Explain The Humanistic Approach In Health And Social Care
The humanistic approach is a person centred approach which depends on trust between the patient and
care giver. It is useful because it is non intrusive and it gives people a choice to change their life. It is
also used in lots of situations, this shows it is used often. However, it ignores people s behaviour and
is short term so this can affect the care given as the carer won t keep an eye on the behaviour which is
very important to observe when providing care. The behavioural approach only involves looking at
behaviour which is being observed. It is easy to understand and is a natural approach so you can t
really tell how someone actually feels because they might do something else. It also doesn t rely on
communication a skill which makes it easier for the health carer and patient if they are not able to
communicate well. However, this approach doesn t involve looking at what is occurring inside
someone s head which makes it a little restricted. It can also only be used to ... Show more content on

This is an approach which is easy to understand and has no hidden meaning. However, this is a logical
approach so it s not quite suitable for those who don t think logically. Also, only one problem is
worked on at a time which means it may take a long time to sort out a large amount of problems. The
psychoanalytical approach is an approach which is based on what the patient says and does which is
effective as it can change many parts of peoples lives and not just the behaviour. This can also be used
for a wide range of problems which makes it even more useful and time consistent. However, for this
approach to be used specialist training is needed otherwise the health carer won t understand the
whole concept of using this approach. It is also quite complicated to use which may make it difficult
for the health carer to apply it to one of their

Huguenot Wars
The French Wars of Religion, or Huguenot Wars of the 16th century, are names for a period of civil
infighting, military operations and religious war primarily fought between Roman Catholics and
Huguenots(Reformed Protestantism, a.k.a. Calvinist Protestants) in the Kingdom of France. a French
Protestant of the 16th 17th centuries. Largely Calvinist, the Huguenots suffered severe persecution at
the hands of the Catholic majority, and many thousands emigrated from France. Unlike all other
religious wars at the time, the French wars retained their religious character without being confounded
by dynastic considerations. The conflict involved disputes between the aristocratic houses of France,
mainly the Reformed House of Condé (a branch of the House

Pmh Model Essay
According to the analysis of variance SPH model study (Table 4.), it was understood that the model
was significant since its P value is 0.1, which indicated the independent variables did not have an
effect on the dependent variable. The values for AB, AC, and BC were 0.5, 0.2, and 0.4, respectively,
showed little or no effect on glucan yield. The coefficient of determination (R2) of the model was
0.91, which indicated that the model could represent the real relationships among the selected reaction
variables. Based on the ANOVA study of SPHP and the Model F value of 49.87, the developed model
was significant. There was only a 0.01% chance that a Model F Value this large could happen due to
noise. The Lack of Fit F value of 0.69 meant ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The interaction of persulfate content and time of reaction showed that high concentration of persulfate
and longer residence time caused better sugar yield, however, over 130 min no notable change
occurred in the system. It suggests that 130 min is enough for completion of reaction.
In SPH system, first plot on the left showed the interaction of persulfate and heat amount, it was
obvious that any increment was beneficial to the better sugar yield. At 80 °C, the glucose yield
increased from 10% to 18%, while the persulfate concentration increased from 0.6 M to 1.1 M for 60
min. The same pattern was observed for the interaction of persulfate content with time and
temperature with time. It suggests increasing the time of reaction will increase the potential of SPH
system for wheat straw pretreatment. The FTIR spectra of control and radical pretreated samples (in
each method two FTIR spectra were analyzed for the runs with highest and lowest sugar yield) are
revealed in Fig. 5 7. For the pretreated samples, several FTIR bands characteristic to lignin decreased
in intensity and some others related to side chain groups increased in intensity. The peaks at 3390 cm

seniors live off campus and they are allowed to stay off campus. They even have a list of housing
options off campus on their website ( wiu , 2017). Western also has really good transportation that
goes to different stops all around Macomb to make it easy to not have a car, which if you wanted one
you would have to pay for a parking ticket, for a residence hall parking ticket is $56.00 ( wiu , 2017).
We also know that everyone loves food and wants at least a decent place to eat your meals every
single day for four years. Western has a system for their students that they can put money from

rocky dollars. The meal plans are basic cost is $1875 per semester ( wiu , 2017). Food can also be
easily delivered on campus from different areas around Macomb. Which is pretty convenient if you do
not feel like leaving your dorm one day, or want to switch it up. From personal experience they had a
wide variety of foods to choose from, from nachos to burgers, to salads, dessert, simple snacks, and
different varieties of beverages. It also had a little convenient store to buy

“The War On Drugs Is A Big Fucking Lie”. In Recent History,
The war on drugs is a big fucking lie In recent history, there has been much rhetoric surrounding the
eradication of cross border drug trafficking. The war on drugs was introduced in the 1970s by Nixon,
who wanted to eliminate the drugs coming into the United States, since they were seen by him as a
threat to our nation. Many laws have been enacted with the purpose keeping illicit drugs out of the
United States, yet they do so through the use of nativist ideology, which upholds white supremacy by
perpetuating the belief that those associated with Mexico are inherently criminals and must be kept out
of the United States. Latin America is looked at as a corrupt place, teeming with drugs and criminals,
that is tainting the wonderful and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Robert Garcia moved to Laredo before drug trafficking was rampant, and joined the Laredo PD. He
worked with drug enforcement, and enjoyed the local impact (13). He ended up working with the
DEA for six years, travelling the country in order to fight the war on drugs. Ultimately, he decided to
return to Laredo, and worked in the homicide department. Through these two narratives, Slater
explores the complexities of the war on drugs and how, ultimately, drug enforcement at the border
does little to curb the crossing of drugs over the border. Throughout history, the United States has
continuously perpetuated a system based on racism through its drug eradication policies. In 1973,
Richard Nixon created the DEA, by consolidating several drug control agencies into one, and
prohibited opium, which at the time came mostly from Turkey. (73 74). Nixon brought about the war
on drugs, which focused on eradicating illegal drugs from entering the United States, and essentially
incited nativist attitudes to do so. There is a tendency in the United States to idealize everything
American and discount everything Mexican, which becomes increasingly relevant as Mexico is
associated with drugs and crime (21). The Harrison Narcotics Tax act was created after cocaine and
marijuana became popular as pain relievers for civil War veterans. This [created] a lucrative black

Single Camera Conventions
A single camera production is the use one single camera to film all of the diverse shots. An advantage
of single camera production is the flexibility with shots due to other cameras not being in the frame
and also the low budget. On the other hand, single camera production comes with disadvantages such
as being time consuming and difficult to consistently reposition; furthermore if the camera is damaged
all work may be lost. Within this essay, I will be discussing the elements in which make up a single
camera production along with indicating an understanding of the codes and conventions that relate to
this area of media.

Country As A Developing Country
Honestly, one would think that in todays modern world every country should be developed. However,
few realize that there are still many developing countries. Mostly due to ignorance, and the majority
doesn t pay attention to the needs of developing countries. For instance, the only time a person may
think of a developing country is when the see the commercials on television, and believes that this
must be the only issues facing developing countries. Normally, people visualize those commercials
asking for money to feed, or asking for help of some type of medical expenses. Take the United States
as an example, and often this country would release funds to foreign aid before their own citizens.
Which could easily cause tension amongst the government and the American people. According to,
SAE there are about 137 developing countries, and countries that earns on average 11,905 or less are a
developing country. There are many different choices when comes to picking a developing country.
However, the country of Sierra Leone will be the country up for discussion. Sierra Leone is one
example of what the World Bank considers to be a developing country, and it is in West Africa. As
well as, the capital, Freetown, was founded as a home for reported former slaves. Currently, Sierra
Leone has a population of about 6.1 million citizens, and on average the life span expectancy is 48
years old male, and 49 years old female. However, this country s most brutal civil war ended in 2002,

Effects Of Nonverbal Behavior On Power Perceptions Of Male...
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to build on Auginis and Henle (2001) and Auginis, Simonsen and
Pierce (1998) by examining the effects of nonverbal behavior on power perceptions of male and
female employees in managerial positons. This study will use a 2 (Gender: male vs. female) x 3
(Nonverbal behavior: eye contact vs. facial expression vs. body posture) x 2 (Repeated measures: pre
test vs. post test) design. Employees in the retail industry will fill out a questionnaire prior to the study
pertaining to their general perceptions of male and female employees in managerial positons. The
questionnaire will be followed by two video tape recordings, showing a male and female manager
engaging in all three types of nonverbal behaviors. After watching each video, the participants will be
asked to evaluate their perceptions of the manager s power bases (reward, coercive, legitimate,
referent, and credibility) by filling out a questionnaire. It is predicted that male employees will be
perceived as having more power than female employees for all power bases. Effects of Nonverbal
Behavior on Power Perceptions:
Male and Female Employees in Managerial Positions Body language is a form of nonverbal
communication that allows individuals to communicate their personal feelings, emotions, attitudes and
thoughts through body movements. (Rane, 2010, p.17) The interpretation of body language differs

Summary Of Death And The Maiden By Ariel Dorfman
Death and the Maiden tells the story of a woman who was raped and tortured by the doctor during the
violent dictatorship. In Death and the Maiden , Ariel Dorfman portrays the idea that you must seek
justice for your struggles. Paulina, Gerardo and Roberto show that through context of the story that
you must act upon any issues that happened in the past. Paulina being tortured 15 years ago still made
her try to bring justice to the situation by tying Roberto to a chair and holding her own trial. She
suspects that Roberto is the torturer and demands or threatens him for a confession and apology.

convince that the doctor to follow the Paulina s demands and confess to the crimes of which he asserts
to be guiltless. Acknowledging that Paulina is Crazy is the part of Gerardo s idea to procure Roberto s
trust so that he will accept the confession. It seems like Gerardo wants to save Roberto s life so, that
his position in the government won t be in trouble. Finally, the doctor agrees to make the confession
which shows that it will be beneficial for both Roberto s and Gerardo s life. Furthermore, although
Roberto confesses, Paulina is still not pleased. She believes that the doctor is not truly rue of Roberto s
actions. Paulina notices the small lies from the doctor, she inserted in her story to Gerardo and
Roberto corrected most of them. Paulina threatens to the doctor that if he doesn t tell the actual truth,
she will kill him. But sill doctor claims that he an innocent. And why does it always have to be people

Contributions Of John Locke
John Locke was born in a small town in England and later became a student at Oxford University
(Connolly, n.d.). At first, Locke had a passion with medicine and spent a lot of his time creating
medicine recipes. In the later years while still at Oxford University, Locke found a passion for natural
philosophy, writing, and politics. According to readings from chapter two, after finding a career in
politics, Locke developed a friendship with the earl of Shaftesbury, Anthony Ashley Cooper, whose
governmental influence declined in 1681 (Schultz Schultz, 2016). Locke was forced to relocate to
Holland for a while after Cooper was involved in a plot against King Charles II. After returning to
England Locke began to write books in religion, economics, and education (Schultz Schultz, 2016). It
wouldn t be long before he became one of the most famous influencers. Locke s interests shifted to the
religious freedom and rights of the citizens to govern themselves. His beliefs and his writings quickly
increased his fame level and before long he was known throughout most of Europe as a champion of
liberalism in government (Schultz Schultz, 2016). While all of Locke s work is relevant, a piece done
in 1690 was of most importance to the field of psychology. One of Locke s most popular pieces was
An Essay Concerning Human Understanding, which most referred to as the Essay. Because it
contained over 20 years of study, the Essay was divided among four books each with the same overall

What Are The Causes Of The Battle Of Isandlwana
After the British arrived at the Cape, their influence and power spread to all areas of southern Africa.
This colonisation was met with conflict and resistance, involving many indigenous groups, and led to
tense skirmishes with the Zulu Nation. This struggle between the Zulus and the English led to the
Battle of Isandlwana, one of the most famous British defeats in history. The causes involved demands
for labour and land, however there was an ulterior motive as to why Zululand was invaded.
Regarding Anglo Zulu relations, the British felt that the Zulu Nation posed a great military threat
against the White Natal Colony and the Transvaal. The British sought to set up a Federation of White
colonies and states in South Africa in 1879 , however they felt vulnerable due to the fear caused by the
very near Zulu menace (Source D). This specific fear of the Zulu nation was dominant because at the
time Cetshwayo had transformed the Zulus into a stronger and mightier power, and therefore was
more of a threat towards the British. This fear of the Zulus potentially overthrowing the white
government spread to other regions of South Africa, where the settlers hoped that the white
government would stay in power. So the British felt it necessary to cause conflict with the Zulus in
1879 over the control of Zululand, and to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

High Speed And Wide Bandwidth Of Technology
CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
1.1 Introduction
Analog to digital converters (ADCs) is a mixed signal processing device that converts analog signals
which are real world signals to digital signals for processing the information. With the advancement of
technology, digital signal processing has progressed prominently in recent years. The aim of design is
low power, high speed and wide bandwidth analog to digital converter has increased tremendously.
Therefore the focus of this thesis is to design low power Flash ADC that operates at high speed.
Integration at very large scale a new architectures, and advances in integrated circuit (IC) technology
have dramatically changed the design of these systems and created new areas of research and
development. By the evolution of technology the transistor size is reduces and the response of
transistor is being faster. The evalution of design is deals with a high speed (above 250MHz) but has
low resolution (2 to 8 bits) as with small die area which is called System on a chip (SoC). In this trend
a large number of transistor is integrated on a single chip, it is a challenge for a developer who designs
an analog circuit for high speed applications these are analog to digital and digital to analog converters
(ADCs and DACs) that also maintains other desirable attributes like low power consumption and
small chip area.
The main objective for the consideration a designed ADCs for the complete SoC are high speed and
low power consumption. For a Low

Powerful as it is popular, Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel has been inspiring strength in
women for nearly three decades. A politician, novelist, screenwriter and a teacher, Esquivel has lived a
full life of experiences. Her first book and most popular, Like Water for Chocolate followed the life of

The only one who resisted, the only one who said the word without the proper deference was Tita,
which had earned her plenty of slaps. But how perfectly she had said it this time! Mama Elena took
comfort in the hope that she had finally managed to subdue her youngest daughter. (Esquivel 13) This
passage gives the reader an initial insight on the central conflict in the novel, Tita s fight for freedom
from Mama Elena s suppression. Mama Elena is portrayed to have characteristics which resemble to
that of the stereotypically domineering, abusive male figure. Tita must tread waters very carefully
when she is anywhere near Mama Elena, otherwise she would be beaten for any reason. Yet as the
novel progresses, Tita undergoes a change due to exposure and desire. With the introduction of Pedro
(Tita s lover who ends up marrying Tita s sister), Tita experiences new emotions, desire and lust.
Previous to meeting Pedro, Tita never felt the desire to defy Mama Elena, yet her new found love lust
for Pedro gave her a reason to rebel. The introduction of the emotion of desire, a need sparked the
flame of change in Tita. This concept of women in oppression finding something to strive for, even at
a risk, gives women courage. As the age, old saying goes if they can do it so can I . By creating a
relatable scenario, Esquivel hopes to show women that even if the task seems too great to overcome,

Halloween Structuralism
Choosing just one style to explain any these videos would be difficult. Each showcases a well crafted
blend of multiple criticism styles. This would make sense, as most people do not examine media with
a one track mind, but instead from multiple points of view based o their own tastes.
Siskel and Ebert s mini review of the film Halloween featured elements of the Structuralism,
Feminism, Archetypal, and Reader Response forms of critique. Starting off with the easy one, Reader
Response, or Viewer Response in this case, is apparent throughout the video (DavidVonPeinChannel2)
(Mays 1320). Siskel and Ebert describe how the tension and setting shape the atmosphere of the film,
and in textbook Reader Response fashion, they complement John Carpenter s film for its use of
camera angle and music, and the affect that plays on the viewer (DavidVonPeinChannel2)(. An
unexpected, but still true addition, was that of Feminist perspective. Siskel and Ebert point out how

Structuralism stands dominant in this video as the narrator is quick to point how the film s story,
editing, and characters are all very similar to past Disney and Pixar films (Screenjunkies, Honest

in the story (Screenjunkies, Honest Trailers Frozen). First, by mentioning how the female leads are
very empowered in a Feministic way (Screenjunkies, Honest Trailers Frozen) (Mays 1323 24).
Second, they move on highlighting the role males play in the story, and the near sexist representation
of it. The narrator describes the males being in the stereotypical villain role to the female leads
(Screenjunkies, Honest Trailers Frozen). That would be a key illustration of using Gender Study to
assess the role that characters fill in the film (Mays

Rudolf Laban Theory
Rudolf Laban is a movement theorist, a choreographer and a dancer, who is also considered a pioneer
of modern dance. Through constructed theories and knowledge, Rudolf Laban has influenced the
culture of movement drastically, developing and shaping techniques which are still used today. In the
beginning, Laban movement was primarily used for dancers and dance choreography to discover new
ways to move. In the 80s and 90s, it had begun being used to help actors and to improve
performances.
Rudolf Laban was first recognised for his dedication to supporting the movement of expressionist
dance (also known as Ausdruckstanz), which had a big effect on the culture of movement as it
changed the artistic stagnation of classical ballet and the maturity within the future of art. This
movement arose in the 1900 s and was a protest against classical ballet which was perceived as tightly
held and mechanical in fixed and conventional forms. This changed movement to become free and
natural, allowing more flow and openness to arise. Rudolf Laban was considered a significant figure
within this movement as he influenced the younger youth, teaching at a creative art school called
Monte Verita situated in Switzerland. Laban became a key figure based off of his metaphysical ideas
regarding his exploration of time and space within movement which further developed later in his
career. Without Laban s teaching skills and inspiring the next generations, classical ballet wouldn t

A Research Study On An Academic Research Essay
1.0 Introduction
An academic research involves a comprehensive investigation of theories, principles and decisions
criteria among other study materials with an aim of identifying facts and drawing conclusions.
Ultimately, there are lots of benefits associated with research in learning as well as in solving real life
problems. For instance, it allows for knowledge building through evaluation of existing theories
(Webb, 2007). In this case, the researcher is exposed to research work conducted earlier and the
methodologies that were applied in various cases. As such, research improves knowledge of the
participants. Additionally, research is important in sieving the lies and identifying the facts in a certain
frontier of knowledge. Consequently, this is important in improving theories and making them more
applicable to routine and strategic tasks at both personal and organisational levels. Furthermore,
research is a lifetime opportunity to young scholars that are interested in pursuing research work as
full time careers. In particular, it provides knowledge and background principles that will be used in
future analysis. It is important to note that there are research objectives; as such, it ensures that certain
goals are met at the end of the activity.
Therefore, this paper will entail research on the Perfect Competition Theory to determine its validity
and reliability in market analysis. Firstly, the paper will outline the objectives of the research and
provide methodologies

genetically modified using recombinant DNA technology. The aim for GM plants/crops is to express a
gene or a trait that is not found in the species of the plant. The scientist that modify the plants insert a
foreign gene into the plant s original DNA. As a result to the modification, the plant receives
characteristics within the genetic code. Most, GM plants become resistant to pesticides, however there
are other variables within transgenic crops. Since the genes of humans, plants, and bacteria are all
created from the same genetic material; scientist have a variety of genes to choose from, when
modifying. Within plants, genetic modification occurs in steps . There are five major steps in the
development of a genetically engineered crop. But for every step, it is very important to know the
biochemical and physiological mechanisms of action, regulation of gene expression, and safety of the
gene and the gene product to be utilized 1. The first step is mapping; Mapping is locating and isolating
the desired gene before extraction. Once the gene is extracted, it must be cloned. Many copies are
made of the isolated Gene; gene cloning isolates the gene from the entire extracted DNA. Once it is
cloned, the gene of interest is designed and packaged so that it can be controlled and properly
expressed inside the host plant. Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is the cloning process, and it

Introduction
Alcoholism and Drug Addiction may be conceptualized as crime without victim that is, addict himself
is the victim who becomes a prey of its misuse. This devastating melody is eroding the roots of social,
economic and cultural fiber of Indian Society and all across the globe. It gives rise to criminality and
criminal behavior which eventually leads to social disorganization.

The cumulative toxic effects of chronic alcohol abuse can cause both medical and psychiatric
problems.
Identifying alcoholism is difficult because of the social stigma associated with the disease that causes
people with alcoholism to avoid diagnosis and treatment for fear of shame or social consequences. A
common method for diagnosing alcoholism is evaluating responses to a group of standardized
questions. These can be used to identify harmful drinking patterns, including alcoholism. In general,
problem drinking is considered alcoholism when the person continues to drink when they want to stop
because of social or health problems caused by drinking.
Treatment of alcoholism takes several steps. Because of the medical problems that can be caused by
withdrawal, alcohol detoxification is carefully controlled and may involve medications such as
benzodiazepines such as diazepam (Valium). People with alcoholism also sometimes have other
addictions, including addictions to benzodiazepines, which may complicate this step. After
detoxification, other support such as group therapy or self help groups are used to help the person
remain sober.
Thombs (1999) states according to behavioural sciences alcoholism is described as a maladaptive
behaviour . He explains this must not be confused with misbehaviour . Behavioural scientists explain
that addicts have a behaviour pattern, which may lead to destructive consequences for themselves,
their families and

Mitchell v. Lovington Good Samaritan Center, Inc., 555 P.2d 696 (1976).
Facts: The appellee was terminated from the Lovington Good Samaritan Center, Inc. on June 4, 1974.
On June 12, 1974 Mrs. Mitchell applied for unemployment compensation benefits. She was initially
disqualified from seven weeks of benefits by a deputy of the Unemployment Security Commission.
Mrs. Mitchell then filed an appeal, and the Appeal Tribunal reversed the deputy s decision. Mrs.
Mitchell s benefits were reinstated on August 28, 1974. On September 13, 1974 the Center appealed
the decision made by the Appeal tribunal to the whole Commission. The Commission overruled the
Appeal Tribunal and reinstated the seven week disqualification period. Mrs. Mitchell then ... Show

At issue is whether the misconduct which warranted the termination rose to the level of misconduct
which would warrant the denial of unemployment compensation. Rodman recognizes the last straw
doctrine, but contends that the district court erred in applying the rule in this case because her
infractions on February 15 were the result of third parties over whom she had no control. Rodman
contends that she may not be denied unemployment benefits where the last straw which led to her
termination was not willful or intentional, especially where, under the employer s policy, she could not
have been discharged at all prior to this final incident.
Issue: If substantial evidence existed that Rodman s conduct on February 15, considered in light of the
totality of circumstances including her previous history of personal phone calls and unauthorized
visitors, showed a willful or wanton disregard for her employee s interests, then Rodman s benefits
were properly denied.
Rule: We believe that termination for a series of incidents which, taken together, may constitute
misconduct is distinguishable from termination for a single incident following one or more corrective
action notices. In the latter event, as here, we hold that the last straw must demonstrate a willful or
wanton disregard for the employer s interests for unemployment benefits to be denied.

Public transportation provides numerous positive attributes to the community at large. It enhances
personal opportunities by providing personal mobility and freedom, gives people transportation
options to get to work, go to school, visit friends, or go to a doctor s office, provides access to job
opportunities. It saves fuel and reduces congestion, provides economic opportunities and drives
community growth and revitalization. Statistically, every $1 invested in public transportation
generates approximately $4 in economic returns, every $10 million in capital investment in public
transportation yields $30 million in increased business sales, every $10 million in operating
investment yields $32 million in increased business sales, and from 2006 2011, residential property
values performed 42 percent better on average if they were located near public transportation with
high frequency service. Public transportation saves money and reduces gasoline consumption.
According to APTA s transit saving report, a two person household can save, on the average, more
than $10,174 a year by downsizing to one car. Public transportation use in the United States saves 4.2
billion gallons of gasoline annually and households near public transit drive an average of 4,400 fewer
miles than households with no access to public transit. Public transportation also reduces the carbon

s type of ownership is franchise. Subway was founded in the year 1965 in state of Connecticut in the
United States of America by Fred DeLuca who 17 years old at the time and was looking to pay his
college fees by opening a sandwich shop. DeLuca s restaurant has since expanded and is, today, one of
the largest restaurant franchises in the world. DeLuca started by getting a loan of $1000 from a close
friend who encouraged him to open his own restaurant. In 1965, he started his first restaurant but the
result was underwhelming. Instead of closing his business down, he went on and opened a second
restaurant. Yet again, the result was underwhelming. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Performance Management Initiatives For The Public Sector...
CHAPTER ONE
1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of the study
Countries around the world have embarked on public organisational reforms to improve their
performance and improve service delivery. The key reform in state corporations has been the
introduction of performance management systems but only few countries have successfully
implemented the same and got positive results Performance management initiatives were put in place
to tackle issues and concerns that organisations have on performance (Sharif, 2002).
Majority of countries are seeking to develop a culture in the public sector that is more performance
oriented , one that gives much focus to efficiency, effectiveness, quality Customer care, an increased
focus on results as well as more decentralised management (Petrie,2002). In the last two decades
performance management in the public sector has shifted its focus to putting in place systems for
measuring outputs and rewarding results (Heinrich, 2003).
Performance Management initiatives are used to enhance employee s productivity through managing
their performance (Poister, 2003).Performance management initiatives are very important in the public
sector of many developing countries where the productivity has been low and the workforces continue
to work under vague job specifications and muddled lines of accountability. In many public sector
organisations individual and organisational performance are seldom measured and staff are paid low
salaries that do not relate

Diagnosing Intellectual Disabilities
Society likes to establish names and categories for everything, whether it is race, gender, social status
or in this case intelligence, there are multiple ways to classify and identify people. Distinguishing
terms are often used to help make identification easier. Idiot, mentally deficient, and retard are
common terms that were previously used in association with mental retardation (Parmenter, 2011).
However, society has replaced the term mental retardation with intellectual disability to distinguish
people who express a restriction in their intelligence. In order to gain a better perspective of
intellectual disabilities specifically focusing on children it is necessary to understand the terminology,

Children are normally dependent on their caregivers, but having an intellectual disability increases the
child s dependency. Caregivers have to adapt and learn to overcome the daily obstacles encountered
when raising a child with an intellectual disability. The complexity of raising a child with disabilities
has been analyzed in several studies. One study in particular focused on the process mothers
experienced while raising their disabled child. 11 mothers of disabled children were interviewed
during the study to collect data. The results suggested that mothers gradually embraced their child s
disability. It was determined there are three distinct points in the journey of raising a child with
disabilities. The first point was identified as the beginning and initial impact of the diagnosis,
secondly, making sense of the circumstances and lastly embracing each other and growing together
(Lee Recchia 2015) . Based on the perspective of the mother s in the study experience with disability
was not viewed as something to overcome at one specific time but as continuous challenges to deal

Michelangelo s Work Of The Italian Renaissance
Michelangelo Buonarotti Simone
Michelangelo was born in Caprese, region of Florence Italy on March 6, 1475, was born to a family
that had for several generations belonged to minor nobility in Florence but had, by the time the artist
was born, lost its patrimony and status. His father was an official with a well off position in the city
and his mother died when he was 6 years old.
Son of the Florentine arts, this magnificent sculptor, painter and architect, of the Italian Renaissance
manifested his artistic talent since very early on, being the art of the sculpture where he begins to
emerge.

Between 1490 and 1492, Michelangelo made his first drawings, studies on the Gothic frescoes of
Massacio and Giotto and the first reliefs, the Virgin della Scala and the Battle of the Centaurs, in
which there is already a clear definition of his style. In them it is shown as the clear heir of Florentine
art of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, while establishing a more direct link with classical art.
Nowadays this works are preserved in the Buonaroti house in Florence. After the death of Lorenzo de
Medici in 1492, Michelangelo flees Florence, staying for a time in Bologna, where he sculpts various
works influenced by the work of Jacobo della Quercia. In 1494, he carved three saints for the church
of San Domenico, the statuettes of San Petronio (the patron saint of Bologna), a candlestick holding
angel San Procolo (closely recalling the statue of David, made ten years later). They show dense
forms, in contrast to the linear forms which were then dominant in sculpture.
In 1496 Michelangelo decides to go to Rome, a city that saw him succeed, where he carved he s first
surviving large statue The Bacchus which preceded his masterpiece, the Pieta in which Mary supports
the dead Christ across her knees. Larger than life size, the Pietà contains elements which contrast and
reinforce each other: vertical and horizontal, cloth and skin, alive and dead, female and male.
This was a special work of art even in the Renaissance because at the time,

The Origin Of Nonverbal Communication
Whether you realize it or not, almost all of what you say doesn t come out of your mouth. In 1967, the
Journal of Consulting Psychology published a study conducted by two researchers, UCLA professor
Albert Mehrabian and Susan R. Ferris, that concluded that 93% of communication is considered
nonverbal. Nonverbal communication can be anything from tone of voice, body language, and
anything that doesn t come out of your mouth basically. Nonverbal communication varies across
cultures and sexes and is an essential part of our world. Knowing the facts about how we
communicate and the way we react to communication is important to increase trust, clarity, and add
interest to your presentation and appearance. Learning how to become sensitive to body language and
nonverbal cues will help you become better at portraying your intention.
Origins
The origin of nonverbal communication in our world is not quite easy to point out. On
http://www.study body language.com they point out two main reasons as to why this is. One is the
belief that body language evolved over time to help fill human social needs such as finding food,
needing shelter, or gathering together. Another is that there are so many different categories of
nonverbal communication. They can be divided up like traits that are universal and we are born with
or traits that we learn to use through our age and knowledge. We do have roots of the types of
communication we use such as our culture, personal habits, education and

The Relationship Between Faith And Reason In Pope John...
Pope John Paul II found it important enough to talk about the relationship between faith and reason in
his encyclical Fides et Ratio. An encyclical is a letter that is sent to all of the bishops of the Roman
Catholic Church and addresses a problem, or important topic that the pope believes needs to be
discussed. In Fides et Ratio, Pope John Paul II really emphasizes the importance of the relationship
between faith and reason and how it has to do with the trust and faith put in God. This encyclical
written in 1998 was meant for all of the members of the Catholic Church to understand and begin
thinking about the big questions that define their faith, as well as to once again be able to reason with
their faith. If there was never a questioning of faith, there would be no reason for the followers of the
Catholic Church to continue to follow a man that we accept as our Lord. Faith and reason go hand in
hand just like identity and relevance. Without one, you cannot have the other and still achieve full
meaning. It is possible to have only faith and just live a life based on faith alone. It is also possible to
only reason through everything. However, when dealing with religion, Pope John Paul II makes it a
point to show the followers if Christ that they need to have an equal balance of both faith and reason
in order to attempt to comprehend who Jesus Christ the Son of God was, who in fact God is, and have
the knowledge to grow and understand the Roman Catholic beliefs. According to

The Implications Of Monetizing Children
Implications of Monetizing Children
Introduction
Children are fond of playing games on their mobile devices and will go to great lengths to ensure that
they remain entertained. These games are readily available on the Internet, and most children have
found convenience in purchasing or subscribing especially through in app purchasing. While a
majority of adult games require a one time subscription or purchase, children games have been
monetized and most children remain hooked to the games they play, which ends up costing more. On a
number of occasions, children have found themselves in trouble with their parents because of use of
their credit cards to purchase games on the Internet. Additionally, the incorporation of in games ads
poses another challenge because young kids are becoming more exposed to gaming content and are
lured into purchasing games or subscribing through the available options. This paper takes a look at
the ethical issues surrounding monetizing of children as well as highlights some of the psychological
issues related to kids games.
Ethical and psychological issues in monetizing children In the recent years after the advancement of
Internet gaming a widespread use of mobile devices such as the Smartphone and tablets, more
children have gained access to a wide array of games in App Store that facilitate entertainment for
children. However, this has come with its challenges and most parents are having a hard time

This is not to say that database design is not important. Good database design is vitally important for
stewardship of biodiversity information. In the context of limited resources, good design includes a
careful focus on what information is most important, allowing programming and database
administration to best support that information. Database Life Cycle As natural history collections
data have been captured from paper sources (such as century old handwritten ledgers) and have
accumulated in electronic databases, the natural history museum community has observed that
electronic data need much more upkeep than paper records (e.g. National Research Council, 2002 p.62
63). Every few years we find that we need to move our electronic data to some new database system.
These migrations are
usually driven by changes imposed upon us by the rapidly changing landscape of operating systems
and software. Maintaining a long obsolete computer running a long unsupported operating system as
the only means we have to work with data that reside in a long unsupported database program with a
custom front end written in a language that nobody writes code for anymore is not a desirable
situation. Rewriting an entire collections database system from scratch every few years is also not a
desirable situation. The computer science folks who think about databases have developed a
conceptual approach to avoiding getting stuck in such unpleasant situations the database life cycle

Should Same Sex Couples Be Allowed To Adopt
Should Same Sex Couples Be Allowed to Adopt With the battle of same sex marriage still continuing,
it has yet aroused another subject similar to the matter: should same sex couple be allowed to adopt.
Throughout the 21th century, this topic has been controversially debated whether or not same sex
couples adopting is a negative or beneficial right. With this being said, homosexual couples should be
allowed to adopt because kids with homosexual parents are more open minded, shown the same love
by parents and show love to others, however children are believed to face social stigmatization. Kids
may have the advantage of open mindedness, tolerance and role models for equitable relationships
when having homosexual parents. One instance show when children are raised by homosexual parents
are believed they will be more tolerant when reaching older stages in their life to the LGBT
community. For example a child is raised by a gay couple, which later the child when older will be
more accepting of those around them and open minded to homosexual couples since they were raised
by a homosexual couple. Following this, children will be taught not to judge people off of their
lifestyle, but to judge off of their personality. Therefore, children who are raised by homosexual
parents generally have better social skills, and peer relationships which result in a stronger buffer
against stigma or discrimination. However, in some instances children face indirect consequences such

The Legality Of Abortion In The United States

Abortion has long been a topic of strong debate and gray areas. There are many laws put into place
stipulating aspects of the legality of abortion. It is often assumed that those of the younger generation
identify as pro choice, meaning they agree with the legality of abortion. On the other end of the
spectrum, it is speculated that older adults lean more toward being pro life, meaning they do not agree
with the legality of abortion. I predict that older adults (40 years of age and older) will identify as pro
life more than younger adults (18 25). I will analyze previous research that has been done, as well as

biomedical model of health which operates on observable and empirical approaches; these approaches

both from a historical and contemporary view. Case studies provide a grasp of what it means to view

Cultural variations reflect the different ways a society functions and perceive social issues and
complex concerns; these variations express a groups unique perspective of the world which tend to
influence and shape the individual worldview and behavior of a people belonging to any specific
culture/group. Robert Redfield simply defined world view as that outlook upon the universe that is
characteristic of a people (Hallowell, 1960). The significance of this quote highlights the idea that
individuals belonging to any specific group hold similar or distinctive perceptions of the world unique
to them. Perceptions and/or worldviews are fundamental thoughts and ideas that influence how one

Human Performance And Commercial Aircraft Accidents
Human error has been acknowledged as a main contributor to more than 70 percent of commercial and
private aircraft accidents. While characteristically connected with flight procedures, human error has
also recently become a main concern in maintenance practices and air traffic management. Human

interface between human performance and commercial aircraft to help operators develop safety and
efficiency in their daily operations.
About 80 percent of maintenance errors comprise of human factors, according to the Federal Aviation

Human factors are endless catchphrases in maintenance operations. Although human factors

Great Expectations Vs Great Expectations
It is not challenging for the story of Great Expectations to survive as it had been presented in Charles
Dickens book and faithful film adaptations. In the 1800s, Britain was undoubtedly the most powerful
and great nation in the world. In this society of wealth and power, a gentleman was one that possessed

people had in those days, and favoured a gentleman of great humility and respect for others.
The Victorian idea of a gentleman during these times is based on birth, apparel, social status and
wealth. On the other hand, Dickens portrays a gentleman as someone of generosity, humility, and
kindness. The early life and the upbringing of Dickens allowed him to understand the perspective of
those of low social standing and the effect of their poor upbringing keeping them in the lower social
class. Dickens Great Expectations portrays a very class mobile society in which fortunes can be made
and lost equally suddenly, while by contrast Dickens portrayed the extraordinarily varied ways in
small differences of dress, accent, and action by which people present themselves and act out their
class identities and aspirations.
Someone who came from a respectable and wealthy family in Victorians times was described to be a
gentleman. This is evident in various characters in the book who are

  • 2. Explain The Humanistic Approach In Health And Social Care The humanistic approach is a person centred approach which depends on trust between the patient and care giver. It is useful because it is non intrusive and it gives people a choice to change their life. It is also used in lots of situations, this shows it is used often. However, it ignores people s behaviour and is short term so this can affect the care given as the carer won t keep an eye on the behaviour which is very important to observe when providing care. The behavioural approach only involves looking at behaviour which is being observed. It is easy to understand and is a natural approach so you can t really tell how someone actually feels because they might do something else. It also doesn t rely on communication a skill which makes it easier for the health carer and patient if they are not able to communicate well. Pmh Model Essay According to the analysis of variance SPH model study (Table 4.), it was understood that the model was significant since its P value is 0.1, which indicated the independent variables did not have an effect on the dependent variable. The coefficient of determination (R2) of the model was 0.91, which indicated that the model could represent the real relationships among the selected reaction variables. Based on the ANOVA study of SPHP and the Model F value of 49.87, the developed model was significant. There was only a 0.01% chance that a Model F Value this large could happen due to noise. In SPH system, first plot on the left showed the interaction of persulfate and heat amount, it was obvious that any increment was beneficial to the better sugar yield. At 80 °C, the glucose yield increased from 10% to 18%, while the persulfate concentration increased from 0.6 M to 1.1 M for 60 min. The same pattern was observed for the interaction of persulfate content with time and temperature with time. It suggests increasing the time of reaction will increase the potential of SPH system for wheat straw pretreatment. The FTIR spectra of control and radical pretreated samples (in each method two FTIR spectra were analyzed for the runs with highest and lowest sugar yield) are revealed in Fig. 5 7. • 6. “The War On Drugs Is A Big Fucking Lie”. In Recent History, The war on drugs is a big fucking lie In recent history, there has been much rhetoric surrounding the eradication of cross border drug trafficking. The war on drugs was introduced in the 1970s by Nixon, who wanted to eliminate the drugs coming into the United States, since they were seen by him as a threat to our nation. Many laws have been enacted with the purpose keeping illicit drugs out of the United States, yet they do so through the use of nativist ideology, which upholds white supremacy by perpetuating the belief that those associated with Mexico are inherently criminals and must be kept out of the United States. Latin America is looked at as a corrupt place, teeming with drugs and criminals, that is tainting the wonderful and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He ended up working with the DEA for six years, travelling the country in order to fight the war on drugs. Ultimately, he decided to return to Laredo, and worked in the homicide department. Through these two narratives, Slater explores the complexities of the war on drugs and how, ultimately, drug enforcement at the border does little to curb the crossing of drugs over the border. Throughout history, the United States has continuously perpetuated a system based on racism through its drug eradication policies. In 1973, Richard Nixon created the DEA, by consolidating several drug control agencies into one, and prohibited opium, which at the time came mostly from Turkey. (73 74). Nixon brought about the war on drugs, which focused on eradicating illegal drugs from entering the United States, and essentially incited nativist attitudes to do so. There is a tendency in the United States to idealize everything American and discount everything Mexican, which becomes increasingly relevant as Mexico is associated with drugs and crime (21). Abstract The purpose of this research is to build on Auginis and Henle (2001) and Auginis, Simonsen and Pierce (1998) by examining the effects of nonverbal behavior on power perceptions of male and female employees in managerial positons. This study will use a 2 (Gender: male vs. female) x 3 (Nonverbal behavior: eye contact vs. facial expression vs. body posture) x 2 (Repeated measures: pre test vs. post test) design. Employees in the retail industry will fill out a questionnaire prior to the study pertaining to their general perceptions of male and female employees in managerial positons. The questionnaire will be followed by two video tape recordings, showing a male and female manager engaging in all three types of nonverbal behaviors. After watching each video, the participants will be asked to evaluate their perceptions of the manager s power bases (reward, coercive, legitimate, referent, and credibility) by filling out a questionnaire. It is predicted that male employees will be perceived as having more power than female employees for all power bases. Effects of Nonverbal Behavior on Power Perceptions: Male and Female Employees in Managerial Positions Body language is a form of nonverbal communication that allows individuals to communicate their personal feelings, emotions, attitudes and thoughts through body movements. At first, Locke had a passion with medicine and spent a lot of his time creating medicine recipes. In the later years while still at Oxford University, Locke found a passion for natural philosophy, writing, and politics. According to readings from chapter two, after finding a career in politics, Locke developed a friendship with the earl of Shaftesbury, Anthony Ashley Cooper, whose governmental influence declined in 1681 (Schultz Schultz, 2016). Locke was forced to relocate to Holland for a while after Cooper was involved in a plot against King Charles II. After returning to England Locke began to write books in religion, economics, and education (Schultz Schultz, 2016). It wouldn t be long before he became one of the most famous influencers. Locke s interests shifted to the religious freedom and rights of the citizens to govern themselves. His beliefs and his writings quickly increased his fame level and before long he was known throughout most of Europe as a champion of liberalism in government (Schultz Schultz, 2016). While all of Locke s work is relevant, a piece done in 1690 was of most importance to the field of psychology. • 12. What Are The Causes Of The Battle Of Isandlwana After the British arrived at the Cape, their influence and power spread to all areas of southern Africa. This colonisation was met with conflict and resistance, involving many indigenous groups, and led to tense skirmishes with the Zulu Nation. This struggle between the Zulus and the English led to the Battle of Isandlwana, one of the most famous British defeats in history. The causes involved demands for labour and land, however there was an ulterior motive as to why Zululand was invaded. Regarding Anglo Zulu relations, the British felt that the Zulu Nation posed a great military threat against the White Natal Colony and the Transvaal. The British sought to set up a Federation of White colonies and states in South Africa in 1879 , however they felt vulnerable due to the fear caused by the very near Zulu menace (Source D). This specific fear of the Zulu nation was dominant because at the time Cetshwayo had transformed the Zulus into a stronger and mightier power, and therefore was more of a threat towards the British. This fear of the Zulus potentially overthrowing the white government spread to other regions of South Africa, where the settlers hoped that the white government would stay in power. • 13. High Speed And Wide Bandwidth Of Technology CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 Introduction Analog to digital converters (ADCs) is a mixed signal processing device that converts analog signals which are real world signals to digital signals for processing the information. With the advancement of technology, digital signal processing has progressed prominently in recent years. The aim of design is low power, high speed and wide bandwidth analog to digital converter has increased tremendously. Therefore the focus of this thesis is to design low power Flash ADC that operates at high speed. Integration at very large scale a new architectures, and advances in integrated circuit (IC) technology have dramatically changed the design of these systems and created new areas of research and development. By the evolution of technology the transistor size is reduces and the response of transistor is being faster. The evalution of design is deals with a high speed (above 250MHz) but has low resolution (2 to 8 bits) as with small die area which is called System on a chip (SoC). In this trend a large number of transistor is integrated on a single chip, it is a challenge for a developer who designs an analog circuit for high speed applications these are analog to digital and digital to analog converters (ADCs and DACs) that also maintains other desirable attributes like low power consumption and small chip area. The main objective for the consideration a designed ADCs for the complete SoC are high speed and low power consumption. For a Low ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 19. Rudolf Laban Theory Rudolf Laban is a movement theorist, a choreographer and a dancer, who is also considered a pioneer of modern dance. Through constructed theories and knowledge, Rudolf Laban has influenced the culture of movement drastically, developing and shaping techniques which are still used today. In the beginning, Laban movement was primarily used for dancers and dance choreography to discover new ways to move. In the 80s and 90s, it had begun being used to help actors and to improve performances. Rudolf Laban was first recognised for his dedication to supporting the movement of expressionist dance (also known as Ausdruckstanz), which had a big effect on the culture of movement as it changed the artistic stagnation of classical ballet and the maturity within the future of art. This movement arose in the 1900 s and was a protest against classical ballet which was perceived as tightly held and mechanical in fixed and conventional forms. This changed movement to become free and natural, allowing more flow and openness to arise. Rudolf Laban was considered a significant figure within this movement as he influenced the younger youth, teaching at a creative art school called Monte Verita situated in Switzerland. Laban became a key figure based off of his metaphysical ideas regarding his exploration of time and space within movement which further developed later in his career. • 21. The Biological And Physiological Mechanisms Of Action,... Transgenic or Genetically Modified (GM) crops are plants used in agriculture that have been genetically modified using recombinant DNA technology. The aim for GM plants/crops is to express a gene or a trait that is not found in the species of the plant. The scientist that modify the plants insert a foreign gene into the plant s original DNA. As a result to the modification, the plant receives characteristics within the genetic code. Most, GM plants become resistant to pesticides, however there are other variables within transgenic crops. Since the genes of humans, plants, and bacteria are all created from the same genetic material; scientist have a variety of genes to choose from, when modifying. Within plants, genetic modification occurs in steps . There are five major steps in the development of a genetically engineered crop. But for every step, it is very important to know the biochemical and physiological mechanisms of action, regulation of gene expression, and safety of the gene and the gene product to be utilized 1. The first step is mapping; Mapping is locating and isolating the desired gene before extraction. Once the gene is extracted, it must be cloned. Many copies are made of the isolated Gene; gene cloning isolates the gene from the entire extracted DNA. Once it is cloned, the gene of interest is designed and packaged so that it can be controlled and properly expressed inside the host plant. The cumulative toxic effects of chronic alcohol abuse can cause both medical and psychiatric problems. Identifying alcoholism is difficult because of the social stigma associated with the disease that causes people with alcoholism to avoid diagnosis and treatment for fear of shame or social consequences. A common method for diagnosing alcoholism is evaluating responses to a group of standardized questions. These can be used to identify harmful drinking patterns, including alcoholism. In general, problem drinking is considered alcoholism when the person continues to drink when they want to stop because of social or health problems caused by drinking. Treatment of alcoholism takes several steps. Because of the medical problems that can be caused by withdrawal, alcohol detoxification is carefully controlled and may involve medications such as benzodiazepines such as diazepam (Valium). People with alcoholism also sometimes have other addictions, including addictions to benzodiazepines, which may complicate this step. After detoxification, other support such as group therapy or self help groups are used to help the person remain sober. Thombs (1999) states according to behavioural sciences alcoholism is described as a maladaptive behaviour . He explains this must not be confused with misbehaviour . Behavioural scientists explain that addicts have a behaviour pattern, which may lead to destructive consequences for themselves, their families and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

At issue is whether the misconduct which warranted the termination rose to the level of misconduct which would warrant the denial of unemployment compensation. Rodman recognizes the last straw doctrine, but contends that the district court erred in applying the rule in this case because her infractions on February 15 were the result of third parties over whom she had no control. Rodman contends that she may not be denied unemployment benefits where the last straw which led to her termination was not willful or intentional, especially where, under the employer s policy, she could not have been discharged at all prior to this final incident. Issue: If substantial evidence existed that Rodman s conduct on February 15, considered in light of the totality of circumstances including her previous history of personal phone calls and unauthorized visitors, showed a willful or wanton disregard for her employee s interests, then Rodman s benefits were properly denied. Rule: We believe that termination for a series of incidents which, taken together, may constitute misconduct is distinguishable from termination for a single incident following one or more corrective action notices. In the latter event, as here, we hold that the last straw must demonstrate a willful or wanton disregard for the employer s interests for unemployment benefits to be denied. ... The key reform in state corporations has been the introduction of performance management systems but only few countries have successfully implemented the same and got positive results Performance management initiatives were put in place to tackle issues and concerns that organisations have on performance (Sharif, 2002). Majority of countries are seeking to develop a culture in the public sector that is more performance oriented , one that gives much focus to efficiency, effectiveness, quality Customer care, an increased focus on results as well as more decentralised management (Petrie,2002). In the last two decades performance management in the public sector has shifted its focus to putting in place systems for measuring outputs and rewarding results (Heinrich, 2003). Performance Management initiatives are used to enhance employee s productivity through managing their performance (Poister, 2003).Performance management initiatives are very important in the public sector of many developing countries where the productivity has been low and the workforces continue to work under vague job specifications and muddled lines of accountability. One is the belief that body language evolved over time to help fill human social needs such as finding food, needing shelter, or gathering together. Another is that there are so many different categories of nonverbal communication. • 31. The Relationship Between Faith And Reason In Pope John... Pope John Paul II found it important enough to talk about the relationship between faith and reason in his encyclical Fides et Ratio. An encyclical is a letter that is sent to all of the bishops of the Roman Catholic Church and addresses a problem, or important topic that the pope believes needs to be discussed. In Fides et Ratio, Pope John Paul II really emphasizes the importance of the relationship between faith and reason and how it has to do with the trust and faith put in God. This encyclical written in 1998 was meant for all of the members of the Catholic Church to understand and begin thinking about the big questions that define their faith, as well as to once again be able to reason with their faith. If there was never a questioning of faith, there would be no reason for the followers of the Catholic Church to continue to follow a man that we accept as our Lord. Faith and reason go hand in hand just like identity and relevance. Without one, you cannot have the other and still achieve full meaning. It is possible to have only faith and just live a life based on faith alone. It is also possible to only reason through everything. However, when dealing with religion, Pope John Paul II makes it a point to show the followers if Christ that they need to have an equal balance of both faith and reason in order to attempt to comprehend who Jesus Christ the Son of God was, who in fact God is, and have the knowledge to grow and understand the Roman Catholic beliefs.
