Organic Flame Retardants
1.2.2.2 Organic flame retardants Organohalogens compounds are one of the major classes of flame
retardants, which means a class of organic compounds. They are the most common method for using
flame retardants in polymer materials. Most of these compounds act on the gas phase. The halogen
flame retardants disrupt the gas phase reactions by reducing the temperature of the fire. Generally,
halogenated compounds are widely used such as in industrial chemicals, as additive with epoxy resins
to obtain flame retardant materials. Halogen based compounds contain bromine and chlorine, which
are the most effective elements in the gas phase. Table 2 shows the most important brominated and
chlorinated flame retardants2.

Therefore, there is strong pressure from the government and those consider about the environment to
use non halogen flame retardants because of the health and environment concerns6. For example,
many organohalogen compounds, especially flame retardant epoxy resins containing bromine or
chlorine, can produce a super toxic halogenated dibenzodioxins and dibenzofurans that leads to
damage to human health6,9. In fact, the combustion of halogen compounds produces toxic smoke,
which is potentially harmful to humans and animals. Therefore, most fire deaths and injuries result
from inhaling carbon monoxide. The incorporation of organohalogens makes the yield of toxic smoke
of products increase during combustion10. Therefore, a significant flame retardants should be invent
to make the most an efficient way of obtaining the environmentally friendly flame retardant system.
Because of the environmental concerns about using organohalogen compounds to make flame
retardants, using organophosphorus compounds as flame retardant with epoxy resins has degraded
readily to form compounds have harmless effect. Phosphorus is a highly effective flame retardant
because it reduces the amount of flammable gases that are released from a decomposition of the
polymer6. Table 3 shows the most important phosphorous containing flame retardants2. The most
common methods for adding phosphorous is mixing it with an inorganic and organic compound into

Why People Win Public Support
In their own way, all four themes may help us win public support for the group advocacy project. If an
individual can approach the public with meaningful, powerful, and confident information then their
chances are strong that they may have the potential to win public support. The theme that stands out to
me the most in regards to winning public support is rights. Rights stands out to me for multiple
reasons. The theme for the advocacy project I am participating is is Aboriginal Rights. A tremendous
struggle for indigenous people is rights. As described in the text, they are victims of discrimination
and advocate for their rights (Abramovitz, 2004). It is imperative that these individuals are advocated
for because they do not always have access

The Catcher in the Rye by J.D Sallinger, Questions and...
For this guided reflection paper, I observed two classrooms, the first was Mr. M s 10th grade, 3rd
period ELA class and the second was Mrs. L s 11th grade, 4th period ELA class. Both observations
were done on April 9th at the same high school. The focus for this paper was the teachers and specific
components of their lesson plans. Both classrooms were not only engaged in different reading
materials but also in different parts of their unit plan. Mr. M s class was just beginning their unit plan
on the novel The Catcher in the Rye while Mrs. L s class was finishing up their unit plan on the novel
The Scarlett Letter. Both classrooms had different, specific learning goals, activities, and assessments.
Mr. M s lesson was meant to introduce students to the novel The Catcher in the Rye and get them to
start working on their culminating journal project. One learning goal for the lesson can be found in the
AIM, How can observing our surroundings help us to understand our place in the world . One way Mr.
M addressed this learning goal was through the DONOW, by having the students observe their
surroundings and write about what they observed, the students become more aware of their
surroundings. This not only helps them understand and connect with the main character Holden, but
also helps them discover more about themselves as a person and understand their place in the world . I
spoke with Mr. M after class about the lesson and he informed me that he was using

Impact Of Ecosystem On The Deepwater Horizon Spill
The oil and refined products are a mixture of various hydrocarbons and other compounds whose
physical and chemical properties vary; during an oil spill, the composite determines the behavior and
impact on the environmental elements such as physical, biological, ecosystem, and the economical
impact. During this Case Study I will continue to discuss the characteristics of each affected
ecosystem including organisms commonly found in the Deepwater Horizon Spill affected area,
potential threats based on their relative location to the spill, and the economic impact of damages in
these communities.
Main Body
During the Deepwater Horizon Oil spill an estimated five million barrels of oil was released into the
sea. The BP oil spill is the largest chemical dispersants in marine waters in US history. The oil slick
affected the states of Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Louisiana the spill impacted more than
110 kilometers from the coast of Louisiana. Other affected are outside the US was the coasts of
Mexico and Cuba. Understanding various ecosystems allow us to better understand the impact in
which the Deepwater Horizon Spill had within each type of ecosystem. The oil spill affected three
specific types of ecosystems including the coastal, freshwater, and the upland areas. Wetland plants
are called hydrophytes; in the past wetlands had been viewed as wasted land, fortunately scientists
have realized that wetlands have a tremendous value to our ecosystem. Wetlands are

Ohm s law resistors in parallel in series
Lab 4
Class: PHY 1434 E475
Due date: March, 13 20144
Group Names: Hisham Sageer
Objectives:
Our object is to confirm Ohm s law by analyzing the dependence of the electrical current as a function
of voltage and as a function of resistance. Also, we studied the current flow and voltage in series and
parallel. Finally, the lab determined the equivalence resistance of series and parallel combination of
resistors and compared the results with theoretical data.
Theoretical Background:
The first thing that needs to be described in this lab is what the electric current I:

instructor has checked the circuits, turn on the power supply. c Vary the output voltage of the power
supply from 4 V to 10 V in the increment of 1 V and record the readings of the voltage V across the
resistor and the corresponding current I through the resistor in Table 1. d Using the same circuit setup,
set resistance of the variable resistor box to R = 1200Ω and repeat the steps 2 and 3.
2 Investigate the variation of the current with resistance when the voltage is constant. a Use the same
circuit setup and set the output voltage of power supply to 12V. b By keeping the output voltage of the
power supply constant, vary the resistance of the resistor box from 700 Ω to 1700 Ω in increments of

There are many people in my life that have done great things. My mother and my father raised me in a

emphasis on the commandment Thou shall not kill . On December 7th, 1941, while Doss was 22 years

He was sent to Fort Jackson, South Carolina, to become a medic for the newly reactivated 77th

a weapon into combat, and to fight on Sunday (the Sabbath) which his higher ups harassed him for. He

He served in campaigns in Guam and the Philippines in 1944, and the United States was closing in on
the Empire of Japan through their island hoping campaign. The United States had one more island to
go, Okinawa. Okinawa was only 400 miles from mainland Japan and that would serve as an invasion
base for mainland Japan, and a launching point for air assaults on Japan. The taking of Okinawa
would be of huge strategic importance to the United States of America.

An Era Of Advancements, 1945-1970
An Era of Advancements Jackie Robinson once said Life is not a spectator sport. . . . If you re going to
spend your whole life in the grandstand just watching what goes on, in my opinion you re wasting
your life. Robinson was always looking to advance not only in baseball, but in life as well. During the
years 1945 1970, Americans experienced prosperity, advancements, and controversy. For example, the
assassination of John F. Kennedy caused Americans to question the honesty of the government. In
addition, Americans also faced massive Civil Rights movements and anti war protests that divided the
country. Some other events/people that affected this era were Martin Luther King Jr., the Space Race,

Project MKUltra, sometimes referred to as Project Monarch, is a program of many different
experiments tested on American Citizens by the CIA. Experiments on humans were intended to

Essay On Sharpen My Instruments

because her next appointment was scheduled for November 10th since that was my next Thursday
appointment on my schedule. During the morning since I did not have a patient, I decided to sharpen
my instruments because my afternoon patient had a lot of supra and subgingival calculus and I wanted

those I used the after 5 instruments. My patient was comfortable during the whole procedure, and
while we were waiting for the lower teeth to get anesthetized, I went over the flossing and the
brushing techniques. I recommended the used of interdental brushes because she has recessions and

Hunting Should Not Be Banned
In a civilized and cultivated country, wild animals only continue to exist at all when preserved by
sportsmen ( MARC FOLCO: Some hunting, fishing quotes to live by ). Hunters are the leading source
for all conservation programs. Theodore Roosevelt was one of the most passionate hunters. People put
down hunting like it s a bad thing. Many hunters contribute billions of dollars the the economy.
Hunting should not be banned because of the positive impacts it has on society. Through strictly
regulated hunting we have reintroduced and repopulated various game species into areas where they
were previously wiped out due to extremely excessive hunting by settlers. In the early 1900s all of
Indiana s whitetail deer were virtually extinct. By the 1930s whitetail deer were beginning to be
reintroduced into Indiana. In just 20 years after initial reintroduction the population was at a
sustainable level so that regulated modern hunting programs could begin. Conservationism has been a
necessity to the ecology of the United States and many other countries around the world. The U.S.
Forest Service by itself manages 193 million acres of public land nationwide or roughly 8% of the
total land in the United States. The management of this land would not be feasible without the funding
hunters provide through licenses, tags, and stamps. The 193 million acres does not include any public
recreational land on the state level. There is 2,260,380 acres of public hunting land in all the states

College Essay About Tulane
New Orleans is a city that has always been immensely fascinating to me. I love that every street corner

child and I love it. The energy of the city is so uplifting and inspiring. Earlier this year when I first
learned about Tulane, I was ecstatic and couldn t wait to apply. My hometown of Austin, Texas is also
a city filled to the brim with life and culture, but it is so different from New Orleans. Attending Tulane
would be a major challenge for me but one that I would be extremely willing to take on. I would be
exposed to so many new things and would be forced to step out of my comfort zone. It would be a
thrilling opportunity to live in such a unique city during a time when I am exploring who I am. I
particularly love how Tulane incorporates the local culture into school activities. The crawfish boils
and Mardi Gras traditions are things that I have not been exposed to in Texas, and I would be excited
to experience them at Tulane.

The Stately White Columns Fice Occupied By William J....
The stately white columns the interior for The Arkansas capital lead to the executive office occupied
by William J. Clinton only 30 years ago. After a successful college career at an elite university
Governor Clinton decided make the move home to his birth state of Arkansas. Hillary Rodham
begrudgingly followed along with fierce independence and a law degree. Rodham maintained a job at
the university of Arkansas after her husband s loss in a congressional election, and practiced law
through court appointments. Eventually her husband would successfully run and become Arkansas s
Attorney General, then Governor. As Hillary continued to practice law, her focus would eventually
shift to early childhood education and health. Rodham wasn t what Arkansas envisioned for a first
lady at the time. She was a working wife, who refused to take her husbands last name, and didn t seem
to fill the role as a traditional homemaker. Still, her husband remained fairly popular after his
rebounding election in 1982. In 1992 and 1996, Clinton easily carried the state, although that was the
last time a Democrat would take the six electoral votes from Arkansas. Now in a matchup with New
Yorker Donald Trump, it is highly unlikely Arkansas s former first lady will come close to Trump in
the Natural State. Racial distribution, religion, education, a large rural population, and indications
from previous elections, all point toward a significant Clinton defeat on November eighth.

Julius Caesar as the Noblest Roman of Them All Essay
Julius Caesar as the Noblest Roman of Them All
In William Shakespeare s Julius Caesar the victorious Mark Antony calls his rival Brutus, the noblest
Roman of them all . At the start of the play we witnessed Cassius persuade Brutus to join a conspiracy
to kill Caesar.
In my essay I intend to discuss four main characters in order to prove or disapprove Mark Antony s
statement.
The play starts off with Julius Caesar entering Rome after his victory in the civil war against Pompey.
Some of the conspirators feel that Caesar has become too powerful so they conceive a plan to kill him.

Cassius approached Brutus in act 1, to tell him that he felt that Caesar was becoming too powerful
Why man he doth bestride the narrow world like a colossus, and we petty men walk under his huge

Tokyo Financial to get its opinion about the Japanese yen Australian dollar exchange rate. The current
rate is ¥67.72/A$, and Mitsubishi thinks the Australian dollar will weaken by 5% over the next year.
What is Mitsubishi s forecast of the future exchange rate? Answer: If the Australian dollar weakens

Marrying Absurd
Joan Didion s essay Marrying Absurd is a comical review of Las Vegas and its wedding business. It
gives the reader a more in depth look at the things they always expected were happening in Nevada
but were never concerned enough about to do the research. While I already knew most of the
information in the essay, Didion presented it in such an entertaining, sarcastic manner that I was never
bored. Without coming right out and saying just what she thought of the industry she told us exactly
how she felt about the Las Vegas spur of the moment way of life by choosing her words very carefully.
All of these services, like most others in Las Vegas...are offered twenty four hours a day, seven days a
week, presumably on the premise that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Didion ends her essay in the most effective way possible, with one last story to tie it all together. The
picture of the wedding party sipping pink champagne (minus the bride who is too young to do so) is
classic and illustrates her points without her having to reiterate them. By mentioning that the bride was
several months pregnant she shows that the Las Vegas wedding is probably not the real desire but the
necessity, demonstrating that drunken impulse is

Literary Analysis Huckleberry Finn
Since the commencement of time, people have been telling stories and sharing responses. So it comes
naturally that we would evolve and develop the ability to analyze what we are reading. Literary
analysis as a whole refers to the reader s ability to focus on all parts of the writing; plot, character,
setting, etc. By reading and discussing literature, we are able to magnify our imagination, our sense of
what is possible, and our ability to commiserate with others. Literally analyzing improves a reader s
ability to read critically and interpret texts. It proves to be extremely helpful that the reader is able to
fully comprehend what they are reading. Where literary analysis looks at multiple different parts all at
once, literary criticism allows ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout the story, the term nigger is used frequently. Nigger semantically connects the story to
black people and the time of slavery. In chapter six, Pap goes off about, ...a free nigger there, from
Ohio; a mulatter, most as white as a white man (Twain 28). As the reader can tell, Pap was not fond of
black people. He was a white man, whom common to the time period of, perceived colored people as
beneath whites. However, Pap is not the only person who believed whites and blacks were unequal.
Through the general framework of the story, slavery and racism are immense parts of the culture. A
major conflict throughout Huck and Jim s escape was that people could not find out that he was a
runaway slave. Had they realized Jim was a runaway slave, he would have been captured and taken
back to Miss Watson and the book would have gone a lot differently. In order to avoid this scenario,
Huck was constantly finding ways to disguise Jim, so people would either think that he was Huck s
slave or that Huck was going to turn him in. Huckleberry Finn s interworking of slavery links it to a
culture in which slavery and racism are abundantly

Great Depression DBQ Essay
The two sources are both primary because they are documented letters by individuals who wrote
letters to prominent people in certain positions of authority during the Great Depression. The first
letter was written by a taxpayer from Hornell, New York March 7, 1934 and the other letter was
written by a male (D.B.P.) during the timeline reference of 1929 1939. The questions the first letter
raises are about the relief agencies in the United States and the possible need for investigation of the
type of work the agencies were performing. The other questions dealt with are the agencies giving
relief to ignorant foreigners who might not be citizens deserving of assistance because they were here
in the United States by illegal means. The first letter considering the frame of reference during the

also made a character assumption because he talked to an Italian man who was drinking alcohol (red

Analysis Of My Last Duchess
In the poems studied, love and death are presented in very different ways. My Last Duchess is a
dramatic monologue, which describes the Duke s obsession with his Duchess. Similarly, Do not go
gentle into that good night presents love and death as a battle to prevent deaths victory. Remember , in
contrast, explores love and death through subverting the sonnet form to guidance on coping with the
death of your partner.
The title My Last Duchess demonstrates from the outset the Duke s obsession by the use of the
possessive pronoun My . Furthermore, the fact that it is a monologue with no other contributory voice
exemplifies his need to dominate and possess even the dialogue. The curtain I have drawn for you is
an oblique and metaphorical reference to the death of the Duchess not only is he revealing the
Duchess s portrait but also the beginning of her end.
His need to possess is expressed by I call that piece a wonder, now the use of the word now and piece
is significant. It is only when his wife is a portrait that he can admire her and control who looks upon
her. The Duchess has been silenced through death. Browning presents love through the obsession of
the Duchess and reflects on how death can be caused by this. The Duke is based on Alonso II who was
the ruler of Ferrara, Italy in 1559 1597, and his wife Lucrezia died in a skeptical circumstance. The
duke and the envoy go back downstairs while the duke talks about a dowry and about this statue of the

Advantages Of Dispensationalism
1. Dispensationalism A Legitimate Theological System
Dispensationalism is a word that most theologians would sneer at because it is seen as a perversion of
the Scriptures. These theologians would not recognize the history of dispensationalism purely because
it would be seen as a relatively new system of interpreting Scripture. Dispensational theology receives
a lot of criticism because it is not properly understood.
Dispensationalism is mainly conservative in biblical interpretation and while there seems to be a
negative connotation to the word Evangelical ; those who subscribe to a dispensational view point are
evangelical Christians in a sense.

Essay On International Market Segmentation
Mission of an international researcher is sorely wide and it is important to determine the most

Raised Minimum Wage
In a 2015 survey conducted by The New York Times and CBS News, 71% of people surveyed
believed the minimum wage should be raised to $10.10 (Should The Federal). The minimum wage has
been increased by congress 22 times since 1938 and was last updated to $7.25 on July 24, 2009
(Minimum Wage). 3.3% of workers in the United States get paid the minimum wage or lower
(Background of). A federal minimum wage hike would lower poverty levels, decrease spending on
government assistance, and increase productivity in jobs. If the government raised the minimum wage,
then the amount of people in poverty would decline. The poverty line in 2015 was $12,331 a year,
only 20 percent below a full time minimum wage worker s annual salary of $15,080 (Should the
Federal). As a result, minimum wage citizens can barely meet their living needs. A study completed by
the National Low Income Housing Coalition in 2015 said that a worker must earn $15.50 an hour to
be able to rent a one bedroom apartment. If someone needed a two bedroom apartment they would
need to earn $19.35 an hour (Should the Federal). More people would be able to find adequate
housing or their family if minimum wage were to increase. As a result. Less people would be living on
the streets. If the minimum wage was raised to $9 an hour, over 300,000 people would be lifted out of
poverty. Even better, raising minimum wage to $10.10 an hour would result in over 900,000 people
out of poverty (Should the Federal). Consequently, more people would be living comfortably if the

Helicopter Parenting And Its Influence On Children s Life
Helicopter parenting has gained increasing awareness in popular media, academic literature, and the
general population. For example, recently, several popular parenting books have raised awareness
about parental over involvement and how it may be associated with negative outcomes. The term
helicopter parent was first used in a famous parenting book, Parents Teenagers by Dr. Haim Ginott in
1969, by teenagers who described their parents as hovering over them , like a helicopter. This term
refers to a parenting style that is over focused on children; being involved in a child s life in ways that
are over controlling and overprotective. Lester Smith defines helicopter or overprotective parents as
having a heightened surveillance of their children s lives (September 14, 2015), so that children are
never allowed to experience risk. This term is commonly applied to parents of college aged or high
school students who believe that their children are not capable of doing tasks alone, so they might call
a professor about their child s poor grades or manage their child s class schedule for them. Schiffrin et
al. (2013) emphasize children s need for autonomy and explain how this need increases over time as
they strive to become independent young adults (p. 529). Therefore, parents are recommended to
adjust their level of involvement and control to their child s developmental level (Schiffrin et al.,
2013, p. 529). However, many parents do not make this adjustment, and this

Dead Poets Society Conformity
What is conformity? To put it simply, it means to adhere to societal standards or norms . Adolescents
are particularly susceptible to such; when they begin to separate from their family and form their own
identity is when they also seek acceptance from their peers or live up to expectations from their
parental figures. Conforming to social norms help them redefine themselves while earning them
acceptance and approval. Fitting in simply feels good (Ulene 6). It means that by blending in and
mimicking the people around them makes teenagers feel good during the process of finding

Students go through their school career being told what to do and how to act. This will program the

What Are The Three Postulates Of Cell Theory
LESSON 1: CELL THEORY AND ITS PARTS/ORGANELLES AND FUNCTIONS
Living and Non living Things
All the things we see on earth are created by God Almighty. The rocks, air, soil, chemicals, plants,
trees, animals, humans among others exist on earth. But, we can classify them as living and non living
things. Living or biotic things have life, and therefore, governed by cells which performed roles for
life to occur. These are plants, animals and humans. On the other hand, non living or abiotic things do
not have life but they are essential to the existence of life. These are the rocks, soil and air.

Cells are the fundamental units of life Life is governed by cells, the basic unit. Life exists because of
cells. Without cells, there is no life on earth.
All organisms are composed of cells All life forms on earth are made up of cells. Microorganisms,
plants, animals, and humans are composed of cells.
All cells come from preexisting cells Cells originated from ancestral cells existing long time ago.
These cells undergo evolutionary modifications and adaptations with the physical environment.
General Cell Structures and Functions
Based on Bolsover et al. (2004), a cell has parts, structures or organelles (Table 2) that have a
respective function as a whole for life to occur (Figure 2). Generally, cells have parts such as nucleus,

The Debate Of Banning The Death Penalty
Public Executions The United States has been going through the debate of banning the death penalty
for decades; however, it continues to remain at a standstill as crime rates continue to stay the same
throughout the country. The people for continuing the death penalty happens to see their group split in
to two groups. One for the private executions and the other for public. Public executions can do many
things like deter crimes from happening, giving the victims closure, and finding the right kind of
execution method that is inexpensive and once used throughout history. The ability to deter crimes
with the method of public execution is one we should not waste. It leaves everyone with the
knowledge that there is nothing to keep them from being the next one on the chopping block so to
speak, especially if they have committed such a crime to deserve the sentence. It takes removes this
mindset that the public has come to grasp that everything does not have a consequence for the actions
they take. The scare factor works brilliantly in this regard, holding the public to a line they know not
to cross. With the line drawn, the number of convicts in the prison system would decrease. This will
also free up taxpayers money for other things like education, medical, security, and paying off the
national debt. Secondly, this would bring closer to the families, as well as, friends and acquaintances
of the victim. This type of execution would give everyone the benefit of seeing

Silver Essay Chemistry
I chose the element Silver (Ag) from the periodic table as my favorite because it s a beautiful piece of
metal. Its my favorite element because, it s commonly used for jewelry and looks very cool on me
when I wear a silver necklace. Also, because its color is just very appealing. The metal was refined by
cupellation, and the process was invented by the Chaldeans. It was created by heating the molten
metal in a shallow cup so it can oxidises the other metals mixed in the cup. such as copper and lead.
which leads silver to be unaffected. Silver was founded and invented around the year of 3000 BC. As
the years went on, the german mines became the main source of silver in europe and this came to be

Silver can be useful in many ways. Deodorant has silver chloride, which prevents body odor and
keeps the skin dry and free from sweat. Batteries have a silver ingredient that is useful. It is oxide
which makes them last for long periods of time. Lastly Detergent has the component of silver ions
which are released into the water to help eradicate bacteria and odor. It also provides antibiotic and
antifungal effects.
They are some pros and some cons for the element silver. They are 3 cons to silver, one would be if
silver liquid would come in contact with the eyes, it will irritate the eye and you can possibly lose
eyesight. The 2nd con is, is skin irritation by repeated contact and rubbing of the element on the skin.
The 3rd con is, its very hard to mine silver because its deep down in the earth and its dangerous.
There are also pros to the use of the element silver. Silver is used to make coins and jewelry. Silver is
commonly used in electronics, because electricity flows better through silver. Silver can also be used
as medicine. A Silver nitrite stick is used to control bleeding by (cauterizing) the skin. It s like burning

Reflection On Group Dynamics
This is my first semester at City Tech. When I signed up for the group dynamics class I expected to
have some difficulties. Prior to this class I worked on various group projects and for the most part it
was a wreck. The information given was unclear, members were not focused and/ or the professor was
too busy to help. As a result, I ended up doing all the work and not feeling confident in my projects.
This class on the other hand, has been totally different. The group that I am in is extremely unique. We
all have different ideas but we come together as a group to accomplish the task at hand. The
commitment of the group members has never been an issue. Our Professor is Nicole Borger, she has a
great attitude and is extremely down to earth. She is approachable and willing to assist her student s.
For instance, after the midterm, the class and the professor agreed that we didn t do well. We
discussed our issues and ways to review for the next exam. Due to, professor Borger attitude, I am
confident that the class will do exceptionally well. Both the group and the professor are clear on the
purpose of the class and, what is expected from each other. In conclusion, this class has changed my
perspective about working in a group. Since my prior experience with groups was so unsettling, I
believed that all groups were going to be the same. However, this class has made it possible to believe
that there are groups that respect and take into consideration other members

Motorola and Smartphones Essay

And that raised many eyebrows in blogosphere.
Does the Moto X have that in it to play the role of star performer?, a market which is powerfully ruled

DISPLAY, MULTIMEDIAAND PERFORMANCE
Well at the end of the day Performance is what matters .
The Moto X comes with a 4.7 inch AMOLED display, which has a great outdoor visibility and takes
brightness to all new level. The display has excellent viewing angles and a contrast output. But as it is
Amoled display we do get that bluish tint.
The X can handle whatever type of media you throw at it, even after considering that it ranks low spec

is not best in class but still it is fairly loud, and you won t require additional speakers. The 3.5 mm

The Moto X is designed to breathe Android, and device dies exactly that. No doubt when it comes to

victims deserve justice. Though this sentiment would likely be agreed upon by a majority of people,
the logistics of how exactly to carry out this punishment and procure justice are widely debated.
Recently, international courts and tribunals have been set up to try individuals for war crimes and
bring justice to the victims of these war crimes. However, these international courts and tribunals are
often ineffective. Throughout this paper, I will explain why I agree with Adam Smith that domestic or
hybrid courts are preferable over an international court system. There are several reasons why
international law is not the most effective way to achieve ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since justice is a concept that differs amongst every culture and group, it is difficult to empirically
measure the effectiveness of an international court in regard to providing justice. However, supporters
of international courts measure their success in ways other than justice brought. For example, if a
group sees that other criminals are being tried, sentenced, and punished appropriately by an
international court, one might assume that this group would be less inclined to carry out similar
crimes. According to Hyeran Jo and Beth Simmons in their 2016 study on international criminal
courts, a large study affiliated with the World Bank based on developing countries found that higher
conviction rates tended to reduce crime, even controlling for the death penalty (Jo and Simmons, 447).
Theoretically, an international court such as the International Criminal Court could deter groups and
individuals from committing war crimes based on this criminological data, if these individuals and
groups saw that the court prosecuted effectively and thoroughly. However, there are many instances
that show an international trial is not effective nor thorough. As mentioned earlier, the Khmer Rouge
tribunal lasted for a decade and only three individuals received a

Macbeth Rait Castle Essay
J. M. Barrie expressed that A house is never still in darkness to those who listen intently; there is a
whispering in distant chambers, an unearthly hand presses the snib of the window, the latch rises.
Ghosts were created when the first man woke in the night . The unknown is a terrifying notion, as
many people are afraid of what they cannot explain. There are many haunted locations in Scotland
where the Shakespearean play Macbeth takes place, and many of which are considered the most
haunted places on earth. Several of these places are castles that were once lived in, and had terrible
events unfold within their walls. Such as murderous deeds and betrayal, much like the play when
Macbeth kills his king and his best friend to secure the crown. ... Show more content on

The Rait Castle was built in the fourteenth century in Cawdor, by the Cummings family. In 1165 the
castle was granted to Saw Mackintosh, the son of Duncan Macduff and later served the crown. When
his father passed the castle was given to Angus which lead to him losing the land to the Cummings
family. This caused a feud between the two families for many years. In a deceiving act one of the
Cummings daughters told the Mackintosh s about a murder that was going to take place of the leader
of the Mackintosh s family, and the Mackintosh s ambushes before the Cummings could ( Rait Castle
). Legend says that the chief of the Cummings family fled upstairs to escape the massacre, and found
the daughter that betrayed the family. As she tried to flee out of the window he cuts off her hands as
she hung from it ( Rait Castle ). The castle is now reported to be haunted by her ghostly figure with no
hands, as she still wears the blood stained clothes. Her ghost is a haunting reminder of the past events
that took place in this castle, where many people died because of a little feud. Her presence is a
reminder to people that betrayal comes with a cause and even though she lost her life, she still did the
right thing and maybe saved some people s lives in return for her

Nt1330 Unit 1 Lab Report
In this section we first briefly explain the properties of a first order Delta Sigma modulated bit stream.
Based on these properties, we propose the P N pair method to process the Delta Sigma modulated bit
streams.
A Delta Sigma modulator converts an analog input signal to a Delta Sigma modulated digital bit
stream. A first order Delta Sigma modulator consists of an analog integrator, a one bit ADC, and a one
bit digital to analog converter (DAC), as shown in Fig. 2. In the Delta Sigma modulator circuit, the
analog input port and the digital output port can use either dual power supplies or a single power
supply. To avoid confusion, we use P and N to represent the polarity of the output digital signals. P
means a digital positive value true , while N means a digital negative value false . We use numbers to
represent digital or analog levels. For example, −1 and +1 represent the dual power supply level VSS
and VDD, respectively. 0 means analog ground, which is 0 volts in a dual power system. ... Show

When the input is positive, the digital output bit stream contains more P bits than N bits. There can be
consecutive P bits, but each N bit is separated by at least one P bit. Thus, there are no adjacent N bits
when the input is positive. Similarly, when the input is negative, the output bit stream consists of
single P bits separated by one or more N bits. A Delta Sigma bit stream toggles equally between N bits
and P bits when its analog value is 0. Delta Sigma modulation is a type of Pulse Density Modulation
(PDM), which means the output digital bit stream can be converted back to an analog value using a
digital moving average filter. Therefore, in a Delta Sigma modulated bit sequence ai, which has a total
of W bits, if there are n bits having the value N, and p bits having the value P, then the analog value y
of this bit sequence can be written

Food And Drug Law Journal Analysis
According to the Journal of Marketing and Communication, writing is one of the most crucial
elements to success in the business world. In both journal articles, Food and Drug Law Journal and
Journal of Marketing and Communication, I found a common theme. Each journal made a strong
emphasis that the main reason for any type of print in business is to acquire customers. The main
topics discussed in these journals were labels, marketing and communication. The main purpose of
these two journals are closely related. The Food and Drug Law Journal emphasizes points on between
the line facts about food and drugs and the corruption in those two industries. Where as the Journal of

In the Journal of Marketing and Communication, is a journal that is reader friendly. This journal was
for educational purposes, all of the context is straightforward and easy to read. On the other hand, the
Food and Drug Law Journal is written more for the professional world. Attorneys, judges, and
sometimes graduate students are the main audience for the Food and Drug Law Journal. This type of
reading is very professional, and informational. The type of writing displayed in these two journals
correlate with the audience for each journal. The Journal of Marketing is an easier read in comparison
to the Food and Drug Law Journal. The types of writing displayed in the Journal of Marketing are
informational, discussion and conversational. In turns, the Food and Drug Law Journal is written in a
formal and professional tone. All of the information displayed in this text is informational and very
dry to read. The way writing is used in the business field is extremely interesting. The type of writing
for every scenario is broken down into bits and pieces. Each piece is different depending on the case.
Writing in business is almost as important as the product itself. The way that the product is displayed
and is the major factor in how well the product will sell. Beneficial information is blown up, and
negative information is hidden. Writing in the business field is deceitful to say the

live in Saudi Arabia for almost three years and two years in Sudan.I have five years experience of arab

Some Muslim women believe that although the principles of modesty are clearly outlined in the Qu
ran, they perceive the wearing of the headscarf as a cultural interpretation of these scriptures. These
women sometimes believe that the values espoused by the wearing of the headscarf can be achieved in
other ways. Some women believe that while the hijab allowed women in the past to engage in public
society without garnering attention, the headscarf in contemporary Western society brings more
attention to women and is thus contradictory to its original purpose. Others believe that the hijab and
other external practices have become inappropriately central to the practice of Islam, and instead
choose to focus on their internal and spiritual relationship with God.While some women might choose
not to wear the hijab, most Muslim women agree that it is a woman s choice whether or not she wears
the hijab. Many Muslim and Arab women who have chosen not to wear the hijab are often staunch
advocates of a woman s right to choose to

They are the most common method for using flame retardants in polymer materials. Most of these compounds act on the gas phase. The halogen flame retardants disrupt the gas phase reactions by reducing the temperature of the fire. Generally, halogenated compounds are widely used such as in industrial chemicals, as additive with epoxy resins to obtain flame retardant materials. Halogen based compounds contain bromine and chlorine, which are the most effective elements in the gas phase. Table 2 shows the most important brominated and chlorinated flame retardants2. Therefore, there is strong pressure from the government and those consider about the environment to use non halogen flame retardants because of the health and environment concerns6. For example, many organohalogen compounds, especially flame retardant epoxy resins containing bromine or chlorine, can produce a super toxic halogenated dibenzodioxins and dibenzofurans that leads to damage to human health6,9. In fact, the combustion of halogen compounds produces toxic smoke, which is potentially harmful to humans and animals. Therefore, most fire deaths and injuries result from inhaling carbon monoxide. The incorporation of organohalogens makes the yield of toxic smoke of products increase during combustion10. Therefore, a significant flame retardants should be invent to make the most an efficient way of obtaining the environmentally friendly flame retardant system. Because of the environmental concerns about using organohalogen compounds to make flame retardants, using organophosphorus compounds as flame retardant with epoxy resins has degraded readily to form compounds have harmless effect. Phosphorus is a highly effective flame retardant because it reduces the amount of flammable gases that are released from a decomposition of the polymer6. For this guided reflection paper, I observed two classrooms, the first was Mr. M s 10th grade, 3rd period ELA class and the second was Mrs. L s 11th grade, 4th period ELA class. Both observations were done on April 9th at the same high school. The focus for this paper was the teachers and specific components of their lesson plans. Both classrooms were not only engaged in different reading materials but also in different parts of their unit plan. Mr. M s class was just beginning their unit plan on the novel The Catcher in the Rye while Mrs. L s class was finishing up their unit plan on the novel The Scarlett Letter. Both classrooms had different, specific learning goals, activities, and assessments. Mr. M s lesson was meant to introduce students to the novel The Catcher in the Rye and get them to start working on their culminating journal project. One learning goal for the lesson can be found in the AIM, How can observing our surroundings help us to understand our place in the world . One way Mr. M addressed this learning goal was through the DONOW, by having the students observe their surroundings and write about what they observed, the students become more aware of their surroundings. This not only helps them understand and connect with the main character Holden, but also helps them discover more about themselves as a person and understand their place in the world . Impact Of Ecosystem On The Deepwater Horizon Spill The oil and refined products are a mixture of various hydrocarbons and other compounds whose physical and chemical properties vary; during an oil spill, the composite determines the behavior and impact on the environmental elements such as physical, biological, ecosystem, and the economical impact. During this Case Study I will continue to discuss the characteristics of each affected ecosystem including organisms commonly found in the Deepwater Horizon Spill affected area, potential threats based on their relative location to the spill, and the economic impact of damages in these communities. Main Body During the Deepwater Horizon Oil spill an estimated five million barrels of oil was released into the sea. The BP oil spill is the largest chemical dispersants in marine waters in US history. The oil slick affected the states of Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Louisiana the spill impacted more than 110 kilometers from the coast of Louisiana. Other affected are outside the US was the coasts of Mexico and Cuba. Understanding various ecosystems allow us to better understand the impact in which the Deepwater Horizon Spill had within each type of ecosystem. The oil spill affected three specific types of ecosystems including the coastal, freshwater, and the upland areas. Wetland plants are called hydrophytes; in the past wetlands had been viewed as wasted land, fortunately scientists have realized that wetlands have a tremendous value to our ecosystem. For example, recently, several popular parenting books have raised awareness about parental over involvement and how it may be associated with negative outcomes. The term helicopter parent was first used in a famous parenting book, Parents Teenagers by Dr. Haim Ginott in 1969, by teenagers who described their parents as hovering over them , like a helicopter. This term refers to a parenting style that is over focused on children; being involved in a child s life in ways that are over controlling and overprotective. Lester Smith defines helicopter or overprotective parents as having a heightened surveillance of their children s lives (September 14, 2015), so that children are never allowed to experience risk. This term is commonly applied to parents of college aged or high school students who believe that their children are not capable of doing tasks alone, so they might call a professor about their child s poor grades or manage their child s class schedule for them. Schiffrin et al. (2013) emphasize children s need for autonomy and explain how this need increases over time as they strive to become independent young adults (p. 529). According to Hyeran Jo and Beth Simmons in their 2016 study on international criminal courts, a large study affiliated with the World Bank based on developing countries found that higher conviction rates tended to reduce crime, even controlling for the death penalty (Jo and Simmons, 447). Based on these properties, we propose the P N pair method to process the Delta Sigma modulated bit streams. A Delta Sigma modulator converts an analog input signal to a Delta Sigma modulated digital bit stream. A first order Delta Sigma modulator consists of an analog integrator, a one bit ADC, and a one bit digital to analog converter (DAC), as shown in Fig. 2. In the Delta Sigma modulator circuit, the analog input port and the digital output port can use either dual power supplies or a single power supply. To avoid confusion, we use P and N to represent the polarity of the output digital signals. P means a digital positive value true , while N means a digital negative value false . We use numbers to represent digital or analog levels. For example, −1 and +1 represent the dual power supply level VSS and VDD, respectively. 0 means analog ground, which is 0 volts in a dual power system. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When the input is positive, the digital output bit stream contains more P bits than N bits. There can be consecutive P bits, but each N bit is separated by at least one P bit. A Delta Sigma bit stream toggles equally between N bits and P bits when its analog value is 0. Delta Sigma modulation is a type of Pulse Density Modulation (PDM), which means the output digital bit stream can be converted back to an analog value using a digital moving average filter.
