The visual pathway document describes the flow of visual information from the eyes to the brain. It starts with light entering the eyes and signals being sent to the lateral geniculate nucleus (LGN) in the thalamus. The LGN contains two main layers - parvocellular and magnocellular - that process visual information and send it to the primary visual cortex (V1). V1 contains ocular dominance columns that process visual data from each eye separately in an alternating pattern within hypercolumns.
