exported your 2 videos from Premiere and embedded
from YouTube to your blogger
• Make sure you have sent your blog address [NOT the
login page address] to your tutor
• Once your Key film and test music video are exported
and uploaded you can then clean up your files and
delete the footage from the computer or archive to
One Drive
• Then you can begin!

3. Filming - camera
• List and discuss a minimum of 3 areas you found interesting, difficult,
what went well, what was less successful, etc about using the camera.
• I found it quite difficult when trying to find where to change settings
in the menu – it’s not that clear. I should research to find out how to
change the settings.
• I picked up really quickly on how to change the ISO, the aperture, the
shutter speed, the zoom, and the focus. When checking the focus you
should magnify x10 to someone’s face and then toggle the focus.
• I also remembered, clearly, where to put the battery, and the SD card.
This would be very helpful when setting up the camera.

5. Filming - people
• List and discuss a minimum of 3 areas you found interesting, difficult, what went
well, what was less successful,etc about working with others on the test filming.
• Me and Harry Statham had a lot of fun filming the music video because we both
shared our creative thoughts and we adapted them into the video. We also had
fun when recording because funny mistakes were made – bloopers. We talked
between each shot and decided what ideas we were going to involve in the final
video. I have learned to share my thoughts openly because they may be helpful
and effective. We agreed with each other, respected each others thoughts, and
overall worked really well together.
• We shot different parts from different angles to make it a bit more interesting.
We shot at different angles, and heights, when there was a change in lyric or key.
We did this to make the video seem a bit more interesting. It would be pretty
boring if it was just left plain in a front-on view. I think that I need to try to use
the shoulder camera mount, for smoother movement – to move around the focus
point (singer). It may make the video look a lot smoother rather than cutting
between single shots.

well, what was less successful,etc about your editing in Premiere.
• I have never used Premiere before so at first I found it quite difficult whilst editing
the videos. After an introduction with Scott, I understood how to use the
software a lot better. I quickly learnt how to use the software properly – what
things to do, and what things to not bother with. I have learnt how to use
Premiere properly and efficiently.
• I often cut out a few parts of each video that were not needed in the final
outcome which was essential. However, it made it a bit tricky when smoothening
out the transition between the clips. I used this mostly when editing the key
movie, because we left the camera recording when we were changing positions
at the end. When editing the clips, I used the razor tool to separate the parts
needed of the clips, and the parts that were not needed. I then dragged the
leftover parts together to try to line them up with a steady transition. I will use it
again because it is a very important thing to do when editing clips. Otherwise, the
clips would be too long and wouldn’t be suitable for the final product.

• I have learnt how to use the software properly when editing clips and
audio tracks.
• I have learnt how to change video formats to use them in different
places.
• I have learnt how to use the different tools constructively when
editing clips.

9. Action Points
• Make 5 action points from the work you’ve done here that you will be
considering and using in your music video project [it could be a
technical aspect with equipment, time management, working with
others, planning, etc].
• Adding effects to transition between certain clips in the project.
• It may be helpful to do record the music video all in one take. It may make it
easier for me when it comes to editing it.
• Using all of the tools and maybe doing something more advanced.
• I should possibly use the shoulder mount when using the camera. It would allow
shooting from different angles, and the ability to move around whilst filming.
• Learning how to do everything (change settings) correctly and confidently
because it may make it better when recording or/and editing.
