Olaudah Equiano, also known by the name of Gustavus Vassa which was given to
him by his master on a slave ship, was born in the Eboe province of Africa in 1775
1776. Eboe was a part of the kingdom of Benin which is now present day Nigeria.
Equiano, like many others, lived in a village and was kidnapped and sold into slavery.
From the chains of enslavement to the freedom in London, he believed that he and
his countrymen deserved freedom and equality. Religion would have a huge impact
on Equiano s life as he converted to Christianity after having many near death
experiences on his voyages around the world. He also used religion to argue his case
against slavery as he became involved in the abolitionist movement in London in the
late 18th century. Later in life, Equiano would begin writing his autobiography The
Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano, or Gustavus Vassa, the African,
Written by Himself and was published in 1789. The book would relive Equiano s

Canada and Orphan Drugs Policy
Canada adopted an Orphan Drug policy on October 3, 2012. This made it the last
developed country to adopt an orphan drug policy. In July 2011 the orphan drug
Soliris, now available through restricted access, received funding from through the
Pan Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance, which negotiates drug prices for all
provinces and territories in Canada.
Health Canada will launch a regulatory framework for orphan drugs soon.

The Effect Of Water Quality On Faecal Contamination
The aim of this research project is to investigate the water quality in the Barcombe
Mills tributary. By collecting samples along the stream, becomes an attempt to be
illustrated the qualitative state of water, centring on faecal contamination. It is
attempted to assess the risk of water related illnesses from faecal contamination to
persons coming in contact with the river. It will also be a review of the causes of
poor water quality in Barcombe Mills tributary, in order to be applied techniques to

The focus of this study is to continue previous research relating the significance of
cultures and dreams. These studies have set out to show what how much of an effect
culture has on dreams. To measure this, other researchers have recorded participants
typical dreams. These studies have helped us to understand some of the differences
in beliefs, values, and structure of other cultures as well as the differences and
similarities. Through analyzing the differences and similarities of our various
cultures we learn what humans share in values as a whole and how our society
influences our thinking and actions. By interviewing two people from two different
collectivistic cultures, there should be a great deal of similarities between the two.
Any differences recorded found will be derived from individual perspectives rather
than culture. The goal of the research is to show culture doesn t heavily influence our
dreams but rather individual perceptions of the world around them do. There isn t a
significant difference in typical dreams between cultures, rather researchers tend to
agree that culture doesn t have much of an effect on dreams and it has more to do
with our individual perception of our day (Jaenicke 2009).
