed depending on the day. I volunteered in the office and was out in the field,
knocking door to door. My job was incredibly important because going into the start of my service I
knew the senate race was going to be extremely close, the closest Senate race in the country for that
matter. As we observed, the race was extremely close and unfortunately my candidate lost three weeks
ago. Although, it was not the outcome we were looking for, I have a couple of theories of why we may
have lost by only eight hundred votes. If more un educated voters exercised their right to vote, the
outcome could have possibly been different. Whether we like it or not, most of the citizens in
Manchester New Hampshire are not as well versed on public issues and candidates. However, towns
including Bedford and Merrimack were very well versed. Towns including Bedford take election
cycles more seriously and in my eyes seemed more educated on the issues. The experience
volunteering on the Kelly

Baby Igneous Rocks Research Paper
Volcano eruptions bring newborn rocks to the world. Every year, rock families would wait around
volcanos for the erupted magma or surface lava to cool down. Each family would adopt the baby
igneous rocks of their type, who share the same genes, or minerals, as them. These igneous rocks
could have a variety of appearance and crystal sizes. Some rocks composed of surface lava have
smaller, less complex crystalline structures. They were cooled much faster when they were in contact
with air or water, and larger, more complex crystalline structure would not be formed before they
harden. On the adoption day, all kinds of rocks could be spotted; with different lustre, colour,
crystalline structure, and mineral composition. As baby igneous rocks

A Rose in the Hall Essays
A Rose in the Hall
In 1989 Pete Rose, one of baseball s greatest, lost all the respect he had gain in his successful career.
That year, the league had brought to there attention that Pete Rose was a chronic gambler. Eventually
Pete Rose ended up being banned from baseball. Now he wants a chance for a spot in the Hall of
Fame, a place for baseball s greatest. The question of whether or not Pete Rose should be accepted
into the Hall of Fame has been a source of great controversy in the baseball community. The author,
John Leland, address this controversy in his article, Hustling For the Hall, and attempts to prove that
Rose deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Mr. Leland believes that because of Rose s accomplishments,

commissioner of baseball will not even listen to Rose s case. Facts like these make the reader side
with Rose before even hearing each side s case. Leland appeals to the reader s emotions in this case
because most people feel that even the lowest of people deserve a second chance, a chance for Rose to
reform his lifestyles. Leland quotes Rose saying, Even Charles Manson gets a hearing every two years
. Leland agrees that Rose deserves a chance.
Leland argues that Rose is banned because he may have bet on baseball. Here he makes the reader feel
as if the case against Rose is not credible. Leland examines the case against Rose and finds that it is
flawed, and severely imbalanced. It did not present any exculpatory evidence . He also points out, to
take away from the credibility of the charges, that the Washington D.C. bar dismissed the case after
seeing the report against Rose. This information makes the reader think that someone is out to get

Benefits Of Telecommuting At The Industrial Revolution Essay
Prior to the industrial revolution, working from home was a practice that had been around for years
before the phenomenon of telecommuting was created. Telecommuting, a term coined by Jack Nilles
(Venkatraman, 1994), describes someone who works from home or a telecommuting site through the
use of the Internet and other forms of technology. Mirroring the past, many people telework today
because it is required by their occupation or simply because it is convenient. Whatever the reason may
be, the effects of telework as a prominent practice permit it to be considered a norm in our society.
With telecommuting becoming a fast growing ubiquitous phenomenon, it should be considered the
norm for suitable occupations (e.g. sales representative, customer service representative, and software
developer) because of the benefits it affords the employee/individual, the employer/organization, and
society.
Benefits of Telecommuting towards the Employee/Individual
Telecommuting should be the new normal because of the benefits such as autonomy, increased
productivity, and savings in time and expenses it affords the employee/individual. A major aspect of
telecommuting is that it provides individuals with autonomy or independence over their craft. The
absence of a person of authority directly monitoring an employee gives the employee the sense of
control. With this sense of autonomy placed on an individual, they are expected to discipline
themselves and dictate their work schedule at home in the

It is the territory that the organisation stakes out for itself with regard to products, services and markets served. This is also strongly affected by the organisation s external environment. • 3. The Mortgage And Financial Collapse Of The United States... The mortgage and financial collapse of the United States economy had a very devastating impact on thousands upon thousands of Americans. I count myself as one who also had been affected as well. I was a bank manager with more than twenty years of banking experience and had decided during the spring of 1998 to move into a more lucrative career in the mortgage and real estate business. Having started my banking career as a teller, I had built great relationships with my employers and customers and was proud of what I had accomplished. However, upon hearing the news of yet another bank merger, I decided that I would train as a mortgage processor with one of the best mortgage providers in New Jersey. Advancements came very quickly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I am not against creative financing to help individuals obtain the homes of their dreams. I was just not happy about the way that sub prime mortgages were presented to customers who did not fully understand what their particular mortgage note detailed. Therefore, the lessons that we have learned is that a buyer needs to be fully informed on how the process actually works. I recall one former client who was wiser than most, and she had decided that despite what the bank told her what she could afford ($140K) , she searched for a home priced ($100K) so she could afford it on her own. Years later, she told me about her husband s infidelity and sure enough he left their home within 14 months and she was stuck with the payments. Nevertheless, she made her payments and even though she was late several times, her resilience and determination paid off. She sold her house to a contractor for more than doubled its worth because of the two lots that the house was on. She had a success story. That is why it is very important to know what you are getting yourself into. I felt very sad when I would witness the lack of understanding of newly arrived immigrants who could barely understand the English language but there they were, trying to secure a mortgage loan. Full knowledge goes a long way and that is one of the reasons that I would refer clients to take a class on mortgage lending with one of the local realty agencies. Many of those ... • 5. Business Analysis of Little Falls Hospital Background In its most basic sense, risk management identifies, allows assessment, and prioritizes risks that are associated and central to an individual project or organization. Risk management allows the organization to be proactive in preventing or mitigating risks, for improving certain processes within the organization, and with the hope of preventing fiscal exposure. However, in almost every organization there are risks individuals are unique and do not always perform at a high level of safety; mechanical or design failures exist, construction projects have supply or labor issues, there are uncertainties in computer or data modification, of course natural disasters, and even deliberate attacks from competitors, etc. Because this is such a common occurrence, national and even international standards have been developed in conjunction with the insurance and regulatory institutions to at least provide basic guidelines to minimize risks risk (International Organization for Standardization, 2009). Little Falls Hospital is due for accreditation. In general, the process went well except for standards related to the 2010 National Patient Safety Goals. The regulatory body indicated that Little Falls has not devoted adequate human and organizational resources to these particular goals. For example: 1) there is no specific plan to address 2010 National Goals; 2) Recent plaintiff settlement by insurance carrier concerns; 3) Escalating costs of liability insurance with a policy ... • 6. The Pathology Of A Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Essay Seth Kahn s (2011), article entitled, Putting Ethnographic Writing in Context, identifies ethnography as the study of relationships, rituals, values, and habits that make people understand themselves as members of a group. Ethnographers adopt a stance of observation, as well as participation to better understand the discourse among members within a particular group, or discourse community (Khan, 2011). This ethnographic research will connect what community members know and do, with what they say and how they say it (Devitt, Bawarshi, Reiff, 2003). The purpose of this study is to explore how nurses, working in a cardiac catheterization laboratory, learn the local knowledge necessary to communicate with a multidisciplinary discourse community successfully. To protect the identity of participants in this study, the name of the laboratory included in the study will be identified as the XYZ Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Cardiovascular diseases have long been the leading cause of death in the United States (Narang et al., 2016). Research predicts the progression of cardiovascular disease will affect forty percent of our population by the year, 2030 (Narang et al., 2016). Furthermore, research shows that the cardiovascular workforce is inadequate to meet the rising demands of this patient population (Narang et al., 2016). In particular, a subset of cardiac nurses, a cardiac catheterization laboratory nurse is a key member of this cardiovascular workforce. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Summary Of The Movie Rambo Devin Minix September 25, 2017 Assignment #1 Rambo: First Blood The 1980s in America was a time when the country was struggling with tough issues and the aftermath of the Vietnam war. The overall view was that America could no longer involve itself anymore conflicts and general confrontations across the globe. With this in mind as we look back at the 1960s, we see a completely different world. We see an America that is knee deep in the battle of a lifetime, fighting an enemy of unknown power and strength with many unwilling men and women at war. We see this most evident in the movie Rambo: First Blood , where we are presented with Rambo, a Vietnam war veteran who returns to finds his friends after the war and instead enters another war but this time with the American government. Throughout this movie, Rambo can be viewed as a representation of American values during the 1960s with a combination of standing for the young men and women who fought in Vietnam and their struggle coming back to war as well as standing for old American values pre Vietnam, where the United States viewed itself as a positive force for good that had to get in struggles for freedom. We see the idea of him being another vet is easily understandable when you see the film. Rambo comes back to America looking for his lost friends from the Vietnam war and wonders around the town. He is met immediately with a harsh response by many people including the government. When you look back at the 1960s, we see a rise in anti establishment views and a hatred for the American government. We see a clear demonstration of these political views in the movie, when Rambo is defiant to the police chief who tells him to leave town so he will not disturb their carefully constructed peace. Rambo through the film is defiant because he blames the army and through blaming the army ultimately blames America for neglecting their troops and seeing him as a relic of the past. All throughout the movie, rather than reason with Rambo and talk through their problems, they choose the more violent routes that only lead to more turmoil and ultimately pain for the people who fight against Rambo. Between the PTSD flashbacks that Rambo experiences and the corrupt government ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Essay On Crowd Funding Crowd funding is an alternative method available to entrepreneurs aiming to gain money to finance their business enterprises. Kickstarter is a popular website that helps aspiring inventors and artists find investors to fund various projects. It is often difficult to find a single investor to help finance a project, and crowd funding can help alleviate the need for a single investor. Crowd funding allows many financial backers to offer relatively small amounts of money to aid the development of new products and ideas. In an effort to ensure success, potential entrepreneurs must fully understand the functions of Kickstarter, capitalize on the advantages of crowd funding, and provide adequate information to gain the desired level of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The table below further illustrates the funding levels available and pledged to produce this documentary. There are several reasons crowdfunding is advantageous to business professionals. In today s economy, it can be difficult for entrepreneurs to find funding in the traditional manner of applying for a loan with a business plan and getting approved. In 2012, the total number of loans and money distributed in the U.S. via the Small Business Administration has dropped as much as 20% (Prive, 2012). An extremely high percentage of business plans received are rejected. Crowdfunding offers an alternative that helps businesses ventures obtain funding. Crowdfunding reduces risk, can assist in product improvement, identifies customers, and provide free publicity. One of the most appealing benefits of crowdfunding is that it, for the most part, comes with little to no cost. Crowdfunding allows entrepreneurs to gain funding for products without the need to give up equity before turning a product concept into a product available in the marketplace. It is not uncommon for new business owners to fail to account for every possible pitfall in the early stages of operating a small business. By having a crowdfunding campaign, the entrepreneur has the ability to engage the crowd and receive comments, feedback, and ideas (Prive, 2012). People who contribute pledges to the campaign are future customers for the business. These donations come from ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Trophios Logos Sending him home empty handed at the end of a hard fought season won t help him learn the lesson of losing, it will teach him early that there s no value in the attempt (Zadrozny). Prizes such as trophies and ribbons are a controversial topic in society. Some believe that not enough are handed out to children while others believe that too many are handed out. Trophies are a symbol of victory and triumph, but do not forget that children just want to feel part of a team even though they are not good enough. Being there for your teammates and those in your life, when it suits you or when Saturday morning cartoons look like a lot more fun, is a lifelong lesson that cannot be taught to young ( Heffernan ). 57% of American children claim that they deserve a trophy after they participate in a team sport, after all, it is the children that are playing (Hill). • 10. Price Elasticity of Demand and Supply Q. Discuss how a supplier of a product that is currently fashionable might use both of these concepts in making price and output decisions. Price Elasticity of Demand The price elasticity of demand measures the sensitivity of the quantity demanded to price. The price elasticity of demand is the percentage change in quantity demanded brought by a 1 percent change in price. The value of price elasticity of demand for a normal good must always be negative, reflecting the fact that demand curves slope downward because of the inverse relationship of price and quantity. The price elasticity of demand can be an extremely useful piece of information for business firms, nonprofit institutions, and other organizations that are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The price elasticity of supply tells us the percentage change in quantity supplied for each percent change in price. The value of price elasticity of supply for a normal good must always be positive, reflecting the fact that supply curves slope upward because of the positive relationship of price and quantity. Similarly as price elasticity of demand, price elasticity of supply can be also an extremely useful piece of information for business firms in deciding how much to produce their products. To see why a business might care about the price elasticity of supply, let s consider how an increase in price might affect a business s total revenue. Since price and quantity have a positive relationship in price elasticity of supply, a higher price will generally mean producing at a higher quantity, so the total revenue will increase. Economists have classified the possible range of values for price elasticity of supply as Inelastic Supply, Unitary Elastic Supply, and Elastic Supply . In the process of helping a supplier of a product that is currently fashionable to decide output decision, we must first identify the classification that the product is in right now as being fashionable . As mentioned earlier, the price elasticity of supply is used to see how sensitive the supply of a good is to a price change. The higher the price elasticity, the more sensitive producers and sellers are to price changes. A very high price elasticity suggests ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. What Are The Causes Of The American Revolution The American Revolution began in 1775 19th of April and it ended in 1783 on September 3rd. The American Revolution began in the Lexington and Concord battle (April 1775). With tension building up between the thirteen colonists and the British the Lexington and Concord battle started the American Revolution. The shot at Lexington marked the first blood spilled in the war of American independence. There were many key causes, including the taxes that the British were charging America, the Boston Tea Party and the clash at Lexington and Concord. I think that the most important cause of the American Revolution was the issue of taxes. When the French and Indian war (also known as The Seven year war ) took place (1754 1763) King George III lost ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Patriots would cover the tax collectors in hot, sticky tar and feathers. It would burn the tax collector and they would be black for days. The Americans thought that taxing them was unfair as they had helped the British win the war and they did not deserve to be taxed. The thirteen colonies had to pay taxes on things such as dice, playing cards, sugar, tea, printed documents and much more. I think that this is a key cause of the American Revolution because if you are not used to paying taxes and all of a sudden you have to pay a lot of taxes it can lower your budget for daily things like groceries and water. I also think that this is one of the main causes because after a seven year war the British are making them pay for their own help. I think that this caused many people to feel frustrated, angry, fooled, offended and as if they hadn t done anything for the British. It is generic in its application, meaning that products, as well as CENTRAL FOR RAILWAY INFORMATION SYSTEM can benefit from its use. Indian Railways uses BSP when they want a new way to view the organization and determine the information needs in order to build CRIS. This process is very comprehensive, therefore it is often time consuming and expensive. BSP defines the information architecture for IR. • 13. Fly In The Fly Bugs and insects are often used as literary devices in very different ways, yet they mostly have some kind of connection to the protagonists lives, their emotions and their character traits. The insect s outward appearance stands in sharp contrast to that of a human being in fiction, yet its character traits or emotions are personified in order to be similar to those of the human protagonist. This contrast is what makes stories like these so effective. This is, to a certain extent, also the case in The Fly by Katherine Mansfield even though here the human protagonist, the boss, is the one actively projecting his inner self onto the insect. In fact, it is possible to say that the fly is used as a reflector: it reflects the boss s idealised ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is important to mention that the only way the boss is able to process his son s death is through crying but one day he fails to cry, starting the inevitable road to his spiritual death (cf. Boyle 183). More indications of the relation between the failure of the boss and that of the fly are found on page 164: Nothing happened or was likely to happen (Mansfield 164). This can be seen as a reference to the tears the boss ceases to cry and is most likely not going to be able to cry ever again. The aspect of failure also becomes obvious when looking at the way the fly is described throughout the last two pages: It was ready for life again (Mansfield 163). This shows not only the fly s victory of surviving the fall into the inkpot but also the new hope the boss finds in observing the fly and testing its limits. This hope, however, dies when the fly dies. As mentioned before, the boss experiences his spiritual death (Boyle 183) at the end of the story which is emphasised and illustrated by the death of the fly. The story, therefore, doesn t seem to be mainly about the death of the fly really but about how the fly s death stands for the boss s spiritual death. It is mainly caused by his inability to properly grieve for his son anymore, which leads him to loose all kinds of human feelings. Boyle examines the aspect of the spiritual death in greater detail and explains the connection between the blots of ink and the boss s grief very well, saying the struggles of the fly with the blots of ink, in fact, parallel the struggles of the boss with his grief for his son (184). According to Boyle, the love for the boss s son could be substituted with the grief he feels after his son s death. (185) It is therefore logical to assume that the moment he stopped grieving, he stopped loving to a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

She takes her time to listen to them and to understand the many cultural differences of all of her patients (Winter 2009). Empathy: Carissa is very empathetic to all her patients. She puts herself in their shoes. She is able to identify and share emotions while providing the best care possible. She treats her patients as she wants to be treated (Wilson 2012). Emotional stability: Nursing is a very stressful job and nurses are a special breed of people. Carissa is able to remain objective towards her patients while at the same time treating them as human beings. Being on a roller coaster ride of emotions is on her daily agenda. Most people at this stage of the virus are unaware the have the virus as there are no symptoms that can be seen or felt. Hume observes that such judgments are neither matters of fact nor relations of ideas and so concludes that they are not proper objects of knowledge we cannot claim to know that the sun will rise tomorrow, that the stove will burn me, etc. We can t even claim to know these things are probable; inductive judgments appear not to be justified at all! But we make them all the time in everyday life, and scientific practice seems to be based on them. How are we to make sense of our inductive practices? Hume suggests that the answer lies in our psychology, that regularities in experience give rise to habits of expectation. Popper and Goodman both argue that Hume s solution is problematic, that we cannot explain our inductive practices simply by appealing to habits of thought.
