Child Support Calculated
Whether you are currently involved in divorce proceedings or you have been divorced or separated for
a while, if there are children involved, child support might be an ongoing battle. If you are the parent
getting the child support, you likely want to make sure your children are properly cared for financially.
If you are the parent paying the child support, you want your children to be cared for financially, but
you also do not want to pay more than your fair share for the care of your children. There are several
things you should understand about child support according to Minnesota law.
Who Can Ask for Child Support?
Generally, the custodial parent will get child support from the non custodial parent. This can happen
after a divorce or legal separation, as well as between parents who were never married. If there is a
dispute ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are several factors that go into determining child support payments. This includes both parents
gross income, the number of children, and the custodial arrangement. For example, a parent who has
the child for three days a week will pay less in child support than a parent who only sees the child a
few hours a month. The parent who has the child more often is likely already paying more for the
child s needs and expenses.
When it comes to calculating the actual financial support needed for a child, expenses can be divided
into three categories. The first, basic support, includes things like housing, food, clothing, education,
transportation, and other expenses associated with raising a child. The second area is medical support.
This includes the cost of health and dental insurance and costs associated with medical and dental care
for the child. The final category is child care support, which covers day care costs for the child while
the parents are working. Some of these costs will stay pretty steady throughout your child s life while
others will go up or down depending upon the family s

John Winthrop Model
In 1630, the Arbella carried Puritans from England toward the colonies. Once they had arrived, John
Winthrop took responsibility to teach the passengers the principles of a model society so the future
generations could live well. By following these principles, the community was going to be able to
survive by working together in order to ensure that the community would last. Although America
started with John Winthrop s idea of a model society, this nation is no longer the community that was
envisioned then because the bond between people has been broken by the racism and the selfishness
of most Americans.
In 1630, Puritans, led by John Winthrop, sailed on the Arbella from Boston, England to Salem,
Massachusetts because they were on a holy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
John Winthrop teaches the ones from the Arbella that they must keep their neighbor in mind when
saving extra. Today, most of the citizens work hard just so their family can have enough to be able to
put food on the table. Providing for their neighbor is the last thing in their minds. Some people can
barely provide for themselves let alone an entire family. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics,
the average consumer yearly expenditures was approximately $55, 978 in 2015. From $55,978, around
$29,000 come from housing and shelter. Food adds relatively $7,000, and transportation, education,
and healthcare add around $14,000 ( Consumer ). With all the expenses, the family does not have
enough to spend what is left on the ones surrounding them, so how can America help each other when
in need when they can barely help themselves? Families will prefer to fool themselves into believing
that no one needs anything just so they do not have to give from what they have, and when they do
happen to save extra, they do not plan on saving for when their neighbor needs it, they plan to save it
for when they need it. They may even save it so in the future they can splurge on an expensive item
that will please the family, something they do not necessarily need. The people do

Price cutting was rare.
During 1992, Hanson s share of industry sales was 12% for type 101, 8% for 102, and 10% for 103.
The industry wide quoted selling prices were $9.41, $9.91, $10.56, respectively. Wessling order no
immediate changes, however he advice to wait for results of the first half of 1993. He instructed the
accounting department to provide detailed expenses and earnings statements by products for 1992. In
addition, he requested an explanation of the nature of the costs including their expected future
behavior (exhibit 3). For control purposes, he had the accounting department prepare monthly
statements using as standard costs the actual costs per cwt. from 1992 profit and loss statement
(exhibit 2).
Late in July 1993, Wessling received from the accounting department the 6 months statement of
cumulative standard costs including variances of actual costs from standard (exhibit 4). The statement
revealed that the first half of 1993 was profitable. However, during the latter half of 1993, the sales of
the entire industry weakened, and Hanson s profit was small.
In January 1994, Samra announced a price reduction on product 101 from $9.41 to $8.47 per cwt.
Wessling forecast that if Hanson Company held to the $941 price during the first 6 months of 1994,
their unit sales would be 750,000 cwt. He felt that if they dropped their price to $8.47 per cwt., the 6

An Age Of Wisdom And Clarity
INTRODUCTION
Everyone in the United States has had some sort of interaction with a person from the church, at a
church, in a church and has seen countless images of Jesus in various states of crucifixion to
constantly remind you of his sacrifice, a promise to you that you are forgiven and you have a place in
heaven. Now, this essay is not for everyone, some people cannot function without a crutch, or life is so
bad this is the only escape from reality that is possible, this essay is for those who like me as a child
was so confused about the Christian religion, but could never isolate those reasons until entering an
age of wisdom and clarity.
His Birth
Jesus s birth story is known by us all in some form or other. His birth is celebrated in countless songs,
and festooned, mangered, and otherwise decorated to include gifting friends and family. Amen.
Beginning this story and journey wise men, most say three, correlated by the three extravagant gifts.
Three wise men followed a star which took them to the palace of King Herod, where the King said he
had heard the Lord s baby was born in Bethlehem. Grabbing up the gifts befitting a heavenly child, the
men head off to Bethlehem to find the Christ child. Quickly these wise men traverse to Bethlehem and
discover the Christ child in a manger with his mother, and the guy married to his mom. Everyone can
see a manger with its clean straw mother and husband around a baby with animals and three guys with
presents.

Intervertebral Disk Disorder
Intervertebral Disk Disease (IVDD) is one of the most common spinal cord disorders in small animals.
It is the degenerative process of the intervertebral disk which causes bulging or herniation into the
spinal cord, the disk acts as a cushion and shock absorber for the vertebrae. Treatment for animals that
had severe IVDD with paralysis and no deep pain perception used to be surgery but recent studies
show that surgery might not be the best way to go. Electroacupuncture sends small electrical signals to
the central nervous system and has few adverse effects. If there is another way to help canines who
suffer from IVDD rather than going through an extensive and extremely expensive surgery I believe it
should be explored. This paper will be comparing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This study consisted of 50 small breed dogs such as pekingese, dachshunds, cocker spaniels and
maltese. The dogs were between the ages of one and six and weighed less than ten kilograms. Each
dog was evaluated for the neurologic dysfunction grades and functional neurologic scores. The
neurologic dysfunction grades varied from grade one to grade five. They split the dogs up into a group
of 26 who received conventional medicine and electroacupuncture and 24 dogs who received just
conventional medicine. All dogs were given prednisone and tramadol if needed. If the dogs had any
adverse effects they were given ranitidine for five to seven days. The owners were advised that they
had to restrict their dog s activity for 30 days to avoid recurrence. 26 dogs went through
electroacupuncture once per week for three weeks and dogs with a grade five went through it twice a
week for two weeks and then once a week for two more weeks. They used an alternating current of 3
Herz and 100 Herz for 20 minutes. The acupuncture points that were chosen are as follows: small
intestine 13, bladder 62, 60, 20, 25 and 23, stomach 36, kidney 13, governing vessel one, large
intestine 14 and gall bladder 30. The points were chosen based on the dog s neurologic dysfunction
grade. Dogs that received the medicine and electroacupuncture with a grade three or four recovered

Stress Of Nursing Leadership And Management
Stress of Nursing Leadership and Management
On a daily basis, everyone experiences stress. Stressful situation without making adjustments can
effects your health and well being. For example, I worked as a charge nurse and mostly as a RN
supervisor. This job requires to use managerial skills as well as clinical expertise. The work
environment of the skilled nursing facility was mostly short staffed, lack of resources, and overloaded.
I, as a charge nurse, was expected to always be available, to be in control of all, and to serve as role
models in the field. I was the most needed person for other nursing staffs and was demanded to make
a mangier decisions frequently for an unexpected problem. In the overwhelming situations, I have
experienced that the managing role sometimes comes as the huge stressor, and it impacts my ability of
patient care and process of critical thinking. My experience with the stressful situation caused state of
imbalance in myself and the response consisted both physical and emotional consequences in each
step of my professional process. This paper will discuss the stress among the nursing in managing
position who requires leadership, its negative impact, and a strategy to manage the stress.
Nursing is well known as one of most acknowledged stressful jobs. Beside of all the stress factors
mentioned by nurses, charge nurses or nurses in managing position strongly experience higher stress
level due to added accountability for leadership activity.

BMW: The Power of Design. Ellie Pugh. 369732. Heather Coleman. January 2009.
To most consumers BMW is simply, a vehicle manufacturer. Is this company another faceless
corporation whose only priority is to make its millions? Or have BMW spent the ninety years of their
existence building a solid reputation based on quality? This dissertation will aim to investigate these
questions by exploring the different and maybe in some cases, unknown elements of BMW. I will be

Engineering Advantage Of Pv Technology
P hotovoltaic(PV) technology is booming, with the pursuit of sustainable energy is continuously
increasing in rate of over 30% per year since 1999 [1]. At present, the most commonly PV technology
is crystalline silicon cells. This is powerful and stable PV technology. However, its potential of cost
reduction is strongly limited, with the high cost with silicon wafer. Recently thin film solar cells as a
substitute for traditional crystalline silicon cells, it has up to 21.5 percent of the photoelectric
conversion efficiency, while its production cost is only one third of the crystalline silicon cells or even
one third [2]. And recently, there are several commonly used solar modules, such as CdTe solar cells,

II. EXPERIMENTAL PROCESS At first, for CdTe solar cells, required absorber thicknesses were
obtained by deposition In this work, their substrates are Pilkington TEC 15 (SnO2:F/SnO2) glass

procedure. And Darmstadt Integrated System for SOLarcell research(DAISY SOL) was used to
determine the thin film deposition of the CdS and CdTe individually. And the CdS deposition was
double layer structure, the first layer was deposited at high temperature in range of 520 to 540 °C,
while the second layer was deposited at 250 °C. And for the CdTe layer, was deposited under vacuum
condition, in order to minimize the likelihood of pinhole formation. And it also formed 2 layers under
490 530 °C and 350 °C individually [2]. Dektak profilometer was used to measure the film thickness.
And the thickness is the total thickness of the double layer structure CdTe films. The data samples
were modules with thickness ranging from 0.5 to 3μm. Aside from that, the CdCl2 annealing
treatment was applied under 385 °C with saturated CdCl2 in methanol. And for samples with
thickness over 2 μm would be activated for 20

Analysis Of Janice Mirikitani s Suicide Note
It s easy to feel worthless. Almost every person feels this deep emotion at some time in life, but people
handle it different. Everywhere people are always judging. Judgement from parents, from family, and
even from friends is inescapable. People can tear themselves down in many ways, such as through
school, not feeling they look good enough, and even just not feeling like they re ever good enough to
be living on Earth. In Janice Mirikitani s poem Suicide Note, it talks about an Asian American student
currently in college. She tries her hardest, she wants to succeed and make her parents proud. Her
parents have high standards for her, as they want her to receive a 4.0 grade point average. Although
she gives her best effort, her grade point average is still less than a 4.0, and for that reason her parents
are not proud of her, she s not their perfect, ideal daughter. So she enters that point where she no
longer feels proud of her accomplishments, she feels worthless, and unintelligent. She decides to
commit suicide by jumping out of a window in her college dorm. In her suicide note she apologizes to
her parents for not being good enough. Suicide Note is a free form poem, it has no set stanzaic pattern,
the sentences break in unexpected places, and the structure varies throughout the poem. It uses
imagery to connect with the reader, and the stanzas are set up in way that make the lines to appear as
they are falling. Through the use of enjambment, and end stopped line the

Etiology: The cause of this disorder is due to genetic and/or environmental factors that can inhibit fetal
movement before birth resulting in joint contractures. The exact cause of the disorder is still unknown.
The extrinsic factors include decreased intrauterine movement, oligohydramnios, defects in fetal blood
supply, hyperthermia, or viral infections. Intrinsic factors include defects in muscle and connective
tissue as well as neurological abnormalities.
Pathophysiology: Some theories are due to gene mutations, which can be missense mutations where
the mutation leads to a different amino acid, or single gene defects. Other theories are due to
mitochondria and chromosome defects. Muscle and connective tissue disorders are usually due to
abnormal function of the dystrophin glycoprotein associated complex in the sarcolemma of skeletal

Why Did The President Trump Give More Power
Eventually, on March 27th, along with other disapproval s from the CRA, the President signed H.J.
Res. 44 into law. When Trump took office, he talked about giving more power to the people, and he
supposedly did that through this resolution. Instead of allowing the BLM to have the ultimate say, it
gives more power to corporations. Similarly to signing the Stream Protection disapproval, Trumps
motive in his signing was to deregulate America in hopes of more jobs. Paul Larkin, a research for the
Heritage Foundation claimed, During the presidential campaign, President Trump expressed concern
that overregulation has handicapped industry s ability to maintain existing jobs and generate new ones,
(Larken). By limiting the BLM authority, some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On, Nov. 14, 2000, President Clinton s Occupational Safety and Health Administration finalized an
ergonomics regulation meant to reduce instances of wrist pain, back problems, and other injuries
stemming from repetitive tasks at work. Republicans controlled both chambers at this point, but in
order to nullify the rule means 2/3 of both chambers would have to support the congressional veto.
But in 2001, George W. Bush was sworn in as President. Republicans then had control of both
chambers of Congress and the Presidency. Therefore, because the ergonomic regulation fell into the 60
day window, through the CRA, Congress and Bush could override the regulation. After Bush signed
the disapproval into law, he states, This resolution is a good and proper use of the [Congressional
Review] Act because the different branches of our Government need to be held accountable. There
needs to be a balance between and an understanding of the costs and benefits associated with Federal
regulations, (Agragna). Even though the Bush administration didn t use the CRA as a way to regulate
his executive branch, many claim this was a good use of the congressional device, but Trump signing
14 CRA resolutions that repealed his predecessor s work proves how law making is becoming more
unorthodox. The CRA is definitely not a very well known tool used to make legislation. In fact, Emily

Honesty Quotes In Othello
In act 1 Othello says to Iago My life upon her faith! Honest Iago, / My Desdemona must I leave to
thee (1.3.297 8). One could argue this sentence is the essence of the whole play. First looking at my
life upon her faith . Throughout the whole play, Iago is able to corrupt Othello s faith in Desdemona,
pretty easily. Iago really gives Othello no solid proof in regard to Desdemona s infidelity. Yet Othello
is so quick to believe him. This line continues with Othello having Iago s wife, Emilia, attend to
Desdemona. And while Emilia comes to the realization of her mistakes in the end, she plays a pretty
major role in Desdemona death. In the final scene, when Othello is accusing Desdemona of giving
Cassio the handkerchief, the only reason he ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Honest Iago is said all throughout the play. Shakespeare is poking fun for he is anything but honest.
He is the puppet master in this production who s only agenda, it seems, is to cause Othello as much
pain as possible. Iago defiantly gets his wish, but as a cost. One of the first examples of Iago not being
very honest is in 2.2.20 30. Here we see Iago coaxing Cassio into having a drink, even though Cassio
has a drinking problem. Iago: Well, happiness to their sheets! Come, lieutenant, I/ have a stoup of
wine, and here without are a brace / of Cyprus gallants that would fain have a measure to / the health
of black Othello. / Cassio: Not tonight, good Iago. I have very poor and unhappy brains for drinking. I
could well wish courtesy would invent some other custom of entertainment/ Iago: Oh, they are our
friends. But one cup. I ll drink for you. (2.2.20 4). But this is just the beginning of Iago s deceptions.
As mentioned before, Othello leaves Desdemona s life in Iago s manipulative hands, and Othello puts
more stock into Iago s words than his wife s. Throughout the whole play, Honest Iago and fragile
Othello feed into each other, with poor Desdemona and Cassio the innocent causalities. Emilia too,
while not as innocent, still perishes at Honest Iago s doing. If 1.2.297 8 didn t happen, maybe
Desdemona and Othello could have lived happily ever, but a las it

After a theoretical analysis of the pharmaceutical industry, the research includes the development of
an analytical framework, which serves as a basis for the examination of the selected websites. This is
followed by an analysis based on the CSR section of the websites of three world leader
pharmaceutical wholesalers and service providers within the pharmaceutical industry. A qualitative
methodology applied to the written content of the websites allows drawing conclusions on the reasons
that lead these companies to get involved in CSR. It also provides an interpretation of how these firms
organize their CSR communication, and which CSR communication strategies they use for addressing
their stakeholders. Findings: The engagement in CSR of companies developing its activities and
business within the pharmaceutical industry respond to the different challenges this industry faces.
External stakeholders (NGOs, media, consumer advocacy groups and the public opinion) carefully
watch the steps taken by pharmaceuticals. As a consequence, the initiatives and communications must
be designed to satisfy the stakeholders´ needs and expectations. Pharmaceutical wholesalers

Argumentative Essay On Child Brides
Imagine viewing yourself standing against the backdrop of vibrant, beautiful tapestries wistfully
hanging from the wall behind. While taking a gander at the detailed rug underneath your feet, from out
of nowhere there are loud shouts and calls of joy and exultation, accompanied by the ringing of
cymbals, as a man in his mid to late fifties enters the room. Prominently, the man fully dressed in silks
and with a decorative ornament crowned around his head, recognizing him as the groom of the
wedding. Accordingly, as soon as he takes his seat at the wedding table, in a similar manner as the
groom, in walks a delicate figure no taller than your waistline. Notably, even though one can t observe
her face, the sounds of her relentless cries continuously heard, as the sight of her shed tears melt
through her beautiful red veil causing the light veil to stick upon her cheeks and mouth. Nevertheless,
she s forced to walk through the crowd and seated at the wedding table beside the older groom. Thus,
as the veil gets removed, to no one s shock, just your own, you discern she is just a child.

Enterobacter spp, E. coli, and Klebsiella spp accounting for 74% of the pathogens isolated. Candida

the predominant gram positive isolates. Unusual pathogens like Alkaligenes fecaelis and

Plagiarism, Cheating And Academic Standards
1. Introduction
The demonstration of showing the thoughts of others as your own without referencing known as
plagiarism. This is cheating and degrades academic standards. One of the most important contributing
factors that make plagiarism a worldwide problem is the simple access to web assets, where all the
investigative papers and reports are effectively accessible. It has been evaluated that plagiarism has
always been an area of interest for both administrators and teachers when they want efforts of students
in order to reflect the learning consequences. On the other hand, the web is anything but difficult to
access to practically boundless composed material on each possible subject, suspicion of understudy
copying has started to influence educators at all levels with the advent of the internet. The thought of
the center estimations of scholarly respectability is the part of greater image of individual integrity at
the heart of the plagiarism debate. A link between their values and plagiarism from the students has
been observed from past articles. However, plagiarism is an ever increasing issue (Appiah, 2016).
2. Causes of Plagiarism
The causes of plagiarism include insufficient languages abilities, an absence of talents for utilizing
data, newness to western scholarly societies and burden to attain education marks. It has been
evaluated from different approaches that student s understandings of plagiarism are provided through
academic integrity. In fact, students did not

Petroleum, The Most Valuable Commodities
Crude oil, also known as petroleum, is among the most valuable commodities in the world. It is vital
to many industries, accounting for just over thirty three percent of the world s energy supply. Crude oil
is a naturally occurring substance that can be refined into several products, including diesel fuel,
motor oil, and gasoline, among others. Though prices of crude oil in years passed were typically high,
they fluctuate daily in response to a host of factors, including world wide rates of production and
consumption, environmental issues, overall global economic health, and sociopolitical developments
in other nations that purchase oil. These are, furthermore, factors over which neither government nor
industry have control. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The potential changes that BP should have been scanning for include technological and legislative
changes, changes in the global economy, and changes in the physical environment. BP should have
been aware, for example of any changes or trends in technology. Successful monitoring is then
determined by a company s ability to accurately interpret the data collected from scanning. In this
example, if BP had detected a technological change or trend, it would be important for them to have
an understanding of exactly what the technology is and what it is capable of. Next, the company must
be able to project how the detected changes and trends will impact business. A new technology could
be a potential opportunity for BP or a threat if implemented by a competitor. And finally, once the
changes and trends have been identified, it is important for the firm to determine the significance and
timing of the event. With a change in technology, BP would need to assess whether or not
implementation would give them a competitive advantage. The threat of new entrants to the industry
in the context of the BP oil spill was likely pretty low. Aside from the traditional challenges of
entering an industry as a new comer, new offshore leases were placed on hold, and a moratorium
subsequently placed on offshore drilling below 500 feet by the federal government. This would have

Understanding Fate, Women, And Oaths
Understanding Fate, Women, and Oaths in The Franklin s Prologue and Tale From a Comparison with
The Knight s Tale The Franklin s Tale narrates the romantic conflict between Dorigene, a distressed
maiden, Arveragus, a meke knight (739), and Aurelius, a besotted squire. Although Dorigene and
Arveragus are contently married, Aurelius continues to court Dorigene and attempts to win her over
by removing alle the rokkes, stoon by stoon (993) from the coast of Brittany. When Aurelius informs
Dorigene that he has successfully vanished the rocks, she realizes she is bound to been [his] love (990)
by a promise made in pley , and bemoans her situation for a day or tweye : Allas! quod she, that ever
was I born!/ Thus have I seyd, quod she, thus have I sworn . (Franklin s Tale. 1463 64). The first part
of this couplet is extraordinary passive and demonstrates Dorigene s belief that human lives are fated
from birth. On the other hand, the active syntax of the second line suggests that Dorigene has agency
over her words and her promise and assumes partial responsibility for her situation. The tonal gap
between the two halves captures a contradiction in Dorigene s lament that is replicated and magnified
in The Franklin s Tale . Although the Franklin attempts to quit with The Knight s Tale and presents his
characters as equally dependent on fate and the gods, he overgoes his social superior by emphasizing
ideas that the Knight ignores or otherwise undermines

Fair Trade Versus Free Trade
Cohort 4 believes that fair trade is the most prosperous way to trade with other countries. Both free
trade and fair trade have advantages and disadvantages. The researchers in Cohort 4 have established a
viewpoint regarding fair trade and free trade. Considering the research that the cohort has conducted,
they are in opposition to free trade.
The terms free and fair trade sometimes go hand in hand but there are distinct differences between the
two. According to Wikipedia, free trade is a system of trade policy that allows traders to act and or
transact without interference from the government. Free trade implies the trade of goods without taxes

sustainability in a global market. As of today, this organization works with more than 800 companies

understanding and knowledge of the Fair Trade movement with social, economic, and environmental
empowerment for the farming population and consumers all across the globe (Economics, 2010). In
Addition to Fair Trade USA, Cohort 4 believes that the general American population does not support
free trade as well. NBC news and Wall Street Journal did a poll and the results were interesting. Sixty
nine percent of Americans believe that free trade agreements with other countries have cost jobs in the
United States. While eighteen percent believe that they have created jobs (Harwood). During the

Abstract Colonialism brings drastic changes in the Political, Economical and Social conditions of the
colonized countries. It also sows the seed of English education among the colonies which attempts to
transform the indigenous people into human . The emergence of English language education and
colonial rule dominates the native tongue in various spheres and in due course surpasses it. Initially,
the purpose of English education is to assimilate indigenous people into the dominant mainstream
English speaking society and its culture. Indirectly, the aim is to lose their Native culture and

The Battle Against The War On Terrorism
What Now? An analysis of the responses to the Senate Report on CIA Interrogation
The fight against the war on terrorism has initiated a debate in the United States over the use of torture
and advanced interrogation techniques to extract information needed to protect the safety of its
citizens. In lieu of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, government officials believed that using extensive force
against suspected is justified, especially if such force results in the prevention of future planned
attacks. Others reject torture and the methods used by the government agencies, especially the CIA, as
both unreliable and an affront to legal and civilized norms of behavior. In December of 2014, The
Senate Intelligence Committee Report on CIA torture, drafted by the bipartisan United States Select
Committee on Intelligence, brought light to the controversy by unearthing the methods and techniques
used to interrogate detainees, prisoners of war, and suspected terrorists. The findings have ignited
strong opposition and outcry among the citizens, critics of the government, and foreign nations. The
aftermath of this report have prompted two important questions: Should the CIA be held responsible
for its actions and face investigations, prosecution, and full legal action or should the CIA have the
ability to act and determine policies they seem fit to protect the U.S. from any threats and outside
forces?
Torture is defined by the United Nations Convention Against Torture as any act by

Examples Of Symmetry In The Knight s Tale
, their symmetry, their happy balance; in a word it is all that introduces order, all that gives unity, that
permits us to see clearly and to comprehend at once both the ensemble and the details (Poincaré). The
need for symmetry to understand the whole is found not only in math, but also in literature. In The
Knight s Tale, symmetry provides balance to stories by highlighting critical aspects for understanding.
The balance of conflict and resolution help complete the story and create a sense of harmony for the
reader. In The Knight s Tale, Chaucer uses symmetry through balance to make the story truly
complete. Chaucer uses many examples of symmetry to help explain the story and emphasize

Chaucer uses symmetry to creatively conclude the driving conflict of the poem, Arcite and Palamon s
conflicting mutual love for Emily. The conflict between the two lovers begins during their exile in
Theseus prison after being defeated in battle. Palamon is upset by his cousin s admiration of Emily
when he expressed his love interest first; he exclaims, Yet you would treacherously go about / To love
my lady, whom I love and serve / And ever shall, till death cut my heart s nerve (34). He expresses his
deep love for Emily and anger that his own cousin does not support him, but loves the same lady. The
conflict over their love of Emily forms a deep rift between the two men for the length of the poem.
The rift is mended at Arcite s request to Emily after he is fatally injured in celebration of his victory in
the tournament: Who serves you and will serve you all his life. / And should you ever choose to be a
wife, / Forget not Palamon, that great hearted man (78). Chaucer uses symmetry to bring about an end
to the violent tournament devised by Theseus, so that he could determine who would marry Emily.
Theseus orders Palamon and Arcite to each gather an army so that they could fight to the death to win
Emily: To Emily. To this I give my name, / My faith and honour, as I am a knight. / Whichever of you
proves of greater might (52 53). The

James has been taken to a rehab facility to get over his addictions. This pen along with this journal

the memoir, he does not remember anything that has happened, and wakes up on a plane with horrible
bruises, cuts, broken body parts, and severe damage done to his brain. He does not remember anything
that happened, and does not remember where he was before, or where he was going. His memory is
slightly retained after a while, but not fully back. James suffers from constant vomiting, and endless
stares from the other people at the facility. He does not have anyone to talk to while there, which is
one of the many purposes for the journal. He can write down all of his feelings without anybody
knowing how he feels. It is a release of information that could have been weighing him down. It is
hard for James to talk to someone when he does not have a friend that will listen. Everyone in the

The Effectiveness Of Measuring Clients For Proper Assessment
The purpose of this paper is to explore the effectiveness of measuring clients for proper assessment
through the use of various formal instruments that may include symptom checklists, personality
assessment, or other diagnostic instrument. The population of people this paper will explore are those
who are or have been victims of domestic violence. It will further examine the purpose of this formal
assessment instrument and the benefits it will have in counseling. The population I am interested in
providing services for are women of Domestic Violence. In addition to examining and treating victims
of domestic violence, I would like to assess the effects of maltreatment and how it is interwoven into
the fabric of Post traumatic stress disorder (PSTD). Nonetheless, this epidemic affects all individuals
regardless of their community, age, economic status, sexual orientation, gender, race, religion, or
nationality. Similarly, this type of abuse is associated with emotionally abusive and controlling
behavior as well, that may or may not demonstrate a pattern of dominance and control

cases, even death. The devastating physical, emotional, and psychological consequences of domestic
violence can cross generations, and in some individuals last for a lifetime if it goes untreated

Reaction Paper On Comas
Abstract
The longest time ever recorded of someone being in a coma was done by Elaine Esposito, who was
comatose for 37 years and 111 days. She died before she could wake up. People can still wake up from
a coma after an exceedingly long time. Terry Wallis spent 19 years in a coma and woke up. She was
able to function with a small amount of disability after the fact.
Comas are a very widely known (illness). They can last from several days to weeks, in more severe
cases it can last for months and even years. Unfortunately, many don t learn of the full extent until a
loved one is affected. For the families of those affected by the many different types of comas, it is

This would include lack of oxygen, toxins, infection, strokes, etc. Someone who is in a coma cannot
be woken up, their pupils won t respond to light, and no response to any painful stimuli. When a
patient is in comatose, they have extensive tests done to test the severity of it, but due to their
unpredictable nature, the results are not always accurate. Treatment of such comatose patients involves
a lot of hard work and attentive care. They are given everything they need to keep their body healthy
so they have the highest chance of recovery. The leading cause of death in coma patients unable to
wake up is caused by infections and a weakened immune system, making it easy for the body to
succumb to such situations. Recovery from a coma is much different than most would think. We see in
movies and TV shows that is like waking up from a deep sleep and they can talk and function
normally. Because it is not like sleep, it is unconsciousness caused by brain injury, things don t happen
like that. When a patient wakes up from their comatose they are often disoriented and it takes them
anywhere from a few hours to days to become fully aware and be able to use motor functions.
Depending on the severity, rehabilitation for motor and speech functions may be necessary and can
last a very long

Lennie Character Analysis
In Of Mice and Men, John Steinbeck depicts a realistic and dreary portrait of America in the 1930 s.
He illustrates a world where the American Dream is just an illusion. During the Great Depression
1930 s many people weren t as ambitious to even try to achieve their aspirations. However, this is not
the case for our protagonists George and Lennie. Two men with inverse personalities and appearances
strive to conquer their hopes under difficult circumstances. Tragically, moments away from achieving
their aspiration, Lennie accidentally ruins their chances by committing a horrendous act. George is
then left having to end Lennie s life to spare him of the aftermath. One may think Lennie is a villain
because he harmed someone. On the contrary, Lennie is a victim because he shows signs of having a
mental disorder (Most notably Autism), constantly gets manipulated, and is oblivious to the severity
death. Lennie s personality stands out from all the characters in the novella. He is soft, amiable, naive,
and submissive. Which is a very odd thing considering his peers portray strong male stereotypes.
Curly oozes pride, Slim maintains his reputation, Crooks and George incarcerate their anger, and
Candy conceals his grief. Although it is not certain, many readers speculate Lennie personality reflects
Autism, a serious mental disorder. While playing cards with Slim, George confesses, [H]e wants to
touch ever thing he likes. Just wants to feel it. (Page 41, Steinbeck) This statement

  • 2. Child Support Calculated Whether you are currently involved in divorce proceedings or you have been divorced or separated for a while, if there are children involved, child support might be an ongoing battle. If you are the parent getting the child support, you likely want to make sure your children are properly cared for financially. If you are the parent paying the child support, you want your children to be cared for financially, but you also do not want to pay more than your fair share for the care of your children. There are several things you should understand about child support according to Minnesota law. Who Can Ask for Child Support? Generally, the custodial parent will get child support from the non custodial parent. This can happen after a divorce or legal separation, as well as between parents who were never married. If there is a dispute ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are several factors that go into determining child support payments. This includes both parents gross income, the number of children, and the custodial arrangement. For example, a parent who has the child for three days a week will pay less in child support than a parent who only sees the child a few hours a month. The parent who has the child more often is likely already paying more for the child s needs and expenses. When it comes to calculating the actual financial support needed for a child, expenses can be divided into three categories. The first, basic support, includes things like housing, food, clothing, education, transportation, and other expenses associated with raising a child. The second area is medical support. This includes the cost of health and dental insurance and costs associated with medical and dental care for the child. The final category is child care support, which covers day care costs for the child while the parents are working. Some of these costs will stay pretty steady throughout your child s life while others will go up or down depending upon the family s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. John Winthrop Model In 1630, the Arbella carried Puritans from England toward the colonies. Once they had arrived, John Winthrop took responsibility to teach the passengers the principles of a model society so the future generations could live well. By following these principles, the community was going to be able to survive by working together in order to ensure that the community would last. Although America started with John Winthrop s idea of a model society, this nation is no longer the community that was envisioned then because the bond between people has been broken by the racism and the selfishness of most Americans. In 1630, Puritans, led by John Winthrop, sailed on the Arbella from Boston, England to Salem, Massachusetts because they were on a holy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... John Winthrop teaches the ones from the Arbella that they must keep their neighbor in mind when saving extra. Today, most of the citizens work hard just so their family can have enough to be able to put food on the table. Providing for their neighbor is the last thing in their minds. Some people can barely provide for themselves let alone an entire family. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average consumer yearly expenditures was approximately $55, 978 in 2015. From $55,978, around $29,000 come from housing and shelter. Food adds relatively $7,000, and transportation, education, and healthcare add around $14,000 ( Consumer ). With all the expenses, the family does not have enough to spend what is left on the ones surrounding them, so how can America help each other when in need when they can barely help themselves? Families will prefer to fool themselves into believing that no one needs anything just so they do not have to give from what they have, and when they do happen to save extra, they do not plan on saving for when their neighbor needs it, they plan to save it for when they need it. They may even save it so in the future they can splurge on an expensive item that will please the family, something they do not necessarily need. The people do ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. Analysis Of Janice Mirikitani s Suicide Note It s easy to feel worthless. Almost every person feels this deep emotion at some time in life, but people handle it different. Everywhere people are always judging. Judgement from parents, from family, and even from friends is inescapable. People can tear themselves down in many ways, such as through school, not feeling they look good enough, and even just not feeling like they re ever good enough to be living on Earth. In Janice Mirikitani s poem Suicide Note, it talks about an Asian American student currently in college. She tries her hardest, she wants to succeed and make her parents proud. Her parents have high standards for her, as they want her to receive a 4.0 grade point average. Although she gives her best effort, her grade point average is still less than a 4.0, and for that reason her parents are not proud of her, she s not their perfect, ideal daughter. So she enters that point where she no longer feels proud of her accomplishments, she feels worthless, and unintelligent. She decides to commit suicide by jumping out of a window in her college dorm. In her suicide note she apologizes to her parents for not being good enough. Suicide Note is a free form poem, it has no set stanzaic pattern, the sentences break in unexpected places, and the structure varies throughout the poem. It uses imagery to connect with the reader, and the stanzas are set up in way that make the lines to appear as they are falling. Through the use of enjambment, and end stopped line the ... The exact cause of the disorder is still unknown. The extrinsic factors include decreased intrauterine movement, oligohydramnios, defects in fetal blood supply, hyperthermia, or viral infections. Intrinsic factors include defects in muscle and connective tissue as well as neurological abnormalities. Pathophysiology: Some theories are due to gene mutations, which can be missense mutations where the mutation leads to a different amino acid, or single gene defects. Other theories are due to mitochondria and chromosome defects. When Trump took office, he talked about giving more power to the people, and he supposedly did that through this resolution. Instead of allowing the BLM to have the ultimate say, it gives more power to corporations. Similarly to signing the Stream Protection disapproval, Trumps motive in his signing was to deregulate America in hopes of more jobs. On, Nov. 14, 2000, President Clinton s Occupational Safety and Health Administration finalized an ergonomics regulation meant to reduce instances of wrist pain, back problems, and other injuries stemming from repetitive tasks at work. Republicans controlled both chambers at this point, but in order to nullify the rule means 2/3 of both chambers would have to support the congressional veto. But in 2001, George W. Bush was sworn in as President. Republicans then had control of both chambers of Congress and the Presidency. Therefore, because the ergonomic regulation fell into the 60 day window, through the CRA, Congress and Bush could override the regulation. After Bush signed the disapproval into law, he states, This resolution is a good and proper use of the [Congressional Review] Act because the different branches of our Government need to be held accountable. One could argue this sentence is the essence of the whole play. First looking at my life upon her faith . Throughout the whole play, Iago is able to corrupt Othello s faith in Desdemona, pretty easily. Iago really gives Othello no solid proof in regard to Desdemona s infidelity. Yet Othello is so quick to believe him. This line continues with Othello having Iago s wife, Emilia, attend to Desdemona. And while Emilia comes to the realization of her mistakes in the end, she plays a pretty major role in Desdemona death. Shakespeare is poking fun for he is anything but honest. He is the puppet master in this production who s only agenda, it seems, is to cause Othello as much pain as possible. Iago defiantly gets his wish, but as a cost. One of the first examples of Iago not being very honest is in 2.2.20 30. Here we see Iago coaxing Cassio into having a drink, even though Cassio has a drinking problem. Iago: Well, happiness to their sheets! Come, lieutenant, I/ have a stoup of wine, and here without are a brace / of Cyprus gallants that would fain have a measure to / the health of black Othello. / Cassio: Not tonight, good Iago. As mentioned before, Othello leaves Desdemona s life in Iago s manipulative hands, and Othello puts more stock into Iago s words than his wife s. Throughout the whole play, Honest Iago and fragile Othello feed into each other, with poor Desdemona and Cassio the innocent causalities. While taking a gander at the detailed rug underneath your feet, from out of nowhere there are loud shouts and calls of joy and exultation, accompanied by the ringing of cymbals, as a man in his mid to late fifties enters the room. Prominently, the man fully dressed in silks and with a decorative ornament crowned around his head, recognizing him as the groom of the wedding. Accordingly, as soon as he takes his seat at the wedding table, in a similar manner as the groom, in walks a delicate figure no taller than your waistline. Notably, even though one can t observe her face, the sounds of her relentless cries continuously heard, as the sight of her shed tears melt through her beautiful red veil causing the light veil to stick upon her cheeks and mouth. Nevertheless, she s forced to walk through the crowd and seated at the wedding table beside the older groom. Understanding Fate, Women, And Oaths Understanding Fate, Women, and Oaths in The Franklin s Prologue and Tale From a Comparison with The Knight s Tale The Franklin s Tale narrates the romantic conflict between Dorigene, a distressed maiden, Arveragus, a meke knight (739), and Aurelius, a besotted squire. Although Dorigene and Arveragus are contently married, Aurelius continues to court Dorigene and attempts to win her over by removing alle the rokkes, stoon by stoon (993) from the coast of Brittany. When Aurelius informs Dorigene that he has successfully vanished the rocks, she realizes she is bound to been [his] love (990) by a promise made in pley , and bemoans her situation for a day or tweye : Allas! quod she, that ever was I born!/ Thus have I seyd, quod she, thus have I sworn . (Franklin s Tale. 1463 64). The first part of this couplet is extraordinary passive and demonstrates Dorigene s belief that human lives are fated from birth. On the other hand, the active syntax of the second line suggests that Dorigene has agency over her words and her promise and assumes partial responsibility for her situation. The tonal gap between the two halves captures a contradiction in Dorigene s lament that is replicated and magnified in The Franklin s Tale . Although the Franklin attempts to quit with The Knight s Tale and presents his characters as equally dependent on fate and the gods, he overgoes his social superior by emphasizing ideas that the Knight ignores or otherwise undermines ... An analysis of the responses to the Senate Report on CIA Interrogation The fight against the war on terrorism has initiated a debate in the United States over the use of torture and advanced interrogation techniques to extract information needed to protect the safety of its citizens. In lieu of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, government officials believed that using extensive force against suspected is justified, especially if such force results in the prevention of future planned attacks. Others reject torture and the methods used by the government agencies, especially the CIA, as both unreliable and an affront to legal and civilized norms of behavior. In December of 2014, The Senate Intelligence Committee Report on CIA torture, drafted by the bipartisan United States Select Committee on Intelligence, brought light to the controversy by unearthing the methods and techniques used to interrogate detainees, prisoners of war, and suspected terrorists. The findings have ignited strong opposition and outcry among the citizens, critics of the government, and foreign nations. However, this is not the case for our protagonists George and Lennie. Two men with inverse personalities and appearances strive to conquer their hopes under difficult circumstances.
