9. Photosynthesys and Respiration
• Photosynthesys : Plants take their own food
using water, mineral salt, carbon dioxide and
sunlight.
• Respiration: Plants take in oxygen and release
carbon dioxide.
10. Photosynthesis
1. Roots absorb water and mineral salts (raw sap).
2. Raw sap travels to the leaves through xylem vessels.
3. Stomata take in carbon dioxide, and chlorophyll take
sunlight (elaborated sap)
4. Elaborated sap travels to all parts of the plant
through phloem vessels.
