In the movie Huckleberry Finn lying plays a big role in the plot. I personally do not like lying at all
and believe it will only get you further into trouble, but this story does an excellent job of proving me

World War II was a profusioning and distressing experience for a plethora of Americans. Men and
women both suffered during the WWII. Soldiers were going thru many awful and life changing

As constellations move about one degree per day, they complete a 360 degrees circular motion in a

Analysis Of Minny Jackson In The Help
Minny Jackson is one of two women represented in The Help. Aibileen and Minny are both best
friends and maids. Early in the book Aibileen overhears Miss Hilly saying that Miss Walters maid,
Minny is stealing from Miss Walters. A little more further Aibileen tells Minny that some stuff could
be going down on her for stealing from her boss. Minny was a black maid in Jackson, Mississippi in
the 1960 s, who was very civil but all about revenge when treated wrong.
Minny Jackson is married to Leroy, and they have 5 children. She is a very strong women, but who
doesn t take anything from anyone but her husband. Leroy often beats her when he is drunk, but she
doesn t want to tell anyone because she is too embarrassed and looks past it because she loves him so
much. It all starts out when Minnie is working for Miss Hilly s Mother, Miss Walters. Minny does
nothing wrong until Miss Hilly makes a rumor about her and tells everyone that Minny has been
stealing from her mother. She is later fired and jobless. Aibileen is helping Minny by looking for a job,
she answers a phone at Leefolts and on the phone is Celia Rae Foote. Celia is a nice, beautiful young
lady in her early twenties. She s looking for a maid, which at this point Aibileen is acting like the
person Celia is asking for and she recommends Minny. Celia has never had a maid, and doesn t know
how to act around them. When they meet, Celia is afraid that her house is too much for Minny to
clean. Minny thinks that it s absurd

The Novel The Scarlet Letter
The Weight of a Name The Scarlet Letter is a timeless novel because of the timeless characters
depicted in the piece. Each character was carefully constructed by Nathanial Hawthorne to represent a
specific aspect of sin. He used these characters to tell a story that would translate how distorted the
Puritans view of sin was. Not only did he thoughtfully plan the characters personalities, backgrounds,
and beliefs out in order to convey this distortion of sin, but their names were carefully considered as
well. Nathanial Hawthorne purposefully chose the names of the major supporting characters in The
Scarlet Letter Pearl, Roger Chillingworth, and Arthur Dimmesdale, in order to symbolically hint at the
significance of each of these characters in the novel. Hawthorne viewed the greatest sin of all to be
hypocrisy, not the sin of adultery that Hester Prynne, the main character in the novel, was found guilty
of. Hester had a child born from her adulterous act. This child became the literal embodiment of the
sin committed, yet was strategically named Pearl, something pure. Melissa Pennell, a literary analyzer
of The Scarlet Letter wrote, Hester consciously gives Pearl a name that has symbolic value (Pennell
83). The name Pearl was chosen because she knew her daughter had come at great price (Johnson 77).

In 1758 a man called Carl Linnaeus proposed the two kingdom classification system. This system
separated all living things into two categories called kingdoms. The two kingdoms were plante
(plants) and animalia (animals).this system was the basis to our classification system today (the five

book itself is divided into twelve chapters, each going into detail about events leading up to, as well
as, during the Reformation, and the events that transpired after the death of Martin Luther. Beginning

Making of a Revolutionary, discusses the origins of the town of Wittenberg, the book trade of
Germany prior to Luther s influence, the elector of Saxony, Luther s early life and that would lead to
his attack on indulgences, Frederick the Wise s ambition for the town of Wittenberg and the work he
put into the town in order to make it both a religious as well as intellectual powerhouse that it would
come to be known as. Overall, this chapter serves the purpose of opening to the events that would
transpire regarding Luther, Wittenberg, the Catholic Church, and the printing industry of Germany.
