Artificial Intelligence ( Unmanned Aerial Vehicle ) Essay
Within the construction industry, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is beginning to take jobsites by storm. If
someone were to walk onto a jobsite today, someone in that location would be using AI. Current uses
of AI today span from mobile technology that supervision uses to man a jobsite to an actual robot
pouring concrete or welding a pipe. With the technology improvements being made daily, there will be
a day few people will consist of the workforce on the job, and the rest will be some sort of robotics.
Among the Artificial Intelligence being used or that will be the future are: Drones/UAV (Unmanned
Aerial Vehicle), SAM (Semi Automated Mason), robotic welding, Autonomous TMA (Truck Mounted
Attenuator) Truck, and Contour Crafting.
Drones/UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) A lot of people may think of drones, also known as UAV
(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), as the toys children play with in the yard after opening their Christmas
gifts, but for the construction industry, it means so much more. Drones are capable of a multitude of
things, and for business owner s and clients, the most important thing is getting the job done sooner
with reduced costs. Previously, layouts of jobsites took weeks. The land had to be surveyed to verify if
the soil was appropriate and whether it needed to be graded or not. Areas had to be marked off where
each trade would store their material. Physical surveying of the area with tripods had to be done, as
well, for the specific layout and placement of the

Threats And Vulnerabilities Of Itrust
When discussing the threats and vulnerabilities of iTrust, it is important to identify the security
measures to potentially rectify or prevent additional security issues. The iTrust database application
presented quite a few threats and vulnerabilities. One threat discussed is the threat of a facility not
having the proper equipment needed to run a secure organization. For proper security, an organization
may need to invest in equipment or devices that are more secure out of the box. This means that
computers and/or devices that are straight out of the box are deemed to be more secure in comparison
to a computer/device that have been used.
In many cases, though the computer/device may have been swiped clean, it poses a much greater
threat if the system was susceptible to certain vulnerabilities before. In addition, with these secure out
of the box systems it is important to verify proper installation. Organizations need to be sure that third
party vendors are completely authorized to assure the information that is being installed and updated is
secure in the hands of vendors/suppliers.
Another issue that needs addressing when it comes to security is the configuration that is established
in iTrust. The iTrust organization has an issue with user access. When discussing user access
configuration, an organization may want to analyze possible configuration management. This would
entail having a server administrator that would monitor the content in a repository. In this

High School Vs. College Student
High school Student vs. College Student School plays an important role in our life. Many of us will
spend more than fifteen years at school in order to get the qualifications that are required to work in a
specific field. Of course, those years are broken down into several levels, some of them being more
liked than others. Two important steps that we go through are high school and college. Even though
some people would think they are almost similar, yet there are significant differences between them.
The cost of high school education is not the same as the cost of college education. Also, some
differences apply from an academic point of view. Typically, the social environment also differs from
high school to college, a fact that can be related to the question of freedom versus responsibility. It is
true to say that college is more expensive than high school. Of course, it provides a higher level of
education, but by having such high fees it does not give a chance to them; coming from a family with
a low income. Also, at college you have to buy your own books whereas in high school you borrow
them from the school for a year. As they do for high schools, the government should pay for the books
and then borrow them to students, as they do in high schools. Paying for the education you get is
expensive, but many people have to pay even more. Many cities do not have colleges, so students who
want to get a higher

Virtual Meeting Platform Plays A Crucial Role
As technology is advancing, more tools have emerged in the workplaces to increase the productivity
and efficiency of the corporate. Large corporate nowadays has unemployed larger ratio of human
capital to decrease cost and most importantly, increase the efficiency because of automation of
technology. Arguments on regard to this has been going on and off constantly and people all have a
common question in mind, if the efficiency really means what it supposed to be? Of all the
technologies we are utilized currently, virtual meeting platform plays a crucial role. The use of virtual
meeting platform has significantly shorten the time employees spend on client s site, decreased travel
expense and enable the employee to discuss with client at the convenience of their home or office.
However, bottom lines are not proving to increase significantly as expected due to lack of personal
contact (trust) value, learning value and group synergy gain value.
Review/Analysis of the Case According to Eilif Trondsen, He mentioned The trend toward a virtual
workplace is driven by growing numbers of workers spending too much time in the field, interacting
with customers, business partners, and collaborators and spending less time in traditional office . Due
to the costly time and expense on traveling to customer s site, most corporates are not hesitated to
switching to virtual meeting. Employer now can hire less people since they can do the web training
and conference online while saving time

Missouri Compromise In The 1800s
From the very beginning of the United States there was disagreement and compromise. From whether
they should revolt against England to who should lead the country. From its onset, the country was
destined for disagreement and compromise as it is governed by a democracy. This system lends itself
to compromise as not everyone can get their way. With compromise there are situations where no one
wins, as the compromise does more harm than good. The Missouri Compromise of 1820 is an
example of both sides believing they got what they wanted but looking back it was a compromise that
benefitted no one. It is crucial to understand and learn from the past to ensure the same mistakes are
not made twice. To understand the Missouri Compromise, one must ... Show more content on

Sectionalism was the excessive regard for one s region of the country more so than for the country as a
whole. In the context of the United States this was the regard for either the north or south. This divide
came about as a result of differing lifestyles with the south being a more agriculturally driven place
whereas the north was industrialized. Also included in this divide was the slavery issue, as the north
opposed slavery and the south relied upon it for their survival. The Missouri Compromise heavily
impacted this division between north and south as it pitted the two against each other on an issue that
was their core difference. On top of this issue the Missouri Compromise also created a line that
geographically divided the north and south. The 36 30 parallel was a line that prevented slavery from
crossing north, but it was also seen as a line that divided the two ways of life. Thomas Jefferson wrote
in a letter to Congressman John Holmes his concerns regarding a line dividing the country. In the
letter he wrote ...but this momentous question, like a fire bell in the night, awakened and filled me
with terror. I considered it at once as the knell of the Union. it is hushed indeed for the moment. but
this is a reprieve only, not a final sentence. A geographical line, coinciding with a marked principle,
moral and political, once conceived and held up to the angry passions of men, will never be
obliterated; and every new irritation will mark it deeper and deeper. The fear that Thomas Jefferson
expressed to his friend would ultimately come to fruition as the imaginary line agreed upon to limit
slavery was for the most part the dividing line for Civil War which would occur 40 years

The Ones Who Walk Away By Ursula Le Guin
The Ones Who Walk Away is a short story by Ursula Le Guin. Le Guin bases this story off of an idea
posed by philosopher William James, which is how hideous would it be if people were willing to
accept the torment of one person for the sake of a perfect society. Le Guin paints this reality in a
Utilitarian city named Omelas in order to show the flaws within the Utilitarian belief system. In
Omelas people are able to indulge themselves in their wildest fantasies without any negative effects.
The people are portrayed as being happy, passionate, mature, and intelligent. Their happiness is based
solely on a just discrimination of what is necessary (231). Le Guin states that in Omelas there are no
clergy, but there can be religion. This leads to the people having no guilt because they are able to
indulge in their fleshly desires without anyone to inform them that it is wrong. What Le Guin is
portraying here is a nominal religion where one can claim to believe yet refuses to act out their faith.

child seem less human. She claims that no one knows whether or not the child is a girl or a boy, and
she uses the pronoun it to describe the child. She also illustrates the child s living conditions, which

His fascination with silk screen as an instrument for mass production led him to open a studio, dubbed
The Factory, where he later made his films.
The Factory became a center for pop and would be pop stars. It attracted a wide variety of glamorous
people and an assortment of characters in the art and performing worlds. Although many of Warhol s
films, such as Sleep (1963), Eat (1963), and Empire (1965), were lengthy depictions of the most
mundane activity or object, some of his works anticipated future film themes or ridiculed certain
subjects. Lonesome Cowboys (1968) treated homosexuality when it was taboo as a subject for
commercial films and, at the same time, challenged the cowboy myth of courageous, macho riders of
the range. With such works as Flesh (1968) and Trash (1970), Warhol focused on sexual themes.
These were the forerunners of the pornographic film market of the 1970s and 1980s. By the mid 1970s
his Andy Warhol s Dracula (1974) and Andy Warhol s Frankenstein (1974) enjoyed commercial
success as satiric yet serious works. From 1963 to 1974, he had been involved in the production of
more than sixty films of varying quality and subject matter.
Warhol and other pop artists drew their inspiration and imagery from popular culture, but they

The Controversy Of Appeasement In The 20th Century
Appeasement can be sighted to the 20th Century as a controversial foreign policy. Appeasement
literally means to pacify or conciliate (Hallock, Stephanie, The World in the 20th Century, 06 05 2016,
p 82). It is also defined by the words of Chamberlain in September 1938, As long as a war has not
begun there is always hope that it may be prevented and you know that I am going to work for peace
to the last moment (Hallock, Stephanie, The World in the 20th Century, 06 05 2016, p 82). The words
summarize the core of the ideas and thoughts behind appeasement. Although rooted in good
intentions, appeasement sparked controversy in the 20th Century due to its effects on the Treaty of
Versailles and political stance. The most significant moment of history which led to ... Show more

After the Great War, the Treaty of Versailles was signed. There were many rules imposed on Germany
in this treaty. Once Germany began to break the Treaty of Versailles, this gave rise to appeasement.
Germany started rebuilding its military. The Treaty of Versailles was disregarded by Germany based
on those actions. Moreover, Germany took control of Rhineland. This was yet another event that broke
the treaty. Also, Germany took over Austria and parts of Czechoslovakia. As Germany continued to
break the treaty, the other nations decide to appease Germany. The Great War was devastating and the
other countries were committed to seeking peaceful resolutions at the time (CITE). The policy of
appeasement was used as a chance to preserve peace. It was highly controversial, as it allowed
Germany to break the Treaty of Versailles without repercussion. Germany was making further and
further advancements in its own personal motive. Appeasement was sighted to be controversial
because, in retrospection, Germany was allowed to get out of control. Many of Germany s surround

Lee De Forest, who exhibited brief sound films to the public in 1923, pioneered both of these
developments. Although the public failed to respond to De Forest s sound films, electronics
manufacturers continued to experiment with both sound on film and phonograph discs synchronized
with film. In 1926, Warner Brothers released a program using synchronized discs; it included short
talking and musical films and a silent feature, Don Juan , with a synchronized accompaniment.
William Fox in 1927, and later that year he also released the first sound newsreels released a short
sound on film comedy with spoken dialogue. Public acceptance of sound came on Oct. 6, 1927, when
Warner Brothers presented Al Jolson singing and saying a few words in The Jazz Singer . The first full
length all sound film was The Lights of New York , issued by Warner Brothers in 1928. The success of
sound revolutionized the film industry. Theaters had to install sound projection equipment, and film
studios had to find methods of soundproofing cameras and stages. Movement in most of the early
sound films appeared static, because cameras had to be enclosed in soundproof boxes that were
difficult to move. Eventually cameras with noiseless gears were developed; microphones were put on
booms, or poles, which could be extended as needed. Early

Fiscal policy is much more effective at promoting economic growth than monetary policy. This is
because if using monetary policy to reduce the cost of money has no effect on the exchange rate, it
does nothing to stimulate exports and discourages imports.
Effectiveness of the Monetary Policy
Monetary policy is a more effective tool for economic stimulus than fiscal policy under a floating
exchange rate system, in other words a system in which the currencies of trading countries can
increase or decrease in value. For example attempts to stimulate economic growth by reducing the
cost of money (cutting interest rates), the resulting effects on the exchange rate reducing it against
other currencies will stimulate exports while making imports more expensive. This adds impetus to
the intended economic stimulus.
Responsible Institutions
A combination of fiscal and monetary policy is generally used to steer the economy in a desired
direction. Although governments direct fiscal policy, many countries delegate responsibility for
monetary policy to central banks. This strategy prevents governments from manipulating interest rates
for short term political advantage and promotes stability in the money supply as well as in the price of
goods.

That Evening Sun By William Faulkner And The Poem Analysis
In both the short story That Evening Sun by William Faulkner and the poem Poem about My Rights
by June Jordan, racism against blacks is criticized through bringing its evils to the surface by these
literary works. Despite using different literary mediums to convey their messages, both works reveal
to their respective audiences that racism against blacks leads to feelings of inferiority and helplessness
in blacks, a collective fear of the wrath of the white man in blacks, and an indifference in the general
white population towards the fears of blacks. The idea that racism makes blacks feel as if they are
powerless in the domain of whites is something that can be seen within That Evening Sun. In the story,
Nancy lives in fear of her husband Jesus, as she believes that he has returned and plans to kill her.
Nancy is most affected by her fears when she is not around the white Compson family. This is because
Nancy is aware that her husband, being a black man, wouldn t dare commit harm against Nancy when
she is around whites, because he feels powerless around them. This is why Nancy attempts to avoid
her and Jesus s confrontation by sleeping in the Compson household and also by taking the Compson
children to her house. Due to the racism that exists in the time period the story is set in, Jesus cannot
do what he wants to do to Nancy, because being in the dominion of white people essentially takes
away his force. He knows that if he tries to harm Nancy, but in the process

Disadvantages Of Chemotherapy
Cancer is a term used for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and are able to
invade other tissues. Cancer cells can spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph
systems. (National Health Care Institute, nd.) Cancer has four different stages. On stages one and two,
the cancer can still be cured but when the cancer reaches stages three or four, the possibility of curing
the disease is low. Cancer can be treated naturally through herbal medicinal remedies and through the
use of ionizing radiation under chemotherapy. Although chemotherapy can be beneficial in terms of
medical purposes, humans should choose herbal medicinal remedies as treatment for cancer for it is
safer to the body.
Chemotherapy can be beneficial in terms of medicinal purposes. In the process of chemotherapy,

Jeffrey Kluger s The Power Of Birth Order
There are many things that effect a person s personality and future success. Things like gender, race,
ethnicity, and economic stability are all examples of what can affect a person s development, but what
about someone s birth date? Can a person s birth order really effect someone s future? In The Power of
Birth Order Jeffrey Kluger writes about how birth order can determine a person s personality and
success; throughout The Power of Birth Order he established three categories: first born, second born,
and third born.
The first category is called first born, and the people in this category are exactly what the name
declares; they are the eldest child in a group of siblings. People in this category have traits that make
them unique when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

and worked very hard to help her mother support their family. She is currently attending Trevecca
Nazarene University studying to be a teacher. Her brother Roman, the second oldest, is the complete
opposite of her. He is smart, but doesn t like trying in school that much, so his grades suffer. He also
prefers to slack off rather than work. The youngest sibling Samantha is the third born. She is always
trying something new. Samantha is also an artist and likes to express herself through her work. These

Analysis Of D C 121-26-31
At the time the verses in D C 121 26 31 were written in 1839 only 22 of the 100+ major bodies in the

Airway Assesment Of The Difficult Airway Before Manipulation
CHAPTER III
AIRWAY ASSESMENT IN TRAUMA PATIENTS Identification of the difficult airway before
manipulation is the Holy Grail of clinical management. It is the first step in preparing for patient care.
Selection of airway devices, techniques, and procedures all pivot on airway evaluation (Carin, 2008).
Preoperative examination of the airway is essential. Identification of patients with a potentially
difficult airway before anesthesia allows time to plan an appropriate anesthetic technique. Previous
anesthetic records should always be consulted. However, a past record of normal tracheal intubation is
no guarantee against difficulty on subsequent occasions as airway anatomy can be altered as in trauma
affecting the airway. The presence of stridor or hoarse voice is warning sign for the anesthetist. As it is
impossible to identify all patients with a difficult airway during preoperative assessment, the
anesthetist must be prepared to manage the unexpected difficult laryngoscopy (Alan et al,. 2001).
 Historical Indicators of Airway Difficulty: The intent of obtaining an airway history is to elicit
previously known factors indicating that airway management has been (and likely will be) difficult.
Any patient who is awake and capable of coherent conversation should be asked about prior intubation
and ventilation successes or failures. Some patients possess a Medic Alert bracelet indicating a history
of difficult intubation or ventilation and this can be useful in obtunded

Comparison Between Karl Marx And Emile Durkheim
Name: Crystal Henrick FL6132
Compare and contrast the various early European urban theorists as found in Chapter 1 of the course
text. (300 400 words)
The two theorists i ve decided to compare and contrast are Karl Marx and Emile Durkheim. Firstly i ll
compare them to one another. From all the readings I did and past education on these individuals I
found they have a lot of the same views in regards to religion. Both Emlie Durkheim and Karl Marx
believe that religion is a projection of mans hopes and desires. They both also agree that religion plays
a powerful role in influencing the members of a society. While coming up with these theories they
were both more concerned with the human rather than the religion. Both of them did not believe in a
god or gods. It s been said that Marx saw god as idealization of human nature while Durkheim
believed the idea of a god was society itself. They were not religious people so it s interesting that
they did have some of the same views and theories regarding religion in the society.
The differences between them are pretty simple. As I was previously comparing their views on
religion I can continue that with talking about their differences in regards to religion, Marx argues that
religion oppresses the people in the society while Durkheim argues that religion unites the society.
Further; Emile Durkheim was a Functionalist, meaning he looked at society in a scientific way. He
believed that members of the same society all wanted the same

everything from Chinese zodiac animals to Spring Festival couplets in its television commercials. This
approach, combined with relatively long advertising history in the country has made Pepsi Cola the

The Health Economics and Financing textbook provides me a lot of knowledge of how health and
healthcare play important roles in economy. Before reading the textbook, I wasn t really aware that
health could be a key factor that drive economic growth. However, after reading this textbook, I have
learned that healthcare is completely different than any other goods since it is a necessity, and people
tend to pay for healthcare services no matter how much the cost as long as they can afford. Everything
in the textbook is important, but for me, the biggest take away point from the textbook is the
importance of healthcare.
As an necessity, healthcare services has been one of the most important components in our lives.

Introduction . Salt, Scientifically Referred To As Halite,
Introduction
Salt, scientifically referred to as Halite, is chemical composition of Sodium and Chlorine minerals. It s
presence in the everyday lives of individuals is incalculable; Salt is evidently prevalent in our diet and
methods used for food preservation, however, salt is surprisingly present in other elements of our lives
as significant as language. This essay will appreciate the various roles that salt plays along with the
risks that are attached to the ingestion of this particle. Additionally, this paper will outline the history
of salt with specific emphasis placed on its extraction processes, and its influences on the English

The salt bed is subsequently blasted, crushed, and broken into smaller pieces which are brought to the
surface for processing and finessing. The mining of salt beds results in rock salt which is used
primarily as a highway de icer (Kostick 2004). Alternatively, mechanical evaporation occurs through
the vacuum pan process. As described in the article introduced above by Kostick (2004), this energy
conserving process begins with a salt saturated brine which is brought to a boil, rectangular pans with
steam heated immersion coils are used to facilitate the evaporation process (Kostick, 2004). Once the
evaporation occurs, rotating rakes collect the salt and the extracted product is laid out to dry. The
mechanical evaporation of salt saturated solution results in flake shaped salt, often used for cheeses,
butter, and baked goods as described in Kostick (2004).
In the same article, written by Kostick (2004), the author states that the extraction of sea salt requires
an entirely unique process called solar evaporation. Halite isn t the only mineral present in sea water,
because of this, each mineral must be separated from the water in order to extract the salt. First,
seawater is collected distributed in ponds that function to concentrate and ultimately evaporate the
minerals within the water. The brine is subsequently circulated across a multiplicity of interconnected
ponds with the salinity increasing as it transfers

Analysis Of Starry Night
Rachael Brooks
Mrs. Cole
English 4B
23 October 2015 Analyzing Mood and Theme in Starry Night For many, the painting Starry Night, by
Vincent Van Gogh, is simply paint on a canvas. Created in the summer of 1889, while Van Gogh was
in a mental asylum, others perceive the painting as a message of Van Gogh s desire for acceptance and
normalcy. Heavily influenced by the Expressionist movement, Starry Night is a physical
representation of Van Gogh s feelings of melencholy during his stay in the asylum. His troubled mind
allowed Van Gogh to create a painting with a yearning mood. Throughout the years, people have tried
to understand Van Gogh s reason for painting Starry Night. One way that people have used to try to
understand him is through ekphrastic poetry, which is poetry about a work of art, such as Anne Sexton
s The Starry Night poem and Don McClean s Vincent (Starry, Starry Night). While The Starry Night
by Anne Sexton depicts Starry Night as having an ominous mood, the empathetic mood in Vincent
(Starry, Starry Night), by Don McClean, with its use of sympathetic diction, detail, and figurative
language best mirrors that of the original painting. Van Gogh s Starry Night expresses the troubles and
yearnings going on in the artist s mind as he painted. The focal point in the foreground of the painting
is a dark object, blocking the viewer s sight line to the town. This dark object may represent Van Gogh
s insanity blocking his chance at a normal life.

Massachusetts Bay Colony was founded by a group of Puritans known to us today as the Pilgrims.
Because of uneasy and hostile relations with the nearby Pequot Indians, the Pequot War soon started
between the colonists and the natives. Needless to say, the colonists won, but it was at the expense of
several dozen of their own and thousands of Pequots. But despite Indian conflict, exposure, starvation,
famine, disease, and other hardships, the English kept coming to America. In 1619 they were settled
enough that they started bringing African slaves into the middle colonies. Before resorting to Africans,
the colonists had tried to subdue the Indians, but that idea failed before it was created. Zinn writes:
They couldn t force the Indians to work for them, as Columbus had done. They were outnumbered,
and while, with superior firearms, they could massacre the Indians, they would face massacre in
return. They could not capture them and keep them enslaved; the Indians were tough, resourceful,

No One Will Steal My Car Because It s An Old Clunker
Car theft usually happens when you least expect it. You may be walking to your car after a hard day at
the job only to find an empty spot where you thought you left it. As you walk through the parking lot,
hoping against hope that you may have parked it in another spot, the awful feeling finally sinks home:
your car was stolen. Unfortunately, this all too common experience happens to many people because
they weren t prepared. They thought it couldn t happen to them because they acted on common car
misconceptions about theft that left them without a car. Here are three of them: No One Will Steal My
Car Because It s an Old Clunker There are at least two reasons why this is a myth. First, old cars are
easier to steal because they lack the latest anti theft technology of the newest cars. While it s true that
smart thieves do find ways of defeating state of the art anti theft devices, there are fewer of them
around. It s basically a bell shaped curve thing. The more smarts required to steal a car, the fewer the
thieves around with the required smarts. The rest simply go after easy targets like your old clunker.
The second reason is that professional thieves often prefer older cars because ... Show more content on

Benefits Of Free College Education
Having a high school diploma is no longer sufficient to guarantee jobs for many Americans. Soaring
tuition fees and other factors, like dorming, are making attending college nearly impossible for people
in the lower class. This results in them ending up in debt after graduation or not attending college at
all. Implementing free education for all students and ensuring they have equal opportunities to reach
their maximum potential is a human right. To fulfill this right, the government needs to provide an
option that will make higher education more affordable. If college was accessible to students of all
social and economical backgrounds, it would have a significant and beneficial impact nationwide.
When Bernie Sanders first proposed his plan during the 2016 presidential race to eliminate tuition and
fees for students attending public universities, his plan resonated with many young American voters. It
also sparked a national debate over whether free tuition is the way to go if the ultimate goal is to
improve college access and affordability for students from low and middle income families and
ultimately end student debt. President Barack Obama proposed to make two years of community
college free for students across America, and New York s government introduced a tuition free college
program through the Excelsior Scholarship program. However, while these proposals seemed
beneficial, many experts have examined these proposals and their views are very different from one

Jewish Family Meal Analysis
In my experiences with food, most of them have been positive. Being from a Jewish family really
shaped the way that I look at food. For example, at a Passover Seder, we discuss each dish and its
significance in depth. One of the main foods served on this occasion is matzah which is defined as
unleavened bread and which represents the Jews having to escape for their lives before their bread
could rise. Another food that I encounter at a Seder is charoset, which represents the mortar in the
bricks that the Jews used when they were slaves in Egypt. This early introduction to food beings used

The Early Phases and Globalization of Coffee Essay
A commodity is a raw material or primary agricultural product that can be bought and sold. The
market treats it as equipment or nearly so with no regard to who produced it. The original producer
does not make the big money from the good that has become a commodity demanded by consumers. A
commodity s supply and demand is part of one universal market like corn, or wheat. A stereo is
something that would not be considered a commodity. Other things are important about a stereo not
that it is just a stereo but what brand and quality is in consideration when purchasing a stereo. Demand

The grain lost its value and was without quality. The farmer s were not rewarded based on the quality
of the grain but the quantity. This made it very hard to determine the true value of a sack of grain, this
apparent in coffee as well.
We can understand the relation between commodity and trade development through the study of
coffee and it s origins. Over about 90% of coffee is produced in the South, and consumed in the North.
Or a long time Latin America has provided most of the world s coffee. Coffee comes from a cherry
produced by a tree that requires a warm climate without any sudden temperature shifts or frost and it
needs plenty of rain. This climate is ideal for coffee between the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn.
During the movement of coffee from harvest to export the first step is to separate the coffee bean from
the skin and the pulp of the cherry, this results in what is called green coffee. Before it is exported the
coffee is cleaned and sorted into lots that have different quality attributes, something like the grain
elevators. The lots vary as they go from country to country based on the size, the shape shape and the
deficiencies it might have or the way it is processed. At this point in the process the coffee still has it s
individual quality and value.
Coffee is then sent to roasting facilities where it is blended. By manipulating the composition of the

The Common Urinary Tract Infection
Bacterial urinary tract infections represent the most common type of nosocomial infections. Often, the
ability of bacteria to both establish and maintain these infections are directly related to biofilm
formation on indwelling devices or within the urinary tract itself (30). Enterococci (especially E.
faecalis) are one of the main causative agents of urinary tract infection and Catheter associated urinary
tract infections (CAUTIs) besides gram negative pathogens (31, 32). In these infections Biofilm
provides a favorable milieu for microbial survival within the host as the organisms are shielded from
the host immune response, as well as antibiotics and antimicrobial agents (33, 34). Several studies
conducted to introduce main virulence genes of enterococci that are associated with biofilm formation
in these bacteria (11, 13, 17), but virulence mechanism and related genes for biofilm formation are not
well understood (35). In this study we investigated biofilm formation of clinical enterococci isolates
isolated from Urinary tract infections. These strains were characterized for presence of adhesions and
secretory virulence factors. Isolates had diverse presence of virulence from lack to highest amount of
virulence genes. Several previous studies investigated relation of virulence genes and biofilm
formation, especially presence of esp and gel. Enterococci esp has been implicated as a contributing
factor in colonization and persistence of infection within the urinary tract

creating his own ideas in context. Another likely aspect to admire is the social requirement; you
cannot play this game alone. It requires at least two people, but most parties have five to eight players.
This provides a face to face interaction that can lead to bonding and friendships. An example is when a
younger adult who enjoys spending his time with technology is given a chance to have contact with
other people on a similar subject, there is always the chance of making new friends. The game is also
built around performance of characters, based on dice rolls and abilities obtained, and problem solving
skills that the Dungeon Master creates during the game play. Because of it s many parts, Dungeons
and Dragons can attract many different people to enjoy the

The teacher created a display of books about leaves in the library center. Children are encouraged to
take these books during center time. These books are familiar to the children because the teacher read
the books during story time. There are books about the leaves changing color because of the season.
Some books are mathematical concepts such as counting leaves. One of the books the teacher had read
was called Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf by Lois Ehlert. In the arts and craft center, children can paint a
different color leaves they see. There was a display of the different leaves the children have brought
from home. In the science center, they can use the magnifying glass to look at the different types of
leaves. There is a chart on the wall that the children can look at to see which tree the leaf came from.
In the Young Children article. Supporting Children s Learning While Meeting State Standards:
Strategies and Suggestions for Pre K Grade 3 Teachers in Public Schools Contexts , it is mentioned
that those who are involved in a child s learning experience, other than the teachers, wanting to make

Business Skills For A Business
Business skills
Business skills are skills which are needed by candidates for a business to recruit them. I have some
business skills and they are communication skills, confidence, leadership, I am organised and I can
prioritise tasks appropriately. I have extensive experience in delivering presentations to large groups.
This has enhanced my skills such as confidence, clarity and self belief. One of the presentations that I
delivered included designing a new product for coca cola. The goal was to provide a drink that was
healthy as well as attractive to customers. This task provided me with the opportunity to gain new
skills such as research and teamwork. Further to this, I was also able to recognise a few weaknesses
that I was able to improve through teamwork and effective communication such as differences of
opinion and disagreements.
I am very well organised as I always arrive to school on time, with the required books and equipment.
This shows my punctuality and my desire to progress. My school attendance is 100% as I have not
missed a single day of school. I also have a lot of leadership skills because I have been appointed to be
group leader in many situations. For example, when I had to create a podcast for cyber bullying with
my team, I had to show leadership and organise my team by setting them different tasks and giving
them deadlines according to each individuals skill set. This shows that I can be responsible and cope
under pressure.

The Bourne Identity Essay
The Bourne Identity
In this essay, I compared the book, The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum and the film of the same
name, directed by Doug Liman. The main character Jason Bourne was played by Matt Damon and
Marie St. Jacques is played by Franka Potente. The book and movie were extremely different from
each other. The book had more detail of the overall story, easier to comprehend and had character
build up. While the movie seemed to only be interested in the action. I thought the book to be more
fulfilling in its story and the movie to be predictable and tedious (considering I fell asleep). It didn t
take long to notice they were completely different. I wasn t prepared for the movie to be so off from

Washburn studied and made Jason Bourne wait until he thought he was fit to go out into the world, for
instance he made him go on a fishing trip with the hardest fishing crew around to prove his was ready.
As always, Jason Bourne proved he was ready for anything. Geoffrey Washburn was never seen or
mentioned in the movie which like I said was a great disappointment, because that was the upbringing
of Jason Bourne. He is partly responsible to creating the new Jason Bourne. He is also the a great help
to Jason Bourne while he tries to find out who he was, and what he was. Another thing that is in the
book, is the character Marie St. Jacques who was first Bourne s hostage. Who was in Swedish women
working for the Canadian government. In the book she was very intelligent and sharp. She was able to
escape from Bourne and then was caught by the cops. She was used by the cops to find Jason and once
they found him, they tried to kill her. Though to her surprise Bourne had been following her and saved
her. She then felt like she had to be by his side and help him find his identity and then quickly fell in
love with him. None of what I said above happened in the film. In the film She was bribed into
helping Bourne and was just a petty girl that needed cash to stay in Sweden. She liked Jason Bourne

Essay on Bilingual Education in the United States
Bilingual Education in the United States
Aside from Native Americans, there are no indigenous Americans to speak of in the United States.
The U.S. is therefore a large immigrant nation whose history has grown out of its ability to bring
together people of different cultures, ethnicities, religions and backgrounds. This is why the United
States is often considered to be the world s melting pot. However, despite the fact that America is
composed of a diverse immigrant population, English is recognized as the national language of the
U.S., and it is through English that domestic affairs in the United States are conducted. Given the large
influx of immigrants from Spanish speaking nations in South America, the Caribbean, and Mexico ...

This is because rather than ostracizing large numbers of the population, the U.S. should embrace the
diversity of its people by offering assistance to non English speaking students. Therefore, although I
will argue that secondary languages such as Spanish should be taught in public schools in the U.S., I
do not believe that English should be replaced entirely by secondary languages.
Before outlining the arguments for and against bilingual education, it is first necessary to provide an
overview of the controversy over bilingual education, and its emergence as a national debate. This
controversy is basically centered on the question: Should the United States government incorporate
the teaching of different languages into the public school system or not? Although it is currently
permissible to learn secondary languages such as Spanish, French, German and Latin in public middle
schools and high schools in the U.S., such classes have traditionally been geared toward broadening
the educational experience for native English speaking students. Therefore, rather than providing
assistance to students whose native languages are not English, classes in American public schools are
taught in English, despite the fact that increasing numbers of students in some areas of the U.S. do not
speak English as their first language. In 1998, for example, (the most recent year for which statistics
were available), statistics indicated that there were some

H.B. Fuller is Not Morally Responsible for the Addiction of Street Children to its Resistol Products
1. In your judgment, is H.B. Fuller morally responsible for the addiction of street children to its
Resistol products? In my opinion, H.B. Fuller is not morally responsible for the addiction of street
children to its Resistol products. A corporation is morally responsible only for those acts and their
foreseen injurious effects: (a) which the corporation knowingly and freely performed or brought about
and which it was morally wrong for the corporation to fail to perform or prevent and/or (b) which the
person knowingly and freely failed to perform or prevent and which it was morally wrong for the
corporation to fail to perform or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Do you agree or disagree with the statement that the social condition in Honduras and Guatemala are
responsible for misuse of H.B. Fuller s products and that neither the products nor the company is to
blame? The social condition is certainly a main cause; but it does not necessarily take all of the causal
blame. Not only does the social condition factor into the misuse of Fuller s products but also does the
economic factor relate to the issue. The economic condition is certainly not the sole bearer of cause for
the misuse of Fuller s products, either. There are certain players in this unfortunate epidemic that have
not been taken into account. These variables include the retailers, middlemen, and corrupt distributors
who most likely made a profit from selling the glue to the children on the streets. In addition, there
was management among the subsidiary companies who helped produce this product that must have
been aware of this pertinent issue. Who is to say that management never tried to resolve anything, or
even bring up the issue? They probably did, but nothing drastic as cancellation of their product ever
came of it. All in all, the social and economic conditions in Guatemala and Honduras were the primary
reasons why the children resorted to a medium of venting, namely H.B. Fuller s product. Could the
company and its products have intervened to help the dilemma?

Essay on Ellen Moore
Ellen Moore (A): Living and Working in Bahrain
1. What would you advise Ellen to do and why? What should be her objectives? Are there objectives
and actions consistent with what you would do if you were in her situation?
Even though Bahrain tended to be more progressive than many Middle Eastern countries in its attitude
toward women, there were still many inequalities between genders. The current situation is that Ellen
s general manager asked her to change her mind about accepting the Account controlling position
because of discriminatory practices in Bahrain. The manager, who is an uncertain avoidance type,
stated that Ellen would have troubles traveling alone and clients would not accept her in the future.

People would talk about her case via word of mouth and the story would get worse. If I were in her
situation, I will synergize America s and Bahrain s cultures learning and respecting to the local
cultures and while maintaining my personal goals career success as Ellen do.
2. Why is Ellen successful as a manager?
This case showed a cultural difference between America and Bahrain based on their diversified
cultural norms and standards. Ellen confronted such issues as unequal classification of people and also
religious problems, which substantially affected her, and the Bahrainis attitude toward women. Rather
than letting it be, she fought back to make the situation better and convince many people around to
realize the importance of social equalization in society and change the attitude of men to women and
women to themselves. The sample below showed how she went through each situation professionally.

  • 2. Artificial Intelligence ( Unmanned Aerial Vehicle ) Essay Within the construction industry, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is beginning to take jobsites by storm. If someone were to walk onto a jobsite today, someone in that location would be using AI. Current uses of AI today span from mobile technology that supervision uses to man a jobsite to an actual robot pouring concrete or welding a pipe. With the technology improvements being made daily, there will be a day few people will consist of the workforce on the job, and the rest will be some sort of robotics. Among the Artificial Intelligence being used or that will be the future are: Drones/UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), SAM (Semi Automated Mason), robotic welding, Autonomous TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) Truck, and Contour Crafting. Drones/UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) A lot of people may think of drones, also known as UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), as the toys children play with in the yard after opening their Christmas gifts, but for the construction industry, it means so much more. Drones are capable of a multitude of things, and for business owner s and clients, the most important thing is getting the job done sooner with reduced costs. Previously, layouts of jobsites took weeks. The land had to be surveyed to verify if the soil was appropriate and whether it needed to be graded or not. Areas had to be marked off where each trade would store their material. Physical surveying of the area with tripods had to be done, as well, for the specific layout and placement of the ... • 3. Threats And Vulnerabilities Of Itrust When discussing the threats and vulnerabilities of iTrust, it is important to identify the security measures to potentially rectify or prevent additional security issues. The iTrust database application presented quite a few threats and vulnerabilities. One threat discussed is the threat of a facility not having the proper equipment needed to run a secure organization. For proper security, an organization may need to invest in equipment or devices that are more secure out of the box. This means that computers and/or devices that are straight out of the box are deemed to be more secure in comparison to a computer/device that have been used. In many cases, though the computer/device may have been swiped clean, it poses a much greater threat if the system was susceptible to certain vulnerabilities before. In addition, with these secure out of the box systems it is important to verify proper installation. Organizations need to be sure that third party vendors are completely authorized to assure the information that is being installed and updated is secure in the hands of vendors/suppliers. Another issue that needs addressing when it comes to security is the configuration that is established in iTrust. The iTrust organization has an issue with user access. When discussing user access configuration, an organization may want to analyze possible configuration management. This would entail having a server administrator that would monitor the content in a repository. In this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. High School Vs. College Student High school Student vs. College Student School plays an important role in our life. Many of us will spend more than fifteen years at school in order to get the qualifications that are required to work in a specific field. Of course, those years are broken down into several levels, some of them being more liked than others. Two important steps that we go through are high school and college. Even though some people would think they are almost similar, yet there are significant differences between them. The cost of high school education is not the same as the cost of college education. Also, some differences apply from an academic point of view. Typically, the social environment also differs from high school to college, a fact that can be related to the question of freedom versus responsibility. It is true to say that college is more expensive than high school. Of course, it provides a higher level of education, but by having such high fees it does not give a chance to them; coming from a family with a low income. Also, at college you have to buy your own books whereas in high school you borrow them from the school for a year. As they do for high schools, the government should pay for the books and then borrow them to students, as they do in high schools. Paying for the education you get is expensive, but many people have to pay even more. Many cities do not have colleges, so students who want to get a higher ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Arguments on regard to this has been going on and off constantly and people all have a common question in mind, if the efficiency really means what it supposed to be? The use of virtual meeting platform has significantly shorten the time employees spend on client s site, decreased travel expense and enable the employee to discuss with client at the convenience of their home or office. However, bottom lines are not proving to increase significantly as expected due to lack of personal contact (trust) value, learning value and group synergy gain value. Review/Analysis of the Case According to Eilif Trondsen, He mentioned The trend toward a virtual workplace is driven by growing numbers of workers spending too much time in the field, interacting with customers, business partners, and collaborators and spending less time in traditional office . Due to the costly time and expense on traveling to customer s site, most corporates are not hesitated to switching to virtual meeting. • 6. Missouri Compromise In The 1800s From the very beginning of the United States there was disagreement and compromise. From whether they should revolt against England to who should lead the country. From its onset, the country was destined for disagreement and compromise as it is governed by a democracy. This system lends itself to compromise as not everyone can get their way. With compromise there are situations where no one wins, as the compromise does more harm than good. The Missouri Compromise of 1820 is an example of both sides believing they got what they wanted but looking back it was a compromise that benefitted no one. It is crucial to understand and learn from the past to ensure the same mistakes are not made twice. To understand the Missouri Compromise, one must ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sectionalism was the excessive regard for one s region of the country more so than for the country as a whole. In the context of the United States this was the regard for either the north or south. This divide came about as a result of differing lifestyles with the south being a more agriculturally driven place whereas the north was industrialized. Also included in this divide was the slavery issue, as the north opposed slavery and the south relied upon it for their survival. The Missouri Compromise heavily impacted this division between north and south as it pitted the two against each other on an issue that was their core difference. On top of this issue the Missouri Compromise also created a line that geographically divided the north and south. The 36 30 parallel was a line that prevented slavery from crossing north, but it was also seen as a line that divided the two ways of life. Thomas Jefferson wrote in a letter to Congressman John Holmes his concerns regarding a line dividing the country. In the letter he wrote ...but this momentous question, like a fire bell in the night, awakened and filled me with terror. I considered it at once as the knell of the Union. it is hushed indeed for the moment. but this is a reprieve only, not a final sentence. A geographical line, coinciding with a marked principle, moral and political, once conceived and held up to the angry passions of men, will never be obliterated; and every new irritation will mark it deeper and deeper. The fear that Thomas Jefferson expressed to his friend would ultimately come to fruition as the imaginary line agreed upon to limit slavery was for the most part the dividing line for Civil War which would occur 40 years ... • 8. The Ones Who Walk Away By Ursula Le Guin The Ones Who Walk Away is a short story by Ursula Le Guin. Le Guin bases this story off of an idea posed by philosopher William James, which is how hideous would it be if people were willing to accept the torment of one person for the sake of a perfect society. Le Guin paints this reality in a Utilitarian city named Omelas in order to show the flaws within the Utilitarian belief system. In Omelas people are able to indulge themselves in their wildest fantasies without any negative effects. The people are portrayed as being happy, passionate, mature, and intelligent. Their happiness is based solely on a just discrimination of what is necessary (231). Le Guin states that in Omelas there are no clergy, but there can be religion. This leads to the people having no guilt because they are able to indulge in their fleshly desires without anyone to inform them that it is wrong. What Le Guin is portraying here is a nominal religion where one can claim to believe yet refuses to act out their faith. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although many of Warhol s films, such as Sleep (1963), Eat (1963), and Empire (1965), were lengthy depictions of the most mundane activity or object, some of his works anticipated future film themes or ridiculed certain subjects. Lonesome Cowboys (1968) treated homosexuality when it was taboo as a subject for commercial films and, at the same time, challenged the cowboy myth of courageous, macho riders of the range. With such works as Flesh (1968) and Trash (1970), Warhol focused on sexual themes. These were the forerunners of the pornographic film market of the 1970s and 1980s. By the mid 1970s his Andy Warhol s Dracula (1974) and Andy Warhol s Frankenstein (1974) enjoyed commercial success as satiric yet serious works. • 17. That Evening Sun By William Faulkner And The Poem Analysis In both the short story That Evening Sun by William Faulkner and the poem Poem about My Rights by June Jordan, racism against blacks is criticized through bringing its evils to the surface by these literary works. Despite using different literary mediums to convey their messages, both works reveal to their respective audiences that racism against blacks leads to feelings of inferiority and helplessness in blacks, a collective fear of the wrath of the white man in blacks, and an indifference in the general white population towards the fears of blacks. The idea that racism makes blacks feel as if they are powerless in the domain of whites is something that can be seen within That Evening Sun. In the story, Nancy lives in fear of her husband Jesus, as she believes that he has returned and plans to kill her. Nancy is most affected by her fears when she is not around the white Compson family. This is because Nancy is aware that her husband, being a black man, wouldn t dare commit harm against Nancy when she is around whites, because he feels powerless around them. This is why Nancy attempts to avoid her and Jesus s confrontation by sleeping in the Compson household and also by taking the Compson children to her house. Due to the racism that exists in the time period the story is set in, Jesus cannot do what he wants to do to Nancy, because being in the dominion of white people essentially takes away his force. • 24. Airway Assesment Of The Difficult Airway Before Manipulation CHAPTER III AIRWAY ASSESMENT IN TRAUMA PATIENTS Identification of the difficult airway before manipulation is the Holy Grail of clinical management. It is the first step in preparing for patient care. Selection of airway devices, techniques, and procedures all pivot on airway evaluation (Carin, 2008). Preoperative examination of the airway is essential. Identification of patients with a potentially difficult airway before anesthesia allows time to plan an appropriate anesthetic technique. Previous anesthetic records should always be consulted. However, a past record of normal tracheal intubation is no guarantee against difficulty on subsequent occasions as airway anatomy can be altered as in trauma affecting the airway. The presence of stridor or hoarse voice is warning sign for the anesthetist. As it is impossible to identify all patients with a difficult airway during preoperative assessment, the anesthetist must be prepared to manage the unexpected difficult laryngoscopy (Alan et al,. 2001).  Historical Indicators of Airway Difficulty: The intent of obtaining an airway history is to elicit previously known factors indicating that airway management has been (and likely will be) difficult. Any patient who is awake and capable of coherent conversation should be asked about prior intubation and ventilation successes or failures. Some patients possess a Medic Alert bracelet indicating a history of difficult intubation or ventilation and this can be useful in obtunded ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

(300 400 words) The two theorists i ve decided to compare and contrast are Karl Marx and Emile Durkheim. Firstly i ll compare them to one another. From all the readings I did and past education on these individuals I found they have a lot of the same views in regards to religion. Both Emlie Durkheim and Karl Marx believe that religion is a projection of mans hopes and desires. They both also agree that religion plays a powerful role in influencing the members of a society. While coming up with these theories they were both more concerned with the human rather than the religion. Both of them did not believe in a god or gods. It s been said that Marx saw god as idealization of human nature while Durkheim believed the idea of a god was society itself. They were not religious people so it s interesting that they did have some of the same views and theories regarding religion in the society. The differences between them are pretty simple. As I was previously comparing their views on religion I can continue that with talking about their differences in regards to religion, Marx argues that religion oppresses the people in the society while Durkheim argues that religion unites the society. As described in the article introduced above by Kostick (2004), this energy conserving process begins with a salt saturated brine which is brought to a boil, rectangular pans with steam heated immersion coils are used to facilitate the evaporation process (Kostick, 2004). Halite isn t the only mineral present in sea water, because of this, each mineral must be separated from the water in order to extract the salt. Analysis Of Starry Night Rachael Brooks Mrs. Cole English 4B 23 October 2015 Analyzing Mood and Theme in Starry Night For many, the painting Starry Night, by Vincent Van Gogh, is simply paint on a canvas. Created in the summer of 1889, while Van Gogh was in a mental asylum, others perceive the painting as a message of Van Gogh s desire for acceptance and normalcy. Heavily influenced by the Expressionist movement, Starry Night is a physical representation of Van Gogh s feelings of melencholy during his stay in the asylum. His troubled mind allowed Van Gogh to create a painting with a yearning mood. Throughout the years, people have tried to understand Van Gogh s reason for painting Starry Night. One way that people have used to try to understand him is through ekphrastic poetry, which is poetry about a work of art, such as Anne Sexton s The Starry Night poem and Don McClean s Vincent (Starry, Starry Night). While The Starry Night by Anne Sexton depicts Starry Night as having an ominous mood, the empathetic mood in Vincent (Starry, Starry Night), by Don McClean, with its use of sympathetic diction, detail, and figurative language best mirrors that of the original painting. Van Gogh s Starry Night expresses the troubles and yearnings going on in the artist s mind as he painted. Often, the ability of bacteria to both establish and maintain these infections are directly related to biofilm formation on indwelling devices or within the urinary tract itself (30). Enterococci (especially E. faecalis) are one of the main causative agents of urinary tract infection and Catheter associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs) besides gram negative pathogens (31, 32). In these infections Biofilm provides a favorable milieu for microbial survival within the host as the organisms are shielded from the host immune response, as well as antibiotics and antimicrobial agents (33, 34). Several studies conducted to introduce main virulence genes of enterococci that are associated with biofilm formation in these bacteria (11, 13, 17), but virulence mechanism and related genes for biofilm formation are not well understood (35). In this study we investigated biofilm formation of clinical enterococci isolates isolated from Urinary tract infections. • 42. Stereotypes In Dungeons And Dragons Dungeons and Dragons is a role playing game that requires time, patience, and a relatively good imagination. Society has grown up with this game for several decades and yet the majority has no knowledge of its works and rules other than the misconceptions of stereotypes and confused explanations. When asked about the game, certain social groups are targeted as the player when, in truth, the quantity is much larger than previously thought. Dungeons and Dragons is a game that is more than a game. It is a bonding experience with many personal properties, overcomes the stereotypes, and that everyone can try or witness at least once in their life. This massive, medieval timed, role playing game can be easily misunderstood for good reason; ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some players like the imagination the game requires and using the power of their mind to create a fantasy world where they can start and end wars, create civilizations, battle monsters, and trek on an epic adventure. Not only is the game based on the creativity of the player, but structure is a key element just like it is in the human language or in music. For example, a young man who has played soccer and enjoyed the sport for most of his life may find a liking to the structure of the game and creating his own ideas in context. Another likely aspect to admire is the social requirement; you cannot play this game alone. It requires at least two people, but most parties have five to eight players. This provides a face to face interaction that can lead to bonding and friendships. An example is when a younger adult who enjoys spending his time with technology is given a chance to have contact with other people on a similar subject, there is always the chance of making new friends. The game is also built around performance of characters, based on dice rolls and abilities obtained, and problem solving skills that the Dungeon Master creates during the game play. Because of it s many parts, Dungeons and Dragons can attract many different people to enjoy the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 44. Business Skills For A Business Business skills Business skills are skills which are needed by candidates for a business to recruit them. I have some business skills and they are communication skills, confidence, leadership, I am organised and I can prioritise tasks appropriately. I have extensive experience in delivering presentations to large groups. This has enhanced my skills such as confidence, clarity and self belief. One of the presentations that I delivered included designing a new product for coca cola. The goal was to provide a drink that was healthy as well as attractive to customers. This task provided me with the opportunity to gain new skills such as research and teamwork. Further to this, I was also able to recognise a few weaknesses that I was able to improve through teamwork and effective communication such as differences of opinion and disagreements. I am very well organised as I always arrive to school on time, with the required books and equipment. This shows my punctuality and my desire to progress. My school attendance is 100% as I have not missed a single day of school. I also have a lot of leadership skills because I have been appointed to be group leader in many situations. For example, when I had to create a podcast for cyber bullying with my team, I had to show leadership and organise my team by setting them different tasks and giving them deadlines according to each individuals skill set. This shows that I can be responsible and cope under pressure. Competencies ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. The Bourne Identity Essay The Bourne Identity In this essay, I compared the book, The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum and the film of the same name, directed by Doug Liman. The main character Jason Bourne was played by Matt Damon and Marie St. Jacques is played by Franka Potente. The book and movie were extremely different from each other. The book had more detail of the overall story, easier to comprehend and had character build up. While the movie seemed to only be interested in the action. I thought the book to be more fulfilling in its story and the movie to be predictable and tedious (considering I fell asleep). It didn t take long to notice they were completely different. Washburn studied and made Jason Bourne wait until he thought he was fit to go out into the world, for instance he made him go on a fishing trip with the hardest fishing crew around to prove his was ready. As always, Jason Bourne proved he was ready for anything. Geoffrey Washburn was never seen or mentioned in the movie which like I said was a great disappointment, because that was the upbringing of Jason Bourne. He is partly responsible to creating the new Jason Bourne. He is also the a great help to Jason Bourne while he tries to find out who he was, and what he was. Another thing that is in the book, is the character Marie St. Jacques who was first Bourne s hostage. Who was in Swedish women working for the Canadian government. In the book she was very intelligent and sharp. She was able to escape from Bourne and then was caught by the cops. She was used by the cops to find Jason and once they found him, they tried to kill her. Though to her surprise Bourne had been following her and saved her. She then felt like she had to be by his side and help him find his identity and then quickly fell in love with him. None of what I said above happened in the film. In the film She was bribed into helping Bourne and was just a petty girl that needed cash to stay in Sweden. She liked Jason Bourne throughout the film from ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 46. Essay on Bilingual Education in the United States Bilingual Education in the United States Aside from Native Americans, there are no indigenous Americans to speak of in the United States. The U.S. is therefore a large immigrant nation whose history has grown out of its ability to bring together people of different cultures, ethnicities, religions and backgrounds. This is why the United States is often considered to be the world s melting pot. However, despite the fact that America is composed of a diverse immigrant population, English is recognized as the national language of the U.S., and it is through English that domestic affairs in the United States are conducted. Given the large influx of immigrants from Spanish speaking nations in South America, the Caribbean, and Mexico ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is because rather than ostracizing large numbers of the population, the U.S. should embrace the diversity of its people by offering assistance to non English speaking students. Therefore, although I will argue that secondary languages such as Spanish should be taught in public schools in the U.S., I do not believe that English should be replaced entirely by secondary languages. Before outlining the arguments for and against bilingual education, it is first necessary to provide an overview of the controversy over bilingual education, and its emergence as a national debate. This controversy is basically centered on the question: Should the United States government incorporate the teaching of different languages into the public school system or not? Although it is currently permissible to learn secondary languages such as Spanish, French, German and Latin in public middle schools and high schools in the U.S., such classes have traditionally been geared toward broadening the educational experience for native English speaking students. Therefore, rather than providing assistance to students whose native languages are not English, classes in American public schools are taught in English, despite the fact that increasing numbers of students in some areas of the U.S. do not speak English as their first language. In 1998, for example, (the most recent year for which statistics were available), statistics indicated that there were some ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Fuller morally responsible for the addiction of street children to its Resistol products? In my opinion, H.B. Fuller is not morally responsible for the addiction of street children to its Resistol products. A corporation is morally responsible only for those acts and their foreseen injurious effects: (a) which the corporation knowingly and freely performed or brought about and which it was morally wrong for the corporation to fail to perform or prevent and/or (b) which the person knowingly and freely failed to perform or prevent and which it was morally wrong for the corporation to fail to perform or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Do you agree or disagree with the statement that the social condition in Honduras and Guatemala are responsible for misuse of H.B. Fuller s products and that neither the products nor the company is to blame? The social condition is certainly a main cause; but it does not necessarily take all of the causal blame. Not only does the social condition factor into the misuse of Fuller s products but also does the economic factor relate to the issue. The economic condition is certainly not the sole bearer of cause for the misuse of Fuller s products, either. There are certain players in this unfortunate epidemic that have not been taken into account. These variables include the retailers, middlemen, and corrupt distributors who most likely made a profit from selling the glue to the children on the streets. In addition, there was management among the subsidiary companies who helped produce this product that must have been aware of this pertinent issue. Who is to say that management never tried to resolve anything, or even bring up the issue? They probably did, but nothing drastic as cancellation of their product ever came of it. All in all, the social and economic conditions in Guatemala and Honduras were the primary reasons why the children resorted to a medium of venting, namely H.B. Fuller s product. Could the company and its products have intervened to help the dilemma? ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Are there objectives and actions consistent with what you would do if you were in her situation? Even though Bahrain tended to be more progressive than many Middle Eastern countries in its attitude toward women, there were still many inequalities between genders. The current situation is that Ellen s general manager asked her to change her mind about accepting the Account controlling position because of discriminatory practices in Bahrain.
