I chose to analyze The Dark Knight (2008) directed by Christopher Nolan. My scene
begins at 00:01:13 and ends at 00:05:54. I chose to analyze this scene because it
contains interesting points that I have recognized, as the villain shows different
characteristics, using aspects such as camera angles. In this analysis, I will be looking
at the setting, lighting, sound and the use of the camera and how each of these views
influences the audience.
The setting within this sequence takes place downtown Gotham city in a building,
from ziplining, on the street, to the van, outside of the building, and last inside of the
bank. The scene starts, the camera zooms up onto a building. The window is then
broken and the camera switches showing a masked man shooting a zip line across
from the building to another building. The clowned mask is being used to hide their
faces which is iconic and is an example you would expect to see in a heist film. The
sound in the back ground is a fast hard tempo beat which gives the audience the
impression that this is a heist film. The next shot shows a man standing at the corner
of the street holding a clown mask in his hand and a bag. The camera slowly zooms
up to the mask leading the audience to believe that they may see the identity of the

The upper Three Forks in Painted Woods has shown poor oil production and low oil
saturation compared to the surrounding acreage. Previous assessments suggested that
the primary cause for this anomaly was due to the Pronghorn acting as a barrier for
primary migration from the lower Bakken shale into the upper Three Forks. Current
assessment indicates that, while the Pronghorn is a tight and fine grained rock, it is

migration, and is not the primary factor for the poor performance across Painted
Woods. The lower Bakken shale thins drastically across the Painted Woods region.
This thinning greatly reduces the amount of hydrocarbons generated across the region.
PRONGHORN AS A PRIMARY MIGRATION BARRIER Based off of MICP
data collected from core (Figure 19), the Pronghorn siltstone has a permeability on
par with the upper and lower Bakken shales. The lack of permeability is supported
by lithological analysis indicating a clay content of up to 50 % (Figure 20) across
the Painted Woods asset. The low permeability and high clay content shows that the
Pronghorn does have the potential to occlude primary migration of hydrocarbons
from the lower Bakken shale into the underlying upper Three Forks. However, this
only has a minimal effect on the overall potential of the upper Three Forks as a
whole. Saturation trends in the Pronghorn and the upper Three Forks (Figure 21),
indicates that hydrocarbons are being occluded from the lower Bakken into the
Three Forks, but not entirely. Oil saturation gradually decreases from the top of the
Pronghorn to the base indicating less hydrocarbons are being pushed into the upper
Three Forks. However, the oil saturation never reach 0% and only decreases to
approximately 60 to 70 % water saturation. The oil saturation then gradually increases
from the top of the Three Forks to the top of the first claystone. This trend is observed
throughout all the wells within Painted Woods, independent to the thickness of the
Pronghorn. Even though there is less volume of generated lower Bakken
hydrocarbons, oil is still able to be transmitted through the Pronghorn across Painted
Woods. However, the quantities transmitted are likely less compared to other

1957 fire ant eradication that motivated Rachel Carson to dedicated her time, research,

The book I chose to read was Mary Queen of Scots. The author of this book is Sally
Stepanek. The book was published by Chelsea House Publishers in 1987 with a total
of 110 pages. The book is about Mary Stuart and her life as a queen and also as a
prisoner. It tells of the hardships she had went through and the good times too.
To me the book mostly over sees the hardships Mary had went through. Like having
to leave her home land when she was an infant to having her throne taken away by
her own son that disowned her. She had three husbands that all left her as a widow.
While the book is about Mary s life it also tells a lot about others too. I did not like
the book because I felt as though it was repetitive in some parts and also it was not
as interesting as I thought it was going to be. I do believe that if people besides me
that were interested in it, it would be very successful book, but to me I would not
purchase or read this book again.
Second of all, the book is all about Mary s life from birth to her unfair death. The
author often tells about the fighting between the Protestants and Catholic Church. It
also tells of her three husbands and her many lovers threw her life. The important

and lost homes. The main reason was not what happened it was how it was handled

Patricia Monologue
Scene III Hernan is walking from left to right and from right to left. He appears to
be worried about something. He is wearing different clothes. It is midnight of the
next day. He checks his phone: no texts messages, no calls, no nothing. Hernan:
Where is she? Where could she be? He calls her. After a few minutes of waiting on
the phone, expecting Patricia to answer, the phone goes directly to voice mail: You

There is a knock on the door. Hernan runs to answer it. Patricia: I m sorry my dear,

Sometimes I think my face should appear on a hundred dollar bill. Patricia: In that

He says it as he does it: turns his phone off. Patricia: She stands up, suddenly feel

Hernan: From today until that child is born, no more drinking, clear? Patricia:
Clear. But the temptation here is too big. I mean I was just gambling in one of
those machines and a waitress, out of the blue, comes and asks me what do I want
to drink she said it was on the house. And when I least expected, I had 5 rums on
