Advantages And Disadvantages Of Z Waves
Terahertz (THz) waves, or T rays, refer to electromagnetic radiation in the frequency range of 0.1 10
THz. THz waves occupy the region between microwaves and the infrared, as shown in Figure 1.1.
Until about two decades ago, when THz time domain spectroscopy technique was invented, the THz
spectrum had remained more or less unexplored and unutilized. However, the development of ultrafast
lasers and derivative techniques such as photocon¬ductive switching and sampling and electro optic
generation and detection in the 1980s made it feasible to study the THz waves.
Fig. 1.1: Position of terahertz spectrum (1 10 THz). This range is also known as the far infrared, or sub
millimeter range, and the lower limit is often extended down to 300 GHz (λ ... Show more content on

Investigating biological characteristics and dynamics using THz techniques has both advantages and
disadvantages. One of the most important advantages is the low energy of THz waves, corresponding
to a few meV, which is well below the ionization energies of atoms and molecules. This means that we
can study materials with THz waves without disturbing the system under study, unless enough power
is applied to cause a significant increase in temperature. The other major advantage is that the
characteristic energy of the hydrogen bond, which is the most dominant bond in biological molecules,
lies in the THz frequency range and, therefore, THz waves can directly detect spectral features such as
resonances and motions of molecules. However, a serious disadvantage is the high absorption of THz
waves by the water in which biological molecules reside. This water absorption can mask the
characteristic features of samples, even though biological dynamics naturally occur in water. All of the
above is some applications in THz region, for more details and applications see

Autodidactic And Active Learner-Active Learning
Autodidactic, Active Learner Active learning is a learning style whereby the student is tasked to
inquire, gather, analyze and perform higher order reasoning. The active learning strategy attempts to
engage the student on a spectrum of communication types. Active learning stimulates different regions
of the brain and the simultaneity ties them together. For instance reading activates the visual cortex,
listening the temporal lobe, writing the cerebellum, analyzing the prefrontal lobes. This is also know
as whole brain learning. This is aptly described in the adage Cells that fire together, wire together. The
student that is able to learn independently of a formal class is called a self directed learner or
autodidactic. To be a self directed learner the student must rely on self motivation. This is also referred
to as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Meaning that the same process of learning can be reapplied indefinitely. Self motivated learning can
also be entertaining. Being able to fill unassigned personal time with learning is a more profitable
expenditure, than partaking in the escapisms of the gaming, entertainment sports industries. Perhaps
with the exception of documentaries. On the other hand there are deficits in self motivated learning. In
leader lead or group learning the student and teacher experience resonance in their mirror neurons.
Neurons sympathetically imitate across a group of individuals, creating a commonality. Since this
interaction is not promoted by self learning. Individuals might find difficulties with self learning.
Experiencing feelings of distance, isolation and lack of inclusion. Individuals with Autism Spectrum

motivated learning may not be as profitable a venture. In some cases learning needs a pedigree like

Hall Of Justice Analysis
During the conversation between Joe and Louis in Act II, Scene 7, Joe explains that the day before, he
accidentally showed up for work at the Hall of Justice on a Sunday. Due to the fact that the Hall is
closed on Sundays, Joe arrived to discover a deserted courthouse and panicked, thinking, The whole
Hall of Justice, it s empty, it s deserted, it s gone out of business. Forever (Kushner 78). Although it
was deserted simply due to the fact that it was Sunday, the empty Hall of Justice symbolizes freedom.
Specifically, this can be seen when Joe states, It would be...heartless terror. Yes. Terrible, and...Very
great. To shed your skin, every old skin, one by one and then walk away, unencumbered, into the
morning (Kushner 78 79). This shows that an empty Hall of Justice would ... Show more content on

In turn, individuals would then have the freedom to determine their own beliefs regarding justice. This
can be seen when Joe states, I just wondered what a thing it would be...if overnight everything you
owe anything to, justice, or love, had really gone away. Free (Kushner 78), which again shows that an
empty Hall of Justice symbolizes freedom from both the Hall and the idea of justice itself. Aside from
this point in the play, the subject of justice had been brought up twice before. Immediately preceding
Joe s description of an empty Hall of Justice, in Act II, Scene 6, Joe had struggled with the concepts of
justice and ethics when contemplating accepting the job offer Roy had provided him with.
Specifically, Roy obtained the opportunity to join the Justice Department in Washington, D.C. in order
to help prevent Roy from becoming disbarred. Upon realizing this, Joe proclaims, Even if I said yes to
the job, it would be illegal to interfere. With the hearings. It s unethical. No. I can t (Kushner 73),
realizing that accepting the job opportunity would make him obligated to act unjustly according to the
law and ethics. In response, Roy argues, I must have eyes in

Why We Shouldn T Animal Testing Be Used In Biomedical...
There are over 100 million animals poisoned, abused, or injured every year in labs, 95% of theses
animals aren t protected by the law. The use of animals in laboratories often amounts to legally
sanctioned animal abuse. Animals being tested on are kept away from the public for a reason. The
word vivisection, means the act of performing operations on live animals for scientific research or
experiments. Besides, drugs that pass animal tests are not always necessarily safe for humans. Animals
should not be used in biomedical research because of what the animals have to go through, the
expenses, and because there are alternative methods to animal experimentation.
The things the animals go through in experiments is horrific. Right now, millions of mice, rats, rabbits,
primates, cats, dogs, and other animals are locked inside barren cages in laboratories across the
country. They languish in pain, ache with loneliness, and long to be free. Instead, all they can do is sit
and wait in fear of the next terrifying and painful procedure that will be performed on them (Animals
Used for Experimentation). This isn t just telling you what the animals go through, but trying to put
you in the animal s shoes. Animal testing is cruel and inhumane. Most experiments with animals have
mistakes wasting the lives of the animals in them. The majority of animals used ... Show more content

Five Elements Of Hilia
Mid August The four elements Fire, Air, Water, and Earth are what makes up Hilia (ha lay a), without
these elements Hilia as we know it would be no more. To protect the elements, the elements would
give special powers every 200 years to five children. Those five children that the elements chose,
would be taken away from their family at a young age and would be taught everything about the world
and more things no one could even imagine. Once the five children learned all that they could, the
elements would choose the most powerful one of them all, to be the leader of Hilia and also know as
the light element. With the good comes evil, Hilia has to have a balance of both to remain stable, so
the elements must pick another five children, but those children would not serve as light, they would
serve as the darkest part of Hilia. I was only two years old when I was taken from my family, I don t
even know what my family looks like, or even if I have a family. I am the youngest out of the five
children that were taken away. The oldest one of us comes first and is named Logan, he is seventeen

My Motivation To Go Back To College
Motivation
There is a ton of things that motive me to go back to college. One would be my daughter; she inspires
me in so many ways. Just as much as she looks up to me, I look up to her. Here lately, we have been
dealing a lot with her health problems that we have found in the past 5 years. Even though her body is
giving her trouble, she is going to college for Hotel Restaurant Administration and holding down a
job. I am so proud of her. Then there is my son, He went to college for two years and had some trouble
with it. But did really good with it. I am wanting to show them that you can go back to college and get
a degree in whatever degree they want no matter how old you are or think you can t for whatever
reason.
Purpose
My purpose is to show whoever is seating there reading my resume, that I got what it takes. And I can
and will make it happen no matter what it is. Every time I go to a job interview, they are always
looking for a degree. Even though, I do already have one in Medical Insurance Billing and Coding,
and have a long job history in office and management field. I feel my resume is not showing them that
I can do the job that I am applying for. So they go and hire someone with more experience or has a
degree behind them. I live in a small town of 4,700. So getting an office job here, means you better
have what they are looking for. With this degree, I will be able to drive to the city and apply for a job
that will pay good and have benefits that will support my family, just in case my husband leaves the
oilfield for who knows what reason.

Uses And Function Of Carbon Nanotubes
Abstract
This presentation will introduce you to the use and function of Carbon Nanotubes in the delivery of
pharmaceuticals in medicine. Nanotechnology is a developing science that involves the manipulation
of materials. This is executed on the scale of fewer than 100 nanometers. The goal of this technology
is to optimise the utility and therefore increase the control of atoms and molecules. This presentation
will explain what carbon nanotubes are, the purpose of using them in the delivery of pharmaceuticals
in medicine and of course how they have improved scientific research so far.
What are Carbon Nanotubes?
Carbon nanotubes are cylindrical in shape and, made up of carbon atoms that have extraordinary
properties. At a singular level, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This relies on the fact that they are hollow and also quite a lot smaller than blood cells. A few basic
structures of carbon nanotubes is shown in figure three. The diameter of carbon nanotubes can range
between less than 1 nanometer up to 50 nanometers. This sizing could also be shown as less than 1.0E
7 cm to 5.0E 6 cm. Although carbon nanotubes have many great qualities, there is one property still
being researched, and this is the toxicity of carbon nanotubes. This sizing could also be shown as less
than 1.0E 7 cm to 5.0E 6 cm. Researchers believe that the toxicity may be harmful to patients and
thus, the use of carbon nanotubes have not yet been approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
Purpose of Carbon Nanotubes
One reason for the use of Carbon Nanotubes, as stated earlier, is because of small size. As carbon
nanotubes are extremely small, they are able to move around the blood stream easily. Other uses of
Carbon Nanotubes in the delivery of medicine are their use as channels for biosensors, sheath for
enzymes and transfection in DNA. Carbon nanotubes are said to be the next generation of technology
in drug delivery. This is for many reasons such as its water solubility, it has a highly stable dispersion

A Brief Note On Arizona State University For Admission
I am applying to Arizona State University for admission to the Master of Science Program in
Industrial Engineering. I am interested in learning subjects like Statistics, Operational research,
Computer aided manufacturing, six sigma, Product development, Project management, Supply chain
management, Quality control and Information systems engineering.
I was brought up in a small village in India, where agriculture was the primary occupation. My father,
being a farmer could not either use modern equipment or adopt good farming practices in agriculture
to get high yields. It was because he lacked formal education in his life. He realized that education is a
key to replace an empty mind with an open one. He felt that higher quality education is the need for
my future. So, he encouraged me to apply for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) schools run under
The Ministry of Human Resource Development in India. JNV schools were specifically tasked with
finding talented students in rural areas of India and provide them with higher quality education. I got
admission in this top tier school based on merit in the entrance exam. After getting admission in this
school, I had to stay away from my parents in a residential hostel. During that time, I have learned to
be self dependent, disciplined and sportive.
While I was preparing for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya school entrance exam, I have developed
an interest in Mathematics. Since then, I started learning more about Mathematics. This

The Ideal Image Of Nuclear Family And How I Met Your...
The ideal image of nuclear family used to be described as a male husband, a female wife and their
kids; however, in few decades, the term family has become diverse without any blood related
relationships. Because of this recent change of family values, it is easy to find that present television
shows also reflect the new concept of family and influence the recognition of the viewers at the same
time. Among many TV programs such as Simpsons , F is for family and How I met your mother ,
Modern Family is a representative show dealing with modern family types and values. It is a domestic
TV sitcom of ABC, featuring the lives of three different types of fictional families. Apart from the
humorous stories, it becomes very popular because of suggesting that friendly characters are easy to
relate to real life. It shows innovative aspects of family structures including a gay couple with an
adopted baby and an interracial marriage between a divorced old man with a much younger woman. In
addition, its form is a fake documentary about when family members agree to participate in interviews
for a documentary, but they don t actually realize how much they are revealing their lives themselves.
Also, the main theme of the show is But that s the thing about family: no matter how badly you
behave, hopefully they ll forgive (Modern Family Synopsis, 2011). The show has a favourable notice

Essay On Cherub Rock And To Forgive
The songs Cherub Rock and To Forgive by Smashing Pumpkins are drastically different at first
glance. Some may think that the only similarity between the two songs is their artist However as one
moves through each song one can see how each song can be connected by either similar lyrics, ideas,
structure, or styles of repetition.
As we start on the song Cherub Rock from the album Siamese Dream, let s look to the beginning. The
start of the songs features upbeat guitars that quickly mix with a dirty rock rhythm, contrasting To
Forgive. The songs lyrics start off by saying freak out and give in. Doesn t matter what you believe in .
Given the rest of the songs lyrics this could be referring to blending in and doing what someone else
wants due to the lyrics, be somebody s fool this year. Cause they know. Who is righteous, what is bold

To Forgive features a different style of repetition that parallels the previous lyrics. The lyrics I knew
my loss before I even learned to speak and but I played along to my birthday song are very similar to
previous lyrics, basically repeating the pre chorus. This could be done to emphasize ideas without
repeating the pre chorus verbatim. The song then goes on to repeat the chorus once more. The feelings
of loss of control, emptiness, or childhood sadness are expressed in Cherub Rock and To Forgive are
not positive feelings. These feeling cause each song to have a similar message and tone to one another,
without the listeners realization. Even though the songs are pretty different overall this tone causes the

An Evaluation Of Intervention ( Rti )
Response to Intervention (RtI) is an academic framework that has been adopted by school districts
across the country to help create a structure in which all students receiving the supports they need to
be successful in school. The RtI Action Network defines RtI as a multi tier approach to the early
identification and support of students with learning and behavior needs.
(http://www.rtinetwork.org/learn/what/whatisrti) An RtI framework addresses both academic concerns
and behavior concerns. The behavior framework of RtI is often called Positive Behavioral
Interventions and Supports or PBIS. RtI has three tiers in which to address the academic and
behavioral needs of all students. Tier 1 consists of high quality instruction to all students, including
differentiation, and subsequent screening of all students to determine who is in need of further
support. Tier 2 are targeted interventions for those students who are screened and it has been
determined these students are in need of greater support than what is provided in Tier 1 alone. Tier 3
consists of intensive interventions for those students who have shown little or no progress with tier 2
interventions and school personnel have determined the student needs more intense and individualized
support. As a school counselor I will be very involved with both RtI Academics and PBIS as a
framework to work with all students and determine the level of support each individual student will
need.

Consequences Of Statistical Inferences Providing A Result
Consequences of statistical inferences providing a result rather than an answer could include
researchers incorrectly applying related management implications to their studies, when in reality they
are applying a treatment that was not correctly interpreted. This could result in the new study
producing a non significant result when a biologically significant result should have been detected.
Researchers desperate for a significant P value may claim an observation that was not present in the
study, or perform researchers degrees of freedom, which is defined as decision making as researchers
conduct the study, and not beforehand.
b. Truth cannot be derived from a single study; it must be repeated to increase the precision of the
study and therefore the strength of inference made about the results. Often, using the same sample and
similar methods will not procure similar results, and therefore a consensus of studies should be
provided to make a general claim. Studies that truly follow the scientific method and include
randomization and repeatability will be closer to discovering the truth than other studies.
c. In the vitamin E study, the first studies conducted on the effects on vitamin E continued to be cited
and defended even when new evidence showed their results were incorrect because they felt true. This

miserable and desperate. There are many possible sources of Katherine s unhappiness: she expresses
jealousy about her father s treatment of her sister, but her anxiety may also stem from feelings about

Gender Roles In The Cult Of True Womanhood
A gender role is a social role that shows the acceptable behaviors and attitudes based on a person s
sexuality. Gender roles and stereotypes are centered on the concepts of femininity and masculinity.
Gender roles differ with each culture in the way that they are accepted. Gender roles date all the way
back to the Industrial Revolution, which took place around the 19th century. Men did all the hard labor
while the women looked after the cottages and cared for the children during this time, that was the
gender norms back then.
Women s gender stereotypes came through The Cult of True Womanhood, which was an idea that

Ethics of care can be defined as a normative ethical theory often considered a type of virtue ethics.
Dominant traditional ethical developed ethical theories based on an understanding of society as the

impartiality, universality, utility and preference satisfaction; care ethics, on the other hand, developed
based on the understanding of the individual as an interdependent, relational being and emphasized the

everything with equal weight. Remembering a unique event, such as the Holocaust, it becomes linked

Palestine, but of the memories and names of Palestine. Maragalit refers to it as a double murder, to be
killed not only in body but in name. Memory is also said to have the possibility to be institutionalized
and influenced by emotions. In the last section, the author used the feminist argument of the ethics of

Smallpox Epidemic of 1775
During the Revolutionary War, one of the main fears were not the enemies bullets, but fear of disease.
One of the major viruses that people had to fear was smallpox. The continental army had more to fear
than the British in the fact that British had been immunized, and the continental army had not. This
was only the beginning of the problems from the smallpox epidemic that broke out in America.
Smallpox was most commonly brought to America during the eighteenth century by English
immigrants or recently ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There were, of course, several soldiers that secretly inoculated themselves. Smallpox struck the
Northern Army at Quebec, where many soldiers and officers were secretly inoculating themselves,
increasing the epidemic. According to General Benedict Arnold, some 1,200 of the approximately
3,200 Continentals in the Montreal area were unfit for duty, most of them sick with smallpox. By the
end of May 1776, the situation of Northern Department patients was almost sufficient to excite the
pity of Brutes, Large barns filled with men at the very heighth of smallpox and not the least things, to
make them comfortable and medicines being needed at both Fort George and Ticonderoga.
Washington could not afford to have a large number of his men incapacitated for a month, vulnerable
to attack by the British. Washington eventually instituted a system where new recruits would be
inoculated with smallpox immediately upon enlistment. As a result soldiers would contract a milder
form of the disease at the same time they were being outfitted with uniforms and weapons. Soldiers
would consequently be completely healed, inoculated, and supplied by the time they joined the

enjoy putting myself in positions where I can learn about new things and people, which in turn, helps
me learn more about myself and what I am passionate about.
At Cal Baptist, I am looking forward to the challenging subjects and rigorous schedule I will be

The Income Statement
As it has always been a point of concern that people pay attention to the profitability of a company
and this can be as a result of several reasons. For example, let s picture a company that was not able to

lender or creditor may be reluctant to extend additional credit to the company. While on the other
hand, if a company operates profitably, the bottom line of the income statement will indicate a net

Why The Bank Of England Introduced A Quantitative Easing...
this essay I will be explaining why the Bank of England introduced a quantitative easing programme
and how it operates as well as explaining the effect this programme has had by evaluating if it has
been successful. My essay is in five sections: what is quantitative easing, when was it used and why,
how does it work, impacts of the programme and finally has it been successful. What is quantitative
easing?
Quantitative easing is increasing the flow of money into the financial system. Money has three
functions:
1. Unit of account
2. Store of value
3. Means of payment
Quantitative easing uses money as a means of payment. It is used as a tool of monetary policy when
the other tool of monetary policy which is interest rate is near zero and not increasing. Monetary
policy concerns the way in which government actions shift how money is used.
When was it used and why?
The Bank of England started to use quantitative easing in early 2009 as an act of loose monetary
policy to boost the economy after the recession of 2008. When economy falls into recession, incomes
fall as unemployment rises this means that the government pays more benefits increasing the budget
deficit. This also means that consumer expenditure decreases as consumptions fall with income
falling.
Therefore the excess expenditure needs to be covered it can be covered by taxes, issuing bonds,
issuing money. Increasing taxes will not work as unemployment has gone up. As well as this
increasing tax will not work

Module 3 Research Certification Essay Essay
Subject: Module 3 Research Certification Essay In order to maintain well organized and managed
processes, every organization will need to implement some form of inspection methods or adhere to
inspections set forth by overarching authorities. For airports serving, or intending to serve, air carrier
operations, the Federal Aviation administration s (FAA) Regulations 14 CFR Part 139 defines specific
policies, activities, and standards for airfield operations management that are required for compliance
(Wells Young, 2011). In addition, the FAAAdvisory Circular (AC) 150/5200 18C provides
information to airport operators on airport self inspection programs and identifies items that airport
operators should include in such a program (U.S. Department of Transportation, 2004). Using these
two references, applicable airports are equipped to conduct self inspections, which are vital to
ensuring safe operations and compliance with stated requirements. The U.S. Government Publishing
Office details the FAA 14 CFR Part 139 on its website, which spells out the frequency that the airport
must be inspected. It provides that this should be done daily, except as otherwise required by the
Airport Certification Manual, when required by any unusual condition, such as construction activities
or meteorological conditions, that may affect safe air carrier operations, and immediately after an
accident or incident (U.S. Government Publishing Office, 2016). In essence, the airport will be

Robin Williams Suicide
A standard feature article or personality profile, to be declared as a riveting one, should be written in a
style of fiction, patched with pictures and characterized with quotes from the exclusive interview. But
given a death of a celebrity situation, what could be the new measures in producing a cordial article
that can both celebrate and mourn the death of the person? On the September 11, 2014 issue of the
magazine Rolling Stone, writer David Browne came back with a cover story featuring the famous
actor behind Mrs. Doubtfire, Robin Williams who committed suicide exactly a month before. Being

Browne interviewed the family members of Williams, especially his children. That could have given
the article a more touching side. Considering it was written a month after, Browne may have

A Guide to the Initial Public Offering Process
A milestone for any company is the issuance of publicly traded stock. While the motivations for an
initial public offering are straightforward, the mechanism for doing so is complex. In this paper, we
outline the process by which companies are brought to market in an initial public offering. Our goals
here are to delineate the specific steps ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The remaining portion of the gross spread (approximately 20%) is used to cover underwriting
expenses (underwriter counsel, road show expenses, etc.). If anything remains after deducting all
expenses, it is divided proportionately among the underwriter and syndicate members depending on
the amount of securities each underwrote. One of the lead underwriter s first agenda items (usually
before any significant expenses have been incurred) is to draft a letter of intent. Indeed, an important
aspect of the letter of intent is to protect the underwriter against any uncovered expenses in the event
the offer is withdrawn either during the due diligence and registration stage, or during the marketing
stage. Thus, the letter of intent contains a clause requiring the company to reimburse the underwriter
for any out of pocket expenses incurred during the process. Another important aspect of the letter is
the gross spread or the underwriting discount. In most cases, the gross spread is 7% of the proceeds
(see Chen and Ritter, 1998 for an excellent discussion of the uniform size of the gross spread). The
letter also typically includes: a commitment by the underwriter to enter into a firm commitment
agreement (or other underwriting agreements, as the case may be); an agreement by the company to
cooperate in all due diligence efforts, and to make available all relevant

Mixed Methodology For Data Collection And Analysis
The study will use a mixed method approach in data collection and analysis to provide enriched data.
Mixed methodology will provide a useful inter play between qualitative and quantitative approaches
and capture the best of both. This study will use an embedded design of mixed methodology (Plano
Clark et al. 2008) because the research has different questions that need both quantitative and
qualitative data to provide answers. However, the study will be a qualitatively driven mixed
methodology wherein the qualitative data will be the core component/approach and the quantitative
approach will provide the supplementary data (Qualquan mixed method). Furthermore, as there is
little research on this subject area in Canada, using a qualitative strategy will allow for the discovery
of unexpected issues and an in depth exploration of perceptions via Indigenous methods. The study
will utilize a before/after design by comparing the knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) of the same
group of people before and after the intervention (O Leary 2014). In addition, the study will use a
sequential strategy of inquiry herein; data from one method will inform the other in order to gain
better understanding of the research problem. The qualitative data will be collected prior to the
intervention so as to inform the intervention design, and after the intervention to follow up and better
understand the outcome of the intervention. The quantitative method on the other hand, will be used to

A Long Way Gone
Emily Bronte and Paul Dunbar
Have you ever had that feeling of wanting to free yourself from something, breaking the wall that
holds you back, cutting the string that won t let you go on and be free? Emily Bronte in her poem The
Caged Bird and Sympathy by Paul Dunbar portray their feelings in their lyric poems. Bronte was born
in 1818 in Yorkshire, England. She lived during the end of the romantic period, which made a huge
impact on her writings. Romanticism was an artistic and intellectual movement originating in Europe
in the late 1700s and characterized by a heightened interest in nature, emphasis on the individual s
expression of emotion and imagination... ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first element our writers used to express their message of wanting to be free is form. The narrator
for The Caged Bird feels alone and wishes to be able to snatch the chains that keep her tied down.
Also, in the poem Sympathy by Dunbar as well an in The Caged Bird both authors used a bird to
symbolize the captivity and aspiration for freedom. Both poets wrote their piece in lyric form because
of obvious reasons. A lyric poem is defined as a poem that expresses personal and emotional feelings.
Writing poems with this form shows the amount of deep emotion that the narrator feels toward this
work. In addition, both authors wrote their poems in iambic pentameter to make the poem sound like a
natural flow of speech to really show the deep feelings the poets are feeling.
Using elements of language such as imagery and alliteration to give her readers a visual of what she is
feeling and the oppression she is going through. In line 6 of Bronte s poem, she describes the world as
Earth s breezy hills and heaven s blue sea , using adjectives to arouse and grasp her feeling of being
free in nature. After this she starts to use words, which represents captivity such as chain and alone.
She says, Could my hand unlock the chain/ how gladly I would watch it

Led Night Light Research Paper
Options In Emergency Lighting During A Power Outage
When your power goes out at night, it can be a dangerous situation if you have to stumble around in
the dark to find a flashlight or candle. If you ve not used a flashlight in a long time, you may not even
know where it is. This makes it difficult to get to your kids in a hurry when they might be afraid or
roaming around the house looking for you. A solution is to install lights that automatically come on
when the power goes out. Here are some options to consider.
LED Night Lights With Battery Power
LED bulbs are ideal in battery powered lights because they last a long time and don t use much
energy. You can buy lights that plug into an outlet and come on automatically when the power shuts
off. While these lights don t light up the entire room, they illuminate the floor area like a traditional
night light or lamp does so you can walk around your home safely. Some of these night lights double
as a remote control that will turn on other lights not plugged into a socket.
You may want to mount a battery powered LED light to the ceiling so it will cast light downward on a
table or kitchen counter. It s a good idea to have an emergency light near each ... Show more content

light. These usually don t last as long since they use more power, but you can turn them off to
conserve power if you need to. The disadvantage to relying on lights you have to recharge is if they go
dead before the power comes on, then you won t have any lights. Battery powered lights could be a
better choice but only if you have an ample supply of

What Really Sank The Titanic By Robert Gannon
In this article, Robert Gannon examines several flaws that were found decades after the Titanic s tragic
maiden voyage in an attempt to provide answers to the age old question that titles his article, What
Really Sank the Titanic? . Gannon begins the article by explaining various details of the well known
story of the Titanic s trip in April of 1912. The readers are reminded that the massive vessel was
considered unsinkable and disaster proof prior to its first trip at sea. After crashing into a large iceberg,
a few of the hull s compartments were destroyed and the ship quickly began to take on water. The
entire vessel sank in three short hours, and the exact causes of the disaster are still not fully

The Pollution Of The San Joaquin Valley
The Water In The Valley. If the water is contaminated by the airborne pollutants, whether by
depositing through direct water surface contact or by depositing on land and being carried to water
bodies through run off, the residents will face problems. Once in the water, these pollutants can cause
the fish to poison people upon consumption, or the fish could die out. Harmful algal blooms could
occur; the water will become contaminated and unsafe to drink. This might seem like an exaggeration
but in the San Joaquin Valley, the threat is very real. One might say that the people of the San Joaquin
Valley may depend on water more than people elsewhere. The residents need water more because
many of them depend on having enough water for their jobs, not just for their consumption. Being one
of the top agricultural industries, the San Joaquin Valley residents need to have plenty of water for
their industry of choice, whether is be for watering their crops or keeping the cows food (grass) alive,
to ensure that they will be able to bring in profit to the valley and be able to feed themselves and their
families. One of the reasons why the San Joaquin Valley is highly susceptible to water contamination
is because of agriculture pesticides such as the nitrogen based fertilizer called nitrate. Nitrates, once
they ve entered the body, are converted to nitrites (Basic Info. About Nitrate in Drinking Water). If a

The Muscular And Nervous Systems Of Our Body
The Muscular and Nervous Systems of our body are two of eight major body functional systems that
help us maintain homeostasis or in a chemical balance within our bodies. When the body cannot
maintain homeostasis there is usually some sort of sickness or disease that is targeting one of our
major body functions. An example of two diseases that could affect our homeostasis within our
Muscular and Nervous System are Hydrocephalus and Dystonia.
The Nervous System is the system of our body that deal with the many nerves in our body that help us
respond and react to things outside of our body that could or could not be conscious to us. The disease
Hydrocephalus is a disease that affects the Nervous System through the brain. Hydrocephalus is when
fluid that normally would help cushion our brain becomes excessive. This fluid is called cerebrospinal
fluid. By this fluid becoming excessive it puts harmful pressure on the brain. Hydrocephalus can be
categorized into two types. Congenital Hydrocephalus and Acquired Hydrocephalus. Congenital
Hydrocephalus is present at birth. The causes could be genetic or inherited through the parent s genes
or problems during fetus development. Acquired Hydrocephalus is happens after birth and at any age.
Several causes such as head injuries, strokes, infections, tumors, and bleeding in the brain are ways
that can lead a person s diagnoses of Acquired Hydrocephalus. Symptoms patients should look for

Arthur Dimmesdale And Double Life In Hawthorne By...
Isn t it remarkable how Arthur Dimmesdale manages to somehow, for seven years, keep his private
life separate from his public one? In regards to Arthur s behavior, Hawthorne states, No man, for a
considerable period, can wear one face to himself and another to the multitude without getting
bewildered as to which may be true. To restate Hawthorne s quote: no one can be true to him or
herself, while lying to everyone because soon enough one will confuse the act with reality. Having a
Dimmesdale s style of living results in living a double life, plenty of penance, and self damage
affecting loved ones.
First off, when someone walks around with two faces, he or she will begin to live with two distinct
lives as well. For example, Dimmesdale is seen as the greatest saint in the Puritan community, but he
is secretly holding onto an unrepented sin. His humanly desires get the best of him when he commits
adultery with Hester Prynne and hence produces an elf child named Pearl. The sinner is put on a
pedestal and adored by his congregation in broad daylight. On the other hand, he is self convicted
through severe physical and mental reprimanding in the middle of the night. In the novel, Hawthorne
explains, In Mr. Dimmesdale s secret closet, under lock and key, there was a bloody scourge...he kept
his vigils... until his knees trembled beneath him...sometimes in utter darkness...his brain often reeled
and visions seemed to flit before him... (Hawthorne 141). At Dimmesdale s Election

Some of these systems like separation of powers, checks and balances, federalism, and pluralism, are

America s entire political system is also just as sad and dysfunctional (Nicholas). This political
dysfunction makes American politics broken and it doesn t help that the key systems in use today just
do not work. Any work that can be done in the government is stalled or impossible to accomplish from
this.
One of these systems, the American political parties, is another key system that has become broken in

  • 2. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Z Waves Terahertz (THz) waves, or T rays, refer to electromagnetic radiation in the frequency range of 0.1 10 THz. THz waves occupy the region between microwaves and the infrared, as shown in Figure 1.1. Until about two decades ago, when THz time domain spectroscopy technique was invented, the THz spectrum had remained more or less unexplored and unutilized. However, the development of ultrafast lasers and derivative techniques such as photocon¬ductive switching and sampling and electro optic generation and detection in the 1980s made it feasible to study the THz waves. Fig. 1.1: Position of terahertz spectrum (1 10 THz). This range is also known as the far infrared, or sub millimeter range, and the lower limit is often extended down to 300 GHz (λ ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Investigating biological characteristics and dynamics using THz techniques has both advantages and disadvantages. One of the most important advantages is the low energy of THz waves, corresponding to a few meV, which is well below the ionization energies of atoms and molecules. This means that we can study materials with THz waves without disturbing the system under study, unless enough power is applied to cause a significant increase in temperature. The other major advantage is that the characteristic energy of the hydrogen bond, which is the most dominant bond in biological molecules, lies in the THz frequency range and, therefore, THz waves can directly detect spectral features such as resonances and motions of molecules. However, a serious disadvantage is the high absorption of THz waves by the water in which biological molecules reside. This water absorption can mask the characteristic features of samples, even though biological dynamics naturally occur in water. All of the above is some applications in THz region, for more details and applications see ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Autodidactic And Active Learner-Active Learning Autodidactic, Active Learner Active learning is a learning style whereby the student is tasked to inquire, gather, analyze and perform higher order reasoning. The active learning strategy attempts to engage the student on a spectrum of communication types. Active learning stimulates different regions of the brain and the simultaneity ties them together. For instance reading activates the visual cortex, listening the temporal lobe, writing the cerebellum, analyzing the prefrontal lobes. This is also know as whole brain learning. This is aptly described in the adage Cells that fire together, wire together. The student that is able to learn independently of a formal class is called a self directed learner or autodidactic. Being able to fill unassigned personal time with learning is a more profitable expenditure, than partaking in the escapisms of the gaming, entertainment sports industries. Perhaps with the exception of documentaries. On the other hand there are deficits in self motivated learning. In leader lead or group learning the student and teacher experience resonance in their mirror neurons. Neurons sympathetically imitate across a group of individuals, creating a commonality. Since this interaction is not promoted by self learning. Individuals might find difficulties with self learning. Experiencing feelings of distance, isolation and lack of inclusion. Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder may not notice a difference between a class room and self learning. In some situations self motivated learning may not be as profitable a venture. • 6. Hall Of Justice Analysis During the conversation between Joe and Louis in Act II, Scene 7, Joe explains that the day before, he accidentally showed up for work at the Hall of Justice on a Sunday. Due to the fact that the Hall is closed on Sundays, Joe arrived to discover a deserted courthouse and panicked, thinking, The whole Hall of Justice, it s empty, it s deserted, it s gone out of business. Forever (Kushner 78). Although it was deserted simply due to the fact that it was Sunday, the empty Hall of Justice symbolizes freedom. Specifically, this can be seen when Joe states, It would be...heartless terror. Yes. Terrible, and...Very great. To shed your skin, every old skin, one by one and then walk away, unencumbered, into the morning (Kushner 78 79). This shows that an empty Hall of Justice would ... This can be seen when Joe states, I just wondered what a thing it would be...if overnight everything you owe anything to, justice, or love, had really gone away. Free (Kushner 78), which again shows that an empty Hall of Justice symbolizes freedom from both the Hall and the idea of justice itself. Aside from this point in the play, the subject of justice had been brought up twice before. Immediately preceding Joe s description of an empty Hall of Justice, in Act II, Scene 6, Joe had struggled with the concepts of justice and ethics when contemplating accepting the job offer Roy had provided him with. Specifically, Roy obtained the opportunity to join the Justice Department in Washington, D.C. in order to help prevent Roy from becoming disbarred. Upon realizing this, Joe proclaims, Even if I said yes to the job, it would be illegal to interfere. With the hearings. It s unethical. • 7. Why We Shouldn T Animal Testing Be Used In Biomedical... There are over 100 million animals poisoned, abused, or injured every year in labs, 95% of theses animals aren t protected by the law. The use of animals in laboratories often amounts to legally sanctioned animal abuse. Animals being tested on are kept away from the public for a reason. The word vivisection, means the act of performing operations on live animals for scientific research or experiments. Besides, drugs that pass animal tests are not always necessarily safe for humans. Animals should not be used in biomedical research because of what the animals have to go through, the expenses, and because there are alternative methods to animal experimentation. The things the animals go through in experiments is horrific. Right now, millions of mice, rats, rabbits, primates, cats, dogs, and other animals are locked inside barren cages in laboratories across the country. They languish in pain, ache with loneliness, and long to be free. Instead, all they can do is sit and wait in fear of the next terrifying and painful procedure that will be performed on them (Animals Used for Experimentation). This isn t just telling you what the animals go through, but trying to put you in the animal s shoes. Animal testing is cruel and inhumane. To protect the elements, the elements would give special powers every 200 years to five children. Those five children that the elements chose, would be taken away from their family at a young age and would be taught everything about the world and more things no one could even imagine. Once the five children learned all that they could, the elements would choose the most powerful one of them all, to be the leader of Hilia and also know as the light element. With the good comes evil, Hilia has to have a balance of both to remain stable, so the elements must pick another five children, but those children would not serve as light, they would serve as the darkest part of Hilia. Just as much as she looks up to me, I look up to her. Here lately, we have been dealing a lot with her health problems that we have found in the past 5 years. Even though her body is giving her trouble, she is going to college for Hotel Restaurant Administration and holding down a job. I am so proud of her. Then there is my son, He went to college for two years and had some trouble with it. But did really good with it. I am wanting to show them that you can go back to college and get a degree in whatever degree they want no matter how old you are or think you can t for whatever reason. Purpose My purpose is to show whoever is seating there reading my resume, that I got what it takes. And I can and will make it happen no matter what it is. Every time I go to a job interview, they are always looking for a degree. Even though, I do already have one in Medical Insurance Billing and Coding, and have a long job history in office and management field. I feel my resume is not showing them that I can do the job that I am applying for. So they go and hire someone with more experience or has a degree behind them. I live in a small town of 4,700. Researchers desperate for a significant P value may claim an observation that was not present in the study, or perform researchers degrees of freedom, which is defined as decision making as researchers conduct the study, and not beforehand. b. Truth cannot be derived from a single study; it must be repeated to increase the precision of the study and therefore the strength of inference made about the results. Studies that truly follow the scientific method and include randomization and repeatability will be closer to discovering the truth than other studies. c. My essay is in five sections: what is quantitative easing, when was it used and why, how does it work, impacts of the programme and finally has it been successful. What is quantitative easing? Quantitative easing is increasing the flow of money into the financial system. Money has three functions: 1. Unit of account 2. Store of value 3. Means of payment Quantitative easing uses money as a means of payment. It is used as a tool of monetary policy when the other tool of monetary policy which is interest rate is near zero and not increasing. Monetary policy concerns the way in which government actions shift how money is used. When was it used and why? The Bank of England started to use quantitative easing in early 2009 as an act of loose monetary policy to boost the economy after the recession of 2008. When economy falls into recession, incomes fall as unemployment rises this means that the government pays more benefits increasing the budget deficit. This also means that consumer expenditure decreases as consumptions fall with income falling. Therefore the excess expenditure needs to be covered it can be covered by taxes, issuing bonds, issuing money. Increasing taxes will not work as unemployment has gone up. On the September 11, 2014 issue of the magazine Rolling Stone, writer David Browne came back with a cover story featuring the famous actor behind Mrs. Doubtfire, Robin Williams who committed suicide exactly a month before. Being known as a comedic genius and having been attributed the stereotypes brought by his title, Williams suicide came as a shock not only in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With the subject being dead, getting a scoop from people within his circle gives an idea on the character of the person through other persons which what makes it different from the usual profile where the readers get a glimpse of the featured person s character from himself. In the interviews, Williams friends shared not only the favorable experiences with him but also the unsettling ones which served as the clues on what triggered his suicide. Browne swayed the readers into coding the causes of hid suicide throughout the whole article and did not drop the this is what caused his suicide bomb in one paragraph. Though written in a more imaginative style, no strong emotion of sadness could be picked up from the article. Being about a death of a prominent person, readers could have expected a more emotional and touching article. This problem, though, can be answered if Browne interviewed the family members of Williams, especially his children. That could have given the article a more touching side. Considering it was written a month after, Browne may have purposely omitted the thought of making the article a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If anything remains after deducting all expenses, it is divided proportionately among the underwriter and syndicate members depending on the amount of securities each underwrote. One of the lead underwriter s first agenda items (usually before any significant expenses have been incurred) is to draft a letter of intent. Indeed, an important aspect of the letter of intent is to protect the underwriter against any uncovered expenses in the event the offer is withdrawn either during the due diligence and registration stage, or during the marketing stage. Thus, the letter of intent contains a clause requiring the company to reimburse the underwriter for any out of pocket expenses incurred during the process. Another important aspect of the letter is the gross spread or the underwriting discount. In most cases, the gross spread is 7% of the proceeds (see Chen and Ritter, 1998 for an excellent discussion of the uniform size of the gross spread). The letter also typically includes: a commitment by the underwriter to enter into a firm commitment agreement (or other underwriting agreements, as the case may be); an agreement by the company to cooperate in all due diligence efforts, and to make available all relevant ... • 31. Mixed Methodology For Data Collection And Analysis The study will use a mixed method approach in data collection and analysis to provide enriched data. Mixed methodology will provide a useful inter play between qualitative and quantitative approaches and capture the best of both. This study will use an embedded design of mixed methodology (Plano Clark et al. 2008) because the research has different questions that need both quantitative and qualitative data to provide answers. However, the study will be a qualitatively driven mixed methodology wherein the qualitative data will be the core component/approach and the quantitative approach will provide the supplementary data (Qualquan mixed method). Furthermore, as there is little research on this subject area in Canada, using a qualitative strategy will allow for the discovery of unexpected issues and an in depth exploration of perceptions via Indigenous methods. The study will utilize a before/after design by comparing the knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) of the same group of people before and after the intervention (O Leary 2014). In addition, the study will use a sequential strategy of inquiry herein; data from one method will inform the other in order to gain better understanding of the research problem. The qualitative data will be collected prior to the intervention so as to inform the intervention design, and after the intervention to follow up and better understand the outcome of the intervention. The quantitative method on the other hand, will be used to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A Long Way Gone By Emily Bronte Gustavo Leon Kathryn Overbeck ENC 1102 October 28, 2015 A Long Way Gone Emily Bronte and Paul Dunbar Have you ever had that feeling of wanting to free yourself from something, breaking the wall that holds you back, cutting the string that won t let you go on and be free? Emily Bronte in her poem The Caged Bird and Sympathy by Paul Dunbar portray their feelings in their lyric poems. Bronte was born in 1818 in Yorkshire, England. She lived during the end of the romantic period, which made a huge impact on her writings. Romanticism was an artistic and intellectual movement originating in Europe in the late 1700s and characterized by a heightened interest in nature, emphasis on the individual s expression of emotion and imagination... ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The first element our writers used to express their message of wanting to be free is form. The narrator for The Caged Bird feels alone and wishes to be able to snatch the chains that keep her tied down. Also, in the poem Sympathy by Dunbar as well an in The Caged Bird both authors used a bird to symbolize the captivity and aspiration for freedom. Both poets wrote their piece in lyric form because of obvious reasons. A lyric poem is defined as a poem that expresses personal and emotional feelings. Writing poems with this form shows the amount of deep emotion that the narrator feels toward this work. In addition, both authors wrote their poems in iambic pentameter to make the poem sound like a natural flow of speech to really show the deep feelings the poets are feeling. Using elements of language such as imagery and alliteration to give her readers a visual of what she is feeling and the oppression she is going through. In line 6 of Bronte s poem, she describes the world as Earth s breezy hills and heaven s blue sea , using adjectives to arouse and grasp her feeling of being free in nature. After this she starts to use words, which represents captivity such as chain and alone. She says, Could my hand unlock the chain/ how gladly I would watch it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Led Night Light Research Paper Options In Emergency Lighting During A Power Outage When your power goes out at night, it can be a dangerous situation if you have to stumble around in the dark to find a flashlight or candle. If you ve not used a flashlight in a long time, you may not even know where it is. This makes it difficult to get to your kids in a hurry when they might be afraid or roaming around the house looking for you. A solution is to install lights that automatically come on when the power goes out. Here are some options to consider. LED Night Lights With Battery Power LED bulbs are ideal in battery powered lights because they last a long time and don t use much energy. You can buy lights that plug into an outlet and come on automatically when the power shuts off. While these lights don t light up the entire room, they illuminate the floor area like a traditional night light or lamp does so you can walk around your home safely. Some of these night lights double as a remote control that will turn on other lights not plugged into a socket. You may want to mount a battery powered LED light to the ceiling so it will cast light downward on a table or kitchen counter. It s a good idea to have an emergency light near each ... • 36. The Pollution Of The San Joaquin Valley The Water In The Valley. If the water is contaminated by the airborne pollutants, whether by depositing through direct water surface contact or by depositing on land and being carried to water bodies through run off, the residents will face problems. Once in the water, these pollutants can cause the fish to poison people upon consumption, or the fish could die out. Harmful algal blooms could occur; the water will become contaminated and unsafe to drink. This might seem like an exaggeration but in the San Joaquin Valley, the threat is very real. One might say that the people of the San Joaquin Valley may depend on water more than people elsewhere. The residents need water more because many of them depend on having enough water for their jobs, not just for their consumption. Being one of the top agricultural industries, the San Joaquin Valley residents need to have plenty of water for their industry of choice, whether is be for watering their crops or keeping the cows food (grass) alive, to ensure that they will be able to bring in profit to the valley and be able to feed themselves and their families. One of the reasons why the San Joaquin Valley is highly susceptible to water contamination is because of agriculture pesticides such as the nitrogen based fertilizer called nitrate. Nitrates, once they ve entered the body, are converted to nitrites (Basic Info. About Nitrate in Drinking Water). If a baby younger than six months consumes water with more nitrate than the ... • 38. Arthur Dimmesdale And Double Life In Hawthorne By... Isn t it remarkable how Arthur Dimmesdale manages to somehow, for seven years, keep his private life separate from his public one? In regards to Arthur s behavior, Hawthorne states, No man, for a considerable period, can wear one face to himself and another to the multitude without getting bewildered as to which may be true. To restate Hawthorne s quote: no one can be true to him or herself, while lying to everyone because soon enough one will confuse the act with reality. Having a Dimmesdale s style of living results in living a double life, plenty of penance, and self damage affecting loved ones. First off, when someone walks around with two faces, he or she will begin to live with two distinct lives as well. For example, Dimmesdale is seen as the greatest saint in the Puritan community, but he is secretly holding onto an unrepented sin. His humanly desires get the best of him when he commits adultery with Hester Prynne and hence produces an elf child named Pearl. The sinner is put on a pedestal and adored by his congregation in broad daylight. On the other hand, he is self convicted through severe physical and mental reprimanding in the middle of the night. In the novel, Hawthorne explains, In Mr. Dimmesdale s secret closet, under lock and key, there was a bloody scourge...he kept his vigils... until his knees trembled beneath him...sometimes in utter darkness...his brain often reeled and visions seemed to flit before him...
