Shi s Visit To Loudong
A new design of inscription on the body of the teapot emerged during Shi s visit to Loudong (modern
day Taicang of the Jiangsu province), a place where many tea connoisseurs resided. Wu Qian did not
mention whether Shi had personally meet with Chen Jiru (hao Meigong, 1558 1639), Wang Xijue
(1534 1614) and Wang Shizhen (1526 1590), all of whom were well known local elite in Loudong;
however, it was clear that Shi, at some points, had heard of some of their theories of tea tasting and
decided to make some new changes to his teapots. Since most of the artisans were not trained to be
calligraphers, Shi like all of his contemporary potters, either stamped or carved his personal seals at
bottom of the teapots with a bamboo knife during the

The Use of Cars Causes Market Failure. to Achieve an...
The use of cars causes market failure. To achieve an efficient use of resources it would be better if
governments intervened to affect both the production and the use of cars. Explain the meaning of the
terms market failure and the efficient use of resources and analyse whether economic theory can be
used to support this argument. [25] Market failure exists when the operation of a market does not lead
to economic efficiency. It is a situation where a free market does not produce the best use of scarce
resources. Typical examples are when externalities are present, when there is monopoly power or
where it is necessary for public and merit goods to be provided by the government or even when there
is possible excessive profits or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It might allow the production firms to finally achieve allocative efficiency. In conclusion, the
consumption of cars creates both positive and negative externalities. However the negative
externalities it is more than its positive externalities so producers tend to overvalue and over produce.
The government tries to intervene by imposing taxes on the production of cars. However this is not
usually effective as the imposion of taxes depends on the elasticity of the product. The demand of cars
is not price elastic. In the diagram above, we have a normal downward sloping demand curve and two
upward sloping supply curves. The lower one, the marginal private cost, represents the car firm s
supply curve (remember that the firm s supply curve is also its marginal cost curve). The other one,
the marginal social cost, represents the true supply curve (and, therefore, the true marginal cost of
production) for society as a whole, allowing for the external cost of production. This external cost is
represented by the vertical distance between the two supply curves (AB). The car firm does not care
about the pollution. The owner is simply interested in maximizing profits. The equilibrium price for
him is where demand equals his supply curve, at point B, so output will be Q1 with price at P1. Given
that there is pollution, though, the optimal point for the whole of society is at C, where output is Q2
and price P2. Hence, if left to the free

Carnival And Calypso Dance
The West Indian Dance of Calypso has a long history. Where its origins trace back to Africa it s
become popularized in Trinidadian culture and becomes the most popular around the holiday time of
Christmas. Since Calypso and Carnival have such strong connections there is some background
information that you definitely need to know. Carnival and Calypso are part of the colonial and post
colonial history of Caribbean islands such as Trinidad and Antigua. As early as the 18th century,
Africans, who were at the time slaves living in Antigua, celebrated Carnival. They had used these
dances as a form of communication between each other, often times this was used to mock the slave
masters without them knowing. During this time in the 18th century the French planters used carnival
times to celebrate the period as a pre Lenten celebration, which was basically a preparation period for
the coming of lent . (Hughes)
All through these carnivals involved street procession costumes, music, dancing, and feasting. The
culture continued even after the British changed the French as colonial rulers. all through colonial
instances, slaves held separate celebrations. Their Carnival practices included stick fighting, dancing,
drumming, making a song and the staging of quick plays. role playing turned into an integral a part of
Carnival and remains the case these days. Ex slaves masqueraded as White slave masters at the same
time as others had been costumed as Kings and Queens of Britain, angels,

These prequels depict the events that led up to the fate of Darth Vader and the birth of the original
trilogy star, Luke Skywalker. I ve set out to analyze the intertextuality established within the original
Star Wars trilogy and presented in the prequel Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
My mom has always had a thorough obsession with the Star Wars films, this is probably directly
related to the fact that the original film was the first movie she ever saw in theater. Thus, I was raised
on intergalactic comparisons and plastic light saber battles. And somehow I managed to keep up
without ever seeing the films through my own eyes; I knew that two giant twisted buns over your ears

planet, a galaxy?) I didn t know the difference between the galactic republic and the galactic empire.

Design Of Maximum Power Point Tracker With Mechanical System
ABSTRACT
The present report describes the different modules involved in the design of a maximum power point
tracker with mechanical system (MPPT). The system uses four light dependent resistances (LRD) to
measure the light intensity on the four sides of a solar panel then, using two steppers motor, rotates the
panel in the direction of the LRD which measures the maximum light intensity. The power output
from the panel is used to charge a twelves Volts battery through a DC DC buck converter.

Battles in the Pacific In World War II, there were numerous Battles in the Pacific ocean. Some were
scary and
some were bloody and some were quiet and some were loud, but most of all some were deadly,
life threatening. The troops that had to go out and fight the battles were brave. Especially
to go fight on water in boats and submarines and in the air with planes. You would never know
when you were go to get shot down or lose your life. It would be a surprise if you live and
miracle perhaps.
The Battle of Iwo Jima
One of the most bloodiest battles in World War II is Iwo Jima (Chenoweth 234). It began
at 2:00 on February 19,1945 in the Pacific ocean on the island of Iwo Jima, 650 miles from
Tokyo (The Battle Japan, Battle of Iwo Jima). Soldiers say that the first day of the war was the
worst because so many casualties had happened so many loved ones were lost (Chenoweth 237).
The bodies were all over the place. 30,000 U.S. marines landed on the shore the first day. The
first soldiers were attacked by the Japanese (World war II). There were 22,000 soldiers under
Lieutenant General Kuribayashi (The Battle of Iwo). 6,800 American Soldiers lost their life in
this battle(World War II).
In Iwo Jima, they used a lot of weapons. They used flamethrowers, tanks, machine guns
and artillery (Battle of Iwo Jima). Colonel Baron Takeichi Nishi used

In a study of New York City, Hosannah (2014) found that particle size distribution with a high volume
of fine mode particles in urban areas can suppress precipitation. Particle size distribution with a high
volume of coarse mode particles (with giant cloud condensation nuclei) enhanced precipitation totals.
Urban effects also changed spatial precipitation patterns. Jin et al (2005) found weekly signals of
aerosol optical thickness for summer months in AERONET measurements, and in MODIS cloud
effective radius over New York City. Aerosols were also elevated seasonally, with peaks in summer.

How is performance management linked to organizational strategy execution and performance? A case
study of two organizations of different scale in Asia
By Raveenderen Ramamoothie Strategy execution is a topic of practical importance and its success
depends on how an organization integrates and aligns the business units and the employee
performance to the strategic goals of the organization. However, many organizations find that their
strategic goals realization is not optimized. One of the key issues is that the strategy and the
performance goals of an organization are often disconnected with the performance management
platform, a function of the strategic HR in managing employee performance. Essentially in this

Essay on Byron s Don Juan
Byron s Don Juan No Formal Ending is Needed
Lord Byron s chief masterpiece is probably the comic epic Don Juan, which occupied its author from
1818 until nearly the end of his life (Trueblood 14 15). The sheer length of the poem is in itself
impressive; its seventeen cantos take Juan through a variety of adventures, including the famous affair
with Donna Julia, the sojourn with Haidee, experiences in Turkey and later in Russia as a slave, and
finally episodes in England among high society (Boyd 22 30). Remarkably, however, Don Juan as
Byron left it is obviously unfinished. Further, the poem was not published in an absolutely complete
form until nearly eighty years after Byron s death (Steffan III 562). The unfinished state of Don ...

A great variety of conjecture is employed in them as to the fate of the poem s hero; among the
conclusions one finds Juan saving Aurora Raby from fire, travelling to Scotland, being guillotined in
the French Revolution, and turning into a reformed man who spends much of his time in prayer, in
accordance with the values of the rising Victorian period (Chew 136ff.).
But none of these seems to capture the true Byronic spirit. Samuel C. Chew, who describes these
pseudo Juans in detail, summarizes his findings:
On the whole, despite some scanty exceptions to the contrary, poverty of invention and servile
imitation of Byron s mannerisms, with no ray of his genius, characterize the entire series of
continuations . . . . [With a possible exception or two,] not one merits for its own sake even such
feeble renewal of life as is given it in the pages of this article (146 7).
The editions of the true Don Juan available in the nineteenth century certainly encouraged these
spurious sequels; they lacked the fragmentary seventeenth canto Byron had written before going to
Greece (Coleridge 1013n.). Consequently, the reader of that day was left with a far more abrupt
ending than we now have: at Canto XVI s end, Juan, who thinks he is encountering a ghost, puts forth
his hand to touch it and unmasks her frolic Grace Fitz Fulke, who has had a lustful eye on him ever

After Norman s father had died, he was tremendously unhinged and had the likelihood to be impulsive
towards other people. When Norman had killed both Mother and her lover, he had a conflict within
himself; which then led to an identity disturbance. Norman Bates gave half of his life to his mother,
and by doing so, he had lost himself. From what the people around him saw, Norman had seemed like
he was a normal man, who was only a little divergent from the rest, but in reality he was always
having a battle with his own identity, and his mothers. Both of the identities within his psyche wanted
to become the dominant one, and in the end Mother had won, which led to her completely take over

Nurture Strongly Influences Early Human Development

Nurture strongly influences early human development
Introduction
While nature produces healthy, well formed infants, nurture helps in developing them in the early
stages of their lives through practice and experience. It means that the early development of a human
is effective and faster by nurture than what comes out of nature. All children go through the same
sequences of growth and development in the same order right from their mother s womb, be it the
development of parts of the body and the development of organs, motor development after birth,
development of speech, etc.. Nature leads to ordinary development of a fetus into a human but it
cannot develop an infant into a healthy minded or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
can affect normal maturation of a fetus. So, it can be clearly noted from above that a fetus can be
completely organized and well developed only when given quality nurturing.
Influence of genetics and environment on the motor development of a child after birth
All children go through the same sequence of motor behaviors in the same order but they go through
the sequence at different rates. It is because those children who are not given attention or taken good
of (nurtured) are seen to develop in a slower rate than those who are given quality nurture. Even if a
child is born physically challenged, he/she can be trained or given physiotherapy treatment to improve
him/her to at least take care of their own selves. This clearly illustrates that practice and experience
makes a child to learn things faster and in a much better way than those children who are left
unnoticed.
Genetic and environmental influence on a child s development of speech
All human infants learn to speak in the course of normal development, but not until they have attained
a certain level of neurological development. It is applicable for both, children who are given as well as
children who are given quality nurture. As we already discussed on the motor development of a child
after birth, even here, in the case of development of speech of a child, the fact is

Oh Ms Believer Analysis
Some people listen to songs because they like the how the song sounds to them, and completely ignore
the lyrics, while others listen to the lyrics of the song, rather than simply hearing the catchy beat. In
Oh Ms Believer by Twenty One Pilots, someone is trying to help his or her loved one through the
complications of depression. There are many different hidden meanings in the lyrics of the song Oh
Ms Believer , such as in the lyrics Oh, Miss Believer, my pretty sleeper/Your twisted mind is like
snow on the road (1 2). The song opens with a simile that means her thoughts cover up who she truly
is, or that her thoughts could be dangerous, perhaps life threatening, because when snow covers a road
it becomes hidden, slippery, and dangerous to drive on. Another part of the song s lyrics Your shaking
shoulders prove that it s colder/Inside your head than the winter of dead (3 4), show that the subject in
the song is probably crying because her shoulders are shaking, and also that her thoughts are
depressing and likely dangerous. The entire song relies heavily on the idea of cold, such as winter and
snow, for in the lyrics of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

snow on the rooftops (15 16), represents that the woman s thoughts are weighing her down and hiding
who she truly is. This song focuses on depression and how it warps one s mind, hides one s true
personality, physically and mentally weighs one down, and how ones does not believe the

Descriptive Essay On A Walk In The Park
A Walk in the Park A ways away from a town that I call home, I found a happy place. I often find
myself walking through the park by myself. The beautiful trees, the way the yellow and red leaves
crumple under my feet every step I take. When the flowers bloom and how it s the most spectacular
sight you could ever imagine seeing, all the different colors that appear. When you breathe in and you
get this smell of purity, you feel free and alive. Sometimes I like to sit on the old wooden bench where
the bench frame is a little rusted, and I get rid of my thoughts and my eyes search the sky. In the
winter the icy breeze makes me shiver, and the cold air I take in, is like sitting in front of an air
conditioner and breathing in. Some mornings the sun beams across the sky, which is not quite blue
yet, but the sun has almost fully risen. When the wind blows, it grazes over the blades of grass. Some
days I just stand and take a deep breath in and I can taste the spring. When summer comes around, and
the bees are buzzing, and the hot sun beats on the back of my neck, I lay on the soft grass and listen, to
the birds chirping a beautiful song, and the kids playing in the park. The sky is the bluest view in
sight. Walking through the trail full of mud and leaves always made me think about my life. It was
always there when I needed to walk and get things off my mind. Looking around watching the leaves
fall off tree after tree flying like butterflies, all different colors. When they stopped, they immediately
died and they were not coming back alive again. Piled leaves filled up under trees and children ran and
jumped on them like they were pillows. These trees tripled the height of humans with numerous
branches holding hundreds of leaves. While walking the river flows and it is such a beautiful view
with the sun shining right off of it. The ducks and little birds chirping and floating through the smooth
water puts a joy to my face. I found a rest area with a bench and by it was a fountain. The ripple of
water and the singing that the birds formed made it peaceful to sit there and study the fountain. Just
appreciating the little things in life and realizing what all I have and have overcome is what the park
helps me

The Elasticity Of Imports From Asian Countries
Price Elasticities in Asia Bruce Cadwallader, Kelsey Seeds, Mary Taylor, Gloria Tolson Ohio
Dominican University MBA640 The Issue The issue at hand is the elasticity of imports and exports in
Asian countries and why the import and export demand elasticities are not constant as one would
think. Import and export demand can change the price and income variables of a country. The study
found that in Asian countries, if imports are price inelastic there will be a rise in import prices and will
lead to an increase in the import bill. If imports of these countries are income elastic, an increase in
incomes will lead to a more proportionate increase in imports. If exports from Asian countries are
price inelastic, export earnings will rise as the prices increase. If exports from these countries are
income elastic, an increase in incomes worldwide will lease to a greater than proportionate increase in
exports (Keat, Young Erfle, 2013). The study consisted of five different Asian countries, India, Japan,
Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. It was found that all five countries had inelastice price and
income elasticities on import demand. Whereas, three of the five countries were price elastic on export
demand, but only Japan was income elastic on export demand (Sinha, 2001). Table 1 Price Elasticities

The Master of Deception (MOD) is the first hacking gang in hacking history, and it s also one of the
most extensive thefts of computer information. MOD was founded by several blue collar youth in
New York, which aimed at proving their power in computer and network underground and beating
other hackers and hacker gangs (TABOR, 1992). MOD traded boasts, tapping into telephone systems,
stealing confidential information from government or other highly protected systems. At first, their
purpose was to prove that they are better and more skilled than other hackers, but later MOD members
began to steal confidential information and sell it for personal gains. In 1992, five members of MOD

Making A Delicious Homemade Bread
If you have never had a chance to go to a bakery and smell that fresh baked bread aroma, you are
missing out! Bread is one of the most widely consumed foods in the world today. In fact, when you
make a loaf of bread, you tend to use all five senses. Melissa Hill said, Bread is like real love, it took
time, cultivation, strong loving hands and patience. It lived, rising and growing to fruition only under
the most perfect circumstances. When I started baking, I experienced a difficult time understanding
the process and the many steps involved while making bread. There are three critical steps involved in
making a delicious homemade bread.
Making The Dough The first step to making bread is simple, pick a recipe to make. May I suggest we
make a sweet honey oat loaf? Now we can begin. Start by turning on the oven, set temperature to 410
degrees. Now, let the fun begin while we make our Honey oat recipe. We will start by adding our
ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, we will add 1 cup of rolled oats any brand is fine. Water time let s
get 2 cups of hot water. I suggest around 110 degrees hot. This allows the yeast to start working at a
quicker speed. Add to mixing bowl and a ½ cup of honey, 2 tablespoons butter and 2 teaspoons of
table salt. Finally let stand for 1 hour. Next, in a small bowl let s add our main ingredient 1 (.25 ounce)
package active dry yeast and a ½ cup of water 110 degrees F. Let yeast dissolve for about ten minutes
or it becomes a creamy texture.

Triple Entente Alliance
In the Great War, there was a lot going on; on top of soldiers losing their lives on the battlefield. The
alliances that were built for the war, were ultimately fighting for the want of power. Countries like
Germany and Austria Hungary wanted eventually be in control of the people and win more land to be
able to expand. This caused a lot of tension with the Triple Entente, which was an alliance between
France, Great Britain, and Russia. With all of them waiting to be the best of the best, Austria Hungary
and Germany used nationalism, which means to protect their nation and their alliance. Also,
something that the alliances all wanted was the best resources such as; raw materials, gold, and
produce. Lastly, with all the talk about the war, many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

a tricky plan because Belgium was a neutral state. Belgium was protected by Great Britain, so
Germany s plan quickly got attacked and both Great Britain and Belgium started a war. This was a
horrific type of war, soldiers were forced to build these trenches to have protection from the madness

Stonewall Jackson
Thomas Stonewall Jackson was born on January 21, 1824 in Clarksburg, Virginia. His father and
younger sibling had died of typhoid fever when Jackson was very young. This left himself, his mother
and a younger sister. His mother remarried and fell into debt with her more current husband. Because
of the immense financial struggles distressing the family, Jackson was forced to go live with an uncle.
Jackson s uncle paid little to no attention to him, even when young Jackson showed an interest in
learning. As stated in the Stonewall Jackson: The Man, The Soldier, The Legend, a childhood friend
said that Jackson was by no means... brilliant, but was one of those untiring, plain, matter of fact

(Published in the Charleston Mercury on July 25, 1861). Some thought that by the Union taking over
Richmond, the head of the Confederacy, that it would end the Civil War (MacDonald 12). The
Confederate army was committed to protecting all routs to Richmond.
One year later, in 1862 Jackson blindsided the Union and defeated two Union forces. The blindside
defeat of the Union proved that Jackson was a relentless and determined military mind. Jackson did
this during the Shenandoah Valley campaign. George McClellan, commander of the Union Army,
came up with a plan to capture Richmond, the Confederate capital. McClellan was not known as the
most efficient of commanders, always seeming hesitant to commit his troops to battle. When
McClellan s troops were preparing to start their campaign, Stonewall Jackson s Confederate Army
charged through the Shenandoah Valley, making it seem as if they were going to attack Washington,
the Union s capital. This campaign that Jackson raged upon lasted from May 4th until June 9th, 1862.
This is where Jackson defeated the two Union forces.
Jackson s Shenandoah Valley campaign included battles such as Fort Royal, Winchester, Cross keys,
and Port Republic (Virginia Military Institute Archives). He defeated Union soldiers at all of these
battles. Due to Jackson s success with his Shenandoah Valley

Heinz And Beech Nut Case Study Solution
Problem Statement The Heinz case study discusses the proposed merger between the Heinz company
and Beech Nut that was struck down by the Federal Trade Commission in 2001. Once the panel
announced its decision to block Heinz s purchase of Milnot Holding Corporation, the maker of Beech
Nut, for $185 million Heinz decided to no longer pursue the deal (Labaton, 2001). The three major
producers of baby food companies at the time were Gerber who still maintains a solid hold on the first
place slot. Gerber has a significant presence in the baby consumer products arena, being that most
companies that carry baby products typically carry Gerber baby food (Wilmer, Cutler and Pickering,

Price is one of the various determining factors of consumer demand. In an oligopoly the market
leaders can adjust these factors as needed to ensure their dominance in the industry. With only three
market leaders in the baby food industry, merging two of those leaders into one company would lead
to two companies driving the factors that influence demand.
ECONOMIC FACTORS
Customer preferences Consumers have grown more health conscious and knowledgeable about the
ingredients that go into their food. They are particularly concerned about the food they feed their
babies. Parents want to avoid foods that contain genetically modified organisms and comprised of
natural ingredients which is leading them to turn to brands that are promoted as organic or to make
their own baby food. A Nielsen s 2015 Global Health Wellness Survey polled over 30,000 individuals
online suggests consumer mindset about healthy foods has shifted and they are willing to pay more for
items perceived as healthy (Gagliardi, 2015). While Gerber, Beech Nut and Heinz have developed
organic products to accommodate the growing trend to more natural foods, this trend has also
provided an opportunity for smaller brands to enter the market. Brands such as Earth s Best, Sprout
and Plum are staking their claim and consumers have

Charlie Gordon In Flowers For Algernon
Ernest Hemingway once said, Happiness in intelligent people is the rarest thing I know. For Charlie
Gordon, Hemingway s words hold more truth than anything he had been told throughout the course of
his story. Charlie Gordon, the main character of Daniel Keyes Flowers for Algernon, was a thirty two
year old man born with an unusually low level of intelligence. When Charlie was approached by a pair
of scientists with the proposition of undergoing a revolutionary surgery to increase his intelligence, he
readily agreed, thinking that the smarter he was, the more liked he would be. This did not, however,
seem to be the case. Charlie Gordon was happier when his I.Q. returned to sixty eight after the

of sixty eight, after the operation. Throughout the novel Flowers for Algernon, Charlie underwent a
serious transformation from an optimistic but dimwitted thirty two year old man with hope for the
future, to a cynical genius whose world was slowly beginning to fall apart, and then back to a happier
version of his original self. However, it is indisputable that Charlie was the happiest after the
operation, when his I.Q. had sunk back down to a measly sixty eight. His relationships thrived in light
of his recent life events, he was protected by the innocence and childlike naïveté of his mental state,
and his learning ethic returned to a need to know basis. Intelligence has always been something of
incredible value, so much so that mentally retarded Charlie Gordon was approached by scientists with
the proposition of artificially increasing his intelligence. However, Daniel Keyes Flowers for Algernon
is the story of the life of Charlie Gordon, and if Charlie s tale is capable of teaching the readers
anything, it is that sometimes one s intellect comes at the sacrifice of his or her livelihood. Perhaps

Describe how The Seventy Five Million Campaign affected the Southern Baptist Convention.
The Seventy Five Million Campaign was the Southern Baptist effort to raise $75 million for various
Baptist causes during the five years spanning 1919 1924. It initially began to strengthen Baptist
education, but evolved into a campaign to aid all Baptist causes. The SBC appointed a Campaign
Commission was chaired by George Truett and was complimented by directors from each state,

Second, the Baptist churches also experienced a spiritual renewal with baptisms exceeding more than
any other time before which led to thousands of young women and men stepping forward for Christian
service. As young people stepped out in faith, Baptist schools saw an increase in enrollment which led
to an influx of young, new pastors and church ministers. Fourth, the campaign also brought about a
spirit of unity which gave new and broader vision to possibilities of Baptist work. Lastly, Baptists
generally became more aware of the importance of stewardship which led to many churches to adopt a
budget system to manage local church finances.
What is the Cooperative Program and what does it do? Discuss the effectiveness of this program.
In 1920, the SBC developed the Conservation Committee to preserve the funds that were collected
from the Seventy Million Campaign. In 1925, this Committee launched the Cooperative Program to
continue in meeting the financial needs of the convention. The program called for churches to send
their offerings directly to their state conventions where each state would retain a portion for their own
needs and the rest would be forwarded to the SBC office in Nashville. Leaders insisted that this
mechanism was both scriptural and fair.

The Word Love In The Giver
Many words in the English language don t mean what they say. For instance, disinterested does not
mean that you are not interested in something. It rater states best that someone is not influenced by
personal feelings or concerns. In the novel The Giver , the most common words that fit into this topic
are love, stirrings, and release.
The word love in Jonas s society has a very negative effect on people. To start it off, this bland word
was very overused. Before is was called insignificant, Jonas s community would use the word love to
describe your feeling to or about someone or something without really knowing true meaning. This
next quote that was taken from the novel clearly states that Jonas s parents think that this meaningless
word was very inappropriate of Jonas to use. Your father means that you used a very generalized
word, so meaningless that it s become almost obsolete. Although love is one example of an important

After adding an additional 32 teams to the tournament schedule, the relevant revenues including t
shirts, concessions, and soccer clinics doubled while the corporate contribution revenue remained the
same. This brought anticipated revenue for the field of 64 teams to $85,680. The relevant expenses
that don t change include the tournament registration with the YSL, recruiters hotels, the face books,
marketing and advertising costs, as well as the salary of Renee Jantsen; these costs are either fixed
(salary, tournament registration fee, no additional marketing required) or unaffected by the
introduction of the 32 new middle school teams (no additional recruiters because they re uninterested

expenses that do change include the cost of the t shirts, concession, the soccer clinic, the player

competing teams doubles. There is also a new cost for the rental of the 6 additional fields from the
local school necessary to host 64 teams (($150/field + $60 goalposts/field) * 6 fields * 2 days=

The Need to Reform or Abolish The Electoral College Essay
The Electoral College is the United States archaic process of electing presidents. It was established in
the Constitution as a compromise between election by Congress and election by popular vote. Each
state is given a specific number of electors based on the number of its U.S. Representatives and
Senators (NARA). This allows for over representation of small states and under representation of large
states, while the winner takes all format followed by most states could result in a candidate winning
the popular vote but losing the election (NARA). This has actually happened on four separate
occasions, leaving four black marks on the nation s history (NARA). Despite these mishaps and
constant calls for reform, the faulty system remains in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While this has never changed the outcome of an election, the possibility is still there, and that alone
should be cause enough for one to advocate reform (Fairvote.org). Twenty four states, including
Indiana, do not legally require electors to vote for a specific candidate (NARA). In these states,
electors can essentially vote for whoever they want, and face no charges. Electors in the remaining
twenty six states and Washington, D.C. are bound by state law or pledges to vote for a specific
candidate (NARA). However, the penalties in these states are usually trivial, and rarely enforced
(Fairvote.org). One or several rogue electors could easily disregard the popular opinion of the state,
such as in Virginia during the 1836 election. Virginia s popular vote saw Martin Van Buren and
running mate Richard Mentor Johnson on top of the polls. However, Johnson wasn t particularly
popular in southern states, as he had previously been in a relationship with a mulatto slave. As a result,
the twenty three Virginia electors instead cast their vice presidential votes for William Smith, leaving
Johnson with the most electoral votes but one shy of a majority. The vote then went to the Senate,
where Johnson was finally elected as Vice President. The election came dangerously close to being
soiled by the bigoted Virginia electors, but thankfully all was set right by the Senate under the
provisions of

Gender Challenges Within The Business Of Sports
Abstract Gender challenges in sports have been around for centuries. Male and female genders are
treated differently in more than one way. The research I have gathered show the differences in all
aspects of sports related business areas such as, ticket sales, facilities, price of tickets, media coverage,
Sports Illustrated covers, and sports reporters. The purpose of this research is to bring attention the
disparities that women follow in the business of sports. Women are stereotyped, discriminated against,

and show how male sports have taken priority over women s sports. Gender Challenges in Ticket
Sales In 1994 the ticket prices for 308 different universities within the NCAA division 1 men s and
women s basketball teams were validated in a study. The study shows that men s prices started out
higher than the price of women s basketball tickets. From 1994 to 1997 both men s and women s
ticket prices increased a quarter. (p. 229) by 1997 men s basketball tickets totaled to be $9.75 and
women s tickets were $4.75. (p. 230) Analysis shows that the increase in men s tickets compared to
women s is shown through the evaluation of each athletic program.(p. 234) For example, the
University of Tennessee women s basketball program is stronger than the men s basketball program
therefore ticket sells for the UT women s basketball is going to be a higher margin than the men. The
University of Kentucky men s basketball program is stronger than the women s so the big blue fan
base would be paying a higher price to watch the wildcats play at Rupp Arena than the lady cats
playing Memorial Coliseum. The discrepancy in gender shows that the ticket prices for men tend to be
higher than women. From the study in the early 90 s to now the ticket pricing has shown more equity
in both genders athletic events. Discrimination in Olympics News Coverage The

How Is Percy Jackson AArchetype Hero In The Lighting Thief
Percy Jackson is a threat because he has stolen Zeus lightning bolt. Percy Jackson in the book the
Lighting thief by Rick Riordan, is a mighty warrior because he possesses the characteristics such as
selflessness, bravery, and perseverance when he goes on a journey to the dead to retrieve his mother
and the lightning bolt. Also, Percy has to face Medusa, a Minotaur, a fury, half bloods, and the
Olympians gods in order to complete his call to adventure. Only a true archetype hero can manage to
complete these tasks. Is Percy a true archetype hero? Percy Jackson had accomplished many tasks. If
it was an ordinary person they would never be able to accomplish one task. Percy is no ordinary boy
on earth. It all started at his birth. Percy had an unusual birth circumstance, his father is the god of the
sea, and his mother is Sally Jackson a human. According to the text He was kind, Percy, she said. Tall,
handsome, and powerful. But gentle, too. You have his black hair, you know, and his green eyes. This

never knew that his Father is one of the Olympians gods. Another archetype present in The Lightning

the future of warship construction, forever changing Naval Warfare. After visiting the past through the

the battle itself but the events leading up to it.
The union had a plan to block the confederacy by placing union ships around it. This particular battle
was a small, taking place in Hampton roads, but the size of the battle has no effect on its significance.
The battle is fought between the CSS (confederate states ship) Virginia, formerly called the

Operate Conditioning : People learn and are influenced by the results of what they do. It s also when
people s behaviour is affected by consequences, reinforcements and learning based on exploration of
the environment. Skinner divided the consequences of actions into these three groups... 1. Positive
reinforcement using positive reinforcement such as stickers, attention and praise. 2. Negative
reinforcements this also makes children repeat behaviour but in different ways e.g.: If a child does
well in an exam therefore they don t have to do their chores. 3. Punishers designed to prevent you
from repeating behaviour e.g.: if a child burns themselves on a hot oven they wouldn t touch it again.
Skinner found that unpredictable reinforcements work better than continual. Influence on practice We
use positive reinforcements in practice today. Giving children lots of praise to help them learn positive
behaviour we also give out stickers to encourage repeated good behaviour. Pavlov and Watson are
both associated with classical conditioning which is when you are taught to act a certain way by
association and instruction. We do not use this in practice today but it helps us to understand phobias
such as a child being scared of spiders because mummy is and always screams when she sees one.

more time doing what they please rather than the tasks plagued with us today. The key to all this

The Importance Of Women s Rights And The Fight For Equality
Amelia Earhart once said, Women, like men, should try to do the impossible. And when they fail, their
failure should be a challenge to others (Earhart, n.d.). To me this statement means whether we are
women or men we shall forever challenge ourselves because when we fail, it should give us the
motivation to strive to accomplish more. For generations women have tried to be equal to men. From
generations before us, women were housewives and only housewives. They took care of their
children, men, and chores. However, there are now women in our military, there are some women are
business owners, chief executives, and much more. However, there is still more changes that need to
be made where women and men can be considered equal in all countries.
Women s rights and the fight for equality has come a long way in the United States. Decades before us
the Women s suffrage came into play (History, 2010). It was a way for women to stand up and protest
for their rights as a human because no matter If you re a man or a woman everyone should have equal
equality. However, it took awhile for the women to be heard, but when they did, they passed the law
for women to have the right to vote in 1920. Which is known as the 19th Amendment (History, 2010).
Considering the law that was being passed, over eight million women across the United States voted
for the very first time. Ever since then, women s right had continued to grow. Especially during World

Short End Of The Stick Essay
Short End of the Stick
With controversy always being prevalent amongst Americans, it s easy to question the very meaning
of democracy. Is democracy an individual prerogative or should there be an arbiter of democracy?
Paul Loeb argues that the popular democratic perspective preserves a true sense of democracy,
responsibility, and American individualism. On the other end of the rainbow, John Mueller enlightens
readers to an elite democratic perspective suggesting that, self interest and inequality will inevitably
characterize democracies, ultimately failing us, so the best solution to decision making in America is
to let white collared government officials determine what is best for the whole nation . In all fairness,
parents do make decisions for their children because parents are typically more knowledgeable and
know what is best for the child. However, when did these elitist become the parents of the American
people and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It s like some secret men s club at times. Humans want incentives, so when the costs outweigh the
benefits of being politically active, people stay home. Instead of getting bullies, or elites to vote for us,
the People should pick up their lunch money from the ground and vote for themselves. Loeb claims
that in a politically divided nation, victory will go to the side that turns out the greatest numbers of
their most marginal supporters.
Also, educated doesn t mean moral. A smart person or group of people can manipulate a myriad of
citizens to do the craziest things. Take drinking the kool aid for example it happened because a
political figure in that society swindled people into believing that they were killing themselves for a
good cause. Well now they re all dead, and what came of it? Not much. If American citizens don t
vote, powerful officials can make decisions that benefit them instead of the

Brain Acquired Brain Injury
The brain is vital to the functioning of every human being. After studying the brain for a whole
semester, it made me realize how important it is to keep the brain health and protected. God made
human being very complex, and trying to understand how each organ relates to each other has been a
challenge for anyone in the medical field. Each year, new techniques are discovered as to what, where
and how the human brain operates. There are discoveries made in the medical field everyday that were
not known before. The brain is the part of the central nervous system that encompasses the cranium
that consist of the forebrain (prosencephalon), the midbrain (mesencephalon) and the hindbrain
(rhombencephalon). If the brain is damage due to an acquired brain injury, it can ... Show more

The brain is a mass of soft, spongy, pinkish gray nerve tissue that is estimated to weigh about 2.65
pounds or 1.2 kg in an adult human being. (Farlex, 2018) Billions of nerve cells are what the brain is
made of, each being intricately connected to one another. The connection to the body is by way of the
spinal cord which is also a part of the central nervous system. The brain comprises the nerve centers,
which control many involuntary functions, such as circulation, temperature regulation, and respiration,
and interpret sensory impressions received from the eyes, ears, and other sense organs. (Farlex, 2018)
It also includes consciousness, emotion, thought, and reasoning, and the area for associative memory
which allows the individual to recall past events. The cerebrum is an outer coating or medically called
the cerebral cortex. This consists of gray matter that is several layers deep and is the largest portion of
the brain, receiving information on the conscious movement of the body. The temporal lobe is a center
for memory where memories are filed and stored. The thalamus is

How Did Napoleon Influence The French Revolution
The French revolution is notably the start of the creation of modern Europe. Within this revolution, the
country experienced a drastic change in power and in government. Along with the French Revolution,
the rise of Napoleon, played a huge role in the changes in Europe economy. Under napoleons rule and
conquest, similar to the French revolution, citizens experienced great depression, debt, and confusion.
Similar to the American Revolution, the French revolution was influenced by enlightenment ideas
particularly the concepts of popular sovereignty and inalienable rights. With a high percentage of the
non aristocratic member taking a high percentage of the Third Estate, the lower class could easily have
been out voted. The citizens wanted voting to be based more on actual votes instead of by your status.
The nobles on the other hand were not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During his reign he strived to reestablish French aristocracy, which was eliminated in the French
revolution. He began this by putting his family and loyal friends into power giving those titles of the
nobility. His power continued to expand across much of western and central continental Europe. It
wasn t until Russia left the continental system that the French would engage in a full scale battle. This
battle lead to the downfall of Napoleon rule. With the invasion of Moscow, his army suffered heavy
casualties which would then be considered the Battle of Borodino. Russians set fire to the city, forcing
Napoleons army to starve, due to harsh weather freeze, and die off. This action became the defeat and
end of the Napoleonic Wars. Both the rule of Napoleon and the French Revolution caused great chaos
for the European countries. Despite his epic defeat, many of the Napoleonic codes are still the basis of
law in France in modern day. The Modern French government would not have been developed without
the actions of the French revolution nor the rule of

Is It Moral To End The Life Of A Fetus
Abortion is one of the most debated issues in society today. For now avoid the question of legality and
ask the moral question. Is it moral to end the life of a human fetus? Does the fetus have any rights and
any value? Science tells us that you have human life at the moment of conception. Keith L. Moore and
T.V.N. Persaud write A zygote is the beginning of a new human being. A human being begins at
fertilization, the process by which a male sperm and the female egg combine to form a single cell
called a zygote. Pro choice advocates say that a fetus has no rights because it is not a person. If this is
the case that doesn t mean a fetus has no value or rights. Dogs, giraffes, lions, even chickens are all
living beings, not people, yet they have rights and value. A living being doesn t have to be a human in
order to have value and rights.
Another argument pro choice advocates make is the rights of the mother, that she has the right to end
her fetus s life for whatever reason she deems necessary. This is only moral if we believe that the fetus
has no worth. We can agree that most people think that a fetus has infinite worth if the mother wants

Women use the common argument, My body, my choice. Now that is completely correct. However the
fetus is not her body, it is in her body. It is a separate body from her own, that s why the mother doesn
t die when you kill the fetus. The fetus has its own heart and brain. Keith Moore writes, By the time a
baby is eighteen to twenty five days old...the heart is already beating. At forty five days after
conception, you can pick up electroencephalographic waves from the baby s developing brain. At
eight weeks, there is a brain. The fetus is its own separate body. No one ever asks, How s your body?
when referring to the fetus. People ask, How s the baby? Therefore it is not the woman s body and the
argument, My body, my choice. is

Introduction
Your hear thunder and lightning screaming. A cannon flies through the air and with a roaring bang,
crashes down on the road before you. You are protected the walls of the earthworks you had helped

clutched in their hands. You hear the son of a gun fire, and then another gun fires, and another. Your
commander shouts, Fire . You load your gun and press the trigger. Bang! The fight has begun.

The battle of bunker hill was the first battle that the patriots and the British were fighting against each
other. Even though the British had won this war the battle it was clearer that the British were have a

Andrew Kennedy s Article On Credibility Of The Author
Article No.: 4
Credibility of the author:
The author of this source is Chloe Kennedy, a regarded journalist with over 650 articles written
spanning over 16 years. Within this vast experience, she has worked for numerous publications, with
the City Messenger, the Leader Messenger, The Advertiser, the News Review Messenger and the
Standard Messenger being some of the few. Being so widely read, it is likely that this will increase the
reliability of her work; mistakes are less likely where a reputation may be implicated. However,
though the City Messenger appears to be a legitimate newspaper, by nature such articles may not
always be fully reliable, and this must be taken into consideration. As no more information could be

Opposing opinion was that residential heritage properties were of the high value that their owners had
paid a premium to secure.
Heritage buildings have higher capital growth than newer properties, as they are not competitors of
newer developments.
Most heritage listed homes should achieve an increase in value, provided they are well maintained.
Residents themselves consider a listed home to be of higher value, and want to see their homes and
other heritage homes preserved.
However, possible decreases in value as a result of development prohibition could also stem from
heritage legislation.
Any loss in value because of listing could be offset by grants from the government available
specifically for this purpose.
Evaluation of information:
This article s primary sources are the opinions of government candidates, and it provides no evidence
as to the validity of these statements, other than corroboration between the four men. As such, it has
unsubstantiated opinion, a detriment to reliability.
Although the amount of research conducted is valid to the nature of the source, it is insufficient for in
depth study purposes. There are no official studies or other valid sources used in this article and a
bibliography, naturally, is not provided.
The arguments are concluded well from the information that is presented, and it carries

Shi s Visit To Loudong A new design of inscription on the body of the teapot emerged during Shi s visit to Loudong (modern day Taicang of the Jiangsu province), a place where many tea connoisseurs resided. Wu Qian did not mention whether Shi had personally meet with Chen Jiru (hao Meigong, 1558 1639), Wang Xijue (1534 1614) and Wang Shizhen (1526 1590), all of whom were well known local elite in Loudong; however, it was clear that Shi, at some points, had heard of some of their theories of tea tasting and decided to make some new changes to his teapots. Since most of the artisans were not trained to be calligraphers, Shi like all of his contemporary potters, either stamped or carved his personal seals at bottom of the teapots with a bamboo knife during the ... To achieve an efficient use of resources it would be better if governments intervened to affect both the production and the use of cars. Explain the meaning of the terms market failure and the efficient use of resources and analyse whether economic theory can be used to support this argument. [25] Market failure exists when the operation of a market does not lead to economic efficiency. It is a situation where a free market does not produce the best use of scarce resources. Typical examples are when externalities are present, when there is monopoly power or where it is necessary for public and merit goods to be provided by the government or even when there is possible excessive profits or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It might allow the production firms to finally achieve allocative efficiency. In conclusion, the consumption of cars creates both positive and negative externalities. However the negative externalities it is more than its positive externalities so producers tend to overvalue and over produce. The government tries to intervene by imposing taxes on the production of cars. However this is not usually effective as the imposion of taxes depends on the elasticity of the product. The demand of cars is not price elastic. In the diagram above, we have a normal downward sloping demand curve and two upward sloping supply curves. The lower one, the marginal private cost, represents the car firm s supply curve (remember that the firm s supply curve is also its marginal cost curve). The other one, the marginal social cost, represents the true supply curve (and, therefore, the true marginal cost of production) for society as a whole, allowing for the external cost of production. This external cost is represented by the vertical distance between the two supply curves (AB). The car firm does not care about the pollution. The owner is simply interested in maximizing profits. The equilibrium price for him is where demand equals his supply curve, at point B, so output will be Q1 with price at P1. Given that there is pollution, though, the optimal point for the whole of society is at C, where output is Q2 and price P2. Hence, if left to the free ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Carnival And Calypso Dance The West Indian Dance of Calypso has a long history. Where its origins trace back to Africa it s become popularized in Trinidadian culture and becomes the most popular around the holiday time of Christmas. Since Calypso and Carnival have such strong connections there is some background information that you definitely need to know. Carnival and Calypso are part of the colonial and post colonial history of Caribbean islands such as Trinidad and Antigua. As early as the 18th century, Africans, who were at the time slaves living in Antigua, celebrated Carnival. They had used these dances as a form of communication between each other, often times this was used to mock the slave masters without them knowing. During this time in the 18th century the French planters used carnival times to celebrate the period as a pre Lenten celebration, which was basically a preparation period for the coming of lent . (Hughes) All through these carnivals involved street procession costumes, music, dancing, and feasting. The culture continued even after the British changed the French as colonial rulers. all through colonial instances, slaves held separate celebrations. Their Carnival practices included stick fighting, dancing, drumming, making a song and the staging of quick plays. role playing turned into an integral a part of Carnival and remains the case these days. It began at 2:00 on February 19,1945 in the Pacific ocean on the island of Iwo Jima, 650 miles from Tokyo (The Battle Japan, Battle of Iwo Jima). Soldiers say that the first day of the war was the worst because so many casualties had happened so many loved ones were lost (Chenoweth 237). The bodies were all over the place. 30,000 U.S. marines landed on the shore the first day. The first soldiers were attacked by the Japanese (World war II). A case study of two organizations of different scale in Asia By Raveenderen Ramamoothie Strategy execution is a topic of practical importance and its success depends on how an organization integrates and aligns the business units and the employee performance to the strategic goals of the organization. • 12. Essay on Byron s Don Juan Byron s Don Juan No Formal Ending is Needed Lord Byron s chief masterpiece is probably the comic epic Don Juan, which occupied its author from 1818 until nearly the end of his life (Trueblood 14 15). The sheer length of the poem is in itself impressive; its seventeen cantos take Juan through a variety of adventures, including the famous affair with Donna Julia, the sojourn with Haidee, experiences in Turkey and later in Russia as a slave, and finally episodes in England among high society (Boyd 22 30). Remarkably, however, Don Juan as Byron left it is obviously unfinished. Further, the poem was not published in an absolutely complete form until nearly eighty years after Byron s death (Steffan III 562). The unfinished state of Don ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A great variety of conjecture is employed in them as to the fate of the poem s hero; among the conclusions one finds Juan saving Aurora Raby from fire, travelling to Scotland, being guillotined in the French Revolution, and turning into a reformed man who spends much of his time in prayer, in accordance with the values of the rising Victorian period (Chew 136ff.). But none of these seems to capture the true Byronic spirit. Samuel C. Chew, who describes these pseudo Juans in detail, summarizes his findings: On the whole, despite some scanty exceptions to the contrary, poverty of invention and servile imitation of Byron s mannerisms, with no ray of his genius, characterize the entire series of continuations . . . . [With a possible exception or two,] not one merits for its own sake even such feeble renewal of life as is given it in the pages of this article (146 7). The editions of the true Don Juan available in the nineteenth century certainly encouraged these spurious sequels; they lacked the fragmentary seventeenth canto Byron had written before going to Greece (Coleridge 1013n.). Consequently, the reader of that day was left with a far more abrupt ending than we now have: at Canto XVI s end, Juan, who thinks he is encountering a ghost, puts forth his hand to touch it and unmasks her frolic Grace Fitz Fulke, who has had a lustful eye on him ever ... Nurture Strongly Influences Early Human Development Roshan Akthar Jahir Hussain 200821027 Nurture strongly influences early human development Introduction While nature produces healthy, well formed infants, nurture helps in developing them in the early stages of their lives through practice and experience. It means that the early development of a human is effective and faster by nurture than what comes out of nature. All children go through the same sequences of growth and development in the same order right from their mother s womb, be it the development of parts of the body and the development of organs, motor development after birth, development of speech, etc.. Nature leads to ordinary development of a fetus into a human but it cannot develop an infant into a healthy minded or ... So, it can be clearly noted from above that a fetus can be completely organized and well developed only when given quality nurturing. Influence of genetics and environment on the motor development of a child after birth All children go through the same sequence of motor behaviors in the same order but they go through the sequence at different rates. It is because those children who are not given attention or taken good of (nurtured) are seen to develop in a slower rate than those who are given quality nurture. Even if a child is born physically challenged, he/she can be trained or given physiotherapy treatment to improve him/her to at least take care of their own selves. This clearly illustrates that practice and experience makes a child to learn things faster and in a much better way than those children who are left unnoticed. Genetic and environmental influence on a child s development of speech All human infants learn to speak in the course of normal development, but not until they have attained a certain level of neurological development. It is applicable for both, children who are given as well as children who are given quality nurture. • 16. Descriptive Essay On A Walk In The Park A Walk in the Park A ways away from a town that I call home, I found a happy place. I often find myself walking through the park by myself. The beautiful trees, the way the yellow and red leaves crumple under my feet every step I take. When the flowers bloom and how it s the most spectacular sight you could ever imagine seeing, all the different colors that appear. When you breathe in and you get this smell of purity, you feel free and alive. Sometimes I like to sit on the old wooden bench where the bench frame is a little rusted, and I get rid of my thoughts and my eyes search the sky. In the winter the icy breeze makes me shiver, and the cold air I take in, is like sitting in front of an air conditioner and breathing in. Some mornings the sun beams across the sky, which is not quite blue yet, but the sun has almost fully risen. When the wind blows, it grazes over the blades of grass. Some days I just stand and take a deep breath in and I can taste the spring. When summer comes around, and the bees are buzzing, and the hot sun beats on the back of my neck, I lay on the soft grass and listen, to the birds chirping a beautiful song, and the kids playing in the park. The sky is the bluest view in sight. Walking through the trail full of mud and leaves always made me think about my life. It was always there when I needed to walk and get things off my mind. Looking around watching the leaves fall off tree after tree flying like butterflies, all different colors. When they stopped, they immediately died and they were not coming back alive again. Piled leaves filled up under trees and children ran and jumped on them like they were pillows. These trees tripled the height of humans with numerous branches holding hundreds of leaves. While walking the river flows and it is such a beautiful view with the sun shining right off of it. The ducks and little birds chirping and floating through the smooth water puts a joy to my face. The Elasticity Of Imports From Asian Countries Price Elasticities in Asia Bruce Cadwallader, Kelsey Seeds, Mary Taylor, Gloria Tolson Ohio Dominican University MBA640 The Issue The issue at hand is the elasticity of imports and exports in Asian countries and why the import and export demand elasticities are not constant as one would think. Import and export demand can change the price and income variables of a country. The study found that in Asian countries, if imports are price inelastic there will be a rise in import prices and will lead to an increase in the import bill. If imports of these countries are income elastic, an increase in incomes will lead to a more proportionate increase in imports. If exports from Asian countries are price inelastic, export earnings will rise as the prices increase. If exports from these countries are income elastic, an increase in incomes worldwide will lease to a greater than proportionate increase in exports (Keat, Young Erfle, 2013). The study consisted of five different Asian countries, India, Japan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. It was found that all five countries had inelastice price and income elasticities on import demand. Whereas, three of the five countries were price elastic on export demand, but only Japan was income elastic on export demand (Sinha, 2001). When Charlie was approached by a pair of scientists with the proposition of undergoing a revolutionary surgery to increase his intelligence, he readily agreed, thinking that the smarter he was, the more liked he would be. However, it is indisputable that Charlie was the happiest after the operation, when his I.Q. had sunk back down to a measly sixty eight. His relationships thrived in light of his recent life events, he was protected by the innocence and childlike naïveté of his mental state, and his learning ethic returned to a need to know basis. • 41. The Importance Of Women s Rights And The Fight For Equality Amelia Earhart once said, Women, like men, should try to do the impossible. And when they fail, their failure should be a challenge to others (Earhart, n.d.). To me this statement means whether we are women or men we shall forever challenge ourselves because when we fail, it should give us the motivation to strive to accomplish more. For generations women have tried to be equal to men. From generations before us, women were housewives and only housewives. They took care of their children, men, and chores. However, there are now women in our military, there are some women are business owners, chief executives, and much more. However, there is still more changes that need to be made where women and men can be considered equal in all countries. Women s rights and the fight for equality has come a long way in the United States. Decades before us the Women s suffrage came into play (History, 2010). It was a way for women to stand up and protest for their rights as a human because no matter If you re a man or a woman everyone should have equal equality. However, it took awhile for the women to be heard, but when they did, they passed the law for women to have the right to vote in 1920. Which is known as the 19th Amendment (History, 2010). Considering the law that was being passed, over eight million women across the United States voted for the very first time. Ever since then, women s right had continued to grow. Especially during World War II, women s employment increased ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

On the other end of the rainbow, John Mueller enlightens readers to an elite democratic perspective suggesting that, self interest and inequality will inevitably characterize democracies, ultimately failing us, so the best solution to decision making in America is to let white collared government officials determine what is best for the whole nation . Humans want incentives, so when the costs outweigh the benefits of being politically active, people stay home. Instead of getting bullies, or elites to vote for us, the People should pick up their lunch money from the ground and vote for themselves. Loeb claims that in a politically divided nation, victory will go to the side that turns out the greatest numbers of their most marginal supporters. Also, educated doesn t mean moral. • 45. Is It Moral To End The Life Of A Fetus Abortion is one of the most debated issues in society today. For now avoid the question of legality and ask the moral question. Is it moral to end the life of a human fetus? Does the fetus have any rights and any value? Science tells us that you have human life at the moment of conception. Keith L. Moore and T.V.N. Persaud write A zygote is the beginning of a new human being. A human being begins at fertilization, the process by which a male sperm and the female egg combine to form a single cell called a zygote. Pro choice advocates say that a fetus has no rights because it is not a person. If this is the case that doesn t mean a fetus has no value or rights. Dogs, giraffes, lions, even chickens are all living beings, not people, yet they have rights and value. A living being doesn t have to be a human in order to have value and rights. Another argument pro choice advocates make is the rights of the mother, that she has the right to end her fetus s life for whatever reason she deems necessary. This is only moral if we believe that the fetus has no worth. We can agree that most people think that a fetus has infinite worth if the mother wants to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
