The cultural means relating to the ideas, customs, and social behavior of a society. Therefore, when
doing world mission we must be able to relate to the culture in which we are ministering to. We are
not to forget who we are as far as culturally, but we are to have the knowledge of that particular
culture. For example, in Chapter 3 in our textbook, it speaks of Patrick, an English slave who escaped
from Ireland and later returned as a missionary. Being that he understood the people and their
language, their issues, and their ways , served as a channel for the people to easily receive from him.
