Political Environment in Bangladesh and its Impact on International Trade Introduction The
interface between international trade obligations and domestic regulation of trade, health, safety
and the environment, special and differential treatment of developing countries dictates whether a
country will be able to gain from trade, commerce which contributes to development of a country.
Since, independence, the political environment of Bangladesh has been fragile due to its lack of
proper democratic practice, self fulfilling prophecy and decision making with inadequate
knowledge of international relations. Therefore, it is a dire need to know the impact of political
foresight to gain advantage in international trade. Overview of Political... Show more content on

So, contribution by Bangladesh Awami League, the Jatio Party and BNP has been immense in
increasing international trade. The potential areas for investment in Bangladesh include:
agriculture, fisheries, agro based industries, chemicals, light industries, natural gas and oil

foreign investment in Bangladesh are otherwise bright, we have at the same time some barriers to
investment. Such barriers include mainly Political instability a common problem in Bangladesh.
Though we expected substantial change in our political environment, we are not observing any
positive signs yet. This is a major disincentive for foreign investors. Most of the trade unions of the
country have political ties with the parties in power and opposition. This hampers industrial
production and pollutes the with environment. As a result, production target fail, the industry incurs

Criminological Theory Of Edwin Sutherland s Differential...
I.Introduction: Differential Association Theory is a criminological theory devised by Edwin
Sutherland asserting that criminal behavior is behavior learned through association with others
who communicate their values and attitudes (Walsh, 559).
Summary:
We live in a world that is full of choices and some individuals believe we have a choice that is made
by ourselves regardless of any influences from outside parties. We have the authority to
determine what is right or wrong for our own lives and we should be held accountable for those
decisions. However, one would believe it s safe to say we live in a world that approaches life with a
black or white perception. Meaning decisions in life are either morally right or morally wrong and

The world is full of self centered and self absorbed individuals. We are in a digital world where
selfies are more common than group photos and working alone for numerous hours are the latest
trend. We are forbidden to ask for assistance from others because one should be able to provide for
themselves. Walters lifestyle theory can be applied to our society today, in terms of crimeisn t a
behavior one choices. Society has a pattern that can alter the course of someone s life and decisions
leading them down a path of criminal history full of irresponsible, impulsive and self indulgent
behavior.
II.Differential Association Theory Differential Association Theory was created by Edwin
Sutherland, whose primary goal was to create a theory that could explain both individual
criminality and collect crime rates (Walsh, 186). For crime to occur conditions must be
available, if not present crime does not exist (Walsh, 186). In reading 13, it shows that
individuals exposed to criminal activity are more likely to become involved in criminal acts.
Many empirical tests have relied on the number of criminal associates as evidence of interaction
with criminal members within an individual s primary group (Walsh, 217). The reading on page
141 supports Sutherland s idea that behavior is learned. Kody Scott was recently a graduate from
an elementary school in Los Angeles whose sole purpose in life was to become a part of a gang
known as Eight Trey Crips. Many would argue

The Change Process Essay
At the beginning of the change process, a crucial aspect for Ghosn was the importance and the need
for an open communication in both directions: from upper management to lower management and
vice versa. Before he took over the position of the COO at Nissan, he traveled to Japan to gather
information from the lower level managementup to the top level management.
Clampitt, DeKoch, and Cushman outlined different communication strategies, which can be found
in Ghosn s communication style. They authors defined the communication strategies based on
communication effectiveness and amount of informational transmitted and emphasized that leaders
can use the strategies simultaneously (Palmer et al., 2009, p. 305). In the case of Nissan, Ghosn
followed the device of transparency to regain credibility, and thus he transmitted an enormous
amount of information. Furthermore, the communication effectiveness was middle to high since
Ghosn provided detailed information to the people involved in the change. He wanted to avoid
confusions, and thus he shared a maximum of information (Hughes et al., 2003, p. 6). Ghosn also
engaged people being a part of the change discussion, as an example: He defined the CFTs, which
had the challenge to identify the change actions and obstacles. Thus, Ghosn s communication
strategy (at least based on the case study) was a mix of tell and sell and underscore and explore
(Palmer et al., 2009, p. 306).
Plamer et al. (2009) introduced various questions,

The Care Setting Of An Intensive Care Unit ( Icu )
In the acute care setting of an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), more than 500,000 patients die
nationwide each year in the US (Nowlin, 2004). An increased surge in patient demand for skilled
critical care services, caused by an extended life expectancy due to advances in healthcare, has put
an enormous strain on critical care. In many cases the availability of technology can make the
difference between life and death for a patient. In addition to providing an extra set of eyes to
monitor patients, and streamlining collaboration among healthcare provider, the introduction of the
virtual ICU (vICU) helps to bridge the gap of nurse and intensivists shortages naturally that would
otherwise make it difficult to meet patient demand. Overview of Virtual Intensive Care Unit The
virtual ICU, also known as a tele ICU or an electronic ICU (eICU), is a form of telemedicine that
uses audio/video technology to further increase the of critical care service. The vICU uses two way
cameras, microphones, video monitors, telephones, computers and alarms all connected with high
bandwidth data lines. The members of the vICU remote staff include; experienced critical care
physicians (intensivists), critical care nurses, and data assistants. The remote staff monitors
multiple ICU patients at a separate locations and are supplied with live patient data throughout the
day. By using voice, video, and data software and hardware, the remote staff can monitor the heart

he Lottery by Shirley Jackson
Hitting the Lottery In the beginning of Shirley Jackson s The Lottery, June 27th is as normal as
any other summer day in the small village. The morning was described as clear and sunny with
flowers blossoming profusely and the grass richly green (Jackson, 1). The attitudes of the children
are rather happy and normal as they begin to gather playing boisterous[ly] (Jackson, 1). By the end
of the story, the beautiful, normal summer day as described in the beginning is a day that every
member, including the children, of the town partakes in a public stoning of a member of their
village. In this dark and unpredictable short story, Shirley Jackson uses tone and objects to convey
a message of tradition and murder. The tone in Shirley Jackson s The Lotterychanges from happy
to cautious to horrific. The tone not only creates a feel for the reader but it also reflects how the
characters in the story feel as well. When the people are described as happy in the beginning, the
reader is at ease, expecting nothing; however, a feeling of nervousness falls on the reader as the
men in the crowd of villagers [held] the small folded papers in their large hands [while] turning
them over and over nervously (Jackson, 4). The reader doesn t know why the men with the slips
of paper are nervous which causes him or her to become anxious and nervous as well. When a

The True Meaning of Intelligence Essays
When a person utters the word intelligence, people tend to think of a genius like Albert Einstein
developing some obscure equation that the great majority of the population will never understand.
The problem with the definition of intelligence is that people relate intelligence to words like
genius which require intelligence but do not have the same definition as intelligence. Often, people
try to use related words to define intelligence, but these words are unable to define intelligence since
many are only different levels of intelligence. While many definitions try to encompass the meaning
of intelligence and various definitions describe a small part of intelligence, no definition completely
explains intelligence, because... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although intelligence is a concept, there are many definitions that try to describe and interpret
intelligence for people. One of the many definitions is the capacity to understand (World English
Dictionary: Intelligence). This definition is describing intelligence and giving one facet of the
diamond that is the various definitions of intelligence. This simple definition is often used by
many common people, but a more in depth definition is the ability to derive information, learn
from experience, adapt to the environment, understand, and correctly utilize thought and reaction
(APA Dictionary of Psychology: Intelligence). This definition delves deeper into intelligence and
paints a general picture of intelligence but is unable to define intelligence for a simple reason.
Intelligence is a concept and thus is impossible to completely define by one comprehensive
definition. Since intelligence is a concept, there are no words that are able to completely explain
the concept, but there are words that can give a general idea of the concept. Intelligence has three
main facets that must be acknowledged before one can understand intelligence. Each facet is
intertwined with another of the facets that each connect to create intelligence. The three facets are
logic, growth, and emotion. The logic of intelligence allows one to solve problems in order to

Norton Anthology American Literature Robert Levine Analysis
Two forces of history mentioned in Volume C of Robert S. Levine s text, Norton Anthology
American Literature, are realism and naturalism. These forces relate to the literature of that time
period in different ways. Realism relates because it portrays life according to how it was at that
time, and naturalism relates because it exaggerates realism. Both of these forces of history are
important to understand life at that time through a literary standpoint.
Realism was used to refer to literary fiction that was rooted in the observation and documentation of
the details of everyday life (Levine 7). This means that the authors of that time did not solely state
facts in their work, but instead they used their own perceptions. Writers described

Teenage Culture And The Normalization Of A Teenage Society
Being a teenager isn t easy. At no point in history has being a teenager ever been easy. Since the
moment you turn thirteen, you are plunged into a world where your thoughts are plagued and
your emotions trap you. Teenage culture has become the normalization of peer pressure, drug
and alcohol abuse, bullying, cliques, etc. Teenagers are the ones who decide who and what is
cool or not. Teenagers create the social boundaries and characteristics that every generation has
come to know. They are the control of the media and have more power than most people are
willing to ever realize or understand. But they are constantly placed in boxes and labeled.
Teenagers have become walking cliches and are treating poorly by many because of that. In the
movie, Legally Blonde, the main character, Elle Woods, is a popular blonde sorority girl who is
constantly torn down and criticized for simply being herself. The movie begins with music
playing. The beginning credits show and the stage is set. The camera shows a desk of perfume
and makeup. Suddenly a bunch of fun popular girls appear on screen. Confusion fills the air of
the audience. Minutes pass and we are introduced to our main character. She is popular and
beautiful and... blonde. The audience begins to panic. How could it possibly be that the main girl
is not nerdy and introverted? The audience demands for a clarification, waiting for her to strike so
we can establish her as villain. The strike never comes. The audience begins to

Research Paper On The Moonstone
The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins does not follow a traditional marriage driven plot. Although The
Moonstone s plot is not centered on marriage, it becomes essential to the story.
Introduce the characters and the aim of the essay
Without Franklin s drive to get Rachel back, the matter of the stolen moonstone would have been
put to rest. This shows that even though The Moonstone is a mystery novel, marriage plays an
essential role in enhancing the plot. The novel looks at various couples and though it ends with
the marriage of Franklin and Rachel, it does not suggest that all marriages end happily. Collins is
known for developing his ideas about marriage in his writing, including novels such as The
Moonstone, The Woman in White, and many other works. There are things within The
Moonstone that both contradict and support Collins ideas and views on marriage. Collins used
his novels as a platform to express his feeling towards Victorian marriage laws, unmarried woman,
and ideas on marriage as a whole. Marriage plays a crucial role in Wilkie Collins The Moonstone.

Analysis Of Disobedience As A Psychological And Moral...
The Disobedience as a Psychological and Moral Problem was written by Erich Fromm. The
author was a writer in the twentieth century. He did various things and had various jobs. The
author talks about the effects of obedience and disobedience. He explains that the world we live
in today will be destroyed through disobedience. Fromm uses mythological and religious figures to
explain how this theory makes sense. Fromm argues that society goes on without accomplishing
freedom through disobedience. Some forms of disobedience are acceptable, but others may be too
harsh and unnecessary. Fromm strongly believes that humans should be disobedient and if not
they will not be successful in life. The first thing that he talks about is Adam and Eve and how
they disobeyed an order, which was when they ate from the forbidden tree. The consequence of
disobeying a request made the ties with Earth tear and their eyes to open. Adam and Eve never
again observed each other as equivalents, they took a gander at each different as outsiders and

Choosing a mate in society now days is usually base on our ideal image of significant other we
have created in our head that is influence by our surroundings. The mate selection theory, which
appeals most to me, is the Ideal Mate Theory because everybody has developed a concept of their
own ideal mate. Three reasons why this theory of the Ideal mate theory appeals to me are: 1. Best
way to find a mate is base on parental control/role modelling meaning finding a mate that will be

Having standards (knowledge of unattractive and attractive qualities) in selection of a mate is
the best way of obtaining a successful relationship. In the future, I think I will select my mate
reflecting the ideal mate theory because I will form my concept of my ideal mate based on
surroundings and experiences/encounters. I believe I will choose a social homogamous mate
because I would like to build a relationship with a mate with a similar appearance, background,
religion, age, value and social class. Before establishing a relationship with a mate, I would like
have friendship leading to dating leading to engagement leading to marriage. Which allows me to
be more familiar and flexible to my mate s personality and values, and I would know the expected
roles of him in our future.
Finding the ideal man or woman when you have many preferences is nearly impossible but
finding a man or woman with reasonable / respectful standards is more likely to found. For
example, my parents got married because they both had the fit into each other s preferences of an
ideal mate. My mother and father were attracted to each other because they have shared the social
homogamous theory. Both coming from a family well respect, same religion, and same friends
from adolescent years, live in the same area, and many more factors which were similar that
influenced them to get married.

He knew that the Taliban would likely withdraw to their spiritual center of gravity in Kandahar
as forces put pressure on them in the north . A long range amphibious assault would be needed to

outlook that the choices you make to get to where you want to go in life are always going to make
outcomes that force you into becoming a person you wouldn t expect to become. However, the
authorial intention of Until Dawn (Here Comes the Sun), portrays the message that sometimes
there are things in life you are going to want and desire but can t always get it the way you want.
Although both songs depict very different perspectives of the characters projected within these
lyrics, the themes that were explored within the song intertwine as both people within the songs
leave their relationships on their own terms but leave a space free for their previous significant
other to come back to them. This is important to note as though both songs tell two different stories
about relationships, it s a kind of chilling mood that both the perspectives are sung about that
implies that neither of them want the people that surround them to find somebody else to share the
feeling of love with. Both of the songs tie together the themes, literal devices and authorial intention
in order to strongly bring out the emotions of this song which create meaning for the listener of the

Collection And Monitoring Of Particulate Matter
Collection and monitoring of Particulate Matter:
The aerodynamic properties of particles determine how they are transported in air and how they
can be removed from it. These properties also govern how far they get into the air passages of
the respiratory system. Additionally, they provide information on the chemical composition and
the sources of particles. Particles have irregular shapes and their aerodynamic behaviour is
expressed in terms of the diameter of an idealised sphere. The sampling and description of
particles is based on this aerodynamic diameter, which is usually simply referred to as particle size
. Particles having the same aerodynamic diameter may have different dimensions and shapes. Some
airborne particles are over 10,000 times bigger than others in terms of aerodynamic diameter.
Based on size, particulate matter is often divided into two main groups: o The coarse fraction
contains the larger particles with a size ranging from 2.5 to 10 Вµm (PM10 PM2.5). o The fine
fraction contains the smaller ones with a size up to 2.5 Вµm (PM2.5). The particles in the fine
fraction which are smaller than 0.1 Вµm are called ultrafine particles.
Most of the total mass of airborne particulate matter is usually made up of fine particles ranging
from 0.1 to 2.5 Вµm. Ultrafine particles often contribute only a few percent to the total mass,
though they are the most numerous, representing over 90% of the number of particles.
Airborne particulate matter represents a complex

Eisenhower s Farewell Address Analysis
Eisenhower s Farewell Address
After World War II, America continued to increase their defense to avoid more losses like the Pearl
Harbor incident that killed 2,300 Americans and destroyed ships and aircraft. Furthermore, the Cold
War raised the demand to increase the American defense system. President Dwight D. Eisenhower,
the supreme commander of the Allied Forces during WWII and two term President, was concerned
about the sudden growth and cost of the American defense system. During his Farewell Address,
Eisenhower addressed his concerns about keeping the peace, the creation of numerous weapons for
the national defense, and how scientific and technologic development becomes a powerful and
unregulated tool.
One of Eisenhower s concerns ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the United States faced two world wars in less than fifty years, the American government is
obligated to create military weapons and equipment from an armament specialized industry, not
from other industries. American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make
swords as well. But now we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense; we
have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions (Ravitch 537).
With the government investing millions to billions of dollars in armament industries, these
industries create and innovate various equipment, weapons, and technology for the military to
employ in their duty defending the country from outside threats. As the fear of communism
continued to spread across the country, the American government invested billions of dollars in
wars against communist regimes. Furthermore, missile forces expanded even further. Some people
may argue the American government exploited the Red Scare to enhance patriotism, national unity,
and authority. However, there is no evidence to back up this claim since it is a conspiracy theory
based on intuition. The Arms Race during the Cold Waris an example of the American government
compelled to employ numerous weapons and technology to demonstrate the strength of their
military. With the Soviets continuing to send satellites such as Sputnik and develop their own
versions of the Atomic and Hydrogen bombs, the Americans employed initiatives such as the
Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) to counter the Soviet threats. The Arms Race continued until the
Soviet Union disbanded in the early 90s and ruined the economy spending money on weapons and
technology. In a sense, the Cold War prevented a WWIII since the Americans and Soviets spent
billions of dollars on their national defense rather than initiating a

Television News vs. Newspaper
Television news vs. Newspaper When it comes to finding about the news of what s going on in
our world, we want details and facts. We want the juice of what s actually going on. The debate
between the efficiency of newspapers and TV news, TV news is a lot more effective.
Watching the news on TV is a lot easier for people to understand and is more convenient than
reading it on paper. For the people who are always in a rush in the morning, it s more convenient
to turn on the TV and listen to what s going on rather than trying to read a paper because it will
only slow your task down. Also, for the people who don t know how to read and for elders whose

The smallest story could be the most important; but if you have a newspaper, you won t be able to
find out what s going on, so you ll have to rely on the TV news to tell you what you want to
know. TV offers more options of news. People are mostly fond of making choices. Watching TV
can satisfy this requirement. Because there are many channels for options on news, for example,
ABC7 channel news doesn t provide you the news you want to know about, then you can always
change the channel. But the newspaper is published by one publication. Whatever information is on
there is what you have to stick with. The point of view and the news are somehow limited and
prejudice. So in order to get a comprehensive view, people can try many different channels to get an
understanding.
Unlike the TV news, newspaper are portable and has no time limited, this has the advantages that
people can read them whenever they want. But I believe that getting news from TVs is due to its

Jesus In The Book Of Judges
We all know that Jesus is not able to be replicated by anything from mankind. Keeping this in mind,
we still strive to be like him. I the book of Judges there are great examples of men trying to be like
Jesus, and follow in his footsteps. WE also know that we have sin in our lives so there is no way to
be perfect like Jesuswas. In the book of Judges there are also many examples of people falling
into sin and being much different than Jesus. Samson was a strong warrior. Later in his life he
was captured and was put on a stage as what seems like nothing but a freak show for the rich to
look at and be entertained. At this point in times he pulls the pillars killing more people then he
did when he lived. (Judges 16) Now, this doesn t compare to Jesus at all. The point that compares

Gideon knew that if you put your hope in the place then your numbers don t matter as
much.(Judges 7) He narrowed down his men from 10,000 to 300 (as God had commanded.) With
all this trust he put in God he was able to defeat all the Midianites and prove that God can use
small numbers. Jesus also worked with very small numbers. Jesus knew that God could work
though small numbers and that He didn t need the advantage of a big crowd to win. Jesus had
many followers but narrowed his core group of followers to 12. God was able to carry on his
message through these men and show his love to the world. Samson also contrasted from Jesus
and showed weakness. Samson knew his purpose and how to fulfill it (by following the Nazarite
vows) but he fell into sin many times and broke the promise with Christ. One example of
Samson breaking the Nazarite vow is touching the dead carcass of a lion in Judges 14:9. Jesus on
the other hand fulfilled his prophecy in full. He not only stayed clean but also lived a perfect life.
This ultimately ending with his main purpose of dying for all of us through crucifixion. (Luke

as being socialized and authentic leaders. Socialized and authentic leaders...are other oriented and

Common themes within this literature favour such leaders that gain the respect of followers
and in turn hold power that they use in a positive way. Unlike those leaders who abuse their
authortative position, and rely on coercive power to gain respect through instilling fear . (The
power image) It is appears that those leaders who are socialized and authentic achieve much
more success as they are able to get followers onside and work toward a common vision. Method
To gather the necessary information required for this report, we were to research online on the

New Zealand leaders, to hear their discussions and thoughts on leadership. This method required
us to watch all seven videos and take notes on the parts we felt may be relevant for our report. In

parts, for everyone to complete in their own time and bring back to the group at a later date. We

question, Is this a good way to make public policy? I feel that even though the process is not
perfect it is a great way to allow the average citizen more power in policy making.
The History
Democracy Derailed begins with addressing the evolution of the initiative process. During the first
twenty years in Plymouth Colonies, all adult men met to consider legislation. In 1715,
Massachusetts had to address anything that was supported by ten citizens. By 1788, Massachusetts
began conducting referendums, and by the 1850 s, referendums had become an acceptable

The common ground that all members shared was their dislike and distrust for Democrats,
Republicans, banks and monopolists. They felt that these groups were controlled by extreme
corruption and infested legislatures with bribes to maintain control and power.
Both groups chose the initiative to help clean up governmental corruption, inspired by its use in
Switzerland. The Webster s Dictionary defines initiative as, the introduction of proposed
legislation, as to popular vote, by voters petitions. This is what dre3w both the Populists and
Progressives to migrating initiatives to the United States. The popular theory was that if voters
would gain education and curiosity connected to public affairs. Initiatives seemed like the logical
solution to allow power directly aback in the people s hands. Woodrow Wilson wrote that, the men
who have been ruling America must consent to let majority into the game...We will not allow the
few to continue to determine what the policy of the country is to be...all men with the convictions
of America in their hearts, will crowd to that standard and a new day of achievement may come for
the liberty we love.
Wilson was just one politician to believe that initiatives could help American government. Theodore

Analysis Of The 3rd Council Of Orthodoxy
We see that each Ecumenical Council brings about different theological claims that would later
shape the idea of orthodoxy. What is important in relation to these theological claims in the
councils is the take away from each. They each bring a new idea, and tradition, into the next time
period. While they still continue to have multiple councils, we see the adapting and changing of
each because of how the Church s themselves operate. The councils bring forth lessons to be
learned with regards to valuable information that is put toward the idea and culture of orthodoxy.
The 3rd Council in Ephesus focuses on Cyril and Nestorius in relation to Theotokos (Cyril bearer
of God) and Christotokos (Nestorius Christ bearer). The 4th council in Chalcedon... Show more

Cyril and Nestorius in the third council introduce the way that politics played into the councils
and how the outcome would influence orthodoxy. We see this by looking at how both Cyril and
Nestorius wrote to Pope Celestine, while only Cyril wrote in Latin, which made it easier for the
Pope himself to read more promptly, while Nestorius s was pushed to the side to later be
translated. This was another strike for Nestorius, and it did not help that he was seen as having a
similar character to those who believed in Pelagianism. This is where we note imperialism being
woven into the making of orthodoxy by the powerful bishops and leaders in Christianity by using
the councils to enforce basic structures. They would implement these through their bishops, and
teachings based Christ s life, and on the principles based out of successful councils. Bishops
themselves became the hierarchy in particular churches, and would soon lead to different
adaptations based on individual Churches such as papa and pharaohs (Acts of Council of
Chalcedon, p.12). These same bishops and other sees would later cause rivalry among various
issues (Acts of Council of Chalcedon, p.16). In any hierarchy, we see favoritism and personal
views conflicting with the roles given. The late antiquity time frame was no different in relation
to personal views on subjects, individuals, and how those politics played into the role of
imperialism. This therefore played into the idea of favorites in the world of imperial politics of
this period. We see how this was intertwined within politics based upon the end conclusions of the
third and forth councils. Such decisions from these councils lead to hatred of either Cyril, or of
Nestorius. This lead to Antiochene bishops, who were not yet ready to follow Cyrillian Christology,
to therefore objected the teachings while sticking to their previous teachings from Nestorius

In the Revolutionary War, much of the action went on behind the scenes. Most Americans have a

However, there is a large portion of this history that is almost entirely unknown the war behind the

birth of secret intelligence use. George Washington is given the credit for this development by
most officials. Along with the use of spies, we also have the beginning of ciphers and coding in

Social Expectations In To Kill A Mockingbird
A society will often dictate what is expected of citizens through the unspoken social expectations of
the community. These expectations set by society often lead to inequalities, in terms of power and
inclusion, which can be seen through Maycomb s court system and Atticus s statements of
Maycomb s social expectations. In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee, the conflict
between social expectations and inclusion in society stems from the racism and sexism found in the
community of Maycomb. This demonstrates that to achieve equality in a community, social
expectations that are set by the public cannot limit or restrain a specific set of people in terms of
power or inclusion in society.
In Maycomb s society, the social expectation of white men having more power than black men
illustrates the inequality the community faced when racism is added to social expectations.
While Atticus is talking to Jem about how the court system works, he states, In our courts, when
it s a white man s word against a black man s, the white man always wins (Lee 223). Atticus s
statement reveals that social expectations are related to racism because it causes an inequality in
power between black and white civilians. Based on the color of one s skin, it would determine the
amount of power they would have in society. This tells readers that to achieve equality in a
community, it is necessary for everyone, regardless of race, to have equal power in terms of voices
and opinions so that all

A Brief Note On The Civil Rights Era
10 Page Essay In the eleventh grade I was assigned to write a ten page essay on the civil rights era.
You had to choose a specific person or group from a list and write how they helped with era. I was
given three weeks to write the essay. However, there was an outline to help us know how far
along we were supposed to be. We were not held accountable to follow the essays outline, because
my teacher wanted it to a college essay. There was seven parts of the essay Plan of Investigation,
Background Information, Summary of Evidence, Sources Evaluation, Analysis, and Conclusion.
The Plan of Investigation answered the question what are civil rights and explained the purpose and
methods I was using for the essay. Background Information... Show more content on

I had no idea who she was, but since her last name was Shakur I knew she was related to Tupac.
To prepare myself for this essay I knew I was going to need to complete all lot of research, so
that s where I began. For a week, that s all did research, but I began to notice that I would not be
able to get even information on Assault for a ten page essay. So, it was really smart that I did a
lot of research first. The following day I had a conversation with my teacher Ms. Washington
and voiced my concerns about the essay. She understood my dilemma and allowed me to change
my topic. However, she warned it was not wise to do that, because then I would be a week behind
on the assignment. I thought about it, but I knew I was not going to be able to write more than
five pages about her. With that in mind I decided I was going to change my topic to The United
Farmer Workers Union.
Changing topics was very helpful the United Farmers Workers Union was a broader topic. I could
talk about Cesar Chavez, Dolores Huerta and the organization while still being on topic. The only
problem was I was now a week behind. To fix this problem I planned to do research for a week and
then write for the last week. Research for this topic was way easier to find than it was for Assault
Shakur. I began to get a lot of research done. I made sure everything was in chronological order to
make it easier for myself when I began to write my essay. Since I was behind it began to be really

Our Dwelling Place:
The Calling of the Christian Entrepreneur By Chaya Braxton
Introduction
The founder of local grocery chain, Ukrop s, Joseph Ukrop was devoted to his vocation of being
Richmond s local grocer. He put community first and used his grocery stores to build community.
His legacy of entrepreneurship in Richmond was characterized by a distinct commitment to the
Christian principles. For example although Ukrop s was closed on Sundays and sold no alcohol,
they were still able to be a market leader in the Richmond grocery industry. In 2000, ... Show more

5Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass
which groweth up.
The last segment of the Psalm is Moses appeal to God for him to return his presence to his people:
Return, O LORD, how long? And let it repent thee concerning thy servants. Not only should God
return, but Moses asks for complete restoration and for God to bless the work of man: Let thy
work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children. And let the beauty of the LORD
our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands
establish thou it.
A synopsis of Psalm 90 is that man God is eternal, man is finite. Therefore man should repent of
his sin, turn from his wicked way and be restored to the dwelling place of the Lord God. Also,
because man s days are numbered, he should seek to be the most productive during his youth as to
reflect the glory of God. There is safety and peace in God s design. good This theme of vocation
and purpose is a constant theme in the both the Hebrew and Christian scriptures.
The Vocation of the Christian Entrepreneur
The significance of Psalm 90 frames the meaning of vocation for the Christian entrepreneur. For the
Christian entrepreneur, vocation , meaning vocare in Latin, indicates that there is a relationship
between the one is calling and the one being called.12 This

Overt And Covert Facial Recognition Essay
Facial recognition involves the identification of individuals through the use of their facial features
and, or expressions (MS, 2017). The model of facial recognition seeks to discover exactly how
the brain is able to recognize facial features both consciously and unconsciously (Schweinberger
Burton, 2003). The following set of experiments seeks to study overt and covert facial recognition
(Schweinberger Burton, 2003). Covert facial recognition is the unconscious recognition of familiar
faces (Maureen, 2016). Whereas, overt facial recognition involves conscious facial recognition
(Maureen, 2016). There are many considerable methods used by researchers to examine the process
of covert and, or overt facial recognition (Schweinberger ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Each study discussed above examines the model of facial recognition and its relation to overt
and covert recognition. Covert facial recognition is the unconscious recognition of familiar faces
(Maureen, 2016). Whereas, overt facial recognition is the conscious recognition (Maureen, 2016).
There has been a vast amount of research on the topic in an attempt to discover exactly how the
recognition of facial features/expressions take place in the brain and how it can be linked to
certain neurological disorders. Overall, results from each study examined tend to suggest that overt
and covert facial recognition share the same area of the brain. Research by Farah and colleagues
did not support this idea however, they do not deny it either. Rather, they suggest the possibility of
separate forms of prosopagnosia, one causing damage to both overt and covert facial recognition
while the other(s) cause damage to only one of the functions. This study, however, is also much
older than the others examined which could be a result of lack of information that overtime was
learned by others. The majority of research suggests that damage to overt facial recognition will
in time result in damage to covert facial recognition. Thus meaning if one is damaged it is only a
matter of time before the other starts to suffer. However, with it not being the case one hundred
percent of the time it would not be fair to assume that and ignore opposing research. There are
many different ideas and findings on the subject and hopefully with time researchers will be able to
learn whether or not the damage of one area guarantees the damage of the

Research Paper On Mars
Mars is our 4th planet in the Solar System in the Milky Way Galaxy, It consists of frozen water,
but it s water is underground because the atmosphere that was there is gone, and it kept the water
warm on mars, but since it the atmosphere is gone, the water froze into the ground. People are also
thinking about traveling up to mars, and colonizing it for the future to live on for generations to
come.
Though it could cost over five hundred thousand dollars to get a spaceship and the fuel to go to
mars, it will still be quite worth it to do so. Elon Musk was one of the astronomers to be able to
go to the moon in 1969. He states that If he does not get to see humanity find a way to travel to
mars in his lifetime, he will be dissapointed. (Musk) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Punishment In The Middle Ages Essay
The fall of the Roman Empire marked the Middle Ages from 500ce to 1500ce which brought with it
new ideas and systems. As medieval society developed, changes and consistencies occurred in law
and order. In particular, continuity and change occurred in punishments, trial procedures, and court
systems.
Punishments in the Middle Ages were harsh and horrific, with change occurring as heads of state
and laws changed. In the Middle Ages, punishments were used as a deterrent to gain peasants
obedience. Types of punishments included torture, mutilation, and public humiliation. When the
Normans invaded England in the 11th century, (Norman Conquest of England, 2017) many changes
were made to punishments. William the Conqueror used the death penalty ... Show more content on

In the Early Middle Ages, only Trial by Ordeal was used. This trial was based on the belief that
God would save the Innocent and punish the guilty and had horrific methods, such as placing an
arm in boiling water or holding an iron bar. (Tol Zagora 2014, p. 63) With the Norman Conquest
in 1066, William the Conqueror introduced trial by combat (Rickards, 2012). Trial by combat was
used for the nobles, where the accused would fight the accuser. William the Conqueror believed that
God would protect the Innocent when the parties fought. The guilty would ve then be punished
severely (Easton Saldais 2011, pp. 330, 331). With the creation of the Magna Carta in 1215
(Trueman, 2016) there were many changes to the Trial Procedures. The Magna Carta abolished
Trial by Ordeal and replaced it with Trial by Jury, which involved a jury hearing a case and
deciding the guilt or innocence of the accused. Many people didn t trust trial by jury, which led to
a law being created in 1275 stating that if a criminal didn t choose trial by jury then they were
tortured (Addison, et al. 2011). Therefore, evidence shows changes in power and laws transformed

I.Introduction: Differential Association Theory is a criminological theory devised by Edwin Sutherland asserting that criminal behavior is behavior learned through association with others who communicate their values and attitudes (Walsh, 559). Summary: We live in a world that is full of choices and some individuals believe we have a choice that is made by ourselves regardless of any influences from outside parties. We have the authority to determine what is right or wrong for our own lives and we should be held accountable for those decisions. However, one would believe it s safe to say we live in a world that approaches life with a black or white perception. Meaning decisions in life are either morally right or morally wrong and ... We are in a digital world where selfies are more common than group photos and working alone for numerous hours are the latest trend. Walters lifestyle theory can be applied to our society today, in terms of crimeisn t a behavior one choices. Society has a pattern that can alter the course of someone s life and decisions leading them down a path of criminal history full of irresponsible, impulsive and self indulgent behavior. II.Differential Association Theory Differential Association Theory was created by Edwin Sutherland, whose primary goal was to create a theory that could explain both individual criminality and collect crime rates (Walsh, 186). For crime to occur conditions must be available, if not present crime does not exist (Walsh, 186). In reading 13, it shows that individuals exposed to criminal activity are more likely to become involved in criminal acts. Many empirical tests have relied on the number of criminal associates as evidence of interaction with criminal members within an individual s primary group (Walsh, 217). The reading on page 141 supports Sutherland s idea that behavior is learned. • 5. The Change Process Essay At the beginning of the change process, a crucial aspect for Ghosn was the importance and the need for an open communication in both directions: from upper management to lower management and vice versa. Before he took over the position of the COO at Nissan, he traveled to Japan to gather information from the lower level managementup to the top level management. Clampitt, DeKoch, and Cushman outlined different communication strategies, which can be found in Ghosn s communication style. They authors defined the communication strategies based on communication effectiveness and amount of informational transmitted and emphasized that leaders can use the strategies simultaneously (Palmer et al., 2009, p. 305). In the case of Nissan, Ghosn followed the device of transparency to regain credibility, and thus he transmitted an enormous amount of information. Furthermore, the communication effectiveness was middle to high since Ghosn provided detailed information to the people involved in the change. He wanted to avoid confusions, and thus he shared a maximum of information (Hughes et al., 2003, p. 6). Ghosn also engaged people being a part of the change discussion, as an example: He defined the CFTs, which had the challenge to identify the change actions and obstacles. Thus, Ghosn s communication strategy (at least based on the case study) was a mix of tell and sell and underscore and explore (Palmer et al., 2009, p. 306). Plamer et al. • 21. Comparison Of Adaptation And Here Comes The Sun In Adaptation and Till Dawn (Here Comes the Sun), Canadian artist The Weeknd clearly depict the themes of loneliness, relationships, betrayal, lust and society which is explored quite heavily throughout the two songs both portraying the themes in different perspectives. Within the first song Adaptation, the story presented is about a young man who after time allows himself to let go of the women he loves in order to pursue his ambitions and enjoy the highlife that comes with those ambitions all whilst contemplating whether the madness was worth it all. Even though the man has spent time looking for the one that is right for him, he knows that the desire of him having too much is taking over his chance of keeping his relationships together.... Adaptation s authorial intention is trying to convey the message that people shouldn t have the expectation that reaching your goals or ambitions are going to be easy but instead having the outlook that the choices you make to get to where you want to go in life are always going to make outcomes that force you into becoming a person you wouldn t expect to become. However, the authorial intention of Until Dawn (Here Comes the Sun), portrays the message that sometimes there are things in life you are going to want and desire but can t always get it the way you want. Although both songs depict very different perspectives of the characters projected within these lyrics, the themes that were explored within the song intertwine as both people within the songs leave their relationships on their own terms but leave a space free for their previous significant other to come back to them. This is important to note as though both songs tell two different stories about relationships, it s a kind of chilling mood that both the perspectives are sung about that implies that neither of them want the people that surround them to find somebody else to share the feeling of love with. Both of the songs tie together the themes, literal devices and authorial intention in order to strongly bring out the emotions of this song which create meaning for the listener of the ... • 25. Collection And Monitoring Of Particulate Matter Collection and monitoring of Particulate Matter: The aerodynamic properties of particles determine how they are transported in air and how they can be removed from it. These properties also govern how far they get into the air passages of the respiratory system. Additionally, they provide information on the chemical composition and the sources of particles. Particles have irregular shapes and their aerodynamic behaviour is expressed in terms of the diameter of an idealised sphere. The sampling and description of particles is based on this aerodynamic diameter, which is usually simply referred to as particle size . Particles having the same aerodynamic diameter may have different dimensions and shapes. Some airborne particles are over 10,000 times bigger than others in terms of aerodynamic diameter. Based on size, particulate matter is often divided into two main groups: o The coarse fraction contains the larger particles with a size ranging from 2.5 to 10 Вµm (PM10 PM2.5). o The fine fraction contains the smaller ones with a size up to 2.5 Вµm (PM2.5). The particles in the fine fraction which are smaller than 0.1 Вµm are called ultrafine particles. Most of the total mass of airborne particulate matter is usually made up of fine particles ranging from 0.1 to 2.5 Вµm. Ultrafine particles often contribute only a few percent to the total mass, though they are the most numerous, representing over 90% of the number of particles. As the United States faced two world wars in less than fifty years, the American government is obligated to create military weapons and equipment from an armament specialized industry, not from other industries. American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well. But now we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense; we have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions (Ravitch 537). With the government investing millions to billions of dollars in armament industries, these industries create and innovate various equipment, weapons, and technology for the military to employ in their duty defending the country from outside threats. As the fear of communism continued to spread across the country, the American government invested billions of dollars in wars against communist regimes. Furthermore, missile forces expanded even further. Some people may argue the American government exploited the Red Scare to enhance patriotism, national unity, and authority. However, there is no evidence to back up this claim since it is a conspiracy theory based on intuition. The Arms Race during the Cold Waris an example of the American government compelled to employ numerous weapons and technology to demonstrate the strength of their military. With the Soviets continuing to send satellites such as Sputnik and develop their own versions of the Atomic and Hydrogen bombs, the Americans employed initiatives such as the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) to counter the Soviet threats. One example of Samson breaking the Nazarite vow is touching the dead carcass of a lion in Judges 14:9. Jesus on the other hand fulfilled his prophecy in full. What is important in relation to these theological claims in the councils is the take away from each. They each bring a new idea, and tradition, into the next time period. While they still continue to have multiple councils, we see the adapting and changing of each because of how the Church s themselves operate. The councils bring forth lessons to be learned with regards to valuable information that is put toward the idea and culture of orthodoxy. The 3rd Council in Ephesus focuses on Cyril and Nestorius in relation to Theotokos (Cyril bearer of God) and Christotokos (Nestorius Christ bearer). The 4th council in Chalcedon... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cyril and Nestorius in the third council introduce the way that politics played into the councils and how the outcome would influence orthodoxy. We see this by looking at how both Cyril and Nestorius wrote to Pope Celestine, while only Cyril wrote in Latin, which made it easier for the Pope himself to read more promptly, while Nestorius s was pushed to the side to later be translated. This was another strike for Nestorius, and it did not help that he was seen as having a similar character to those who believed in Pelagianism. This is where we note imperialism being woven into the making of orthodoxy by the powerful bishops and leaders in Christianity by using the councils to enforce basic structures. They would implement these through their bishops, and teachings based Christ s life, and on the principles based out of successful councils. Bishops themselves became the hierarchy in particular churches, and would soon lead to different adaptations based on individual Churches such as papa and pharaohs (Acts of Council of Chalcedon, p.12). These same bishops and other sees would later cause rivalry among various issues (Acts of Council of Chalcedon, p.16). In any hierarchy, we see favoritism and personal views conflicting with the roles given. The late antiquity time frame was no different in relation to personal views on subjects, individuals, and how those politics played into the role of imperialism. This therefore played into the idea of favorites in the world of imperial politics of this period. We see how this was intertwined within politics based upon the end conclusions of the third and forth councils. Such decisions from these councils lead to hatred of either Cyril, or of Nestorius. This lead to Antiochene bishops, who were not yet ready to follow Cyrillian Christology, to therefore objected the teachings while sticking to their previous teachings from Nestorius ... • 35. Social Expectations In To Kill A Mockingbird A society will often dictate what is expected of citizens through the unspoken social expectations of the community. These expectations set by society often lead to inequalities, in terms of power and inclusion, which can be seen through Maycomb s court system and Atticus s statements of Maycomb s social expectations. In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee, the conflict between social expectations and inclusion in society stems from the racism and sexism found in the community of Maycomb. This demonstrates that to achieve equality in a community, social expectations that are set by the public cannot limit or restrain a specific set of people in terms of power or inclusion in society. In Maycomb s society, the social expectation of white men having more power than black men illustrates the inequality the community faced when racism is added to social expectations. While Atticus is talking to Jem about how the court system works, he states, In our courts, when it s a white man s word against a black man s, the white man always wins (Lee 223). Atticus s statement reveals that social expectations are related to racism because it causes an inequality in power between black and white civilians. Based on the color of one s skin, it would determine the amount of power they would have in society. This tells readers that to achieve equality in a community, it is necessary for everyone, regardless of race, to have equal power in terms of voices and opinions so that all ... I thought about it, but I knew I was not going to be able to write more than five pages about her. With that in mind I decided I was going to change my topic to The United Farmer Workers Union. Changing topics was very helpful the United Farmers Workers Union was a broader topic. I could talk about Cesar Chavez, Dolores Huerta and the organization while still being on topic. The only problem was I was now a week behind. To fix this problem I planned to do research for a week and then write for the last week. Research for this topic was way easier to find than it was for Assault Shakur. I began to get a lot of research done. • 45. Overt And Covert Facial Recognition Essay Facial recognition involves the identification of individuals through the use of their facial features and, or expressions (MS, 2017). The model of facial recognition seeks to discover exactly how the brain is able to recognize facial features both consciously and unconsciously (Schweinberger Burton, 2003). The following set of experiments seeks to study overt and covert facial recognition (Schweinberger Burton, 2003). Covert facial recognition is the unconscious recognition of familiar faces (Maureen, 2016). Whereas, overt facial recognition involves conscious facial recognition (Maureen, 2016). Each study discussed above examines the model of facial recognition and its relation to overt and covert recognition. Covert facial recognition is the unconscious recognition of familiar faces (Maureen, 2016). Whereas, overt facial recognition is the conscious recognition (Maureen, 2016). There has been a vast amount of research on the topic in an attempt to discover exactly how the recognition of facial features/expressions take place in the brain and how it can be linked to certain neurological disorders. Overall, results from each study examined tend to suggest that overt and covert facial recognition share the same area of the brain. Research by Farah and colleagues did not support this idea however, they do not deny it either. Rather, they suggest the possibility of separate forms of prosopagnosia, one causing damage to both overt and covert facial recognition while the other(s) cause damage to only one of the functions. This study, however, is also much older than the others examined which could be a result of lack of information that overtime was learned by others. The majority of research suggests that damage to overt facial recognition will in time result in damage to covert facial recognition. Thus meaning if one is damaged it is only a matter of time before the other starts to suffer. However, with it not being the case one hundred percent of the time it would not be fair to assume that and ignore opposing research. There are many different ideas and findings on the subject and hopefully with time researchers will be able to learn whether or not the damage of one area guarantees the damage of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the Early Middle Ages, only Trial by Ordeal was used. This trial was based on the belief that God would save the Innocent and punish the guilty and had horrific methods, such as placing an arm in boiling water or holding an iron bar. (Tol Zagora 2014, p. 63) With the Norman Conquest in 1066, William the Conqueror introduced trial by combat (Rickards, 2012). Trial by combat was used for the nobles, where the accused would fight the accuser. William the Conqueror believed that God would protect the Innocent when the parties fought. The guilty would ve then be punished severely (Easton Saldais 2011, pp. 330, 331). With the creation of the Magna Carta in 1215 (Trueman, 2016) there were many changes to the Trial Procedures. The Magna Carta abolished Trial by Ordeal and replaced it with Trial by Jury, which involved a jury hearing a case and deciding the guilt or innocence of the accused. Many people didn t trust trial by jury, which led to a law being created in 1275 stating that if a criminal didn t choose trial by jury then they were tortured (Addison, et al. 2011).
