Paper On Aladdin
Aladdin is a Walt Disney movie that released in 1992. The animated movie is based on an Arab style
folktale of Aladdin and the Magic Lamp from One Thousand and One Nights. This movie is based
upon a street rat named Aladdin, who lives in Agrabah with his monkey friend Abu. When a princess
named Jasmine gets tired of being told what to do she sneaks out to the marketplace, where she
accidentally meets Aladdin. Under the orders of Jafar (the sultan s advisor), Aladdin is thrown in jail
and gets tricked into Jafar s plot to rule the land with a mysterious lamp. There is legend that only a
person who is a diamond in the rough (poor) can retrieve the lamp from the Cave of Wonders. Aladdin

B Co 1-12 Cavalry As A Fire Team Leader
I was assigned to B Co 1 12 Cavalry as a dismounted fire team leader when the 1 12 Cavalry deployed
with the rest of 3rd BDE, 1st Cavalry Division in support of Iraqi Freedom in December of 2008. I
deployed a few weeks after everyone else due to a death in the family. Once I finally arrived at the
coalition outpost (COP) where my company was positioned, I quickly fell in with my platoon as they
had already begun their patrolling of our Area of Operations (AO). Our COP was positioned, quite
literally, in the middle of nowhere in the Nineveh Province. After a few weeks of patrolling, our
platoon was tasked with taking over a COP to the north in the city of Hammam al Alil, which is about
30 kilometers south of Mosul. We were taking over an area that was, up to that point, the
responsibility of a Military Transition Team (MiTT). The COP, COP Scorpion, consisted of a small
open area just large enough to park our vehicles, two long rectangular two story buildings that at one
time served as a college dormitory, with a small space to the rear of the second building that served as
a mechanics bay. Around the complex was a 12 15 feet high stone wall, with one entrance on the COP,
with a large metal slab on wheels that was used to secure it. Around the COP was the remains of a
college, which had since shut down and was now being used by the Iraqi Army to house a battalion of
soldiers. We were an American COP right in the middle of an Iraqi Army complex. While conducting

A Beautiful Day In My Life
Five more minutes, I groaned as I layed in my bed one cloudless Monday morning while my mom
annoyingly stood in the doorway of my room, rapidly clapping her hands to wake me up. How late
were you up last night? she questioned as she resiliently clapped. Applications and essays, I told her as
I rolled out of bed. Still working on Georgetown. Georgetown?! It s already been three weeks! I know,
I know. I m putting a lot of effort into this. After all, this is my life, is it not? Although this is a lot of
work... She looked at me as if I had some sort of careless attitude. She was right though; I did. I got
ready for school, went downstairs, and gazed out the window in the living room to see the gorgeous
sunlight shine through the skyscrapers. Beautiful view, I remarked as my mom walked down the open
riser staircase. The tall towers that were scattered across Manhattan stood right in front of my window.
I walked towards the kitchen and grabbed an apple from the fridge. I m very glad you picked this one
out of all the apartments we looked at. Me too, Lucas, my mother assured as I cleaned the alluring
apple under the running faucet on the island, me too. I took a bite into the crisp golden apple. She
asked, Ready for school? Yeah, I guess, I responded. Adios. I sluggishly hauled my five ton backpack
and pulled open the decorative wooden door. Bye! * * * I came home at 2:45 to an hour s worth of

Essay On Genre Analysis
How I approached writing my Genre Analysis:
I approached my genre writing based on Writing in the Health Sciences guidelines for research papers.
Since my chosen paper was a research paper, I looked for the sections in a research paper that
included the abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, and references. This
helped me decide what needed to be in each section so I could elaborate on if it was included or was
not.
How I found my sources:
I started out by going through articles on google scholar and found the one that made me most
interested. I have known people that have smoked during pregnancy and what happened to their child
so I wanted to see if children could potentially have asthma from their mom smoking. ... Show more

Here I also stated if my paper had that convention and if they had any variation in a research paper
regarding to Writing in the Health Sciences. This helped me write my paper because we were to
describe each convention in our genre analysis so it gave me a start. It also helped me analyze the
effectiveness of the genre which was step 4 in our paper. Here in step 4 I think was my most difficult
part in the paper because after gaining your input on that you should not say I believe I understand
why it sounds more confident. I will now write my ideas as such, but then when proofreading go back
and delete it because it sounds better stating why x causes y.
What went well in my Genre Analysis:
After receiving your comment on my genre analysis paper, I noticed that I did have a lot of
information in my paper. I went over the minimum word count because I felt that it was necessary
because I wanted to incorporate the information from the study into my paper. What also went well in
my paper was that I appropriately cited information in APA, which included in text citations and
references. If I did these wrong, I wish you could tell me since from my understanding I did them right
and want to do well on the test paper.
What did not go well in my Genre

Uncovering The Boy From The Porcelain Unicorn
At Least everybody in this world can be courageous. Everybody has been courageous in some way.
Courage can happen any day, any time without anyone even realizing it. People often think courage is
standing up for oneself or helping someone out of home or school, and it can be, but courage can be as
simple as doing something you re afraid to do and then faces your fears and doing it. Characters like
Anne Frank from Diary of Anne Frank, the man from Giving and the boy from The Porcelain Unicorn.
In Giving the man is a good example of courage because he is thoughtful, kind and selfless. The man
from Giving is courageous because he is thoughtful. He is thoughtful because the little kid steals
medicine for his mother and gets caught so the man steps in and buys the medicine for the little boy s
mom. This is courageous because he buys the medicine for the little boys mother even though he didn

Early Childhood Trauma In Children
Early childhood, being 3 5 years old is the stage of childhood that has been chosen for discussion. The
early childhood stage is a crucial time period for healthy development in children. Many
developmental tasks occur during this time of childhood. In an effort to reveal how childhood trauma
can negatively impact a child, I will first describe the stages of development between 3 to 5 years of
age, and then explain how the trauma might impact the child. When we look at typical healthy 3 to 5
year olds, most experience healthy basic milestones for physical, cognitive, social and emotional
development.
First, let us look at physical development. Most children in early childhood have all of their baby
teeth. Most should have developed good motor skills and should be able to run, walk on tiptoes, skate,
have good balance, have an established hand pattern, be potty trained, have established an
understanding of differences in gender, and knowledge of private body parts. In contrast the child who
has suffered maltreatment may have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By the age of 5 most children are in kindergarten. The typical 3 to 5 year olds cognitive development
includes a healthy mastery of language skills, and a keen interest in the world in which they live.
Other key developments such as understanding commands, memory, perception, thinking abstractly,
information processing, improved judgment and perception all occur during development in this age
group. However, many cognitive deficiencies can be seen in children who have suffered from abuse.
Cognitive and language deficits in abused children have been often been noted clinically. Abused and
neglected children with no evidence of neurological impairment have also shown delayed intellectual
development, particularly in the area of verbal intelligence .Some studies have found lowered
intellectual functioning and reduced cognitive functioning in maltreated

Design and the Operational Approach is a process of iterative understanding and problem framing that
supports commanders and staffs in their application of operational art with tools and a methodology to
conceive of and construct viable approaches to operations and campaigns. (JP 5 0, III 1). In the
context of the Mediterranean/North Africa Theater of Operations (M/NATO), using the contextual

Operation Torch was a major operation conducted in the Mediterranean/North African Theater of
Operations as part of the North African campaign during World War II. The U.S. President, Franklin
D. Roosevelt supported the British Prime Minister believing this operation would prevent an invasion
of Europe. In order for the Allies to achieve the desired end state they would need to establish reliable
bases on the coast in the regions of Casablanca, Oran, Algiers, and Tunis. This area was controlled by

Language Reflection
There will be times were the kids were getting restless or acted uninterested in the class and Mrs.
Manner will call them by their names and tell them to pay attention, if the behavior was repeated she
will say something along the lines of ; Mr., this is the second time, I had to call your attention, and that
usually made them stop and listen. When communicating nonverbally, she will open her eyes wide to
show appreciation for answering in a correct manner or will narrow her eyes to tell children to control
themselves.
Afterwards, the children who stayed in the rug will trace the letter assigned and make a picture about
it with Mrs. Manner. Yet the children in the round table with me, will be read a story and I was
suppose to ask them questions about the story and sometimes we had to sing songs accordingly.
Subsequently, my group will later switch to the floor and I will repeat the same lesson to the kids who
were earlier in the rug. Sometimes the whole group will be overly excited and Mrs. Manner will say
Macaroni and Cheese to which the whole group will answer; Everybody Freeze. This usually
refocused the student s attention to the class. Some children will always participate and give accurate
answers, while other students try persistently to disrupt the class.
Moreover, some kids will raise their hands and then give you a personal account of their vacation or
something completely unrelated to the class. Mrs. Manner taught me how to refocus the attention by

Tim Burton s Charlie And The Chocolate Factory
In life, people let society decide what they can and cannot do. This creates a block on imagination and
creativity. A very highly acclaimed filmmaker, Tim Burton, expands widely on this concept in his
films. Burton s films bring common issues in society alive to show the factors that limit our
cultivations. Tim Burton incorporates outcast protagonists and contrasting settings into his theme to
convey the idea that the mind specifically, doubt and lack of imagination is the most significant
limiting force most people face .
Moreover, Burton uses the feature of contrasting settings to emphasize on the lack of imagination you
can find in society. For example, in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, when the children selected to
tour Wonka s factory are standing at the entrance of the bland factory. The gates open up to a very
colorful and cheery opening act. Eye line angles are used to show where the children are looking and
what their emotions are toward certain objects. Many of the kid s faces show judgement and confusion
as to why the interior of the chocolate factory was so child like compared to the very formal exterior.
Nevertheless, the children all look at the factory with such disgust and judgement because it took them
by such surprise. The children expected the interior to reflect the outside of the factory. Bland colors,
formality, etc. The children, who all have greedy qualities expected something less imaginative and
classic. This relates back to lack of

FDR’s Alphabet Soup
After the Stock Market Crash of 1929 and the Hoover administration, something had to be done
regarding the relief and recovery of the Great Depression. This was one of the more important
objectives of Franklin Delano Roosevelt s first term as president. Although Herbert Hoover made
somewhat of an attempt trying to reconcile the country, but he was unable to live up to his rhetoric,
prosperity is right around the corner. Hoover failed to comprehend the extent of the damage of the
stock market crash from a global perspective and simply did too much too fast. When Franklin
Roosevelt came into presidency in 1933, he set out his first hundred day plan. Within the first term,

1) You are in the midst of the first interview with Mr. K., a recently divorced 55 year old man. You

The question that I selected was open ended. My question is opened ended because I am asking my

How The Dol s Fiduciary Rule Will Impact 401
How the DOL s Fiduciary Rule Will Impact 401(k) Plan Sponsors The 401(k) plan is usually at the
back of a plan sponsor s mind. It doesn t renew annually, and it never fights for attention like health
insurance and business insurance renewals do. However, it s time to bring that afterthought to the
forefront. With the Department of Labor s (DOL) Fiduciary Rule, a litany of class action lawsuits and
the fact that 65 percent of DOL audits in 2014 resulted in plan sponsor fines; there is a certain level of
responsibility expected of plan sponsors. The DOL Fiduciary Rule is the byproduct of many of these
class action suits, years of haggling with Wall Street to close loopholes that have existed since 1940,
and the Obama administration s desire to bring objective advice to plan sponsors and participants
alike. Over the next year, before the regulation comes into effect in April 2017, plan sponsors have
important decisions to make, and it s vital to understand what options there are moving forward. How
Will It Affect Plan Sponsors? It s essential for plan sponsors to understand how this new standard will
impact their business practices as well. According to a U.S. Chamber of Commerce issue brief, the
rule affects how investment advice is provided to every 401(k) plan, every IRA, and every rollover or
distribution to or from either. The impact of this reform is sweeping, and given the forecasted
movement of 401(k) and IRA money over the next 20 years, as baby boomers retire, much

Flood risk has increased in New York City due to storm surges and human caused sea level rising,
such as melting glaciers. The sea level has increased drastically from 850 to 1800 between the years of

The continent of Africa provides a home to biodiversity unlike anywhere else. Many endangered
species roam the various biomes that call Africa home. Trophy hunting has been a popular activity for
many decades; many well known individuals such as the Theodore Roosevelt participated. Trophy
hunting is hotly debated within the scientific community; Lucille Palazy, who works for the University
of Paris, introduces this, Trophy hunting is one of the most controversial issues in the field of

Some researchers such as Nuzzo and Traill, who work at Imperial College London and are published
in the African Journal of Ecology, feel as though not enough research has been done on the topic.
Nuzzo and Traill studied data from the years of 1960 to 2011. They conclude, ...[we] cannot draw any
strong conclusions... this research emphasizes the need for population level monitoring programmes,
(Nuzzo, Marcella C, and Lochran W. Traill 253). Conservationists such as Michael Paul Nelson
choose to evaluate the issue through an ethical stance. Nelson introduces an important idea within
conservation, consequentialism. Nelson states, consequentialism is... the end justifies the means...
Consequentialist thinking is common in conservation, (Nelson, Michael Paul, et al. 303). This idea
must be taken into consideration when trying to solve the issue. Other conservationists are strongly
against trophy hunting, such as Peter Lindsey. Lindsey works at the University of Pretoria and
Panthera, a conservation association dedicated to lions. In one of his studies, Trophy Hunting of
African Lions... , Lindsey et al. studies data from the government of South Africa and data on lion
hunting quotas and legal hunting areas. Lindsey et al. produce a firm opinion; ...there remain several
problems associated with the negative management of lion hunting which may perpetuate negative

between wild trophy hunting as opposed to captive bred lions being trophy hunting. Lindsey
summarizes, Some trophy hunting organizations...differentiate between the shooting of captive bred
lions and that of wild lions, (Lindsey, P., et al. 20). This important caveat can skew data collected

Taking a Look at Eurasian Milfoil
Invasive species are organisms that harm a new environment that they are not native to. Many
invasive species like Eurasian milfoil are easily able to reproduce and can do so fast. Due to this, the
limited space in a body of water or area of land is quickly taken over by the invasive species so other
native plants face the risk of death or even extinction. Overall, these invasive species can do great
harm to an ecosystem or an economy, causing problems that are destructive to numerous organisms.
Eurasian milfoil or Myriophyllum spicatum is an aquatic invasive plant that can be found throughout
the Chicagoland area and in surrounding bodies of water. This plant can be a hinderance to swimming,
boating, and fishing because of their thick, tangled stems and mats of vegetation. According to the
Minnesota Sea Grant, Eurasian milfoil also overcrowd a body of water which leaves little room for the
plants native to the Great Lakes. One prediction is that if the Eurasian milfoil is not stopped, a
reduction of biodiversity may result in Chicago and the areas surrounding it. If this was to occur, the
ecosystems of the Midwest region would be significantly impacted in a negative way. As reported by
the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture), Eurasian milfoil, which is native to Europe,
Asia, and Northern Africa, was most likely accidentally introduced to the United States through ballast
water, which is water from other places that is dumped into another body of water to aid in

even lower strategy. For example, Wal Mart is one of the largest companies in the world, and best
known for its worldwide chain of supermarkets. The products sold at those stores can be purchased on
the Walmart.com website, where they can be delivered straight to customer door or picked up at a
nearby outlet. Wal Mart is famous for its low prices. Hence, if Mangler s want to use lower cost

King Lear Nothing Quotes
The concept of nothing in Shakespeare s King Lear is vital to the development of the characters and
the relationships between them. The symbol of nothing represents the fear the characters have of
altering their current status to irrelevant and indigent.
At the onset of the play the concept of nothing is misunderstood as it is oftenly in the entire play, King
Lear and Cordelia use nothing but they both have different ways of using the word which creates the
conflict and leads the plot. As Cordelia tries to explain to her father (Lear) that she cannot put her
feelings for him into words by saying nothing, Lear misunderstands and asserts nothing will come
from nothing. (Act. 1, Scene 1)In the play, King Lear, the quote Nothing will come from nothing , the
symbol of nothing is used as Lear tries to intimidate Cordelia by saying that if she doesn t have
anything to say she will get nothing consequently. Cordelia basically plans to speak authentically and

Analyzing
Impressionism
Impressionists were seen as artists who were challenging normal and accepted concepts of color and
light. Impressionism got its start when certain painters started to use more natural methods of painting
and lighting their work, really straying from the traditional rules of academic painting and art. In 1874,
a group of artists called the Anonymous Society of Painters, Sculptors, Printmakers, etc. put together
an exhibit in Paris, France(4). Subsequently starting the movement which we know today as
Impressionism. Its founding members included Claude Monet, and Edgar Degas among others. The
group was unified and brought together only by its independence from the official annual Salon (the
Salon was the official art exhibition of the Académie des Beaux Arts in Paris. The salon considered to
be the greatest annual art event in the Western world beginning in 1667) (2).
While many conservative critics disapproved of their work for its unfinished and sketch like
appearance, more progressive writers and critics praised it for its depiction of modern life and enjoyed
it for its contemporary subject matter with an innovative, new and different style calling attention to it
by calling it a revolution in modern painting (3) . To further on the style and history of Impressionism
and post impressionism I will be discussing three works of art exhibiting the unique

Healthcare Systems And The United Kingdom
Undoubtedly, healthcare services can maintain or improve both physical and mental health of
individuals and it is crucial for all the citizens. Therefore, a majority want to receive free and
approachable healthcare service irrespective of their social background, age or health status by the
government. However, a well organized and effective free healthcare system is complicated to provide
to the public and the government will face enormous challenges and dilemmas when they authorize
the citizens to access essential healthcare without any charge. This essay discusses two different
healthcare systems in the United Kingdom and the United States and analyses the effectiveness and
efficiency of both free public and private healthcare. It will be argued that the healthcare system will
be more effective if the health care is partially provided by the government free of charge and partly
provided by the private companies.
Firstly, the funding of universal healthcare predominantly comes from the taxation, therefore, it will
burden the taxpayers with heavy taxes; while a small proportion of individual cannot afford the private
health insurance in the private market, thus, two healthcare systems should implement together. In the
United Kingdom, National Health Service (NHS) provides a comprehensive range of health services
to all the residents (Aspalter et al, 2012, p.21), however, numerous of British against a rise in income

Argumentative Essay On Beauty Pageants
In 1854 instead of judging woman or young girls on their looks, Phineas Taylor Barnum began
judging animals on their looks, this was the first beauty pageant. The first swimsuit competition was
held in 1880 at a festival to bring business however, it soon became a summer tradition . Women from
all around the world became interested in them, wanting to be seen as the perfect woman. Currently,
there are 3 different types of beauty pageants, a glitz pageant consists of the contestants wearing heavy
makeup, crystal decorated clothes and wearing slip on veneers. Another type of pageant is named a
semi glitz pageant which is very similar to the glitz pageant , except contestants are not allowed to
wear any hair pieces or slip on veneers. The third type of pageant is referred to as the natural pageant ,
contestants are permitted to wear natural makeup and will be disqualified if any hair piece or slip on
veneers are worn. Each of these different pageants are taken very seriously by its contestants with the
goal in mind of winning the crown. Many contestants will often make drastic or permanent changes,
forced by their guardian or parent(s) if they think they have a better chance of winning. Beauty
pageants exist only to judge girls based on their looks, which can be extremely damaging, both
physically and emotionally, therefore beauty pageants should be prohibited around the world to help
end the constant discrimination and unreal expectations of women and young girls.

Weight Problems In society today, childhood obesity is becoming a growing and alarming concern.
This trend is reflected in the poem Fat Children, by Natalie Day. This is a poem about how hard a
mother found it to stop feeding the hungry mouths of her children. A thoughtful analysis of this poem
reveals a theme about unethically advocating being overweight. This is easily discernible in the
sentence, Even when they smelled of vomit / and diarrhea, I kept feeding them (Day lines 11 12).
Reading on, this theme develops even further in the sentence, I kept baking cakes and frying sausages,

Therefore, it is clear to see that modernly utilized technology is not actually costing the consumer any
more than vehicles from yesteryear. While both sides seem to be at opposite ends of the spectrum on
this matter, they actually share a common interest. The similar interest in this debate is excessive fuel
consumption. Those who proclaim the modern automobile should be a strictly economic and
lightweight machine care about not consuming excessive amounts of fuel by doing away with
unneeded and heavy extras. They also don t want a higher impact on the environment from increased
fuel consumption. Likewise, those who proclaim the modern automobile should not be a strictly
economic and lightweight machine care about preserving the fuel economy as set by their previous
cars. They feel that as long as their current fuel consumption does not decline, they will welcome the
addition of new technology. In the end, although both sides care about and measure excessive fuel
consumption differently, they care about it equally. Since both sides agree to an aversion of excessive
fuel consumption, a great compromise would simply be to use lighter wheel and tire setup. A trend has
been continuing where vehicles are being equipped with increasingly larger wheels and tires (Paula).
This added rotational mass has very serious adverse effects to fuel economy, as tested by Car and

Benefits Of Carbohydrate Restriction For Diabetes And The...
Since two thirds of American adults are currently overweight or obese, doctors find it hard to find the
best diet for their patients. The list of choices and categories is lengthy, with vocal advocates for the
Atkins diet, the Zone diet, South Beach diet, Jenny Craig, Vegan/vegetarian diet, and the cousin to the
Atkins diet the Paleo diet, etc. If any of these diets was sufficiently effective and easily adopted by
Americans we wouldn t be faced with such an obesity epidemic. The truth is there is no simple answer
because everybody is different; doctors should recommend whatever diet the patient can best adhere to
(Louis Kuristzky, MD, 2014). Because being overweight or obese can lead to diabetes and the
inability of current recommendations to control this epidemic has failed. They now see the benefits of
carbohydrate restriction to treat diabetes and the studies are well documented. A low carbohydrate diet
is the first approach to reduce high blood glucose, and lead to the reduction or elimination of
medication without side effects (Richard D. Feinman, 2015). There are concerns about the efficacy
and safety of a low carbohydrate diet that has always surrounded this method of weight loss, but it s

potential negative effects on bone health, renal functions and cardiovascular health. In the matter of

Haig s Reputation as the Butcher of the Somme
In the run up to the war, Field Marshal Sir Douglas Haig was appointed the Director of Military
Training. In an effort to create a reserve standard army which could double up as a home front defence
force, plus a fighting unit for use abroad, he managed to achieve this by pushing for legislation that
lead to the creation of the TA (Territory Army) and the BEF (British Expeditionary Force) which were
to be later used in the war effort in the war to end all wars . Haig is most famously renowned for his

His apparent lack of emotion leads me to how he may deserve the label of being the butcher of the
Somme . This reveals when he says the nation must be taught to bear losses. This heartless attitude
bears resemblance to the rule of Bloody Mary as Queen of England when she persecuted Protestants
in an attempt to bring England back to the Roman Catholic faith. He is also inferred to be a butcher as
he did not stop the men from going over the top when he saw that his particular plan of action was not

Even though the Somme was a terrible disaster, it served in a positive light to be a learning curve for
the British Battalions/Sections/Corps/and generals. With the benefit of hindsight, it showed the Allies
that their was a serious, inadmissible problem in their ranks because how such a mass scale massacre
of men could happen after such a well planned offensive from high up the ranks to Haig himself is a
clerical atrocity. Firstly, the barbed wire pounding was a good idea in theory however it only served to
in practice make the wire entangle so that it was thick to the point that daylight could barely be seen

The Relationship Between Asperger Syndrome And Autism
Introduction The relationship between Asperger syndrome and autism has been a controversial topic in
psychology. There is not a definite correlation which has been decided upon between the two and
chiefly due to the fact that they are both overly similar. Concisely, psychologists seek to identify the
main difference between them. In a simpler way, it is not yet clear whether autism and Asperger
syndrome should be defined as independent (distinct) terms, or whether Asperger syndrome should be
categorized under the wider realm of autism. In their researche, multiple scholars have come upon
differing opinions and theories in support of their own perceptions of the two disorders which either
agree or disagree at some point. Asperger syndrome is derived from Hans Asperger who is highly
recognized for his efforts in defining the disease which many scholars had described as not
diagnosable (Mayes, Calhoun Crites, 2001). Context of research To understand the standoff between
autism and Asperger syndrome, it is important to understand the common basis of the two disorders as
provided by Frith (1991). Autism, which is usually termed as the parent disorder that may give rise to
Asperger syndrome, is a brain abnormality resulting from brain disease, brain insult, or faults arising
from genetic factors. Additionally, it is developmental, meaning that it manifests itself differently
depending on factors such as ability or age. Since the disorder affects the brain, it is termed as a

Nozick s Version Of Libertarianism
Nozick s version of libertarianism says that what is controlled in society should be limited to what are
the essentials to keep society together. A majority of the services and basics that people require to live
can be provided by the private sector and not by the state that lead to unjust in the distribution of
goods and services. The services that should be left to the government according to Nozick s belief are
those of security such as the police and military and the enforcement of common laws. These services
are the basic essentials to what society needs to function with the most liberty being passed on to the
people. The private sector which consist of the majority of the population will be the determining
factor in deciding how services should be best executed to fit their needs and desires. In terms of
distribution Nozick believes that redistribution is unjust for the reason that it is forced labor on the
working people who in most cases do not consent to the redistribution of their wealth. Nozick states in
his view on Libertarianism that People have the right to Liberty which in this case people should have
the liberty to choose how their earnings are distributed. Furthermore, according to Nozick,
Libertarianism should reject the redistribution of personal wealth. This statement is focus more of the

An Emergency Case Of Emergency Involving Chemical Release
Sorensen et al. (2004) states that two questions play a significant role in concluding whether to
evacuate or provide in place shelter in case of an emergency involving chemical release. The first
question to consider is will shelter in place provides adequate protection? And second thing to
consider is if there is enough time to evacuate. There are various advantages and disadvantages of
both the responses (Sorensen et al., 2004). The advantages of instituting shelter in place are that it is:
It is immediate; people are more relaxed in their familiar surroundings and feel secure; and basic
amenities like food, clothing, water, telephone, radio and television are readily available. The
disadvantage is that precise, correct, dependable information is more complicated to receive. On the
other hand the advantages of evacuating are that people are away from the exposed chemicals, and
moved to mass care shelters, plus information is more reliable and medical relief is prompt. Some of
the disadvantages of evacuation are that it is time consuming; evacuees may not listen to the directions
and decide to stay home and some might decide to move to other locations making it very difficult to
track those (Sorenen et al., 2004). Evacuation is usually the last resort considered as it is very complex
and involves various processes. The most important concern is that communities should be well

Mary Queen Of Scots By William Shakespeare
Mary I of England, not to be confused with her cousin Mary Queen of Scots, is most commonly
referred to as one of the most, if not the most vicious and blood thirsty monarchs in English history
and few of them have been given reputations as infamous as hers. Mary was obsessed with the quest
to return England from the Protestant Church of England to its Catholic tradition during her three year
reign as Queen of England. Mary s insistence on creating a Catholic English nation stemmed from
resentment held for her father King Henry VIII s decision to break away and create his own religion,
harboring the Reformation period. These reforms were ultimately reversed under Mary, who was
determined to achieve her goals at any cost. Mary was not afraid to remove anyone who stood in her
path of reform. Fueled by her loyalty and love for the Catholic Church, Mary s reputation and legacy
of Bloody Mary was created as she sought to create her Catholic nation, at the expense of the
hundreds of Protestants that were murdered under her reign. Born on February 18, 1516, Mary Tudor
was the fifth child but the only child of Henry Tudor VIII and his first wife Catherine of Aragon who
survived to live until adulthood (Doran). She was baptized soon after her birth and was raised in the
Catholic tradition of her mother. Mary was sent off by her father to live in Wales, and was constantly
set up for marriages with princes and other nobility. She was taught by an English tutor was a prolific

lives now as they were in the 1940 s. Television in the past stopped at midnight with the singing of
The National Anthem and a test pattern that showed until the next morning. Television now is
available twenty four hours a day. In the beginning, there were only three channels and now we have
access to over 1,200 channels. Television shows in the 1940 s included The Lone Ranger; Hopalong
Cassidy; Candid Camera; The Ed Sullivan Show; Cavalcade of Stars; Texaco Star Theater; Howdy
Doody; Kukla, Fran and Ollie; Kraft Television Theater and Ted Mack Amateur Hour. Candid Camera
was a hidden camera/practical joke show that had hysterical jokes that made everyone laugh. The Ed
Sullivan Show, Cavalcade of Stars, Kraft Television Theater and Texaco Star Theater brought stars
into our homes. Peggy Lee, Irving Berlin, Count Basie, Carol Burnett, Red Skelton, Jackie Gleason,
and Milton Berle just to name a few. Howdy Doody and Kukla, Fran and Ollie were the first television
shows that were aimed at children. Television shows in the 1950 s included Sgt Bilko, Leave It ...

Factors That Led To The Chicago Fire
Chicago Fire:
What factors led to the chicago fire and what effects did they have?
Did you know that the Chicago Fire burned 3.3 square miles and left more than 100,000 people
homeless and killed more than 300 people. The Chicago Fire started on October 8, 1871, by a cow that
kicked over a lantern into dry grass and started a barn fire, which spread quickly throughout the city .
The firemen had a large effect putting out the Great Chicago Fire. The cow kicked over the lantern and
the fire spread quickly because Chicago had almost all wood buildings. The Chicago Fire ended on
October 10, 1871. The firefighters put out the fire but not before almost everything was destroyed and
left almost 100,000 homeless and 300 + dead. The devastation of the fire was so bad, that it cost 200
million dollars to rebuild the city of Chicago and all most every house and factory in it. (History.com)
In 1890, nine years after the Chicago Fire. The population of Chicago grew from about 500,000 to
over 1 million people due to a strong economy and the rebuilding of houses and factories. A month
after the fire Joseph Medill was elected mayor he promised to make better building policies so it
would be safer for families working and living in Chicago. Joseph Medill also made fire safety rules
for the city to help control and put out future fires so it would not devastate or greatly damage the city.
These safety rules would help the citizens of Chicago and the fire department spot fires sooner

Identifying And Identify Two Unknown Bacteria From A Mixed...
For many years the identification of microorganisms has been important in the world of medicine. It is
essential or correct disease diagnosis in patients and for proper treatment. Knowing the correct identity
and characteristics of microorganism is crucial when disease outbreaks occur in populations, also
knowing how humans can benefit from microorganisms is important; many can be used in making
certain foods or antibiotics. The purpose of this study project was to carefully isolate and identify two
unknown bacteria from a mixed culture. The ability to properly evaluate biochemical test results is
also necessary for the identification to be successful. The goal was to apply all of the methods and
techniques that have been learned in the microbiology laboratory course for the proper identification
of unknown bacteria. A certain amount of bacteria that were used throughout the course were possible
bacteria that could be found in a mixed culture. The bacteria that were identified in the mixed culture
were Staphylococcus Aureus and Kocuria Rhizophila. Staphylococcus aureus is the leading cause of
skin and soft tissue infections, it can cause serious infections such as bloodstream infection,
pneumonia or bone infections. Though it can cause infections it is part of the normal human flora it is
mostly found on the skin or in nasal cavities. It is a facultative anaerobic gram positive cocci, it is
usually in pairs or clusters. The bacterium is also catalase positive, oxidase

Why Does Conan Doyle Put So Much Emphasis On Social Class
Why does Conan Doyle put so much emphasis on social class? When it comes to the subject of social
class, this story reminded me of just about every other book we ve read this semester, in the way they
decided to depict the lower class. Both Holmes and Doyle come from a very privileged and educated
background, and had a very bad attitude towards anyone from even a slightly lower class, even though
they relied on the lower classes to do a lot of things for them. They treated the lower classed people as
second class citizens and it really speaks to the time period. For some reason all of our stories have
read include upper middle class people who seemed perfect normal on the outside, but had some really
weird supernatural or crazy thing happen. It makes me think that one thing I could take from these
books is mo money, mo problems. Who s the real bad guy of The Hound of the Baskervilles? ... Show

The main conflict in this story is between the Baskervilles and the curse that haunts them. But the only
thing that is truly haunting them is Stapleton. Stapleton s corrupt behavior comes about in the pursuit
of money and power, reminds me of Heathcliff and his desire to have Wuthering Heights and
Trushcross grange. Stapleton, being a distant cousin of Sir Henry, has his eye on securing the
Baskerville estate for himself, and created all this mess for his selfish benefit: requiring Holmes to
deal with not just the physical threat to the Baskerville heir, but also debunk all the fear surrounding
the hound. So basically when someone in the family comes into some money there will always be a
distant long lost cousin wanting a piece of it. Its surprising how that logic can be applied to both the
time period in which the book takes place, and our current

B Co 1-12 Cavalry As A Fire Team Leader I was assigned to B Co 1 12 Cavalry as a dismounted fire team leader when the 1 12 Cavalry deployed with the rest of 3rd BDE, 1st Cavalry Division in support of Iraqi Freedom in December of 2008. I deployed a few weeks after everyone else due to a death in the family. Once I finally arrived at the coalition outpost (COP) where my company was positioned, I quickly fell in with my platoon as they had already begun their patrolling of our Area of Operations (AO). Our COP was positioned, quite literally, in the middle of nowhere in the Nineveh Province. After a few weeks of patrolling, our platoon was tasked with taking over a COP to the north in the city of Hammam al Alil, which is about 30 kilometers south of Mosul. We were taking over an area that was, up to that point, the responsibility of a Military Transition Team (MiTT). The COP, COP Scorpion, consisted of a small open area just large enough to park our vehicles, two long rectangular two story buildings that at one time served as a college dormitory, with a small space to the rear of the second building that served as a mechanics bay. Around the complex was a 12 15 feet high stone wall, with one entrance on the COP, with a large metal slab on wheels that was used to secure it. Around the COP was the remains of a college, which had since shut down and was now being used by the Iraqi Army to house a battalion of soldiers. We were an American COP right in the middle of an Iraqi Army complex. While conducting our left ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A Beautiful Day In My Life Five more minutes, I groaned as I layed in my bed one cloudless Monday morning while my mom annoyingly stood in the doorway of my room, rapidly clapping her hands to wake me up. How late were you up last night? she questioned as she resiliently clapped. Applications and essays, I told her as I rolled out of bed. Still working on Georgetown. Georgetown?! It s already been three weeks! I know, I know. I m putting a lot of effort into this. After all, this is my life, is it not? Although this is a lot of work... She looked at me as if I had some sort of careless attitude. She was right though; I did. I got ready for school, went downstairs, and gazed out the window in the living room to see the gorgeous sunlight shine through the skyscrapers. Beautiful view, I remarked as my mom walked down the open riser staircase. The tall towers that were scattered across Manhattan stood right in front of my window. I walked towards the kitchen and grabbed an apple from the fridge. I m very glad you picked this one out of all the apartments we looked at. Me too, Lucas, my mother assured as I cleaned the alluring apple under the running faucet on the island, me too. I took a bite into the crisp golden apple. She asked, Ready for school? Yeah, I guess, I responded. Adios. I sluggishly hauled my five ton backpack and pulled open the decorative wooden door. Since my chosen paper was a research paper, I looked for the sections in a research paper that included the abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, and references. This helped me decide what needed to be in each section so I could elaborate on if it was included or was not. How I found my sources: I started out by going through articles on google scholar and found the one that made me most interested. This helped me write my paper because we were to describe each convention in our genre analysis so it gave me a start. It also helped me analyze the effectiveness of the genre which was step 4 in our paper. Here in step 4 I think was my most difficult part in the paper because after gaining your input on that you should not say I believe I understand why it sounds more confident. I will now write my ideas as such, but then when proofreading go back and delete it because it sounds better stating why x causes y. What went well in my Genre Analysis: After receiving your comment on my genre analysis paper, I noticed that I did have a lot of information in my paper. I went over the minimum word count because I felt that it was necessary because I wanted to incorporate the information from the study into my paper. What also went well in my paper was that I appropriately cited information in APA, which included in text citations and references. • 11. Early Childhood Trauma In Children Early childhood, being 3 5 years old is the stage of childhood that has been chosen for discussion. The early childhood stage is a crucial time period for healthy development in children. Many developmental tasks occur during this time of childhood. Most should have developed good motor skills and should be able to run, walk on tiptoes, skate, have good balance, have an established hand pattern, be potty trained, have established an understanding of differences in gender, and knowledge of private body parts. • 15. Tim Burton s Charlie And The Chocolate Factory In life, people let society decide what they can and cannot do. This creates a block on imagination and creativity. A very highly acclaimed filmmaker, Tim Burton, expands widely on this concept in his films. Burton s films bring common issues in society alive to show the factors that limit our cultivations. Tim Burton incorporates outcast protagonists and contrasting settings into his theme to convey the idea that the mind specifically, doubt and lack of imagination is the most significant limiting force most people face . Moreover, Burton uses the feature of contrasting settings to emphasize on the lack of imagination you can find in society. For example, in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, when the children selected to tour Wonka s factory are standing at the entrance of the bland factory. The gates open up to a very colorful and cheery opening act. Eye line angles are used to show where the children are looking and what their emotions are toward certain objects. Many of the kid s faces show judgement and confusion as to why the interior of the chocolate factory was so child like compared to the very formal exterior. Nevertheless, the children all look at the factory with such disgust and judgement because it took them by such surprise. The children expected the interior to reflect the outside of the factory. Bland colors, formality, etc. The children, who all have greedy qualities expected something less imaginative and classic. This relates back to lack of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It doesn t renew annually, and it never fights for attention like health insurance and business insurance renewals do. However, it s time to bring that afterthought to the forefront. With the Department of Labor s (DOL) Fiduciary Rule, a litany of class action lawsuits and the fact that 65 percent of DOL audits in 2014 resulted in plan sponsor fines; there is a certain level of responsibility expected of plan sponsors. The DOL Fiduciary Rule is the byproduct of many of these class action suits, years of haggling with Wall Street to close loopholes that have existed since 1940, and the Obama administration s desire to bring objective advice to plan sponsors and participants alike. Over the next year, before the regulation comes into effect in April 2017, plan sponsors have important decisions to make, and it s vital to understand what options there are moving forward. How Will It Affect Plan Sponsors? It s essential for plan sponsors to understand how this new standard will impact their business practices as well. • 23. Taking a Look at Eurasian Milfoil Invasive species are organisms that harm a new environment that they are not native to. Many invasive species like Eurasian milfoil are easily able to reproduce and can do so fast. Due to this, the limited space in a body of water or area of land is quickly taken over by the invasive species so other native plants face the risk of death or even extinction. Overall, these invasive species can do great harm to an ecosystem or an economy, causing problems that are destructive to numerous organisms. Eurasian milfoil or Myriophyllum spicatum is an aquatic invasive plant that can be found throughout the Chicagoland area and in surrounding bodies of water. This plant can be a hinderance to swimming, boating, and fishing because of their thick, tangled stems and mats of vegetation. According to the Minnesota Sea Grant, Eurasian milfoil also overcrowd a body of water which leaves little room for the plants native to the Great Lakes. One prediction is that if the Eurasian milfoil is not stopped, a reduction of biodiversity may result in Chicago and the areas surrounding it. If this was to occur, the ecosystems of the Midwest region would be significantly impacted in a negative way. As reported by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture), Eurasian milfoil, which is native to Europe, Asia, and Northern Africa, was most likely accidentally introduced to the United States through ballast water, which is water from other places that is dumped into another body of water to aid in ... • 30. Impressionism And Post Impressionism Nicole Hagias Term Paper Art History Renaissance Present November 29th, 2017 Analyzing Impressionism Impressionists were seen as artists who were challenging normal and accepted concepts of color and light. Impressionism got its start when certain painters started to use more natural methods of painting and lighting their work, really straying from the traditional rules of academic painting and art. In 1874, a group of artists called the Anonymous Society of Painters, Sculptors, Printmakers, etc. put together an exhibit in Paris, France(4). Subsequently starting the movement which we know today as Impressionism. Its founding members included Claude Monet, and Edgar Degas among others. The group was unified and brought together only by its independence from the official annual Salon (the Salon was the official art exhibition of the Académie des Beaux Arts in Paris. The salon considered to be the greatest annual art event in the Western world beginning in 1667) (2). While many conservative critics disapproved of their work for its unfinished and sketch like appearance, more progressive writers and critics praised it for its depiction of modern life and enjoyed it for its contemporary subject matter with an innovative, new and different style calling attention to it by calling it a revolution in modern painting (3) . Accordingly, these all appertain to the orb above. Although the former living experience may be remembered here below, it is not done so as it occured. Hence, in the underworld, all things that happened above are of equal value; that is, a murder may be deemed but a friendly handshake to these that dwell below; and regardless of handshake or murder, they are both of no importance now. Therefore, a majority want to receive free and approachable healthcare service irrespective of their social background, age or health status by the government. However, a well organized and effective free healthcare system is complicated to provide to the public and the government will face enormous challenges and dilemmas when they authorize the citizens to access essential healthcare without any charge. This essay discusses two different healthcare systems in the United Kingdom and the United States and analyses the effectiveness and efficiency of both free public and private healthcare. It will be argued that the healthcare system will be more effective if the health care is partially provided by the government free of charge and partly provided by the private companies. Firstly, the funding of universal healthcare predominantly comes from the taxation, therefore, it will burden the taxpayers with heavy taxes; while a small proportion of individual cannot afford the private health insurance in the private market, thus, two healthcare systems should implement together. In the United Kingdom, National Health Service (NHS) provides a comprehensive range of health services to all the residents (Aspalter et al, 2012, p.21), however, numerous of British against a rise in income tax to pay more towards the NHS since the systems are ... The first swimsuit competition was held in 1880 at a festival to bring business however, it soon became a summer tradition . Women from all around the world became interested in them, wanting to be seen as the perfect woman. Currently, there are 3 different types of beauty pageants, a glitz pageant consists of the contestants wearing heavy makeup, crystal decorated clothes and wearing slip on veneers. Another type of pageant is named a semi glitz pageant which is very similar to the glitz pageant , except contestants are not allowed to wear any hair pieces or slip on veneers. The third type of pageant is referred to as the natural pageant , contestants are permitted to wear natural makeup and will be disqualified if any hair piece or slip on veneers are worn. Each of these different pageants are taken very seriously by its contestants with the goal in mind of winning the crown. Many contestants will often make drastic or permanent changes, forced by their guardian or parent(s) if they think they have a better chance of winning. Beauty pageants exist only to judge girls based on their looks, which can be extremely damaging, both physically and emotionally, therefore beauty pageants should be prohibited around the world to help end the constant discrimination and unreal expectations of women and young girls. ... This trend is reflected in the poem Fat Children, by Natalie Day. This is a poem about how hard a mother found it to stop feeding the hungry mouths of her children. A thoughtful analysis of this poem reveals a theme about unethically advocating being overweight. This is easily discernible in the sentence, Even when they smelled of vomit / and diarrhea, I kept feeding them (Day lines 11 12). Reading on, this theme develops even further in the sentence, I kept baking cakes and frying sausages, / even when repulsed (Day 12 13). While this is a very widely known subject, unbeknownst ... While both sides seem to be at opposite ends of the spectrum on this matter, they actually share a common interest. The similar interest in this debate is excessive fuel consumption. Those who proclaim the modern automobile should be a strictly economic and lightweight machine care about not consuming excessive amounts of fuel by doing away with unneeded and heavy extras. They also don t want a higher impact on the environment from increased fuel consumption. Likewise, those who proclaim the modern automobile should not be a strictly economic and lightweight machine care about preserving the fuel economy as set by their previous cars. They feel that as long as their current fuel consumption does not decline, they will welcome the addition of new technology. In the end, although both sides care about and measure excessive fuel consumption differently, they care about it equally. Since both sides agree to an aversion of excessive fuel consumption, a great compromise would simply be to use lighter wheel and tire setup. A trend has been continuing where vehicles are being equipped with increasingly larger wheels and tires (Paula). • 36. Benefits Of Carbohydrate Restriction For Diabetes And The... Since two thirds of American adults are currently overweight or obese, doctors find it hard to find the best diet for their patients. The list of choices and categories is lengthy, with vocal advocates for the Atkins diet, the Zone diet, South Beach diet, Jenny Craig, Vegan/vegetarian diet, and the cousin to the Atkins diet the Paleo diet, etc. If any of these diets was sufficiently effective and easily adopted by Americans we wouldn t be faced with such an obesity epidemic. The truth is there is no simple answer because everybody is different; doctors should recommend whatever diet the patient can best adhere to (Louis Kuristzky, MD, 2014). Because being overweight or obese can lead to diabetes and the inability of current recommendations to control this epidemic has failed. They now see the benefits of carbohydrate restriction to treat diabetes and the studies are well documented. A low carbohydrate diet is the first approach to reduce high blood glucose, and lead to the reduction or elimination of medication without side effects (Richard D. Feinman, 2015). There are concerns about the efficacy and safety of a low carbohydrate diet that has always surrounded this method of weight loss, but it s more conjecture then data driven (Feinman, 2015). He is also inferred to be a butcher as he did not stop the men from going over the top when he saw that his particular plan of action was not working in its current state Even though the Somme was a terrible disaster, it served in a positive light to be a learning curve for the British Battalions/Sections/Corps/and generals. With the benefit of hindsight, it showed the Allies that their was a serious, inadmissible problem in their ranks because how such a mass scale massacre of men could happen after such a well planned offensive from high up the ranks to Haig himself is a clerical atrocity. • 39. The Relationship Between Asperger Syndrome And Autism Introduction The relationship between Asperger syndrome and autism has been a controversial topic in psychology. There is not a definite correlation which has been decided upon between the two and chiefly due to the fact that they are both overly similar. Concisely, psychologists seek to identify the main difference between them. In a simpler way, it is not yet clear whether autism and Asperger syndrome should be defined as independent (distinct) terms, or whether Asperger syndrome should be categorized under the wider realm of autism. In their researche, multiple scholars have come upon differing opinions and theories in support of their own perceptions of the two disorders which either agree or disagree at some point. Asperger syndrome is derived from Hans Asperger who is highly recognized for his efforts in defining the disease which many scholars had described as not diagnosable (Mayes, Calhoun Crites, 2001). Context of research To understand the standoff between autism and Asperger syndrome, it is important to understand the common basis of the two disorders as provided by Frith (1991). Autism, which is usually termed as the parent disorder that may give rise to Asperger syndrome, is a brain abnormality resulting from brain disease, brain insult, or faults arising from genetic factors. Additionally, it is developmental, meaning that it manifests itself differently depending on factors such as ability or age. Since the disorder affects the brain, it is termed as a ... The services that should be left to the government according to Nozick s belief are those of security such as the police and military and the enforcement of common laws. The private sector which consist of the majority of the population will be the determining factor in deciding how services should be best executed to fit their needs and desires. • 41. An Emergency Case Of Emergency Involving Chemical Release Sorensen et al. (2004) states that two questions play a significant role in concluding whether to evacuate or provide in place shelter in case of an emergency involving chemical release. The first question to consider is will shelter in place provides adequate protection? And second thing to consider is if there is enough time to evacuate. There are various advantages and disadvantages of both the responses (Sorensen et al., 2004). The advantages of instituting shelter in place are that it is: It is immediate; people are more relaxed in their familiar surroundings and feel secure; and basic amenities like food, clothing, water, telephone, radio and television are readily available. The disadvantage is that precise, correct, dependable information is more complicated to receive. On the other hand the advantages of evacuating are that people are away from the exposed chemicals, and moved to mass care shelters, plus information is more reliable and medical relief is prompt. Some of the disadvantages of evacuation are that it is time consuming; evacuees may not listen to the directions and decide to stay home and some might decide to move to other locations making it very difficult to track those (Sorenen et al., 2004). Evacuation is usually the last resort considered as it is very complex and involves various processes. The most important concern is that communities should be well planned ahead of time and have an emergency preparedness plan and educate the public about ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Mary Queen Of Scots By William Shakespeare Mary I of England, not to be confused with her cousin Mary Queen of Scots, is most commonly referred to as one of the most, if not the most vicious and blood thirsty monarchs in English history and few of them have been given reputations as infamous as hers. Mary was obsessed with the quest to return England from the Protestant Church of England to its Catholic tradition during her three year reign as Queen of England. Mary s insistence on creating a Catholic English nation stemmed from resentment held for her father King Henry VIII s decision to break away and create his own religion, harboring the Reformation period. These reforms were ultimately reversed under Mary, who was determined to achieve her goals at any cost. Mary was not afraid to remove anyone who stood in her path of reform. Fueled by her loyalty and love for the Catholic Church, Mary s reputation and legacy of Bloody Mary was created as she sought to create her Catholic nation, at the expense of the hundreds of Protestants that were murdered under her reign. Born on February 18, 1516, Mary Tudor was the fifth child but the only child of Henry Tudor VIII and his first wife Catherine of Aragon who survived to live until adulthood (Doran). She was baptized soon after her birth and was raised in the Catholic tradition of her mother. When it comes to the subject of social class, this story reminded me of just about every other book we ve read this semester, in the way they decided to depict the lower class. Both Holmes and Doyle come from a very privileged and educated background, and had a very bad attitude towards anyone from even a slightly lower class, even though they relied on the lower classes to do a lot of things for them. They treated the lower classed people as second class citizens and it really speaks to the time period. For some reason all of our stories have read include upper middle class people who seemed perfect normal on the outside, but had some really weird supernatural or crazy thing happen.
