century Burmese, Indian, and American pieces ascend directly from English furniture
designs. When an influx of English people went to India, local craftsmen imitated
English styles, but with native materials and techniques. Since the British led the
American colonies, their styles have influenced the United States, and the Gilded Age
period was no exception. Putting the Anglo Indian pieces with the American and

With my arrangement, the visual organization of the space is meaningful and invites
examination of its conceptual foundation (Robinson, 32). Viewers would read the
labels and consider why these pieces were put together and what that says about the
cultures represented. They could make connections between not only the pieces, but

Andrew Jackson became known as the war hero after the Battle of New Orleans. His
victory over the Indians in the battle helped his public recognition and increased his
popularity in society. In the election of 1820, Andrew Jacksonran for presidency and
won with flying colors. Jackson s humble background gave him an edge over other
candidates he was the voice for the common man and endorsed the idea of national
democracy. His years in office was named the Jacksonian era as he changed the
views and ideas of politics forever. Jackson s supporters called themselves the
Jacksonian democrats and viewed themselves as the guardians of the United States
Constitution, political democracy, individual liberty, and equality of economic
opportunity. Although this is true to a certain extent, Jackson advocated what he
thought would be beneficial to the common man. Jackson spread the equality of
economic opportunities and remained loyal to the constitution, but fell short when

The bread is a symbol of Jesus kindness and generosity that was so cruelly ignored.
Charles Causley changes a lot of the facts of the story, without changing the moral
and message. He uses words such as newspaper ,
TV , election that were obviously not present at the time of the original story. When
reading the Bible version it is sometimes hard to think it was not set in a different
world to the one today. So he uses these modern words so people living today will
be able to identify with the story.
When he says bullet proof limousine I don t think he is just using it for

The tone of the poem is amusing at the beginning. Causley uses humour in his poetry,
which I believe again is to appeal to children. He creates images of God sitting in
his big blue chair , Gabriel in the shiny gear and of the neighbours gossiping that
Mary has been up to no good . These are funny because it is looking at the story
from a new perspective. Before reading the poem you have not thought of it in this

bad faith and authenticity, people must regard women as subjects and not objects.
They must also collectively fight against the idea of womanhood in order to remain
authentic to themselves. The myth of woman is the idea that women are inherently
different than men. Man believes that he posits himself first, and then posits others.
In the myth of woman, men see women as others that are incapable of positing
themselves. The reality is that women are the same as men in an existential sense.
They are both subjects, who posit themselves before they posit others. Man uses the
myth of woman to subjugate women and treat them as lesser, as [the myth of

intellectual disability include autism, Down Syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome, and Fetal

It was interesting watching the interactions between the players as they organize and
time themselves accordingly without a conductor. They all constantly made eye
contact and used exaggerated body language to keep in time with each other and to
know when to start the pieces. Gordon Cleland directly interacted with the audience
before the second piece, explaining the development of the composition and stories of
Haydn. This was evidently appreciated by the audience as it permitted them to
understand the piece better and appreciate the development of the melody more.
Overall, the content and happiness is obvious in all the performers as they all seemed
blissful with playing this piece. This radiated throughout the hall as the audience can
feel the enthusiasm behind the performance, allowing them to appreciate and enjoy
the concert further.
Being this was my first classical music concert, I was extremely intrigued by the
performance. It was fascinating to watch the performers as they became engrossed in
the music. It altered the means I listened to the music performed as I started
becoming captivated in the melody alongside the musicians, which opened me to
appreciate the pieces more. So many different emotions were provoked through
