A Very Brief Biography of Albert Einstein
To become a scientist is not an easy path. You start from zero and have to start making people believe
in you. That is one of the hardest task you have to do as a scientist but along come other task. You
have to go through a lot of experiments and trial and error. People may start believing your thoughts
and equations. The fact that they believe them does not make you a scientist until you can prove your
theory. Albert Einstein for decades had the best thoughts but was not consider a scientist until he had
physically proved his theory.
Albert Einstein was considered a middle class Jew. He was born March 14, 1879 in Württemberg,
Germany. Albert Einstein family relocated to Munich, Germany and he began to go to school there.
When he was a going to school things that got his attention were math, science and music. Even
though he was interested in those subjects he dropped out of school 1894 as, many teens do. Then
relocated himself in Switzerland in 1902 were he ended up going back to school. When he began
going to school there he started to take a science course. Einstein father passed away thinking his son
was a disgrace to the family.
Albert Einstein was a ladies man he would play his violin at ladies lunches and cocktail parties.
Although, he was a ladies man he fell in love with the only girl in his physics class. During these
times many parents opposed to their child marriage and Albert Einstein parents were one of them. His
parents were against that marriage

Challenger Shuttle Explosion Speech
To highlight a real world example, President Ronald Reagan s Explosion of the Space Shuttle
Challenger Address to the Nation speech represents an elegant expression of both mourning and
reassurance following a traumatic experience. On January 28, 1986, the President delivered this
poignant yet encouraging address to a heartbroken nation. The citizens of America were distressed
over the recent morning Challenger shuttle explosion. Thus, it was Reagan s ultimate objective to
soothe a grief stricken, deeply anguished people. The President understood the precarious position the
United States space program balanced upon; therefore, his speech additionally aims at protecting
NASA s dependable status and unrestricted capabilities within the country.

Analysis Of Jhumpa Lahiri s Novel The Namesake
Jhumpa Lahiri s novel The Namesake (2003) is a culture oriented, more precisely, a Bengali diasporic
culture oriented novel. As a diasporic novel it represents the diasporic themes like displaced,
dislocated and deterritorised feelings of the first generation expatriates like Ashima Ganguli, the
female protagonist of the novel; assimilated, translational and transcultural tendency among the
diasporic people, especially among the second generation immigrants in the novel like Gogol Ganguli,
Sonali Ganguli and Moushumi Mazoomdar; a feeling of nostalgia towards the natal/imaginary
homeland by the first generation expatriates like Ashima Ganguli; the community feeling among the
diasporic people; the familial, human relationships within a diasporic family in a diasporic land and
other traits. Ashima Ganguli is moored in diasporic land with her feelings of rootlessness/uprooting/re
rooting/tracking root and also finds routes to discover her at home in many homes in the world. The
Bengali diasporic cultures are amalgamated dexterously in the texture of the novel. Lahiri s The
Namesake was adapted as a film in 2006, released on March 9, 2007, following screenings at film
festivals in Toronto and New York City. The film is directed by an Indian born filmmaker Mira Nair,
living in the US. Sooni Taraporevala adapted the novel into a screenplay. The film received positive
reviews/acclaims from American critics and won Love is Folly International Film Festival (Bulgaria)

Aboriginal Stereoptype
Aboriginal Stereotypes
Janyce McKee

Introduction
In our society, we have placed a lot of negative beliefs or stereotypes on the first nations communities.
We have given them stereotypes such as, the lazy Indian , the uneducated Indian , the dumb Indian and
the drunken Indian . In this paper I will discuss the stereotype of the drunken Indian . I will highlight
where the drunken Indian stereotype came from and why it exists. I will explain what this stereotype
means and the impact it has on first nations communities. I will also discuss how this stereotype has

They gave her something for anxiety and restrained her to the hospital bed because she kept getting
out of her bed to throw up. She died in that hospital due to infection in the abdomen and was portrayed
as a drunken Indian so did not get the medical help she needed for her gun shot wound (Peters, H.
Sels, B., 2005). This is a clear example of the meaning of the drunken Indian stereotype.
How the Stereotype Effects the Health and Well being of Children
I believe that having the drunk Indian stereotype will greatly affect children, families and
communities. For a child growing up in a community with the belief in the stereotype that all first
nation people are drunken Indians would cause that child to have low self esteem. If these children
were teased at school by their non aboriginal peers this would have a negative effect on the child as
well. These children who already have low self esteem could turn to alcohol and drugs as a way of
coping with the feelings they have about themselves.
Parents of these children who have survived the residential schools don t know how to cope with
everything they have lost and everything they have been through. They have turned to alcohol to mask
their emotions. Over time as these children were taken away from their homes and put into residential
schools they were losing the chance to parent their children. All they know is

Bolivar, By Simon Bolivar
When Hugo Chávez was seventeen years of age, he joined the military in Venezuela and embraced his
country. When we speak of Chávez, there were many before him who influenced the man he wanted
to be and became. Chávez and most of Venezuela admired greatly Simón Bolívar, Simón Bolívar was
a
South American soldier who was instrumental in the continent s revolutions against the Spanish
empire. After France invaded Spain in 1808, he became involved in the resistance movement and
played a key role in the Spanish American fight for independence. In 1825, the Republic of
Bolivia was created in honor of the inspirational leader, hailed by many as El Libertador (The
Liberator). He died on December 17, 1830 in Colombia (Simón Bolívar). Bolívar was a globetrotter
and was a huge and crucial component to the revolutionary movement in South America; he resisted
the Spanish in many fronts and battles and succeeded.
Bolívar is the most significant character in South American history; he is seen as a hero and liberator
who brought independence to the people of South America and united them. Further, the military of
Venezuela remains to resemble Bolívar s influences and his guidance. Chávez as a child was brought
up with the teachings and history of Bolívar and this gave him great perspective of a ruler. Venezuela
was a significant oil exporter and in the 1980s, there was a reduction in the prices of oil. This affected
Venezuela considerably.

Snake
Throughout this whole 20th century, the values in our society are changing all the time. Compared to
now, towards the end of 20th century, some of the ideas introduced in the early century are very
different. D.H. Lawrence s Snake is one of a group of poems entitled Birds, Beasts and Flowers
written between 1920 and 1923. It tells of how Lawrence reacted when he saw a snake while he was
living in Sicily. The poem can be interpreted in three different ways.
The first possible theme is the idea that the natural, instinctive person is superior to the civilized
person and that civilization robs people of their capacity for happiness. Jean Jacques Rousseau began
this idea often referred to as the noble savage in the 18th Century and ... Show more content on

He feels horrified, showing his fear of being buried under the dark ground.
And as he put his head into that dreadful hole,
And as he slowly drew up, snake easing his shoulders, and entered farther,
A sort of horror, a sort of protest against his withdrawing into that horrid black hole,
Deliberately going into the blackness, and slowly drawing himself after,
Overcame me...
He tries to stop the snake entering the hole by throwing the log, showing his desire to avoid death.
His regret for throwing the log shows that he accepts that he must die. He sees the snake as a lord of
life like Pluto and thinks that death may be a wonderful though frightening experience.
For he seemed to me again like a king,
Like a king in exile, uncrowned in the underworld,
Now due to be crowned again.
And so, I missed my chance with one of the lords of life.
Lawrence uses the metaphor of the Underworld to represent death again in one of his last poems,
Bavarian Gentians, in which he shows a greater acceptance of death and asks for a gentian to be his
dark torch to guide him through the Underworld.
Reach me a gentian, give me a torch!
Let me guide myself with the blue, forked torch of this flower
Down the darker and darker stairs, where blue is darkened on blueness
Even where Persephone goes, just now, from the frosted September
To the sightless realm where darkness is awake upon the dark
And Persephone herself is but a voice

All-Majors Career Fair Job Analysis
Last week I attended the Kennesaw State University All Majors Career Fair. This event took place in
the Dr. Betty L. Siegel Student Recreation and Activities Center. I had several tables that I wanted to
visit. However, there three recruiters that I received signatures from were Peace Corps, Kohl s and
Bright Horizon Family Solutions. I believe that each of these job opportunities could use a Psychology
major. I say this because psychology can be applied to nearly every job.
The Peace Corps table had a recruiter by the name of Todd H. I came to this booth because a huge
aspect of this company is to gain leadership experiences. I believe that I could gain more experience in
this department because leadership is not one of my best qualities. ... Show more content on

I recognize that I don t have the most professional look at this point in my life. Having a tattoo on my
left forearm and a side shave can be a hit or miss in the work field. Some in employers can view it as a
way to add character or diversity to their company. While others may turn their nose up at the sight
and immediately reject me on the spot. In this situation, jobs that involve psychology directly would
most likely not accept this look. I struggled with accepting this and attempted to hide my less
professional aspects. I washed my hair so that I could flip my part in an attempt to cover my side
shave. Even though it was hot in the gym, I still wore a sweater that covered my tattoo. These
precautions actually made me feel less confident and created more self conscious thoughts. I had to
constantly remember not to tuck my hair behind my ear or push my sleeves up my arm. Both of these
actions would result in exposing my unprofessional tattoo and hair. I also feared that I would become
noticeable sweaty because a room full of college students, interviewing for future jobs can heat up
even the best air conditioned room. I was also self conscious about that fact that I had recently bitten
my nails. Believe it or not, but a lot of recruiters pay attention to even the tiniest of details, such as the

Technology Of Health And Fitness
With the use of wearables such as smart watches, more specifically the Apple Watch, the potential for
innovation in the realm of health and fitness is unlimited. As more and more customers move to

consumers, health and fitness technology continues to advance and offer more for capability for
consumers. While our pulse and body movements tell the watch how hard we re working out, there are
many other features to look forward to. For one, medical alerts would help users know when their
blood sugar is low and if they need to seek medical treatment for an irregular heartbeat. In other
words, smart watches will get a lot smarter in the years to come, maybe even scheduling or calling the
hospital for us. Yet another fantastic step would be to partner with fitness companies such as LA
Fitness, Soul Cycle or Planet Fitness to create apps where members can keep track of their workouts,
sign up for classes and receive membership notifications. The app offering would provide a feeling of
motivation and exclusivity for smartwatch owners. These wearables already are, and are continuing to

Functionalist Theory Vs Conflict Theory

1. Summarize the key difference between functionalists and conflict theories of deviance.
In our society, the functionalists and conflict theorists are always hard at work. Their approach to
understanding society is very different from each other. A functionalist tends to take a theoretical
approach, seeing society as an interlocking structure. This structure is designed to supply the needs of
everyone in the society. On the other hand, a conflict theorist looks at a society in a last man standing
point of view. They see the society as constantly competing for resources. Therefore, when it comes to
deviance, they take two different stances on the situation. When one thinks about ... Show more

Many controversies reflect disagreement between those who maintain a traditional definition of the
family as a household anchored by a married, heterosexual couple and those who conceive of families
more broadly. (Gerson) The once common heterosexual married couple with kids is being replaced by
same sex couples, cohabiting couples, and single parents, which are all common place across the
United States. Along with these changes comes the gender role changes of both parents working
outside of the house, which was very untypical 30 40 years ago. The traditional family is disappearing,
Growing family diversity has prompted analysts to question the empirical accuracy of structural
functional theories. (Gerson) Single parents are also on the rise, with numbers climbing daily, years
ago single parents were only single because of being widowed. Same sex couples were the least
common of all, and are still not extremely prominent, however, they are on the rise. Cohabiting
households were also very uncommon, many people believed it wrong to live with someone before
marriage, therefore people often lived at home or alone until they were married. Same sex couple were
simply non existent, and are just now legally able to marry; and they are still facing a lot of
controversy over this new found right. What was once so common, is no longer common at all. With
time, the idea that a family must consist of a married male and female

Multiculturalism And The American Culture
Multiculturalism promotes cultural diversity and is supported by many educators in the United States.
Educators tend to favor multiculturalism because it seeks to understand and appreciate different
cultures. Multicultural education seeks to reduce social conflict between minority groups because it
allows the majority (Americans) to have a better understanding of the nations vast amounts of diverse
cultures. In relation to the English only laws, it sees the notion of multiculturalism as undermining
American traditions and history. They tend to favor cultural literacy, in which schools teach and
empathize American values in the educational system. Multiculturalism developed as a result of the
opposition to the melting pot regarding the American identity and the increasing amounts of
immigrants that arrived to the United States. In this concept, immigrants melt into the American
culture in which they renounce their pervious cultural identity in order to become true and loyal
Americans like language and cultural practices. As generations go by, many immigrants lose their
cultural traditions and adopt the American culture. The salad bowl theory on the other hand, regards
foreign cultures in a positive light. Various ethnic groups are tossed together in a way in which each
cultural group keep their own identity while co existing with one another to preserve their distinctive
cultural norms.

On How the Artists of the Romantic Period Chose to React...
Throughout this assignment we will be taking a look at how artists during the Romantic period, that
took place around the 18th and 19th centuries, choose to react against the approaches and philosophy
established by artist during the age of Enlightenment. We will take a look at a few obviously Romantic
artworks to help us better our understanding of this fascinating movement.
To understand how Romanticism has rejected, or reacted to, the Enlightenment, we first need to take a
look at what artists believed during the Enlightenment era. According to Fred S. Kleiner, the
Enlightenment, which took place during the first part of 18th century, brought with it a new way of

they painted and for who. Artist now had to produce art that were liked by the masses, as they
competed in this new market place, where massive quantities of art was on display.
Before looking at artworks from Henri Fuselli, Théodore Géricault and William Turner, we will first
take a look at the roots and origins of the romantic period. Romanticism was born when the Industrial
revolution had already been in full force over most of europe. The industrial boom and the synthetic,
man made landscapes that came with it, had major influences on the romantic world. Romanticism
gave them a taste for the natural, the foreign (exotic), and the emotional, according to Paul Brians
(Public.wsu.edu,1998). Romantics, unlike Neoclassical artist of the previous age, choose to shift the
emphasis from reason to feeling, from calculation to intuition and from objective nature to subjective
emotion according to Fred S. Kleiner (Fred S. Kleiner Gardner s, Art through the Ages,2013,pg 762).
Romantic artist were very interested in what the previous ages saw as The Black Ages. Romantic artist
saw beauty in this and choose to refer to it as Gothic Romance. In simpler terms one can say that they
were interested in the Middle Ages as a choice of subject matter, according to Paul Brains

Informative Speech On Racism
Racism is like an epidemic in that it is spread by communities and affects thousands of lives every
day. It is shown through speech and actions from the age range of children to elders. When in effect,
racism can become violent and flip lives upside down. Fast forward past all the civil rights movements
and efforts to halt racism, and today s society still has an abundance of racism. Eradicating racism all
together has been the goal since the beginning of time, but I believe to make people aware of actual
damage it causes is the best way to advocate how wrong this discrimination is. One of the most
impactful program I have seen to spread awareness of racism is the television hit series titled Switched
at Birth . During the specific episode, a select group of white students placed cotton balls throughout
the lawn of the Black Student Union. Since these said students were white and rich, they got away
with it. This lack of punishment from authority for such a horrendous act created an uprising within
the Union. Not only did they peacefully protest, but one member went on a hunger strike to gain
attention. The school refused to partake in the expulsion of the students and requests of equality from
the union, so the one member continued her hunger strike. Soon after this refusal of acknowledgment,
the said member was sent to the hospital as she had passed out and almost lost her life. Even after this
event, the school wanted to ignore her actions and keep the students.

Chivalry And The Codes Of Chivalry
The broad shouldered and muscular knight stood before his king, ready to take fealty. His sword
glistened from being wiped clean of battle. The knight was well known and honored throughout the
kingdom. These males made different vows to protect their country. There were ceremonies for these
affirmations. They had special clothing for battle and everyday living. One part of this was because of
the codes of chivalry. Chivalry has been around for centuries. Knights like those of the middle ages
had many responsibilities and made vows to ensure their commitment to the codes of chivalry.
Chivalry has a long background and a deep meaning. Coming from the French term horse soldiery

These knights and their kin were also restricted from wearing cloaks (Mortimer). If the knights
obtained more than 400 marks of land then they had more privileges. The family could dress at their
will. Though they could not wear weasel or ermine fur (Mortimer). It s safe to say there are many
codes of chivalry and ways of living for these medieval knights. There were still numerous other little
and odd rules of these people. Even more rules applied when they took upon avowals.
Knights made several kinds of vows to their kingdom, country, and people of the city. However, they
would make these vows on behalf of their kings or lords. The men who took oaths were then called
fidelis, meaning faithful man in Latin (Biel). These pledges became common by the year 700. When a
knight took a feudal oath of lifelong loyalty to their king, it was called an oath of homage (Biel).
Consequent to these oaths, the knight owed his life to his leader until death. That doesn t mean he was
treated poorly. They were given gifts that many people would only dream of receiving. Knights that
took vows were offered gifts like armour, horses, fine clothing, a home at the castle, and produce from
the land. Prized knights were even offered land. These gifts were called benefices. It soon became
mandatory for knights to take their vows. Over a period of time, these oaths began to change.
During feudalism unexampled oaths took place. The feudalism time period took place between the
years 900 1500.

Mountaintop Removal Case Study
Introduction
Today, the extraction of natural resources takes on many different forms. Mountaintop removal (MTR)
is one approach applied in the Appalachian region of the United States for the extraction of the
resource coal. MTR approaches the coal from the top of the mountain by blasting away the layers of
rock above the coal seams and scraping away the layers of coal. This process leaves behind effects to
the surrounding environment including flooding, contamination to water and air, health impacts, and
ecological impacts. In response to these effects the community members most affected have taken it
upon themselves to raise their voices in protest. This form of environmental justice challenges the

The suit against the coal company became known as Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition v. Aracoma
Coal Company. This lawsuit involved four permits issued by the United States Army Corps of
Engineers, allowing for certain mountaintop mining processes at four mining sites in West Virginia.
OVEC alleged that the Corps violated the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) by failing to
adequately assess the environmental impact of the valley fills, by improperly limiting the scope of the
environmental assessment, and by ignoring evidence regarding the cumulative effects of valley fills on
the environment (Clark, 2008, p. 146). Much to the surprise of these coalition groups on March 2007,
the district court found in favor of OVEC and held that the Corps failed to comply with the CWA and
NEPA when it issued the four permits. The court further noted that a CWA Section 404 permit may not
be issued if the Corps fails to comply with its own guidelines and with NEPA when making a finding
of no significant impact. The court remanded the permits to the Corps for further consideration in light
of its findings. The court also rescinded the four permits, enjoining the Corps and Intervenors from
taking any action under the challenged permits. On appeal, the Fourth Circuit reversed the district
court s order and held that the Corps did not violate the CWA or NEPA in

The Plight Of Young Males Analysis
The war against males
In the essay The Plight of Young Males written by Saul Kaplan, the author has discussed that while
the male gender s evolution has come to a near standstill, there has been significant development on
the female side of education in recent years. I agree with the author in every point that he has
discussed in his article. Kaplan has mentioned in his article that the male s future is not very bright, as
with the contemporary type of schooling system, it has been made for admission not for success,
which is not the best for students.
Although it is very important to support the empowerment of women, we shouldn t forget about what
is happening in the other side with males. Males are facing a lot of issues and impediments that are
preventing them from succeeding in the society. For many years women s groups have protested that
boys have more benefits from the school s regulation than girls do, but now girls are experiencing a
kind of psychological foot binding. Over the past decade in the American education, boys were
annoyed about being obstacles on the path to gender justice for girls. This perspective has been
indorsed in schools by teachers as they feel that girls need more protection. It is obvious that males are
the leaders in our society and in most of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kaplan has stated in his article that the statics for the male education is diminishing in a surprising
way in many groups, including further and higher education like collage. Schools have currently
utilized an old fashioned method of a one size fits all type education, that I am really disappointed
about. Instead, schools need to shift themselves more to focus on the individual desires of all enrolled
students to be better and ready to face the real world. Kaplan have mentioned a lot of points that some
people thinks that they are overrated, but In my opinion I think they aren t.

Every kind of media has there own bias that they put into the news that the station is reporting. They
will use words and images that bring your mind to a certain political party. Some people can see that
the media is slanted left on the political scale but others do not see it. What people need to do is to
identify the words and terminology that the media is using to see if there is any bias involved. People
also have a problem when they read an article and read it like it is the only truth. When people do this
their reaction may be different than if they knew what kind of bias the author had. In Bernard

The Haskalah Movements
The Haskalah was an extensive intellectual movement amongst the Jews of Central and Eastern
Europe, with a certain influence on those living in Western Europe and Muslim lands. The Haskalah
advocated integration of the Jews into their surrounding societies encouraging among other things the
adoption of local vernaculars, secular studies and economic productivity the movement was
considered a Jewish cultural revival.
In the nineteenth century there was an increase in the laxity of religious practice, Zionism also began
to take root which led to the attraction to Haskalah in Eastern Europe. However, unlike in eastern
Europe the main challenge faced by the Jews of eastern Europe at the start of the modern period was

The Role Of Women During The Patriarchy Society
The roles of women during the Patriarchy Society influenced feminism throughout Shelley s novel.
Each individual woman in Frankenstein fulfilled a different role, therefore being seen in a unique way
through the eyes of society in the story. This can be displayed through the actions of Agatha towards
Felix when the monster states, Soon after this the young man returned, bearing on his shoulder a load
of wood. The girl met him at the door and helped relieve him of his burden (page 97). This illustrates
feminism through the view of the woman feeling that it was her duty to help the man of the house.
Feeling that she needed to assist Felix, Agatha demonstrates the role that women play in a feminist
environment. These specific roles are positively viewed through the eyes of each individual, as seen
when Safie recalls the memories of her mother. The monster narrates, Safie related that her mother
was a Christian Arab, seized and made a slave by the Turks; recommended by her beauty, she had won
the heart of the father of Safie, who married her (page 110). He states how the young girl spoke in
high and enthusiastic terms of her mother, who born in freedom, spurned the bondage to which she
was now reduced (page 110) which in turn clearly illustrates how much Safie adores her mother. The
role of feminism in this situation is positive due to the viewpoint being from another woman.
Similarly, this role is also displayed when Justine stands trial for the murder of Henry Clerval.

Innovations Needed for Deep Space Exploration Essay examples
It is within man s blood and nature to explore, and space is our next New World. Man s first
achievement in space travel was the launch of the Sputnik on October 4, 1957. For the next decades,
space travel was roaring like a rocket, fueled by man s desire to explore, man s desire for knowledge,
and man s desire to beat his enemies. However, these impulses have died out as the well of
government funding has been diverted to wars and debts, and the interest of the American people has
been diverted to wars and debts. Amidst all these issues it is debated as to whether or not space travel
is worth the money and the attention of scientists, particularly since humanity faces so many issues on
earth currently. However, because of the past ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Outside of the desire to win, it was an immensely interesting idea to get people into space. The
thought held awe, inspiration, and desire Man was able to go to space, but only if we try, and by golly,
we will. The final reason was not as evident to the public, but still important. Because of space travel s
popular support, scientists were able to flex their creative muscles with seemingly perpetual funding
while being cool doing so. This brought the best minds together and allowed them to open up to ideas
previously thought impossible, especially with the recent advent of electronics. Not only was it
possible to send a rocket into space, it was possible to send a man into space in fact it was possible for
man to go to the moon. Even further, unmanned vehicles could rove around on the surface of Mars,
and in the future unmanned probes would even escape our solar system. All that changed. The hype of
the space bubble did not immediately burst, but instead slowly leaked out, starting after reaching the
moon, the anti climax of the space station, and finishing out with the collapse of the Soviet Union.
There was no competition, we had achieved our goal, and the flow of money was starting to be
noticed. Debts, politics, and wars gained more focus and attention both economically and popularly.
As a result, attention towards space travel dwindled. The National Aeronautics and Space

Research Paper On Sandra Day O Connor
Kaylee Mackey 10/1/17 Liebrecht p. 5 Sandra Day O Connor I think that Sandra Day O Connor was a
big part of history and feminism. She is one of the biggest female figures ever. Without her, a lot of
women wouldn t have the inspiration to be as great as they can and do whatever they want in life. She
inspired so many people to get where they are. Sandra Day O Connor was the first woman to join the
supreme court. She was born in El Piso, Texas on March 26th, 1930. She grew up in Arizona on the
family s ranch and wrote a memoir about her childhood called Lazy B: Growing up on a Cattle Ranch
in the American SouthWest in 2002 when she was still working for the Supreme court. When she was
old enough to go to school, she moved in with her grandmother in El Paso, where she was born, to go
to a private school. She went to Stanford University and was on the Stanford Law review then
graduated, third in her class in 1950 with a bachelor s degree in economics. She got her law degree
two years later, in 1952. Sandra Day O Connor obviously worked really hard to get where she got and
she was very smart because she was in near the top of her class at Stanford where everyone is very
serious and competitive. She was above most boys which proves that a girl can be just as smart as a
boy. A long time ago women weren t even allowed to go to school and here she is graduating at
Stanford at the top of her class. This shows people that girls can be just as smart or even smarter than

The Relevant Theories Of Advertising
2.2.2. Relevant Theories of Advertising When discussing within the advertising sector, a universally
praised model must to mention is AIDA model. Lewis (1898) first proposed the concept to describe
the steps of consumer behaviour that occurred from the time when a consumer first became aware of a
product or brand through to when the consumer tried a product or made a purchase decision (Priyanka,
2013). The model had four psychological stages including awareness, interest, desire, and action
(Hassan et al., 2015). It was a useful formula to help marketers develop effective communication
strategies as well as to understand how consumers respond to advertising. However, AIDA model was
generated in the environment where advertisers took ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The fundamental factors that were identified to develop the psychological processes include
perception, learning, memory, thinking, emotion and motivation (Sternberg 1996). Following the
structure of the SOR model, Howard first (1969) proposed the consumer decision making model
(Richarme, M., 2005), which was further developed to be the Theory of Buyer Behaviour (Howard et
al., 1973). The model considered environment stimulus as variables impacting consumes, and was
triggered from various sources. These inputs included core elements of products such as price, quality
that the buyer truly confronts (Loudon et al., 1993) as well as symbolic stimuli resulted from
advertising. Besides, social stimuli including family, peer and other reference groups also influence
consumers before entering the decision process (Foxall 1990). In contrast, Engel et al (1995) did not
focus on environmental factors, but paid more attention to the hypothetical construction of the
decision process that was the main organism being influenced by inputs. The entire organism was
structured around a seven point decision process: need recognition followed by an internally and
externally information search, the evaluation of alternatives, purchase, post purchase reflection and
disposal. Aligning with Howard (1973), mainly two factors significantly affected these decisions.
First, market stimuli affected consumer s information process which was

Descriptive Essay About Puerto Rico
One of the most interesting and exciting places I have had the pleasure of visiting was the Island of
Puerto Rico. Getting on the plane and arriving on the island was the easy part, but learning to navigate
the island and getting reliable transportation was a whole other ball game.
Once I got off the plane and exited the airport I knew I was going to face some challenges with
transportation. The island is small, but is home to 3.6 million people so it is very crowded and busy. If
you have ever been to New York City and waited for the train at a subway station that is what leaving
the San Juan airport was like. I had not thought to set up a taxi or bus service before I arrived so I
began to walk away from the airport. Eventually I made it to a bus stop. As I was waiting for the bus I
noticed that people were not very cautious while driving. Small dilapidated vehicles were swerving in
and out of lanes while blowing on their horns and the public transportation followed suit. By the time
the bus arrived I was almost positive walking would have been a safer route to my hotel room, but I
hesitantly got on the bus. The buses cost one U.S dollar to ride any were in the city of San Juan but
they do not accept dollar bills, I did not have coins on me. Thankfully the bus driver was very kind
and let me ride for free.
The trip to the hotel room was about an eight mile journey, which took almost two hours to complete.
As I sat on an unfamiliar bus in a strange new city I began to

How Did Gender Ideology Affect The Atlantic Slave Trade
The Atlantic slave trade changed gender ideology, altered the relationships between men and women,
and also gave rise to racism in the Americas. Throughout the New World, gender ideology was deeply
shaped by developing racist assumptions. (101) Each region we read about was affected by infestation
of Europeans in many ways, most beginning with economic shifts. When the Spanish began settling in
the Americas, they brought with them a myriad of problems for the Native people. They brought
diseases completely unheard of to the Natives, they brought plants that eventually overran the native
plants, they brought animals that killed off native species, they brought new, unwelcome religion and
government. All of luggage brought across the Atlantic had devastating results on both the Native
Americans and the land. This, however, is only the beginning of the devastation that comes to many
peoples over the course of the Atlantic slave trade. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Health and Social Care Level 3 Unit 2 Essay
Musab Omar Unit 2 ID No 20235744 Know Discriminatory practices in health and social care
Discriminatory practice in health and social care happens for many reasons including some important
factors that are normally the cause of discriminatory practice for example a person may be
discriminated against because on the basis of their diversity. One important discriminatory practice is
because of culture. A person s Culture is important to them and identifies who they are in the world. It
is developed within the social group they are raised in, and can change when they are mature enough
to decide for their selves what culture best suit them. In addition respecting a person s culture is ...

Another important discrimination practice in health and social care is the age of an individual. Age
discrimination happens when someone is treated unfavourably because of their age, without
justification, or is harassed and victimised because of their age. Age discrimination also happens when
someone is denied something because of their age, for example there were controversies regarding
giving older people drugs because of their shorter life expectancy, due to their age. Some people have
argued that the money would be better spent on drugs for younger people. This is a massive
discrimination against older people. An example of age discrimination in a health and social setting is
that someone might not be provided a certain service because of their old age for example if they
apply for a job as a nurse they might refuse their application because of their old age. This is a type of
discrimination in a lot jobs but this was an example from a health and social service. Social class is
another important type in which discrimination is based upon. Our social class is apparent from the
place where we live. The higher the class, the better the place is kept and maintained. This inequality
has also infiltrated health and social care. For example members of the department of health
publication claim that the poor are more likely to get cancer than the rich, and their chances of
survival are lower too. However at the

The Vulnerabilities And Cyber Kill Chain
A. ICS Vulnerabilities and Cyber Kill Chain
1. Reconnaissance Summarize plausible active gathering, passive gathering, and active reconnaissance
techniques that the adversary could have executed to gain intelligence on the target in the scenario.
Reconnaissance is the act of collecting background research necessary to identify and select targets.
(1) Cyber reconnaissance is an important stage of a well organized cyber attack, and is also one of the
most time consuming activities. This phase can exploit the information gathered about the target s
weaknesses. The type of information the hacker is looking for is how to actually get in: firewall ports
that are open, network hosts, services that are running. Critical information that should be obtained
during the reconnaissance phase include network information, host information, security policies, and
human information.
Active reconnaissance is a type of computer attack in which an intruder engages with the targeted
system to gather information about vulnerabilities. (2) This type of information gathering involves
doing something on the target network, which could potentially be tracked back to you. The idea of
this phase is to gather IP addresses, subnet masks, network topologies, user names, operating systems,
firewalls, password requirements and change frequency.
Passive reconnaissance is focused more around public information and not engaging with the targeted
systems. Typical passive reconnaissance can include

Analysis Of Swift s The Sun Of The Eighteenth Century
Swift s Neoclassical Classic
The sun of the Eighteenth century shines brilliantly on the era of British wealth and power, filling
every part of great British life with pride and confidence. British literature, no longer stoic and
medieval is revitalized and reclassified. As in the early Renaissance days Restoration authors think
highly of Classical literature. Unlike their predecessors however, they are freer with classical style and
prose. In one such restoration work, patterned after early Greek and Roman Cynics, author Jonathan
Swift Calls the British Isles to action with an unprecedented solution to the problem of poverty; and
exemplifies neoclassical literature in satirical style, sordid subject, and solid structure.
Satire is one of the distinguishing marks that makes A Modest Proposal a classic example of
Neoclassical Literature. In his use of Satire Jonathan Swift was undoubtedly influenced by Greek and
Roman cynics who criticized the status quo. Like some of these cynics, instead of offering a
reasonable and moral solution to a social problem, Swift captures the attention of the Irish people by a
proposition of cannibalism. Describing his proposal Swift writes, A child will make two dishes at an
entertainment for friends and when the family dines alone the fore or hind quarter will make a
reasonable dish and seasoned with a little pepper or salt will be very good boiled on the fourth day
especially in winter. In statements like this Swift use the power of

Analysis Of George Orwell s Everyday Life
From writing in our diaries to reporting on major political wars, we use words to express our ideas and
spread news. However, what if those very same words were the source of dishonesty and lies in the
world today? In his essay Politics and the English Language, George Orwell explains how language is
used to hide facts that may sound displeasing to the public, while in his text The Psychopathology of
Everyday Life (1901), Sigmund Freud proves how language is used to hide unacceptable thoughts
deep within our minds. Orwell and Freud hold different opinions on what language is used to hide due
to their differing historical contexts, but they both conclude that language, in its current state, cannot
be trusted.
Orwell offers several reasons as to why the English language is in decline, but his analysis of political
writings and misuse of phrases best concludes how and why the language cannot be trusted. As he
describes the writing, he emphasizes the euphemisms and bad habits that stem from it. He states,
When there is a gap between one s real and one s declared aims, one turns as it were instinctively to
long words and exhausted idioms, like a cuttlefish spurting out ink. Orwell explains how speakers tend
to lose the meaning of their own words when resorting to long words and exhausted idioms. Orwell
takes advantage of his position as the author and expresses his thoughts in a didactic manner. He uses
the third person point of view to point out a mistake that many

Action Research Is Way Of Learning Things With Different...
Action Research is way of learning things with different types of means. Some learn new things by
doing it (O Brian, 1998). It could be through collaborative inquiry, participatory research, action
learning or through contextual action (O Brian, 2001). Basically, Action Research involves group of
people working towards the same goals. For example, the company X created a group of 5 people to
figure out the problem the company is facing such as to figure out ways that caused poor performance.
In this case, they should identify what the major problem is, take steps to gather data and information,
analyze them and work together to come with the best solution. Once they come up with the plan, they
use that to see if their efforts are good enough to solve the issues. In this case, management decides
whether it s successful or not. If they are unsatisfied, they can ask the group to try again (O Brian,
2001). In Action research, the researcher and the client work together in order to meet or achieve the
targeted goals (Padak, 2015). There are different stages associated with this research such as
identifying questions what are the major issues that need immediate care, collecting data and
information from various sources so that one can understand what the real problem is. The real
problem can only be found if you do immense research, analyze all the data and information and share
the results with others in the research team (Padak, 2015). Action Research is a name that covers a

An Introduction to the Game of Golf

Golf: An Introduction to the Game with an Emphasis on the Last Twenty Five Years
Abstract
The game of golf has changed ever since its creation in the 1400 s. Yet of all the changes in the game
most of them have come within the last 25 years. Golf has developed and changed so much in the last
25 years that players and spectators alike can barely keep up with this new style of play. Research
demonstrates some of the basic elements of the game, as well as most of the developmental changes
the game has gone through in the last 25 years. Jeff Mashos, a former P.G.A. professional, gives his
insight on the game and the changes he has seen in recent years. For golfers and golf spectators this is

First the golfer might produce a swing that is considered an open to open swing path. This occurs
when the club face starts out to the right of the target line and never leaves that position. The other
swing the player could produce is a square to open swing path. This is when the club face lines up
with the target line at the beginning of the swing and then finishes open of the target.
On the other hand Aultman describes that when a player hits the ball to the left, his swing path could
either be a closed to closed path. Which occurs when the club face has a left facing angle of the target
line and never leaves that point. The other swing a player could produce is square to closed path. Just
like the square to open path the club face starts on the correct plane, but it closes on impact with the
golf ball (Aultman 27). Both of these problems can be fixed by finding the right kind of swing, as
Rick Smith puts it in his book How to Find Your Perfect Golf Swing.
Smith, a tour professional, gives seven aspects that make up the golf swing. First, he describes the
Human Instinct, what naturally comes to the players minds when they step up to hit the ball.
Second, The Physical Condition, or a golfers ability to swing the club along the correct plane, from
the beginning to the completion of their round. Third, he presents the concept of Misperception. Many

Elo Boosting and the Impact it has on High and Low Level Play in League of Legends (Draft 1)
Ranked queue in League of Legends provides competitive players an arena in which they can test and
hone their skills against other like minded opponents and see how skilled they are relative to the rest
of their region and fellow gamers. It is a great environment for players who thrive in a competitive
atmosphere and players of all ranks receive some sort of reward, with larger rewards earned the higher
one s rank is. The most competitive players, who are often the highest ranked, earn prizes often in
cash, gaming hardware worth a significant amount of money or in game currency, glory and possibly
even a career. Unfortunately, there are a good amount of individuals that wish to bypass the trials of
ranked play and attain rewards that they themselves cannot earn. As in any competitive environment,
cheaters will inevitably exist and League of Legends is no exception. Those that do not wish to endure
the stress of ranked or are unable to climb with their own skill will cheat. This form of cheating in
League of Legends, called elo boosting, is highly frowned upon by the community and its developers,
is a punishable offense, undercuts the skill necessary to attain certain ranks and degrades the
sportsmanlike and competitive nature of the game at all tiers and divisions of the game.

Morals, Values, And Ethics
Morals, values, and ethics are conditions which represent a person character, view of their society, and
culture. Morals and ethics are two principles that are similar in that it includes how decision are made
either good or bad (Remley Herlihy, 2016). As a future, mental health professional, it is essential to
have sound judgement when making decisions that will ultimately impact clients. We will review
morals, ethics from my perspective.
Influence
Being raised to have strong faith, courage, honesty and integrity were some of the many values taught.
Always make the right decisions and choices in any problem or circumstance. Our household provided
compassion, love, care, kindness, and correction. Having integrity taught me to always do what was
right, because I believed it was right, and not from a place of distress. There is a saying treat others
how you would want to be treated , this was a major part in my family upbringing. Being raised in an
environment where respecting someone privacy, not interrupting a conversation, and lending a helping
hand helped me to become a responsible person in life. Having self awareness, helps to know who I
am, when it comes to being bias, convictions and making the right decisions. There will be times
when doing what is right seem uncomfortable. However, the mental health profession allows me to act

The Geographies Of The Iroquois And Iroquois Tribe
Before 1492, when Columbus sailed the ocean blue, there were many tribes living in North America.
Two equally similar and different ones were the Iroquois tribe and the Cherokee tribe. On one hand,
they are similar because of their geographies and their economies. On the other hand, they are
different because of their cultures and religious beliefs. The geographies of the Iroquois and Cherokee
tribes are alike in multiple ways. For instance, the Iroquois lived in the Northeast region; they lived in
New York and near Ontario River, Canada and along the Saint Lawrence River. The Cherokee tribe
lived in the Southeast region and in parts of Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, mostly. This
means that both the Cherokee and the Iroquois tribes lived in the East. Additionally, the Iroquois tribe
got around by walking and using canoes. The Cherokee tribe travelled on foot, wagons, and boats.
This shows that both tribes walked and used boats to transport themselves from place to place. In
summary, the geographies of the Iroquois and Cherokee are similar in a numerous amount of ways.
The economies of the Cherokee and Iroquois tribes are similar in many ways. For example, according

The National Association of Radio and Television
Over the years,
The National Association of Radio and Television Broadcasters
The National Association of Radio and Television Broadcasters (formerly known as the National
Association of Broadcasters) is a trade association of the radio and television industry, organized in
1923. The NARTB provides industry services relating to labor, public and government relations,
engineering, research and legal developments. On May 1, 1955, membership included 1,234 AM
(amplitude modulation) stations, 327 FM (frequency modulation) stations and 3 national radio
networks, Columbia Broadcasting System, Mutual Broadcasting System, and National Broadcasting
Co., Inc. On the television side, the National Association of Radio and Television Broadcasters had
267 television stations as members and all 4 national television networks, American Broadcasting Co.,
Columbia Broadcasting System, DuMont Television Network and the National Broadcasting Co., Inc.

Activities leading to the adoption of a code for television were begun simultaneously with the

compliance with code standards.
The code is printed in booklet form and includes a preamble, section on advancement of education and

The Concert At Alice Tully Hall
Throughout the semester, I went to several concerts, some classical in nature, some more popular, and
even a bit of house music made by DJs which was not really my style. One of the concerts that took
me out of my comfort zone the most was performed by a Juilliard Orchestra and conducted by
Juilliard faculty member, Jeffrey Millarsky.
The concert took place at Alice Tully Hall, a Lincoln Center concert venue. It is not as large as
Lincoln Center s opera house, but still a sizable space and it was quite full. The audience was
comprised mostly of older adults, many of whom were probably aficionados of classical music, or of
Lincoln Center shows in general. There were also some students there to support their classmates,
some of whom were talking loudly behind me about how they had fallen asleep at the last show Jeff
had conducted. There were also likely some family members who were supporting specific students.
For example, I noticed how important the night must be for the first violinist and her family as I
watched her shake hands with the conductor, and later the viola soloist, this was the culmination of
years of work. Then there was me, who did not really fit into any of the other categories of audience
members. Fortunately, it was nothing like a high school show where someone might notice you do not
belong. It was professional.
Even the room was such a professional feeling space. One of the loudly talking kids talked about how
he loved the way sound cut in Tully and

Life With A Stranger Vs. Living With A Stranger
Life with a stranger can be hard, but don t give up hope too fast Taking on college classes will be
difficult, but there is one other challenge people tend to forget about. That challenge is moving in and
living with a complete stranger. Some people will have a great time getting to know a new person, but
some will hate it. With my help, you will survive life with a roommate. Talk with them beforehand. If
it is possible to reach them on social media of any sorts try and talk to them. Maybe they went to your
school, but you never really talked to each other. This can help in a lot of ways. Planning out room
arrangements ahead of time can help a lot. Knowing who is going to bring a certain thing and who is
going to bring another. We went to high school together, said Xavier Thomas. Get to know them. Talk
with them and get to know them better. Ask them about their hometown and how it was. Find out his
or her favorite activities. Learn from them and have friendly conversations. Figure out what they like
and don t like. Find out their top foods, vacation spots, movies, colors, music and other things about
them. Hanging out with your roommate can be a very effective way of building a good bond. Try
going out to eat or watch a movie. Maddie Lancaster likes having a roommate because of the
companionship. When asked What is the biggest upside of having a roommate for you, Maddie
replied, Always having someone to talk to. Communicate effectively. Talk to them if something he

That is one of the hardest task you have to do as a scientist but along come other task. You have to go through a lot of experiments and trial and error. People may start believing your thoughts and equations. The fact that they believe them does not make you a scientist until you can prove your theory. Albert Einstein for decades had the best thoughts but was not consider a scientist until he had physically proved his theory. Albert Einstein was considered a middle class Jew. She died in that hospital due to infection in the abdomen and was portrayed as a drunken Indian so did not get the medical help she needed for her gun shot wound (Peters, H. Sels, B., 2005). This is a clear example of the meaning of the drunken Indian stereotype. How the Stereotype Effects the Health and Well being of Children I believe that having the drunk Indian stereotype will greatly affect children, families and communities. For a child growing up in a community with the belief in the stereotype that all first nation people are drunken Indians would cause that child to have low self esteem. If these children were teased at school by their non aboriginal peers this would have a negative effect on the child as well. These children who already have low self esteem could turn to alcohol and drugs as a way of coping with the feelings they have about themselves. Parents of these children who have survived the residential schools don t know how to cope with everything they have lost and everything they have been through. When we speak of Chávez, there were many before him who influenced the man he wanted to be and became. Chávez and most of Venezuela admired greatly Simón Bolívar, Simón Bolívar was a South American soldier who was instrumental in the continent s revolutions against the Spanish empire. After France invaded Spain in 1808, he became involved in the resistance movement and played a key role in the Spanish American fight for independence. In 1825, the Republic of Bolivia was created in honor of the inspirational leader, hailed by many as El Libertador (The Liberator). He died on December 17, 1830 in Colombia (Simón Bolívar). Bolívar was a globetrotter and was a huge and crucial component to the revolutionary movement in South America; he resisted the Spanish in many fronts and battles and succeeded. Bolívar is the most significant character in South American history; he is seen as a hero and liberator who brought independence to the people of South America and united them. Further, the military of Venezuela remains to resemble Bolívar s influences and his guidance. Chávez as a child was brought up with the teachings and history of Bolívar and this gave him great perspective of a ruler. Lawrence s Snake is one of a group of poems entitled Birds, Beasts and Flowers written between 1920 and 1923. It tells of how Lawrence reacted when he saw a snake while he was living in Sicily. The poem can be interpreted in three different ways. The first possible theme is the idea that the natural, instinctive person is superior to the civilized person and that civilization robs people of their capacity for happiness. Lawrence uses the metaphor of the Underworld to represent death again in one of his last poems, Bavarian Gentians, in which he shows a greater acceptance of death and asks for a gentian to be his dark torch to guide him through the Underworld. Summarize the key difference between functionalists and conflict theories of deviance. In our society, the functionalists and conflict theorists are always hard at work. Their approach to understanding society is very different from each other. A functionalist tends to take a theoretical approach, seeing society as an interlocking structure. This structure is designed to supply the needs of everyone in the society. On the other hand, a conflict theorist looks at a society in a last man standing point of view. In relation to the English only laws, it sees the notion of multiculturalism as undermining American traditions and history. In this concept, immigrants melt into the American culture in which they renounce their pervious cultural identity in order to become true and loyal Americans like language and cultural practices. Eradicating racism all together has been the goal since the beginning of time, but I believe to make people aware of actual damage it causes is the best way to advocate how wrong this discrimination is. One of the most impactful program I have seen to spread awareness of racism is the television hit series titled Switched at Birth . During the specific episode, a select group of white students placed cotton balls throughout the lawn of the Black Student Union. Since these said students were white and rich, they got away with it. This lack of punishment from authority for such a horrendous act created an uprising within the Union. Not only did they peacefully protest, but one member went on a hunger strike to gain attention. In the nineteenth century there was an increase in the laxity of religious practice, Zionism also began to take root which led to the attraction to Haskalah in Eastern Europe. • 26. The Role Of Women During The Patriarchy Society The roles of women during the Patriarchy Society influenced feminism throughout Shelley s novel. Each individual woman in Frankenstein fulfilled a different role, therefore being seen in a unique way through the eyes of society in the story. This can be displayed through the actions of Agatha towards Felix when the monster states, Soon after this the young man returned, bearing on his shoulder a load of wood. The girl met him at the door and helped relieve him of his burden (page 97). This illustrates feminism through the view of the woman feeling that it was her duty to help the man of the house. Feeling that she needed to assist Felix, Agatha demonstrates the role that women play in a feminist environment. These specific roles are positively viewed through the eyes of each individual, as seen when Safie recalls the memories of her mother. The monster narrates, Safie related that her mother was a Christian Arab, seized and made a slave by the Turks; recommended by her beauty, she had won the heart of the father of Safie, who married her (page 110). He states how the young girl spoke in high and enthusiastic terms of her mother, who born in freedom, spurned the bondage to which she was now reduced (page 110) which in turn clearly illustrates how much Safie adores her mother. The role of feminism in this situation is positive due to the viewpoint being from another woman. Similarly, this role is also displayed when Justine stands trial for the murder of Henry Clerval. ... Man s first achievement in space travel was the launch of the Sputnik on October 4, 1957. For the next decades, space travel was roaring like a rocket, fueled by man s desire to explore, man s desire for knowledge, and man s desire to beat his enemies. However, these impulses have died out as the well of government funding has been diverted to wars and debts, and the interest of the American people has been diverted to wars and debts. Amidst all these issues it is debated as to whether or not space travel is worth the money and the attention of scientists, particularly since humanity faces so many issues on earth currently. The thought held awe, inspiration, and desire Man was able to go to space, but only if we try, and by golly, we will. The final reason was not as evident to the public, but still important. Because of space travel s popular support, scientists were able to flex their creative muscles with seemingly perpetual funding while being cool doing so. This brought the best minds together and allowed them to open up to ideas previously thought impossible, especially with the recent advent of electronics. Not only was it possible to send a rocket into space, it was possible to send a man into space in fact it was possible for man to go to the moon. Even further, unmanned vehicles could rove around on the surface of Mars, and in the future unmanned probes would even escape our solar system. All that changed. The hype of the space bubble did not immediately burst, but instead slowly leaked out, starting after reaching the moon, the anti climax of the space station, and finishing out with the collapse of the Soviet Union. There was no competition, we had achieved our goal, and the flow of money was starting to be noticed. Debts, politics, and wars gained more focus and attention both economically and popularly. She is one of the biggest female figures ever. Without her, a lot of women wouldn t have the inspiration to be as great as they can and do whatever they want in life. She inspired so many people to get where they are. Sandra Day O Connor was the first woman to join the supreme court. She was born in El Piso, Texas on March 26th, 1930. She grew up in Arizona on the family s ranch and wrote a memoir about her childhood called Lazy B: Growing up on a Cattle Ranch in the American SouthWest in 2002 when she was still working for the Supreme court. Lewis (1898) first proposed the concept to describe the steps of consumer behaviour that occurred from the time when a consumer first became aware of a product or brand through to when the consumer tried a product or made a purchase decision (Priyanka, 2013). The model had four psychological stages including awareness, interest, desire, and action (Hassan et al., 2015). The fundamental factors that were identified to develop the psychological processes include perception, learning, memory, thinking, emotion and motivation (Sternberg 1996). Following the structure of the SOR model, Howard first (1969) proposed the consumer decision making model (Richarme, M., 2005), which was further developed to be the Theory of Buyer Behaviour (Howard et al., 1973). The model considered environment stimulus as variables impacting consumes, and was triggered from various sources. These inputs included core elements of products such as price, quality that the buyer truly confronts (Loudon et al., 1993) as well as symbolic stimuli resulted from advertising. Besides, social stimuli including family, peer and other reference groups also influence consumers before entering the decision process (Foxall 1990). In contrast, Engel et al (1995) did not focus on environmental factors, but paid more attention to the hypothetical construction of the decision process that was the main organism being influenced by inputs. The entire organism was structured around a seven point decision process: need recognition followed by an internally and externally information search, the evaluation of alternatives, purchase, post purchase reflection and disposal. Getting on the plane and arriving on the island was the easy part, but learning to navigate the island and getting reliable transportation was a whole other ball game. Once I got off the plane and exited the airport I knew I was going to face some challenges with transportation. The island is small, but is home to 3.6 million people so it is very crowded and busy. If you have ever been to New York City and waited for the train at a subway station that is what leaving the San Juan airport was like. As I was waiting for the bus I noticed that people were not very cautious while driving. Small dilapidated vehicles were swerving in and out of lanes while blowing on their horns and the public transportation followed suit. By the time the bus arrived I was almost positive walking would have been a safer route to my hotel room, but I hesitantly got on the bus. Age discrimination happens when someone is treated unfavourably because of their age, without justification, or is harassed and victimised because of their age. Age discrimination also happens when someone is denied something because of their age, for example there were controversies regarding giving older people drugs because of their shorter life expectancy, due to their age. Some people have argued that the money would be better spent on drugs for younger people. This is a massive discrimination against older people. An example of age discrimination in a health and social setting is that someone might not be provided a certain service because of their old age for example if they apply for a job as a nurse they might refuse their application because of their old age. This is a type of discrimination in a lot jobs but this was an example from a health and social service. Social class is another important type in which discrimination is based upon. Our social class is apparent from the place where we live. The higher the class, the better the place is kept and maintained. This inequality has also infiltrated health and social care. Reconnaissance is the act of collecting background research necessary to identify and select targets. (1) Cyber reconnaissance is an important stage of a well organized cyber attack, and is also one of the most time consuming activities. This phase can exploit the information gathered about the target s weaknesses. The type of information the hacker is looking for is how to actually get in: firewall ports that are open, network hosts, services that are running. Critical information that should be obtained during the reconnaissance phase include network information, host information, security policies, and human information. Active reconnaissance is a type of computer attack in which an intruder engages with the targeted system to gather information about vulnerabilities. (2) This type of information gathering involves doing something on the target network, which could potentially be tracked back to you. The idea of this phase is to gather IP addresses, subnet masks, network topologies, user names, operating systems, firewalls, password requirements and change frequency. Analysis Of Swift s The Sun Of The Eighteenth Century Swift s Neoclassical Classic The sun of the Eighteenth century shines brilliantly on the era of British wealth and power, filling every part of great British life with pride and confidence. British literature, no longer stoic and medieval is revitalized and reclassified. As in the early Renaissance days Restoration authors think highly of Classical literature. Unlike their predecessors however, they are freer with classical style and prose. In one such restoration work, patterned after early Greek and Roman Cynics, author Jonathan Swift Calls the British Isles to action with an unprecedented solution to the problem of poverty; and exemplifies neoclassical literature in satirical style, sordid subject, and solid structure. Satire is one of the distinguishing marks that makes A Modest Proposal a classic example of Neoclassical Literature. In his use of Satire Jonathan Swift was undoubtedly influenced by Greek and Roman cynics who criticized the status quo. Like some of these cynics, instead of offering a reasonable and moral solution to a social problem, Swift captures the attention of the Irish people by a proposition of cannibalism. Describing his proposal Swift writes, A child will make two dishes at an entertainment for friends and when the family dines alone the fore or hind quarter will make a reasonable dish and seasoned with a little pepper or salt will be very good boiled on the fourth day especially in winter. However, what if those very same words were the source of dishonesty and lies in the world today? In his essay Politics and the English Language, George Orwell explains how language is used to hide facts that may sound displeasing to the public, while in his text The Psychopathology of Everyday Life (1901), Sigmund Freud proves how language is used to hide unacceptable thoughts deep within our minds. Orwell and Freud hold different opinions on what language is used to hide due to their differing historical contexts, but they both conclude that language, in its current state, cannot be trusted. Orwell offers several reasons as to why the English language is in decline, but his analysis of political writings and misuse of phrases best concludes how and why the language cannot be trusted. As he describes the writing, he emphasizes the euphemisms and bad habits that stem from it. He states, When there is a gap between one s real and one s declared aims, one turns as it were instinctively to long words and exhausted idioms, like a cuttlefish spurting out ink. It could be through collaborative inquiry, participatory research, action learning or through contextual action (O Brian, 2001). Basically, Action Research involves group of people working towards the same goals. For example, the company X created a group of 5 people to figure out the problem the company is facing such as to figure out ways that caused poor performance. In this case, they should identify what the major problem is, take steps to gather data and information, analyze them and work together to come with the best solution. Once they come up with the plan, they use that to see if their efforts are good enough to solve the issues. In this case, management decides whether it s successful or not. If they are unsatisfied, they can ask the group to try again (O Brian, 2001). In Action research, the researcher and the client work together in order to meet or achieve the targeted goals (Padak, 2015). There are different stages associated with this research such as identifying questions what are the major issues that need immediate care, collecting data and information from various sources so that one can understand what the real problem is. On the other hand Aultman describes that when a player hits the ball to the left, his swing path could either be a closed to closed path.
