It was more in depth, and it gave each character a back story a life. Understandably, the story was
harmless and all knots untied by the end. Princess Ariel gets the prince, and they live happily ever
after, except that s not how it was told in the original. In fact, in the original the main character s name
was Sirenetta. Ariel has had this obsession with the surface for many years, collecting and gathering
all kinds of objects humans had used. Sirenetta was never allowed close to the sky because she was
not old enough. When she did reach of age, she had to receive a flower so she could breath in
