Why is team needed ?
What does a team mean?
A team is a collection of people who interact with each
other regularly and are dependent on each other for the
attainment of common goals.
What does a team do?
A team brings together people with different expertise
(strength) and thus enables application of specialized
knowledge in solving problems.
Team building removes hindrances and enhances
organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

Basic Principles of a Team
The key elements of a team are:
1. goal sharing,
2. interdependence,
3. commitment and
4. accountability
The objectives at the Forming stage are:
1. To bind the group, so that they get to know
each other and begin having a sense of
team.
2. To align them to their shared purpose, goals
and targets
3. To establish a positive team culture, the
beliefs, values and norms of behavior
4. To establish the role of the leader
