- 2. Process Firstly, I searched up some fishing magazine covers and this was fairly easy to do, there were many magazine covers I could use as inspiration and so I was lucky, I found one fishing magazine named ‘Adventure Fishing’ and it was nice and easy to copy, I first got a picture of someone holding a ‘Golden Dorado’ Fish and this wasn’t really challenging as there are a bunch of them, once I had this I needed the title and so I found a good font which fit the original magazine and placed it above on a green rectangle, using the shape tool I coloured it green using the colour tool also as the original magazine cover does, then I used some yellow bars to border the green and this really worked well, this wasn’t in the original magazine but I thought it was a nice addition, next I added some information on the magazine cover, I did this as it looked nice and teased the information that was inside the magazine so people would want to read further and I added the bottom bar with the barcode and price on it, I did this to give the magazine a professional and real feeling and I believe it did the job well.

Reflection • What elements of your experiments will you include in your final product? – I will include the big bold title at the top, and the rectangles behind the title and the bars which border the rectangle, I feel like this gives a very professional feel to the magazine cover as a whole and so it is needed if I am to make something that could look real, I will include the information on the front page as this is also key for a successful magazine, without this people won’t even know what’s in the magazine and so they won’t want to read on further and buy the magazine, I will have a big picture on the front of the magazine which stands out and catches peoples eyes.
