Essays In Existentialism
Writing an essay on the subject of "Essays in Existentialism" can be a challenging endeavor that
demands a profound understanding of existentialist philosophy and its diverse perspectives.
Existentialism delves into complex themes such as individual freedom, choice, authenticity, and
the search for meaning in an apparently indifferent or absurd world. Crafting an essay on this
topic requires not only a comprehensive grasp of the primary philosophical texts but also the
ability to synthesize and critically analyze various existentialist viewpoints.
One of the difficulties lies in navigating the intricate nuances of existentialist theories proposed
by influential figures such as Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Camus, and SГёren Kierkegaard. Each
philosopher brings a unique perspective, and reconciling their ideas within the confines of an
essay demands a delicate balance between depth and clarity.
Moreover, conveying the existentialist ethos necessitates a thoughtful exploration of its real-
world implications. Addressing existentialist concepts in practical scenarios and illustrating their
impact on human experience adds an additional layer of complexity to the writing process.
In attempting to capture the essence of existentialism, one must grapple with the paradoxes
inherent in the philosophy. Concepts like the anguish of freedom, the absurdity of existence, and
the tension between individuality and social responsibility require careful consideration to avoid
oversimplification or misinterpretation.
In conclusion, composing an essay on "Essays in Existentialism" is a challenging task that
demands a comprehensive understanding of complex philosophical concepts, the ability to
synthesize diverse perspectives, and a nuanced approach to real-world applications. However,
navigating these challenges can lead to a profound exploration of the human condition and the
existential quest for meaning.

Ecological Systems Theory
Urie Bronfenbrenner s Ecological Systems Theory is made up of several systems
that begin in one s childhood and expand to bigger and better things through
experience with adulthood. The first systems, being the micro and mesosystems, that
play a psychological role in our lives that help us control relationships. The
microsystem consists of the people or groups that an individual has direct contact
with. The mesosystem is created by the interactions between an individual s
microsystems (Bronfenbrenner, Urie, 1993). The micro and mesosystems work hand
in hand to keep the key people and relationships in each individual s life interacting
to produce a stable environment. There are many key relationships that play a role in
my life. The key relationships... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

micro and mesosystems. There are two that stand out to me and also back up the
example that I provided regarding my work life and how my emotional intelligence
has helped me maintain a healthy relationship between my customers and
coworkers. (22) Not to give way to anger, and Not to curse them that curse us, but
rather to bless them, are rules that I can apply to those relationships at work in
particular, in keeping control of my emotions. I often remind myself to be the bigger
person, or to brush it off and see the positives over the negatives when I am in a
difficult situation. Applying many of St. Benedict s Rules to my relationships, and
using my own techniques to balance my emotions, ensure that a positive environment

Prevention Of The Bucks County
The Bucks County Teen Alliance ( fictitious ) is an organization dedicate to health
and well being of teens in the Lower Bucks County Area. It is recognized that teen
smoking leads to adult smoking, which results in disease , poor health, and early
death. The purpose of this proposal is help educate and reduce cigarettesmokingin
high schoolteens grades 9 through 12 as an early intervention measure.
Lower Bucks County ,PA , is a geographic area bounded by the city of Philadelphia
and the Delaware River. It has a total population of approximately a half million
people and approximately one quarter ( 22 %) are teens. ( SMMC). There are five
public high schools in the area. This is the targeted group for the smoking prevention
and cessation program.
In 2015, 9 of every 100 high school students (9.3%) reported in 2015 that they
smoked cigarettes in the past 30 days this a decrease from 15.8% in 2011, this
aggregate for entire US( CDC). In the Lower Bucks County area 1 in 5 (19.1%)
adults currently smokes. This percentage is slightly lower than the smoking rate
statewide (22.4%). The data supports the need to reduce smoking among all
population, and starting with teens is a logical step.
Goals, Objective and Timeline. The goal of the program will bee to reduce smoking
in the teen population. The timeline will be one calendar school year ( September
through June) with goal of having of monthly assembly focusing on the different
dangers of smoking cigarette. Breakout
Indi A Very Respectful Man And An Intellectual Leader
Vallabhai Patel is known as a very respectful man and an intellectual leader, hence
is the reason we almost always see the word Sardar in front of his name which
literally means leader in languages related to Hindi. However, not many of his
achievements are widely known being that Patel was the type of man that focused
more on working than making public appearances. Therefore, in this paper my
argument is that many of Sardar Vallabhai Patel s actions greatly motivated
individuals to aid India to overcome some of its struggles during and after India s
independence; especially, by leading in protests such as the 1917 No Tax campaign ,
his achievement of uniting over five hundred Princely States after India had won
independence, and his... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This movement made major life changes by providing Patel more opportunities,
for instance he was able to branch out in politics, was elected as three times to be
Ahmedabad s Municipal President, and made British leaders to recognized him as a

the villagers, who awards Patel with the Sardar title. This isn t the last time Patel put
his all in helping the people of Ahmedabad, as a matter of fact around 1922 1928
during the same period when he was serving three terms as Municipal President,
Ahmedabad, he made pushes that benefit Ahmedabad. Some examples of this is, that
many of the schools went through reforms to improve education for the youth, as
well as fighting for better payment for teachers, Ahmedabad becoming a major supply
of electricity, along with drainage and sanitation systems throughout the city.

Analysis of the Cultural Framework of Norway
Analysis of the cultural framework of Norway All human beings are affixed to
some form of cultural system which dictates the way they do things and how they
relate to one another (Tavanti 106). These unwritten norms, beliefs and values are
affixed firmly to a cultural framework which is a blue print that enables them to be
expressed. Each community has got its own cultural framework which binds people
who share a lot in common e.g. a nationality and live within a distinct boundary like
for example a country. In instances where the country has a large geographical area
or has a mixture of distinct races there could be an existence of more than one
cultural framework. An example of a country like this is the United States which...

distance index refers to the division of wealth and power between the members of
a population of a country. Hofstede says that it also shows how unequal the
societies of the world are in terms of wealth and power distribution and the fact that
the people without power have come to accept that power and wealth distribution
is indeed unequal. His findings place Norway s power distance index at 25%
which is relatively low compared to most of the countries. According to Moij, a
low power distance index represents a society that has its people operating on
almost the same economic levels as the governments try to focus on providing
equal opportunities and rights to its citizens (Moij, 83). He further gives
illustrations like for instance in high power distance index economies people
attempt to dress as nicely as possible in that you can know the economic strength of
people from their outfits. On the contrary in low power distance index economies
people do not care too much on what they wear as they are the same. He also adds
that a low power distance index country like Norway is as a result of high levels of
education within its population. Moij defines uncertainty avoidance as the level of
fear of uncertain occurrences happening to them through their instincts and the

Hello guys I m Grace and I am a volunteer of this youth center, below I just to ask do
you have these feelings before?
Desperate, depressed, desolated. I believe these emotions will bump out in every
one of your mind when you think you are in a disadvantaged situation, and
sometimes you think the whole world owes you, aren t you? But indeed, are you
really that pathetic? For me, people used to say I m a pessimism. Yet, after reading
a book based on a true story of a boy, it blows my mind. And it changes my mind in
way in seeing the world with cherishing and forgiveness, and now I want to share this
with all of you and I hope it will change yours too.

And it s time to back to basics, don t focus on things we don t have but the things
we have! We have friends, families and everyone sitting next to you in this youth
center, what we got is far more than survive, and we should better treasure it, and not
focus on the dark side.
As I about the dark side, you might think Dave s heart was full of hatred to his
mum because her mum treated him so badly. But in contrast, Dave teach me
forgiveness the art of letting go. No matter what lies in their past, they can
overcome the dark side and press on to a brighter world and turn tragedy into
triumph Dave said in the book. How come a person can let go of his anger and
bring love to her mum and his loving child, that s Dave. Look at what happened to
us, sometimes people or ourselves makes mistakes and the hatred will last in our
heart, but actually what s the point in remembering all those tragedy? Why don t we
move on? Just forgive ourselves and forgive others, your friends, your family. Then,
you will find you heart is brighter and clearer than ever, just like Dave.
In conclusion, I think this book is remarkable and incredible as Dave s experience
do change my way in looking in the world in more perspective such as survive,
forgiveness, love, courage and faith, but the time is limited so I have to stop here.
Lastly, I just want to say we could always let go of the bad things happened to us and
treasure everything we got, be positive! Everyone in the youth
Morgan Freeman Mentor
Tennessee born actor Morgan Freeman often plays the role of a mentor or father
figure. This can be seen in numerous films starring Freeman, including, An
Unfinished Life, Last Knights, Lean on Me, The Magic of Belle Isle, and Robin
Hood: Prince of Thieves. In all of these films, he is a mentor to at least one person
who has lost a father. However, although he has been pigeonholed as the mentor,
Freeman is capable of portraying a wide variety of characters, and demonstrates this
in the aforementioned films as well as others. In Last Knights, London has Fallen,
Dreamcatcher, and Lean on Me, Freeman s characters Lord Bartok, Allan Trumball,
Colonel Curtis, and Joe Clark are strong leaders who refuse to submit to opposition.
Although these characters... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Freeman plays the role accordingly, saying his lines in a stereotypical, strong black
dialect akin to Uncle Remus from Song of the South, with the noticeable quirk of
pronouncing the letter r with two syllables. Freeman s delivery in this manner helps
emphasize Hoke s lack of education in English suggested by the grammatical
structure of his lines. He maintains a calm countenance throughout most of the film,
showing that, like Red, he is acclimated to his circumstances, but his tone is jollier,
reflecting Hoke s optimism in contrast to Red s more solemn
Marketing of Tobacco Products Essay examples
Marketing of Tobacco Products
Marketing is a social and managerial process by which individuals and groups obtain
what they need and want through creating and exchanging products and values with
others.(Kotler, Armstrong, Saunders, Wong page 5) One of the products that are
exchanged through marketing is cigarettes. Tobaccois considered an inherently
unethical product because is addictive, dangerous and causes environmental
damage. Tobacco is also considered a pleasing product because its immediate
satisfaction is high but sometimes has harmful effects in the long run. One of the
long run effects of smoking is that four million people are killed every year and is
estimated that the figure will rise to ten million by 2030 ... Show more content on

(Yach, Brinchmann, Bellet page 4, 7 and Sloman page 85).This injustice, urged the
department of justice to file a civil lawsuit in 1999, against the largest tobacco
companies, to recover the cost that federal government has to spend on smoking
related illness each year. However our concern here is not only about the cigarette as a
product but with the ethics of cigarettes as well, that affect the social process of
marketing. This is because marketing process makes things worse and is also
considered as unethical, and as a result has a significant negative impact on the
societal welfare. Multinational tobacco companies apply sophisticated strategies (
such as putting flavor in the cigarettes and placing cigarettes in the shops near the
sweets to make them more appealing) and invest huge amounts of money for
marketing, in order to establish brand familiarity and future loyalty among young
peoplem, to secure profits in the long run. The tobacco epidemic is a man made
international health crisis, created and sustained by multinational tobacco
corporations. (Yach, Brinchmann, Bellet page 2). Fortunately, the tobacco industry s
behavior is likely to change due to the increasing legal and societal pressures. Much
legislation has been imposed to tobacco firms based on codes of behavior, different
government strategies and litigations, especially after 1980 where anti smoking
groups reactions, led to higher restrictions throughout

Hypertension: the facts Hypertension is very common especially as you get older
Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a major public health problem that affects
more than one billion people worldwide. In the UK, 31.5 per cent of all men and 29
per cent of all women have high blood pressure. One in three adults with hypertension
is not receiving treatment, as hypertension is not always diagnosed.
One in two people with hypertension do not have adequate blood pressure con trol.
The proportion of the population who have hypertension rises with increasing age;
while only 10 20 per cent of people aged 35 44 years have hypertension, 60 70 per
cent of people aged 65 74 years have it.

The History Of Atomic Structure

The History of Atomic Structure For many years Greek philosophers were intrigued
by the question of what matter consists of(Lucretius 31). In the fifth century BC,
Democritus was the first philosopher to come up with a coherent atom theory. Based
upon the reasoning that a stone can be split in half an infinite number of times, he
hypothesized that at some point the stone would be too small for the eye to see.
Democritus categorized such miniscule fragments of matter as atomos . Without
experimental evidence, Democritus guessed that atoms of all shapes are in continual
motion. Such motion affords the possibility of collisions in which atoms could attract
or repel. Alterations in matter could be counted for by these collisions. Democritus s
original atomic theory had little impact on the world for many years, due to its lack
of evidence, and was rejected by another renowned philosopher, Aristotle ( Ancient
Atomic Theory ). Following Democritus, Aristotle brought an opposing view on
matter. Aristotle correctly claimed that there are three states of matter, solid, liquid,
and gas. Additionally, he made the proposition that all matter springs from the four
elements, earth, air, fire and water. Similarly to Democritus, Aristotle had no
experimental evidence. Democritus s and Aristotle s theories differ in that
Democritus stated that matter exists in atoms in a void, while Aristotle stated that all
matter stems from the

Scottish Independence Pros And Cons
In this essay I will discuss both sides of the referendum of Scotland and firstly short
about the current situation, and then finish it off with a conclusion. The issue of the
Scottish independence has been highly discussed for a couple of years. The reason
for that are after the Scottish national party won the election in 2011, their main goal
has been to make Scotlandindependent. Now it is up to the Scots to choose whether
they want to separate themselves from the United Kingdomor if they want to remain a
part of it. This decision could change Scotland for eternity and entirely.
There are many arguments on both sides for the referendum that was held in 2014,
about the Scottish independence. Firstly one of many reasons to make Scotland a
country is that, they would save a lot of money by banishing nuclear weapons from
Scottish soil is commitment from the SNP. Critics say that moving the submarines
wonВґt make to much difference, but it will make a decision for deciding against
the renewal of the weapons. Also the North Sea oil will revenues would be put in

On Oct. 3, the 71 year old molecular cell biologist stood amongst a sea of reporters
and colleagues at the Tokyo Institute of Technology (TITECH) and echoed these
words that he often shares with his students. Ohsumi won this year s Nobel Prize in
Physiology or Medicine for nearly three decades of fundamental research in
autophagy the process by which cells recycle their own contents. On Dec. 10,
Ohsumi will stand on stage in Stockholm, this time in front of the global scientific
community, to accept his award and join the ranks of other Nobel laureates.
I remember fancifully dreaming of receiving the Nobel Prize as a child, but once I
became a researcher, any thought of receiving the award completely left my
consciousness as I focused on science, said Ohsumi at the TITECH press conference.

In addition, needing to have power to control the future is showing we want to
have a future which have our desires in mind and not any surprises which could
affect our self. The main priority Dr. Haber has it to make George Orr dream

The Effects Of Social And Emotional Development On
Children
Social and Emotional is as important as physical and motor development. Physical
and motor development are much easier to observe than social and emotional
development but it doe not dismiss how important this concept is. It is through
social and emotional development that a child self awareness and their ability to
regulate body and behavior. Transition is very important for the success of a child
in school and social life. When a child is aware that he or she is separate from their
environment than they can began to process and understand the world and
establish meaningful relationships through their work or play. In order to
understand the data and analysis of the children we must keep in mind that each
child is unique in his or her rate of growth and development and there will be major
milestone differences. This paper focuses on the observations of social and emotional
development in children ages 3 years to 8 years old. For my observations I picked
two girls and one boy. My first child is a little boy blonde baby with brown eyes by
the name of Oliver. He was born on January 10th, 2013 and is now 3 years old.
Oliver is very energetic he loves to play outdoors. He is very self reliant and
follows instruction when asked to do a task. Oliver was observed in the three year
old classroom at the Child and Family Research Center (CFRC) on the University of

of despair but the reader is beginning to wonder what else he expected her to do.
She is simply doing what he told her to do and he is finding fault with that. We are

His next punishment is where we really start to see him lose control. He

TV Rating Research
The main purpose of doing this research on the relationship between fantasy
football participation and TV rating is if playing fantasy football helps influences
people to watch televised games of the National Football League (NFL). The main
reason of me doing this research is because I truly believe in this study and I have
past experience of being part of the human beings that have helped the NFL on their
TV ratings.
With this research topic I will be answering three research question. My primary
research question: Does having a high percent of NFL players that are in starting
lineups spark an increase in TV ratings in those games? Second research question:
Having NFL players that are on high winning teams increase TV ratings? Third
research question: A gamewith a small margin of victory increase TV ratings.
Research Question One
Does having a high percent of NFL players that are in starting lineups spark an
increase in TV ratings in those games? To find results you have to look at players
that were starting in fifty percent to ninety percent of leagues. Also need to look at
results from Sunday night football, Monday night football, NFL on CBS, and NFL
on ESPN. I found some great tables to help picture the results.

Finding these results they looked at NFL players that were in between fifty percent
to ninety percent of fantasy football leagues. They also tested it on the most popular
football channels such as NBC and ESPN. People already believe that having those
NFL players that are on high winning teams increase TV rating but really it all
depends what channel it s shown on. For NBC, studies show that there were notable

Military Activities In Julius Caesar Research Paper
Julius Caesar military activities were significant in Gaul, Germany and Britain,
which as a result contributed to the fall of the Roman Republic. The combined
result of Rome s wars of expansion and competition among its leading men placed
immense strain on the republic system. Julius Caesar, an ambitious man, craved
the need for power, which he saw Gaul as an opportunity to conquer as Gaul lacked
political unity and discipline. With the help of his devoted army and his genius
with military tactics, Caesar was able to conquer Gaul with its advantages in favor
for himself, gaining popularity as well as exploring new foreign grounds where no
Roman has been before. However with great power Caesar was faced with new
enemies and the challengers of Roman senate, which contributed to the fall of the
Roman republic. Caesar was in search for power and wealth and when Gaul became

Examples Of Hester Prynne Transformation
The Scarlet Letter: The Transformation of Hester Prynne Throughout The Scarlet
Letter written by Nathaniel Hawthorne, there is a tremendous transformation
shown in the protagonist, Hester Prynne. This novel was about how Hester had
done a great sin, and was to wear a scarlet A on her chest. The red letter on Hester s
clothing was to remind her every day of her wrong doing and to leave Hester living
in guilt for the rest of her life. Hester then spends the next years of her life being an
outcast from society with her daughter, who was the outcome of the terrible sin she
committed. Even though the scarlet letterwas an embroidered fabric, the scarlet A

As Hester s story in The Scarlet Letter progressed, she became more independent. She
started to question the community s thinking, and decided to accept the sin she
committed rather than live in self pity. Hester did not need to be dependent on a man,
which was not ordinary during this time period. Instead, Hester was dependent on
herself and spent her focus on her daughter or the poor, caring for young Pearl and
attending to the less fortunate. Hester Prynne also began to think more freely, and did
not restrict herself to thinking the same way all the puritans had done. After going
through suffering and embarrassment because of her crime, Hester realized that she
was not enemy, but society was. With the shameful thoughts towards the scarlet letter
on her clothing drifting away, the A had transformed into a symbol of independence,
growth, and how Hester became to be the person she was when she had finally
Southwest Flight 1248
Some of the witnesses did not realize what was actually happening such as; we
thought it was an automobile accident and we looked out the window and we saw
the tail section of a Southwest airliner laying across the street (ASN, 2007).
Further, witnesses also reported that people were running and ambulances were
coming down the street (ASN, 2007). The witness reports for the accident of flight
1248 were not a significant source of the investigation. Findings. The NTSB made
23 findings relative to this accident, discussing crew qualifications, use of reverse
thrust, use of automatic brakes, landing conditions, landing surface condition
guidance, and Engineering Materials Arresting System (EMAS) (FAA, 2005).
Probable Cause The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) determined that
the probable cause of the accident was the pilots failure to use available reverse
thrust in a timely manner to safely slow or stop the airplane after landing, which
resulted in a runway overrun. This failure occurred because the pilots first experience
and lack of familiarity with the airplane s autobrake system distracted them from
using reverse thrust during the challenging landing (FAA, 2005). According to the

The Safety Board concludes that the pilots first use of the airplane s autobrake
system during a challenging landing situation led to the pilots distraction from the
otherwise routine task of deploying the thrust reversers promptly after touchdown
(NTSB, 2007). Therefore, if the pilots had been presented with stopping margins
associated with the input winds or had known that the stopping margins calculated
by the OPC for the 737 700 already assumed credit for the use of thrust reversers, the
pilots may have elected to divert (NTSB,
The Success Of A Circle Time
Successful Circle Time Circle time is one of the most fun and creative times of the
school day. Preschool children, typically ages three to around six, are very hands one
and mobile. They want to move about and explore things around them. For any
teacher struggling with circle time and keeping the attention of their students I would
suggest multiple tips on how to keep students engaged. One is to make circle time
interactive and get the students involved in the circle time. An example would be
giving each student a part in a song or a story to act out. Another suggestion would
be to start each circle time with a song and dance so that students can release some
of the energy that they have and be ready to focus during circle time. It is also a
great idea to have students move around during circle time so they are not getting
restless and moving in anyway they want (). Two very key things for circle time to
be a success is to be consistent with circle time and have it daily so that students
know what to expect. I have observed activities like reviewing the calendar,
weather, and reading a short book. Finally, one must be aware and patient of the
disturbances that will pop up during circle time. Know that students are all
developing in different ways and not one is like the other. While one student may sit
attentively for a prolonged period of time, another may not be at that point yet. Plan
circle time around your students needs and it will be a very happy experience for

In our opinion, the first alternative to this issue, since the medical advice said that
there are no prediction how and when Mr. Raja will recover from the illness that
struck him, is to get Mr. Raja to work on a retainer basis. Firstly, what is a retainer?
According to Contractor Calculator, a contracting website, a retainer is typically a
regular payment by the employee to an individual to be on standby (Contractor
Calculator, 2012). Therefore, if he were to work on a retainer, his service and he
will be put on standby, pending any instructions. This means that he does not have

Differences And Similarities Between Lennon And Cobain
INTRODUCTION Everybody loves you when you re six feet in the ground, was
once said by John Lennon. The finest day I ever had was when tomorrow never
came, Kurt. Though they died in the midst of their career, John Lennon and Kurt
Cobain amazed people with their successes, obstacles, music. John Winston Lennon
was born on October 9, 1940 in Liverpool, England ( John 1). At the time, World War
II was going on (Burlingame, John Lennon: Imagine14). His parents, Alfred Alf
Lennon and Julia Lennon divorced when he was a child (Burlingame, John
Lennon: Imagine 21) and he had to move in with his aunt and uncle (Burlingame,
John Lennon: Imagine 25). In elementary school, he played guitar and harmonica,
always enjoying music (Burlingame, John Lennon: Imagine 32). The first song he
ever learned was That ll be the Day by Buddy Holly (Burlingame, John Lennon:
Imagine 33). As music took over his life, John got distracted and his aunt told him
that he could not make a living by playing guitar (Burlingame, John Lennon:
Imagine 36). When John was teenager, he started writing and composing music
(Canale 1) as well as drawing and writing books. He wrote two books, In His Own
Write and A Spaniard in the Works (Watson 2). Similarly to Lennon, another
musician got their inspiration at a young age. Kurt Donald Cobain was born on
February 20, 1967 in Aberdeen, Washington to Wendy and Don Cobain
(Burlingame, Kurt Cobain: Oh Well... 11). He came from a musical family and
was introduced to music at an early age. When he was three years old, he wrote his
first song, Corn on the Cops. When he started playing guitar, he held it backwards
because he was left handed, and played popular Beatles songs like Hey Jude
(Burlingame, Kurt Cobain: Oh Well... 12). He was fourteen years old when he
received his first electric guitar (Burlingame, Kurt Cobain: Oh Well... 18). Like John,
Kurt was involved with the visual arts and enjoyed drawing, whittling, and painting
(Burlingame, Kurt Cobain: Oh Well... 13). The two musicians background allowed
them to prosper in the future. In 1956, John Lennon formed his first band, The
Quarrymen, who had their first concert in 1959 (Burlingame, John Lennon: Imagine
38). Later, in 1960, the band
Symbolism In Keats s Ode To A Nightingale
Torn between two worlds, Keats battled his own personal life between his
engagement to Fanny Browne and the death of his brother. Also the poem was
written approximately two years before he died. These life changing events resulted
in Keats writing one of his most famous poems, Ode to a Nightingale. This poem is
an escape from reality in trying to find a happy place such as the singing of the
Nightingale(Fiero 9). The poem is a parallel to Keats thoughts and desires, which are
directly connected to his reasoning for writing the poem, its connections to
understanding nature as well as its reflection of the human consciousnessand natural
environment.
Ironically the bird in the poem is used as a symbol, whereas the bird that inspired the
poem was a real living creature. According to ... Show more content on

One of the themes in Keats poem Ode to a Nightingale is reality verses imaginary
(Melani). In the beginning of the poem, the bird is tangible, allowing Keats to hear
its pleasant song. As the poem develops the bird becomes a symbol. The bird can
represent joy, self expressions and nature s music. One concern in the poem is Keats
analysis on the divided nature of humans. This includes mixed feelings of pain verses
happiness, feeling verses dullness, real verses ideal and mortal verses immortal. As
the poem continues to build on emotion based on human nature, the reader is able to
draw conclusions and different abstractions (Melani). In this poem there is an
overpowering theme directly related to romanticism, the bird representing nature and
immortality while on the flip side Keats representing a worldly state of mind trying to
capture the essence of the nightingale by listening to the song. Art is more than a
response to the human experience of love and nature; it is the transmuted product of
the imagination, a higher form of nature that triumphantly outreaches the mortal
lifespan (Fiero

Metamorphoses
After diving deeper into the production of Metamorphoses I couldn t help but
recognize a theme of, The Powers of Love . The objective of the performance was to
present the transitions and effects that love has on people, by staging different myths

the production of Metamorphoses created a visual world in which the play could

The set design was simple throughout the entire play, yet it delivered a meaningful
theme to the performance. Consisting of a raised platform, fabric for acrobatics and

In the story of greedy father, an adult, rather than a child played his daughter. In order
to enhance the realism of the play, the daughters costume was chosen to represent the
nature of a child. This costume choice was consistent with the director s concept and
accurately communicated the age and relationship of the daughter to the father. In the
story of the love struck boy, a man disguises himself as an old beggar women so
that he may get insight on a girl he is in love with. The beggar costume created an
entirely new relationship between the man and woman and allowed the man to freely
approach his love to learn of her feelings for him.
When discussing the design elements, I feel as though the element of light gets
overlooked more times than not. Throughout the entirety of the performance, light
played a key role in developing effects, and creating a visual reality. The first
instance we saw light was in the myth of the greedy father and his daughter. In the
story, the father is granted one wish; that everything he touches turn to gold.
Unfortunately for the man, his wish comes true and every single thing he touches is
instantly transformed to gold. In order to display this element of the play, a golden
light was shined on any object the father touched, including his daughter. This light
illuminated the action of the story and worked to fulfill the director s concept. As an
audience, we also saw the use of light during an actor s important set of lines. In

Airbags are safety features that are designed to save passengers from harm in a
head on collision. Airbags react within milliseconds of a crash, and the folded
nylon bag quickly becomes inflated with nitrogen gas. The inflated airbag has the
role of being a cushion for passengers and prevents them from hitting into the
steering column and dashboard, which can cause painful injuries for passengers.
Airbags were invented by John Hetrick in 1953 after Hetrick, his wife and young
daughter got into a car accident in 1952. The family was driving around the
Pennsylvania countryside when suddenly a huge rock on the road forced Hetrick to
swerve into a ditch. With no restraint systems, Hetrick and his wife had to grasp their

Therefore, the vital component of the airbag system is a sensor that can detect head
on collisions and instantly trigger the airbag s inflation. This crash sensor is a steel
ball that slides inside a smooth bore. The ball is held in place by a permanent
magnet or by a stiff spring, which restrain the ball s motion when the car drives
over bumps or potholes. Nevertheless, when the car decelerates very rapidly, as in a
head on crash, the ball swiftly moves forward and turns on an electrical circuit,
initiating the process of inflating the airbag. Once the electrical circuit has been
turned on by the sensor, a pellet of sodium azide, NaN3, is ignited. A speedy reaction
occurs, generating nitrogen gas, N2. The nitrogen gas fills a nylon or polyamide bag
at a velocity of 150 to 250 miles per hour. This process, from the initial impact of
the crash to full inflation of the airbag, takes only about 40 milliseconds. Preferably,
the body of the driver or passenger should hit the airbag just after inflation, really
while the airbag begins to deflate. If not, the high internal pressure of the airbag
would create a surface a very hard surface that the driver or passenger would hit into.
After an air bag inflates, deflation starts immediately. Deflation occurs when the gas
escapes through pores in the fabric. Deployment is accompanied most of the time by
the release of dust like particles in the

Finding Rhetoric in Our Lives
The commercial of my choice was the Old Spice ad that is advertising their new
line of body wash that is advertised having odor block power. The commercial is
made by old spice and has a lot of ethos, pathos, and logos throughout the
commercial, and is very effective at all three. I think that the commercial works and
gets straight to the point in a very short time. Its main goal is to sell and make
money off their product that is said to keep you smelling god and stopping odor from

It demonstrates how he washes his body and it takes immediate effects in stopping
the odor. Another instance of the commercial using ethos is how often the ad and
all the diversity in each one being played everywhere on everything, which shows
that they have a good feeling that people will see this and purchase the product
from them as soon as possible. The brand of Old Spice already does have a good
reputation and is one of the leading brands in men s health and cleanliness behind
Axe brand. So it doesn t need as many appeals to ethos because they already have
good credibility and most people know the name and will trust them. The uses of
pathos is how he seems to be screaming at the audience which may seem to

will affect many people in different emotional states while hearing the commercial. It
is very effective and is the most predominately used rhetoric device used in the

commercial is overall a comedic ad that wants to make you feel happy and make you
feel like you can trust them and their product. They portray this by having him

Questions On Organizational Culture And Leadership
Schein, E (1992). Organizational Culture and Leadership. 2nd ed., San Francisco,
CA: Jossey Bass Edgar Schein outlines those characteristics in better understanding
and assessing the culture and climate of an organization. A lot energy and emphasis
is focused on the identification and application of an organization s guiding
principles. Schein suggests that our guiding values and principles are important, but
it is in the organizations structure, culture, action that describes the true character of
an organization. He spends time focusing on artifacts, indicators of an
organizations true culture, values and beliefs. When someone better understands
an organization, they know that observation is a key to find out their true make
up. This will also lead to finding about some of the reinforcing and extinguishing
characteristics of the organization. His book is very applicable when attempting to
better understand the true make up of an organization like the Mississippi Army
National Guard. He uses key values that describe the organization and its makeup.

Why my Favorite Sport is Soccer
What is sport? Sport in as athletic activity requiring skills or prowess and often of a
competitive nature. My favorite sport is soccer. It is played by 250 million players
in over 200 countries and dependencies, making it the world s most popular sport.
The game is played between two teams of eleven players with a spherical ball on a
rectangular field with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to score by
getting the ball into the opposing goal. In this essay i am going to write about the
history of soccer, my favorite soccer club and my favorite soccer player who is my
role model. The old form of soccer used to allow many ill practices like kicking,
punching, biting and gouging. The main aim was to carry the ball to a target spot.
People grew so fond of the game that they would throng the field all day long.
Sometimes the competition grew fierce and masses got so wild that there were
frequent incidents of violence during the game. In 1815, a major development
took place that made soccer popular in Universities, Colleges and Schools. The
popular English School and Eton College came forth with a set of rules, known as
the Cambridge Rules. Football was segregated into two groups; some colleges and
schools opted for Rugby rules that allowed tripping, shin kicking and also carrying
the ball. These rules were exclusively prohibited as per the Cambridge rules. In
October 1863, eleven representatives from London clubs and schools met at the
Freemason s Tavern to set up common fundamental rules to control the matches
amongst themselves. The outcome of this meeting was the formation of the Football
Association. In December 1863, the Rugby Football and Association football finally
split as the supporters of the Rugby School rules walked out. Firmly establishing the
foundation of soccer in 1869, the Football Association strictly banned any kind of
handling of the ball. When and where exactly did soccer start is a question that has
no precise answer to it. Soccer also known as football was invented and most
influenced by England but most of the early innovation came from scotland. It was
until 1872 when england played scotland at the very first international game when the
first revolution happened. In England
Television In The 1950s
One of the most popular products in the 1950s was the TV. TV signals were able to
reach the most remote areas, breaking down the isolation in rural America. Besides
entertainment, more and more Americans turned to TV for latest news. As TV s
popularity grew, it became integral part of American life. Most importantly, TV
promoted the development of a common culture.
In the 1950s, there were three major networks: ABC, CBS, and NBC. Most television
programs were entertainment shows. Current events and political issues were not a
central focus of TV networks. The most popular prime time TV shows were
comedies. Significantly, most domestic comedies depicted an idealized American
family life and disregarded social and political issues such as poverty and racial
discrimination. For this reason, Newton Minow, a chairman of Federal
Communications Commission called it a vast wasteland. However, it was an
extremely popular wasteland.
Nonetheless, in 1952 for the first time, TV networks were able to make live
broadcast of the Republican and Democratic conventions from Philadelphia to the rest
of the United States. Because of this, rural residents were able to find out ... Show

fault finding portrait of U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy. The journalist pointed out
inconsistencies in the senator s from Wisconsin speeches and expressed concerns
that McCarthy s aggressive campaigns were a potential threat to America s freedoms.
Murrow s show on Joseph McCarthy led to reprimanding and censuring of Senator
from Wisconsin by the U.S. Senate, thus ending of hysteria of McCarthyism. In this
way, like Newton Minow said, When television is good, nothing is
Masks And Figures In Picasso s Guernica By Pablo Picasso
In the painting Guernica by Pablo Picasso, the artist uses abstract shapes and
figures to represent the horrors of war. The work is a large mural painted in oils
and the colors used are variations of black and white. By using these dark somber
colors instead of bright vibrant colors, Picasso shows that Guernica is not a
painting that is supposed to be visually pleasing but instead is supposed to present
a message. Certain shades of grey in the painting look like that of an old printed
newspaper and almost make the work seem like it is a picture you might see on
the front page. Picasso uses shape quite a bit and the painting seems to be centered
on a triangular shape that draws the eye upwards and to the center to the eyeball.
This eyeball, with an iris made out of a lightbulb, looks to be casting a light down
upon all of the carnage. The jumble of human limbs, geometric shapes, and animal
heads are given emphasis because they appear to rest atop a solid black
background. There are quite a few figures in this piece and the overall movement in
it is chaotic. Certain figures are given emphasis because of their size, such as the
woman holding the candlestick, the bull s head, and the crying woman holding her
child.
Guernica was named after a village in Picasso s home country that was bombed for
two days straight during the Spanish Civil War. This painting was his response to
the tragedy. It was largely overlooked when it was first unveiled because of the
abstract nature of its composition but is now seen as famous representation of the
devastating effects of war on innocent people.
Francisco Goya s The Disasters of War, No. 18: Bury Them and Say Nothing is an
etching with aquatint. It is also in black and white and features another gruesome
image of war. It is smaller in scale than Guernica, but it s realistic depiction of a pile
of dead bodies lying on the ground make it a powerful image. The dark black ink
used to cover the ground beneath them emphasizes the bodies and draws the viewers
eye to them. Standing just above the bodies to the right are two figures that appear to
be mourning the dead lying before them. The upper half of the etching that represents
the sky is completely empty, drawing the eye to two
Relationship Between Uglies And Harrison Bergeron
Relationships are a big part in the beginning chapters of uglies. Tally finally find
someone that she can relate to, and hang out with, but they have different views on
the operation of becoming pretty. These views will allow Tally to see the turn
meaning of the operations.
Shay, her new best friend, decides to run away to a place where being ugly doesn t
really matter to anyone. it s not like here, Tally. They don t separate everyone , uglies
from pretties, new and middle and late. And you can leave whenever you want, go
anywhere you want. The relationship that Tally had with Shay was strong, but took
the place of the surgery and Tally was willing to turn shay in. Not being able to
become pretty was something that Tally never thought ... Show more content on

Plastic surgery is a massive thing. Not only does it change the way God made you,
but there are also things that could go wrong in the midst of everything, just like the
lesions and surgery in Uglies. Although acceptance is a hard things to have
throughout life, we need to be comfortable in our own skin and not worry as much
about what others think but, rather what we think.
8.The story of Uglies and Harrison Bergeron both focus on broken societies. Like
Uglies, Harrison Bergeron tries to make the society equal but in doing this breaks
it even more. the transmitter would send out some sharp noise to keep people like
George from taking unfair advantage of their brains. p1. In the steps of making
everyone equal, the government simple takes away the abilities that people had
before that others would never have and punishing them for trying to use them. We
see the same ideas in uglies. The society is willing to change their entire body in
order to be pretty and more accepted. People are willing to go through with things
like this because, we only see the good sides of it, but never the bad. All Tally ever
wanted to do was to get the surgery. She saw the parties, the happiness ,the friendship,
but never saw what it really
Khepera Mobile Robots For Search And Rescue Operation
Khepera Mobile Robots for Search and Rescue Operation
Keywords: Mobile Robot, Explore Unknown Map with Obstacles, Gas Detection, V
rep, Khepera III, Albers Algorithm.
Abstract: Nowadays, using robots instead of humans in risk operations is an
interesting point in the field of robotics. In this paper we introduce an integrated
approach for search and rescue operation of detecting gas sources in large areas;
e.g. houses, factories, and labs. This aims at saving people s lives at bottlenecks
resulting from gas leak and ignition of fires. Experiment is performed using master
Khepera robot supplied with gas sensor circuit to search map, in addition to two slave
Khepera supplied with gripper to take the best path to clinch the victim.
Moreover, this paper proposes an improvement of Albers exploration algorithm to
reduce the time required to explore unknown map with different polygon obstacles.
The proposed approach aims to minimizing the overall exploration time, making it
possible to localize fire sources in an efficient way, as demonstrated in
Vrep simulation as well as real world experiments with Khepera III robot. A
comparison among different algorithms has showed the effectiveness of the
proposed one where the percentage of performance speedup is about 30% to 57%
depending on size of the map and number of obstacles.

Autonomous Robots are meant to perform searching operations inside buildings,
mines and caves , which are considered extremely serious. These
Gay Justice In Plato s Encouragement For Gay Rights
Plato s Encouragement for Gay Rights
In Plato s Republic, several competing explanations of justice are offered. First, we
hear Thrasymachus s account of justice in Book I, as being the advantage of the
stronger. We then receive Glaucon s explanation of justice in Book II: the
agreement between men to act just in order to avoid the pain of being on the
receiving end of an unjust act. Finally, Socrates provides us with the best definition
of justice, saying that justice is the result of three specific classes performing their
function within a city in order for the collaboration to conclude in self sufficiency.
Socrates s definition of justice outshines those of Thrasymachus and Glaucon
because he takes into account that not every person is the same, but everyone is
equal. Socrates s refutations of both Thrasymachus and Glaucon help completely
shape his argument of what justice is when it comes to Book 4. Socrates made his
definition of justice general enough to where it accounted for everyone in the city. As
long as everyone performed the duty they were naturally capable of, they were just.
I am taking three explanations of justice mentioned in Plato s Republic to talk about
the injustice toward the gay community and my personal encounter of the unjust
society with being seriously involved with a woman of color. Ever since I was little, I
knew I was attracted to the same sex, but I remained too afraid to act on my feelings.
I desperately desired to be accepted and considered

Scope Of Practice For Licensed Practical Nurse
Scope of practice for the Licensed Practical Nurse: Future challenges to practice
Carmen Gonzalez Southeastern college04/11/2015 Abstract In this paper I will be
informing on the scope of practice or the job description for a licensed practical
nurse which includes medication administration and documentation just to name a
few. I will also be discussing the future problems in in which licensed practical
nurses with have to deal with in practice. And certifications that licensed practical
nurses are able to obtain. Scope of Practice of the Licensed Practical Nurse
Nursing is defined as the promotion, protection and the prevention of illness and
Injury, the treatment of a patient s disease or diseases, the patient s response to a
disease, as well as one big thing that nurses are known for, and that is being a
patient s advocate nursing has been one of the fastest growing fields since the
1990 s (Mueller et al.,2012). Advocacy is defined as an action in which a person
speaks out, argues a cause, supports and defends on the behalf of others. I believe
that the role of being a patient advocate is one of the most important things a nurse
can do because there are many patients that cannot speak on their behalf, I believe
that it is up to the nurses to be those patients as well as all patient s voices (Mueller
et al., 2012).A Practical nurse is defined as any person that is licensed in Florida to
practice practical nursing. In order to
Baboon Experience
Started out like normal gathered the MV and Baboon carts. Corrine is on MV today
and I am with Philip. There was a little meeting this morning about what was going
on. There was nothing out of the ordinary in the conversation.
I cleaned Baboon and Mandrill, cleaned the glass, then swept in Mandrill holding

they were given access to the scale. I swept Baboon side after Philip had given them
their breakfast and medication and then sent them out. Note: Moja did not want to
take his medication and spilled it out onto the floor. They did not want to go out

Three Main Types Of Ethical Responsibility
Question1: Ai
Talking about behaving ethically and responsibly, lead us to talk about ethic. In my
opinion, Ethics is more about moral principles it is a system that defines right and
wrong and provides a guiding philosophy for every decision (Cooper Frank, 1997).
Ethical responsibility has been deeply discussed in many literatures review. There are
three main types of ethical theory: Consequentialist Theories, Deontological Theories,
and Virtue Theories (Jackson, 2015). Different views rise to different sorts of ethical
theories. General summary of ethical theories is shown in figure1. Figure 1:

Essays In Existentialism.pdf

  • 1. Essays In Existentialism Writing an essay on the subject of "Essays in Existentialism" can be a challenging endeavor that demands a profound understanding of existentialist philosophy and its diverse perspectives. Existentialism delves into complex themes such as individual freedom, choice, authenticity, and the search for meaning in an apparently indifferent or absurd world. Crafting an essay on this topic requires not only a comprehensive grasp of the primary philosophical texts but also the ability to synthesize and critically analyze various existentialist viewpoints. One of the difficulties lies in navigating the intricate nuances of existentialist theories proposed by influential figures such as Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Camus, and SГёren Kierkegaard. Each philosopher brings a unique perspective, and reconciling their ideas within the confines of an essay demands a delicate balance between depth and clarity. Moreover, conveying the existentialist ethos necessitates a thoughtful exploration of its real- world implications. Addressing existentialist concepts in practical scenarios and illustrating their impact on human experience adds an additional layer of complexity to the writing process. In attempting to capture the essence of existentialism, one must grapple with the paradoxes inherent in the philosophy. Concepts like the anguish of freedom, the absurdity of existence, and the tension between individuality and social responsibility require careful consideration to avoid oversimplification or misinterpretation. In conclusion, composing an essay on "Essays in Existentialism" is a challenging task that demands a comprehensive understanding of complex philosophical concepts, the ability to synthesize diverse perspectives, and a nuanced approach to real-world applications. However, navigating these challenges can lead to a profound exploration of the human condition and the existential quest for meaning. For those seeking assistance with similar essays or any other academic writing, resources like HelpWriting.net can provide valuable support and expertise in tackling intricate philosophical topics. The first systems, being the micro and mesosystems, that play a psychological role in our lives that help us control relationships. The microsystem consists of the people or groups that an individual has direct contact with. The mesosystem is created by the interactions between an individual s microsystems (Bronfenbrenner, Urie, 1993). His findings place Norway s power distance index at 25% which is relatively low compared to most of the countries. In the fifth century BC, Democritus was the first philosopher to come up with a coherent atom theory. Based upon the reasoning that a stone can be split in half an infinite number of times, he hypothesized that at some point the stone would be too small for the eye to see. Democritus categorized such miniscule fragments of matter as atomos . Without experimental evidence, Democritus guessed that atoms of all shapes are in continual motion. Such motion affords the possibility of collisions in which atoms could attract or repel. Alterations in matter could be counted for by these collisions. Democritus s original atomic theory had little impact on the world for many years, due to its lack of evidence, and was rejected by another renowned philosopher, Aristotle ( Ancient Atomic Theory ). Following Democritus, Aristotle brought an opposing view on matter. Aristotle correctly claimed that there are three states of matter, solid, liquid, and gas. Additionally, he made the proposition that all matter springs from the four elements, earth, air, fire and water. Similarly to Democritus, Aristotle had no experimental evidence. Democritus s and Aristotle s theories differ in that Democritus stated that matter exists in atoms in a void, while Aristotle stated that all matter stems from the

Probable Cause The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) determined that the probable cause of the accident was the pilots failure to use available reverse thrust in a timely manner to safely slow or stop the airplane after landing, which resulted in a runway overrun. Preschool children, typically ages three to around six, are very hands one and mobile. They want to move about and explore things around them. For any teacher struggling with circle time and keeping the attention of their students I would suggest multiple tips on how to keep students engaged. One is to make circle time interactive and get the students involved in the circle time. An example would be giving each student a part in a song or a story to act out. Another suggestion would be to start each circle time with a song and dance so that students can release some of the energy that they have and be ready to focus during circle time. It is also a great idea to have students move around during circle time so they are not getting restless and moving in anyway they want (). Two very key things for circle time to be a success is to be consistent with circle time and have it daily so that students know what to expect. I have observed activities like reviewing the calendar, weather, and reading a short book. Finally, one must be aware and patient of the disturbances that will pop up during circle time. Know that students are all developing in different ways and not one is like the other. While one student may sit attentively for a prolonged period of time, another may not be at that point yet. Plan circle time around your students needs and it will be a very happy experience for

  • 32. Differences And Similarities Between Lennon And Cobain INTRODUCTION Everybody loves you when you re six feet in the ground, was once said by John Lennon. The finest day I ever had was when tomorrow never came, Kurt. Though they died in the midst of their career, John Lennon and Kurt Cobain amazed people with their successes, obstacles, music. John Winston Lennon was born on October 9, 1940 in Liverpool, England ( John 1). At the time, World War II was going on (Burlingame, John Lennon: Imagine14). His parents, Alfred Alf Lennon and Julia Lennon divorced when he was a child (Burlingame, John Lennon: Imagine 21) and he had to move in with his aunt and uncle (Burlingame, John Lennon: Imagine 25). In elementary school, he played guitar and harmonica, always enjoying music (Burlingame, John Lennon: Imagine 32). The first song he ever learned was That ll be the Day by Buddy Holly (Burlingame, John Lennon: Imagine 33). As music took over his life, John got distracted and his aunt told him that he could not make a living by playing guitar (Burlingame, John Lennon: Imagine 36). When John was teenager, he started writing and composing music (Canale 1) as well as drawing and writing books. He wrote two books, In His Own Write and A Spaniard in the Works (Watson 2). Similarly to Lennon, another musician got their inspiration at a young age. Kurt Donald Cobain was born on February 20, 1967 in Aberdeen, Washington to Wendy and Don Cobain (Burlingame, Kurt Cobain: Oh Well... 11). He came from a musical family and was introduced to music at an early age. When he was three years old, he wrote his first song, Corn on the Cops. When he started playing guitar, he held it backwards because he was left handed, and played popular Beatles songs like Hey Jude (Burlingame, Kurt Cobain: Oh Well... 12). He was fourteen years old when he received his first electric guitar (Burlingame, Kurt Cobain: Oh Well... 18). Like John, Kurt was involved with the visual arts and enjoyed drawing, whittling, and painting (Burlingame, Kurt Cobain: Oh Well... 13). The two musicians background allowed them to prosper in the future. In 1956, John Lennon formed his first band, The Quarrymen, who had their first concert in 1959 (Burlingame, John Lennon: Imagine 38). Later, in 1960, the band
  • 33. Symbolism In Keats s Ode To A Nightingale Torn between two worlds, Keats battled his own personal life between his engagement to Fanny Browne and the death of his brother. Also the poem was written approximately two years before he died. These life changing events resulted in Keats writing one of his most famous poems, Ode to a Nightingale. This poem is an escape from reality in trying to find a happy place such as the singing of the Nightingale(Fiero 9). The poem is a parallel to Keats thoughts and desires, which are directly connected to his reasoning for writing the poem, its connections to understanding nature as well as its reflection of the human consciousnessand natural environment. Ironically the bird in the poem is used as a symbol, whereas the bird that inspired the poem was a real living creature. According to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of the themes in Keats poem Ode to a Nightingale is reality verses imaginary (Melani). In the beginning of the poem, the bird is tangible, allowing Keats to hear its pleasant song. As the poem develops the bird becomes a symbol. The bird can represent joy, self expressions and nature s music. One concern in the poem is Keats analysis on the divided nature of humans. This includes mixed feelings of pain verses happiness, feeling verses dullness, real verses ideal and mortal verses immortal. As the poem continues to build on emotion based on human nature, the reader is able to draw conclusions and different abstractions (Melani). In this poem there is an overpowering theme directly related to romanticism, the bird representing nature and immortality while on the flip side Keats representing a worldly state of mind trying to capture the essence of the nightingale by listening to the song. Art is more than a response to the human experience of love and nature; it is the transmuted product of the imagination, a higher form of nature that triumphantly outreaches the mortal lifespan (Fiero

In the story of the love struck boy, a man disguises himself as an old beggar women so that he may get insight on a girl he is in love with. The beggar costume created an entirely new relationship between the man and woman and allowed the man to freely approach his love to learn of her feelings for him. When discussing the design elements, I feel as though the element of light gets overlooked more times than not. Throughout the entirety of the performance, light played a key role in developing effects, and creating a visual reality. The first instance we saw light was in the myth of the greedy father and his daughter. In the story, the father is granted one wish; that everything he touches turn to gold. Unfortunately for the man, his wish comes true and every single thing he touches is instantly transformed to gold. In order to display this element of the play, a golden light was shined on any object the father touched, including his daughter. Airbags react within milliseconds of a crash, and the folded nylon bag quickly becomes inflated with nitrogen gas. The inflated airbag has the role of being a cushion for passengers and prevents them from hitting into the steering column and dashboard, which can cause painful injuries for passengers. Airbags were invented by John Hetrick in 1953 after Hetrick, his wife and young daughter got into a car accident in 1952. The family was driving around the Pennsylvania countryside when suddenly a huge rock on the road forced Hetrick to swerve into a ditch. Therefore, the vital component of the airbag system is a sensor that can detect head on collisions and instantly trigger the airbag s inflation. This crash sensor is a steel ball that slides inside a smooth bore. The ball is held in place by a permanent magnet or by a stiff spring, which restrain the ball s motion when the car drives over bumps or potholes. Nevertheless, when the car decelerates very rapidly, as in a head on crash, the ball swiftly moves forward and turns on an electrical circuit, initiating the process of inflating the airbag. Once the electrical circuit has been turned on by the sensor, a pellet of sodium azide, NaN3, is ignited. A speedy reaction occurs, generating nitrogen gas, N2. The nitrogen gas fills a nylon or polyamide bag at a velocity of 150 to 250 miles per hour. This process, from the initial impact of the crash to full inflation of the airbag, takes only about 40 milliseconds. Preferably, the body of the driver or passenger should hit the airbag just after inflation, really while the airbag begins to deflate. If not, the high internal pressure of the airbag would create a surface a very hard surface that the driver or passenger would hit into. After an air bag inflates, deflation starts immediately. Deflation occurs when the gas escapes through pores in the fabric. Deployment is accompanied most of the time by the release of dust like particles in the

It is played by 250 million players in over 200 countries and dependencies, making it the world s most popular sport. The game is played between two teams of eleven players with a spherical ball on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to score by getting the ball into the opposing goal. In this essay i am going to write about the history of soccer, my favorite soccer club and my favorite soccer player who is my role model. The old form of soccer used to allow many ill practices like kicking, punching, biting and gouging. The main aim was to carry the ball to a target spot. People grew so fond of the game that they would throng the field all day long. Sometimes the competition grew fierce and masses got so wild that there were frequent incidents of violence during the game. In 1815, a major development took place that made soccer popular in Universities, Colleges and Schools. The popular English School and Eton College came forth with a set of rules, known as the Cambridge Rules. Football was segregated into two groups; some colleges and schools opted for Rugby rules that allowed tripping, shin kicking and also carrying the ball. These rules were exclusively prohibited as per the Cambridge rules. In October 1863, eleven representatives from London clubs and schools met at the Freemason s Tavern to set up common fundamental rules to control the matches amongst themselves. The outcome of this meeting was the formation of the Football Association. In December 1863, the Rugby Football and Association football finally split as the supporters of the Rugby School rules walked out. Firmly establishing the foundation of soccer in 1869, the Football Association strictly banned any kind of handling of the ball. When and where exactly did soccer start is a question that has no precise answer to it. Soccer also known as football was invented and most influenced by England but most of the early innovation came from scotland. It was until 1872 when england played scotland at the very first international game when the first revolution happened. In England

The work is a large mural painted in oils and the colors used are variations of black and white. By using these dark somber colors instead of bright vibrant colors, Picasso shows that Guernica is not a painting that is supposed to be visually pleasing but instead is supposed to present a message. Certain shades of grey in the painting look like that of an old printed newspaper and almost make the work seem like it is a picture you might see on the front page. Picasso uses shape quite a bit and the painting seems to be centered on a triangular shape that draws the eye upwards and to the center to the eyeball. This eyeball, with an iris made out of a lightbulb, looks to be casting a light down upon all of the carnage. The jumble of human limbs, geometric shapes, and animal heads are given emphasis because they appear to rest atop a solid black background. There are quite a few figures in this piece and the overall movement in it is chaotic. Certain figures are given emphasis because of their size, such as the woman holding the candlestick, the bull s head, and the crying woman holding her child. Guernica was named after a village in Picasso s home country that was bombed for two days straight during the Spanish Civil War. This painting was his response to the tragedy. It was largely overlooked when it was first unveiled because of the abstract nature of its composition but is now seen as famous representation of the devastating effects of war on innocent people. Francisco Goya s The Disasters of War, No. 18: Bury Them and Say Nothing is an etching with aquatint. It is also in black and white and features another gruesome image of war. It is smaller in scale than Guernica, but it s realistic depiction of a pile of dead bodies lying on the ground make it a powerful image. The dark black ink used to cover the ground beneath them emphasizes the bodies and draws the viewers eye to them. Standing just above the bodies to the right are two figures that appear to be mourning the dead lying before them. The upper half of the etching that represents the sky is completely empty, drawing the eye to two

Experiment is performed using master Khepera robot supplied with gas sensor circuit to search map, in addition to two slave Khepera supplied with gripper to take the best path to clinch the victim. Moreover, this paper proposes an improvement of Albers exploration algorithm to reduce the time required to explore unknown map with different polygon obstacles. The proposed approach aims to minimizing the overall exploration time, making it possible to localize fire sources in an efficient way, as demonstrated in Vrep simulation as well as real world experiments with Khepera III robot. A comparison among different algorithms has showed the effectiveness of the proposed one where the percentage of performance speedup is about 30% to 57% depending on size of the map and number of obstacles. 1 INTRODUCTION Autonomous Robots are meant to perform searching operations inside buildings, mines and caves , which are considered extremely serious. These
  • 45. Gay Justice In Plato s Encouragement For Gay Rights Plato s Encouragement for Gay Rights In Plato s Republic, several competing explanations of justice are offered. First, we hear Thrasymachus s account of justice in Book I, as being the advantage of the stronger. We then receive Glaucon s explanation of justice in Book II: the agreement between men to act just in order to avoid the pain of being on the receiving end of an unjust act. Finally, Socrates provides us with the best definition of justice, saying that justice is the result of three specific classes performing their function within a city in order for the collaboration to conclude in self sufficiency. Socrates s definition of justice outshines those of Thrasymachus and Glaucon because he takes into account that not every person is the same, but everyone is equal. Socrates s refutations of both Thrasymachus and Glaucon help completely shape his argument of what justice is when it comes to Book 4. Socrates made his definition of justice general enough to where it accounted for everyone in the city. As long as everyone performed the duty they were naturally capable of, they were just. I am taking three explanations of justice mentioned in Plato s Republic to talk about the injustice toward the gay community and my personal encounter of the unjust society with being seriously involved with a woman of color. Ever since I was little, I knew I was attracted to the same sex, but I remained too afraid to act on my feelings. I desperately desired to be accepted and considered

Scope Of Practice For Licensed Practical Nurse Scope of practice for the Licensed Practical Nurse: Future challenges to practice Carmen Gonzalez Southeastern college04/11/2015 Abstract In this paper I will be informing on the scope of practice or the job description for a licensed practical nurse which includes medication administration and documentation just to name a few. I will also be discussing the future problems in in which licensed practical nurses with have to deal with in practice. And certifications that licensed practical nurses are able to obtain. Scope of Practice of the Licensed Practical Nurse Nursing is defined as the promotion, protection and the prevention of illness and Injury, the treatment of a patient s disease or diseases, the patient s response to a disease, as well as one big thing that nurses are known for, and that is being a patient s advocate nursing has been one of the fastest growing fields since the 1990 s (Mueller et al.,2012). Advocacy is defined as an action in which a person speaks out, argues a cause, supports and defends on the behalf of others. I believe that the role of being a patient advocate is one of the most important things a nurse can do because there are many patients that cannot speak on their behalf, I believe that it is up to the nurses to be those patients as well as all patient s voices (Mueller et al., 2012).A Practical nurse is defined as any person that is licensed in Florida to practice practical nursing. • 48. Baboon Experience Started out like normal gathered the MV and Baboon carts. Corrine is on MV today and I am with Philip. There was a little meeting this morning about what was going on. There was nothing out of the ordinary in the conversation. I cleaned Baboon and Mandrill, cleaned the glass, then swept in Mandrill holding after Philip had given the Mandrills their breakfast. They did not want to go out so they were given access to the scale. I swept Baboon side after Philip had given them their breakfast and medication and then sent them out. Note: Moja did not want to take his medication and spilled it out onto the floor. They did not want to go out either so they were given tunnel access. Only Moja came in but he shortly left. As we were heading over to the Red Ruffs, Philip mentioned that there are a pair of swans that have a nest off to the side of center lake and that they were getting nasty with people so the eggs will need to be removed by the DNR. The swans were on the Red Ruff island and in order to avoid them I was told to place the food on top of the night house. When I was finished with placing the food out when Catta got really close to me. I quickly backed away because I did not want her to get aggressive with me since I did not have any food left in the
  • 49. Three Main Types Of Ethical Responsibility Question1: Ai Talking about behaving ethically and responsibly, lead us to talk about ethic. In my opinion, Ethics is more about moral principles it is a system that defines right and wrong and provides a guiding philosophy for every decision (Cooper Frank, 1997). Ethical responsibility has been deeply discussed in many literatures review. There are three main types of ethical theory: Consequentialist Theories, Deontological Theories, and Virtue Theories (Jackson, 2015). Different views rise to different sorts of ethical theories. General summary of ethical theories is shown in figure1. Figure 1: Summary of ethical theories ( Jackson, 2015) In Many philosophers consider ethics to be the science of conduct. Recently, most companies realize the importance of operating ethically and reasonably regarding surrounding environments. Most companies implement new systemic implementation of ethics like ethics committee, codes of ethics, ethics audit which review and mentor the performances of ethics programs in the organization.
