Never Cry Wolf by Farley Mowat follows the author's experiences living alone for a year in the Arctic studying wolves. Mowatt discovers that much of what was believed about wolves was false. Wolves live in family packs and do not usually attack people. Through observing the wolves, Mowatt learns they are caring parents to their pups and primarily hunt small prey like mice rather than larger animals. His findings contradict the common view of wolves as dangerous killers, showing they have been misunderstood for a long time.
