Parental Involvement In The Longitudinal Study
Introduction
Parental involvement is vital in creating an environment for the student to thrive and succeed in.
Parents are the primary caregivers and crucial assets in a child s academic life. The parent child
relationship is very important because children tend to view their parents as being the most important
role models in their lives. It is important to establish parent teacher collaboration because it allows the
parent and teacher to connect in the best interest of the child. Based on the Longitudinal studies which
focus on changes in behavior over time the findings of whether family involvement have a lasting
impact on children s academic achievements showed that the children in the study was more
motivated, and academically did well across all grades. The Longitudinal studies indicated that early
family has potential to influence children s academic achievement across grades. ( Coleman 2013, p.
52). The first parent teacher conference of the school year my daughter received 2 s in english and
math on her report card as well as 3 s in gym and music. When I sat down to talk to the teacher I was
not so happy about her grades on her report card, so I asked the teacher what can I do to help her. As a
parent you have to take a proactive measure in ensuring that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

An entire community based on parents, teachers and students is what builds up a strong net school
community and with support and togetherness it can break the barriers in parent teacher
communication. The school, parents, and teachers all play a big role in how our children will succeed.
It is important that the schools continue to provide resources for the family, progress on their children
academics and it is important that the families take a proactive measure and keep up to date with what
is going on in their children s

My Observation At Oakwood Methodist Preschool
I conducted my observation at Oakwood Methodist Preschool on May 9, 2016 at 9:30 in the morning
and 3:00 in the afternoon. The child I observed was a 16 month old female that I did have previously
relations too. I use to work at Oakwood Methodist as an Extended Care Teacher. I use to care for Baby
M in the infant room. During the observation there were two teachers, and 7 infants. The room that the
observation took place in had many toys such as: balls, bouncers, walkers, rattles, and soft plush
books. There was also a play mat where all the toys were, and two rocking chairs in the room. During
this observation I focused on 6 different developmental domains. In my paper I am going to discuss
perception, motor skills, cognitive ability, communication/language, social skills, and emotions.
Perception is how the infant incorporates his/her 5 senses into what they are exploring, and reacting
too. During my observation Baby M reacted to sights, sounds, and touching. According to the book
haptic perception is perception of the properties of an object using touch (Fogel, 2011. PG 152). Baby
M placed the balls and teethers directly in her mouth to get a better idea or perception of what the toy
was. Although she is at the age where she knew what each toy was she still explored it using her
mouth. Baby M also showed signs of auditory development by listening to what the caregiver was
saying to her and responding with positive emotions when told to do something.
The second domain

London Fog Annotated Bibliography
Annotated Bibliography Brimblecombe, P. (1981). Long term trends in London fog. The Science of
The Total Environment Online, 22(1), 19 29. doi:10.1016/0048 9697(81)90078 4 This article analyzes
the overall pattern of London fog mainly from 1700s to 1900s by collecting non instrumental data,
that was based on the observations of a group of observers. Four distinctive characteristics are
discussed. London fogs followed a periodic pattern throughout centuries, fogs are more frequent on
Sundays, the seasonal distribution of fog, and finally possible origins of the color of the fog are also
proposed. Brimblecombe was also able to deduct several possible causes of such phenomena, climate
change and change in urban meteorology specifically the increasing density of coal consumption. The
fact that fog observation cannot be used as an estimate of air pollution. By tracing the long term
pattern of London fog, a conclusion can be made, the Great Smog of London is not a spontaneous
event, however, fog observation cannot be used as an estimate of air pollution. This article provides
insightful and comprehensive information to the research topic, gives a better understanding of the

As the most common possible cause of the Great Smog as discussed in previous articles, it is the
release of sulfate oxides in coal burning process by industries, and leads to the formation of deadly

burning to minimize the air pollution by removing the harmful chemicals in coal, however, the
implantation of an industrial biodesulphurization technology still faces a lot of obstacles and

The Flaws of Social Networking
The media can be a world of great convenience, but it can also become a world of hurt feelings. Sure,
you could be alerted of an emergency within three minutes, but you could also find hurtful messages
on Ask.fm in three minutes. This doesn t only happen anonymously on Ask.fm, but on any social
networking site such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc. Social media is supposed to help people feel
better socially, so how can it make them feel worse? The problem of cyber bullying can only grow
worse when the targeted victim is obsessing over every little insult that is directed at them through
social media. Even though the media can be convenient and helpful, it can cause cyber bullying,
which can lead to depression but can be avoided by periodically disconnecting from social media. One
of the problems that is caused by social media is cyber bullying. Cyber bullying is bullying people by
misusing social media and usually leads to bullying in real life. This problem relates to me because I
have seen intense fights online and series of mild cyber bullying on Ask.fm and Facebook, creating an
uncomfortable atmosphere for anyone who can view those fights on their news feed. Social media
creates a natural habitat for cyber bullying to occur and makes it harder for the targeted victim to run
off due to new online technology. Furthermore, according to the article Cyber Bullying, Social Media,
and Parental Responsibility , a middle school girl named Rebecca Sedwick had been

Effects Of Monster In Night By Elie Wiesel
How do monsters affect people? Monsters can affect people in many different ways. Monsters can
come in many different shapes, sizes and thoughts. Some monsters can be other people, but some can
be the thought of something awful happening or losing faith. In the book Night by Elie Wiesel, him
and his family are being targeted by the Nazis because they are Jewish. They are taken to
concentration camps and split apart from each other. In the book Pure by Julianna Baggott, Pressia
seems to have little hope that she will survive through her 16th birthday and escape OSR. Later in the
book, Pressia gets captured by OSR, but during the capture she meets her half brother Partridge and
they make it out alive. Many modern atrocities and genocides can ... Show more content on

The German soldiers also known as Nazi, raided towns were the Jews were living and started
deporting them to concentration camps. They were crammed into cattle cars and separated from
family. Elie says, What s more, if I felt anger at that moment it was not directed at the Kapo but at my
father. Why couldn t he have avoided Idek s wrath? That was what life in concentration camp had
made of me... (54). Basically, Elie is mad at his father because he had to fight with Idek, knowing how
powerful he was. This proves the topic sentence because Elie s father feared what would happen if he
did not stand up for himself. Elie says, I woke from my apathy only when two men approached my
father. I threw myself on his body. He wa cold. I slapped him. I rubbed his hands, crying: Father!
Father! Wake up. They re going to throw you outside... (99). Thus, Elie feared what would happen if
he was left alone and his father was dead. It supports what is stated in my topic sentence because the
fear was being too weak to carry on and being killed by the Nazi soldiers. Elie overcame the monsters
because no matter how hard life got in the concentration camp he never stopped fighting. Elie was
very successful because he made it out alive, even when he had foot problems, he never let anything
hold him back. In the book Night, there is fear of what might happen, but in the end no one gave up
until they were too sick to carry

Great Depression Homes
When the Great Depression Hit Home for All Homes The 1930s are remembered as hard times for
many American families. With the crash of the stock market many families from all over suffered to
survive on very little. Farmers found it hard to grow crops and earn money from them. City families
struggled to live on nothing and were without jobs. Hobos were homeless people who traveled the
railroads illegally to find jobs. Farm families, city families, and hobos each had to find ways to live
and survive during The Great Depression. During The Great Depression, farmers worked hard to
produce crops and livestock. Prices began to drop quickly and the farmers struggled to produce even
more to pay their debts, taxes, and provide for their families. (Morain 1) Farmers grew their crops and
kept a garden to provide food. In many families, the children would stop attending to school to help
out on the farm. ( Life During the Great Depression 1) Most farming families had been renting their
land and machinery, so when the Depression hit they couldn t afford to pay for the equipment
anymore. Only one in ten families had electricity and running water. If they lived in the middle portion
of the country then they were being hit with the Dust Bowl. (Reinhardt and Ganzel 1) On top of not

people sold eggs and had to wear potato sack dresses to save every penny. People in the middle class
who had college degrees were even out of work. Banks all over the country were shut down which
caused people to lose jobs and others to lose money. Families who could not pay for their houses were
evicted. All of their belongings were thrown out to the street and they were forced out. Those who
lived in bigger houses in the cities took in boarders to help pay the

Neftalí Ricardo Reyes Basoalto, Famously Known As Pablo
Neftalí Ricardo Reyes Basoalto, famously known as Pablo Neruda, is a remarkable Chilean poet born
on July 12, 1904. He grew up in Temuco which is located in southern Chile. Neruda is the most
renowned poet of modern Latin American literature and one of the major poets of the twentieth
century. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 1971 (McDuffie). Numerous critics have
praised Neruda as the greatest poet writing in the Spanish language during his lifetime ( Pablo Neruda
). Pablo Neruda worked to show the social injustices happening in his country. In addition to this,
Neruda s poetry is difficult to understand because of his use of language, and although his works have
been translated to English, one will never thoroughly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore, Neruda wanted to show the people from his country how they should view themselves
and be content: He spoke to them of their mountains and trees, of their rivers and nocturnal flowers
(Garcia XI).It is obvious that their country is filled of beautiful features and they should to be proud.
Ultimately, in Neruda Chileans had someone who whom they could identify with above the distinctive
lives they all lived. It s easier to relate to someone who has been through similar things as you
specially coming from the same country because you are able to connect with them on a different
level. Between 1927 and 1935, the government put Pablo Neruda in charge of a number of honorary
consulships, which took him to Burma, Ceylon, Java, Singapore, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, and
Madrid ( Pablo Neruda Biographical ). During this time he began writing, Residencia en la Tierra,
which contain several poems. These poems seem unrealistic because they give a sense of fantasy. One
of them being CABALLO DE LOS SUEÑOS, this particular piece is about a unicorns and rainbows
and how he travels to a different dimension. One may lose themselves in this type of poetry because
we may want to be reminded of our childhood, a time where we believed things were real but in
actuality were part of our imagination. Neruda was a communist who wanted to represent his country,

Mission Statement Of A Company
Mission Statement:
The mission statement of a company is the first step in the strategic management framework
(Okumus). It is a statement that briefly describes the purpose for the existence of the company, in
other words, why the company was created. This statement is important to the success of an
organization because it is the foundation that organizational plans, strategies, and decisions are made
from. The mission statement of a company communicates to it stakeholders about a company s
products, services, targeted customers, geographic markets, philosophies, and values and plans for
future growth (strategic management insight). Below is the current mission statement of Coca Cola:

Over all the mission statement of Coca Cola does not explain to its stakeholders the reason for the
company s creation clearly enough to be the focus of the company. This could cause problems when
the company is formulating strategies, planning for the future, or making daily decisions that should
be guided by the purpose of the company. Since Coca Cola does not have its mission statement clearly
defined it could be seen as a threat on a SWOT analysis because this ultimately can affect the
company. Employees within the company may interrupt the mission statement differently and
therefore implement a plan of action that does not meet up with the purpose of the company resulting
in damage to the stakeholders.
Vision Statement/Goals:
Where the mission statement is there to clearly state the purpose of the creation of the business the
vision statement is created to state the ultimate goals of the company. This statement answers the
question what does our business what to become? and guides all employees within the organization
towards that ultimate goal. The vision statement for

taught me how to manage my time without procrastination. I always make a list of what needs to be
done and when it needs to be done by. I start with the most urgent matters and move on from there

this student teacher relationship I would make sure to use my best behavior and not act disrespectful in
any way. If I ever needed help I would make sure to ask them first, and if their method of trying to
teach me didn t work I would ask a different teacher after or before school without making a huge

Why Is The House Of Lords Effective
The House of Lords is certainly one of the most highly debated parts of the British government. It has
been critiqued and reformed many times over the course of hundreds of years, and has continued to
come under scrutiny in modern British politics as well. While some feel that the House of Lords is
ineffective and an unnecessary part of British government. Others view the House of Lords to be more
influential and relevant than it is often given credit for. Although both perspectives on this debate
create valid points as to why the House of Lords is, or is not beneficial to British politics. It is clear
that the House of Lords, despite being flawed and in need of reform, does serve an important and
unique role in Parliament that has a positive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However this is not always the case. One simple but very prevalent criticism of the House of Lords is
that it is simply not relevant or useful in modern British politics. This is perhaps one of the most easily
disputable arguments concerning the House of Lords. This argument against the House of Lords has
been present in British politics almost since its inception. Despite this the House of Lords has
continued to grow in numbers and change in its political power, and cultural influence. Much like the
role of the Monarchy, the House of Lords is largely symbolic in its purpose. Although it does have
some remaining political power, the House of Lords has been largely symbolic for hundreds of years
due to its lesser status, and the reforms that led to this status. The House of Lords may not be as
optically influential as the House of Commons. This enables the House of Lords to have much more
historical and cultural significance. A more specific example of the cultural significance of the House
of Lords is the continued inclusion of Spiritual Lords. Despite the fact that church attendance has
continued to decline, the Church of England remains an integral part of British history. The inclusion
of these Spiritual Lords of most certainly nearly entirely ceremonial, and continued for the sake of
tradition. Although some may consider this to be unnecessary, many

in the industry and know it fits the criteria for security. So I will get down to the name three major
information threats to the Card Service Industries. I got my three major information security threats
form PC World (Bradley, 2015). For the Payment Card Industry I have chosen Social Engineering,
Sophisticated DDoS Attacks, and The Insecurity of Things (Bradley, 2015). due to the access of the

Lieutenant Cross Chapter Summary
Even though the entire chapter is written in third person omniscient, the author characterized
Lieutenant Cross the most out of all the soldiers introduced, revealing his sentimental nature,
unrequited love for Martha, and later on, guilt for Lavender s death because of his fantasies. Unlike
other soldiers who packed their personal belongings with snacks, entertainment, or extra weapons
suitable for their occupations, Cross kept small remembrances of Martha, including her letter, photo,
and as given in this passage, a small pebble. The author used extensive detail as well as a smile to
signify the importance of this small item. For Cross, it symbolized the message: separate but together.

Criminal Justice System In 12 Angry Men
Many important topics and integral information that is an essential part in the criminal justice system
have been introduced in the play 12 Angry Men . Some examples of this would be crime and justice
including the laws, criminal behavior, victimization, and the criminal justice system in itself. These
issues are everyday situations but many people have been oblivious to the problem. The twelve jurors
have an assignment where they will have to decide whether or not the young man on trial is guilty of
murdering his father or is innocent beyond a reasonable doubt. All twelve men are frustrated and lack
patience which lead them to be contumacious and unfocused. Their distraction led to many key facts
getting misemployed and emotions start to cross making it hard for the jurors to construct a resolution.
They have been oblivious to the effect that it would have on the community itself. On the information
given up to this point this process essay will articulate the unenlightenment and egomaniacal
principles of the twelve men in the short story and movie Twelve Angry Men written by Reginald
Rose and directed by Sidney Lumet. Both Lumet and Rose showed their point of views of the criminal
justice system in the play and the movie. Although the director s view on the justice system
demonstrated the rights that everyone had, it also revealed his thoughts on how the justice system is
corrupt, ineffective and unjust because all these aspects have shown the major differences in the
morality of the twelve individuals and the problem at hand in the movie and play 12 Angry Men .
The movie 12 Angry Men denotes how the most seemingly trivial facts and evidence can affect the
aftermath in a brobdingnagian way if not processed thoroughly. In the movie you have twelve jurors,
all from different backgrounds and with different personalities. But one wise and optimistic juror
speaks his opinion, one that doesn t make a big difference in the beginning but opens the minds of the
other eleven jurors as time goes by. He expresses the facts and evidence that was discussed during the
young man s trial. He had said I want to try this thing. Let me see how long it took him. I m going to
pace off twelve feet... . (Rose 40) Juror number

King Daniel Research Paper
Daniel
The Babylonians had attacked Jerusalem and took many Jewish captives; one of them was Daniel. He
is known loyal to God and wise beyond his years. He interprets dreams and visions. His gifts are from
God of Israel, and he became a living testimony to God in a strange land. His symbolic visions about
the future of Israel, world kingdoms, and the kingdom of God exposes everyone to the long term plan
for the world. Daniel is not only known as Daniel the prophet; he is also known as one of the most
influential figures in the Book of Daniel who served the King and his successors in Babylon with

three important decisions every day. Daniel had to take part in a pagan education, put up with being

Reflection About Service
During the summer and the first quarter of my freshman year, I performed several hours of service
because service, to me, is important and brings me closer to God. During the summer, I volunteered at
my church s sport summer camp. There I watched over the children who were around the ages of five
to ten. Other counselors and myself, watched over the children while their parents were at work. I
helped the children play sports such as basketball and volleyball as well as even spent time with some
of the children making friendship bracelets. I spent a week volunteering at this camp because, for me,
doing service brings me closer to the life Jesus said we should live; it helps me to not think about
myself for once and to think about other people. Additionally, over the summer I also volunteered at
Sportime summer camp. There I did similar things which included playing sports and rely games with
the children as well as helping them with arts and crafts. I volunteered there because it was seven
hours a day when I would focus on the children and help them with whatever they needed. At both
Sportime and my church, the heads of the camps were grateful for my help because they were low on
volunteers and staff members. I agreed to help because I did not see a better way to spend my time. It
meant a lot for me to be able to be such a help to those people. In my second quarter, I volunteered at
OLMA s annual Christmas Tea Party. There, I helped set up the tables with hot water and sugar as well
as helped serve food and dessert. I made sure everyone s kettles were always filled with hot water and
that there was enough tea for everyone. Additionally, I helped clear the tables and throw away people s
garage during the event. After the event, I cleared all the tables from the dross and tablecloths, along
with the other volunteers. In addition, I helped to bring the cups and kettles that needed to be washed
back to the kitchen. The week before I knew that the people running the event were in need of some
student volunteers because they did not have many, so I was glad to volunteer. The people there were
happy to have my help and I was more than glad to offer it. I felt closer to God as I gave up my time

The Gilded Age will be remembered for the accomplishments of thousands of American thinkers,
inventors, entrepreneurs, writers, and promoters of social justice. The Gilded Age and the first years of
the twentieth century were a time of great social change and economic growth in the United States.
Roughly spanning the years between Reconstruction and the dawn of the new century, the Gilded Age
saw rapid industrialization, urbanization, the construction of great transcontinental railroads,
innovations in science and technology, and the rise of big business. Afterward, the first years of the

Mechanization and marketing were the keys to success in this age: companies that could mass produce
products and convince people to buy them accumulated enormous amounts of wealth, while
companies that could not were forced out of business by brutal competition. Railroads were the
linchpin in the new industrialized economy. The railroad industry enabled raw materials, finished
products, food, and people to travel cross country in a matter of days, as opposed to the months or
years that it took just prior to the Civil War. By the end of the war, the United States boasted some
35,000 miles of track, mostly in the industrialized North. By the turn of the century, that number had
jumped to almost 200,000 miles, linking the North, South, and West. With these railroads making
travel easier, millions of rural Americans flocked to the cities, and by 1900, nearly 40 percent of the
population lived in urban areas. By the twentieth century, the rise of big business and the large
migration of Americans from the countryside to the cities caused a shift in political awareness, as
elected officials saw the need to address the growing economic and social problems that developed
along with the urban boom. Progressives believed that the government needed to take a strong,

Genetic Disease And Its Effects On The Body
Introduction Genetic diseases are being discovered more often as we learn the affects that genes have
on the body. McArdle s disease is a metabolic disease that affects skeletal muscle because of a gene
mutation. The genetic mutation prevents the creation of the enzyme myophosphorylase. This enzyme
is responsible for the breakdown of glycogen in muscles (Haldeman Englert, 2014). McArdle s
disease is also known as Type V Glycogen Storage Disorder. It affects approximately one out of every
100,000 people ( McArdlesDisease.org, n.d.). Glycogen is broken down into glucose, which is used to
produce adenosine triphosphate for muscle energy. Patients can live relatively normal lives with this
disease once proper care and education has been provided (Kitaoka, 2014).
Genetic Nature McArdle s disease is seen as muscle dysfunction caused by a mutation in the gene that
codes for the enzyme myophosphorylase. The myophosphorylase gene, PYGM, is located at
chromosome 11q13 (Kitaoka, 2014). There have been over 100 mutations of the gene detected. In
North American Caucasians, the mutation commonly found is the p.R50X (Kitaoka, 2014). In
Japanese patients, it is found to be the p.F709del/F710de mutation (Kitaoka, 2014). Researchers have
seen a correlation between ethnicity and the type of mutation of that they carry. All the mutations
cause a lack of the myophosphorylase enzyme in the muscle tissue. It is found to be an autosomal
recessive inheritance trait. Those who are heterozygotes

The Economy s Growing and the Standard of Living in the...
During the 20th century economy has changed and international trade has been developped. It allowed
to increase our standard of living. Therefore we need to understand why countries have opened their
boarder and what the impact is. To do that we need to understantd what the trade bring to us in
defining the comparative advantage. After that one important point is to understand which effect the
technological change has on trade. Then the main point that it s whether trade is benefical for
everyone or leads to dangerous competitveness and why this behaviour can happen like protectionims
and which are the consequences.
First of all we need to define what the comparative advantage is. One obvious concept is that country s

equilibrium that increases your satisfaction. Hence this rearrangement of the world ressources induces
to a raise of the production and induces to a raise in the standard of living.
Firstly as Thurow (Clyde, V. and Prestowitz, C. (1994)) said, the meaning of ressources has changed.
In the traditional theory we have seen that the natural resource endowments and the factor proportions
determine in which good the country should specialise. Now he explains that it s not because Japan
has no coal and no iron ore that it can be the leader of steel industry. Therefore we see that the
technology has had a very important effect on the traditional theory. The natural ressources have been
pushed out by the technology. Now we have to take into account that a country does not depend on its
traditional ressources but more its ability to adapt.

Explain How To Repair Your Own Faucet
Repairing your own faucet may seem intimidating, but once you learn the fundamentals, today s
faucets are not that hard to fix. In fact, usually the most difficult step is finding the correct replacement
parts. The necessary tools will vary a bit depending on the type of faucet you re repairing. An Allen
wrench will probably be needed to remove the handle. With a small set of small Allen wrenches, you
ll be ready for any faucet. Most repairs also require large slip joint pliers and screwdrivers.
For all faucet repairs, make sure to examine the faucet closely, before you begin, to determine the
source of the leak. Leaks originating from near the base of the spout will require a different repair than
a leak from the end.
Next, turn off the water supply to the faucet. The shutoff valves are probably located under the sink. If
the valves don t work or if you don t have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You could record each step with a digital camera or video camera so you don t forget. Set the parts
aside in the order you removed them, to make putting it back together easier on yourself. When you ve
got all the parts out, check the interior of the valve for loose bits and mineral deposits. Use a cloth or a
pad to clean the surface. Soaking mineral deposits in vinegar will loosen them right up.
Slow water flow? That can be caused by plugged holes in the faucet body. A small screwdriver or
penknife can be used to clean them out. Before you replace worn parts and put the faucet back
together, hold a rag over the faucet and open the water shutoff valve slightly to flush out debris that
may have accumulated during the cleaning.
Once the faucet is reassembled, open the faucet and slowly open the shutoff valves to turn on the
water. Keep the faucet open until water is flowing freely and the air is out of the pipes. If the water
flow is slow through the faucet, the aerator may be plugged. Unscrew the aerator and clean it

Malala Yousafzai Speech
In Mingora, Pakistan, Malala Yousafzai was born on July 12, 1997. In her first few years of life, her
hometown was a popular tourist spot that was known for its summer festivals. Unfortunately, the
Taliban, an extreme terrorist group, began to change the area by trying to take control. Malala gave an
inspirational speech in Peshawar, Pakistan after the Taliban attacked girls schools in Swat, Pakistan.
The title of that speech was called How dare the Taliban take away my basic right to education?
Malala spoke about her belief in her and every girl s right to education. She gave that talk in
September 2008. In January of 2009, Malala started a blog about living under the Taliban s threats and

recovery from the shooting. Malala gave a speech at the United Nations in 2013, on her 16th birthday.
In October 2013, Malala s autobiography I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and
Was Shot by the Taliban was released. However, the Taliban still had not given up and still considered
the young activist a target. Malala remains a strong advocate for the power of education despite the
continued threats by the Taliban. The European Parliament showed recognition for Malala by
awarding her the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought. She was also nominated for a Nobel Peace
Prize the same year, but fell short of winning it. Malala was a nominee again in 2014. In October
2014, Malala, along with Indian children s rights activist Kailash Satyarthi, received the Nobel Peace

interest There s a lot of that can be said about a post divorce conversation over Twitter, especially
when the couple are two celebrities and they are speaking publicly for the first time. Miranda Lambert
and Blake Shelton divorced in 2015 and for a while there was no public chatter between the former
country stars. Then on July 20, the couple broke their silence with a very quick Twitter conversation

moved on with their lives. Then they took to Twitter after a bit of time passed and they shared a
humorous moment that showed just how well a formerly split couple can act towards each other if
they make an honest attempt. What Blake and Miranda remind us is that they got married for a reason,
likely their chemistry and their shared interests, of which Ashley Monroe was one. Just because they
ended their marriage it doesn t mean those shared interests simply disappear. Even months after their
first public tweets Miranda Lambert was still talking with the utmost respect for her ex husband. Many

Many IT departments face the dilemma whether to purchase into a bespoke solution, commercial of

The chosen option should be one which meets the business and system requirements, as well as;

It is imperative to consider the architectural desires for a project. Identifying the industry standards
and requirements will help determine if a solution is worth developing within the company or
outsourcing either through bespoke design or off shelf, this is to reduce the cost of operation and
maintenance. Some architectural factors that may restrict the solution could be, the security strategy,
technology communications, existing systems which will interact with the new solution, the structure

When designing and deciding the desires of this app , because this is a new capability for the

The COTS solution is the least likely to be aligned out of all three solutions, this is due to the fact that
it has been designed with general based on basic common functionality and so it will unable to be

African American Religion
African American Religion Joe Turner s Come and Gone Misty Ricard
Before Africans were brought to America during the slave trade, they had their own culture and
society. They had their own language and dance. They also had their own religion. History tells us that
the Europeans justified their abuse toward the Africans as helping them become more civilized
because the Africans lifestyle appeared primal to them and not as developed and industrialized as
theirs. What is often overlooked is that even though Africans were taken from Africa and
Americanized and have been stripped of their religion, culture, language and even their name, the very
essence of the African as a people did not go away. Some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

This is a sensible move which recognises the culturally and socially differences between different
countries of the EU. However, given the fact that directives take a lot longer to implement as they

by different member states (What are EU directives?, Copyright 2015 FindLaw, a Thomson Reuters

Impact Of The French And Indian War
4) What was the impact of the Seven Years War (i.e., French and Indian War)? on the emergence of
American nationalism?
Almost 50 years of contention amongst Britain and France over North America was resolved in the
French and Indian War. At the point when the war started, there were more than around 2 million
British colonists already in America and around 65,000 French in Canada. The French focused to
secure the land against outside traders, and so they created a chain of posts along Pennsylvania s
Allegheny River. The British requested colonist governors to stop the French progress, by force if
essential. Congress affirmed the arrangement of managing Native American trade, and so on, however
the colonies declined to confirm it. In 1758, the British, with colonial powers helping, seized
Louisbourg, a French fort guarding the St. Lawrence River. In 1759, British powers traveled up the St.
Louis River, laid attack on the city of Québec for three months, and vanquished French powers in
September. The following year, Montreal additionally surrendered to the British, finishing the war in
America. The war arrived at an official end in 1763, with the marking of the Treaty of Paris. The
bargain gave Britain all French land in Canada aside from two small islands south of Newfoundland.
Essentially, triumphant Britain kept Canada as opposed to the vanquished slave colonies of
Guadeloupe and Martinique, which returned back to France.
The Seven Year War was a colossal defining

Sports Marketing and Mobile Technology Essay
Sports marketing has made its way directly to the fans. In the past, only the extremely devoted fans
would check on their teams online but now, the norm has changed. Now the devoted fans learn new
information before anyone else, and even get rewarded for it. In the article The Passion of the Fan , by
Stewart Feil, fans are being rewarded for posting about their favorite teams on social media. The
reason this is possible is because mobile apps have greatly contributed to the way fans follow their
teams. In Sports marketing and technology with the New England Patriots , by Michael Krigsman, it
reveals that fans have the capabilities of sending their favorite teams their input about the team. The

websites, fan sites, online sports news sources, sports related Twitter feeds and other Internet and
social media outlets are now second only to TV as a primary and trusted source of information for
sports fans. People are now relying on social media to find their information, and they are even
spreading the news when they find out. Teams have started to capitalize on this acquired information.
Feil goes into detail to show how the Detroit Pistons have managed it, A gamified app called
SocialToaster that lets registered fans earn points for each item they repost to their social media feeds;
those with the most points receive game tickets, team merchandise and other incentives. Teams are
capitalizing on this opportunity to spread the word about themselves using prizes as incentives for
devoted fans. By using this method, they hope to expand to new, untapped, resources of fans and bring
their current fan base even closer. It is truly a genius idea, the

Character Analysis Of Moana
For this hero analysis, I chose to study Moana, the protagonist of the Disney film, Moana. The story
follows two storylines, Moana s, which is about her transition from childhood to adulthood, and Maui
s which follows his comeback from his ruined hero position. Moana is the daughter of the chief of
Motunui. From the start, Moana is taught to be a proper leader of her tribe and is made to follow her
father s footsteps. Although she loves her village and her people, she craves to be by the sea and go
beyond the reef. Moana embodies many of characteristics of a romantic hero, is that she is human but
is able to communicate and partially control the ocean, she is helped by Maui and his demigod
powers, and Te Fiti with her Goddess powers. Moana also has a trait of a tragic hero, in that her flaw
is how she doesn t know her true identity.
At a young age, Moana was chosen by the ocean who gave her the Heart of Te Fiti. As Moana is only
two years old and drops the stone and the heart is slowly forgotten. A few years later is when Moana
receives her call from the ocean. Her call to adventure is to travel beyond the reef, which is forbidden
in her village. Moana s father pushes that she needs nothing outside of her village and that the island is
her home. However, she still feels the pull from her call to adventure beyond her reef. Moana s
grandmother, on the other hand, pushes Moana s rebellion against the reef rules and shows her a
hidden cave full of boats and canoes from

  • 2. Parental Involvement In The Longitudinal Study Introduction Parental involvement is vital in creating an environment for the student to thrive and succeed in. Parents are the primary caregivers and crucial assets in a child s academic life. The parent child relationship is very important because children tend to view their parents as being the most important role models in their lives. It is important to establish parent teacher collaboration because it allows the parent and teacher to connect in the best interest of the child. Based on the Longitudinal studies which focus on changes in behavior over time the findings of whether family involvement have a lasting impact on children s academic achievements showed that the children in the study was more motivated, and academically did well across all grades. The Longitudinal studies indicated that early family has potential to influence children s academic achievement across grades. ( Coleman 2013, p. 52). The first parent teacher conference of the school year my daughter received 2 s in english and math on her report card as well as 3 s in gym and music. When I sat down to talk to the teacher I was not so happy about her grades on her report card, so I asked the teacher what can I do to help her. • 3. My Observation At Oakwood Methodist Preschool I conducted my observation at Oakwood Methodist Preschool on May 9, 2016 at 9:30 in the morning and 3:00 in the afternoon. The child I observed was a 16 month old female that I did have previously relations too. I use to work at Oakwood Methodist as an Extended Care Teacher. I use to care for Baby M in the infant room. During the observation there were two teachers, and 7 infants. The room that the observation took place in had many toys such as: balls, bouncers, walkers, rattles, and soft plush books. There was also a play mat where all the toys were, and two rocking chairs in the room. During this observation I focused on 6 different developmental domains. In my paper I am going to discuss perception, motor skills, cognitive ability, communication/language, social skills, and emotions. Perception is how the infant incorporates his/her 5 senses into what they are exploring, and reacting too. During my observation Baby M reacted to sights, sounds, and touching. According to the book haptic perception is perception of the properties of an object using touch (Fogel, 2011. PG 152). Baby M placed the balls and teethers directly in her mouth to get a better idea or perception of what the toy was. Although she is at the age where she knew what each toy was she still explored it using her mouth. Baby M also showed signs of auditory development by listening to what the caregiver was saying to her and responding with positive emotions when told to do something. The second domain ... • 4. London Fog Annotated Bibliography Annotated Bibliography Brimblecombe, P. (1981). Long term trends in London fog. The Science of The Total Environment Online, 22(1), 19 29. doi:10.1016/0048 9697(81)90078 4 This article analyzes the overall pattern of London fog mainly from 1700s to 1900s by collecting non instrumental data, that was based on the observations of a group of observers. Four distinctive characteristics are discussed. London fogs followed a periodic pattern throughout centuries, fogs are more frequent on Sundays, the seasonal distribution of fog, and finally possible origins of the color of the fog are also proposed. Brimblecombe was also able to deduct several possible causes of such phenomena, climate change and change in urban meteorology specifically the increasing density of coal consumption. The fact that fog observation cannot be used as an estimate of air pollution. By tracing the long term pattern of London fog, a conclusion can be made, the Great Smog of London is not a spontaneous event, however, fog observation cannot be used as an estimate of air pollution. This article provides insightful and comprehensive information to the research topic, gives a better understanding of the meteorological, economic, and political situation at the time of the incident, helps to facilitate ... • 5. The Flaws of Social Networking The media can be a world of great convenience, but it can also become a world of hurt feelings. Sure, you could be alerted of an emergency within three minutes, but you could also find hurtful messages on Ask.fm in three minutes. This doesn t only happen anonymously on Ask.fm, but on any social networking site such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc. Social media is supposed to help people feel better socially, so how can it make them feel worse? The problem of cyber bullying can only grow worse when the targeted victim is obsessing over every little insult that is directed at them through social media. Even though the media can be convenient and helpful, it can cause cyber bullying, which can lead to depression but can be avoided by periodically disconnecting from social media. One of the problems that is caused by social media is cyber bullying. Cyber bullying is bullying people by misusing social media and usually leads to bullying in real life. This problem relates to me because I have seen intense fights online and series of mild cyber bullying on Ask.fm and Facebook, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere for anyone who can view those fights on their news feed. Social media creates a natural habitat for cyber bullying to occur and makes it harder for the targeted victim to run off due to new online technology. Furthermore, according to the article Cyber Bullying, Social Media, and Parental Responsibility , a middle school girl named Rebecca Sedwick had been ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Effects Of Monster In Night By Elie Wiesel How do monsters affect people? Monsters can affect people in many different ways. Monsters can come in many different shapes, sizes and thoughts. Some monsters can be other people, but some can be the thought of something awful happening or losing faith. In the book Night by Elie Wiesel, him and his family are being targeted by the Nazis because they are Jewish. They are taken to concentration camps and split apart from each other. In the book Pure by Julianna Baggott, Pressia seems to have little hope that she will survive through her 16th birthday and escape OSR. Later in the book, Pressia gets captured by OSR, but during the capture she meets her half brother Partridge and they make it out alive. Many modern atrocities and genocides can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The German soldiers also known as Nazi, raided towns were the Jews were living and started deporting them to concentration camps. They were crammed into cattle cars and separated from family. Elie says, What s more, if I felt anger at that moment it was not directed at the Kapo but at my father. Why couldn t he have avoided Idek s wrath? That was what life in concentration camp had made of me... (54). Basically, Elie is mad at his father because he had to fight with Idek, knowing how powerful he was. This proves the topic sentence because Elie s father feared what would happen if he did not stand up for himself. Elie says, I woke from my apathy only when two men approached my father. I threw myself on his body. He wa cold. I slapped him. I rubbed his hands, crying: Father! Father! Wake up. They re going to throw you outside... (99). Thus, Elie feared what would happen if he was left alone and his father was dead. It supports what is stated in my topic sentence because the fear was being too weak to carry on and being killed by the Nazi soldiers. Elie overcame the monsters because no matter how hard life got in the concentration camp he never stopped fighting. Elie was very successful because he made it out alive, even when he had foot problems, he never let anything hold him back. In the book Night, there is fear of what might happen, but in the end no one gave up until they were too sick to carry ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Great Depression Homes When the Great Depression Hit Home for All Homes The 1930s are remembered as hard times for many American families. With the crash of the stock market many families from all over suffered to survive on very little. Farmers found it hard to grow crops and earn money from them. City families struggled to live on nothing and were without jobs. Hobos were homeless people who traveled the railroads illegally to find jobs. Farm families, city families, and hobos each had to find ways to live and survive during The Great Depression. During The Great Depression, farmers worked hard to produce crops and livestock. Prices began to drop quickly and the farmers struggled to produce even more to pay their debts, taxes, and provide for their families. (Morain 1) Farmers grew their crops and kept a garden to provide food. In many families, the children would stop attending to school to help out on the farm. ( Life During the Great Depression 1) Most farming families had been renting their land and machinery, so when the Depression hit they couldn t afford to pay for the equipment anymore. He grew up in Temuco which is located in southern Chile. Neruda is the most renowned poet of modern Latin American literature and one of the major poets of the twentieth century. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 1971 (McDuffie). Numerous critics have praised Neruda as the greatest poet writing in the Spanish language during his lifetime ( Pablo Neruda ). Furthermore, Neruda wanted to show the people from his country how they should view themselves and be content: He spoke to them of their mountains and trees, of their rivers and nocturnal flowers (Garcia XI).It is obvious that their country is filled of beautiful features and they should to be proud. Ultimately, in Neruda Chileans had someone who whom they could identify with above the distinctive lives they all lived. It s easier to relate to someone who has been through similar things as you specially coming from the same country because you are able to connect with them on a different level. Between 1927 and 1935, the government put Pablo Neruda in charge of a number of honorary consulships, which took him to Burma, Ceylon, Java, Singapore, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, and Madrid ( Pablo Neruda Biographical ). During this time he began writing, Residencia en la Tierra, which contain several poems. These poems seem unrealistic because they give a sense of fantasy. One of them being CABALLO DE LOS SUEÑOS, this particular piece is about a unicorns and rainbows and how he travels to a different dimension. It is a statement that briefly describes the purpose for the existence of the company, in other words, why the company was created. This statement is important to the success of an organization because it is the foundation that organizational plans, strategies, and decisions are made from. The mission statement of a company communicates to it stakeholders about a company s products, services, targeted customers, geographic markets, philosophies, and values and plans for future growth (strategic management insight). Over all the mission statement of Coca Cola does not explain to its stakeholders the reason for the company s creation clearly enough to be the focus of the company. This could cause problems when the company is formulating strategies, planning for the future, or making daily decisions that should be guided by the purpose of the company. Since Coca Cola does not have its mission statement clearly defined it could be seen as a threat on a SWOT analysis because this ultimately can affect the company. Employees within the company may interrupt the mission statement differently and therefore implement a plan of action that does not meet up with the purpose of the company resulting in damage to the stakeholders. Vision Statement/Goals: Where the mission statement is there to clearly state the purpose of the creation of the business the vision statement is created to state the ultimate goals of the company. My work ethic is one of my stronger points due to my time management skills. Being busy most of the time between play, musical, school softball, summer softball, choirs, and school work has taught me how to manage my time without procrastination. I always make a list of what needs to be done and when it needs to be done by. I start with the most urgent matters and move on from there getting to the least urgent matters last. I believe that they would have still seen me as a hard working and dedicated student. It has been critiqued and reformed many times over the course of hundreds of years, and has continued to come under scrutiny in modern British politics as well. While some feel that the House of Lords is ineffective and an unnecessary part of British government. Others view the House of Lords to be more influential and relevant than it is often given credit for. However this is not always the case. One simple but very prevalent criticism of the House of Lords is that it is simply not relevant or useful in modern British politics. This is perhaps one of the most easily disputable arguments concerning the House of Lords. This argument against the House of Lords has been present in British politics almost since its inception. Despite this the House of Lords has continued to grow in numbers and change in its political power, and cultural influence. Much like the role of the Monarchy, the House of Lords is largely symbolic in its purpose. Although it does have some remaining political power, the House of Lords has been largely symbolic for hundreds of years due to its lesser status, and the reforms that led to this status. The House of Lords may not be as optically influential as the House of Commons. This enables the House of Lords to have much more historical and cultural significance. A more specific example of the cultural significance of the House of Lords is the continued inclusion of Spiritual Lords. Despite the fact that church attendance has continued to decline, the Church of England remains an integral part of British history. The inclusion of these Spiritual Lords of most certainly nearly entirely ceremonial, and continued for the sake of tradition. Although some may consider this to be unnecessary, many ... Lieutenant Cross Chapter Summary Even though the entire chapter is written in third person omniscient, the author characterized Lieutenant Cross the most out of all the soldiers introduced, revealing his sentimental nature, unrequited love for Martha, and later on, guilt for Lavender s death because of his fantasies. Unlike other soldiers who packed their personal belongings with snacks, entertainment, or extra weapons suitable for their occupations, Cross kept small remembrances of Martha, including her letter, photo, and as given in this passage, a small pebble. • 14. Criminal Justice System In 12 Angry Men Many important topics and integral information that is an essential part in the criminal justice system have been introduced in the play 12 Angry Men . Some examples of this would be crime and justice including the laws, criminal behavior, victimization, and the criminal justice system in itself. These issues are everyday situations but many people have been oblivious to the problem. The twelve jurors have an assignment where they will have to decide whether or not the young man on trial is guilty of murdering his father or is innocent beyond a reasonable doubt. All twelve men are frustrated and lack patience which lead them to be contumacious and unfocused. Their distraction led to many key facts getting misemployed and emotions start to cross making it hard for the jurors to construct a resolution. They have been oblivious to the effect that it would have on the community itself. On the information given up to this point this process essay will articulate the unenlightenment and egomaniacal principles of the twelve men in the short story and movie Twelve Angry Men written by Reginald Rose and directed by Sidney Lumet. Both Lumet and Rose showed their point of views of the criminal justice system in the play and the movie. Although the director s view on the justice system demonstrated the rights that everyone had, it also revealed his thoughts on how the justice system is corrupt, ineffective and unjust because all these aspects have shown the major differences in the morality of the twelve individuals and the problem at hand in the movie and play 12 Angry Men . The movie 12 Angry Men denotes how the most seemingly trivial facts and evidence can affect the aftermath in a brobdingnagian way if not processed thoroughly. In the movie you have twelve jurors, all from different backgrounds and with different personalities. But one wise and optimistic juror speaks his opinion, one that doesn t make a big difference in the beginning but opens the minds of the other eleven jurors as time goes by. He expresses the facts and evidence that was discussed during the young man s trial. He had said I want to try this thing. Let me see how long it took him. I m going to pace off twelve feet... . • 16. Reflection About Service During the summer and the first quarter of my freshman year, I performed several hours of service because service, to me, is important and brings me closer to God. During the summer, I volunteered at my church s sport summer camp. There I watched over the children who were around the ages of five to ten. Other counselors and myself, watched over the children while their parents were at work. I helped the children play sports such as basketball and volleyball as well as even spent time with some of the children making friendship bracelets. I spent a week volunteering at this camp because, for me, doing service brings me closer to the life Jesus said we should live; it helps me to not think about myself for once and to think about other people. Additionally, over the summer I also volunteered at Sportime summer camp. There I did similar things which included playing sports and rely games with the children as well as helping them with arts and crafts. I volunteered there because it was seven hours a day when I would focus on the children and help them with whatever they needed. At both Sportime and my church, the heads of the camps were grateful for my help because they were low on volunteers and staff members. I agreed to help because I did not see a better way to spend my time. It meant a lot for me to be able to be such a help to those people. In my second quarter, I volunteered at OLMA s annual Christmas Tea Party. There, I helped set up the tables with hot water and sugar as well as helped serve food and dessert. I made sure everyone s kettles were always filled with hot water and that there was enough tea for everyone. Additionally, I helped clear the tables and throw away people s garage during the event. After the event, I cleared all the tables from the dross and tablecloths, along with the other volunteers. In addition, I helped to bring the cups and kettles that needed to be washed back to the kitchen. The week before I knew that the people running the event were in need of some student volunteers because they did not have many, so I was glad to volunteer. Roughly spanning the years between Reconstruction and the dawn of the new century, the Gilded Age saw rapid industrialization, urbanization, the construction of great transcontinental railroads, innovations in science and technology, and the rise of big business. Mechanization and marketing were the keys to success in this age: companies that could mass produce products and convince people to buy them accumulated enormous amounts of wealth, while companies that could not were forced out of business by brutal competition. Railroads were the linchpin in the new industrialized economy. The railroad industry enabled raw materials, finished products, food, and people to travel cross country in a matter of days, as opposed to the months or years that it took just prior to the Civil War. By the end of the war, the United States boasted some 35,000 miles of track, mostly in the industrialized North. By the turn of the century, that number had jumped to almost 200,000 miles, linking the North, South, and West. With these railroads making travel easier, millions of rural Americans flocked to the cities, and by 1900, nearly 40 percent of the population lived in urban areas. By the twentieth century, the rise of big business and the large migration of Americans from the countryside to the cities caused a shift in political awareness, as elected officials saw the need to address the growing economic and social problems that developed along with the urban boom. • 18. Genetic Disease And Its Effects On The Body Introduction Genetic diseases are being discovered more often as we learn the affects that genes have on the body. McArdle s disease is a metabolic disease that affects skeletal muscle because of a gene mutation. The genetic mutation prevents the creation of the enzyme myophosphorylase. This enzyme is responsible for the breakdown of glycogen in muscles (Haldeman Englert, 2014). McArdle s disease is also known as Type V Glycogen Storage Disorder. It affects approximately one out of every 100,000 people ( McArdlesDisease.org, n.d.). Glycogen is broken down into glucose, which is used to produce adenosine triphosphate for muscle energy. Patients can live relatively normal lives with this disease once proper care and education has been provided (Kitaoka, 2014). Genetic Nature McArdle s disease is seen as muscle dysfunction caused by a mutation in the gene that codes for the enzyme myophosphorylase. The myophosphorylase gene, PYGM, is located at chromosome 11q13 (Kitaoka, 2014). There have been over 100 mutations of the gene detected. In North American Caucasians, the mutation commonly found is the p.R50X (Kitaoka, 2014). In Japanese patients, it is found to be the p.F709del/F710de mutation (Kitaoka, 2014). Researchers have seen a correlation between ethnicity and the type of mutation of that they carry. All the mutations cause a lack of the myophosphorylase enzyme in the muscle tissue. It is found to be an autosomal recessive inheritance trait. Those who are heterozygotes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

So firstly you see that you produce both of goods and then you decide to specialize and produce more of good 2. After that you can export and import the difference. That leads to a better consumption equilibrium that increases your satisfaction. Hence this rearrangement of the world ressources induces to a raise of the production and induces to a raise in the standard of living. Firstly as Thurow (Clyde, V. and Prestowitz, C. In the traditional theory we have seen that the natural resource endowments and the factor proportions determine in which good the country should specialise. Now he explains that it s not because Japan has no coal and no iron ore that it can be the leader of steel industry. Almost 50 years of contention amongst Britain and France over North America was resolved in the French and Indian War. At the point when the war started, there were more than around 2 million British colonists already in America and around 65,000 French in Canada. The French focused to secure the land against outside traders, and so they created a chain of posts along Pennsylvania s Allegheny River. The British requested colonist governors to stop the French progress, by force if essential. Congress affirmed the arrangement of managing Native American trade, and so on, however the colonies declined to confirm it. In 1758, the British, with colonial powers helping, seized Louisbourg, a French fort guarding the St. Lawrence River. In 1759, British powers traveled up the St. Louis River, laid attack on the city of Québec for three months, and vanquished French powers in September. The following year, Montreal additionally surrendered to the British, finishing the war in America. The war arrived at an official end in 1763, with the marking of the Treaty of Paris. The bargain gave Britain all French land in Canada aside from two small islands south of Newfoundland. • 33. Character Analysis Of Moana For this hero analysis, I chose to study Moana, the protagonist of the Disney film, Moana. The story follows two storylines, Moana s, which is about her transition from childhood to adulthood, and Maui s which follows his comeback from his ruined hero position. Moana is the daughter of the chief of Motunui. From the start, Moana is taught to be a proper leader of her tribe and is made to follow her father s footsteps. Although she loves her village and her people, she craves to be by the sea and go beyond the reef. Moana embodies many of characteristics of a romantic hero, is that she is human but is able to communicate and partially control the ocean, she is helped by Maui and his demigod powers, and Te Fiti with her Goddess powers. Moana also has a trait of a tragic hero, in that her flaw is how she doesn t know her true identity. At a young age, Moana was chosen by the ocean who gave her the Heart of Te Fiti. As Moana is only two years old and drops the stone and the heart is slowly forgotten. A few years later is when Moana receives her call from the ocean. Her call to adventure is to travel beyond the reef, which is forbidden in her village. Moana s father pushes that she needs nothing outside of her village and that the island is her home. However, she still feels the pull from her call to adventure beyond her reef. Moana s grandmother, on the other hand, pushes Moana s rebellion against the reef rules and shows her a hidden cave full of boats and canoes from ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
