• The secondary audience will be
around 20-40 year olds, so
adults would want to watch this
because its linked to the other

• Definition-the hypodermic needle theory is
where media producers add there beliefs to
something and then they put it out to a mass
audience so then they get to believe something
that maybe is wrong
• Example if elderly people struggle to get out of
the house then they might result into social
media and then they might get to believe
something that is false.
Uses and Gratifications Information
• To find information and news you might use google or any search platform
e.g. bbc to find the right info you want. Or if you follow the person on
twitter to find new updates for the info.
• To find advice or help with decision making you could go on google and
google what you advice for and then you can find out what you want
• To satisfy your curiosity you will google it to find out the info what you are
curios about
• If you want to learn about something then you can search it on google or
face book to find out what you need.
Uses and Gratifications Personal
Identity
• The way people may watch things and
represent there values to other people e.g.
friends and family. People may develop
different behaviour by watching the films or
programs. If they develop a violent behaviour
it might of come from films such as dead pool
and other violent films
Uses and Gratifications Integration and
Social Interaction
• If people become unsociable by
watching/playing video games they might
develop problems identifying with others
outside of games but it might be easier for
them across games. Or instead they might
socialise with their friends across social media
(snap chat or messenger)
Uses and Gratifications Entertainment
• People might use entertainment for
enjoyment. This might mean that they prefer
to entertain them self's but watching films or
playing games better then other things like
going out with friends it might be better for
them to play games together.
Consumer Generated Content
• Example
– YouTubers- they upload videos to YouTube to generate
money for the amount of views they get per video
• What are the advantages to media producers?
– The advantages are that they can make media for people
to watch also they can make clothing for people to buy and
then that’s another way they can make money
• Why would the audience generate content?
• Because people like the content and people will want
them to make more content for them to watch and
then they will get more money and more views for the
content that they produce
