Social Media And Local Media
We will start our campaign in the beginning of June till the end of September in 2017. Our main goal
is to reach 1000 millennials in the Fort Worth area in those four months.
We re going to be doing a lot of advertisements throughout radio broadcasting, local news in the DFW
area, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Our goal is use social media and local media to captivate people attention to our fundraiser. We are
also using these types of media because they are a daily use to most people and is a useful and time
effective way to create a buzz for this fundraiser.

but is very effective. The budget will be divided into two ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And lastly, use newspaper that offers local popular restaurants and events to reach both primary and
secondary markets. We will partner with the newspaper to use their statistics on their paper to track the
success.
The second objective was created was to generate awareness by 5 percent of the total millennial
population in the Fort Worth area from June 1, 2017 until September 29, 2017. The Young
Professionals Association will hold many events throughout the summer months to generate
awareness for Lena Pope. YPA will hold an 80 s art contest where they get a chance to get their art
displayed at Rock the Fort. Millennials would be targeted through many bars in Fort Worth and
through organizations throughout Texas Christian University campus. The success of the contest will
be monitored through the number of those who sign up for the contest. The participants will have to
sign up for Lena Pope s mailing list in order to participate. This will make it easier to measure the
success and see the involvement towards the organization. Additionally, we will offer a free entrance
done through radio call in. Reach the millennial population and secondary target market of 30 to 40
year olds in the Fort Worth area. This will also be measured through the cooperation with the radio
stations who give us the complete number of those who tried to call. Also, YPA will start a free yoga

Fecal Microbiota Transplant Research Paper
Fecal Microbiota Transplants for the Treatment
Of Clostridium Difficile
Emily Ramirez
Aurora University
Abstract
Fecal transplants have been around for many years; however up until recently it had not been widely
used or accepted as a feasible course of treatment for gastrointestinal complications. Since approval by
the U.S Food and Drug administration in 2013, the method is being thoroughly researched and tested
to entice its use for Clostridium difficile infections. Clostridium difficile is extremely prevalent in the
community and more over in healthcare facilities. The current treatments that are being used are quiet
successful at treating Clostridium difficile, but the incidence of reoccurrence is fairly high. Fecal
microbiota transplants have shown to have a very high success rate, and a very low reoccurrence rate.
There are several ways of performing the treatment as well as different options for finding donors of
the feces, all of which have similar and unwavering success rates. Fecal microbiota ... Show more

Methods include nasogastric tube, nasoduodenal tube, colonoscopy, oral fecal capsules, and self

approach, they include the fact that you can instill the stool along the length of the entire colon as well
as visualize the colon for any abnormalities (Boyle et al., 2015). Despite the great advantage of using
the colonoscopy method, it is associated with risk for complications such at perforation, infection,
bleeding, pain, and furthermore the additional cost of anesthesia (Boyle et al., 2015). No matter the
method they all have generally high success rates. According to the Oprita et al. study, 100% of their
patients had a resolution of symptoms after treatment (2016). Similar results were shown in the

The Food On Biola University Is All Provided By Bon Appetite
The food on Biola University is all provided by Bon Appetite. In the beginning, I did not know that
Bon Appetite s food was Certified Humane so I decided to show support of humane treatment of
animals by going on a vegetarian diet. Since I could not go off campus to buy Certified Humane
groceries nor could I really afford buying healthy groceries, I decided to go vegetarian. I did the
vegetarian diet for two weeks and obtained protein through nuts, beans, and peanut butter. When I was
participating in the diet, I realized how common meat was a part of the dishes served for breakfast,
lunch, and dinner. It was often a central part of a dish, and meat was always served for every meal.
While protein is an essential part of a healthy diet, the amount offered is more than needed. After this
exercise, I am willing to consider giving up chicken or pork. I also definitely suggest going on a
vegetarian diet for at least a week or two to experience what it is like. I gained a broader perspective
when I did this diet and learned how vegetarians got their protein, why vegetarians did their diet, and
obtained a common ground to discuss about with vegetarians or vegans. I find that a vegetarian diet is
a lot easier than a vegan diet. Perhaps one should participate in a vegetarian diet for a week and then a
vegan diet for another week. In addition, to fully understand the purpose of such diet and effects of
such diet, one should perhaps journal their experience, note down what they would

A Brief Analysis Of The San Francisco Security Treaty And...
With Japan formally surrendering on September 2nd, 1945 to the Allied powers it was not until years
later that a peace and a security treaty was formally signed between the United States and Japan. This
paper will review and give a brief analysis of the San Francisco security treaty and will largely focus
on the mutual cooperation and security articles. This paper will analyze the treaty s costs and benefits
between Japan and the United States, how it has changed over time, and future prospects for the
alliance.
With the signing of the San Francisco Peace Treaty on September 8, 1951 and along with article nine
of their constitution, Japan had effectively become a disarmed state, allowing only a small defense
force to be created to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Forces will protect Japan from belligerent attack from outside aggression, as well as giving assistance
to put down large scale internal riots and disturbances inside Japan. Article Two states that Japan will
not grant any military bases or other rights, powers, or authority in relation to military bases, or the
right to garrison or allow transit of any force to a third power without the consent of the US. Article
Three refers to the conditions of how armed forces between the US and Japan will be administered.
Finally, Article Four states that the treaty will expire when both the US and Japan are satisfied that
security and peace can be maintained by either the UN or other collective security agreements.
The peace treaty was fairly generous to Japan. It did not necessarily have to pay heavy reparations to
the US, nor did it have any post treaty supervision of the state. Japan s economic recovery was put at
the top of US interests, which allowed Japan to enter the US markets, which Japan highly favored as it
hoped to become an economic power. Without the need to build military force for security, Japan
would be able to devote all of its resources to its economy. Simultaneously, the US pressed Japan to
have greater trade with other Asian and Pacific countries. Having the US stamp of approval did

The Importance Of A Study Of Today s Business Market
In this essay is will be detailing the importance of a study of today s business market. A market survey
is key both before and after the release of a product or a business idea to strengthen it. You have an
idea of business that seem irresistible. Or you simply think to launch a new product, you ve found a
super location for your new business and want it, yes or Yes. Any of these actions requires money and
effort. For this reason it is necessary that we have all the data that ensures the viability of a project. A
good analysis and good planning will depend on that we devote resources to the areas that interest us
and which minimize the risks. Body
Market research helps us to understand the response of our potential customers (our target) and
suppliers and analyze our product, price and distribution, in short, all the factors to analyze a business
marketing plan. Every company should know, that often overlooked and issues that help us make the
best decisions. A correct compilation and analysis of this information we will be valuable not only
during the initial set up a business. Also our company is running, to get to know, for example, what
perception have of our brand and what notoriety has or if our product meets their needs. A market
study is something live, updatable and evolution. Quantitative, qualitative, techniques of observation
and documentary analysis are used for the development of a market study. From polls to the research
of trends in social networking or

Marching Band Research Paper
Why was I cursed with the passion to learn what was called the Universal language of the world. My
intentions with music arose from a young age in a middle school band when I was given a trumpet
after being rejected a saxophone. I was as good as a middle school musician. Even so, my middle
school band director chose me along with a few others to represent the school in a regional 6th grade
honor band. To be declared as outstanding (or as outstanding as a middle schooler can be) musician
was different enough that it sparked an obvious passion in me. My older brother was a school year
ahead of me and was also being recognized for his achievements in band which allowed me to have a
close incentive to be better. To get into Honor band after the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

When I entered High school it was a completely different experience. I used to play sports, why was
marching band so demanding of me? An immediate change was present in the level of musicianship
needed to be recognized above the others. My band director s name was Ms. Mello but she was
beyond mellow when she was judging our musical capabilities. She was a great friend but would tear
kids apart when it came to musicality or standing out of form in marching band. Luckily for me, I was
one of the few middle school musicians who practiced somewhat in middle school. I was recognized
as a great musician for a freshman in high school. During the concert band season, there were two
bands. The advanced group, the wind ensemble, and the beginner group, the concert band. I admit that
there was another freshman trumpet player who made the Wind Ensemble when I did not even bother
to audition. In the concert group, I would advance far enough that the director trusted me to be the
principal trumpet player, above the older musicians in my section. When sophomore year came
around, I earned first part for marching band and I made my Wind

Reflection Paper About Sex
1) Loving your body and yourself
Someone can only love you if you love yourself. This class made me retake drawing. One exercise
presented in class was to do someone you are good at to help build confidence. I loved drawing
portrait but for some reason I stopped once I started dating my boyfriend of 3 years. I now starting to
bring that hobbies back up and its making me love myself stronger again. In one of our NPR, students
also reviews media and its harmful effects on female body image. I am a healthy BMI but I constantly
think I am not skinny enough, which is disappointing. I decided to unfollow the girls that made me
insecure online on apps such as Instagram and twitter. I follow more body positive accounts. I found a
love for fitness and health and I decided I want to feel better rather than look skinner. It made a world
of difference being in the class and learning that loving yourself was not as hard as I expected.
2) Understanding sexual activity through the years
This topic took me by surprise. I don t live with older adults, only my parents. I have never had a
grandmother to talk to so I just never thought of the idea of growing old with someone. Research from
NSSHB 2010, shows that people between the ages of 18 29 have sex on average of 112 times per year,
while adults 40 49 have sex around 69 times a year. This study shows that 3 percent of married
women reported that they had never had sex in the past year. I find this information important because

In “Worship At The Altar of Convergence”, Henry Jenkins...
In Worship At The Altar of Convergence , Henry Jenkins discusses the concept of convergence, where
both old and new media collide. Jenkins describes convergence as the flow of content between
multiple media platforms, industries, and the migratory behaviour that is present throughout the media
audience (2). He explains that convergence is a necessity because it describes technological, industrial,
cultural and social changes that are present in our technological society. That being said, Jenkins
analyzes the relation between media convergence, participatory culture, and collective intelligence.
Jenkins argues that American popular culture will be redefined by the struggles over convergence and
media. With the idea of profit in mind, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This relates to what Jenkins was describing as the process of convergence, where consumers demand
more advanced phones. Although there may be the odd few that prefer single function phones, they
are cheap yet harder to find now a days due to the high demand for advanced technology. This shows
how the growth of convergence culture increases by relying heavily of the consumer s active
participation in order to succeed.
Jenkins talks about how the consumption of media products is a collective process, in other words, the
collective intelligence is seen as an alternative source of media power. He describes how within
popular culture, the collective meaning making is shaping and changing the ways religion, education,
laws, politics, advertising and how the military operate (4). Jenkins discusses a process called
convergence of modes , he explains that media and communication are becoming interconnected like
the telephone and television.
Overall, Jenkins is interested on the impact convergence has on popular culture, however, considering
the process of convergence of modes, he recognizes that popular and political cultural are beginning to
blur. Like cultural, both new and old media alike are begging to blur and evolve, while delivery
technologies become obsolete and get replaced. An example would be the replacement of floppy disk
to CDs and more commonly now, the use of USBs, Jenkins describes this as The Black Box Fallacy ,
where media combine as one

Anti-Semitism In Remember The Titans
About a year and a half ago my brother and I were at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp during the summer. I
was talking with one of my buddies in the camp about how I am Jewish, when suddenly a camp
counselor tapped me on my shoulder. I turned around and he had the most utterly confused look on his
face I d ever seen. He actually asked me without a doubt on his mind Wait? If your jewish then where
s your horns? When other kids heard him ask me they wondered as well and for some reason started to
actually throw pennies at me. Ok...why do kids my age randomly have pennies in their pockets and
what the heck are you supposed to say in that situation? A few hours later, I found out that they
thought Jews were just devils in disguise. I still think about this situation today and I can t help

football team has to remember to act as a team rather than racist idiots by coercion from their parents.
They also have to fight through the discrimination of the black players and having a black coach. They
learn to stick as a team and even band together when Gary Bertier, one of the head players, paralyzes

The African-American Community
One of the main issues that America has continued to ignore is the problems within the African
American community. Many children within the African American community fail to get the
necessary leadership from their respective parents. That lack of leadership generally occurs from the
absence pf a father figure in the household. Reason may be because of a father being imprisoned for
whatever reason, or the father being killed by law enforcement illegally. Thus, the more
impressionable minds within the community commit illegal activities to get recognition from their
peers. Indeed, these people should be punished for their acts by law enforcement. What the African

Self accountability consists of someone being willing to own responsibly or to account for their
actions in a responsible manner. Rather than owning up to the wrongdoing committed it is common
for those in the African American community to give up and only rely on drug abuse to get from day
to day. The rate of recurrent alcoholism among African Americans is 35.4 percent, versus 33 percent
among Hispanics and 22.8 percent among whites. (Sunrise House, Winter). A lot alike alcohol when
the African American user uses other drugs like, cocaine, crack, marijuana, and other drugs they are
also more likely to get addicted to that as well. As stated by, Gil Scott Heron, The revolution will not

unquenchable thirst for meat, flesh, and brains yet do not act upon their desire. Maybe, due to decay,
the eye sight of the zombie has decreased significantly along with its other senses. Or, once
zombiefied it no longer even use the senses. The zombies may altogether gain new and different
senses, and rely heavily upon those to tell what is around them. Either way, the awareness of a zombie
is significantly lower than a living human, but still dangerous none the less. The Night of the Living

Spaying And Neuter Pets Essay
the Arms of an Angel and there are dogs and cats sitting behind a closed kennel door looking at the
camera with sad eyes. This breaks my heart every time I see this commercial or hear the song playing
on the radio. There are many millions of animals that are unloved, neglected and abandoned in shelters
each year because people do not participate in getting their animals spayed or neutered or the animals
are over bred for profit.
Animal overcrowding in shelters is only one reason of many as to why pet owners should spay or
neuter their pets, but it is the most important reason of all. Shelters all over the United States are past
the overcrowded level and even dog rescue groups are finding it harder and harder everyday to find

When you think about all these situations, the amount of animals in a shelter can rapidly increase
every day, and this is very sad that we have done this to our furry friends .
Spaying and neutering your animal can not only help with the overcrowding in shelters but can
actually be beneficial to your home and pets. Male dogs and cats when un neutered have a tendency to
mark their property. When they mark their territory it can lead to a very unpleasant smell in and
around your home. Have you ever walked a dog and noticed them peeing frequently on fire hydrants,
trees, corners or certain sections in the yard? This would be your male animal stating that he is a male.
When you neuter your male animal, this behavior decreases and thus you can have a cleaner smelling
house. Also, it is a recognizes concept amongst pet owners that getting your animal fixed can help
with behavioral issues such as aggression, dominance, and also sexual arousal around a female animal.
Female dogs and cats go into a heat cycle, similar to that of a female human. Their cycle causes them
to bleed for about two weeks and can make quite the mess if you are not planning for it. Also, spaying
can help with the females behavior as well; they mellow down and are less fussy. If you re a female
you know that when you re on your cycle you can be temperamental, it s the same for female dogs and
cats.
There is also health related issues that are more prominent in animals that aren t

Current Business and Technology Conditions That Complicate...
Current business and technology conditions that complicate effective application of business analytics
to business intelligence and knowledge management data, and the prospects for improvement
Businesses have collected data for many years. Most of the data they collect has been for historical
purposes, such as how much of an item has sold and what are the profits gained from those sales.
Business intelligence allows one to take that data, manipulate as you see fit and generate reports. The
data then has to be extracted and trends analyzed so that businesses can find more opportunities and
new customer segments. This is known as business analytics. However that may sound simple, there
are current business and technology conditions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Scott Staple (2009) claims that the culprit for this is the term business intelligence due to how
companies are using it to develop their tools. The software companies are basically telling businesses
that the software tools they have created will automatically gather intelligence to run their business.
However, these tools are very good for things like reporting, data mining, creating dashboards, etc.,
this is still all data and not information. This is because business intelligence traditionally focuses on
using a consistent set of metrics to both measure past performance and guide business planning.
Business analytics on the other hand, as defined on Wikipedia (2012, Aug 06) refers to the skills,
technologies, applications and practices for continuous iterative exploration and investigation of past
business performance to gain insight and drive business planning. It goes on to state that, Business
analytics focuses on developing new insights and understanding of business performance based on
data and statistical methods. This is in contrast to business intelligence and stated above. Business
intelligence answers questions such as what happened, , how often, how many, where the problem is,
and what needs to happen next. Business analytics answers questions like why is this happening, what
if these trends continue, what might

Sympathy And The Boston Massacre
Points of views are majorly impacted by different words, actions and even locations. This is important
in order to understand all the sides of a story. Meaning, that on March 5th, 1770, when colonists and
soldiers gathered on King s street, America and Britain went to the media to present their perspectives
of the tragic event. The statements, that were similar, are as follows: the colonists used snowballs as
weapons, there was profanity from both soldiers and colonists, and lastly, around 11 soldiers were
involved and two more were assaulted. Deciding what the truth was, was difficult. Therefore, the

The Benefits Of Organic Food And Organic Foods
As consumers, we see the label organic in most supermarkets that we shop at every day, but do we
know what makes certain food items obtain the label organic? There is much controversy on the topic
organic foods and for good reason. There are many factors to take into account when decided if
organic food is superior to conventionally grown foods. There are key components that all amount to
how nutritious your food is. It all comes down to the quality of the land that the food is grown on, the
farming technique, the elimination of toxic chemicals, and the increase in certain beneficial vitamins.
The only downside to being pro organic food is the slightly increased price tag. Despite the increased
cost, organic foods are a healthier choice compared to conventional chemical ridden foods.
In the United States, organic food has become so popular people don t have to grow their own food or
even find a farmers market to be able to obtain organic food. You can typically find it in supermarkets
everywhere. Organic farming has been around for quite some time; it first became popular during the
1940s. Throughout the decades, people gained more knowledge on the benefits of farming and eating
organic. George Kuepper, a sustainable agriculture specialist, notes, . . . while one can t say that the 60
s counterculture invented organic farming, it is fair to say that it created the organic industry (9).

Designing A Representative Model Of Real World Environments
Most of the previous types of simulations and simulators referenced evaluating methods and effective
practices. In the distant past technological advancement in the form of medical training mannequins or
board games were the bulk of technology based simulators. With the growth of the computer industry,
we are naturally increasing our use of computerized technology. Simulation is absolutely no exception
to this. Computer simulations have become one of the greatest and most common ways of creating a
representative model of real world environments. Steadman, Coates, Huang, Matevosian, Larmon,
McCullough, and Ariel (2006) pointed out the spread of simulations in the medical fields:
Fueled by the increasing emphasis on interactive medical education, the use of patient simulation has
spread from anesthesiology to a growing list of disciplines including emergency medicine, radiology,
pediatrics, neonatology, trauma, nursing, other allied health professions, and military and disaster

The Effects Of Four Methods Of Subcutaneous Heparin...
Heparin Article Critique
The purpose of this study was to determine and compare the effects of four methods of subcutaneous
heparin injection on pain and bruising in abdomen and thighs. The researchers tested four different
methods during the study. The methods had different injection rates and needle time left in the patient
before removing it. The researchers used a quasi experimental within subject design. 90 patients with
COPD in two ICU wards were tested. The title of the article is straightforward and exact tells the
reader what the article is about. One thing the article did not mention was the population and
demographics of the sample. It was not until I read to the abstract to discover the population. Overall
the abstract does an excellent job to given the reader insight of what they are about to read. The
abstract clearly summarize the main features of the report: the problem, methods, results, and
conclusion.
Introduction
During the introduction, the researcher gives background to the topic being discussed. It took some
time search to locate problem. The authors do not directly state what the problem is, but rather let the
reader to assume what the problem is. I believe the problem is stated in this sentence, Bruising and
pain due to heparin injection are considered to be both patients and nurses problems, because they are
important factors for changing and adjustment of clinical performance (Azimi, Jafarabadi

Thinking During The Renaissance
The disciplines of thinking among the studies of art and science intertwine to form an understanding
from our truths. During the Renaissance, artists such as Leonardo da Vinci were students of
physiology, anatomy, and mathematics. The Baroque era furthered the study of art and science with
the influences of Galileo Galilei, Nicolaus Copernicus, and Isaac Newton to elevate humanism as
observed by the paintings of Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio and others. Later in history, the
Rococo period embellished the Baroque style for a more lavish expression of playfulness among
aristocracy during an age of Enlightenment. The Renaissance, Baroque, and Rococo ages advanced
disciplines of thinking in the scope of art and science by intertwining these

The Marketing Strategy Of Whirlpool Corporation
In the United States, the cooking industry is a mature market with high penetration, therefore,
replacement product is significantly important to the industry. The United States has three major
manufacturers for domestic production; Whirlpool, General Electric, and Electrolux. The appliance
industry is changing and become more competitive with the influence of Asian competitors,
specifically, LG and Samsung is importing appliances into the United States. Subsequently, in January
2016, a Chinese manufacturer, Haier, bid for the purchase of General Electric Appliances, finalizing
the contract, Monday, June 6, 2016 (Thompson, 2016).
Whirlpool Corporation is the largest global manufacturer of home appliances (Innovation at the Pace
of Life, 2016). Although, Whirlpool is globally the largest manufacturer, they do not dominate all
markets, as they do in North America. In North America, Whirlpool s strength lies in a strong and vast
brand portfolio, consisting of seven brands (Fettig, 2016). In 2006, the United States Department of
Justice approved the acquisition of Maytag Corporation by Whirlpool (Henriques, 2006). The
acquisition served a two fold purpose, seating Whirlpool in the number one market share position in
North America and adding strong brands such as Maytag, Jenn Air, and Amana to the portfolio. A
series of acquisitions is accelerating growth for Whirlpool and ensuring global market leadership.

Difference Between Jane Eyre And Wide Sargasso Sea
Jean Rhys and Charlotte Bronte wrote their novels in distinctive time periods and originated from
diverse influences in writing. Jean Rhys novel, Wide Sargasso Sea is a fascinating connection to
Rochester s insane wife locked in a room. Rhys further represents Antoinette while, Charlotte Bronte
affirmed that it was left clarified (Thorpe 126) Antoinette, like Jane, evolves in a world with a
negligible measure of affection to offer. Both these characters are taken care of by relatives, both had a
lonely childhood, and both had lost their first companion. Jane is competent in refusing to herself, the
trademarks others put on her shape her character, while Antoinette is baffled by having a body, soul
and life. She is overlooked by everybody aside from Josephine and has little correspondence with
others. The characters bear a loss of personal identity, psychologically and physically. Jane s fixation
with Rochester, allows her feelings to oppress her. Jane understands her fixation as she expresses, My
future husband was becoming to me my whole world; and more than the world: almost my hope of

Unlike to Antoinette, who felt disengagement since a young age met a male who encounters the same
isolation, and looks all starry eyed at him. This feeling spares her from depression and ruins her

and Rochester vary from the relations of Rochester and Antoinette; due to Bronte s portrayal both
characters demolish their aloneness and discover essential worth in one another, they are
indistinguishable from various perspectives and cannot live separated. As Jane states, I am not talking
to you now through the medium of custom, conventionalities or even of mortal flesh; it is my spirit

Emily Grierson In A Rose For Emily
Emily Grierson is the main character in A Rose for Emily by William Faulkner. She makes an unjust
choice when she gives her father, Mr. Grierson, domination over her. Mr. Grierson kept his daughter
sheltered and away from everyone because he felt the young men in their town weren t good enough
for her. When Mr. Grierson dies, Emily Grierson receives freedom and start what she would call a new
start. She soon gains interest to Homer Barron. She is scared to lose Mr. Barron of her love and
attraction to him that she never shared with no other man, other than her father. She wants to control
Homer Barron like her father did her. Consequently, she makes another unjust decision, which is the
climax of the story, she poisons him. Ms. Grierson poisoning Homer Barron is unwise because she
will never know what future with him will be like. Unfortunately, Homer Baron did not feel the same
attraction that she did for him. As a result, he rejected her proposal. ... Show more content on

Faulkner thinks the public s point of view gives the story a weird feeling. It appears as if there is
constantly someone following Miss Emily, patiently waiting outside her house, and taking notice of
who goes in and out her door. This is obvious from the townspeople s opinions about Emily. They
seem to have a lot of information about her life. When she was first seen with Homer Barron, it was
obvious that they would get married. Then, it was finally known that Homer Barron liked men and he
would drink with the younger men in the Elks club. The narration of this story is biased. It is not
possible for the public to really know what is going on in Emily s private life; they are just obsessed
with trying to pick apart everything she does. It is even stated in the beginning of the book that the
women attended her funeral only to see the inside of her old house, which they were

Mexican War Justified
The Mexican War: Justified or Unjustified?
The Mexican War, or as it was called in Mexico, the American Invasion, was a very controversial
event. Before the Mexican War, people from the US began moving to Texas. Texas was a disputed
territory, as neither country agreed on who owned it. Mexico said they owned, while the US said that
they did. There are many reasons to argue that the Mexican War should/should not have been started.
The Mexican War should not have been started because US settlers in Texas broke Mexican law, the
US invaded Mexico, and the countries had mixed up borders.
Before the Mexican War started, both the US and Mexico had mixed up borders. Mexico thought that
their border was at the Nueces, making Texas part of Mexico. ... Show more content on

The Social Role Of The Nobility Changed From Those Who...
This essay proposes that across Europe between 1550 and 1800 the social role of the nobility changed
from those who fight to a broader role where political, professional and economic power had more
significance. It will explore the parts of a noble s role that continued and those that changed over the
period. The essay is supported by primary source material such as contemporaneous writing, pictorial
evidence of buildings and art and will draw on secondary source material taken from course work and
independent study to indicate how this evolved elite used style and culture to portray an images of
themselves that reflected the social changes in noble lifestyle. Charles Loyseau (1564 1627) in 1610
described three social orders they were: those who pray, those who fight and the poor . However
Deborah Brunton expands Loyseau s simplistic view (Brunton.D, 2016 p.22), by suggesting additional
social layers, proposing that a nobles dominated the social order in the 16th century by owning much
of the land and wealth, however by the 18th century, wealthy merchants and bankers from the lower
orders joined the elite. This new type of nobility provided a more diverse and broader range of
political influence with the monarchy and government. Historians have engaged in debate regarding
the metamorphosis of the nobility from landowners who fought when required to do so by their ruler,
into the educated, political advisors and administrators of the crown. For

Why Are Sweatshops Be Banned
Introduction
The word sweatshop has always had a negative connotation lingering over it. Many economists
believe that they should be banned and made illegal due to their poor working conditions, safety
hazards and worker exploitations. Although these opinions will indefinitely exist about sweatshops
there are many economists that fight the negative views by bringing statistics and facts about alternate
working conditions into the picture. This forces readers to see alternate views about the issue and how
people in third world countries make a living. The purpose of this review is to investigate the different
aspects and views on how sweatshops are either beneficial or detrimental to third world countries and

Many articles were also found through current, credible news sources. The term sweatshops was

became a little more difficult after narrowing down the topic from a broad point of view. Many articles
about this issue were also found by researching credible economists that have discussed the
controversy multiple times in journals. These articles helped the most with research because
economists have different views about sweatshops and how it helps shape the economy but they also
do not neglect the aspect of exploitation of workers and unfair pay issues sweatshops bring. Research

The Resurrection Research Paper
It s not enough that the tomb is empty. It s not enough to proclaim, Christ is risen! It s not enough to
believe in the resurrection. At some point we must move from the event of the resurrection to
experiencing the resurrection. Experiencing resurrected life begins with recognizing the risen Christ
among us. That is the gift of Easter and it is also the difficulty and challenge described in today s
gospel.
The Gospel authors (especially Luke and John) go to great lengths to show that there s something
different about the resurrected Christ. Something so different that Mary Magdalene doesn t recognize
Jesus, and in fact mistakes him for the gardener, on Easter morning. And then the disciples on the road
to Emmaus talk about Jesus all afternoon ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Gospels don t tell us what exactly was different about Jesus. Just that he is unrecognizable. Until
Jesus calls Mary by name, or until he breaks bread with the disciples. Then they came to know that he
is Jesus.
Very quietly, gently, the evangelists communicate something very important to us: something happens
in the resurrection which makes Jesus new. They are coy about the details. But, we don t need the
details to know that something is going on here.
But, one of the other things that the Gospel authors are also clearly intent on showing us, is that it s
really Jesus who rose from the dead. It s not a ghost. Not a spirit. Not a vision. Not a hallucination.
You can t reach out and touch a hallucination. Visions don t eat broiled fish. That new reality begins
with touching and seeing, flesh and bones, hands and feet, and broiled fish. Jesus said to his disciples,
Look at my hands and my feet; see that it is I myself. Touch me and see; for a ghost does not have
flesh and bones as you see that I have. Then he showed them his hands and his feet. After this he ate a
piece of broiled fish in their presence. After the resurrection of Lord Jesus A little boy was

Book Review of The Face of Battle by John Keegan Essay
THE FACE OF BATTLE
John Keegan, the author of The Face of Battle is allowing the reader to view different perspective of
history, from the eyes of the soldier. Although by his own account, Keegan acknowledges, I have
never been in a battle. And I grow increasingly convinced that I have very little idea of what a battle
can be like. Keegan scorns historians for pointing the finger of failure after an evolution occurs and
not examining the soldier s point of view while the battle is transpiring.
Keegan chooses the three well documented campaigns of Agincourt in 1415, Waterloo in 1815, and
Somme in 1916 to answer the question of his thesis: To find out how men who are faced with the
threat of single missile and multiple missile ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
King Henry V sought to regain some French territory lost in the Hundred Year War and set out on a
120 mile journey to Maisoncelles where the English came head to head, or 300 yards, with the French.
The English bowmen enticed the French to action and when the French responded they were met at
the English line which consisted of three groups and archers on the right and left. Keegan goes on to
tell of how the different groups of warriors affected each other: the archers versus the cavalry and
infantry, the cavalry versus infantry, and infantry versus infantry. The worse effect must have been on
the French soldiers that after the order was given to kill all survivors unless they were rich, noblemen,
or worth a ransom. The third chapter, titled Waterloo, June 18th, 1815 , skips ahead four hundred years
to Waterloo in 1815 after Napoleon returned from his exile in Elba to face the Prussians and the
British soldiers. Keegan gives an extremely thorough look at the battle evolution and breaks the
timeline down into five phases: diversion, weakening the center front with artillery, further weakening
the center front with cavalry, infantry attack, Prussia reserve arrival and Napoleon s defeat. Keegan
goes on to describe how no soldier on either side would have been able to view the entire battlefield
and how the events of combat for eight straight hours, after already going through a skirmish with the

The Digital Revolution Is Responsible For The Largest...
Introduction
The digital revolution has been instrumental in reshaping entire sectors, categories and industries one
of the most heavily affected is the retail sector. In the changing digital landscape, new opportunities to
innovate through the embracing of e tailing have meant that retail stores are no longer geographically
limited, but the rise of e tailing provides it s own set of unique challenges to bricks and mortar
retailing. This literature review will succinctly analyze and evaluate the effect that e tailing has had on
traditional bricks and mortar retailing, by looking at the ways in which the bricks and mortar retail
stores have had to develop their retailing strategy in an increasingly digital world. Across the extant
literature three themes were consistently detected around the effects online retailing has had on
traditional bricks and mortar retailing, in the forms of the responses of physical retailers to this digital
shift in the sector; fight it, use it or embrace it by fully integrating it into an ongoing strategy. Each of
these themes is discussed below.
Context
The digital revolution is responsible for the largest societal shift in history the rapid rate of consumer
uptake in the use of internet as a new technology beats the adoption of other technological
developments significantly. While it took decades for the widespread societal adoption of television
and radio, the internet was adopted far quicker from 16 million users in 1995, through to over 3

Catfish And Mandala Analysis
In the book Catfish Mandala Andrew X. Pham illustrates many cultural aspects, including his family
experiences of many disappointments through sacrifice and loss. As a result of moving to America, the
family becomes disoriented. Due to the war in his country Pham s family was forced to immigrate to a

generations will benefit. His parents made the decision to move to America for their children to have a
better future. The family felt the loss of their cultural identity by encountering a new one. Each
member lost their identity and culture because they had to adapt to a new world.
Pham states, I am a Vietnamese American man (10). This particular quote is an example of self
identity conflict. Pham feels disoriented about his identity. In many occasions, he feels trapped with
the question Where are you from ? because he feels American but people still do not accept him under
that category. For the whole family, it was a drastic change, escaping from the Vietnam war trying to
find a better life. During the course of the years, each member of the family had a drastic personality
change. Each member adjusted to the American culture on the needs they felt were necessary. Thong
(Andrew s father) was extremely violent. He wanted his children to be very disciplined. His actions
were considered normal in Vietnam; however, in America Thong was considered an abusive parent.

Boston Red Patriots Essay
Founded on September 7th, 1630, Boston was one of the largest cities in North America, and was also
a hotbed for revolutionary Patriots in the late 1700 s. Yet very little meaningful fighting happened
around this area, despite its size, and the some 28,000 men in and around it. It was because of the
Continental Army s lack of discipline, trained officers and adequate equipment, and the British force s
laziness around orders and lack of enthusiasm for going on the offensive that made the Siege of
Boston an avoidable, and pointless stalemate.
On one side of the siege, were the Patriots who made up the young and scrappy Continental Army, a
mixture of untrained northern militias, southern auxiliary infantry units, and the occasional group of
Native Americans, who all joined together in their hate of the British. The hate alone was not enough
to give the Patriot s victory and a wide range of shortcomings and failures made this body of men
ineffective. This ragtag group of individuals had very little equipment to start with. Most of the men
would bring their own firearms from home, but they had little in terms of normal materials for an

The response to this inquiry is severance and the Civil War. The southern withdrawal was the
aftereffect of a longstanding battle over the issue of subjection, and particularly the issue of slavery s

with the Missouri emergency regarding the affirmation of that state as a slave state in 1820. Settled, as

points of view set the phase for future confrontations over the issue. The expansion of the cutting edge

The Peninsular Oriental Steam Navigation Company
General Information
In 1822, the very first cruise line, known as the Peninsular Oriental Steam Navigation Company, was
founded by Brodie McGhie Willcox and Arthur Anderson, both experienced in the shipping industry.
Its first ship was the 206 ton paddle steamer called the William Fawcett, which was first deployed in
1835 from London to Spain and Portugal. More recently, in the 1960 s and early 1970 s, three of the
world s largest cruise lines were established. The first one, Norwegian Cruise Line, was introduced
when airline travel was becoming increasingly popular. The cruise industry declined significantly

Caribbean owns 7 of the 10 largest cruise ships in the world. Its newest cruise ship, Anthem of the
Seas, has the most innovative technology onboard such as skydiving and a 360° view of the ocean.
Has the cruise industry evolved over the past years?
The cruise industry has definitely evolved over the years to meet the changing demands and
expectations of its passengers. The most important changes in the industry over the years are the
introduction of shore excursions, new cruise routes and changes in the ships themselves. The first
cruise ships offered few to no excursions while all the modern cruise lines offer over 100 excursions
per cruise. These excursions can include participating in an actual boat race in Philipsburg, climbing
waterfalls in Ocho Rios and scuba diving which is always very popular among passengers. They are
designed to give the passengers a new and thrilling experience that they cannot attain at home. In the
old days, the only cruise routes available were transatlantic and small European routes. The
transatlantic route became unpopular in the 1960 s as air travel shortened travelling time from less
than 20 hours by air versus four days by cruise. However, with the launch of newer,

  • 5. The Food On Biola University Is All Provided By Bon Appetite The food on Biola University is all provided by Bon Appetite. In the beginning, I did not know that Bon Appetite s food was Certified Humane so I decided to show support of humane treatment of animals by going on a vegetarian diet. Since I could not go off campus to buy Certified Humane groceries nor could I really afford buying healthy groceries, I decided to go vegetarian. I did the vegetarian diet for two weeks and obtained protein through nuts, beans, and peanut butter. When I was participating in the diet, I realized how common meat was a part of the dishes served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was often a central part of a dish, and meat was always served for every meal. While protein is an essential part of a healthy diet, the amount offered is more than needed. After this exercise, I am willing to consider giving up chicken or pork. I also definitely suggest going on a vegetarian diet for at least a week or two to experience what it is like. I gained a broader perspective when I did this diet and learned how vegetarians got their protein, why vegetarians did their diet, and obtained a common ground to discuss about with vegetarians or vegans. I find that a vegetarian diet is a lot easier than a vegan diet. Perhaps one should participate in a vegetarian diet for a week and then a vegan diet for another week. In addition, to fully understand the purpose of such diet and effects of such diet, one should perhaps journal their experience, note down what they would ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Forces will protect Japan from belligerent attack from outside aggression, as well as giving assistance to put down large scale internal riots and disturbances inside Japan. Article Two states that Japan will not grant any military bases or other rights, powers, or authority in relation to military bases, or the right to garrison or allow transit of any force to a third power without the consent of the US. Article Three refers to the conditions of how armed forces between the US and Japan will be administered. Finally, Article Four states that the treaty will expire when both the US and Japan are satisfied that security and peace can be maintained by either the UN or other collective security agreements. The peace treaty was fairly generous to Japan. It did not necessarily have to pay heavy reparations to the US, nor did it have any post treaty supervision of the state. Japan s economic recovery was put at the top of US interests, which allowed Japan to enter the US markets, which Japan highly favored as it hoped to become an economic power. Without the need to build military force for security, Japan would be able to devote all of its resources to its economy. Simultaneously, the US pressed Japan to have greater trade with other Asian and Pacific countries. Having the US stamp of approval did ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. Marching Band Research Paper Why was I cursed with the passion to learn what was called the Universal language of the world. My intentions with music arose from a young age in a middle school band when I was given a trumpet after being rejected a saxophone. I was as good as a middle school musician. Even so, my middle school band director chose me along with a few others to represent the school in a regional 6th grade honor band. To be declared as outstanding (or as outstanding as a middle schooler can be) musician was different enough that it sparked an obvious passion in me. My older brother was a school year ahead of me and was also being recognized for his achievements in band which allowed me to have a close incentive to be better. To get into Honor band after the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When I entered High school it was a completely different experience. I used to play sports, why was marching band so demanding of me? An immediate change was present in the level of musicianship needed to be recognized above the others. My band director s name was Ms. Mello but she was beyond mellow when she was judging our musical capabilities. She was a great friend but would tear kids apart when it came to musicality or standing out of form in marching band. Luckily for me, I was one of the few middle school musicians who practiced somewhat in middle school. I was recognized as a great musician for a freshman in high school. During the concert band season, there were two bands. The advanced group, the wind ensemble, and the beginner group, the concert band. I admit that there was another freshman trumpet player who made the Wind Ensemble when I did not even bother to audition. Jenkins describes convergence as the flow of content between multiple media platforms, industries, and the migratory behaviour that is present throughout the media audience (2). He explains that convergence is a necessity because it describes technological, industrial, cultural and social changes that are present in our technological society. That being said, Jenkins analyzes the relation between media convergence, participatory culture, and collective intelligence. This shows how the growth of convergence culture increases by relying heavily of the consumer s active participation in order to succeed. Jenkins talks about how the consumption of media products is a collective process, in other words, the collective intelligence is seen as an alternative source of media power. He describes how within popular culture, the collective meaning making is shaping and changing the ways religion, education, laws, politics, advertising and how the military operate (4). Jenkins discusses a process called convergence of modes , he explains that media and communication are becoming interconnected like the telephone and television. Overall, Jenkins is interested on the impact convergence has on popular culture, however, considering the process of convergence of modes, he recognizes that popular and political cultural are beginning to blur. Like cultural, both new and old media alike are begging to blur and evolve, while delivery technologies become obsolete and get replaced. Spaying and neutering your animal can not only help with the overcrowding in shelters but can actually be beneficial to your home and pets. Male dogs and cats when un neutered have a tendency to mark their property. When they mark their territory it can lead to a very unpleasant smell in and around your home. Have you ever walked a dog and noticed them peeing frequently on fire hydrants, trees, corners or certain sections in the yard? This would be your male animal stating that he is a male. • 30. Book Review of The Face of Battle by John Keegan Essay THE FACE OF BATTLE John Keegan, the author of The Face of Battle is allowing the reader to view different perspective of history, from the eyes of the soldier. Although by his own account, Keegan acknowledges, I have never been in a battle. And I grow increasingly convinced that I have very little idea of what a battle can be like. Keegan scorns historians for pointing the finger of failure after an evolution occurs and not examining the soldier s point of view while the battle is transpiring. Keegan chooses the three well documented campaigns of Agincourt in 1415, Waterloo in 1815, and Somme in 1916 to answer the question of his thesis: To find out how men who are faced with the threat of single missile and multiple missile ... King Henry V sought to regain some French territory lost in the Hundred Year War and set out on a 120 mile journey to Maisoncelles where the English came head to head, or 300 yards, with the French. The English bowmen enticed the French to action and when the French responded they were met at the English line which consisted of three groups and archers on the right and left. Keegan goes on to tell of how the different groups of warriors affected each other: the archers versus the cavalry and infantry, the cavalry versus infantry, and infantry versus infantry. The worse effect must have been on the French soldiers that after the order was given to kill all survivors unless they were rich, noblemen, or worth a ransom. The third chapter, titled Waterloo, June 18th, 1815 , skips ahead four hundred years to Waterloo in 1815 after Napoleon returned from his exile in Elba to face the Prussians and the British soldiers. Keegan gives an extremely thorough look at the battle evolution and breaks the timeline down into five phases: diversion, weakening the center front with artillery, further weakening the center front with cavalry, infantry attack, Prussia reserve arrival and Napoleon s defeat. Keegan goes on to describe how no soldier on either side would have been able to view the entire battlefield and how the events of combat for eight straight hours, after already going through a skirmish with the ... In the changing digital landscape, new opportunities to innovate through the embracing of e tailing have meant that retail stores are no longer geographically limited, but the rise of e tailing provides it s own set of unique challenges to bricks and mortar retailing. This literature review will succinctly analyze and evaluate the effect that e tailing has had on traditional bricks and mortar retailing, by looking at the ways in which the bricks and mortar retail stores have had to develop their retailing strategy in an increasingly digital world. Across the extant literature three themes were consistently detected around the effects online retailing has had on traditional bricks and mortar retailing, in the forms of the responses of physical retailers to this digital shift in the sector; fight it, use it or embrace it by fully integrating it into an ongoing strategy. Each of these themes is discussed below. Context The digital revolution is responsible for the largest societal shift in history the rapid rate of consumer uptake in the use of internet as a new technology beats the adoption of other technological developments significantly. • 34. Boston Red Patriots Essay Founded on September 7th, 1630, Boston was one of the largest cities in North America, and was also a hotbed for revolutionary Patriots in the late 1700 s. Yet very little meaningful fighting happened around this area, despite its size, and the some 28,000 men in and around it. It was because of the Continental Army s lack of discipline, trained officers and adequate equipment, and the British force s laziness around orders and lack of enthusiasm for going on the offensive that made the Siege of Boston an avoidable, and pointless stalemate. On one side of the siege, were the Patriots who made up the young and scrappy Continental Army, a mixture of untrained northern militias, southern auxiliary infantry units, and the occasional group of Native Americans, who all joined together in their hate of the British. The hate alone was not enough to give the Patriot s victory and a wide range of shortcomings and failures made this body of men ineffective. This ragtag group of individuals had very little equipment to start with. Most of the men would bring their own firearms from home, but they had little in terms of normal materials for an army camp, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The southern withdrawal was the aftereffect of a longstanding battle over the issue of subjection, and particularly the issue of slavery s venture into the western domains. Long stewing, this issue initially turned out to be really troublesome with the Missouri emergency regarding the affirmation of that state as a slave state in 1820. Settled, as different emergencies including servitude, by a political trade off, the emergency from numerous points of view set the phase for future confrontations over the issue. The expansion of the cutting edge American Southwest through the Mexican War prompted another emergency, this time over the issue of California s affirmation as a free state ...
