2. Process
• Before i set out to make experiments for this subject i decided to dive into a
wide variety of magazine brands and hopefully find one that i could put my
own twist on and experiment with
• As National Geographic was initial one of my first ideas for my print project i
instead chose it for the inspiration for my experiment

3. Process
Firstly i started production on the cover of my magazine, creating an A4 paper
document on Photoshop and then making the iconic yellow border of national
geographic from placing a rectangle under the cover image i found online,
i then imported png file of the national geographic logo to make it more authentic

4. Process
After continuously working on the cover for the magazine i decided to also begin designing
the double-page spread layout and how it should be view as if it were a
real product one could find in shops, although i did use the stock text known as
Lorem Ipsum to make it easier to spread out text across the page and see the best positions
of paragraphs.
For extra help i added an extremely thin rectangle to act as the spine of the magazine.

5. Process
Finally, polishing off the cover with some text is to catch potential readers attention thus
make them want to buy it, raise awareness of problems within our natural world or even
spread news and facts of fascinating wildlife and human achievements. all
tied together with a price and issue number at the top.
Whereas for the double page spread i went for a simplistic take of a news article,
even though the words are in gibberish its not hard to tell from the title and the beautiful
landscape picture, what is being said in those paragraphs.

6. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product? My biggest wish is for
my magazine to look aesthetically pleasing like my
experiments, because i personally think the cover is what
holds a magazine together; it shows every aspect of its
contents the first time you glance at it
• As well as aesthetically pleasant i hope my article that i
will write will be informative and help my magazine look
professional in that respect
