NOT THE LARGEST IT IS DEFINITELY UP THERE. HOLIDAY’S GOAL IS TO PROVIDE
A SAFE, CAREFREE AND ALL-INCLUSIVE RETIREMENT LIFESTYLE TO ITS SENIORS
AT MORE THAN 300 FACILITIES NATIONWIDE.
3. IMPORTANCE OF A MISSION/ VISION
STATEMENT?
• MISSION AND VISION ARE STANDARD AND CRITICAL ELEMENTS OF A
COMPANY'S ORGANIZATIONAL STRATEGY. MOST ESTABLISHED COMPANIES
DEVELOP ORGANIZATIONAL MISSION STATEMENTS AND VISION STATEMENTS,
WHICH SERVE AS FOUNDATIONAL GUIDES IN THE ESTABLISHMENT OF COMPANY
OBJECTIVES. THE COMPANY THEN DEVELOPS STRATEGIC AND TACTICAL PLANS
FOR OBJECTIVES.
4. GOOD TO GREAT
• CURRENTLY HOLIDAY HAS OVER 300 HUNDRED FACILITIES NATIONWIDE BUT
NOT ALL OF OUR LOCATIONS STAY AT CAPACITY, IT IS OUR GOAL THAT OVER
THE NEXT SIX MONTHS ALL FACILITIES NATIONWIDE WILL BE AT 90% CAPACITY.
5. THE HOLIDAY LAYERS
• HOLIDAY’S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE RESIDENT ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS BASED
ON LIFE-ENRICHING ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS THAT BENEFIT OUR RESIDENTS IN
SEVEN KEY ASPECTS: PHYSICALLY, INTELLECTUALLY, SOCIALLY, EMOTIONALLY,
CREATIVELY, SPIRITUALLY, AND VOCATIONALLY. WE CALL THIS UNIQUE
PROGRAM THE LAYERS OF THE HOLIDAY LIFESTYLE. AS THE NEW ENRICHMENT
COORDINATOR IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO LEAD AND INSTRUCT ACTIVITIES
THAT REPRESENT THE HOLIDAY LAYERS LIFESTYLE
6. HOLIDAY’S ORGANIZATIONAL ANALYSIS
• WHEN IT COMES TO STRATEGIC THE CORPORATE PLANNING AND
ORGANIZATIONAL PLANNING DIFFER. THE CORPORATION FOCUSES MORE SO ON
THE AREAS THAT GENERATE REVENUE WHEN DETERMINING THE BUDGET ON THE
OTHER HAND ROLLING HILLS RANCH HAS TO LOOK AT PLANNING FOR THE
LONG TERM.
7. STRATEGIC DECISION
• THE CORPORATE CENTER ISSUES GUIDANCE TO THE BUSINESS UNITS ON
DESIRED OVERALL FINANCIAL RESULTS AND INVITES MANAGERS TO DEVELOP
MULTIYEAR PLANS. MANAGERS ARE ASKED TO SUBMIT PLANS WITH THE HIGHEST
NET PRESENT VALUE AND TO BID FOR THE RESOURCES THEY NEED TO
IMPLEMENT THEM. EACH BUSINESS UNIT DISCUSSES ITS STRATEGY WITH THE
CORPORATE CENTER, WHICH THEN ADDS UP ALL THE RESOURCE REQUESTS AND
PERFORMANCE PROJECTIONS
8. CONCLUSION
We have the power to be the best retirement home in the nation but we
must first understand that there are no excuses when it comes to being
accountable, and that it’s not up to just the managers to be accountable
we must all be accountable as an organization if we want to maintain a
successful organization. Furthermore ensuring that each facility is meeting
the needs of every resident and adhering to the Holiday layers lifestyle.
