The Treatment Of Birth Control
According to the United States census, the world population is over 7 billion and a birth occurs
every 8 seconds. China leads with well over 1.3 billion people. There are rural areas, in Africa
that women have never heard of any form of birth control. In those areas, women have 6 or more
children. According to the United nations report (2013), The world s population is expected to
reach 9.6 billion by 2050. There is already a lack of natural global resources. The environment is
showing signs of misuse caused by humans. While, reproduction is a part of life and a human right.
We as people need to work on preserving our natural resources, for the betterment of our future.
And, birth controlis a considered method in helping control our population. Birth control is also
another way of helping developing countries due to lack of obstetric care, or countries that are
disease, and poverty stricken.
The pill allowed women, control not only in their sexual explorations but in society. They had the
ability to be more economically stable before having children. With the choice to delay pregnancy,
it gives those a choice in how they will live their lives. Some can complete their education, follow
their dreams, and start businesses.
Abortion has been a hot topic for awhile, It has become a form of Birth control for many who
take the risk of having unprotected sex, yet don t want the responsibility of a child. Birth control
goes beyond moral responsibilities but is also a

Undocumented Workers in the United States do not Take Away...
Have you ever stopped to think how much you would do for your family? You should think
about what Immigrants do for their family. Immigrants cross the border everyday. Americans
think that they just walk over , no big deal. You never hear the real story; you never hear how
they are treated. Once they actually get across, they get to live like they deserve, lavishly, right?
That s far from the truth. They cross the border and get low paying jobs (usually 2 dollars an hour)
and that s still better then what they would receive in their homeland. Isn t that something? Some
Americans say that Immigrants are taking away jobs. What American would be willing to work
for 2 dollars an hour as a janitor or maid? Not many. One American women,... Show more content

It also explains what happens while crossing the river, The River is swollen and its swift current
makes a sound like that of a coming storm. The water is dirty and thick and stained gray, like the
color of dirt on the riverbank. Pieces of wook and branches flost on it s surface. Martin and the
other immigrants make it safely across but that s not always the case. In USA Today Newspaper,
headline reads Mexico captures 12 suspects linked to deadly migrant smuggling. Apparently, 19
illegal migrants were killed due to being succumbed to the heat after being locked inside an 18
wheeler s airless trailer. You can find statistics that state hundreds of illegal migrants that die a year.
They never have a chance to get a job or return to their family.
Contrary to what Americans believe, immigrants are not taking jobs away from Americans. In
Immigration News: New Study Declares Immigration to be a Plus, it states that Immigration
benefits the American economy and overall and has little negative effect on the income and job
opportunities of most native born U.S. citizens. When you look at shops or restaurants in
California, Texas, or New York, who do you notice that s running most of those shops and
restaurants? Immigrants, whether they re Mexican, Asian, or Natives. Instead of taking away jobs,
they create jobs by opening businesses. They spend their income on American goods, and pay
taxes; this

Administration Essay
Preparation
Firstly, to prepare for the first administration of the CAS, I read the examiner manual which
explained that in order for the results to be interpretable and avoid reducing of reliability and
validity, the assessment should be administered according to the procedures and recommended
testing conditions (Das Naglieri, 1997). There were several key points to be familiar with which
are: the materials needed in each subtest (ie. Response book, red pencil, stopwatch), the starting
points according to age, the time limits per item, scoring of each item, and the discontinue rules. I
then reviewed the record forms, response booklets, and marked the starting points according to
Jhallen s and Sierra s age with highlighter and post it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a result, I made changes with Sierra s assessment and decided to split it in two sessions with
two subtests each session in order to avoid fatigueness.
Building Rapport According to Das and Naglieri (1997), it is important to establish rapport with
the examinee but also be aware of providing praise and compliment that may influence the results. I
found it fairly easy to build rapport with Jhallen as I have conducted an interview for the first
assignment. As the setting was more relaxed, Jhallen often asked some questions in which I found
it difficult to not repeat the item or give guidance. In order to not compromise the standardization of
the test, I reminded Jhallen in every beginning of the task that I cannot give guidance. On the
other hand, my assessment with Sierra required more effort in building rapport as she appeared to
be shy and quiet in the beginning. In order to establish rapport I had a brief conversation about her
day and introduced the assessment, emphasising that some of the tasks may be easy or difficulty
but to try her best. To maintain rapport during the assessment, I made sure that she understood the
instructions of every task and be aware that I could not provide help or feedback.
Report Writing The CAS Examiner s Manual provided steps in scoring and interpreting the scores. I
found the instructions to score the CAS results to be straightforward. It was also very

A Thesis On Modernism
Brian Blair Whitaker

Modern Thesis Paper
During the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, changes in the dynamics of society caused
intellectuals to question the traditions of everyday life. From religious views to the arts of
literature, traditional values and forms were rejected, thus defining a line between the two time
periods, which can be considered as the start of the Modern era. Also known as Modernism, the
modern era used literature as an outlet for expressing the thoughts and feelings of the time. Modern
texts use city life, industrialization and globalization, and ironic and satirical themes to showcase
their bleak outlook on life post both world wars. The nature of these events are aspects of society ...

The mistrust of the world which is at the center of modernism can be attributed to the world wars
and the psychological effect that it had on the individual. The horrors and violence altered public
perceptions of life, a change that is evident within writers of the time period. The focus of
writing shifted from the outward world to inner thoughts and feelings and overall representation
of an individual s stream of consciousness which are themes associated with modern text. In
Impact of Modernism , focuses on the idea that world needed new outlets for expression and in

believed that by rejecting tradition they could discover radically new ways of making art.

Military Desertion Research Paper

If Military hierarchies are not an effective form of ranking systems how have they been successfully
used for thousands of years? Although it is true that there is tension among the military, there are
several reasons that debunk all theories about justifying military desertion and treason. For
thousands of years all branches of any nations or empires Army were extensively trained for
combat and situations that may arise in that environment. To say a officer in the military would
leave even under command not to because they are under stress, is a very poor reason to break the
law and millitarys codes.

Revenant Movie Vs Book
Is the desire for revenge a basic component of human nature? The highly awarded movie The
Revenant is an epic story of Hugh Glass s mission to seek revenge on those who had wronged
him. The movie teaches many important life lessons, but they differ significantly in comparison to
the book it s based on. Not only does the story teach important lessons, it is a notable legend in
American folklore. The motion picture rendition of Michael Punke s book The Revenant changes
the meaning of the book because despite the similarities in the characters and the initial storyline
the ending scene redefines the book. The movie was able to portray the charter of Hugh Glass with
uncanny accuracy to how he was depicted in the book. Both the movie and book... Show more

In both stories, Glass plays an important role in the trapping expedition that he is on. In the
beginning of the movie Glass is a guide for a return trip to a nearby fort after a successful trapping
mission. Similarly, in the novel, Glass is a guide on an expedition to inhabit a formerly abandoned
fort. This is a critical portion of the story because it is the first action that eventually develops the
story into the epic tale that it is. Another important aspect that both the book and film have is the
conflict with the ruthless native Ree tribe. In the book, the Ree tribe was intent on killing all the
white settlers along the Grand River. In comparison to the movie in which the Ree were killing
American trappers along the Grand River in an attempt to find the chief s missing daughter. The
most significant section of the book was when Glass was brutally mauled by ta bear. The book
had a very detailed account of Glass running into a large sow with her two cubs, and Glass was
able to shoot the sow from close range as it barreled towards him. The movie took a more
theatrical approach with Glass being initially knocked to the ground and mauled by the bear and
then after it came back for a second attack he shot it. Despite the discrepancies, both have a large
sow accompanied by two cubs, and the cubs are the first thing that he sees. Additionally, despite
Glass s different initial run in with the bear he still shoots it as it charges him for it to later die
and fall on top of him. After being severely injured Glass is left behind with John Fitzgerald and
Jim Bridger. The book has the two abandon the camp to avoid being detected by a Ree hunting
party that is near their campsite and in the process, they take all of Glass s possessions. The movie
has the exact same thing happen except there was not an actual Ree hunting party. Instead,
Fitzgerald made up the lie so he could convince

Persuasive Essay On Homeless Animals
Homeless animals out number homeless people nearly five to one, and roughly six to eight million
enter a shelter where approximately three to four million are euthanized. These animals deserve a
second chance; they don t deserve to be neglected and forgotten. The majority of animals in shelters
show up because of circumstances that surround their owners, such as families moving or the
owner being terminally ill. As opposed to purchasing a pet, you can adopt one that will fit well into
your life style. When adopting, rescuing, or fostering a pet, you provide a home to a loving, yet
loyal, companion. Averaging about five holding days, most shelters will euthanize an animal on the

Reflection Of Lolita
Having read Lolita before this one, I was in a divided mind whether to bring the book home. Not
that Lolita was bad , no chance of that, but it exerted an impression which I would love to liken
to a massive dose of LSD: lovely exasperating, trippy to the max, to a certain extent very similar
to a case of migraine. Unfortunately, the black butterfly on its cover knew my dilemma and
blinked with me. I brought the book, and soon envisioned myself getting stuck in the same vein
of chaos of words, metaphors, excessively equivocal language and bizzare monologues once
again. However, to my utmost bewilderment, Laughter turned out not very elusive as I had
expected. I made hardly any endeavor to finish it all in one light read, and even had time for
reflective pauses during and after reading. Wow, is it me or the tale monster really that easy to tame

Washington s Troops In The Pursuit Of Happyness
This years I have chosen washington s troops in the pursuit of happyness. Not just happiness, but
the pursuit. As I start to talk to some of these other men, they look a little tired but not a ton as of
a few days without sleep. Then i found out why. We made a journey with 20,000 troops to new
york. This was a fast moving army and I know now why they were tired. But when we got there
on an island. When it got dark the fog settled in and rolled in very thick, couldn t even see me
hands on my musket. In the standing, we were surrounded by british and had no way out. We then
were helped by some fisherman and some small boats. Overnight all of us and the horse with
equipment in the thickest fag right under their cannon s. This is why we can call George our leader.

the pledge we took coming into this army. Give me liberty or give me death. SO I fell acting like
I got shot by this pile of supplies and started shooting with what little things I still had. Then I
looked over and saw another friend from the start and shooting next to me. Then when washington

Male Dominance in a Midsummer s Night Dream
To what extent is Shakespeare trying portray male dominance over the female characters, in A
Midsummer s Night Dream. Almost in every play of Shakespeare we can see the dominance of
males over women. In his plays women have no right to say what they think or what they want.
They are always expected to be faithful to their fathers and husbands. They don t have any
freedom about their lives. However we know that this attitude of men against women in
Shakespeare s plays is a reflection of Renaissance society. We can see the most remarkable
examples of male dominance in A Midsummer Night s Dream. The play opens with a tragic event.

Women in this play see themselves as weak once they are married or once they have sworn their
love to a man. Hippolyta, the warrior Queen, seems deflated with the fact that Theseus has
captured her and wants to marry her. When Theseus proudly talks about how he had taken her
by war, and how he couldn t wait to get married, her only reply is that the days will pass by
quick, demonstrating a lack of enthusiasm. Throughout the play, she doesn t say much, and her
opinion or preference is also not asked for, despite the fact that she, in her own right, is of
extreme importance and influence. Helena is shown as a faithful lover, but her dedication is at
times, irritating. Helena chases Demetrius relentlessly, despite his cruel treatment of her. She
appears, not mad at Demetrius for leaving her; but rather she blames herself for not being
attractive enough. When Lysander and Demetrius turn their affection towards Helena, she begins
to think they are mocking her. This presents to the audience her lack of self esteem. And will
you rent our ancient love asunder, to join with men in scorning your poor friend? It is not

The Impact Of Airbnb On Hotel Industry
The development of sharing economy in tourism and hospitality
The sharing economy has started become more prominent between 2011 and 2012 after the

Women s Rights From 1877 To The 1970s
The extension of women s rights from 1877 to the mid 1970s, has changed over time along with the
ideals of the different eras. From the original traditional values to those wild and free spirits that
dominated the culture in the seventies, since then women and their rights have changed.
The improvement of women s rights began back when Republicans first began to work on the
Fifteenth amendment, this amendment was ratified in 1870 and it made the denial of voting due to
race, illegal. The exclusion of women from this amendment caused women s right s activists to start

The most common ways women of different ethnicities were held back were by being barred
from certain jobs. Black, and Latina women were not allowed to work in the southern textile
industry, or hold a secretarial job like many white women did. Instead they were forced to
become maids, and laundresses. (Schaller 594) Another example of the lack of improvement for
women in minorities is the percentage of young Italian girls who were withdrawn from school, in
order for them to help support their family. Roughly 90% left school at the age of 14 to find work.
(Schaller 629) Even though white women were steadily making progress towards equality with
their own organizations, african american women did not see such immediate progress. So they
decided to create their own similar groups such as the National Association of Colored Women.
This group took its stance on it s own separate set of issues such as lynching, and defending the

Miller Vs. Johnson Case
Miller v. Johnson 1995 was a United States Supreme Court Case that decided whether racial
gerrymandering was unconstitutional or not. This issue was very controversial, but before
being able to understand how the case affected the use of racial gerrymandering, one has to
understand what gerrymandering is. Every state is made up of different districts, and each
district is entitled to their own votes when it comes to elections. Gerrymandering is the
manipulation of district boundaries in a way that creates a political advantage in elections by
putting a large group of people who are likely to vote for a certain party in one district. In the
case of Miller v. Johnson 1995, only one congressional district in Georgia was primarily African
American between 1980 and 1990. However, in 1990, Georgia s black population was at 27%,
and many African Americans felt that they were being underrepresented. Georgia s General
Assembly was prompted to re draw district boundaries in such a way that the black population
would be more represented in terms of electoral votes. Two drafts of boundaries were created that
were subsequently denied by the Justice Department. Finally, a draft was approved and an
additional black majority district was created. However, the new plan was considered an
abomination due to the way that it was geographically positioned. The third district alone split eight
counties and five municipalities and covered a territory of approximately 6,784 square miles. It

What do you think will be your greatest challenge?
On this trip, I anticipate communicating with people of a different culture may be a challenge.
Although I do not speak Brazilian Portuguese, I know that we will have a bilingual interpreter
with us as well as NJMS students who speak both languages and thus, I know that the language
barrier will not be a big challenge. More than the language, I want to be contentious on this trip
regarding acknowledging my privileges and that I need to understand the Brazilian approach to
medicine in the context of their culture as well as the resources available to them. Furthermore, I
understand that I have limited knowledge and skills as a first year medical student and so can only
provide basic medical services at this time. Therefore, I am most apprehensive about effectively
understanding and communicating with the Brazilian community and recognizing that currently I
am only able to provide a limited amount of aid to these communities.
4.How do you plan on financially supporting this endeavor? (Are you willing to fundraise as a
team, as well as apply to the available scholarships?)

Stary Messenger
To almost everyone in the sixteenth century, it was common knowledge that sun revolved
around the Earth. After all, the universities taught it, and the Papacy preached it. The
heliocentric theory was heresy, at best. Scientific fact was proven not by observation, or as we
know it today, the scientific method, it was instead proven by philosophy. If something appeared
to be true, then it was true. In 1610, Galileo published his book Starry Messenger , which was
created based on observations made with the newly invented telescope. This book, along with
others published at this time, effectively started the Scientific Revolution. Galileo was born in
Pisa in 1564 as the first child of Vincenzio Galilei. His father was a talented musician and textile

sometimes even feeds on small insects and brush that is found in the water. Which makes it an
invasive species in just about any lake it is introduced into. It is a great food fish and is also popular
to fisherman because it attacks attacks fishing lures.
Literature Review
Before being introduced into lake Victoria, the Nile Perch was mainly found spread out over the
Afrotropic ecozone. It is native to many river basins as in lake Chad and the Nile river it was
also found in Lake Maryut in the northern part of Egypt. The Nile was introduced to Lake Victoria
to try and help boost the fishing industry but little did they know it was going to cause many of
problems with other fish and insects in the water.
The Nile Perch is part of the fish family known as Latidae. It is a silver color with a blue like
fade. It has dark black eyes, with a yellow outer ring surrounding them. The Adult Nile perch can
occupy just about any kind of habitat as long as it has plenty of oxygen but the younger ones
tend to like the shallower parts of the water or anything that is close to the shore. It was
introduced into lake victoria in the 1950 s and has been a ecological problem ever since. It can
grow up to 6 feet and as big as 500 pounds. It gives commercial fisherman a fish to catch because it

Abby Wambach s Legacy
There are millions of people in this world, in fact, many are influential. These people have a
positive impact on the world by inspiring many people who need to show off their beliefs,
accomplishments, and make a legacy that everyone soon should know. Abby Wambach, she
shows these traits by letting the world know what she believes in and what she has
accomplished, she is not afraid to show herself to the world. Abby Wambach is influential
because of her beliefs, her athletic accomplishments, and her legacy. To begin, Abby Wambach is
influential to our nation because of her beliefs, she doesn t want her career to be her only fame,
she believes in gender equality, and she doesn t want to be noticed as a soccer player. For example,

Essay about Cognitive Development of Children
Piaget s phase concept explains the cognitive development of children. Cognitive development
implies transformation in the cognitive procedure and skills. In Piaget s vision, initial cognitive
development involves processes based upon measures and afterward proceeds into changes in the
cerebral operations. Schemas; a schema clarifies both the cerebral and physical actions occupied in
comprehending plus knowing. Schemas are sorts of information that help us to explain and
understand the world. In Piaget s vision, a schema includes both a group of understanding and the
procedure of gaining that knowledge. As practice occurs, this new information is used to adapt,
add to, or change formerly presented schemas. For example, a child may have a... Show more

As children progress through the phases of cognitive development, it is significant to keep a
balance between applying previous knowledge (assimilation) and changing behavior to account for
new knowledge (accommodation). Equilibration helps explain how children are adept to shift from
1 stage of theory into the next. The 1st stage of Piaget s concept survives from birth to roughly age
2 and is centered on the infant attempting to make sense of the world. During the sensor motor
stage, an infant s wisdom of the world is restricted to their sensory observations and motor
activities. Behaviors are restricted to trouble free motor reactions produced by sensory stimuli.
Children use skills and abilities they were born with, such as looking, sucking, grasping, and
listening, to learn more about the natural environment. The sensor motor stage can be separated
into 6 separate substages that are distinguished by the growth of a new skill. Throughout this
substage, the child appreciates the atmosphere entirely through inborn reflexes such as sucking and
looking. This substage involves coordinating sensation and new schemas. For example, a child may
perhaps such his or her thumb by accident and then later intentionally repeat the action. These
actions are repeated because the infant finds them pleasurable. During this substage, the

He could not sleep, He could not eat, He could not even drink. He prayed to the gods to save his
love Alia. The next morning the guards from the castle came to get him, to watch Alia be killed
by her own father. He didn t talk. When they arrived to the castle, they took him to the
punishment room and had his hands and feet chained, so he couldn t try and get up to save Alia.
They also chained his neck so tight he was forced to look down at her. When he would close his
eyes they would stab him in the hand. Finally some guards brought Alia onto the floor. She was
wearing a long, white, flowy dress. Her father walked in holding a sword. He stood over her.
Alia was brave, she didn t cry, didn t speak, didn t move, just waited for her death to come. The
king held the sword in the air and started to bring it down when a ram, with golden fleece,
charger into him, and knocked him down. The ram had been sent by Zeus, who heard Pollo s
prayers. The ram tore the chains off of Alia with his horns and threw her onto his back. The ram
then ran to Pollo and knocked down all of the guards surrounding him. He again tore off the
chains using his horns and Pollo jumped onto the rams back behind Alia. She looked behind her
shoulder and stared into his eyes. They hugged and she started weeping. He held onto her as the
ram ran out of the castle. He took them to a distant land where they lived normal, happy lives.

Path Analysis Paper
Main analyses involved running each of three models through AMOS SEM software separately,
using path analysis techniques to assess direct and indirect effects, among the present observed
variables (Arbuckle, 2013). Path analysis, which is based on multiple regressions, examines the
relationship between exogenous (i.e., variablenot causes by another variable, but effects one or
more variablesin model) and endogenous variables (i.e., a variable that is caused or effected by
one or more variables in a model; Iacobucci, 2010). Path models examine the total effects, as well
as the direct and indirect of effects of variables in a single model, simultaneously (Peterson et al.,
2014). Structural equation modeling path analysis techniques are superior to standard regression
analyses in that they: 1) provide more accurate estimates of the effects of hypothesized variables; 2)
estimate all effects simultaneously; 3) allow for greater accuracy of parameter estimates when
examining competing models; and 4) allow the researcher to compare effects of multiple mediators
(Zhao, Lynch, Chen, 2010).

Impact Of China s Economic Impact On Australian Property
The introduction The research shows that China has become enormously important to Australia s
economy as its largest export destination, a rapid source of growth in inbound international
tourism and migration, plus a strong source of foreign investment. (Leigh W, 2015) Due to report
of Australia s government records, since 30 June 2015, 28.2% of Australia s estimated resident
population was born overseas. And the number of people who comes from china is the third
largest group of Australia s estimated resident population group (excluding people born in
Australia). (Migration, 2015) as we know, ever since 1980s, China s students flock into Australia
to study. After they finished their study, quite a fair amount of them decide to get Australia s PR
or citizenship and stay in Australia. If people decide to stay, they need a place to live. So these
students certainly brought huge impact to Australia s real estate industry. The impact of China s
imigrat on Australian property has been both indirect through the impact on the broader economy
and direct through capital flows and Chinese developers building Australian businesses. (Leigh W,
2015) so, understanding the new generation of China s immigrate or will be is significant to
Australia s real estate company if they want to be successful. And this literature review is focusing

Visual Media: Is Seeing Really Believing?
Visual media is often used to express an idea or thought because it can do so in a more succinct
manner than an essay or article. Through a drawing, painting, or photograph, the artist can convey
his message in the few moments it takes to look at the artwork or read the caption. Despite this
seemingly simple medium, a visual media image still uses the three persuasive strategies, Logos,
Ethos, and Pathos, just as a written work does, and often there is the application of one or more
fallacies.
Breaking Home Ties, a painting by Norman Rockwell, depicts a father and son, one with a
dreadfully sullen expression, and one with a keen look of anticipation, as they wait for the train
that will take the son away to college for the first time. The father can be seen slumped over,
clutching two hats, his weather beaten farm hat and his son s dapper fedora, in his work
roughened hands. The son, in a suit, matching tie and socks, and gleaming shoes, sits erect with a
look of delight on his face as he waits for the new destination in his life, State U, as proclaimed by
the pennant on his suitcase. The family dog seems to express the melancholy emotion that the father
seems loathe to, by resting her head in the son s lap. It is as if she knows she is absorbing the last
moments together with her master.
According to Totallyhistory.com, Rockwell s art form was a style of its own and perhaps best
described as portraits of Americana, and

Etiquette In The Odyssey
Etiquette is not a term that we do not hear very often but whether or not we do, it is still
incorporated into almost every aspect of our lives. To me, etiquette is the manner in which
something is done, and it should govern the way we do certain things, depending on the task at
hand. It is something like the unspoken rules of society which are procedures to carry out certain
tasks that exist without us being conscious of their existence. Etiquetteis evident everywhere and
even dates back to Ancient Greece. In Homer s Odyssey, when the Goddess of Wisdom, Athena
disguises herself as a family friend and pays a visit to Telemachus, Odysseus s son, it was shown to
be that he greets Athena by shaking her right and taking her spear. That action... Show more content

After I moved to the United States in 2008, we slowly strayed away from this practice. This was
mainly due to it becoming impractical to eat on hardwood floor during the wintertime without
any carpets and when it did get warmer, we were too busy exploring our new environment and
eating out to continue the practice. Eventually, the practice faded away from us. However, a rule
of etiquette for eating for Muslims that my family and I still carry with us to this day is having to
eat with our right hands. This applies to all people no matter whether they are left handed or right
handed. This, unlike eating on the floor, is obligatory for all Muslims. This is enforced because it
was originally constructed so that it may promote peace as well as the absence of violence. This is
similar to the widespread and international etiquette of usually shaking the right hand as it showed
that those who were shaking hands mean no harm or have any intention of using violence in their
meeting. Similarly, the idea of eating with the left hand is related to the usage of violence which
our Prophet Muhammad directly correlates to Shaytaan (or Satan). The enforcing of this is directly
in line with an interpretation of rules of etiquette which states, All rules of etiquette exist to
promote harmony and prevent violence as it is in agreement to the original intent of Prophet
Muhammad, who enforced this

It is no longer deemed a safe way to bring in a show with lots of preview performances due to the
fact that as soon as an audience have seen the first preview they are able to write on many
different platforms their opinions, whether they be positive or negative critique. James
Seabright suggests in his book So You Want To Be A Theatre Producer? that it needs to be the
producers main concern that the show is ready for public viewing from the day of the first
preview as it is so much easier to get word around about a show using the likes of Facebook and
Twitter (Seabright, 2010). Although Andrew Lloyd Webber was offended by this newfound
love of social media, there is no embargo for paying audiences (Sadler, 2014). It can either fall as
a friend or a foe depending on how the audience receives it, if Twitter and blogs are bursting with
positivity then the producers need to use this to continue the hype until reviews from critics are
released, and if these don t speak too well then social media can just be pushed even more (O
Hanlon, 2014). It may start to become a matter of fact that previews are more important than the
official opening night. According to a survey conducted by Ticketmaster, almost one quarter of

Avatar Essay
Myths are supernatural or religious tales with cultural and historical backgrounds, often containing
moral lessons that are valued by the culture they originated from. The movie Avatar is a modern
myth, its popularity stemming from the inspiration it draws from familiar and widespread themes
found in classical myths. Avatarreuses and refreshes these themes for current audiences. Ancient
stories such as those of Icarus, Prometheus, Gilgamesh, and Hercules, as well as contemporary
issues, represent many of the same themes that are revealed in Avatar.
Avatar is the story of Jake Sully, a paraplegic marine that is sent to the world Pandora to take the

In the ancient Greek story of Icarus, Daedalus constructs a pair of wings made out of wax and
feathers for himself and his son Icarus to escape the Labyrinth in Crete. In their attempt to
overcome their human limitations, Icarus fails to obey his father s only rule: do not fly too close to
the sun. He reaches too far and the wax on his wings melts, causing him to plummet to his death.
This is often thought to illustrate the consequences humans must face when overreaching and
trying too hard to do what they are not meant to do. Icarus s failure to listen to common sense is
synonymous with the failure of the humans to listen to Jake Sully in Avatar. The humans cause the
death of any relationship with the Na vi due to their own negligence.
Another myth of a cautionary tale concerns Prometheus, a Titan, who chose to go against the
gods by stealing the secret of fire in order to help humans build society and live as gods. Yet in
the end, the humans suffer as Pandora is sent to earth with a box filled with terrible things with
which to punish the mortals who dared to take one of the things that separated gods from
humans: fire. The world of Pandora in Avatar is like the Pandora of myth. The humans had to
figuratively and literally dig deep into the world of Pandora to uncover the good and bad, just as
Pandora had to open a box to unleash hope and evil. Jake himself metaphorically opens Pandora s
Box by accepting the offer to be the

The Appalachian Trail Analysis
Bryson s main argument throughout the novel is that Americans yearn for the days of old,
represented through the Appalachian Trail, and one way he proves this is with his personal
encounters on the Appalachian Trail itself. For a trail as long and arduous as the Appalachian
Trail, it would be assumed that only serious and dedicated hikers would even consider hikingthe
trip. However, as Bryson demonstrates, this is not the case. Often times, ordinary American
citizens who may have never even hiked before decide to hike the trail. For this, it is not
necessary to look any further than the author and his partner Katz. Neither of them is
particularly fit and it Katz s case, well prepared mentally. Bryson even admits this when he states
that he ...was hopelessly out of shape... (Bryson 35) proving they were not avid hikers.
Throughout their hike, they also ran into a plethora of average citizens, and is one case they
...found a Boy Scout troop... (Bryson 147) that been hiking the woods. One day, after running
into a crowded shelter, Bryson noted that it was spring break at nearby colleges and ...scores of
young people all had the idea to come hiking... (Bryson 99). In all these cases, none of the people
hiking on the trail are actually athletic avid hikers, rather they are standard average citizens. Why
would average citizens decide to hike the Appalachian Trail? Bryson believes that the reason for
this is for people wanting to experience the beauty and simplicity of being

The Tell Tale Heart , by Edgar Allan Poe, was a very thought provoking and dark read. The
narrator of the story had some sort of disease that sharpened his senses. He watched over this
man who he loved and cared for significantly. The narrator had absolutely nothing against the
man, except one day he realized that the old man s pale blue eye drove him nuts. There was just
something about the eye that made him tick. Whenever it fell upon me, my blood ran cold; and
so by degrees, very gradually I made up my mind to take the life of the old man, and thus rid
myself of the eye forever. For seven nights, at midnight, the narrator would go into the old man s
room and put in a lantern. He would then, very slowly and quietly, open the lantern so

Genghis Khan Number One Conqueror Essay
Have you ever wondered who the number one conqueror in history is? I know as a fact that a lot
of people don t even ask that question but, this essay will discuss how I believe Genghis Khan is
the number one conqueror in history. As my reasoning, I support the idea that Genghis Khan is the

army or the Mongol Empire has conquered exceedingly more, not only did he subjugate more land
he on average took less time to occupy the land than others, and he and his empire has maintained
their land over a longer period than others.
First and foremost, Genghis Khan has vanquished approximately 12.5 million square Km, which is,

As another reason to how they lasted for 200 years is that, Genghis gave birth to many offspring

The Theory Of Social Learning Theory
This essay will demonstrate a knowledge and understanding and discuss the concept of social
learning theory, whilst taking into consideration and explaining the way children learn and
develop. This essay will focus on the overall concept of this theory and will explore the work of the
theorist Albert Bandura and how he contributes to the role of the adult and their understanding of
social learning. This essay will then examine the work of Urie Bronfenbrenner in relation to the
work of Bandura. Using this theoretical perspective it can benefit the adult by understanding of
children s learning and social development. Furthermore, this essay will link into practical and
reflect upon and analyse the relationship between theory and practice.
Social learning theory suggests that people learn from one another, this can be through observation,
imitation, media and modelling. This theory is often known as the behaviourist theory and
cognitive learning theory because it consists of using attention, memory, behaviour and motivation.
Social learning theory advocates that individuals, especially children, imitate or copy modelled
behaviour from personally observing others, the environment and the mass media . (Gray and
MacBlain, 2015). This is stating that a child will look up to someone they respect and class them
as models, the child may imitate their behaviour and the way they act. If a child s behaviour is then
reinforced the behaviour will occur again. This theory consists of

The teachings of the scientists of the time inspired a new cult to emerge that believed in the
scientific method of proving the physical world. This was, in my opinion, the final catalyst in the
formation of the Scientific Revolution. Scientism was The belief that science and the scientific
method can explain everything in the universe and that no other form on inquiry is valid.
The causes outlined and discussed above are by no means exhaustive and definite. They were,
however, important to the birth of the Scientific Revolution.
Secondly, the consequences of the Scientific Revolution were not felt immediately, nor were they
felt by the society as a whole. The Revolution, in its early stages, affected only the class of
gentleman that could either afford to learn about the sciences or the upper class noblemen. The
common, and majority, of the people did not feel the full effect of the Revolution until much later.
Martin Luther instigated the Protestant Revolution, which was felt through all classes and pay

bigger vacuum that was quickly and eagerly filled with more scientific reformers. This continued to

Obviously, It s your steady friend. It s in your pocket, in your pack, in your grasp, or against your
head. You utilize it at home, in class, at the rec center, in coffeehouses, before you go to rest
during the evening and first thing when you get up in the morning. I m talking, obviously, about
your mobile phone. How many of you use your mobile phone more than an hour a day? Of course,
everyone of us uses it many times each day. Yet, imagine a scenario where your steady friend is
unsafe to your wellbeing. Confirmation is heaping up that long haul utilization of mobile phone can
prompt tissue harm, tumors, and even cerebrum growth.

A. RF Safe has been offering consumers a radiation safe optional to wired hands free headsets more

destructive radiation not even close to your head.
2. According to John Coates, Founder of RF Safe Air Tube Headset, an air tube leads the sound to
your head, there are simply no electrical parts directing audio to your head. Much like a specialist s
stethoscope, just an air tube is utilized to direct sound to the headset.

protection that addresses three major areas of radiation exposure when using a headset.
1. This package features an air tube headset and RF Safe radiation protected case for your body

Erin Tam Monologue
To you, Erin Tam may just seem like another Asian girl in Monterey Park. I can assure you, she
isn t. This girl named Erin goes to a school called Repetto, and is currently in eighth grade, but
she isn t some random eighth grade either. Her insight on things aren t influenced by the internet,
and she refuses to fill her head with the nonsense of the average thirteen year old brain. After
interviewing her, I cannot say that me perspective of the world has miraculously changed, but I
will say that Tam has given me a gentler insight. As I mentioned before, Erin Tam is not your
average gossiping eighth grader. She would much rather spend her time studying, doing her work,
reading, or drawing. The seriousness she has on her school work reflects... Show more content on

Erin Tam sacrifices both time and energy to help her classmates with homework, or just to keep
them company. You may see her on the benches sitting down with her backpack and helping
another student. As nice as she is, she s picky about who to trust as her close friends. According
to her, a good friend is someone who will try to understand you when you re telling them things,
and won t judge, not a bobblehead friend that agrees with everything she says, though. Tam
understands when she s wrong and does not mind when you tell her. From this, I can tell you
she is a great friend. Even though serious, Tam takes time off from being a student and relaxes.
She enjoys watching anime and a show called Black Butler , who she says she is a fan girl of. Her
favorite show might begin with Black but her favorite color is yellow. Not only does she enjoy
yellow and Black Butler , but she also likes to play Minecraft and the Sims. Her reason for playing
these games is because she finds them fun, and she can express her creativity with

Passive Feminist
The dictionary tells us that feminist are women fighting for political, social, and personal equality.
The dictionary however, is not always correct because anyone in society, whether young or old,
man or woman, can be a feminist. What makes a person an active feminist, a passive feminist or if
they are solely against feminism? Many people have passively agreed with feminist ideals without
realizing they are doing so. I can say I am a passive feminist because I disagree with construction
signs indicating men working when womanmay also be working at the same construction site, but
have never created action to change the name of the signs indicating construction. I have no
problem associating myself as a passive feminist because I agree with... Show more content on

Anthony and Disney I placed Anthony as an active feminist and Disney as a passive feminist.
When I look at America today, I would place a majority of men and woman under the passive
feminist category. I feel a majority of people fall into those ideals because there are small
arguments regarding feminist issues, but no action is taken on a broader scale to promote
change. When I think of a feminist I think of someone such as Susan B. Anthony, who did
something regarding women s rights and made a positive change within society. In today s
society, technology regulates much of our daily life and technology is where people go to voice
their opinions about feminist ideals. Often times, celebrities will tweet about how woman can
stand alone from men and how woman should not be sent home for what they wear because it
could distract a male classmate. Those tweets circulate for a while but are soon forgotten. Those
celebrities who type those messages are not an active feminist, they are simply an American
utilizing their right of freedom of press under the First Amendment. Anyone can be a feminist, but
to be a feminist he or she needs to do more than tweet to create change. Circulating the idea is a
minimal step, one needs to advocate the issue on a more public level to create change for woman
and therefore be considered an active feminist. Some celebrities often argue for woman having
more equality with men and their ideals follow feminist s ideals, but they deny ever associating
themselves with the word. These people feel that if they say they are a feminist than, they are
saying that woman are better and more superior then men. These celebrities are acting as passive
feminist who are voicing their opinions about subjects related to the matter but doing nothing more
to create change. In another sense some celebrities are active feminist and want to promote change
but will still deny associating themselves with the name. People feel that if they

Historiography Of Karnataka
A much early historiography of Karnataka by Aluru Venkatarao also delineates on similar lines
identifying the juncture of Battle of Talikota in 1565 as the time of decline of glory of Karnataka.
In his 1917 work titled Karnataka Gatha Vaibhava , Aluru Venkata Rao writes thus:
Having flourished for 230 years this glorious kingdom disappeared in half a minute by accident. It
dies. That was the end of Karnataka s glory. The kumkum was wiped off Karnatakadevi s
forehead! The mangalsutra round her neck was cut! Karnataka s wealth was destroyed Karnataka
s intellectual wealth disappeared. The sun of Karnataka s valour set. To summarise: since that day,
we people of Karnataka have become an empty name in history. Oh, ye of Karnataka, has the time
still not arrived for a recovery of past glories? Think about it. (71)
For Aluru Venkata Rao, the glory of Karnataka has flourished for about 230 years, while the 1947
historiography of Karnataka takes it much farther back in time. However, a significant aspect to be
noticed in the above quoted excerpt is the metaphorical manner in which the land Karnataka is
sketched in the image of a goddess. The appropriation of Karnataka in the image of ... Show more

Shilpa Phadke, speaking in general about the Women s movement in Indiapoints to the fact that:
The movement in the late 1970s constructed itself as secular but did not make any effort to define
its identity as such. It was assumed that affiliations with the women s movement were based on
gender and positions of difference were articulately largely on grounds of class rather than caste or
religious community. Class was constructed as a modern identity unlike caste or religious
community, which were seen as pre modern identities to be transcended.

There are rural areas, in Africa that women have never heard of any form of birth control. In those areas, women have 6 or more children. Immigrants cross the border everyday. Americans think that they just walk over , no big deal. You never hear the real story; you never hear how they are treated. Once they actually get across, they get to live like they deserve, lavishly, right? That s far from the truth. They cross the border and get low paying jobs (usually 2 dollars an hour) and that s still better then what they would receive in their homeland. Isn t that something? Some Americans say that Immigrants are taking away jobs. What American would be willing to work for 2 dollars an hour as a janitor or maid? Not many. One American women,... Administration Essay Preparation Firstly, to prepare for the first administration of the CAS, I read the examiner manual which explained that in order for the results to be interpretable and avoid reducing of reliability and validity, the assessment should be administered according to the procedures and recommended testing conditions (Das Naglieri, 1997). There were several key points to be familiar with which are: the materials needed in each subtest (ie. Response book, red pencil, stopwatch), the starting points according to age, the time limits per item, scoring of each item, and the discontinue rules. I then reviewed the record forms, response booklets, and marked the starting points according to Jhallen s and Sierra s age with highlighter and post it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As a result, I made changes with Sierra s assessment and decided to split it in two sessions with two subtests each session in order to avoid fatigueness. Building Rapport According to Das and Naglieri (1997), it is important to establish rapport with the examinee but also be aware of providing praise and compliment that may influence the results. I found it fairly easy to build rapport with Jhallen as I have conducted an interview for the first assignment. As the setting was more relaxed, Jhallen often asked some questions in which I found it difficult to not repeat the item or give guidance. In order to not compromise the standardization of the test, I reminded Jhallen in every beginning of the task that I cannot give guidance. On the other hand, my assessment with Sierra required more effort in building rapport as she appeared to be shy and quiet in the beginning. In order to establish rapport I had a brief conversation about her day and introduced the assessment, emphasising that some of the tasks may be easy or difficulty but to try her best. To maintain rapport during the assessment, I made sure that she understood the instructions of every task and be aware that I could not provide help or feedback. Report Writing The CAS Examiner s Manual provided steps in scoring and interpreting the scores. I found the instructions to score the CAS results to be straightforward. It was also very ... A Thesis On Modernism Brian Blair Whitaker LA LIT 4 H B1 Ms. Gladstone 2/16/18 Modern Thesis Paper During the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, changes in the dynamics of society caused intellectuals to question the traditions of everyday life. From religious views to the arts of literature, traditional values and forms were rejected, thus defining a line between the two time periods, which can be considered as the start of the Modern era. Also known as Modernism, the modern era used literature as an outlet for expressing the thoughts and feelings of the time. • 7. Revenant Movie Vs Book Is the desire for revenge a basic component of human nature? The highly awarded movie The Revenant is an epic story of Hugh Glass s mission to seek revenge on those who had wronged him. The movie teaches many important life lessons, but they differ significantly in comparison to the book it s based on. Not only does the story teach important lessons, it is a notable legend in American folklore. The motion picture rendition of Michael Punke s book The Revenant changes the meaning of the book because despite the similarities in the characters and the initial storyline the ending scene redefines the book. The movie was able to portray the charter of Hugh Glass with uncanny accuracy to how he was depicted in the book. Both the movie and book... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In both stories, Glass plays an important role in the trapping expedition that he is on. In the beginning of the movie Glass is a guide for a return trip to a nearby fort after a successful trapping mission. Similarly, in the novel, Glass is a guide on an expedition to inhabit a formerly abandoned fort. This is a critical portion of the story because it is the first action that eventually develops the story into the epic tale that it is. Another important aspect that both the book and film have is the conflict with the ruthless native Ree tribe. In the book, the Ree tribe was intent on killing all the white settlers along the Grand River. In comparison to the movie in which the Ree were killing American trappers along the Grand River in an attempt to find the chief s missing daughter. The most significant section of the book was when Glass was brutally mauled by ta bear. The book had a very detailed account of Glass running into a large sow with her two cubs, and Glass was able to shoot the sow from close range as it barreled towards him. The movie took a more theatrical approach with Glass being initially knocked to the ground and mauled by the bear and then after it came back for a second attack he shot it. Not that Lolita was bad , no chance of that, but it exerted an impression which I would love to liken to a massive dose of LSD: lovely exasperating, trippy to the max, to a certain extent very similar to a case of migraine. Unfortunately, the black butterfly on its cover knew my dilemma and blinked with me. I brought the book, and soon envisioned myself getting stuck in the same vein of chaos of words, metaphors, excessively equivocal language and bizzare monologues once again. • 17. Miller Vs. Johnson Case Miller v. Johnson 1995 was a United States Supreme Court Case that decided whether racial gerrymandering was unconstitutional or not. This issue was very controversial, but before being able to understand how the case affected the use of racial gerrymandering, one has to understand what gerrymandering is. Every state is made up of different districts, and each district is entitled to their own votes when it comes to elections. Gerrymandering is the manipulation of district boundaries in a way that creates a political advantage in elections by putting a large group of people who are likely to vote for a certain party in one district. In the case of Miller v. Johnson 1995, only one congressional district in Georgia was primarily African American between 1980 and 1990. However, in 1990, Georgia s black population was at 27%, and many African Americans felt that they were being underrepresented. Georgia s General Assembly was prompted to re draw district boundaries in such a way that the black population would be more represented in terms of electoral votes. Two drafts of boundaries were created that were subsequently denied by the Justice Department. Finally, a draft was approved and an additional black majority district was created. However, the new plan was considered an abomination due to the way that it was geographically positioned. The third district alone split eight counties and five municipalities and covered a territory of approximately 6,784 square miles. It ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As children progress through the phases of cognitive development, it is significant to keep a balance between applying previous knowledge (assimilation) and changing behavior to account for new knowledge (accommodation). Equilibration helps explain how children are adept to shift from 1 stage of theory into the next. The 1st stage of Piaget s concept survives from birth to roughly age 2 and is centered on the infant attempting to make sense of the world. During the sensor motor stage, an infant s wisdom of the world is restricted to their sensory observations and motor activities. Behaviors are restricted to trouble free motor reactions produced by sensory stimuli. Children use skills and abilities they were born with, such as looking, sucking, grasping, and listening, to learn more about the natural environment. The sensor motor stage can be separated into 6 separate substages that are distinguished by the growth of a new skill. Throughout this substage, the child appreciates the atmosphere entirely through inborn reflexes such as sucking and looking. This substage involves coordinating sensation and new schemas. Path Analysis Paper Main analyses involved running each of three models through AMOS SEM software separately, using path analysis techniques to assess direct and indirect effects, among the present observed variables (Arbuckle, 2013). Path analysis, which is based on multiple regressions, examines the relationship between exogenous (i.e., variablenot causes by another variable, but effects one or more variablesin model) and endogenous variables (i.e., a variable that is caused or effected by one or more variables in a model; Iacobucci, 2010). Path models examine the total effects, as well as the direct and indirect of effects of variables in a single model, simultaneously (Peterson et al., 2014). Structural equation modeling path analysis techniques are superior to standard regression analyses in that they: 1) provide more accurate estimates of the effects of hypothesized variables; 2) estimate all effects simultaneously; 3) allow for greater accuracy of parameter estimates when examining competing models; and 4) allow the researcher to compare effects of multiple mediators (Zhao, Lynch, Chen, 2010). Through a drawing, painting, or photograph, the artist can convey his message in the few moments it takes to look at the artwork or read the caption. Despite this seemingly simple medium, a visual media image still uses the three persuasive strategies, Logos, Ethos, and Pathos, just as a written work does, and often there is the application of one or more fallacies. Breaking Home Ties, a painting by Norman Rockwell, depicts a father and son, one with a dreadfully sullen expression, and one with a keen look of anticipation, as they wait for the train that will take the son away to college for the first time. The father can be seen slumped over, clutching two hats, his weather beaten farm hat and his son s dapper fedora, in his work roughened hands. The son, in a suit, matching tie and socks, and gleaming shoes, sits erect with a look of delight on his face as he waits for the new destination in his life, State U, as proclaimed by the pennant on his suitcase. It is something like the unspoken rules of society which are procedures to carry out certain tasks that exist without us being conscious of their existence. This was mainly due to it becoming impractical to eat on hardwood floor during the wintertime without any carpets and when it did get warmer, we were too busy exploring our new environment and eating out to continue the practice. Eventually, the practice faded away from us. However, a rule of etiquette for eating for Muslims that my family and I still carry with us to this day is having to eat with our right hands. This applies to all people no matter whether they are left handed or right handed. This, unlike eating on the floor, is obligatory for all Muslims. This is enforced because it was originally constructed so that it may promote peace as well as the absence of violence. This is similar to the widespread and international etiquette of usually shaking the right hand as it showed that those who were shaking hands mean no harm or have any intention of using violence in their meeting. Similarly, the idea of eating with the left hand is related to the usage of violence which our Prophet Muhammad directly correlates to Shaytaan (or Satan). The enforcing of this is directly in line with an interpretation of rules of etiquette which states, All rules of etiquette exist to promote harmony and prevent violence as it is in agreement to the original intent of Prophet Muhammad, who enforced this ... It is no longer deemed a safe way to bring in a show with lots of preview performances due to the fact that as soon as an audience have seen the first preview they are able to write on many different platforms their opinions, whether they be positive or negative critique. James Seabright suggests in his book So You Want To Be A Theatre Producer? that it needs to be the producers main concern that the show is ready for public viewing from the day of the first preview as it is so much easier to get word around about a show using the likes of Facebook and Twitter (Seabright, 2010). Although Andrew Lloyd Webber was offended by this newfound love of social media, there is no embargo for paying audiences (Sadler, 2014). It can either fall as a friend or a foe depending on how the audience receives it, if Twitter and blogs are bursting with positivity then the producers need to use this to continue the hype until reviews from critics are released, and if these don t speak too well then social media can just be pushed even more (O Hanlon, 2014). It may start to become a matter of fact that previews are more important than the official opening night. The movie Avatar is a modern myth, its popularity stemming from the inspiration it draws from familiar and widespread themes found in classical myths. Avatarreuses and refreshes these themes for current audiences. Ancient stories such as those of Icarus, Prometheus, Gilgamesh, and Hercules, as well as contemporary issues, represent many of the same themes that are revealed in Avatar. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the ancient Greek story of Icarus, Daedalus constructs a pair of wings made out of wax and feathers for himself and his son Icarus to escape the Labyrinth in Crete. In their attempt to overcome their human limitations, Icarus fails to obey his father s only rule: do not fly too close to the sun. He reaches too far and the wax on his wings melts, causing him to plummet to his death. This is often thought to illustrate the consequences humans must face when overreaching and trying too hard to do what they are not meant to do. Icarus s failure to listen to common sense is synonymous with the failure of the humans to listen to Jake Sully in Avatar. The humans cause the death of any relationship with the Na vi due to their own negligence. Another myth of a cautionary tale concerns Prometheus, a Titan, who chose to go against the gods by stealing the secret of fire in order to help humans build society and live as gods. Yet in the end, the humans suffer as Pandora is sent to earth with a box filled with terrible things with which to punish the mortals who dared to take one of the things that separated gods from humans: fire. The world of Pandora in Avatar is like the Pandora of myth. • 30. The Appalachian Trail Analysis Bryson s main argument throughout the novel is that Americans yearn for the days of old, represented through the Appalachian Trail, and one way he proves this is with his personal encounters on the Appalachian Trail itself. For a trail as long and arduous as the Appalachian Trail, it would be assumed that only serious and dedicated hikers would even consider hikingthe trip. However, as Bryson demonstrates, this is not the case. Often times, ordinary American citizens who may have never even hiked before decide to hike the trail. For this, it is not necessary to look any further than the author and his partner Katz. Neither of them is particularly fit and it Katz s case, well prepared mentally. Bryson even admits this when he states that he ...was hopelessly out of shape... (Bryson 35) proving they were not avid hikers. Throughout their hike, they also ran into a plethora of average citizens, and is one case they ...found a Boy Scout troop... (Bryson 147) that been hiking the woods. One day, after running into a crowded shelter, Bryson noted that it was spring break at nearby colleges and ...scores of young people all had the idea to come hiking... (Bryson 99). In all these cases, none of the people hiking on the trail are actually athletic avid hikers, rather they are standard average citizens. Why would average citizens decide to hike the Appalachian Trail? Bryson believes that the reason for this is for people wanting to experience the beauty and simplicity of being ... The narrator of the story had some sort of disease that sharpened his senses. He watched over this man who he loved and cared for significantly. The narrator had absolutely nothing against the man, except one day he realized that the old man s pale blue eye drove him nuts. There was just something about the eye that made him tick. Whenever it fell upon me, my blood ran cold; and so by degrees, very gradually I made up my mind to take the life of the old man, and thus rid myself of the eye forever. I know as a fact that a lot of people don t even ask that question but, this essay will discuss how I believe Genghis Khan is the number one conqueror in history. As my reasoning, I support the idea that Genghis Khan is the number one conqueror in history because, compared to other leaders and empires; Genghis Khans army or the Mongol Empire has conquered exceedingly more, not only did he subjugate more land he on average took less time to occupy the land than others, and he and his empire has maintained their land over a longer period than others. First and foremost, Genghis Khan has vanquished approximately 12.5 million square Km, which is, inferiorly further than what other conquerors have overcome.
