Street Racing Is Glamorized In Films
Street racing is glamorized in movies. It makes the characters look tough and cool. In real life it s the
complete opposite. Street racing is considered to be in the most dangerous forms of aggressive
driving. It can cause many serious accidents to happen and can cost many lives. Street racing is illegal
in Canada. If you do end up street racing you will be charged because street racing falls under the
Criminal Code of Canada. Street racing is considered one of the most dangerous act for aggressive
drivers. This is because of excessive speeding. While speeding at an excessive rate you can lose
control of your car and it could end up crashing into a car, an object and even a animal or a human.
You also end up killing yourself and anyone else

Direct Reimbursement Analysis
Direct reimbursement is a plan that involves direct and unlimited reimbursements as long as they are
allowed and reasonable (Johnston Marshall, 2009, p.379). This plan allows the sales manager a little
control over both the magnitude of sales expenses and the kinds of activities salespeople will be
motivated to do (Johnston Marshall, 2009, p.379). Moreover, direct reimbursement will allow sales
reps to take possible new accounts to lunch to try to get their business (Johnston Marshall, 2009). By
allowing sales reps to get direct reimbursement on expenses it will stimulate the sales reps to use it
(Johnston Marshall, 2009). The sales rep has to turn in receipts and justify the expenses before they
can be reimbursed (Johnston Marshall, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With a company using limited reimbursement they set an expense budget at the beginning of the year,
moreover, this allows them to figure out how much each sales rep can spend (Johnston Marshall,
2009). Furthermore, the sales rep may only be able to spend $50 per lunch for possible new accounts
(Johnston Marshall, 2009). Limited reimbursement could hurt a company if they spend all the money
in the budget and still have a few months left in the year. Moreover, the sales rep will either have to
pay for lunch out of their pocket or not take the potential new account to lunch (Johnston Marshall,
2009). In this case for MedTech Pharmaceuticals and the sales force, I would suggest direct
reimbursement would work best. If MedTech used direct reimbursement they would know what the
sales rep used the money for, moreover, MedTech would know it was not used for personal items
(Investopedia, 2016). I would choose the direct reimbursement Moreover, I would not want my sales
reps worrying about the price of lunch; I would want them to concentrate on getting a new

The Breakfast Club Research Paper
The breakfast club essay I think the breakfast club is a good movie and I choose claire standish
because I think out of all of them we have the most alike and we also have a lot of differences. I also
picked her because she was the most interesting to me. The first thing we have in common is that she
wears makeup and I wears makeup as well. She was 16 in the movie and im almost 16. She also talks
to alot of people and I do to. We are also similar because she gets mad over people spreading rumors
about her, but I think a lot of people would get mad over those kind of things. I m different from here
because I would actually be nice and hangout with the rest of the people at school. I wouldn t admit I

Environmental Plans And Wildlife Management Programs
As discussed in previous projects, an airport is a significant element in any community. This element
has a direct and an indirect impact on the community. With the establishment of an airport, many
businesses start to facilitate the construction works. After operating the airport, many businesses start
to facilitate the airport s operations. In addition, the airport itself hires staff to run the business.
Moreover, airports contribute to the surrounding communities. Thus, the existing of an airport might
be harmful to the environment and the wildlife around the airport. Therefore, many airport authorities
utilize environmental plans and wildlife management programs. On the other hand, wildlife is a
hazard for airports in some cases. For the FAA, wildlife strikes is one of the increasing issues in
airports safety (Greenberger, 2013). From 1988 till 2012, more than 219 people were killed and more
than 200 aircrafts were destroyed (Greenberger, 2013). Therefore, wildlife management plans are
beneficial for wildlife and the airport operations. In other words, wildlife plans mitigate the risks for
wildlife around airfields and mitigate the wildlife of concern risk for airplanes. In 2012 during the
approach of Air Force Two at Santa Barbra Airport in California, a bird stroked the airplane. Another
bird strike happened during the landing of an Airbus 300 at Tulsa International airport, which caused
damaged to the wing and engine that cost about $ 6 millions (Greenberger,

The Five Differences Between Physical And Human Geography
Physical Geography and Human Geography
Physical geography looks at the ordinary course of the Earth, such as weather and plate tectonics.
Human geography looks at the impact and behavior of people and how they relate to the physical
world.
Location
Location pinpoints different positions, people, and places on the earth surface. It is defined for
geography using two terms, absolute and relative.
Absolute location vs relative location
Absolute location answers the question where is it (The Five Themes of Geography pdf). It s the place
on earth which can be located using longitude and latitude. The specific spot on the planet.
Relative location is the relationship of a place to other places (The Five Themes of Geography pdf). ...

Humans are adept at modifying and adapting to different environments. Starting off as hunters and
gathers, humans have progressed to the ability to farm and raise livestock. We have further modified
our environment to the point trade is used primarily with currency. We now can buy a large variety of
different foods from supermarkets and many different styles of clothing from a huge selection of
clothing stores. We now use heaters and a/c units to modify our climate in houses and businesses. The
selection and specialization of shelter also points to how well humans have adapted. We continue to
develop and modify our existing environments to increase our standard of living and longevity of life.
There is a growing concern we may be harming our current environment with the overuse of fossil
fuels.
Movement
Movement deals with studies of societal migration and circulation in the different countries of the
world. It defines how people get from one place to another locally and globally.
Humans Interacting on the Earth
Physical movement of people allows the human race to explore different things such as the ocean,
moon, and land. Another characteristic of movement is the moving of possessions from one place to
another on earth. It is the study of human exchange. A particularly essential aspect of movement is the
movement of people s ideas.

Pigs And Raising Pigs

Pigs
Pigs, which are also called Hogs, are animals that are raised all over the world. Pigs are usually found
in Europe, Africa, Southern Asia, America and Australia. They are one of the most populated
mammals in the world, having about 1 billion of them living on farms throughout the world. Raising
pigs may seem like a easy thing to do, but it is the exact opposite. To raise pigs, one must do it in a
very specific way. There are so many pigs around the world due to their very short reproductive
systems. This causes new types to arise in a short amount of time. What most people do not know
about pigs is how intelligent they are. Pigs are known for their reputation as dirty, noisy, and smelly
animals but they will really surprise a person with their intelligence. Pigs are very complex creatures
that are used for several different things and tasks. Raising pigs might seem like a easy thing to do, but
it is the exact opposite. Raising a pig is done in a very specific and cautious way. Raising a pig
requires a well balanced diet that includes different things that provide everything they need to
maintain a healthy life. Their diets includes carbohydrates from corn, and grains such as barley, wheat,
rye, and oats which provide them with the energy they need (Ahlschwede). The diet also includes
protein such as fish, meat, peanuts, soybeans, linseed and cottonseed that make the pig strong. Raising

Black Identity And Missing Identity
Boo! Ghosts are the most popular halloween costumes with children. Perhaps the popularity comes
from the idea that children like hiding their true identity, a fascination that will continue into
adulthood. In Native Guard, Natasha Trethewey is a half white and half black woman who has trouble
incorporating her black heritage into her life therefore missing a piece of her identity. In Heart of
Darkness by Joseph Conrad, characters described as a phantom or shade indicate missing or different
identities. In The Circle by Dave Eggers, the employees live through what the circle tells and have no
original ideas which stems from their missing identity. them Ghosts are the soul of a once living
person, but they are incomplete in that they are missing emotions or major characteristics of a human.
Because of these missing pieces, ghosts represent missing identity.
In Native Guard by Natasha Trethewey, the poet has a difficult time letting both her white father and
black mothers culture into her life and her black culture is described as ghostlike because the black
culture is the missing part of her true identity. The Civil War divided the United States which most
people try to forget. Although Americans would like to pretend that slavery and inequality never
happened in the United States, the unjust actions continue as a part of history and is still represented
with the fields of cotton, hallowed ground as slave legend goes each boll holding the ghosts of
generations according

British Flag Informative Speech
The flag has many rumors, myths, and legends surrounding it, and I would like to clear some of them
up. I believe that the United States is the best country in the world, and it shows by the beacon of hope
that flag represents. The very first flag of the United States was called the Grand Union, and it was
flown for about a year. Instead of stars in the left corner, there was the crosses on the British flag, and
it still had the 13 stripes in honor of the colonies. The flag was probably made this way as the design
is easy to make, being only stripes and a British flag. It is believed that this flag was flown in 1776 on
New Year s Eve on Prospect Hill in Charlestown by George Washington s army. The design we are
familiar with (Stars and

Essay about The Crying of Lot 49
Technology has long been recognized as a mixed blessing. Its up/downside nature was illustrated
nicely in Walt Disney s Fantasia by the myth of the Sorcerer s Apprentice:not only does the magic of
the machine produce what you desire, it often gives you much more than you can use as Oedipa Maas,
the heroine of this stark American fable, discovers on her frenetic Californian Odyssey. Information
which strains to reveal Everything might well succeed only in conveying nothing, becoming
practically indistinguishable from noise. But there is noise, and Noise. Many of the devices Pynchon
uses to establish informational patterns in Lot 49 are metaphors for life in a mythic, fractionalized and
increasingly noisy modern America.

That the world has things to tell her is not an entirely new idea to Oedipa. At the inception of her role
as executrix, she sits in her convertible gazing down upon a typical Southern California suburb and is
instantly reminded of the insides of a transistor radio:
... there was to both outward patternings a hieroglyphic sense of concealed meaning, of an intent to
communicate. There d seemed no limit to what the printed circuit could have told her (if she had tried
to find out) ...[2]
However, hieroglyphs can be merely decorative intriguing manifestations of absolutely nothing; and
therefore random signals broadcast to the medium at large; a medium of which Oedipa just happens to
be a part.Oedipa s dilemma quickly becomes a parallel to the theorized task of Maxwell s
Demon:Where the Demon is fabled to sort hot from cold molecules and thus produce Work, Oedipa
must sort useful from useless information and thus produce Meaning.Through it all, the underlying
question with which Oedipa flirts but never confronts: Isn t it all, perhaps, just noise?
Pynchon establishes certain objects and images as avatars of noise, the first being the television (

God[3].The TV is

Kate O Hare, Jack London, And Assata Shakur
The American judicial system is one that convicts and incarcerate prisoners for various crimes. When
someone commits a crime, it is the judicial system s responsibility to enforce and apply the laws.
Under United States legislation, criminals are innocent until proven guilty in a court trial, but the
judicial system during the twentieth century did not properly give them fair trials. Instead, the court
system convicted many prisoners guilty of crimes they supposedly committed. This situation created
the start of a new and corrupt judicial system because prisoners could not plead their case in court.
Kate O Hare, Jack London, and Assata Shakur provide an accurate and historical view of the
American judicial system as unethical because many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Instead of convicts receiving fair trials and being treated equally, the judicial system discriminated
against poverty stricken people and allowed brutal treatment and conditions. Prisons in America
contained a high percentage of poor people because they could not afford bail or lawyers. The judicial
system had no respect towards the poor because they were viewed as uneducated people. Since the
rich had the finances to pay for lawyers and bail, they were less likely to be incarcerated. Money
showed respect, intelligence, and power for wealthy people. Besides discrimination being an issue for
the judicial system, unfair trials for convicts also occurred. Prisoners were not given the chance to
plead guilty or not guilty in a courtroom because they did not have lawyers appointed to them. The
judge solely decided whether to convict a criminal guilty or not guilty of the crime they supposedly
committed. It was common for prisoners to be incarcerated for crimes they never committed because
the judicial system allowed unfair trials. Prisoners experienced brutal and inhumane treatments and
conditions that include physical abuse, unsanitary living environments, and the possibility of
contracting diseases. The judicial system selfishly altered the laws for their own well being. They
benefitted from the changes and were never held accountable for the acts they allowed and committed.
This created the corruption in

1) Correct the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Reorder point (ROP) quantities for each of the
five items mentioned in the case.
We first predict the annual demand for the year 1972 based on trend for 4 months of 1972 based on
corresponding months of 1971.
Calculations for Annual demand (R):
The assumption made here is that the same trend for sales as that for the four months of

Which system do you prefer?
EOQ/ ROP system:
Advantage1) The system achieves the balance between two costs ordering cost and the carrying cost.
2) The system keeps track of removals from inventory on a continuous basis, so the system can
provide information on the current level of inventory for each item
3) The system helps meet the anticipated customer demand.
4) The system keeps buffers between successive operations to maintain continuity of production
(reducing the variability in demand at various stages).
Disadvantage1) EOQ/ROP system is essentially a reactive approach; this approach gives only an order
quantity, it does not suggest ways to reduce the inventory.
4
2) For implementation of EOQ a perpetual inventory counting system needs to be in place, this
implies substantial investments which might not be feasible for some.
3) Even if EOQ system is in place there is necessity to physically count the inventory periodically in
order to ascertain the accuracy of the system.
4) EOQ/ ROP is a static system that is, it does not change automatically with the change in demand.
For every period a new EOQ/ ROP needs to be established.
5) It is valid for a single product and not a basket of products. (Assumption made while deriving the
EOQ/ ROP.)
6) It does not take into account

Human Trafficking in the United States
Products from all over the world are being distributed and sold from other countries to people in the
United States. Imports and exports to and from the U.S include products as wide ranged as food,
clothes, and even people. Human trafficking is a worldwide problem, including the United States.
Currently, there are approximately 20.9 million people enslaved throughout the world with 2.5 million
located in the United States. About 14,500 17,500 of foreign nationals are trafficked into the United
States every year (Human trafficking statistics). These statistics show that slavery is still alive and
flourishing throughout the entire world. When humans are exchanged, exploited, and forced into
prostitution, and involuntary labor, it is called human trafficking. Human trafficking is a very serious
problem which has been going on for centuries; I believe spreading awareness is imperative to solving
this ongoing problem. There has been many government attempts to try to alleviate this problem in the
past with the Emancipation Proclamation, the Thirteenth Amendment, Out of the 20.9 million people
that are enslaved in the world, more than 70 percent are female and half are children (Human
trafficking statistics). Approximately 80% of trafficking involves sexual exploitation and many
victims are runaway girls who were sexually abused as children (Human trafficking statistics).
Although the government has tried numerous things to stop human trafficking, it is still happening.

RNA Interference in Biotechnology and Pharmacetics Essay
Almost all biology students learn the fundamentals of gene expression, DNA contains information
which is transcribed into RNA to create protein. Students however, are not taught of RNA
Interference, the biological process where RNA molecules inhibit a gene s expression, RNAi for short.
While RNAi is a fairly new discovery, its use in modern biological research is groundbreaking. RNA
Interference works by binding Double stranded RNA molecules (siRNA) to a complementary
messenger RNA. The enzymes Dicer and Slicer then cleave the chemical bonds which hold the
messeger RNA in place and prevent it from delivering protein silencing instructions thus, the term,
Gene Silencing. This phenomenon was first discovered by Richard Jorgensen in 1990 when ... Show

Sanofi plans on using antibodies to target PCSK9 which could lead to an alternative to the commonly
used statins drug. Out of the 32 patients in the most recent trial, 24 received a single dose of the RNAi
drug. The results showed that the expression of PCSK9 dropped to a staggering average, 70% and a
40% decrease of LDL cholesterol levels. If the PCSK9 inhibition drug deems successful it is still not
sure whether the drug will perform well from a business aspect.
Another application of RNAi is in Parkinson s disease. Researchers at the National Institutes of Health
have successfully used RNA Interference to uncover several genes which possibly represent new
therapeutic targets for treating Parkinson s disease. These discoveries may also be useful to other
diseases cause by damage to the mitochondria. Researcher Richard Youle explains, we discovered a
network of genes that may regulate the disposal of dysfunctional mitochondria, opening the door to
new drug targets for Parkinson s disease and other disorders
(http://www.nih.gov/news/health/nov2013/ninds 24.htm). On certain occasions of Parkinson s the
gene parkin, which tags damaged mitochondria as waste, is mutated. This

mutilation leads to excess accumulation of unhealthy mitochondria in the body. Dr. Youle and his
colleagues worked alongside Scott Martin using robotics to introduce small interfering RNA

The Impact Of Corruption In Mexico
Mexico is the eleventh most populated country in the world with a $2.2 trillion economy (CIA, 2017).
It is also an extremely popular tourist destination for Americans and Europeans alike. Moreover, its
people have had the highest average annual hours worked in the world every year for the last three
years (OECD, 2017). Despite this, their unemployment rate is estimated to be 3.6% and their
underemployment at 25% (CIA, 2017). I am going to expand on this country s issues with corruption,
organized crime, violence, the economy, and how I assess their future will affects us here in the United
States.
Like many countries in turmoil, corruption is and has been a big part of Mexico s political scene,
especially with domestic criminal organizations such as the drug cartels. Mexico s politicians have not
only stolen public funds but they have also made complicit agreements with multiple drug cartels.
Mexico ranks No. 123 in Transparency International s 2016 Corruption Perception Index, 25 spots
lower than the year before. Analysts say it s unclear whether corruption has gotten worse or has
merely become more visible because of transparency laws, journalists increasingly uncovering graft
and social media exposing politicians excesses (Agren, 2017). In recent years there have been multiple
Mexican politicians prosecuted and arrested due to their illegal dealings but the cycle just continues
with their successors. Take Javier Duarte for example, who was the governor of Veracruz State from
2010 to 2016 and managed to steal $3 billion from public funds meanwhile violence spread
throughout the state. The violence was so severe that mass graves with 250 skulls were discovered and
at least 17 journalists were murdered during his tenure (Agren, 2017). Additionally, the two former
Tamaulipas State governors were both indicted for their involvement in illicit activities. The former
governor, Tomás Yarrington, was accused of taking bribes from both the Zetas Cartel and the Gulf
Cartel; meanwhile in 2015 his successor, Eugenio Hernández, was indicted in Texas on federal money
laundering charges (Agren, 2017).
The terrible byproduct of this was on full display a little under 3 years ago when the bodies of 43

Lewis s Mere Christianity With Its Complex Themes And...
After reflecting on C.S. Lewis s Mere Christianity with its complex themes and wording, I thought
that reading N.T. Wright s Simply Jesus would be an understandable breath of fresh air. However this
book raised more questions in my mind and beliefs than Mere Christianity ever did. Wright asks a lot
of poignant questions in the book in regards to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and in turn triggers
even more questions in his readers. He captures the nature of a 21st century Christian perfectly. Like it
or not we are a doubting group who question everything in our society whether that be politics,
relationships, or religion.
While reading Part One of Simply Jesus I had a nagging thought growing in the back of my mind.
With every page I read it became stronger and more prominent until it was a clearly formed question;
why did God not prepare the world for the coming of Christ better? Now of course I know that there
were prophesies and foreshadowing of Christ but my question is not why did God not say there would
be a savior, because He did, but rather why did He not give the people some more information. Ever
since I was a child I have heard over and over again that the people of Israel did not believe that Jesus
was the Messiah was because they were expecting something else. Even Wright says on page one of
Simply Jesus, He was not the King they expected . I just cannot help but wonder why God never told
the people what to expect. How hard would it have been to tell the

Human Trafficking In Sex Trafficking
Sex Slavery is still recognized as the fastest growing illicit crime industry producing an estimated
twenty four billion dollar in profit; sex trafficking ranks third amongst illicit offenses. Sex slaver
serves as the face of modern day sex trafficking exploiting millions of women and children every year
within or across international borders. This illegal industry involves recruiting, transporting, and
receipt of children or adults solely for self exploitation. In other words, its seen as a horrendous crime,
an assault on freedom and human dignity. It is palpable that sex slavery impacts all countries all over
the world, although some countries experience greater levels compared to others. Notwithstanding
motives for sex trafficking are both multifaceted and interrelated. Higher risk countries are those with
fractured government s, vulnerability due to poverty, the absence of sufficient protection against
discrimination, and economic decline. Somalia, a country more vulnerable to modern slavery, renders
the perfect opportunity to assess how individuals in searching for a better life ends up in the most
unwanted predicament. This paper will examine the meaning of sex slavery, how women and children
become victims of such ghastly crimes, supplier, emissary, the consumer, and decide who is mostly at
fault.

Teachers understand that if this behavior continues in the classroom and if they do nothing to prevent
this from happening, the outcome proves to be disastrous for both types of participants. The student
will conclude that his or her behavior is permissible, and will draw away from learning, therefore it is
essentially important for the teacher to explain to the child the importance to learn. Though we
understand that learning cannot be forced. Learning becomes a process for an individual where he or
she feels comfortable with learning whether it s in a classroom or at home. Mike Rose explains in
Lives on the Boundary that It is what we are excited about that educates us (106). Rose s quote can be
applied to children at an early age, just as well as it can be applied to adults. Definitely children learn
when they enjoy learning, but also they need some control over the teacher (s) decisions. Authoritarian
control is often destructive to students who are in the primary grades, and eventually upper grades
teachers have difficulty dealing with children who were taught with an authoritarian teacher (Jones
215). Children in primary grades feel the urge to talk about their problems, fears, or even show their
knowledge, but at the same time they want to be listened too. The student will feel valued and
respected. Students feel flattered when the teacher eventually gives them the option of contributing,

The Life and Representations of patron Saint Barbra Essays
This report is about the patron Saint Barbra, who is the patron saint for United States artillerymen.
You will read about her life, why she represents artilleryman, other things she represents, and many
interesting facts about her. In my opinion she has a very interesting story to why she represents us.
Though when she was born is debatable, it is believed to be in the late third century maybe early
fourth century. There are several facts about her that are fairly constant in all the articles I read. She
was a young beautiful woman. Who had a father who feared that his daughter would one day leave
him and never return. He was a Pagan named Dioscorus. In an attempt to stop that he locked her in a
tower and kept her under tight lock and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Now you may be thinking to yourself how this has absolutely anything to do with artilleryman. It s
simple; imagine you are in the American Revolution. Your only job is to load the cannon and light the
fuse. Back at that time it was a very dangerous job because the cannon was just as likely to explode as
to shot the intended projectile. Which some may consider being a sudden death? This in turn is how
she is related to field artilleryman. The United States military isn t the only group that claims her for
patronage. Along with artilleryman around the world she is also tradioninally the patron saint of any
profession that deals with explosives. Some examples may be miners, military engineers, gunsmiths
and armoires. Many Catholics who have a risk of sudden death or even a violent death pray to her to
keep them safe.
She is seen as an embodiment of safety all around the world. Mostly celebrated on Saint Barbra s day,
which is December 4th, by Military around the world she is also celebrated through Universities and
cultures. In several South American and Caribbean religions she is associated with deities of fire. All
throughout north and South America she has churches named in her honor. It seems no matter where u
go in the world she is celebrated. I could go on all day about the parades in Australia, the superstations
in Macedonia, or even the food eaten by the Greece on

Make The Bag Of Oreo s Baging
Today I will be telling you about the packing of Oreo s. Every time the manufactories make a bag of
Oreo s there s always 30 to a package. They usually cost $2.75. Even when the manufacturers makes
small bags of Oreo s. Which only come with 25 cookies they still charge you the same price. So what
is is the better quanti of the two bags of Oreo s . Also why are they charging us the same amount for a
smaller bag. When we can just buy the bigger bag for the same amount. Also why aren t they bringing
down the price when the bag get s smaller. I think they should bring down the price when the bag get s
smaller. Also I think people will start buying the bigger bag. But no one will buy the smaller bag
because the can by the bigger bag. So the manufacturers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also need pencils to write down everything. We also need computers to write this research paper. We
also need are papers to look off of in case we need more information. First we would have to find out
our unit rates of the two bags of Oreo s . Next we would have to see what our two unit rates are. Then
we will have to find out the quantity of the two bags of Oreo s. Finally we will have to find out which
one is the of the unit s is the better deal. First we have to find out our two prices and unites. Which is
$2.75 for a big bag and $2.75 for a smaller bag. If you get a big bag you get 30 cookies and if you get
a small bag you get 25 cookie. So if there s 30 cookies in a big bag and 25 cookies in a small bag it
would be the better unit because you get 5 more cookies and you re paying the same price as the
smaller bag so over all the big bag would be the better unit. So first i looked at the the two unites and
the prices. Then i seen which one was the better unit out of the two. Finally I figured out which was
the better unit and it was the big bag. So over all I seen that the big bag is the better unit. Also that the
small bag isn t even worth it because they are ripping you off. Also that the big bag has 30 cookies in
it. But the little bag has 25 cookies in

Hazel s Character In Richard Adams Watership Down
Running our risks for us are you like El ahrairah (Adams 23), a rabbit named Dandelion compares
Hazel to the ideal rabbit, El ahrairah, making him proud. Throughout the novel, Watership Down,
Hazel often demonstrates his El ahrairah like skills as chief. He saves his warren time and time again
with his martyr personality, quick wit and his self assurance. All these character traits are most like El
ahrairah as it is seen in each of his tales. Therefore Hazel is El ahrairah for his warren because he will
sacrifice himself, create clever plans and remain confident.
Hazel proves to be like El ahrairah every time he puts himself into dangerous situations to benefit his
warren. He and his friends decide to got to Nuthanger farm to help the Watership Down warren obtain

Often, this confidence saves the warren, Will you let us go if I can steal the lettuces from King Darzin
s garden? (Adams 92). El ahrairah is so self assured that he believes he can come up with a plan to
steal the lettuces from the powerful King Darzin. This impossible task is made possible when he
successfully steals King Darzin s lettuces and regains his power (Adams 195). As Hazel becomes
more chief like, he also becomes more like El ahrairah, making him develop confidence to help his
warren. He was confident and ready for adventure (Adams 195). With this confidence, Hazel decides
to go to the Nuthanger farm to get some does to prove that he is still chief and he can do anything for
his warren (Adams 196). He reaches his objective, though he is shot. To be the ideal chief, one must

Development Is Not A Synonym For Infrastructure
Development is not a synonym for infrastructure. Yet, these two words are often used in
interchangeably. Halifax, a small city in the province of Nova Scotia, Canada is currently taking on
the project of building a new convention center to replace the old and derelict convention center. This
project has been widely accepted and praised by many local government officials and business people
as a tremendous step forward and a driver for the city s growth. While this project can be defined as
new infrastructure, this alone does not justify its denotement as a development. What allows
infrastructure to also be defined as development is its ability to create positive change, or put more
simply: improvement. Likewise, undevelopment will be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Convention centers are generally not expected to make a profit on their operations or cover their
construction costs . As a result, the vast majority of projects are covered by government funding with
the hope that the economic benefits for the city will justify this subsidy. These new or refurbished
convention centers are expected to bring in more foreign visitors, increasing tourism and bringing in
foreign capital. While this can be true, examples of success stories lie in cities where tourism is
already prevalent and lends themselves to larger cities far more than smaller ones . Similarly,
projections are made under the assumption that all conference and event attendees will be visitors.
Project revenue received from local hotels, restaurants, and stores is determined under this premise.
This assumption is largely exaggerated, as studies have shown that the number of hotel rooms
estimated to be used during a given year was one third of the initial projections. This is because locals
make up a large portion of conference attendees . As a result, most spending is from local residents
rather than visitors, completely negating the purpose of building a center to bring in external revenue.
It is apparent that since attendees are primarily local residents, there is no increase in sales revenue at
neighboring businesses. Moreover, this particular project has proven to not only be unbeneficial for
surrounding restaurants and retailers,

Globalization And Its Impact On Society
1. Introduction
Globalization as the acutely adamant affiliation of economies, societies and cultures into a borderless
accepted communications [technology] and accumulation arrangement [is] a world transforming
process, not all which is pleasant, (Morrison, 2010, p. 32). Although globalization is, and will
apparently abide for some time, one of a lot of ambiguous and misunderstood concepts, there is some
accepted arena to be beginning an allotment of all the confusion (White, 2008). That is the abstraction
of admission and relationships that go above the immediate, bounded ambiance. Globalization is the
action by which all peoples and communities appear to acquaintance an added accepted economic,
amusing and cultural environment; but globalization as a theory, deals with the compression of the
region and accession of alertness of the region as a whole (Robertson, 1992, p. 8).
For a social order to be completed and experimented in a group of individuals, it makes certain an
offering of business and cultural basis. With business ideology, comes a great sense of power, which is
important and significant for the cause of getting ahead in several other circumstances of a society. It
is a power that is eligible for any reforms and several individuals determine how it can be used in a
benefitting and influential manner (Giroux, 2000). A business ideology can be followed very closely
and it can also have a broader inspiration from a collection if ideology points without

Examples Of Caricatures In A Tale Of Two Cities
A Tale of Two Caricatures
Writers have always set out to create realistic characters. Some have succeeded in creating characters
with unique goals and personalities while others fail to truly optimize the potential of their characters
and instead have relied on some discernible caricatures. For example, from A Tale of Two Cities by
Charles Dickens, written in 1858 to Crash, released in 2005, characters have been praised for their
originality and criticized for being stereotypical and bland. However while some characters may
appear to be caricatures, both Dickens and Haggis were constrained by time and societies explanation,
forcing them to rely on some caricatures to make the story more accessible. Both Dickens and Robert

Manette chooses to speak up, but the Evremonde brothers subdue him and lock him in the Bastille. In
there, Dr. Manette s enmity for the Evremondes continues to grow where he denounces the
Evremonde brothers and the rest the Evremonde bloodline until they die out. As the revolution
continues to grow, Dr. Manette s is finally given an opportunity to end the Evremonde bloodline. The
bloodthirsty mob of the rebellion storms La Force, where Charles Evremonde is currently held. The
mob detests anyone that had any remote connection to the French Aristocracy and would gladly
murder him. Had Dr. Manette not used his influence as a Bastille survivor, Charles would ve been
gored on the street. Despite his hatred for the Evremonde family, Dr. Manette forgoes his past to save
the husband of one very dear to him. Finally, Dr. Manette is able to move on from the years of hatred
in the Bastille, and he personally vouches for the Evremonde at his trial. Ultimately, Dr. Manette
ceases to hold the Evremonde bloodline responsible for the heinous actions committed and had instead
worked tirelessly to save his son in law. Through Dr. Manette, Dickens portrays a character that not
only complete contradicts his initial caricature of a vengeful prisoner but also grows into someone
willing to forgive someone who had wronged him.
Despite such a strong lead character, where Dickens fell flat, especially for modern readers, was with
his female characters, such as Lucie Manette. When we are

Selling In International Marketing Essay
Some small companies never thought about going global, or in other words, becoming international
retailers. They think of selling their products in foreign countries and think of ways to do so. Before
you know it, they have become global marketers. Many companies know that by doing business in
other countries, they can broaden their potential buyers. By selling to foreign customers, though,
retailers are stumbling upon roadblocks. Selling their product in international markets is not the same
as selling in the United States. Retailers, especially small businesses with limited resources, are
realizing large capital expenditures in order to accommodate sales in foreign markets. However, many
companies are doing quite well in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Depending on what type of business you are in, you can find similar companies in other countries and
form a partnership. This gives the seller more recognition in the foreign country. But, it is usually
more costly due to the added expense of another office. By forming a partnership with a company that
is in the country you want to do business in, the partner possibly has a list of contacts, already. This
makes selling the product or service a lot easier. Still though, companies wanting to expand in foreign
markets must be careful in choosing their partners. If they are not careful whom they choose as a
partner, they could risk losing control of their product or service. And, they need to pay close attention
to the day to day activities of selling. Some small businesses get too hasty because they want to
expand their market and gross profit, so they make bad judgment calls when it comes to finding a
company to form their joint venture with. The third method is by using a licensing agreement.
Basically, the foreign company/business buys the rights to the American product. They become the
licensees. This would seem the simplest method, since the licensee, it seems, would sell the product
then send you a check every month or so depending on the contract. However, you have to be careful
of this strategy as well. Some licensees buy the product and then shove it back on the shelves so it
won t compete with

League Of Nations Research Paper
7. I do believe that the Fascists nations of the Axis Powers could ve been stopped if the League of
Nations would ve been enforced punishments on the nation s for violating the laws of the league. In
1931, Japan invaded a territory in China rich of raw materials known as Manchuria. This attack was
the first direct challenge to the League of Nations. At this time the League of Nations consisted of all
the major democracies expect America, also the three biggest threats to peace, Italy, Japan, and
Germany. When Japan took over Manchuria, many league members strongly disagreed and protested.
However, Japan just ignored the protests and withdrew from the league in 1933. Japan went on to war

The Czechs weren t invited to take part in the Munich Conference because they didn t want to break
the deal they had with both France and Hitler. On November 5, 1937, Hitler announced to his advisers
his plans to gain control over Czechoslovakia and Austria known as the Third Reich or German
Empire. The Treaty of Versailles restricted Anschluss, or a union between Austria and Germany.
Despite the prohibition, many Austrians supported unity with Germany and in March of 1938, Hitler
sent his army to Austria and annexed it. France and Britain ignored their pledge to protect Austrian
independence. Hitler s new target was Czechoslovakia. Millions of Germans lived in the western
border regions of this nation known as the Sudetenland because that territory was taken away from
Germany from the terms of the Versailles Treaty. This area was a heavily fortified to act as the Czechs
main defense against Germany. The Anschluss raised pro Nazi emotions among the Sudetenland
Germans. In September of 1938, Hitler demanded that the Sudetenland be given back to Germany,
however the Czechs refused and asked France for help. As France and Britain were preparing for the
worse, war, Mussolini proposed a meeting with Germany, Britain, Italy, and France. On September 28,
1938, the Munich Conference was held in Munich, Germany. The Czechs were not invited to the
conference. Neville Chamberlain, the British prime minister believed he could prevent war by giving

English as The Official Language of the United States Essay
The debate of instituting English as the official language in the United States is a debate that has been
going on for centuries. Many people believe that English should be the official language because we
are American, and Americans speak English. However, many of those people fail to realize that we all
come from different heritages and corners of the world. Language should be an art of expression, one
where people of all heritages and backgrounds can speak in the language that they have learned.
Implementing English as the official language in the United States would be to essentially ignore and
disrespect all of the heritages, nationalities, and religions that make the United States a unique place to
live. The United States is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This tactic is effective because not only are the students getting used to the language, but, they are not
being forced to speak English regularly. They can speak whatever language they like around their
friends or family, but when it comes down to business, they better know how to use the English
language.
Many people in the United States have a sense of comfort with their own culture and language to the
point where they will not abandon those things in order to pick up a new language and lifestyle. In the
article named, Why and When We Speak Spanish in Public, written by Myriam Marquez, she explains
how her family continues to use the Spanish in public in the United States, even though they have
lived in the United States for over 40 years. Marquez explains, For me and most of the bilingual
people I know, it s a matter of respect for our parents and comfort in our cultural roots (542). People
are simply not going to change who they are and where they come from just so they can conform to
the normal population of the United States. For the most part, people who come the United States are
happy that the country has not implemented a national language law because the people who come
here can

Street racing is considered to be in the most dangerous forms of aggressive driving. It can cause many serious accidents to happen and can cost many lives. Street racing is illegal in Canada. If you do end up street racing you will be charged because street racing falls under the Criminal Code of Canada. Street racing is considered one of the most dangerous act for aggressive drivers. • 3. Direct Reimbursement Analysis Direct reimbursement is a plan that involves direct and unlimited reimbursements as long as they are allowed and reasonable (Johnston Marshall, 2009, p.379). This plan allows the sales manager a little control over both the magnitude of sales expenses and the kinds of activities salespeople will be motivated to do (Johnston Marshall, 2009, p.379). Moreover, direct reimbursement will allow sales reps to take possible new accounts to lunch to try to get their business (Johnston Marshall, 2009). By allowing sales reps to get direct reimbursement on expenses it will stimulate the sales reps to use it (Johnston Marshall, 2009). The sales rep has to turn in receipts and justify the expenses before they can be reimbursed (Johnston Marshall, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With a company using limited reimbursement they set an expense budget at the beginning of the year, moreover, this allows them to figure out how much each sales rep can spend (Johnston Marshall, 2009). Furthermore, the sales rep may only be able to spend $50 per lunch for possible new accounts (Johnston Marshall, 2009). Limited reimbursement could hurt a company if they spend all the money in the budget and still have a few months left in the year. Moreover, the sales rep will either have to pay for lunch out of their pocket or not take the potential new account to lunch (Johnston Marshall, 2009). In this case for MedTech Pharmaceuticals and the sales force, I would suggest direct reimbursement would work best. If MedTech used direct reimbursement they would know what the sales rep used the money for, moreover, MedTech would know it was not used for personal items (Investopedia, 2016). I would choose the direct reimbursement Moreover, I would not want my sales reps worrying about the price of lunch; I would want them to concentrate on getting a new ... • 5. Environmental Plans And Wildlife Management Programs As discussed in previous projects, an airport is a significant element in any community. This element has a direct and an indirect impact on the community. With the establishment of an airport, many businesses start to facilitate the construction works. After operating the airport, many businesses start to facilitate the airport s operations. In addition, the airport itself hires staff to run the business. Moreover, airports contribute to the surrounding communities. Thus, the existing of an airport might be harmful to the environment and the wildlife around the airport. Therefore, many airport authorities utilize environmental plans and wildlife management programs. On the other hand, wildlife is a hazard for airports in some cases. For the FAA, wildlife strikes is one of the increasing issues in airports safety (Greenberger, 2013). From 1988 till 2012, more than 219 people were killed and more than 200 aircrafts were destroyed (Greenberger, 2013). Therefore, wildlife management plans are beneficial for wildlife and the airport operations. In other words, wildlife plans mitigate the risks for wildlife around airfields and mitigate the wildlife of concern risk for airplanes. In 2012 during the approach of Air Force Two at Santa Barbra Airport in California, a bird stroked the airplane. Another bird strike happened during the landing of an Airbus 300 at Tulsa International airport, which caused damaged to the wing and engine that cost about $ 6 millions (Greenberger, ... The Five Differences Between Physical And Human Geography Physical Geography and Human Geography Physical geography looks at the ordinary course of the Earth, such as weather and plate tectonics. Human geography looks at the impact and behavior of people and how they relate to the physical world. Location Location pinpoints different positions, people, and places on the earth surface. It is defined for geography using two terms, absolute and relative. Absolute location vs relative location Absolute location answers the question where is it (The Five Themes of Geography pdf). We now use heaters and a/c units to modify our climate in houses and businesses. The selection and specialization of shelter also points to how well humans have adapted. Pigs are usually found in Europe, Africa, Southern Asia, America and Australia. They are one of the most populated mammals in the world, having about 1 billion of them living on farms throughout the world. Raising pigs may seem like a easy thing to do, but it is the exact opposite. To raise pigs, one must do it in a very specific way. There are so many pigs around the world due to their very short reproductive systems. This causes new types to arise in a short amount of time. What most people do not know about pigs is how intelligent they are. Pigs are known for their reputation as dirty, noisy, and smelly animals but they will really surprise a person with their intelligence. Pigs are very complex creatures that are used for several different things and tasks. Raising pigs might seem like a easy thing to do, but it is the exact opposite. Raising a pig is done in a very specific and cautious way. Raising a pig requires a well balanced diet that includes different things that provide everything they need to maintain a healthy life. • 8. Black Identity And Missing Identity Boo! Ghosts are the most popular halloween costumes with children. Perhaps the popularity comes from the idea that children like hiding their true identity, a fascination that will continue into adulthood. In Native Guard, Natasha Trethewey is a half white and half black woman who has trouble incorporating her black heritage into her life therefore missing a piece of her identity. In Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, characters described as a phantom or shade indicate missing or different identities. In The Circle by Dave Eggers, the employees live through what the circle tells and have no original ideas which stems from their missing identity. them Ghosts are the soul of a once living person, but they are incomplete in that they are missing emotions or major characteristics of a human. Because of these missing pieces, ghosts represent missing identity. In Native Guard by Natasha Trethewey, the poet has a difficult time letting both her white father and black mothers culture into her life and her black culture is described as ghostlike because the black culture is the missing part of her true identity. The Civil War divided the United States which most people try to forget. Under United States legislation, criminals are innocent until proven guilty in a court trial, but the judicial system during the twentieth century did not properly give them fair trials. Instead, the court system convicted many prisoners guilty of crimes they supposedly committed. Prisons in America contained a high percentage of poor people because they could not afford bail or lawyers. The judicial system had no respect towards the poor because they were viewed as uneducated people. Since the rich had the finances to pay for lawyers and bail, they were less likely to be incarcerated. Money showed respect, intelligence, and power for wealthy people. Besides discrimination being an issue for the judicial system, unfair trials for convicts also occurred. Prisoners were not given the chance to plead guilty or not guilty in a courtroom because they did not have lawyers appointed to them. The judge solely decided whether to convict a criminal guilty or not guilty of the crime they supposedly committed. It was common for prisoners to be incarcerated for crimes they never committed because the judicial system allowed unfair trials. Prisoners experienced brutal and inhumane treatments and conditions that include physical abuse, unsanitary living environments, and the possibility of contracting diseases. • 16. RNA Interference in Biotechnology and Pharmacetics Essay Almost all biology students learn the fundamentals of gene expression, DNA contains information which is transcribed into RNA to create protein. Students however, are not taught of RNA Interference, the biological process where RNA molecules inhibit a gene s expression, RNAi for short. While RNAi is a fairly new discovery, its use in modern biological research is groundbreaking. RNA Interference works by binding Double stranded RNA molecules (siRNA) to a complementary messenger RNA. The enzymes Dicer and Slicer then cleave the chemical bonds which hold the messeger RNA in place and prevent it from delivering protein silencing instructions thus, the term, Gene Silencing. If the PCSK9 inhibition drug deems successful it is still not sure whether the drug will perform well from a business aspect. Another application of RNAi is in Parkinson s disease. Researchers at the National Institutes of Health have successfully used RNA Interference to uncover several genes which possibly represent new therapeutic targets for treating Parkinson s disease. • 17. The Impact Of Corruption In Mexico Mexico is the eleventh most populated country in the world with a $2.2 trillion economy (CIA, 2017). It is also an extremely popular tourist destination for Americans and Europeans alike. Moreover, its people have had the highest average annual hours worked in the world every year for the last three years (OECD, 2017). Despite this, their unemployment rate is estimated to be 3.6% and their underemployment at 25% (CIA, 2017). I am going to expand on this country s issues with corruption, organized crime, violence, the economy, and how I assess their future will affects us here in the United States. Like many countries in turmoil, corruption is and has been a big part of Mexico s political scene, especially with domestic criminal organizations such as the drug cartels. Mexico s politicians have not only stolen public funds but they have also made complicit agreements with multiple drug cartels. Mexico ranks No. 123 in Transparency International s 2016 Corruption Perception Index, 25 spots lower than the year before. Analysts say it s unclear whether corruption has gotten worse or has merely become more visible because of transparency laws, journalists increasingly uncovering graft and social media exposing politicians excesses (Agren, 2017). In recent years there have been multiple Mexican politicians prosecuted and arrested due to their illegal dealings but the cycle just continues with their successors. Take Javier Duarte for example, who was the governor of Veracruz State from 2010 to 2016 and managed to steal $3 billion from public funds meanwhile violence spread throughout the state. The violence was so severe that mass graves with 250 skulls were discovered and at least 17 journalists were murdered during his tenure (Agren, 2017). Additionally, the two former Tamaulipas State governors were both indicted for their involvement in illicit activities. The former governor, Tomás Yarrington, was accused of taking bribes from both the Zetas Cartel and the Gulf Cartel; meanwhile in 2015 his successor, Eugenio Hernández, was indicted in Texas on federal money laundering charges (Agren, 2017). Wright s Simply Jesus would be an understandable breath of fresh air. However this book raised more questions in my mind and beliefs than Mere Christianity ever did. Wright asks a lot of poignant questions in the book in regards to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and in turn triggers even more questions in his readers. He captures the nature of a 21st century Christian perfectly. Like it or not we are a doubting group who question everything in our society whether that be politics, relationships, or religion. While reading Part One of Simply Jesus I had a nagging thought growing in the back of my mind. With every page I read it became stronger and more prominent until it was a clearly formed question; why did God not prepare the world for the coming of Christ better? Now of course I know that there were prophesies and foreshadowing of Christ but my question is not why did God not say there would be a savior, because He did, but rather why did He not give the people some more information. Ever since I was a child I have heard over and over again that the people of Israel did not believe that Jesus was the Messiah was because they were expecting something else. Authoritarian control is often destructive to students who are in the primary grades, and eventually upper grades teachers have difficulty dealing with children who were taught with an authoritarian teacher (Jones 215). Children in primary grades feel the urge to talk about their problems, fears, or even show their knowledge, but at the same time they want to be listened too. The student will feel valued and respected. Students feel flattered when the teacher eventually gives them the option of contributing, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

You will read about her life, why she represents artilleryman, other things she represents, and many interesting facts about her. Your only job is to load the cannon and light the fuse. Back at that time it was a very dangerous job because the cannon was just as likely to explode as to shot the intended projectile. Which some may consider being a sudden death? This in turn is how she is related to field artilleryman. The United States military isn t the only group that claims her for patronage. Along with artilleryman around the world she is also tradioninally the patron saint of any profession that deals with explosives. Some examples may be miners, military engineers, gunsmiths and armoires. Many Catholics who have a risk of sudden death or even a violent death pray to her to keep them safe. She is seen as an embodiment of safety all around the world. Mostly celebrated on Saint Barbra s day, which is December 4th, by Military around the world she is also celebrated through Universities and cultures. In several South American and Caribbean religions she is associated with deities of fire. All throughout north and South America she has churches named in her honor. Halifax, a small city in the province of Nova Scotia, Canada is currently taking on the project of building a new convention center to replace the old and derelict convention center. This project has been widely accepted and praised by many local government officials and business people as a tremendous step forward and a driver for the city s growth. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Convention centers are generally not expected to make a profit on their operations or cover their construction costs . As a result, the vast majority of projects are covered by government funding with the hope that the economic benefits for the city will justify this subsidy. These new or refurbished convention centers are expected to bring in more foreign visitors, increasing tourism and bringing in foreign capital. While this can be true, examples of success stories lie in cities where tourism is already prevalent and lends themselves to larger cities far more than smaller ones . Similarly, projections are made under the assumption that all conference and event attendees will be visitors. Project revenue received from local hotels, restaurants, and stores is determined under this premise. This assumption is largely exaggerated, as studies have shown that the number of hotel rooms estimated to be used during a given year was one third of the initial projections. This is because locals make up a large portion of conference attendees . As a result, most spending is from local residents rather than visitors, completely negating the purpose of building a center to bring in external revenue. It is apparent that since attendees are primarily local residents, there is no increase in sales revenue at neighboring businesses. Moreover, this particular project has proven to not only be unbeneficial for surrounding restaurants and retailers, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Introduction Globalization as the acutely adamant affiliation of economies, societies and cultures into a borderless accepted communications [technology] and accumulation arrangement [is] a world transforming process, not all which is pleasant, (Morrison, 2010, p. 32). Although globalization is, and will apparently abide for some time, one of a lot of ambiguous and misunderstood concepts, there is some accepted arena to be beginning an allotment of all the confusion (White, 2008). They think of selling their products in foreign countries and think of ways to do so. Before you know it, they have become global marketers. Many companies know that by doing business in other countries, they can broaden their potential buyers. By selling to foreign customers, though, retailers are stumbling upon roadblocks. Depending on what type of business you are in, you can find similar companies in other countries and form a partnership. This gives the seller more recognition in the foreign country. But, it is usually more costly due to the added expense of another office. By forming a partnership with a company that is in the country you want to do business in, the partner possibly has a list of contacts, already. This makes selling the product or service a lot easier. Still though, companies wanting to expand in foreign markets must be careful in choosing their partners. If they are not careful whom they choose as a partner, they could risk losing control of their product or service. And, they need to pay close attention to the day to day activities of selling. Some small businesses get too hasty because they want to expand their market and gross profit, so they make bad judgment calls when it comes to finding a company to form their joint venture with. The third method is by using a licensing agreement. Basically, the foreign company/business buys the rights to the American product. They become the licensees. This would seem the simplest method, since the licensee, it seems, would sell the product then send you a check every month or so depending on the contract. However, you have to be careful of this strategy as well. Some licensees buy the product and then shove it back on the shelves so it won t compete with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
