Odd Personality Disorders
Odd personality disorders consist of paranoid, schizoid, schizotypal personality disorders. These
disorders have symptoms similar to schizophrenia, but not as extreme. Paranoid personality disorder
is suspicious, deeply distrust others, and tend to isolate themselves. Individuals with this disorder
believe that other individuals, commonly at work, are out to get them and are working against
them. They are easy to blame others and are extremely sensitive to criticism. Causes for paranoid
personality disorder can stem from demanding and distant fathers and over controlling and rejecting
mothers. Genes may also play a factor. Treatment can include teaching anxietyreduction techniques
and skills to help improve interpersonal relationships and

The Internet And Its Impact On Society
The Internet plays a huge role in today s society. Everything in today s world revolves around
the Internet. Individuals use it to pay bills, access social media, email, etc. Most individuals do
not know that they would not be able to access any of these privileges if they did not exist. A
web server is a client/server process. It uses a specific software to fulfill a client s web page
request by finding, selecting, and forming the web page to be transmitted to the client s device.
This would be from the time that a client makes a request until they receive the information. This
paper will discuss the following subtopics: the past, present, and future of web servers, including
other competing technologies; what constitutes a web server;... Show more content on

technology to have in an organization. Speed, time, cost and security are the most important
attributes involved with a web server. Currently, the leading web servers include Apache, which is
the most widely installed web server, Microsoft s Internet Information Server (IIS) and NGNIX.
(Lingan) However, new developments in the technology field are constantly evolving. These
developments will deal with a new technology called cloud hosting. The future of web servers is
unclear. However, the new trend under discussion is the technology of cloud hosting and
infrastructure. With this, the cloud infrastructure will become the default web server environment.
This means that there will be a move towards open source platform services, a greater focus on
small businesses, developers, and individuals, developers will be the center of future IT
departments, and growth will outpace the traditional market. (Uretsky)

Three Presidential Elections
Presidential elections have and continue to be a time where Americans begin to pay attention to
politics a little more in depth, they look into the issues which burden America, and then decide
which candidate, in their views would fix and continue to grow the policies and programs which
are working to America s advantage. Presidential electionshave and will continue to grow and
change, but the past three presidential elections have seen many changes and have been very
different just in the course of 12 years. Although a lot has changed there are some major things that

Cultural Relevance, Understanding And Education
Cultural relevance, understanding and education are the key areas that modern museums seem to
be addressing seriously. As a public institution a museum must consider its role in society, the way
culture is represented and displayed and most of all, how interpretation affects those not of museum
training backgrounds, for example a visitor or patron. Some would argue that art, is an expression
of a cultureand its political and economic values (Hein 2006), while others would suggest that is
the artifacts of long lost peoples and cultures that have the most worth to the public (Sabeti 2015).
The mixture of these two mediums seems like an obvious step in achieving reinterpretation,
presenting political messages, and displaying the importance ... Show more content on

(Stam 1993). One way this may be interpreted is that a shift towards a more open, interactive style
of museum exhibition should be the starting point of exhibition planning and execution.
The discussions and in some cases successful installations of eco museums for example, represent
the ever shifting and changing people and cultures, instead of the static and non changed ancient
cultural heritage of forgotten civilizations and their material culture. The eco museum provides no
exclusion of peoples or histories. With some limited success in exposing the cultures of ever
changing people and customs to a larger audience in eco museums, other historical institutions have
frankly missed the mark. The new museology started with the intention of introducing a new
philosophy around how museums function and a changed relationships between museums and their
societies and communities (McCall and Gray 2014).
The framework suggested in the museology based on how a new function of museums can be
achieved, really leaves one to ponder just how effective the application of literature surrounding
these ideas can actually be when put into practice. There is no clear checklist of steps to achieve
such a change in the framework and context of a museum as an educational institution, as a cultural
reference or as an open public forum, so the missing re interpretation can sometimes be taken on by

Who Is Ellen A Hero
Who actually sees a celebrity as a hero? In today s world many celebrities are seen as self
absorbed, don t care about anything other than their appearance or gaining more wealth and fame.
While on the other hand, I see that there are actually many celebrities, who see passed the same
and fortune and believe in doing good in society. Showing us the heroic side to the fame and
money. One person who comes to mind when I think of these qualities is Ellen DeGeneres. She
may not be seen as your ordinary hero, but to me she is, showing off her wonderful traits of being
thoughtful, caring, and charitable.
All the celebrities seem to be on the tabloids for all the wrong reasons. Though Ellen has proved

External costs of intercity truck freight transportation
David J. Forkenbrock *
Public Policy Center, The University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA 52242, USA
Abstract
From a societal perspective, it is desirable for all transportation users to pay their full social
(private and external) costs. We estimate four general types of external costs for intercity freight
trucking and compare them with the private costs incurred by carriers. Estimated external costs
include: accidents (fatalities, injuries, and property damage); emissions (air pollution and
greenhouse gases); noise; and unrecovered costs associated with the provision, operation, and
maintenance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
SigniВ®cant external costs arise from transportation, although accurate estimates of their
magnitudes have been diВЃcult to obtain. In this article we assemble best available estimates of
external costs due to freight truck operations between cities (i.e. in rural areas). To place these
costs in a useful context, we compare them with corresponding private costs, which are the market
costs directly faced by freight carriers.
This article does not address the issue of external beneВ®ts arising through the transportation of
freight. Most transportation economists doubt the existence of signiВ®cant external beneВ®ts
from the provision of transportation services (e.g. Rothengatter, 1994; Verhoef, 1994, p. 278).
Markets exist for these services, such that cost savings due to economies of scale or density may
be retained by carriers, passed on to shippers, or ultimately passed on to В®nal consumers of the
goods that are shipped.
As Greene and Jones (1997, p. 9) observe, some economists believe that external beneВ®ts can
arise from improvements to transportation systems (see, for example, Willeke, 1994). An
improvement may reduce the costs of В®rms operations, thus contributing to increased
competitiveness and more output. If scale economies exist, the unit cost of production may drop.
Depending on the market structure, beneВ®ciaries of this cost reduction may be the producing

Gun Hill Street Essay
The Bronx has been changing over the years as realtors and big corporations set foot in New
York City. The Bronx has always been seen as a bad borough because of history of crime rate,
poverty, and aggressiveness towards other people in the past, but it has slowly been shifting
towards a positive change. Gun Hill Road was one of the neighborhoods in the Bronx that was
usually known as a ghetto area. This is because of the infamous reputation of the projects and areas
around them having higher than usual crimerates. Gun Hill Road/White Plains has had a rough
past for a long time, but over time it has actually been improving a lot. Not too long ago there was
a shooting that involved gang members fighting over turf, but NYTimes reports that It is not a

Cause And Effect Essay About Chicago
Downtown Chicago is the pride of Chicago, a mask of beauty and culture. Magnificent views,
amazing sky scrapers, wonderful land, the beautiful lake front and peaceful people are how most
people who visit Downtown Chicago from a different location would probably describe Chicago.
This is a place where children between the ages of thirteen through eighteen grow to discover their
potential being and most likely get a sneak peek on how bright their future will be. However, we
sometimes forget to mention how Chicagois one of the most devastating cities in the world today
due to the crimes that occur in the streets of Chicago, mostly taking place on the Westside and
Southside of Chicago every day. As we all know, Chicago was eventually named Chiraq... Show

The reason why I say this is because one of the key things I feel that makes Chicago so violent,
is because most children and teenager s brains are not taught well that violence is not the way
out to whatever situation they have going on in their lives. According to United States
Department of Justice, Facts about Children and Violence, Children exposed to violence are
also at a higher risk of engaging in criminal behavior later in life becoming part of a cycle of
violence. Whatever they have experienced or been taught is how they will react to any situation
which may just be violence or drugs and alcohol. That is why the murder rate from teenagers is
so high because they feel the beats and lyrics in some of the music that they listen to and react
how certain artists portray themselves and others in their songs. They probably feel as though
this gives them the power to do anything they want to do far as killing people or selling drugs,
much more because a lot of music artists today only talks about violence in their songs. While
talking to children and a few camp counselor I learned that children feel intimidated when adults
see them and don t speak so one of the things adults can do to stand up to help the environment is
to engage more with one another and children to make the kids feel safe rather than on edge which
can lead to

Examples Of Judgement In Othello
Poor judgement can often be forgiven, but in Shakespeare s Othello, it proves to be fatal. Othello
is the main character, he is noble and gentle, but also gullible and insecure. He marries a white
woman named Desdemona, and is looked down on by Venetian society, to which he is their
general. Iago is Othellos standard bearer and he is the most disloyal and selfish character in
Othello, who plots to destroy Othello. Othello can t see past Iagos feigned loyalty, thus he puts all of
his trust in him. He doesn t suspect anything when Iago makes lies about Desdemonas faithfulness.

Some would say jealousy is his tragic flaw, but that comes as a result of Iago much later in the
play. Despite being a well spoken military leader, he pays very little attention to what Iago is
actually doing. Upon plotting on how to go about stealing Cassio s position as well destroying
Othello at the same time, Iago quotes The Moor is of a free and open nature that thinks men
honest that but seem to be so; and will as tenderly be led by th nose as asses are (Act 1:3, 390
393) summarizing Othello s poor sense of judgement. Othello is a person who will put his trust
in someone who appears honest, thus Iago uses this to his advantage. This is much like how he
put his trust into Cassio, for he is one of the few who are truly loyal to the moor. He refers to
Iago as honest Iago numerous times, and When used by Othello it signifies his own simplicity
and capacity for being fooled (Abernethy, 337). When Iago feigns uneasiness about Desdemona
and Cassio, Othello is convinced there s something he s hiding and quotes Such things in a false
disloyal knave are tricks of custom, but in a man that s just they are close delations, working
from the heart, that passion cannot rule (Act 3:3, 124 127). Completely fooled by Iago, he
considers him his closest and more loyal friend, when really he is the disloyal knave he didn t see
him to be. Nearing the end of the play, Iago is asked by Emilia whether he told Othello

The As A Puppet Of The Enemy Occupying His Country Essay
The word quisling is a term coined after the leader, Vidkun Quisling. The definition, a traitor who
serves as the puppet of the enemy occupying his country, (Sorel) came to be after Quisling found
himself in a situation leading for his homeland, although assisting the invading country. The
metaphor in where he acts similar to a puppet in favor of the nemesis plays a big role in how the
word came to be. On top of acting as a puppet, his profound government party also took after the
name as a puppet government. Today, it is said that his name is synonymous with the word, traitor.
Quisling is the epitome of betrayal among the citizens during World War II.
To begin, Vidkun Abraham Lauritz Jonsson Quisling was born on July 18th, 1887 in Fyresdal,
Norway. During his early years, he showed an interest towards math. While his premature
intelligence developed in these fields as a prodigy child, his parents sought his future life in the
military. When he became older and enrolled in a military academy, he demonstrated his strong
background in the studies. Quisling graduated with the highest honors and rankings in history for
the academy. Little did he know that this military background would help anticipate towards his
power, leading to the cutthroat of his name. Shortly after graduating, he joined the military, serving
as an attache in the Soviet Union and Finland from 1918 to 1921. During his time in the Soviet

Analysis Of No Firemen At Ground Zero By Michael Burke
In the article No Firemen at Ground Zero This 9/11? , Michael Burke uses multiple techniques to
persuade his audience of the injustice committed against the first responders of 9/11 by excluding
them from the 10 year anniversary at Ground Zero. Burke works towards the goal of having first
responders be included in the memorial at Ground Zero, after Mayor Bloomberg claims there isn t
enough room. Throughout the piece, Burke targets his argument at the influential readers of the
Wall Street Journal in New York to get them to use their influence to put pressure on Bloomberg to

As Burke eventually does argue that first responders should be included in the memorial, he
makes sure to point out that denying them the privilege of coming to the memorial would deny
the first responders their due and proper honor .This would not be as impactful if Burke would
not have started his piece by emphasizing the horrors that the first responders voluntarily walked
into. By organizing the piece the way Burke did, it allowed him to shape the reader s viewpoint
of first responders before he even began arguing his point that first responders must be honored
at Ground Zero on the ten year anniversary of 9/11. Another powerful technique that Burke uses
to persuade his audience is he uses quotes. Burke uses quotes from people who were at the scene
of 9/11 themselves. Burke quotes a woman who was descending from the 89th floor who said
When I saw the firemen I knew we would be all right. By using quotes like this, Burke shows the
emotional reinsurance that the first responders gave to the people involved in the attack. By
showing the emotional response to the first responders, it makes the reader clearly see the
importance of the presence of first responders on the scene and the impact they had on the
victims. The first responders altered the emotional atmosphere of the scene. This shows the
significant of the first responders at the scene and how discluding them from the memorial is
atrocious . Quotes worked hand

Vernon Tull is a fairly wealthy countryman who is friends with the Bundrens, often hiring the

think Tull is very benevolent, always offering help to the family and assisting them whenever they

sometimes the family refuses to acknowledge their need for succor. Tull knows the family really
does need the assistance, and does not let the family s brusqueness get in the way of his

the only one that can judge people yet is constantly criticizing the Bundrens throughout the novel

Vardaman comes to Tull and describes a relationship between Addie and a fish, Tull believes this

to Cora s characterization, the reader is better able to understand Jewel s nature because of Tull
s narrations. When Tull follows the family to the river, potentially to help them cross the

Why Is Eugenics Be Allowed
Should Eugenics Be Allowed
The definition of the word Eugenics is to improve human raze by changing the DNA and breeding
of humans, some people think that allowing Eugenics may be positive and help find a cure and
even prevent for people with diseases or syndromes, but there are more the negative consequences
of allowing eugenics than the positive consequences.
One of the reasons why Eugenics should not be allowed is because of the immorality that
represents to change the DNA of a feto and change certain mental and physical characteristics
specially without the child making a decision in weather the baby would want to change their own

In most states that meant the mentally ill or mentally deficient . Even though the law specifies
mentally ill or mentally deficient, that means that the government now has the power by law to
change people s DNA and it will start as mentally ill or mentally deficient, but the law could
spread the group of people who could be sterilized like people with cancer or a certain illness or
born blinded people or even homosexuals in very close minded countries. According to Melissa
Nicholson in The Fascinating History of Eugenics, racists and xenophobes used eugenic principles
to further their agendas. With names like the Race Betterment Foundation, activists encouraged
Congress to pass the Immigration Act of 1924 that set limitations on the number of immigrants
from inferior stock such as Southern Europe and Asia. The president who signed the act into law,
Calvin Coolidge, had once said on the issue: America should be kept American . . . . Biological
laws show that Nordics deteriorate when mixed with other races. That means that by using eugenics
to create a perfect human raze (tall, white, blond, and blue eyed people, smart and superior
physically and morally), the world will be inducing that the ones that are not in that specific
group are less worth than the ones whose genes and DNA has been scientifically modified. Even
though some people in favor in Eugenics claim that by modifying the DNA, scientists and doctors
would be able to prevent all kinds of syndromes and illness in newborn babies which will mean that
there is going to be less people with mental health issues and illness, but according to Gregory W.

How Did Marie Curie Contribute To The Modern World
A wise woman once said, I am one of those who think like Nobel, that humanity will draw more
good than evil from new discoveries (Brainy Quote). She was the first scientist to win two Nobel
Prizes, and the first to win the treasured prize in two different fields. She was the first female
professor at the University of Paris, the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, and the first in many
other major positions and organizations as a woman. This is Marie Curie. Marie Curie was, and still
is, a highly celebrated scientist and person today. Curie revolutionized the field of physics and
chemistry with her findings, but that was not the only thing she did. Through her accomplishments,
Curie empowered women by sparking the women s rights movement. This incredible woman did
all these things in life while being a loyal and dedicated wife and mother. Marie Curie was a
powerful figure who benefitted society by discovering elements radiumand polonium which is used
to help cancer treatments, opening doors for women by giving them power by being an
accomplished female scientist, and creating interest in the field of atomic physics/chemistry which

Marie and Pierre Curie both researched into radium s properties and the results implied that
radium could possibly be a cure to some diseases. From this, a new form of therapy developed:
radium therapy or Curie Therapy, as it was referred to in France (Koestler Grack Cures Cancer ).
The healing properties of radium are serviceable to the curing of diseases. Many suffered from
incurable diseases, such as types of Leukemia and Carcinoma, but radium treatment gave them hope
for a cure. Now, many diseases that were burdensome to treat in the past are of little to no
consequence due to the innovation of treatment from radium

ACL Surgery Case Study
When someone tears their ACL, their first thought goes to getting ACL surgery, or ACLR.
However, there are non surgical treatments for special populations. Those populations are young
children and older individuals. Additionally, there are alternatives to ACLR. Children with tears in
their ACL can be treated nonsurgically. Children can heal easily due to vascularization, or the
formation of bloodvessels, which plays a role in the healing process of the body. An explanation for
the discrepancy may be that minor lateral meniscus tears heal in children, which several authors
have suggested is possible because of significant vascularization, (Moksnes 2013). In a study of 41
children, 28 children underwent conservative non surgical... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Since patients typically obtain ACLR to return to their pre injury status and contain their normal
activities, there is no point in a vast majority of elderly ACL tear victims receiving it. On top of
that, the small group of elderly who are active and desire return to activities have to pass a
certain criteria for ACLR: ACL reconstruction in active patients older than 60 years with ACL
deficiency but without knee arthritis, (Toanen 2017), meaning that these active patients cannot
have knee arthritis in order for them to undergo ACLR. To put this into perspective, of persons
ages 65 or older, 49.6% [have] ever reported doctor diagnosed arthritis, (Arthritis Related
Statistics 2017). This means that about half of the population over 65 years of age can not get
ACLR. Speaking of arthritis, ACLR can cause osteoarthritis in individuals over 60 years. In a
study review, twenty seven of the included studies specifically evaluated the presence of
tibiofemoral OA in patients treated with ACL R, whereas 2 studies assessed OA in only ACL D
patients who received conservative treatment, (Toanen 2017). This is because the ACLR procedure
requires manipulating the femur and the tibia to give the ACL a stake like plantation so the ACL
can be attached. Two contiguous 5 mm tunnels inside the anatomic ACL femoral and tibial
attachment areas along their long axes, and they are expanded with a 5 Г— 10 mm dilator into

Essay about Coral Divers Resport
Coral Divers Resort Introduction Mr. Jonathan Greywell is contemplating a business decision in
which there are four realistic options. He is the owner of Coral Divers Resort, located in the
Bahamas on the island of New Providence. He caters to customers looking for a resort package
that includes diving. This case discusses a decline in revenues for the three year period of 2005
2007. His options include: selling the resort, partnering with another business, focusing on higher
margin business, or improve his current business to be more competitive. Selling Coral Divers

Another factor to consider in making this decision is whether Rascal s is worth the 30%
commission. The fees for families (i.e. more people per room, etc.) when compared to the
operation expenses keep the profit margin the same with the added benefit of a unique identity
in the market. Higher Margin Adventure Diving Adventure diving generates a higher margin
and therefore it is a good idea for Greywell to consider adding it to the mix of dive offerings.
However, it cannot be considered without weighing the risks involved. Coral Divers Resort has
an excellent reputation and careful consideration should be given as to how to protect this
intangible asset. Adventure dives would need specifically trained and experienced dive masters.
Simply training existing employees might pose an additional risk since they aren t too excited
about diving with sharks and also lack experience that might be helpful for safety issues. Within
an hour s distance away, competitors are already a part of this market and bringing in $115 per
adventure dive which is $50 above the regular dive experience. An additional $600 per week can
be earned on two days per week with an average of 6 customers each of those days. Despite
hiring or training costs and additional $31,200 in revenue can be generated, after the expenses for
shark food and the special dive suit. Perhaps more adventure dive business is possible, yet this

Dr. Louis Pasteur s Rabies Analysis
Dr. Louis Pasteur was a forward thinking individual who made numerous contributions to society
in regards to health care advancement; additionally, he was well known for his work with rabies,
and specifically, healing a child who had contracted rabies. The story in this week s reading speaks
of a radical experiment where Dr. Pasteur took the spinal cord from dogs who had died from rabies
and injected them into the child (Daempfle, 2016). Although this treatment had proven effective at
curing rabies in animals it was not proven to work on humans. With nothing to lose Dr. Pasteur
injected the untested vaccine into the child who survived the night, also, after injections for three
months the child was cured of rabies. Consequently, the child survival was groundbreaking, but how

Pasteur process was to take the spinal remains of infected animals and lessened the virality of the
rhabdovirus to almost nonexistent by dehydrating them (Louis Pasteur, 2017). Furthermore, the
dehydrated spinal cord provided a neutralized source of rabies via antibody proteins that are able
to attach to the rabies antigen (Antibody, 2017). Also, known as B lymphocytes (B cells) these
antibodies reproduce countless exact replicas that move throughout the body. This provided the
child s system with antibodies that already recognized the rhabdovirus, and allowed them to affix
and neutralize the virus. Through numerous injections, Dr. Pasteur s inactivated vaccine restrained
rabies from wreaking havoc on the child s nervous system (Louis Pasteur, 2017). Whereas, this is

The History Of Deism
Most people have either never heard of Deism or consider it to be of historical interest only. Its
roots can be traced to ancient Greece and it flourished for a while in the eighteenth century in
Britain and America, a product of the Enlightenment. Many of America s founding fathers Thomas
Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, John Adams, James Madison and the British
radical Thomas Paine were Deists.
Deism was regarded by those who espoused it, to be a personal philosophy.
Deists were not proselytizers striving to win converts which proved to be its weakness. While
evangelical religion brought large numbers into its pews throughout the nineteenth century, Deism
dwindled.
Yet despite reports to the contrary it did not disappear. Today, in the USA, Deism is resurgent and
growing, this has largely been due to the internet allowing widespread presentation and discussion
of Deist ideas. This at a time when there has been a search for alternatives to evangelical religion
and it s often equally fundamentalist counterpart, militant atheism. ... Show more content on

The symbolism between C.S. Lewis The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, the fourth book in
The Chronicles of Narnia, and the New Testament in the Bible, particularly the account of Jesus
death is not merely coincidental because The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is, in fact, an
allegory. An allegory is a story with morals in which characters, plots and settings are used as
symbols. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, by C.S. Lewis is rich with Christian symbolism
even though the allegorical nature of it is the subject of much controversy. Nonetheless, The Lion,

Mr. and Mrs. Beaver are symbolic of guardian angels since they are forever trying to help the

C. S. Lewis seems to have taken the form or Aslan as a lion for the Bible as well. See, the Lion of

Presidential Elections And Election Elections
Political elections, especially presidential elections have many variables that influence the voters
when they go to the polls. Many researchers use various methods to figure out all the possible
outcomes of the election and what the voters are looking for in a particular year. This year has
been unique because of the different personalities that the candidates own. This new diversity has
caused researchers to revise their tactics from earlier years. Also, negative political ads for this
electionyear have had some impact on voters. Furthermore, a candidate s religious affiliation will
also have an effect on different segments of the population. Finally, in previous presidential
elections, divided parties rarely won presidential elections. Will this year have the same end result?
Finally, the exact effects caused by these variables can sometimes only be determined by research
studies. These studies have to be ready to hit the core of the issue affecting the outcome.
Furthermore, the questions have to be tailored, balanced and presented the same way in all outlets.

Ancient Greek Athletics, By Stephen G. Miller Essay
Stephen G. Miller, the author of Ancient Greek Athletics and many other academic writings
lived a very astounding life. Miller spent a great portion of his life traveling between the United

professor at Berkeley and the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. Miller was
driven by Plato s love for his work; however, he faced a minor setback when he realized Plato s
language was beyond what he could understand. He then decided to change his studies to
archaeology because of his new found love for amazing indoor and outdoor work. Miller had a
unique perspective on ancient Olympic gamesbecause he directed excavations for multiple years at

ancient Greek Games and how this important subject can teach us more about our own world. He
accomplishes this goal by using the artifacts he has studied along with the history itself to guide the
audience in their journey toward appreciating Greek heritage. In this book, Miller addresses the

At the moment of birth an ant larvae is assigned their role within the colony. There are three
possible employment opportunities; an aristocrat, a worker or a soldier.
The colony is much departmentalised, which describes the basis by which jobs in an organisation
are grouped together [2] (Robbins amp; Judge, 2011). The different job divisions from work
specialisation become further departmentalised in to different functions. The worker ants have their
managers, the soldier ants have a commander General Mandible and the royal ants are overseen by
the Queen, who also oversees the rest of the colony.
In this colony, a clear chain of command can be seen. This is the unbroken line of authority that
extends from the top of the organization to the lowest echelon and clarifies who reports to
whom [3] (Robbins amp; Judge, 2011). Every order that is to be given, first has to be approved
by the Queen. This is seen, when the General wants to declare war, Colonel Cutter asks him,
Don t we need the Queen s approval to declare war? (Darnell amp; Johnson, 1998). The ant in
command of the workers, the Foreman, reports to the General if something concerning the
working ants goes wrong. An example of this is the incident, where the ant ball is dropped by Z in
the beginning of the movie, and the Foreman is called in to have a talk to the General about the
workers.

The Role Of Artillery In The Battle Of Gettysburg
The Battle of Gettysburg
Artillery has played a crucial role in many wars and battles throughout time. Specifically in the
Battle of Gettysburg, where artillery was used in all three days of battle alongside the infantry.
During this time period artillery often worked side by side with the infantry because the range of
their big guns limited them to only visible targets. Multiple types of artillery were used in this
battle, the use of artillery in the Battle of Gettysburg was what ultimately lead to a victory for the
Union and a second failed attempt to invade the North for the Confederacy.
The Battle of Gettysburg was fought between Union forces lead by Maj. Gen. George Meade

Their strategy is to hire computer experts and engineers into a centralised cyber team and use that
expertise to prevent claims.
For the SME market, Marsh has launched Cyber Smart to capture data from those signed up to

The highest percentage of capital allocation would be given to the Cyber account as rapid
technology changes means there would be lots of different types of claims which are
geographically spread and individually could be large.
Cyber is a risky class of business with a lot of uncertainty, so more capital would need to be held
by the company to support the underwriting of the product. A higher rate of return would be
needed in order to justify this in comparison with the returns available from other classes. If the
returns were at the same level as less risky classes with a lower capital allocation, A Z would write
more of the other classes.
With capital being assigned to separate business lines, it can allow performance to be better
evaluated, have better pricing of new business and allow a quantitative assessment to be done.
All the information needs to be fed into projections to indicate how much capital allocation is
needed to make the following predictions:
expenditure before trading
cost before profit generated
level of additional capital to ensure solvency
Too little capital will constrain growth and could undermine position in the market and too much
capital will increase the amount of profit required to return to investors and the product may
become uncompetitive. Any new venture is unlikely to break even in less than 2 3 years.

Importance Of Indissolubility Of Marriage

Divorce, remarriage and the Catholic Church
The Indissolubility of marriage: Still relevant today?
I was born and raised in a conservative catholic family. If I say today that I am more liberal as far
as the Catholic doctrine is concerned my mother will probably have a heart attack. My parents have
always strongly believed in the Catholic laws and traditions. Indissolubility of marriage was one of
the principles I was raised to respect and obey. The Catholic canon law (Can. 1056) stipulates
that, the essential properties of marriage are unity and indissolubility, which in Christian
marriage obtain a special firmness by reason of the sacrament . This means that, one s a man and
a woman get married, there is no possibility to get divorced and worst of all, and they are banned
from taking the communion at the mass. I was raised to believe in this solely. Growing up, I met
incredible people and I learned so much about life. My strong believe in the indissolubility of
marriage started dwindling. With time, I started questioning myself. Is it right for the Catholic
Church to keep the remarried or divorced couples from taking the communion? Maintaining this
law on the indissolubility of marriage, the Catholic Church does not only force couples to switch to
other religions, but it also does not respect and honor its creed which forgiveness and love.
Real life is far from what the church teaches us. The Catholic Church

The Impact of Chinese Culture on Its Asian Neighbors
The impact of Chinese culture on its Asian neighbors
China is today the third largest economy of the globe, with immense prospects for growth. This
position grants the country a vast power within the global arena. Still, aside from its current
economic strength, China is notable at the level of its cultural importance. In this setting, the
Chinese culture is significant not only at its individual level, but also at the level of the influences it
has manifested upon its neighboring countries at political, historical or cultural stances (McKay,
Hill, Buckler, Ebrey and Beck, 2006).
At a general level, the cultural impacts of China on the Asian states have manifested in a positive
manner and they have been linked with the rapid and responsible evolution of the country. This in
turn has materialized in opportunities for the neighboring countries as well. A most important
aspect is revealed at the level of community building, as the community is perceived as a pivotal
social structure in China. This perception has led to the responsible growth and development of
communities in other Asian states.
In the future, the influence of China is expected to further increase, with caution needing to be
exercised at the level of the reaction of the Chinese population towards the intensifying relationships
between their country and its neighbors (Xiaoming, 2006).
A more specific impact of the Chinese culture is revealed at the level of Japan, which has adopted
several traits and has

Political Philosophy Is The Issue Of Political Obligation
One of the central issues in political philosophy is the issue of political obligation. This concerns
the presence, the nature and especially the foundation of a particular relationship between
government and its citizens. Philosophical Anarchism challenges this relationship. In this endeavor
it differs from the position of Political Anarchism, which has as its main goal not only the moral
devaluation but also the decline of the state. Conversely, the main method of philosophical
anarchism is the rejection of theories that support the political task without necessarily to adopt the
position that the state is inevitably evil and it must be abolished. The political authority concerns a
grid of exclusive rights on the social life, such as how... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main concern of anarchism is that the political limitations are such that create problems as it
has to do with the individual freedom and fulfillment. On the one hand, we find our lives to be
controlled by political institutions and we take this power for granted. On the other, usually in
our lives we want to decide ourselves about major issues that affect us, to be able to make
choices and act freely, without the others to decide for us. Then why in the case of the state we
consider the control and authority of others over us for granted? The answer is that the states
were created in order to serve their citizens. They are good for our lives, destined to make easier
and fair the coexistence between us. The states form a scheme that is created by man himself to
ameliorate his life. Therefore, they are his choice, a product of the very freedom of man, of his
will to govern himself. But this seems to give birth to a paradox; man decided to govern himself
because he does not want to be governed. Substantially the paradox is not a paradox. It is only
apparently paradoxical. This is because the restrictions are not incompatible with freedom when
they derive from it. The appearance of the paradox reflects the idea that the best way to justify the
authority and the limitations over people is to demonstrate that

Rational Choice Theory Of Criminal Behavior Essay
People chose all behavior and including all criminal behavior. Which in this case the choices that
criminals make brings them pleasure and adrenaline. Criminal choices can be controlled by fear of
punishment, but not all the time. The crime will be limited when the benefits are reduced and the
costs increase. Rational choice theory is a perspective that holds criminality in the result of
conscious choice. Not to mention, that it is predicted that individuals choose to commit crimewhen
the benefits outweigh the costs of disobeying the law. In the rational choice theory, individuals are
seen as motivated offenders by their needs, wants and goals that express their preferences. This
theory has been applied to a wide of range in crime, such as robbery, drug use, vandalism, and
white collar crime. Furthermore, rational choice theory had a revival in sociologyin the early 1960s,
under the heading of exchange theory, and by the end of the decade was having a renewed
influence in criminology, first as control theory and later as routine activities theory.
Rational choice theory addresses, criminal behavior in various ways. In addition, this theory also
falls short in many places. I have decided to work on the rational theory because it is a common
theory that I see on a day to day base. I feel that anyone who breaks the law should be held
responsible and not be rewarded with such a low punishment. If our criminal justice system
enforces stricter punishments than those who are

Week 6 Case Analysis
MKTG 301
1. Harris told Houston that he needed a couple of weeks to think about his proposal. How should
Houston handle this?
Harris is using what is called a time objection also known as stalling technique. In this particular
case study Harris already has the need fulfilled by a different supplier and while they have had a
few late deliveries Harris need to determine if it worth going through all of the work to get set up
a new vendor. The time objection is often one of the hardest objections to gauge because it can
mean many different things. In certain cases changing product can be a major process and can be
very time consuming. With such a major change it is understandable that buyers want to take ...

After uncovering any further objections and gaining an understanding of where Harris sits,
Houston could begin to press and push for a sense of urgency. If Harris did not have any doubts
there would be no need for a two week period to think. Pushing can be a sensitive task because if
Houston pushes too hard he could destroy his relationship and his chance of doing business with
the buyer. If all else fails and the buyer insists on taking time to think Houston should establish a
firm follow up appointment as soon as possible.
3. What techniques should Houston have used to overcome the fore stalling tactic?
There are certain times in which it is impossible to prevent forestalling, but there are things a sales
person can do to try and prevent objections. Utilizing the LAARC method gives is a good step in
combating resistance and objections. The LAARC methods uses five steps to avoid objections
which are to listen, acknowledge, assess, respond and confirm. Listening is always the most
important part of sales. Buyer will often tell you exactly what they are looking for if you keep
you mouth shut and listen. Active listening shows respect as well as arms a sales person will
exactly what the buyer is looking for. Part of active listening is acknowledging what a buyer is
saying. If you acknowledge that it proves that not only are you listening but you are understanding.

Characteristics Of Hard Discount
I. Hard discount model
a.Creation and development of this model in Germany
Firstly, I think that it is necessary to define what hard discount is to better understand how this
model works and how it has changed through the time. Hard discount store is a store that sells
mainly food in free service and this business model is also characterized by its low prices, small
retail space and a limited assortment of products. We can find some brands in hard discounters, but
it represents a minority. The reduced staff and the versatility of this one is another characteristic of
this business model.
Hard discount found its origins in Germany at the end of the 40s. Launched by the Albrecht
brothers, founders of Aldi, this new way of consuming is a success in Germany since the late 60s
and for the rest of Europe in the 80s. This revolution has known success in Germany with brands
such as Norma, Aldi and Lidl. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is a way of life in Germany. There is no the cultures of food or gastronomy like in France, so it s
not a problem to buy discount products in Germany, at the contrary.
Today, there are 2 giants of the discount model in the world: Aldi Lidl. The international success
of hard discount model was clearly in the 90s. In 2009, the 2 Germans companies were in the top
10 global grocery retailers, so it is significant of the success of this revolution.
Hard discount needs a special organization. This business model has to respect some rules, such as
prices below average, few marketing, few decoration, a small staff, a maximum of 800 product
references and simple rays.
Who has never felt this feeling of extreme simplicity when entering in a discounter? Consumers can
clearly identify when he is in a discounter. All these characteristics can be found in each brandof

The Hybrid Electric Engine Concept
This summer, I had the opportunity to intern at Pratt Whitney Engines, a subsidiary of United
Technologies Corporation, in East Hartford, CT. Pratt Whitney is one of the largest aircraft
engine makers, for both commercial and military aircraft in the world, with over 31,000
employees that support more than 11,000 customers around the world. Within Pratt Whitney, there
are several areas of operation. I worked in their Propulsion Systems Analysis in the vehicle
systems analysis group. While working at Pratt Whitney I had the opportunity to work on quite a
few projects, including looking at a hybrid electric engine concept, which was my main project for
the semester. The hybrid electric engine concept was one of several engine concepts that were
discussed in the NASA Subsonic Ultra Green Aircraft Research, otherwise known as SUGAR,
research papers. NASA partnered with Boeingto identify possible aircraft and engine concepts
that would meet certain performance, noise, and emission standards. NASA expected that these
concepts would be possible between 2030 and 2045. In the Phase 1 report, released in 2011, they
looked into five aircraft concepts ranging from a 2008 baseline, which was a Boeing 737aircraft, to
a gas turbine battery concept and hybrid wing aircraft. In NASA s Phase 2 SUGAR report,
released in 2012, they updated some information of the aircraft and engine concepts used in the
Phase 1 report along with adding new aircraft and engine concepts. In all of

Antibiotics In The 1940 s
Antibiotics have played an essential role in the fight against diseases and infections since the 1940
s. Antibiotics are a leading cause for the rise of global average life expectancy in the 20th and 21st
century. They have greatly reduced illnesses and deaths due to diseases. With the introductions of
antibiotics in the 1940 s, like penicillininto clinical practice, formally deadly illnesses became
immediately curable and saved thousands of lives (Yim 2006). Antibiotic use has been beneficial
and when prescribed and taken correctly their effects on patients are exceedingly valuable.
However, because these drugs have been used so widely and for such a long period of time the

Little research has been done on human superbugs but even less on antibiotic resistance in animals
and whether the bacteria can be passed on to humans (Press Release 1998). The problem with the
growing number of bacteria that are resistance to available antibiotics, is that there are very few
new antibiotics in development. The financial costs of creating newer and stronger antibiotics are
exceedingly high. Pharmaceutical manufactures either don t have the money or refuse to because
of the small amount of profit they will make from these one off drugs. Research institutes are
another option for new antibiotics but also don t have the sufficient financial support (Kesselheim
2010). Antibiotic resistant patients require extensive care and there are rare cases that they need
complete isolation. The cost of this intensive care for long periods of time is phenomenal. With
growing rates of resistance cases more isolation units are going to be in need which will cost
governments hundreds, even thousands of dollars to provide (Lansing 2011). The economic
factors of antibiotic resistance for developing world countries are worrying. Some counties health
systems have no where near enough financial support or staff members to help the number of
superbug patients (Kaier 2011). The economic implications of the growing rates of superbug cases
is concerning. Globally there is very

  • 3. The Internet And Its Impact On Society The Internet plays a huge role in today s society. Everything in today s world revolves around the Internet. Individuals use it to pay bills, access social media, email, etc. Most individuals do not know that they would not be able to access any of these privileges if they did not exist. A web server is a client/server process. It uses a specific software to fulfill a client s web page request by finding, selecting, and forming the web page to be transmitted to the client s device. This would be from the time that a client makes a request until they receive the information. This paper will discuss the following subtopics: the past, present, and future of web servers, including other competing technologies; what constitutes a web server;... Currently, the leading web servers include Apache, which is the most widely installed web server, Microsoft s Internet Information Server (IIS) and NGNIX. (Lingan) However, new developments in the technology field are constantly evolving. These developments will deal with a new technology called cloud hosting. The future of web servers is unclear. However, the new trend under discussion is the technology of cloud hosting and infrastructure. With this, the cloud infrastructure will become the default web server environment. This means that there will be a move towards open source platform services, a greater focus on small businesses, developers, and individuals, developers will be the center of future IT departments, and growth will outpace the traditional market. • 5. Cultural Relevance, Understanding And Education Cultural relevance, understanding and education are the key areas that modern museums seem to be addressing seriously. As a public institution a museum must consider its role in society, the way culture is represented and displayed and most of all, how interpretation affects those not of museum training backgrounds, for example a visitor or patron. Some would argue that art, is an expression of a cultureand its political and economic values (Hein 2006), while others would suggest that is the artifacts of long lost peoples and cultures that have the most worth to the public (Sabeti 2015). The mixture of these two mediums seems like an obvious step in achieving reinterpretation, presenting political messages, and displaying the importance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (Stam 1993). One way this may be interpreted is that a shift towards a more open, interactive style of museum exhibition should be the starting point of exhibition planning and execution. The discussions and in some cases successful installations of eco museums for example, represent the ever shifting and changing people and cultures, instead of the static and non changed ancient cultural heritage of forgotten civilizations and their material culture. The eco museum provides no exclusion of peoples or histories. With some limited success in exposing the cultures of ever changing people and customs to a larger audience in eco museums, other historical institutions have frankly missed the mark. The new museology started with the intention of introducing a new philosophy around how museums function and a changed relationships between museums and their societies and communities (McCall and Gray 2014). The framework suggested in the museology based on how a new function of museums can be achieved, really leaves one to ponder just how effective the application of literature surrounding these ideas can actually be when put into practice. There is no clear checklist of steps to achieve such a change in the framework and context of a museum as an educational institution, as a cultural reference or as an open public forum, so the missing re interpretation can sometimes be taken on by an ... While on the other hand, I see that there are actually many celebrities, who see passed the same and fortune and believe in doing good in society. Showing us the heroic side to the fame and money. One person who comes to mind when I think of these qualities is Ellen DeGeneres. External costs of intercity truck freight transportation Transportation Research Part A 33 (1999) 505В±526 www.elsevier.com/locate/tra External costs of intercity truck freight transportation David J. Forkenbrock * Public Policy Center, The University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA 52242, USA Abstract From a societal perspective, it is desirable for all transportation users to pay their full social (private and external) costs. We estimate four general types of external costs for intercity freight trucking and compare them with the private costs incurred by carriers. Estimated external costs include: accidents (fatalities, injuries, and property damage); emissions (air pollution and greenhouse gases); noise; and unrecovered costs associated with the provision, operation, and maintenance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... SigniВ®cant external costs arise from transportation, although accurate estimates of their magnitudes have been diВЃcult to obtain. In this article we assemble best available estimates of external costs due to freight truck operations between cities (i.e. in rural areas). To place these costs in a useful context, we compare them with corresponding private costs, which are the market costs directly faced by freight carriers. This article does not address the issue of external beneВ®ts arising through the transportation of freight. Most transportation economists doubt the existence of signiВ®cant external beneВ®ts from the provision of transportation services (e.g. Rothengatter, 1994; Verhoef, 1994, p. 278). Markets exist for these services, such that cost savings due to economies of scale or density may be retained by carriers, passed on to shippers, or ultimately passed on to В®nal consumers of the goods that are shipped. As Greene and Jones (1997, p. 9) observe, some economists believe that external beneВ®ts can arise from improvements to transportation systems (see, for example, Willeke, 1994). An improvement may reduce the costs of В®rms operations, thus contributing to increased competitiveness and more output. If scale economies exist, the unit cost of production may drop. Depending on the market structure, beneВ®ciaries of this cost reduction may be the producing В®rm or its ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Gun Hill Road was one of the neighborhoods in the Bronx that was usually known as a ghetto area. This is because of the infamous reputation of the projects and areas around them having higher than usual crimerates. Gun Hill Road/White Plains has had a rough past for a long time, but over time it has actually been improving a lot. The reason why I say this is because one of the key things I feel that makes Chicago so violent, is because most children and teenager s brains are not taught well that violence is not the way out to whatever situation they have going on in their lives. According to United States Department of Justice, Facts about Children and Violence, Children exposed to violence are also at a higher risk of engaging in criminal behavior later in life becoming part of a cycle of violence. Whatever they have experienced or been taught is how they will react to any situation which may just be violence or drugs and alcohol. That is why the murder rate from teenagers is so high because they feel the beats and lyrics in some of the music that they listen to and react how certain artists portray themselves and others in their songs. They probably feel as though this gives them the power to do anything they want to do far as killing people or selling drugs, much more because a lot of music artists today only talks about violence in their songs. While talking to children and a few camp counselor I learned that children feel intimidated when adults see them and don t speak so one of the things adults can do to stand up to help the environment is to engage more with one another and children to make the kids feel safe rather than on edge which can lead to ... The definition, a traitor who serves as the puppet of the enemy occupying his country, (Sorel) came to be after Quisling found himself in a situation leading for his homeland, although assisting the invading country. The metaphor in where he acts similar to a puppet in favor of the nemesis plays a big role in how the word came to be. On top of acting as a puppet, his profound government party also took after the name as a puppet government. Today, it is said that his name is synonymous with the word, traitor. Another powerful technique that Burke uses to persuade his audience is he uses quotes. Burke uses quotes from people who were at the scene of 9/11 themselves. Burke quotes a woman who was descending from the 89th floor who said When I saw the firemen I knew we would be all right. By using quotes like this, Burke shows the emotional reinsurance that the first responders gave to the people involved in the attack. By showing the emotional response to the first responders, it makes the reader clearly see the importance of the presence of first responders on the scene and the impact they had on the victims. The first responders altered the emotional atmosphere of the scene. This shows the significant of the first responders at the scene and how discluding them from the memorial is atrocious . Quotes worked hand ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He is characterized as a helpful, kind man. Some characters think Tull is very benevolent, always offering help to the family and assisting them whenever they are in trouble, or in a state of distress. The family, however, is not always appreciative, as sometimes the family refuses to acknowledge their need for succor. Tull knows the family really does need the assistance, and does not let the family s brusqueness get in the way of his facilitation. Tull is important in the novel because of Tull s caring nature towards the Bundren children and his revelation of the novel s themes. When Tull narrates a section of... When Tull and Cora are talking about the incident at the river, and how Cash almost drowned, Cora says the log was brought thereby God s will as punishment for Anse s lack of fathering ability. The reader, through Tull, can see Cora s hypocritical nature, as Cora repeats that God is the only one that can judge people yet is constantly criticizing the Bundrens throughout the novel (Faulkner). Tull, too, is hypocritical, because he uses religion to pass judgment on Anse. When Vardaman comes to Tull and describes a relationship between Addie and a fish, Tull believes this is nonsense, and blames Anse, like Cora, for being an incompetent father (Faulkner). In addition to Cora s characterization, the reader is better able to understand Jewel s nature because of Tull s narrations. When Tull follows the family to the river, potentially to help them cross the dangerous waters, Jewel is furious with the Tull s offer to help. This shows Jewel s independence as a strong individual, and foreshadows a time later in the novel where Jewel will again show his independence. This foreshadowing comes to fulfillment when Jewel absconds in order to avoid the sale of his beloved horse. One of the reasons why Eugenics should not be allowed is because of the immorality that represents to change the DNA of a feto and change certain mental and physical characteristics specially without the child making a decision in weather the baby would want to change their own DNA, it will remove the choice of the people to make their own decisions, and even though eugenics ... According to Melissa Nicholson in The Fascinating History of Eugenics, racists and xenophobes used eugenic principles to further their agendas. With names like the Race Betterment Foundation, activists encouraged Congress to pass the Immigration Act of 1924 that set limitations on the number of immigrants from inferior stock such as Southern Europe and Asia. The president who signed the act into law, Calvin Coolidge, had once said on the issue: America should be kept American . . . . Biological laws show that Nordics deteriorate when mixed with other races. The colony is much departmentalised, which describes the basis by which jobs in an organisation are grouped together [2] (Robbins amp; Judge, 2011). The different job divisions from work specialisation become further departmentalised in to different functions. The worker ants have their managers, the soldier ants have a commander General Mandible and the royal ants are overseen by the Queen, who also oversees the rest of the colony. In this colony, a clear chain of command can be seen. This is the unbroken line of authority that extends from the top of the organization to the lowest echelon and clarifies who reports to whom [3] (Robbins amp; Judge, 2011). Every order that is to be given, first has to be approved by the Queen. This is seen, when the General wants to declare war, Colonel Cutter asks him, Don t we need the Queen s approval to declare war? (Darnell amp; Johnson, 1998). The ant in command of the workers, the Foreman, reports to the General if something concerning the working ants goes wrong. An example of this is the incident, where the ant ball is dropped by Z in the beginning of the movie, and the Foreman is called in to have a talk to the General about the workers. A wide span of control is portrayed by the Antz colony. This means that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. The Role Of Artillery In The Battle Of Gettysburg The Battle of Gettysburg Artillery has played a crucial role in many wars and battles throughout time. Specifically in the Battle of Gettysburg, where artillery was used in all three days of battle alongside the infantry. During this time period artillery often worked side by side with the infantry because the range of their big guns limited them to only visible targets. Multiple types of artillery were used in this battle, the use of artillery in the Battle of Gettysburg was what ultimately lead to a victory for the Union and a second failed attempt to invade the North for the Confederacy. The Battle of Gettysburg was fought between Union forces lead by Maj. Gen. George Meade (Army of Potomac) and the Confederates lead by Gen. Robert E. Lee (Army of Northern Virginia). Importance Of Indissolubility Of Marriage Name: Michelle Kemdjo Ghomsi Instructor: Padmaja Challakere Divorce, remarriage and the Catholic Church The Indissolubility of marriage: Still relevant today? I was born and raised in a conservative catholic family. If I say today that I am more liberal as far as the Catholic doctrine is concerned my mother will probably have a heart attack. My parents have always strongly believed in the Catholic laws and traditions. Indissolubility of marriage was one of the principles I was raised to respect and obey. The Catholic canon law (Can. 1056) stipulates that, the essential properties of marriage are unity and indissolubility, which in Christian marriage obtain a special firmness by reason of the sacrament . This means that, one s a man and a woman get married, there is no possibility to get divorced and worst of all, and they are banned from taking the communion at the mass. I was raised to believe in this solely. Growing up, I met incredible people and I learned so much about life. My strong believe in the indissolubility of marriage started dwindling. With time, I started questioning myself. Is it right for the Catholic Church to keep the remarried or divorced couples from taking the communion? Maintaining this law on the indissolubility of marriage, the Catholic Church does not only force couples to switch to other religions, but it also does not respect and honor its creed which forgiveness and love. The Impact of Chinese Culture on Its Asian Neighbors The impact of Chinese culture on its Asian neighbors China is today the third largest economy of the globe, with immense prospects for growth. This position grants the country a vast power within the global arena. Still, aside from its current economic strength, China is notable at the level of its cultural importance. In this setting, the Chinese culture is significant not only at its individual level, but also at the level of the influences it has manifested upon its neighboring countries at political, historical or cultural stances (McKay, Hill, Buckler, Ebrey and Beck, 2006). At a general level, the cultural impacts of China on the Asian states have manifested in a positive manner and they have been linked with the rapid and responsible evolution of the country. This in turn has materialized in opportunities for the neighboring countries as well. A most important aspect is revealed at the level of community building, as the community is perceived as a pivotal social structure in China. This perception has led to the responsible growth and development of communities in other Asian states. In the future, the influence of China is expected to further increase, with caution needing to be exercised at the level of the reaction of the Chinese population towards the intensifying relationships between their country and its neighbors (Xiaoming, 2006). This concerns the presence, the nature and especially the foundation of a particular relationship between government and its citizens. Philosophical Anarchism challenges this relationship. In this endeavor it differs from the position of Political Anarchism, which has as its main goal not only the moral devaluation but also the decline of the state. Conversely, the main method of philosophical anarchism is the rejection of theories that support the political task without necessarily to adopt the position that the state is inevitably evil and it must be abolished. The main concern of anarchism is that the political limitations are such that create problems as it has to do with the individual freedom and fulfillment. On the one hand, we find our lives to be controlled by political institutions and we take this power for granted. On the other, usually in our lives we want to decide ourselves about major issues that affect us, to be able to make choices and act freely, without the others to decide for us. Then why in the case of the state we consider the control and authority of others over us for granted? The answer is that the states were created in order to serve their citizens. They are good for our lives, destined to make easier and fair the coexistence between us. The states form a scheme that is created by man himself to ameliorate his life. Therefore, they are his choice, a product of the very freedom of man, of his will to govern himself. But this seems to give birth to a paradox; man decided to govern himself because he does not want to be governed. Substantially the paradox is not a paradox. It is only apparently paradoxical. This is because the restrictions are not incompatible with freedom when they derive from it. The appearance of the paradox reflects the idea that the best way to justify the authority and the limitations over people is to demonstrate that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Which in this case the choices that criminals make brings them pleasure and adrenaline. Criminal choices can be controlled by fear of punishment, but not all the time. The crime will be limited when the benefits are reduced and the costs increase. Rational choice theory is a perspective that holds criminality in the result of conscious choice. Not to mention, that it is predicted that individuals choose to commit crimewhen the benefits outweigh the costs of disobeying the law. In the rational choice theory, individuals are seen as motivated offenders by their needs, wants and goals that express their preferences. This theory has been applied to a wide of range in crime, such as robbery, drug use, vandalism, and white collar crime. Furthermore, rational choice theory had a revival in sociologyin the early 1960s, under the heading of exchange theory, and by the end of the decade was having a renewed influence in criminology, first as control theory and later as routine activities theory. Rational choice theory addresses, criminal behavior in various ways. In addition, this theory also falls short in many places. I have decided to work on the rational theory because it is a common theory that I see on a day to day base. I feel that anyone who breaks the law should be held responsible and not be rewarded with such a low punishment. If our criminal justice system enforces stricter punishments than those who are ... If all else fails and the buyer insists on taking time to think Houston should establish a firm follow up appointment as soon as possible. 3. Antibiotics are a leading cause for the rise of global average life expectancy in the 20th and 21st century. They have greatly reduced illnesses and deaths due to diseases. With the introductions of antibiotics in the 1940 s, like penicillininto clinical practice, formally deadly illnesses became immediately curable and saved thousands of lives (Yim 2006). Little research has been done on human superbugs but even less on antibiotic resistance in animals and whether the bacteria can be passed on to humans (Press Release 1998). The problem with the growing number of bacteria that are resistance to available antibiotics, is that there are very few new antibiotics in development. The financial costs of creating newer and stronger antibiotics are exceedingly high. Pharmaceutical manufactures either don t have the money or refuse to because of the small amount of profit they will make from these one off drugs. Research institutes are another option for new antibiotics but also don t have the sufficient financial support (Kesselheim 2010). Antibiotic resistant patients require extensive care and there are rare cases that they need complete isolation. The cost of this intensive care for long periods of time is phenomenal. With growing rates of resistance cases more isolation units are going to be in need which will cost governments hundreds, even thousands of dollars to provide (Lansing 2011). The economic factors of antibiotic resistance for developing world countries are worrying.
