Violence In Schools Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of violence in schools can be a challenging task that requires a
careful balance of research, empathy, and critical analysis. Addressing such a sensitive and
prevalent issue necessitates a thorough understanding of the various factors contributing to
violence within educational institutions. It involves delving into the root causes, exploring the
psychological and sociological aspects, and examining the impact on both students and the
broader community.
One of the difficulties lies in presenting a comprehensive overview without oversimplifying the
complexities associated with school violence. The writer must navigate through statistical data,
academic studies, and real-life examples to provide a nuanced perspective on the subject.
Additionally, addressing potential solutions and preventive measures requires a careful
consideration of various approaches, policies, and intervention strategies.
Furthermore, the emotional weight of the topic may make it challenging to maintain objectivity
and avoid biases. Balancing the gravity of the issue with an informative and engaging writing
style is crucial to capture the reader's attention while respecting the seriousness of the subject
matter.
In conclusion, crafting an essay on violence in schools demands a combination of research,
empathy, and analytical skills. It requires a delicate touch to address the complexity of the issue
without oversimplification or sensationalism. Despite the challenges, a well-constructed essay can
contribute to a better understanding of the problem and potential avenues for addressing and
preventing violence in educational settings.

20 000 Leagues Under The Sea Essay
Jules Verne also uses real life examples in his stories. In 20,000 Leagues Under the
Sea Jules Verne several times mentions Commander Matthew Fontaine Maury,
Captain Maury in Verne s book, a real life oceanographer who explored the winds,
seas, currents, and collected sampled of the bottom of the seas and charted oceans.
Verne would have known of Matthew Maury s international fame and perhaps
Maur s French ancestry. References are made to other such Frenchmen as Jean
François de Galaup, comte de Lapérouse, a famous explorer who was lost while
circumnavigating the globe; Dumont D Urville, the explorer who found the remains
of LapГ©rouse s ship; and Ferdinand Lesseps, builder of the Suez Canal and the

William Peery Fogg traveled the world, from 1869 and 1871, and wrote Round the
World: Letters from Japan, China, India, and Egypt. Other travelers include
Pausanias who wrote Around the World, Giovanni Francesco Gemelli Careri, who
wrote Voyage around the World. The novel documents his trip as one of the first
Europeans to circle the world for pleasure rather than profit, using publicly available

Using special tools, including hydrometers, they can determine the amount of
moisture in the walls, carpeting, and furniture. Without this process, you could have
large amounts of standing water and have a lot of secondary damage. All of your
belongings that have been affected by the water will be examined and they will offer
you advice on which ones you should restore and which ones cannot be saved.
Utilize Powerful and Proper Equipment
For a thorough and professional water damage cleanup, the proper equipment and
tools must be utilized. From industrial strength tools and chemicals to deodorizers
and sanitizers, the professional will use blowers to help dry the areas where the
hydrometers have detected water. This insures a successful cleanup. Without the
proper equipment, secondary damage can occur, which includes mold and bacteria.
Mold Remediation
Mold is a contaminant that can very dangerous if left untreated. Bacteria, mildew, and
fungus are also contaminants that commonly occur after water damage. To remove
these contaminants, the water damage restoration companies will use the proper
equipment to remove it safely. When these things become airborne, they can cause
many issues, including respiratory problems in both adults and

What is the most destructive wood eating insect in Florida? TERMITES! Damages
from these pests cause Floridians millions of dollars every year! Chances are that if
you haven t encountered them yet, you will. Floridians favorite housing materials
consist mainly of stucco, brick and/or wood siding...all built upon a wooden frame.
Wood and wood products are the termite s main food source! These wooden
structures provide hiding places where termites can tunnel ... all the while eating
away the inside beams and timbers of your home! These hungry termites can cause
tremendous damage even when no damage can be seen on the outside. Termites feed
slowly and it is important for homeowners to be able to recognize the typical signs of
termite infestations.

homeowner may encounter a small swarm of winged termites running on the floor

doorways, usually near areas of sunlight. In most instances of swarming, the
colonies only swarm one to two times. If your home has had more than ten swarms,

Essay On Dracula
Movie review of Dracula Bela Lugosi is arguably the most classic example of an
actor taking on a vampire role. However, during 1931 when the universal studio
was casting the 1931 s Dracula, Lugosi could only barely speak English, and
therefore almost lost his chance at playing the iconic part ( Dracula (1931 English
Language Film ). Nonetheless his accents and costumes, which has become the
classic look of the vampire, he himself was so typecast in his role that he was
actually buried after his death in his Draculacostume. Certainly, it is Lugosi s
performance that makes Tod Browning s film such an influential Hollywood
picture. Overall, I will give it a 3 star out of 5, compared with the older version film
of Dracula, because of the dialogues and sounds, the plot is much easier for the
audiences to understand, without any editing or background music the horror of the

The Duty Of Care On Public Bodies
An explanation will be made on how the current law addresses the imposition of a
duty of care on public bodies. An evaluation will then be made to determine whether
the duty of care the police owe to protect individuals from a known threat should be
legally recognised.
The common law duty of care was established in Donoghue v Stevenson [1932] AC
562 (HL) and refined in Caparo Industries plc v Dickman [1990] 2 AC 605 (HL).
Any party including public authorities may owe a duty of care to another if
particular conditions are fulfilled. The Caparo conditions apply to public bodies in
respect of whether it is fair, just and reasonable to impose a duty of care on their
actions.
The fundamental case to address the duty of care imposed on a ... Show more content

Further to the general negligence position on public bodies, in instances of
omissions the general principle is that there is no duty to act unless a special
relationship exists. However, there is an exception, a duty is owed if proximity is
established as demonstrated in Home Office v Dorset Yacht Co Ltd [1970] UKHL 2.
Lord Bingham did not agree that the policy arguments established in Hill and
subsequently followed in Brooks to be appropriate in the context of Smith. In Smith
he attempted to introduce a liability principle . The principle proposed that where
evidence is credible and the threat is specific and imminent, reasonable steps must be
taken to assess such a threat and act where necessary. He did not agree that adopting
the principle would induce defensive practices, neither did he agree that accepting the
principle would detract from the police s primary functions. The liability principle
reflected the content of Article 2 European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR),
Right to life.
Following the signing of the ECHR, the United Kingdom introduced the Human
Rights Act 1998 (HRA 1998). Under s6(3)(a) HRA 1998, the courts are now
considered a public body, therefore no decisions they make can affect the guaranteed
rights of any individual under ECHR. The introduction of this legislation has resulted
in individuals bringing claims for Human Rights breaches where negligence claims

persuade massive groups of people to murder innocent humans. History displays the
recurring use of mass media being used to provoke this violence. Overall, mass

Palliative Care
Rationale and Introduction, Background I have seen a disparity in palliative care
both in the hospital and community settings; so, I wanted to research into what could
be the potential barriers in hospital to support the palliative/end of life gold standards
framework. Therefore, my question is what potential barriers nurses encounter when
providing palliative care to older patients in acute hospital settings. Palliative care is
an approach that improves the quality of life of patients and their families challenging
the suffering associated with life threatening illness. (Public Health, 2013). According
to Gardiner et al (2011) more deaths happen in acute hospital settings, mainly the
older patients die in an acute hospital setting. Therefore... Show more content on

34 Participants in the study were nurses and from the collective 58 health
professionals participates only 10 of them were from an acute hospital setting.
Therefore the finding of this paper can t conclude that it only focused on acute
hospitals, this questions the validity of the paper, as the paper s title suggests that
it only focused on acute hospital settings only, so the results from this study can t
be generalized to other acute hospital settings. As Gardiner (2011) highlighted it s
important for nurses to be able to reflect on the patient s needs and have a less task
oriented focus. The cultural setting of an acute hospital is fixated on finding a cure
for the patient, as reported by Gott et al (2013) nurses feel they are failing their
patients if there is no cure for their illness. There is a need introduce the hospice
philosophy into acute care settings in hospitals. McCourt et al (2013); Gott et al
(2013). Gardiner et al, (2011) found that nurses focused on curative treatments within
hospitals due to the nature of the setting. However, Gardiner et al (2011) also
highlighted that nursing staff s attitude towards the end of life/palliative could be
seen as a barrier in the care provided. Johansson and Lindahl (2012) established that
nurses find it difficult to talk about death and they feel they do not know what to do.
Vanderpool (2015) states that a key part of the nurse s role is having the correct
knowledge and understanding, and providing the right information to support the
patient/family in their decision making. NHS England (2014) highlighted that the
most reported complaint was poor communication with patient and family from
nurses. Insufficient knowledge of palliative care among nurses is well documented
and is considered one of the main obstacles to providing high quality palliative care
services. Gott et al
Sleeping Bag Myths
Did you know that if you sleep naked in a sleeping bag you ll have a warmer night
than when you sleep in clothes? Crisps! Just Kidding! Thats just the craziest
backpacking sleeping bag myth any idiot can believe. Have you ever tried to find
a logical explanation behind some of these myths? Its incredibly hard to believe
how some of them even hold on. This are just the craziest: 1. Women need a
sleeping bag which is 5 degrees Celsius warmer than men. This is just obviously
wrong. The type of a sleeping bag that a person requires will depend on a number
of factors not just one. For instance, an experienced mountaineer or forest walker
will be more comfortable in a sleeping bag than a complete novice of whether they

Sports leagues should be responsible for player s off field Behavior. An author
Brant Webb a family lawyer states in his book Unsportsmanlike Conduct: Curbing
the Trend of domestic violence in the National Football league and Major League
Baseball. He states in his book that in January 1989 through November of 1994 fifty
six players were accused of domestic violence toward women. Prosecutors and
Judges only gave the players slap on the wrist punishment the leagues also gave slap
on the wrist punishments as well giving those game suspensions for at least two to
three games. The leagues can and have power to exact further punishments for off
field behavior. In individual player contracts disciplinary actions are given to the
leagues meaning that the punishments that need to be dealt can be given to me the

Marketing Strategy Of Maggi
Maggie was launched in India as a 2 minute noodle brand in 1983 when Indian
consumers were quite conservative about their food habits and preferred
traditional Indian food over canned or packaged food. Today, India is one of the
fastest growing market for snack and Maggie was estimated to have 70% share in
the market. It almost doubled its size from 2010(2940 million units) to 2014(5340
million units). It contributed 30% to the NestlГ© s 9000 crore annual turnover.
Starting off as a snack for children, Maggie quickly expanded its consumer base to
include students and young professionals and was even available in the most
inaccessible parts of India. The advertisements of Maggie became so popular that the
tagline of bas 2 minute instantly reminded people of Maggie.

Describe The Differences Between The Tutti And The Hutu
In each of these stories (some truer than others) there is a common conflict needing
to be resolved. Two sides where there was once a community. A genocide, a mass
murder, and a children s show teaching the value of equality. People all across the
world have fought and died for equality, the same being said for the opposing side.
In Hotel Rwanda there are two sides to the community. The Tutsiand the Hutu, a
division made by Belgian colonizers. Apparently the lighter and taller Rwandans were
treated better in the duration of the Belgians visit, these were the Tutsi. But after
leaving, this conflict continued on for the rest 20th century and well into the 21st.
But to some, the division is pointless, given that they were and will always will
Drake s Song Too Good
Drake s song Too Good is, in many ways an amazing work of art. Two amazing
artists Drake and Rhianna sing this song. While listening to a song there are a few
criteria s that should be followed and those are: rhythm, meaning, and voice, in which
all are met in this song. First, lets discuss the rhythm that takes place in this songin
particular. According to Merriam Webster s Dictionary, rhythm is defined as a
regular, repeated pattern of sounds or movements. In this song the rhythm is
consistent and has a catchy beat. Since the songs style is labeled as contemporary hip
hop the rhythm properly corresponds with it by using many instruments, which make
up the pattern of sounds that are heard in the background of the singers. Rhythm is
very important in a musicpiece because its one of the first things that catches the
audiences attention. In addition to rhythm being important criteria... Show more

According to Merriam Webster s Dictionary the definition of voice is the ability to
sing. This is probably the most important criterion because an audience doesn t
want to listen to a song that contains a horrible voice. This song is a perfect
example of two amazing voices. Drake, a famous hip hop and rap artist, and
Rhianna, another famous hip hop artist, sing this song as a duet. Their voices fit
perfectly in this song because they both have a serious tone in their voice to relate
with the situation the song is addressing. For example, this song couldn t be sang
by two singers that have a high pitch happy voices because the message that is
being portrayed is more of a serious tone rather than a happy tone; therefore, these
two singers voices fit the part very well. Overall, the song Too Good by Drake and
Rhianna is met extremely well with the three criteria s of rhythm, meaning, and voice.
This song portrays a great meaning, that has excellent rhythm and voices of singers

Research methods and outcomes for Australian Indigenous preterm births
Introduction:
It is the responsibility of Health Care Practitioners to stay abreast of the latest
research, while enhancing research skills, ensuring the most current evidence based
information guaranteeing the highest level of care.
This paper will explore the development of research techniques and the tools
available to establish the factors that increase the risk of preterm birth amongst the
Indigenous women of Australia, with a particular focus in rural areas.
1. Throughout the Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Queensland, several
databases provide the most current research in clinical practice; these include
CINAHL and Medline. These databases contain specifically chosen research to
ensure the more relevant studies are more accessible, rather than the random selection
by robots through Google and/or Google Scholar.
To address the topic of this assessment, I began my search for two peer reviewed
journal articles using CINAHL, including limiting the dates to 2011 2016, peer
reviewed and key words such as;
risk factors or causes and preterm birth or premature birth or premature infant and
Australian Aboriginal* or Australian Indigenous or Torres Strait Islander*
Unfortunately, this search did not produce any results, I then extended my search to
include the Medline database which produced three articles, one of which did not
appear to address the issues of preterm birth in
Laser Crack Measurement System for Pavement-

Pavement management systems (PMS) can work effectively only when they are
constructed by organically combining all activities concerned with road pavement
(planning, design, construction, maintenance, rehabilitation, evaluation, economic
analysis, and research) and the data bank [1]. Then, the most important items are the
establishment of a serviceability index, which represents pavement quality, and a
prediction of performance, which is represented by the relation between time (and/or
traffic) and the index. Pavement quality consists of two primary factors: riding
quality and skid resistance. The factors influencing riding quality are pavement
distress and/or roughness. Three major factors of pavement distress are cracking,
rutting, and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, measuring the macro texture is one of the essential components in
pavement management applications.
The requirements for acquiring these factors are the following: (1) That data
acquisition cost is as cheap as possible; (2) that data analysis can be done in a short
time; and (3) that data acquisition doesn t influence the speed of other traveling
vehicles, in particular on roads with heavy traffic [2].
Pavement surface distress measurement is an essential part of a pavement
management system (PMS) for determining cost effective maintenance and
rehabilitation strategies. Visual surveys conducted by engineers in the field are still
the most widely used means to inspect and evaluate pavements, although such
evaluations involve high degrees of subjectivity, hazardous exposure, and low
production rates. Consequently, automated distress identification is gaining wide
popularity among transportation agencies [6]. With the advancement of 3D sensor and
information technology, a high resolution, high speed 3D line laser imaging system
has become available for pavement surface condition data collection. With the
advances in sensor technology, a 3D line laser imaging based pavement surface data
acquisition system has become available. The Laser Crack Measurement System

constructing pavement surfaces. The objective of

Pros And Cons Of Cloning
Cloning is a number of processes that are used to create genetically identical copies
of an organism. Researchers have cloned a number of biological materials, such as
genes, cells, tissues and whole organisms, including sheep s and horses. Cloning can
happen naturally in identical twins, but it can also be done in a lab. ( CloningFact

Pros:
. Parents with no eggs and sperm can create children that are genetically related to
them.
. Endangered plants and animals can be cloned to save the species.
. Cloning could prove helpful in the research of genetics. Using cloning technologies,
genetic researchers would have a better understanding of genes. Researchers could

The first examples of cloning were done over 130 years ago.
The first example of cloning was done in 1885 by a German biologist named Hans
Adolf Edward Driesch. Dreisch showed that by shaking two celled sea urchin
embryos, it was possible to separate the cells. Once separated, each cell grew into a
complete sea urchin.
This experiment showed that each cell in the early embryo has its own complete set
of genetic instructions and can grow into a full organism. ( The History Of Cloning )
The most notable example of early cloning came from a German embryologist
named Hans Spemann. Spemann s name will always be remembered, because of
his work on experimental embryology. He mastered in micro surgical techniques,
and, working on the relatively large eggs of amphibians he discovered in 1924,
working with Hilde Mangold. They discovered the existence of an area in the
embryo, the portions of which, upon transplantation into an indifferent part of a
second embryo. The name was therefore given by him to those parts. ( Hans
Spemann Biographical )
Because of his research and discoveries, Spemann was awarded the Nobel Prize in
1935. ( Hans Spemann Biographical )
The first Mammal to be cloned was Dolly the sheep. That s when cloning really
started to take off. Dolly lived from 5 July 1996 to 14 February 2003. Since the
cloning of Dolly just over 20 years ago, 22 other species of animals have been cloned
since. ( Cloning Dolly The Sheep ) ( How many

to pull out his or her hairs. In fact, trichotillomania is plaguing the lives of one in

Lastly, Criterion D and Criterion E demand that the hair pulling cannot be associated
with any other type of medical disorder or conditions (American Psychiatric
Association, 251 252). Since the action of excessive hair pulling can be attributed to
delusion or hallucination caused by psychological disorders like schizophrenia,
physicians must test for the existence of other mental conditions before diagnosing a
patient s symptoms as trichotillomania. Diagnosing trichotillomania definitely
requires caution and precision (Thackery and Harris, 998 1001). An early diagnosis
of trichotillomania becomes important because trichotillomania can cause temporary
and permanent damage to the human body. For example, uncontrolled hair pulling
can lead to skin bleeding. In severe cases, infections can affect the bleeding areas,
causing serious damage to the skin (Phillipson and Gibson). Patients may also
swallow the hairs that are removed from the body, causing hair clusters to form inside
the stomach. This condition, called trichophagia, can lead to stomach pain or even
stomach bleeding ( Trichotillomania ). Other forms of damage caused by
uncontrolled hair pulling may include short and broken hairs, damaged hair follicles,
and increased existence of non growing hairs. These are common harms of
trichotillomania that may have the
Concerto Grosso Music
Baroque Concerto Grosso
A Concerto Grosso is a genre of music where the musical material is passed between a
small group of soloists (the concertino) and a full orchestra (the ripieno). The
concertino generally has more virtuosic music than the ripieno, and they do not often
share thematic material. It was developed in the late 17th Century, although the term
Concerto Grosso would not be used until 1698 when Gregori published a set of 10
compositions.
There are 2 forms of the Concerto Grosso the concerto da chГesa (a church concert)
and the concerto da camera (a chamber concert). The concerto da chГesa alternated
between fast and slow movements, and the concerto da camera was similar to a
suite, in that it was introduced by a prelude, and incorporated popular dance ideas of
the time.
Concerto Grosso in D minor Concerto Grosso in D minor was composed by Antonio
Vivaldi and was published in 1711. The concertino is made up of two violins and a
cello, and the ripieno is made up of strings and a continuo. For the first 20 bars of
the piece, the two solo violins play unaccompanied. The second movement (the
Adagio e spiccato) is extremely short (only three bars long), and the instrumentation

Hedda Gabler Role In Society
In the play Hedda Gabler, Henrik Ibsen has clearly shown the audience how the end
of the 19th century has influenced his own portrayal of his characters and their role
in society. It is important to take into consideration the expectations placed upon
women at that time and to understand the limited roles they had to play in society.
However in Ibsen s play, he has decided to show an ideal society by giving a greater
amount of freedom to women by showing them to be more independent. These
ideologies have been shown through the character of Hedda Gablerand the play is a
reaction to how society would react to a woman with such liberties . Through the
setting of the play, the feeling of entrapment of Hedda Gabler is going to be
explored: a feeling... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Mrs. Elvsted leaves a bouquet of flowers on the piano, it s a symbol of
gratitude. I believe that the flowers depict relationships that Hedda has with
people. However by the end of act 2 most of the flowers have been removed
showing that her relationships with other characters have become limited. This is
further brought across through to the audience because they are placed in glasses
and vases which are very fragile objects; ones that can easily be broken just like
Hedda s relationships with other people. This could be one of the reasons why she
decides to take her own life with the pistol. Her relations with other people gradually
dissipate and she believes that no one understands her as she has different
perspectives. The feeling of frustration and anger could have been the root emotions
that took her

2.1 BRIEF OVERVIEW OF BEL IMPLEX NIGERIA LIMITED
Bel Implex Limited, the converting arm of Bel Papyrus Limited, the group s paper
mill operation was incorporated by Group Boulos in 2001. Bel Implex is equipped
with the best European converting machines. However, Bel is currently producing
and distributing several lines and sub brands of tissue paper such as: facial tissue,
toilet tissue, baby wipes, table napkins, kitchen towel, handkerchiefs and diapers.
Due to the quality of its products, Bel has maintained an eminent reputation and its
market shares grew constantly and steadily over the past years through an efficient
distribution network s everlasting commitment to fulfil the customer s needs and
meet their every expectation.
Nevertheless, in order for Bel to increase their shareholders worth by creating
exchanges that satisfy the objectives of shareholders, the German market in the EU
would be the right market for growth expansion and would also position the firm to
optimise value creation (Hollensen, 2007). However, the rationale behind this choice
of country is due to the fact that customers in Germany are very careful about
hygiene compared to some of the Asian and African countries that have other
alternatives like water (Euromonitor, 2012).It is also assumed that, like the UK,
many of the products in the disposable paper market are considered to be essential by
German consumers. Also it assumed that the Germans consume 13.7kg of tissue per

Good versus Evil in the Movie Unforgiven Directed by
Clint...
The 1992 film Unforgiven, directed by and starring Clint Eastwood, has a central
theme that is one of good versus evil in which good overcomes evil by bringing
justice to those who are evil. Munny has changed from the vicious murderer he was
in the past and now wishes to bring justice to evil men who harmed the innocent
prostitute Delilah and his friend Ned. The film is not quite the traditional Westernfilm
by any means as Eastwood s character Will Munny has not always been a moral man.
Nevertheless, Will Munny through the use of violence sets out to balance out the
battle of good and evilby seeing that evil men get what is coming to them, even
though Munny is no saint himself. Munny knows that death is what he deserves for

They feel that the man deserves much worse than a whipping, he deserves the
biggest punishment that exists, death. The women do not care who does the killing.
They do not care if it is an honest or noble man or a vicious killer with a terrible and
violent past. The idea that extreme violence is the answer to injustice is what makes
Unforgiven still fit into the western genre of film. In the film, good eventually wins
out by any means necessary, including the use of violence. Will Munny thinks he
will not go back to his acting like his younger self, the vicious and violent killer, if
he attempts to bring justice. Munny even attempts to act humanely after killing a
man who harmed Delilah by telling making sure the dying man gets a final drink
of water. However, he is quickly proven wrong when his friend Ned is murdered.
Munny and Ned see themselves as just doing the right thing by trying to bring
justice but when Munny is beaten and Ned is murdered, it is clear that violence is
the only answer for Little Bill and his men. Munny turns back to his gun slinging
days and kills all the men on Little Bill s side without remorse. It could be argued
that Munny changes from good to evil in an instant in order to stop more evil, but
maybe Munny has always been a bad guy no matter how hard he tries to hide it.
Either way, Little Bill as well as his men gets what is coming to them as justice is
served through violence. Justice through violence
The Death Of The Father
Subordination
Today theologians have been debating whether or not the son has a subordinate
relationship to the father. To help understand this question better in smaller terms we
will break it down. Son in this sense means Jesus because he is the son of God.
Subordinate means lower in rank or position. Father in this sense means God. Now
the question becomes does Jesus have a lower rank or position to God. There are two
different sides to this question. The first side is that The son is subordinate to the
father on Earth but not in eternity. The other side is that the son is subordinate to the
father on Earth and in eternity.
The Son is Subordinate to the Father on Earth but not in Eternity
We know that the son was subordinate to the Father while on Earth. We know this
because the Bible gives examples of the son being subordinate to the father. In
Hebrews 1: 4 5, it says, having, become as much superior to angels as the name he
has inherited is more excellent than theirs. For to which of the angels did God ever
say, You are my son, today I have begotten you ? Or again, I will be to him a father,
and he shall be to me a son ? This shows that God the Father has taken Jesus as his
Son. This indicates that God sees him as a lower authority because he is his son.
Just like how our earthly father sees us as a lower authority this is exactly how
God sees his son, Jesus on Earth. In John we should also take note that Jesus prayed
to God. We pray to God because we know he has

Giuliano della Rovere, aforementioned nephew of Sixtus IV fled to France shortly
after Alexander VI s ascension to the papal throne. From there he slowly gained
support on top of the influence and wealth he already had in Rome. In 1503, he
returned to the Vatican for the conclave that followed Alexander VI s death. For the
second time, his attempt at the papal seat failed when the cardinals chose Cardinal
Francesco Todeschini Piccolomini, nephew of Pius II and a renowned man of virtue
as the new pontiff who then took the name of Pius III. The newly elected popedied

Large areas in Romagna had fallen outside the jurisdiction of the papacy or
claimed by Venice after Alexander VI s death. In 1508, the circumstances forced
Julius II to create the League of Cambrai or more melodramatically known as the
Holy League, an anti Venetian alliance between the papacy, Louis XII, who then
ruled Milan, Emperor Maximilian I, and Ferdinand II of Spain, who was king of
Naples. The league troops defeated Venice in May 1509 near Cremona, and the Papal
States were restored.
Although the League was initially successful, by 1510, King Louis XII was
regarding Pope Julius II as a greater threat than Venice. For that reason, France
changed sides in the war and allied itself with Venice. Not long after, Venice
submitted to Julius II and allied itself with the papacy against France. Following a
year of fighting over the Romagna, during which the Veneto Papal alliance was
repeatedly defeated, the Pope proclaimed a Holy League against the French in
October of 1511. This league rapidly grew to include England, Spain, and the Holy
Roman Empire.
In 1512, Julius II successfully drove French across the Alps, but it was at the cost of
the occupation of Northern Italy by other powers, and Julius II, though he had
secured the papal authority in the states immediately around Rome, was essentially as
far as ever from realizing his dream of an

While Ebola is not an airborne virus, it can be transmitted through direct contact with
an infected person s fluids, such as blood, urine, vomit, sweat, semen and sexual
contact (Nevins, 2014). With these deadly symptoms and ease of transmission, the
Ebola virus can quickly wipe out an entire community. Yet, scientists have found that
the severity of the disease in humans varies widely, from rapid fatality to mild illness
or even asymptomatic response, further complicating the ability to quickly identify
infected patients and reduce the possibility of transmission (Kolata, 2014). Moreover,
the virus has different strains and mutates according to the specific environmental
conditions in which it exists (Peters et al., 1991). Although Ebola caught the world s
attention during the 1995 outbreak in Zaire, the first outbreak occurred in 1976. As
the chart below displays, 71% of the people infected died as a result of Ebola during
this first outbreak (Bulletin of the World Health Organization, 56 (2): 247 270, 1978).
With the current outbreak, this ratio has dramatically decreased as a result of
scientific research leading to early detection, but the current infected population is
more than 20 times the amount of any previous outbreak and this number continues
to grow as no vaccine exists to prevent the disease.
Given the severity of the disease and the growing scale of the infected population,
pressure to provide assistance increased on the Obama
Hitler s Hidden Drug Habit (Morell)
From 1939 to 1945, Hitler took drugs to cope with daily life. Now, Morell was the
person who first introduced the drugs to Hitler though it doesn t excuse Hitler
from his later actions. This was to help with Hitler s health problems and the
amount of stress he was under. Firstly, Morell was the main person of giving Hitler
drugs. In the documentary, Hitler s Hidden Drug Habit , it explains how Morell
became Hitler s physician. When Morell joined the Nazi Party, he heard gossip
from the Nazi elite. It was from them that Morell learned that Hitler was suffering
from stomach cramps. This was due to Hitler being a particular kind of vegetarian.

after curing Hitler of his cramps, that did annoy Hitler s inner circle (Bletchly and

Morell s drug cabinet had a gun cleaning oil which was banned from human

that the idea of having an ad about the worlds history and issues while showing

The use of intertextuality in the advertisement of Farmers Union shows Australian

Commonwealth Of Kentucky Classify The Various Assault
And...
Commonwealth of Kentucky classify the various assault and battery crimes.
An assault is: An unlawful attempt, coupled with apparent ability, to commit a violent
injury on the person of another; or An intentional, unlawful threat by word or act to
do violence to the person of another, coupled with an apparent ability to do so, and
doing some act which creates a well founded fear in such other person that such
violence is imminent.
A battery is any: Willful and unlawful use of force or violence upon the person of
another; or Actual, intentional and unlawful touching or striking of another person
against the will of the other; or unlawfully and intentionally causing bodily harm to
an individual. Violent offenses are overwhelmingly committed by males. There are a
number of factors that are analyzed in studying offender characteristics and different
studies use different characteristics as the basis of the study. Such characteristics
include, among others, age, race, gender, location, parental involvement, education,
past criminal history, drug/alcohol use, and mental illness. Therefore the states put
them in classifications because not all Assaults and Batteries are the same, so not
all the laws are. All these offences are placed in classes so before going in to the
charges basic break down of classification is need for more understanding. A class a
felony is punishable by 20 to 50 years in prison, or life imprisonment. (Ky. Rev. Stat.

God Is Omnipotent And Can Not Make Evil Good
1.If God is omnipotent, then God will be able to make evil good. Do you agree with
this statement? Give reasons for your answer.
My opinion to this statement does not come immediately. For this reason I plan to
briefly investigate the arguments for four main sub premises that either support or
reject the statement If God is omnipotent, then God will be able to make evil good .
These premise s are:
(A) God is not omnipotent and cannot make evil good
(B) God is omnipotent, but cannot make evil good
(i) God is omnipotent and chooses not to make evil good
(C) God is omnipotent and can make evil good.
Arguments that support Premise (i) deny statement A of any truth. If reasoning
behind statement (i) provide sufficient evidence to support premise (i) then I will be
disagree with statement A.
Arguments for Premise (ii and iii) ascribe partial truth to statement A but distinguish
between God s ability to possess the potential to make evil good v.s. God possessing
this ability and wanting to make evil good. This distinction supports premise A in
similar ways for both premise (ii and iii) raise a paradoxical puzzle into what
disposition God takes as one who is supposedly omnipotent, omnibenevolent and
omnipresent.
Reasoning for premise (iv) defends theism and the traditional form God is ascribed to
have.
The reason I have separated Statement Z into four sub premises is because how
these four sub premises are defended and countered works to serve the validity of

When deciding to expand your international market PEST analysis must be
considered. This would give an overview of the different macroeconomic factors
the company has to take into consideration. The PEST approach looks at political,
economic, social and technological factors. The political factor looks at how a
government interferes in the economy in areas such as trade restrictions, tax policy,
and tariffs. Economics factors have great influence in how business operates and
makes decisions about how it needs to grow or expand its business. Social factors
look at the cultural behavior such as attitudes and values and demography of a
country. These social factors affect the demand of a company s product.
Technological factors determine barrier to entry, production level and influence
outsourcing decisions. Using this approach we selected the following regions for

GPS Safety Bubble Technology Essay
Although Global Positioning technology has existed since the mid 1970 s, some of
the most significant advancements have taken place within the last five years. In
recent months, studies have been conducted by NASA and other institutions
concerning the use of advanced GPS technology in both computer controlled flight of
commercial aircraft and the establishment of no fly safetybubbles around designated
areas and buildings. In essence an aircraft s computer system would override a
manual command and not allow the craft to enter these designated areas. There are
many possible benefits of this technology, but with any new advancement also comes

To promote international cooperation in using GPS for peaceful purposes.
To advance U.S. scientific and technical capabilities. (Rand McNally).
During the first years of the GPS development the general public could access the
satellites, but could only realize positioning precision to about 350 feet of actual
position. This was due to a Selective Availability policy that was put in place by the
U.S. government to insure that the military would have superior navigational
capabilities to the public. This changed however in May, 2000 when the government
decided that these limitations were no longer necessary. Today it is possible, with the
proper equipment, for anyone in the world to determine his or her precise location to
within about 60 feet. All though the information is classified, it is rumored that today,
using the most sophisticated GPS technology, the military can achieve precision
within 1 foot of actual position.
The current Global Positioning System is a group of satellites, known as a
constellation, which continually broadcast both their exact locations in space and
the exact time. By tracking the signals from at least four of these satellites, a GPS
receiver on earth can determine its current latitude, longitude and altitude. Some GPS
receivers can also report the current time, direction of travel and the rate of distance
traveled. This is all possible because both the GPS receiver and the Satellite count
time on an atomic clock.

Hindu India vs Muslim India
At first, the aim of the Muslim League was to establish friendly relations between the
Muslims and the British Crown. After the Royal decision of the annulment of the
partition of Bengal in 1911, Muslim League saw that in order to get their requests
dealt with, they need to form relations with the Congress, the representative party of
Hindus. Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the member of Congress, also joined the Muslim
League in 1913. After witnessing the annulment, he worked on a pact to unite
Muslims and Hindus which was eventually signed on 30th of December, 1916 at

Simon Commission was sent ahead before its decided time, as stated in the
Government Act of India 1919 that a commission would be sent from Britain to India
to inspect the conditions concerning the constitutional reforms of this country. Simon
commission consisted of seven members and its chairman was Sir John Simon. The
commission consisted of only British. In their Annual Session of 1927, the Congress
leaders stated that they would boycott from any activities and proposals given by the
Simon Commission.
It reached India in 1928 and received a hostile welcome here. Go Back Simon! was
the slogan of the time. Then the Viceroy, Lord Irwin pleaded with Indian leaders to
cooperate with them. The Muslim leaders like Nawab Ismaeel agreed to it as he
thought that by boycotting to the commission would promote Congress. The
commission itself was secluded and appointed 3 members from the Central Assembly,
whose services will be required when needed. The Shafi League of AIML at that time
thought that by opposing Hindu boycott, they would be favored by the government.
In the end, the report submitted by Simon proposed provincial autonomy in India but
rejected parliamentary responsibility at the center. It accepted the idea of federalism
and sought to retain direct contact between the British crown and the Indian states.

Bruce Lee was Better than Chuck Norris
Why are there so many Chuck Norris jokes but hardly any Bruce Lee jokes?
Because Bruce Lee is no joke. Through his films, philosophy, and legacy, Bruce
Lee became an icon to the world. Lee s films had consumed the kung fu genre, and
in doing so made him an icon. First of all, kung fu was a new and growing genre,
and Lee had monopolized them. According to Bruce Lee s Wikipedia, before
stardom Lee would take on minor roles in American TV dramas; in order to prove
his worth, Lee went to China to star in films produced by Golden Harvest that
would be promoted to Hollywood executives. Lee broke back to back box office
records with his first two films The Big Boss and Fist of Fury. Lee then went on to
act and direct Way of the Dragon in which Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris filmed a
fight scene that is now considered one of the most memorable fight scenes in
martial arts films. While filming his fourth Golden Harvest film Game of Death,
Warner Bros had offered Lee a starring role in Enter the Dragon. Lee s untimely
death had occurred just days before the release of Enter the Dragon. Enter the
Dragon would go on to be one of the highest grossing movies of the year and instill
Lee as a martial arts icon (3 Acting Career). Secondly, Lee brought kung fu movies
to America. Lee provided the ground work for other martial artists such as Jackie
Chan and Jet Li to continue; in short, if Bruce Lee hadn t accomplished what he did,
Jackie Chan and Jet Li may have made it in China but not

though all the dances were amazing, there was one that inspired me and one really
did not inspire me. The dancethat really inspired me was Diazepam, choreographed
by Catalina Leon. I really liked how she did a dance about her anxiety because many

BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovskywas born in Votkinsk, the Viatka District in Russia on
May 7, 1840 to a Russian miner and a mother of French origin. During his early life,
Tchaikovsky did receive some musical training from a French governess in the form
of piano lessons, but the training did not continue. As a young child, Tchaikovsky s
family moved to St. Petersburg because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was in this position that he started to compose. He began by composing some
minor overtures, quartets, and one large symphony. In 1866 that he suffered from his
first nervous breakdown brought on the stress of overwork on his First Symphony.
His early works were to include two other symphonies, the violin concerto, and the
Piano Concerto in B flat Minor.
During his years in Moscow, Tchaikovsky was able to teach, compose, write, travel,
and associate with other composers of the time. With one of those, Balakirev, a
member of a group of Russian composers known as the Five , he formed a close
friendship, and from him he gained the idea for the fantasy overture Romeo and
Juliet. But the relationship between him and the Five soured, and he even later
parodied in one of ballets their use of certain folk melodies over and over again.
Although Tchaikovsky was enjoying life in Moscow among his composer friends,
he found himself constantly in periods of deep depressions and unhappiness. The
largest contributor to his bouts of depression and sadness was his self hatred and
guilt that he had from carrying a heavy secret: Tchaikovsky was gay.
In 1876, Tchaikovsky entered into a correspondence relationship with a wealthy
widow, Madame Nedezhda von Meck, who was an admirer of his music. First off,
she merely commissioned works for him to compose and
Asme Research Paper Benefits
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers is a world wide organization that
connects mechanical engineers with each other as well as with students. With
extensive benefits to student members, the ASME provides an extensive amount of
tools to help students gain skills and practical experiences inside as well as outside of
the engineeringclassrooms. The field of engineering is a field in which collaboration
is essential to solve problems, which is what engineering is, solving problems in
which the solutions advance our society. The organization of ASME provides just
that bridge that allows professional engineers to collaborate together in solving
complex problems. Not only are professional members able to connect with each

Professional members are able to network with professionals such as themselves.
The professional members who benefit most from ASME are the members who are
early career professionals. Early career members benefit most due to the fact they are
connected with engineers who have more experience in their field and can learn more
from them. Professional engineers are also able to access the same information as
student members, which is just another tool professional engineers can use in
advancing their own
Analysis Of Allen Ginsberg s Howl And
Allen Ginsberg was one of the greatest admired Beat Generation poets, who
particularly used free flowing, aggressive and occasionally a discourteous style of
language to show that the rule and social structure over heterosexuality can be filled
with opposition, so he decided to release queerness. Ginsberg strongly disputed
capitalism and conformity that notably consisted of sexual repression, so he
incorporated in the development of counterculture and challenged the
heteronormative, procreation driven society and was done with living at society s
limits. The idea of beat literature has a capricious form, although, also considers the
customary narration techniques, and indeed masculinist and heterosexist prospects.
The Beat generation indicates an individual that has been put down, or has been
oppressed around with deviated norms. Therefore, this impression of queerness is a
representation of him being an activist in society and used to take action to encourage
his differences, which contributes to strange and prohibited behaviours. In this essay,
being central to vicious and pleased queer performative spaces in the city and
embodying sexuality, it will examine Allen s, Howl and Sunflower Sutra ,
interpreting queer theory, and that it is essential to ideas of genderand sexuality that
are necessary for radical solidarity, Allen being a gay activist his principles of his
character seem unreasonable or destructive in contemporary political circumstances
in America s sexual
Contribution Of Marxist Historiography
Every point in history is an undeniable reaction to the events of the past. Marxist
historiographical thinking provides a method by which the world can interpret past
and current events in an attempt to evaluate and predict future struggle and
resolution. Throughout the centuries never has there been a greater need for Marxist
dialectical methodologies in examining the past events than that of the 21st century;
as ideological tensions rise due to the transvaluation that western societies go through
as a result of post modernist thinking and the rejection of 18th and 20th Century
Enlightenment and Modernist values respectively. In an attempt to understand the
role of Marxist historiography in the 21st Century one must first understand the
fundamentals of Marx s prepositions and their relation to Postmodernist thinking.
Marxist historiography stems from class consciousness which concerns itself with the
inequality and injustices associated with the presence of a hierarchical class system.*
It also proposes in a dialectical light that human action and reaction comes out of
materialist influences on the subject, which in turn shapes the material world. That
being said, the relevance of this historical viewpoint cannot be understood without
first getting a firm grasp of Hegel s theory of alienation; particularly the concept of
Subject vs Object and the ideal state of the human person being that of the absolute
spirit where this dichotomy (Subject and Object) merges into one
Stephen King A Memoir Of The Craft On Writing Analysis
In the presence of Stephen King s memoir called, A Memoir of the Craft: On
Writing, he expresses his inner thoughts on how he develops his capability in order
to construct the novels that exist today. Through the failures and the prosperous
moments, he still began to write and he never took a brief moment to pause with
regrets. He begins the memoir by relaying to the audience his secret ambitions by
asserting, Horror movies, science fiction movies, movies about teenage gangs on the

Stephen King s life certainly affects his works in many incomprehensible ways. This

Pi Human Communication Quotes
The blackness would stir and eventually go away, and God would remain, a shining
point of light in my heart. (Martel 232) Human communication is essential because
without it, people will start to be deprived of their humanity. Humanity is the
characteristics that belong to humans like love, compassion, sympathy, mercy, etc.
Isolation from humans and not being able to have any human communication or
contact, will lead to losing the sense of humanity in a person. I didn t have pity to
spare for long for the zebra. When your own life is threatened, your sense of
empathy is blunted by a terrible, selfish hunger for survival. (Martel 133) Pi loses the
compassion that he would have once had for the zebra. Without any human
communication, there was no one to reassure him as a support system for Pi.... Show

It is simple and brutal: a person can get used to anything, even to killing. (Martel
205) This quote describes how even though Pi despaired his first killing of the fish
because he took a life, he now becomes delighted at the idea of killing fish; he even
has hunter s pride now. This displays how Pi loses a part of his morality because of
the decisions that he had to make in order to survive because he did not have
anyone to confide in or talk to in order to stay grounded to who he is. He gave me
life, my own, but at the expense of taking one. He ripped the flesh off the man s
frame and cracked his bones. The smell of blood filled my nose. Something in me
died then that has never come back to life. (Martel 283) This is a dark moment for
Pi as he experiences an awful event, which causes him to lose the morality that he had

What Is The Theme Of Conflict In Lord Of The Flies
The book Lord of the Flies was written after the author William Golding came back
from second world war. William golding used his experiences from the conflict of
the war to write a book that has conflict as the core message. This is shown by the
direct war between civiliation and savagary. It is also shown by the underline
descriptions of the children being opposite to each other. The first point in the
book is the conflict between civilation and savagary. The conflict between these
two areas are shown by the using imagery of the two characters who represent
them. This is shown by the decription of both ralph and jack, the protaganist and
the antagonist. Ralph is shown within this book as The boy with fair hair , the fair
mentioned in this quote shows not only the colour of the boys hair but also has a
double meaning for the boy s nature. This shows that the boy is fair , kind,
civilised. The colour of the boy s hair also can symbolised that he is neutral or even
kind because of the fair colour (i.e white/blond)is lacking darkness... Show more

The main quotes that show the island are The shore was fleged with palm trees and
The long scar smashed into the jungle . These quotes present the island as both hell
and paradise. This can be seen by the imagary of the palm trees and the language
used to describe the parts of the island such as scar and how the smash into the
island. Both these words are veery negative showing that the island is much like
hell but the children see it as paradise because there are no parents that is why it is
show in both ways. The book The Lord of the Flies has the message of confict to
the core. This in my opinion is used to give the user insight into a battlefield. I
belive that the writer has used children to make the point more absorable and more
understandable from all walks of life. The writer has used his expeeriences to give
the conflict in this book meaning and
Summary Of Our Heroes Tale
*INSERT TITLE*
Our heroes tale begins in the small magical community of Enchantia, situated deep
within the Enchanted Rainbow Forest, far away from normal civilization. This forest
is thick with massive trees that bare a multitude of differently coloured leaves and
vegetation as far as the eye can see. Even though the forest is expansive, the
vegetation manages to remain fairly well kept, giving off a peaceful and calm vibe.
Scattered throughout the forest are large caves (some containing treasure!) and other
small animal communities. But, this story is not about the other communities, it is
about Enchantia and its residents. In particular, the small green dragon who goes by
the name of Grassy, and her best friend: Fluffy, the tiny... Show more content on

The idea that maybe they should leave their calm little community and go on the
largest adventure they could think of. It would lead them to new, interesting, exciting,
and unexplored lands; lands where they could live out their wildest dreams. They
would have to venture into completely unknown territory, that could potentially pose
a threat to the two friends. But nonetheless they decided that they would take the day
to prepare and leave by morning of the next day.
Come morning, the duo of friends were both very eager to embark on this adventure.
Since there were no maps of this secluded area, they decided that to start this
adventure they would pick a direction and just walk until they found something
interesting. After a few hours of talking, walking, and occasional snacking, the two
creatures stumbled upon the entrance of a large and somewhat dark looking cave.
I m not too sure I want to go in there Grassy, it looks pretty dangerous. What if we get
hurt? Remarked Fluffy.
Grassy, being the more courageous one of the duo, managed to convince Fluffy by
reminding her, We wanted an adventure right? Well, a dark and unexplored cave is
the best place to start!
You know what Grassy, you re right. This cave looks rife with adventure! And so,
they entered the cave, leaving all worry and hesitation behind them at the entrance.
After a few quiet minutes of walking down the cave, they reached the main cavern.

The Success Of Aston Martin
When one has a history of car racing talent, passion for automobiles and enthusiasm,
one can start their own car production and sales business. That s how the Aston
Martin brand was started, born into a garage by Lionel Matin and Robert Bamford.
After Lionel Martin emerged victorious out of the famed Aston Hill race, Aston
Martin was founded in the year 1913. The duo of Martin Bamford produced their
first car 2 years later in 1915 by fitting a four cylinder Coventry Simplex engine to a
1908 Isotta Fraschinni chassis. However, the First World War shattered their plans of
starting production as both car makers joined the army.
Down but not out, Aston Martin prevailed as soon as the War was over, with the
company being refunded to resume its activity. But soon after bad news again came
by when Bamford left Aston Martin in 1920. Luckily Martin found a wealthy
investor Count Louis Zborowski who saw the true potential of the brand and poured
heavy funds into its rejuvenation.
Aston Martin produced vehicles to compete in the French Grand Prix in 1922.It
gained fame by appearing in some of the most popular races of that time, the cars

ambassadorial position, widely seen as the first move by the new shareholders in
reviewing the leadership and strategy of the company. Aston Martin announced they
had appointed the Nissan executive Andy Palmer as their new CEO by 2014. As
sales had been declining, from 2015 Aston Martin sought new customers (particularly
wealthy female buyers) with cars like Lagonda and DBX while releasing concepts

Pauline Epistles Influence On Christianity
Possibly Paul s most significant mark on Christianity, his authorship of the Pauline
Epistles which influenced the first stages of the international development of
Christianity. The Pauline Epistles were a series of letters written by Paul, not only
giving guidance to early Christians, but most importantly, permanently clarifying the
Soteriology of Christianity. Paul s most important series of letters is considered to
specifically be the Epistleto the Romans (https://www.blueletterbible.org 2015). In
writing this, Paul summarises the core beliefs of Christianity, explaining the belief of
Jesus Christ and the resurrection in a few short sentences. (Romans 1:3 5). Further
on, Paul writes about the Power of the Gospel (Romans 1:16), the Guild of
Humankind (referring to humanities misunderstanding of God) (Romans 1:18), but
most importantly, Paul speaks about the concept of Love for One Another (Romans
13:6).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore in Paul s First Epistle to the Corinthians, Paul informs the Christian
communities on the subjects of sexual immorality, offering food to idols, and other
simple guidelines. Embedded in 1 Corinthians 15:3 6, is Paul s most important
message to his fellow brethrens, reminding them of the importance of the death and
resurrection of Christ, as well as mentioning his conversion experience. These are all
quintessential examples of Paul s personal effect on Christianity s spread and
assertion. As an example, Paul sparked the popularity of the quote Love your
neighbor as yourself (http://www.allaboutgod.com/ 2002 2015), as his letter would
have been very contraversial, and therefore very well known at the

Waiting for Godot, Act Without Words I much like the name suggests, has no
dialogue, which proposes that verbal communication is either impossible, pointless,
or both. The shrill whistle is the only form of communication in the play, and even
then, it seems to be unclear to the man and not present a clear message to him aside
from one that is startling and unhelpful to him. It only furthers Beckett s idea of
communication is worthless if there is nothing worthwhile to say, that the
translation of meaning between people can be difficult when we all live in our
own realities and our circumstantial existence can warp that meaning when we try
to communicate with others. In the end he is left there alone in his own misery in
the purgatory like place he is marooned in, this could be seen as an allusion to life
and how there is no real end to the suffering of being, that we must simply drift
through life no matter how asinine it appears to be and derive meaning however we

skirmish near Rio Grande. Between 1846 and 1848, the war fought between two
North American nations, the United States and Mexico. It began with a bullet, it
then took lives, it ended with a treaty, and it made its mark on history s timeline. It

Those in the free states, north tended to hold this view of the war. Many of the
people that moved to Texas ignored the slavery restriction. The northerners feared
that Texas would join the Union as a slavery state. It was that fear that Calhoun had

General Zachary Taylor leads U.S. troops past the Nueces River toward the Rio

Women Hollering Creek Essay
Waiting for Freedom
In the story Woman Hollering Creek Sandra Cisneros discusses the issues of living
life as a married woman through a character named Cleofilas; a character who is
married to a man who abuses her physically and mentally .Cisneros reveals the way
the culture puts a difference between a male and a female, men above women.
Cisneros has been famous about writing stories about the latino culture and how
women are treated; she explain what they go through as a child, teen and when they
are married; always dominated by men because of how the culture has been adapted.

She doesn t know being beaten by her husband is not a normal thing. She is living in
the suburbs with her husband with neighbors who in their own way, are trapped as

to guide heir, again, Cleofilas s only guide are the television series. The creek, the
televonelas and the border define the mythic spaces given to Cleofilas in her
fantasies of escape from a battering husband. (Mullen 6) The town which Cisneros
chose to have as the setting of the story, there isn t much for her to do; in the town
where she grew up, there isn t much to do except accompany the aunts and
godmothers to the house of one or the other to play cards. (Cisneros 44) Using that,
Cisneros helps the reader to get a taste of how the environment is. An environment
which women don t have a say in, an environment where woman don t have the equal
power as men; the environment Cleofilas was raised in.
In the story, Cleofilas starts living in a house in a suburban area. Beaten and
neglected by her husband in a house distant from her fathers house She is beaten
by her husband and trapped in a suburban house between two women who are
equally trapped: Dolores by the memory of her dead husband and sons, and

However, during 1931 when the universal studio was casting the 1931 s Dracula, Lugosi could only barely speak English, and therefore almost lost his chance at playing the iconic part ( Dracula (1931 English Language Film ). An evaluation will then be made to determine whether the duty of care the police owe to protect individuals from a known threat should be legally recognised. The common law duty of care was established in Donoghue v Stevenson [1932] AC 562 (HL) and refined in Caparo Industries plc v Dickman [1990] 2 AC 605 (HL). Any party including public authorities may owe a duty of care to another if particular conditions are fulfilled. Further to the general negligence position on public bodies, in instances of omissions the general principle is that there is no duty to act unless a special relationship exists. However, there is an exception, a duty is owed if proximity is established as demonstrated in Home Office v Dorset Yacht Co Ltd [1970] UKHL 2. Lord Bingham did not agree that the policy arguments established in Hill and subsequently followed in Brooks to be appropriate in the context of Smith. In Smith he attempted to introduce a liability principle . The principle proposed that where evidence is credible and the threat is specific and imminent, reasonable steps must be taken to assess such a threat and act where necessary. Palliative Care Rationale and Introduction, Background I have seen a disparity in palliative care both in the hospital and community settings; so, I wanted to research into what could be the potential barriers in hospital to support the palliative/end of life gold standards framework. Therefore, my question is what potential barriers nurses encounter when providing palliative care to older patients in acute hospital settings. Palliative care is an approach that improves the quality of life of patients and their families challenging the suffering associated with life threatening illness. (Public Health, 2013). According to Gardiner et al (2011) more deaths happen in acute hospital settings, mainly the older patients die in an acute hospital setting. Therefore... Therefore the finding of this paper can t conclude that it only focused on acute hospitals, this questions the validity of the paper, as the paper s title suggests that it only focused on acute hospital settings only, so the results from this study can t be generalized to other acute hospital settings. As Gardiner (2011) highlighted it s important for nurses to be able to reflect on the patient s needs and have a less task oriented focus. The cultural setting of an acute hospital is fixated on finding a cure for the patient, as reported by Gott et al (2013) nurses feel they are failing their patients if there is no cure for their illness. There is a need introduce the hospice philosophy into acute care settings in hospitals. McCourt et al (2013); Gott et al (2013). Gardiner et al, (2011) found that nurses focused on curative treatments within hospitals due to the nature of the setting. However, Gardiner et al (2011) also highlighted that nursing staff s attitude towards the end of life/palliative could be seen as a barrier in the care provided. Johansson and Lindahl (2012) established that nurses find it difficult to talk about death and they feel they do not know what to do. Vanderpool (2015) states that a key part of the nurse s role is having the correct knowledge and understanding, and providing the right information to support the patient/family in their decision making. NHS England (2014) highlighted that the most reported complaint was poor communication with patient and family from nurses. Insufficient knowledge of palliative care among nurses is well documented and is considered one of the main obstacles to providing high quality palliative care services. Gott et al

The requirements for acquiring these factors are the following: (1) That data acquisition cost is as cheap as possible; (2) that data analysis can be done in a short time; and (3) that data acquisition doesn t influence the speed of other traveling vehicles, in particular on roads with heavy traffic [2]. Pavement surface distress measurement is an essential part of a pavement management system (PMS) for determining cost effective maintenance and rehabilitation strategies. Visual surveys conducted by engineers in the field are still the most widely used means to inspect and evaluate pavements, although such evaluations involve high degrees of subjectivity, hazardous exposure, and low production rates. Concerto Grosso Music Baroque Concerto Grosso A Concerto Grosso is a genre of music where the musical material is passed between a small group of soloists (the concertino) and a full orchestra (the ripieno). The concertino generally has more virtuosic music than the ripieno, and they do not often share thematic material. It was developed in the late 17th Century, although the term Concerto Grosso would not be used until 1698 when Gregori published a set of 10 compositions. There are 2 forms of the Concerto Grosso the concerto da chГesa (a church concert) and the concerto da camera (a chamber concert). The concerto da chГesa alternated between fast and slow movements, and the concerto da camera was similar to a suite, in that it was introduced by a prelude, and incorporated popular dance ideas of the time. Concerto Grosso in D minor Concerto Grosso in D minor was composed by Antonio Vivaldi and was published in 1711. The concertino is made up of two violins and a cello, and the ripieno is made up of strings and a continuo. For the first 20 bars of the piece, the two solo violins play unaccompanied. The second movement (the Adagio e spiccato) is extremely short (only three bars long), and the instrumentation is tutti, as everyone is playing. In the third movement the solo cello does not play as the solo violins converse with each other. The Concerto is in D minor, and rarely changes key, however it does modulate briefly to the subdominant and the dominant keys (G minor and A minor).

  • 24. The Death Of The Father Subordination Today theologians have been debating whether or not the son has a subordinate relationship to the father. To help understand this question better in smaller terms we will break it down. Son in this sense means Jesus because he is the son of God. Subordinate means lower in rank or position. Father in this sense means God. Now the question becomes does Jesus have a lower rank or position to God. There are two different sides to this question. The first side is that The son is subordinate to the father on Earth but not in eternity. The other side is that the son is subordinate to the father on Earth and in eternity. The Son is Subordinate to the Father on Earth but not in Eternity We know that the son was subordinate to the Father while on Earth. We know this because the Bible gives examples of the son being subordinate to the father. In Hebrews 1: 4 5, it says, having, become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs. For to which of the angels did God ever say, You are my son, today I have begotten you ? Or again, I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son ? This shows that God the Father has taken Jesus as his Son. This indicates that God sees him as a lower authority because he is his son. Just like how our earthly father sees us as a lower authority this is exactly how God sees his son, Jesus on Earth. In John we should also take note that Jesus prayed to God. We pray to God because we know he has

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While Ebola is not an airborne virus, it can be transmitted through direct contact with an infected person s fluids, such as blood, urine, vomit, sweat, semen and sexual contact (Nevins, 2014). With these deadly symptoms and ease of transmission, the Ebola virus can quickly wipe out an entire community. Yet, scientists have found that the severity of the disease in humans varies widely, from rapid fatality to mild illness or even asymptomatic response, further complicating the ability to quickly identify infected patients and reduce the possibility of transmission (Kolata, 2014). Moreover, the virus has different strains and mutates according to the specific environmental conditions in which it exists (Peters et al., 1991). Although Ebola caught the world s attention during the 1995 outbreak in Zaire, the first outbreak occurred in 1976. As the chart below displays, 71% of the people infected died as a result of Ebola during this first outbreak (Bulletin of the World Health Organization, 56 (2): 247 270, 1978). With the current outbreak, this ratio has dramatically decreased as a result of scientific research leading to early detection, but the current infected population is more than 20 times the amount of any previous outbreak and this number continues to grow as no vaccine exists to prevent the disease. Given the severity of the disease and the growing scale of the infected population, pressure to provide assistance increased on the Obama

Now, Morell was the person who first introduced the drugs to Hitler though it doesn t excuse Hitler from his later actions. This was to help with Hitler s health problems and the amount of stress he was under. Firstly, Morell was the main person of giving Hitler drugs. In the documentary, Hitler s Hidden Drug Habit , it explains how Morell became Hitler s physician. When Morell joined the Nazi Party, he heard gossip from the Nazi elite. It was from them that Morell learned that Hitler was suffering from stomach cramps. This was due to Hitler being a particular kind of vegetarian. I think that the idea of having an ad about the worlds history and issues while showing normal every day Australians playing out the roles and then able to hide the real message is a sensational advertisement. An assault is: An unlawful attempt, coupled with apparent ability, to commit a violent injury on the person of another; or An intentional, unlawful threat by word or act to do violence to the person of another, coupled with an apparent ability to do so, and doing some act which creates a well founded fear in such other person that such violence is imminent. A battery is any: Willful and unlawful use of force or violence upon the person of another; or Actual, intentional and unlawful touching or striking of another person against the will of the other; or unlawfully and intentionally causing bodily harm to an individual. Violent offenses are overwhelmingly committed by males. There are a number of factors that are analyzed in studying offender characteristics and different studies use different characteristics as the basis of the study. Such characteristics include, among others, age, race, gender, location, parental involvement, education, past criminal history, drug/alcohol use, and mental illness. Therefore the states put them in classifications because not all Assaults and Batteries are the same, so not all the laws are. All these offences are placed in classes so before going in to the charges basic break down of classification is need for more understanding. My opinion to this statement does not come immediately. For this reason I plan to briefly investigate the arguments for four main sub premises that either support or reject the statement If God is omnipotent, then God will be able to make evil good . These premise s are: (A) God is not omnipotent and cannot make evil good (B) God is omnipotent, but cannot make evil good (i) God is omnipotent and chooses not to make evil good (C) God is omnipotent and can make evil good. Arguments that support Premise (i) deny statement A of any truth. If reasoning behind statement (i) provide sufficient evidence to support premise (i) then I will be disagree with statement A. Arguments for Premise (ii and iii) ascribe partial truth to statement A but distinguish between God s ability to possess the potential to make evil good v.s. God possessing this ability and wanting to make evil good. This distinction supports premise A in similar ways for both premise (ii and iii) raise a paradoxical puzzle into what disposition God takes as one who is supposedly omnipotent, omnibenevolent and omnipresent. Reasoning for premise (iv) defends theism and the traditional form God is ascribed to have. The reason I have separated Statement Z into four sub premises is because how these four sub premises are defended and countered works to serve the validity of

During the first years of the GPS development the general public could access the satellites, but could only realize positioning precision to about 350 feet of actual position. This was due to a Selective Availability policy that was put in place by the U.S. government to insure that the military would have superior navigational capabilities to the public. This changed however in May, 2000 when the government decided that these limitations were no longer necessary. Today it is possible, with the proper equipment, for anyone in the world to determine his or her precise location to within about 60 feet. All though the information is classified, it is rumored that today, using the most sophisticated GPS technology, the military can achieve precision within 1 foot of actual position. The current Global Positioning System is a group of satellites, known as a constellation, which continually broadcast both their exact locations in space and the exact time. By tracking the signals from at least four of these satellites, a GPS receiver on earth can determine its current latitude, longitude and altitude. Some GPS receivers can also report the current time, direction of travel and the rate of distance traveled. This is all possible because both the GPS receiver and the Satellite count time on an atomic clock.

The commission itself was secluded and appointed 3 members from the Central Assembly, whose services will be required when needed. The Shafi League of AIML at that time thought that by opposing Hindu boycott, they would be favored by the government. Through his films, philosophy, and legacy, Bruce Lee became an icon to the world. Lee s films had consumed the kung fu genre, and in doing so made him an icon. First of all, kung fu was a new and growing genre, and Lee had monopolized them. According to Bruce Lee s Wikipedia, before stardom Lee would take on minor roles in American TV dramas; in order to prove his worth, Lee went to China to star in films produced by Golden Harvest that would be promoted to Hollywood executives. Lee broke back to back box office records with his first two films The Big Boss and Fist of Fury. Analysis Of Allen Ginsberg s Howl And Allen Ginsberg was one of the greatest admired Beat Generation poets, who particularly used free flowing, aggressive and occasionally a discourteous style of language to show that the rule and social structure over heterosexuality can be filled with opposition, so he decided to release queerness. Ginsberg strongly disputed capitalism and conformity that notably consisted of sexual repression, so he incorporated in the development of counterculture and challenged the heteronormative, procreation driven society and was done with living at society s limits. The idea of beat literature has a capricious form, although, also considers the customary narration techniques, and indeed masculinist and heterosexist prospects. The Beat generation indicates an individual that has been put down, or has been oppressed around with deviated norms. Therefore, this impression of queerness is a representation of him being an activist in society and used to take action to encourage his differences, which contributes to strange and prohibited behaviours. In this essay, being central to vicious and pleased queer performative spaces in the city and embodying sexuality, it will examine Allen s, Howl and Sunflower Sutra , interpreting queer theory, and that it is essential to ideas of genderand sexuality that are necessary for radical solidarity, Allen being a gay activist his principles of his character seem unreasonable or destructive in contemporary political circumstances in America s sexual

Marxist historiographical thinking provides a method by which the world can interpret past and current events in an attempt to evaluate and predict future struggle and resolution. Throughout the centuries never has there been a greater need for Marxist dialectical methodologies in examining the past events than that of the 21st century; as ideological tensions rise due to the transvaluation that western societies go through as a result of post modernist thinking and the rejection of 18th and 20th Century Enlightenment and Modernist values respectively. In an attempt to understand the role of Marxist historiography in the 21st Century one must first understand the fundamentals of Marx s prepositions and their relation to Postmodernist thinking. Marxist historiography stems from class consciousness which concerns itself with the inequality and injustices associated with the presence of a hierarchical class system.* It also proposes in a dialectical light that human action and reaction comes out of materialist influences on the subject, which in turn shapes the material world. That being said, the relevance of this historical viewpoint cannot be understood without first getting a firm grasp of Hegel s theory of alienation; particularly the concept of Subject vs Object and the ideal state of the human person being that of the absolute spirit where this dichotomy (Subject and Object) merges into one

A bright barren wasteland of nothing in which there is a man, completely alone trying to decide what to do next, reflecting upon his situation is the beginning of Act Without Words I, the man is in a hopeless setting and all help or comfort he might have is stripped away from him. We see much the same in the tragicomedy Waiting for Godot but with two men who are waiting and trying to decide what to do while they look for the arrival of the mysterious Godot. He really has no choice; the water is unattainable and will always be denied to him. The tree offers some comfort but then that is taken from him, all things in which he might find ease to his suffering are taken or pulled just out of reach. Even when he seems to come up with the idea to hang himself and then end all his misery that too is removed as an option and even death is taken from him. In stark contrast to Waiting for Godot, Act Without Words I much like the name suggests, has no dialogue, which proposes that verbal communication is either impossible, pointless, or both. The shrill whistle is the only form of communication in the play, and even then, it seems to be unclear to the man and not present a clear message to him aside from one that is startling and unhelpful to him. It only furthers Beckett s idea of communication is worthless if there is nothing worthwhile to say, that the translation of meaning between people can be difficult when we all live in our own realities and our circumstantial existence can warp that meaning when we try to communicate with others. In the end he is left there alone in his own misery in the purgatory like place he is marooned in, this could be seen as an allusion to life and how there is no real end to the suffering of being, that we must simply drift through life no matter how asinine it appears to be and derive meaning however we can.
