The Underlying Cause Of WWI
World War 1 was made up of conflicts of several nations wanting power of the other s.World War
1 happened in 1914 in the middle east. WW1 was caused by the nation s use of
Militarism,Alliances,Imperialism, and Nationalism. With WW1 being caused by more than one
thing they all had an portion of the impact on starting the war. In more that most cases militarism
and alliances had the most impact, which most of the war consisted of the two. One underlying
cause of WW1 was Militarism. Militarism is the glorification and the use of having an army on

Standing In Ignorance-Kneeling In Disrespect
Standing in Ignorance Kneeling in Disrespect Why is that humans, armed with a brain capable
of speaking multiple languages, seem to fail at communication at a fundamental level?
Recently, some people have criticised NFL players for kneeling during the playing of the
national anthem. Others claim that those accusing NFL players of disrespecting a nation
symbol are themselves disrespecting those players right to free speech. While both sides seem
passionate about their respective argument, it appears as though both sides are failing at making
the situation better for anyone. Rather than making the situation better for everyone, both sides
are increasing the divide that separates them. Even children understand that if you want to have
lots of friends you need to play nice. Clearly NFL player s are protected by the constitution, but
are they really getting their point across by angering those whom they wish to deliver their
message to? Anyone has the right to be upset or offended by the acts of NFL players, but are
these critics going to change anyone s mind by lashing out and getting angry? It is clear that if
either side wants to gain any ground in their respective argument, both sides must work together to
achieve their goals. NFL players have made clear that kneeling for the Star Spangled Banner is a
way to create awareness for the various issues they see throughout the country, but is this the best
approach to voicing their opinions. Certainly NFL players have a

Japan And China Relations During The End Of World War II
Japan and China have been in cold relations ever since the end of World War II. After the war, there
was barely any diplomacy to bring together their relation. Not until 1972 Prime Minister Kakuei
Tanaka of Japan visited China with an official invitation. At the scene, both sides were willing for
reconciliation and normalization, result with the Joint Communique between two governments.
From that moment on, the (economic) relations of the two nations has been reestablished,
encouraged and developed rapidly (China, Japan Joint Communique, 1972). There is an opinion
that China s incredible (economic) developing rate has greatly influenced Japan diplomatic with
Beijing since that time. And this essay is going to support this argument with data as well as
historical and contemporary context. First, energy requirement is usually critical to the
development and modernization of China and the stabilization of Japan. Therefore, variables that
related to it can influence both countries economic interest, lead to the consideration of policy
makers. It is clear that both countries were in need of developing their gas and oil fields. Second,
Japanese engagement into China market have changed a lot Japanese companies and corporations
were having decreasing influence on the economy of the client country led to the need of adjusting
investment policies within the government body. Third, China is modernizing and in many ways
will be able to surpass Japan in near future. Therefore

The Transition Of Internet Through Ipv4 Ipv6
Abstract
The transition of Internet from Ipv4 to Ipv6 is insistent and ineluctable. We can see a couple of
solutions for this proposed by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). Even though have not
proved to be a success when it comes to the virtual world. And still we can see that researches are
going on for the solution nowadays. The solution includes direct influence on many aspects of
networking such as provisioning, network performance and training. In this article we mainly
discuss on the IPv6 transition solutions. We first briefly discusses IPv6 transition solutions, which
will highlight the demands and then the security flaws faced by them.
Introduction
IPV4 vs IPV6
Ipv4 remains for Internet Protocol form 4. It is the underlying engineering that makes it workable
for us to interface our gadgets to the web. Ipv4 utilizes a 32 bit location space, in which can suit
around 4 billion remarkable locations. While that sounds generous, the functional number of usable
locations is really much lower. The current Internet has become much bigger than was anticipated.
There are a few issues, for example, approaching depletion of the Ipv4 location space, arrangement
and complexities and poor security at the IP level. (PARR, 2011)
In the early 90 s, to overcome these issues IETF (Web Building Team (IETF), started making an
exchange IP Convention named specific Ipv6. Ipv6 is the sixth update to the Web Convention and
the successor to Ipv4. It works also to Ipv4 in that it

Unit 3: Comparison Essay Throne of Blood is a film directed by Akira Kurosawa which is based on
William Shakespeare s play The Tragedy of Macbeth Macbeth. While Macbeth takes place in
Scotland, Throne of Blood is set in Japan. Macbeth is a tragic play that is mainly revolving around
Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. The play and film are two productions that are very similar but differ
in the aspects of the plot events.
Macbeth and his friend Banquo wandered into talking to three witches. The three witches tell
Macbeth he s going to be king, but they also tell Banquo that his children will be in the royalty
line. Macbeth takes interest in the possibility of being a king, but he doesn t pursue with any
actions until his wife finds out about the prophecies. Once Lady Macbeth found out, she constantly
built ambition upon her husband. To become king, Macbeth first had to kill Duncan. Macbeth
killed Duncan and was filled with remorse and regret, but his wife was basically the one under ...

would debate rather its macbeth s fault or not because his ambition was driven not only by
himself, but by his wife and the society. At the beginning of the play, Macbeth was excited over
the idea of being king, but didn t really have plans on pursuing it until his wife pushed him into
killing Duncan. Eventually, it got to the point that murdering seemed normal to Macbeth
considering the fact that he just sent murderers to the Macduff house. There was even a point in
the play where Banquo, who was Macbeth s friend, questioned how far macbeth would pursue
things and if he d be a loyal friend or let ambition take over him. Macbeth brushed it off as if it
meant nothing, but that basically foreshadowed that Macbeth just simply set up for Banquo and his

Persuasive Speech About Adoption
For those of you who don t know I am adopted. My adoption story may be a little different than
other adoption stories. Things had happened at that point or were going to happen in the future
that would change me. I was adopted at age 4 and my sister was about 1 at the time. My adoption
stayed open which means if I wanted I could still have contact with my birth family. Adoptionin
itself teaches you a lot, but sometimes the different things that happen can teach you more.
One day my mom came and found me and my sister and told us we had to go somewhere. We
went and found our shoes and started heading out the door. My sister and I started hoping down
the front steps just about running into a vehicle parked out front. My mom told me and my
sister to get in, both of us were kind of scared but we did it anyways. So me and my sister
attempted getting into the big vehicle, well it may not have been that big, but to us it seemed
like it was. We drove for what seemed like hours till all of a sudden the car stopped. I opened the
door and hoped out onto the cold hard cement. I didn t know where we were at, I had never seen
this place before. The people in the car and my mom told us to go up to the front steps and they
will be right behind us. So me and my sister made our way up the steps and to a big front door.
We looked and found a doorbell and chose to push it. After just a little while the door opened and
this younger couple looked down at us with huge smiles on their faces.

Tanis Essay
The ancient site of Tanis in the Egyptian Delta has been the subject of much examination in
relation to its identity as the official location of the site. The proposed sites of Avaris and Pi
Ramesses were thought to be the location of Tanis. Due to heavy recycling of furniture, dГ©cor
and construction materials from other sites, many historians and archeologists dismissed the site as
the legitimate Tanis, known to be the capital of the Egyptian XXIst XXIInd dynasties, as many
findings suggested otherwise. The articles this essay will analyse, Gold of the Pharaohs by J.

Providing evidence supporting the points proposed by Yoyette, M. Bietak s article Avaris the
Capital of the Hyksos explores the most recent excavation at Tell el Dab`a, which is the modern site
at the location of Avaris. Following on from the information Yoyette addressed, Bietak indicates that
there was a struggle with determining the location of the site Tanis, as compounded information
suggested it was the either the site Avaris or Pi Ramesses.
The article goes on to analyse the excavations in the late 20th century by the Austrian Archeological
Institute in Cairo and the Institute of Egyptology of the University of Vienna (Bietak 1996 40).
Again a problem surfaced when multiple artifacts confused the two sites of Pi Ramesses and
Avaris, such as retrieved portals belonging to houses of high officials from the Ramesside period.
Findings such as these only reinforced the view that the site of Tell el Dab`a was Piramesses.
Egyptologist Labib Habachi confirmed through his research and findings that the site was infact
Avaris, capital of the Hyksos (Bietak 1996, 40).
Bietak s document then looks into the architecture of the site, as well as surrounding agriculture,
geographical location in regard to water sources and viable materials and the distance between
Qantir and Tell el Dab`a.
Both Yoyette s and Bietak s articles discuss the close proximities of Avaris and Pi Ramesses.

The On The Deep Sea
Jyotika Virmani, an oceanographer and XPrize s senior director of prize operations, stated in
late 2015 ninety five percent of the ocean is unexplored. In fact, we have better maps of Mars.
Every time we go, we always find something new (Bathke). Exploring the deep sea has captured
the imagination of humankind ever since Leonardo da Vinci made drawings of a submarine more
than 500 years ago in 1515. Since the early 20th century, people have been venturing into the ocean
in submersible vehicles. However, it was not until 1960 when Swiss oceanographer and engineer
Jacques Piccard and United States Navy lieutenant Don Walsh descended to the bottom of the

leisure and recreation). These battery operated vehicles allow two to four individuals generally
pilots and scientists, occasionally James Cameron to descend into the depths to make observations
and gather data and samples. The duration of these dives is limited by battery life, human
endurance, and safety protocols, but they typically do not last more than eight to ten hours,
including descent time which is approximately 4 hours for a seafloor depth of 4000 meters
(Thorpe, Steele, Turekian).
Traditionally, humans have investigated the ocean from ships on its surface. But to really
understand what it s like on the seafloor, humans need to be on it. Even so, many aspects of
ocean exploration are best left to robots. Remotely operated vehicles, or ROVs, are another
popular type of submersibles. They are unmanned vessels controlled by scientists onboard a ship
via a tethering cable. On the ship, pilots send commands and power to the ROV. The ROV then
sends back data and live video to those on the ship. ROVs typically contain sonar equipment, video
cameras, and still cameras. Depending on the research objective, the ROV may also have
manipulator arms for collecting samples of rock, sediment, or ocean life to return to scientists
(Lewis).
The last form of popular submersible, autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), are vehicles that
can navigate vast distances and collect scientific data without any human control.

Essay on Unconditional Planetary Love
Over the years, the Earth s atmosphere has been exposed to many man made products and
pollutants, and has incurred detrimental effects in return. The ozone layer is suffering severe
damage from the gasses that are emitted from cars, factories, aerosol sprays and much more. Fossil
fuels are the single largest of atmospheric pollution; when burnt, they release in the air particle
matter, carbon monoxide and dioxide, oxides of nitrogen and sulfur, and metal compounds (Our
Planet). There are many things that can be done, to reduce the negative effects which are now
occurring. The government can help in numerous ways; from requiring the use of greener

According to the U.S. Department of Energy , In 1990, California s wind power plants offset the
emission of more than 2.5 billion pounds of carbon dioxide, and 15 million pounds of other
pollutants that would have otherwise been produced (Wind). However, there are concerns about
the noise that is produced from the blades, and the fact that birds, or other small flying animals
can fly into the blades and die. Another small issue with wind power is that it is often available
only in remote or offshore locations. As a whole, these concerns are minimal compared to the
benefits that can be reaped.
Biomass is another great resource for producing electricity. Biomass is a matter usually thought of
as garbage (Energy). It includes wood chips, crops, tires, dead trees, manure and much more. When
garbage decomposes, it gives off methane gas (Energy). Pipelines are put into the landfills and the
methane gas can be collected. It is then used in power plants to make electricity (Energy).
An additional use of biomass is to produce ethanol. Ethanol can be used in special types of cars
that are made for using alcohol fuel instead of gasoline. The alcohol can also be combined with
gasoline. This reduces our dependence on oil a non renewable fossil fuel (Energy). Biomass is a
renewable resource, because trees and plants can be replanted over and over, and used to produce
fuel. Biomass fuels are used to meet the energy needs of nearly half the

Building A Small Town With Its Own Life
Wangshu said: I want to build a small town with its own life, which could once again, wake up the
latent memory of the city.
Under the trend of globalization Chinese architects are always struggling in how to engage in the
trend of globalization and keep its unique culture and tradition. There are a large of numbers of
cities in China undergoing a delirious wave of development. Traditional dwellings are demolished
everyday replaced by high rise commercial high rise buildings which has no characteristic. The
image of cities became similar and lost their identity. There are normally two ways to deal with
this identity crisis. One way is to build landmark to display it character which always ignore the
tradition of the city. An example is the Galaxy Soho designed Zaha Hadid, which as a giant out
space invader intrude in a historical area of Beijing Hutong area without any considering the
surrounding texture and culture. The other way is considering the tradition but in fact it just
superficially make a direct reference to tradition forms. For example, on the street of Xi an the
first capital city in China, there are a lots of buildings topped with a pitched roof on high rise to
structure or Shanghai Museum which directly mimic a form of traditional cooking vessel. Those
buildings always as kitsch for their superficial mimic.

Reflections on Privatization and Criminal Justice
Thank you very much for the welcome, and for giving my talk. When the Fraser Institute called
me last year, they rang up and said they were having a conference and we would like to invite
you, and I thought I think you have the wrong person. Basically, everybody else there, except
myself and one person from Nova Scotia, were in favour of privatization and very strongly in
favour of it, especially with respect to prisons. It was actually very educational and interesting to
engage in that debate. First of all I would like to thank you very much for the invitation and to

So on the one hand we are surrounded by the phenomenon and on the other hand we don t know
as much about it as we should. Even my own work, I might add, privatization is more or less a
tangent for me as I do other areas of research. I think it is indication that very few people in
Canada, criminologists, are systematically focussing on this but I keep getting roped back into this.
I just wish I had three lives at once so that I could pursue it the way I really want to. Privatization is
an area that really needs attention, and lets hope that students here at St. Thomas are going to take
this up. Let me just mention one or two topics that need attention. Many people talk about
privatization in criminal justice, including myself, mention that it is likely that private companies
will try and influence criminal justice policy in various places. Yet when you look for the empirical
support for this there is very little factual information there. Or we talk a bit about the decline of the
military in industrial conflicts, the end of the Cold War, and new markets opening up for these
companies internationally and we see some of the companies moving from the United States into
Britain, Australia and now also Canada, and we hear things about them moving into Latin American
countries and East European countries, but again this international dimension is one that there has
been very little systematic research on. So the whole area is just begging for

Plant Sets And Its Effect On Our Lives
Part A The results were conclusive and differed slightly from previously expectations with the
plants germinated with an absence of light growing on average 17.975 mm per day compared to
the plants with exposure to light growing 6.965 mm less at an average of 11.01 mm per day.
This trend was evident throughout the duration of the experiment however as the investigation
continued it was clear the growth of both plant sets was beginning to decrease and slow. As
shown in graph 2.0 and table 1.0 on day 15 the plants grown in the dark had reached a height of
175.9 mm and by day 17 they had only grown 1.475 mm and reached a height of 177.375 mm,
compared to the growth between day 8 and 9 when the plants grew by 44.375 mm, a 48%
increase, nearly doubling its height of 47.85 mm on day 8. The heights of both sets altered from

Analysis Of Lamb To The Slaughter By Mary Maloney
Insanely Innocent
Everyone does something at some point in their life that can be considered insane. Sometimes it s
simple things like trying a new food or a new hobby However, other times it can bit more extreme
such as stepping outside of the status quo or just simple committing a crime altogether. The story,
Lamb to the Slaughter by Roald Dahl depicts the life of Mary Maloney and the event of her killing
her husband. However, Mary Maloney is innocent due to reason of Insanity because she portrays
symptoms of a person with schizophrenia, the forced conformity of gender roles, and her over
attachment or jealousy for her husband.
Most of Roald Dahl s characters have a tendency to have an underlying trait to them. In this case,

Roald Dahl also plays with the gender role aspect of the 1950 s. The 1950 s were really focused
around the white picket fence perfect family. There was expected to be a mom and a dad with at
least one kid. The mom would stay home to cook and clean while the husband went off to work .
Once the husband returned home, they would sit down as one family and eat the meal the
woman prepared. Divorce was not a common thing and was a very unacceptable thing at this
time. In fact, the article 1950 s family life Michael Rich says, Divorce was not a common thing.
Why? Societal pressure for one thing. You were supposed to get married and stay married,
regardless of how miserable you were. Divorce carried a stigma... in the Fifties, a woman s best
chance at employment was in traditionally accepted women s jobs such as secretary, teacher,
nurse, librarian and so forth. So there was an economic incentive to stay married. However in
the story, Mr. Maloney completely goes against the social custom of not divorcing. On page 382
of Lamb to the Slaughter it says, And I know it s kind of a bad time to be telling you, but there

Rick Deckard Character Analysis
According to the book, the line that interests me the most was You re a murderer hired by the
cops. (1). It makes me wonder what the protagonist has as an occupation. In the beginning, Rick
Deckard is introduced as a young man who hunts androids that are on the loose. One machine
quality that humans have is the desire to survive. Robots are programmed to do their job in the
best way possible, and this applies to Rick Deckard because he will do whatever it takes to
accomplish his goal. Rick Deckard fails to express his concern for androids because he believes
that they are not people with feelings. Because of his actions, Rick Deckard questioned his
ethics when he wondered if he would be able to recoup enough for the job ahead (33). Even
though he knows that it is morally wrong to kill androids, he does not have a choice because this
is his job. Rick Deckard receives money in exchange for catching and retiring androids. In other
words, money is power because it motivates him to work hard at his job.... Show more content on

I believe machines have the ability of detecting the emotions of a person by using technological

androids had no regard for animals, which possessed no ability to feel emphatic joy for another life
form s success or grief at its defeat that, for him, epitomized The Killers (13). The author explains
that machines are products instead of living creatures because they lack emotions. One human
quality that androids have is intelligence. Despite the fact that androids do not have feelings, they
are very smart in everything that they do. The mood organ is the perfect example. It makes a

Essay Intellectual Property and Copyrights Issues in China
Intellectual Property and Copyrights Issues in China
1. Introduction
China had made great improvement in deregulation and had complied with its obligations to follow
rules and agreements such as Agreement on Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights
(TRIPS) as a new member of the World TradeOrganization (WTO) since 2001. TRIPS introduced
intellectual property rules into the multilateral trading system. It ensures that computer programs
will be protected as literary works under the Berne Convention and outlines how databases should
be protected under copyright section.
As the rush to riches continues to gain pace, people s legal right to own private property is
protected by a law. However, Intellectual property and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The derivative works are encouraged with the condition that derivatives must be designated as
freeware. Most prominent offering is the GNU/Linux operating system.
When the original copyright holder explicitly relinquishes all rights to the software it is classified
as public domain software. All intellectual works and software are protected when they are
committed to a medium. Therefore it must be marked as such to be public domain.
2) What s the difference? Copyrights, patents, trademarks, etc
They are treated differently because they use different types of creations. According to WTO
definition, patents, industrial designs, integrated circuit designs, geographical indications and
trademarks have to be registered in order to be protected by law. However, copyright and trade
secrets are protected automatically according to specified conditions. There is no need to disclose
and this is how copyrighted computer software is constructed.
2. Copyright Status
China ranked second for software piracy after Vietnam in 2000 report from Business Software
Alliance. US is reckoned to lose $1.12bn in 2000 through Chinese copyright abuse. Chinese
authorities called for better implementations of Chinese copyright issues be implemented and they
are trying to maintain control over its expending internet population, which more than quadrupled
during 1999 to 8.9 million users according to Chinese officials.

Contestants In Survivor Psychology
The television show Survivor focuses on a group of strangers in an isolated location, where they
compete in challenges for rewards and immunity from being eliminated, as well as having to
provide shelter, food, and fire for themselves. The winner is decided by a vote from the eliminated
contestants, also known as the jury. Contestants are voted off at tribal council, but have the chance
to be immune from the vote through immunity challenges. Contestants in Survivor are affected
physically, psychologically, and emotionally by things they can and can t control. For example,
they have no choice in who they are competing against, but they have some control over how much
food they have, depending on things like if they can fish or not. The... Show more content on

The producers use the disparities in age to create drama and keep their viewers entertained.
In Survivor, the players are constantly under a great amount of stress. The different types of
stress can have a huge impact on how they end up playing the game. For example, physical
stressors, such as food deprivation, also alter psychological factors such as motivation and
irritability, and can increase impulsive and aggressive behavior (Gerrig 75). In other words, the
toll of physical stress can lead to more aggressive and more impulsive players as well as affecting
the players moods. Throughout every episode there is some form of aggression. Wilson found four
different types of aggression and labelled them as, theft, verbal aggression, minor aggression, and
deceit (9). He defines each type of aggression, saying,
Theft was defined as taking the property of another person without the owner s consent or
knowledge (e.g., robbery, burglary, and larceny). Verbal aggression was any nonphysical act that
places another under duress with the intention to pressure, constrain, or persuade in a noxious
manner (e.g., extortion, coercion, threats, abridgment of privacy, and harassment). Verbal
aggression was any hostile remark meant to diminish another s self image or cause psychological
harm. Minor aggression was any physical aggression resulting in minor harm or no harm to another,
including acts like slapping, punching, and kicking. Deceit was purposely misleading another

The Conflict Over Territory Is Because Of Religious Belief...
Are religious beliefs about and attachments to the land more of a hindrance than a help in finding
peace in Israel Palestine? In your response compare and contrast Jewish and Islamic perspectives.
To a certain extent, the current conflict in Israel can be defined as religious; this is predominantly
due to the beliefs and attachments Abrahamic religions hold to the land. The conflict stems from
the inability to share ownership of what the religions consider to be their holy land (Dowty, 2012,
p.2); thus, territory is the foremost cause of the Israel/Palestine conflict, but it is questionable as to
whether this is a religious matter or a political matter (Eugene Korn, 2008, p.x). Consequently, this
essay will discuss and conclude whether the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, religion has become intertwined in a dispute over territory because both parties have
used religious beliefs to defend their nationalist attachments; thus, religious beliefs and attachments
to the land hinder peace because the opposing beliefs conflict one another causing increased
tension. But, it is disputable as to whether religion or political attachments have more of a role in
preventing peace.
The Jewish involvement with Israel/Palestine can be traced back to 2000 BCE, when Abraham,
who the Jews claim is their oldest ancestor (Little, 2007, p.303), followed a message from God to
immigrate to the Land of Canaan (Genesis 12:5), which is modern day Israel. Since this point, the
Jewish people have fought to reside in Israel because it is the land that God promised them in the
covenant he created with Abraham. Although this ideology is rooted in the biblical rights to the
land, Theodore Herzl, who initiated Zionism to regain authority over Israel, intended for the
movement to be political (Little, 2007, p.305), thus

Chloramphenicol And Protein Synthesis Lab Report
Introduction
In this practical, we will investigate and compare the mechanisms of action of the drugs:
Chloramphenicol and Rifampicin, specifically by identifying whether their effects are bacteriostatic
or bactericidal, and by looking at their effect on RNA and protein synthesis
Antibiotics can be divided into two categories: Bactericidal or Bacteriostatic. Bactericidal
antibiotics directly kill the micro organisms, and depending on the amount given, the bacteria will
not recover after administration of the antibiotic is ceased. Bacteriostatic antibiotics prevent growth
of the bacteria, by targeting proteins that are involved in reproduction. Once the bacteriostatic
antibiotic is removed, population numbers usually increase again.
One of the drugs we will be investigating is Chloramphenicol. Chloramphenicol is a member of the
Amphenicol family/class of antibiotics. It is effective against gram negative and gram positive
bacteria. Members of the family work by targeting protein synthesis. Due to its ability to work
against gram negative and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Rifampicin specifically binds to and inhibits RNA polymerase in prokaryotic organisms. It is a
potent agent used to treat tuberculosis. It targets the majority of gram positive bacteria and a
considerable number of gram negative bacteria. It is able to kill intracellular microorganisms as it
can enter phagocytes. Drug resistance can arise quickly and easily, and is believed to occur due to
a chromosomal mutation, which results in a change in the DNA dependent RNA polymerase.
Rifampicin is orally administrated, and has no common unwanted side effects. Side effects can
include: skin rashes, fever and gastrointestinal disturbances. Liver damage has been observed in
rare cases. Rifampicin also induces metabolising enzymes in the liver, and therefore drugs such as
warfarin may be quicker metabolised. (Dale and Rang,

Child Labour And Its Effect On Children Essay
Child labour, in the Western tradition, evokes a negative connotations of dangerous work being
committed by children, and while child labour that causes physiological or psychological damage
to children, or inhibits their ability to gain an education is reprehensible, not all child labour is
detrimental. However, child work, which is difficult to differentiate from child labour, is an
acceptable even beneficial to the child and their family. This is especially true in agriculture.
However, certain industries should prohibit all children from working such as working
domestically outside of the child s home or within mining. While children are working in all these
industries it become a question of why. There are several reasons including: poverty, which is
associated with an inability to receive an education, the cultural context of a society, family
breakdown, and a lack of government enforcement and resources. In order to address the underlying
causes of child labour it is imperative that implement policies that reduce and eliminate child labour,
additionally there must be cultural enjoyment to better educate the populace on what the
obligations the state has signed on too, also education needs to be free in its entirety to ensure
everyone has equal opportunity for advancement, finally there needs to be greater government
resources invested in reducing the sources of poverty. Due to the loose categorization of children s

Who Is Tom Brady A Hero
Tom Brady can be defined as a hero in many ways. Tom Brady has been an underdog throughout
his life. Whether one is talking about his high school, college, or NFL career, he has been
considered a long shot, and many people doubted his capabilities. Tom Brady was born on August
3rd, 1977. Since he was very young he attended San Francisco 49ers games, and after watching
Joe Montana, he fell in love with the sport and the quarterback position. Since that day, his football
career took off, and the rest is history ( Tom Brady2017). Tom Brady is related to the Greek
Heroes, Theseus and Achilles because he was not fearful and he showed his abilities when
starting his first season as quarterback because he won the super bowl, which relates to Theseus
and the Minotaur, and he got caught with deflate gate and got dragged around and got taken
advantage of, like what Achilles did to Hector after he beat him. Tom Brady was picked in the
sixth round of the 2000 draft by the New England Patriots. He did not start at Michigan until his
junior year, and he did not have the physical build of a starting quarterback ( Tom Brady 2017).
He was tall and lengthy, and lacked a strong arm, which made it difficult for him to compare to
others coming out of the draft that year. Because of his average abilities, he did not start his first
year. He backed up Drew Bledsoe. However, his chance finally came in his second year in the
NFL. In 2001 Drew Bledsoe got hurt, and Tom stepped in to fill his position ( Bledsoe Replaced
by Brady 2011). This is when Tom could really show himself off, and express what he could do.
He led the patriots to an 11 3 record in the regular season, and won the rest of the games in the
playoffs, including a super bowl upset against the Rams. Even if that is not remarkable enough,
he went on and had a 40 12 record through his next 3 seasons ( Tom Brady 2017). This shows his
abilities and many attributes, such as his leadership, his ability to not be afraid, and his mindset to
strive for greatness. This point is highly relatable to the Greek Mythologybook, Theseus. They are
relatable because the same attributes were expressed for Theseus as well as well as Tom Brady
throughout their life s. Theseus and the

Samsung set aside around US$ 126 million for its design initiatives till 2000. After that
Samsung sent 17 designers to the Art Center College of Design to broaden their ideas about

recognize the importance of design and use it as a competitive advantage. Design plays a
significant role to add big value to the Samsung. Earlier most electronics products were
expensive and not within the reach of everyone. Also purchase decisions were based on price,
features, and quality, over time, products like TVs, cameras mobile became cheap price and

similar products of pricing and features. Most of consumer electronics companies were those

differentiates one product from the other in the marketplace because most of products of our
competitors will have same price, performance and features. Good design allowed Samsung to
command a price premium, For example, its mobile phones had the highest average unit sale price

Analysis Of The Article A Modest Proposal
The article A Modest Proposal is a proposal made by a man named Jonathan Swift who is also
known for Gulliver s Travels which is another well spoken essay of satire. When the people of
Dublin are suffering from poverty and overpopulation, Swift writes up a satirical hyperbole that
mocks the heartless Irish attitudes towards the poor. The bottleneck effect of people was so
dreadful that all the Catholic families of Dublinwere not able to support their own children. Due to
these conditions Swift writes this proposal to end the kingdom s issues in a serious but derisive
way. All of his solutions tend to be ethically wrong, but he backs up his solutions with statistical
facts. Swift s proposal is a satiremade to jolt the people of Dublin, Irelandinto understanding the
growing issues the kingdom faces with poverty and overpopulation. Swift s method of choice for
a long term elucidation is to turn the Dubliner s problems into their own solution. The proposal
consists of feeding the fattened up children of the poor and selling them to the rich citizens of the
kingdom as food. Swift states that doing this will help relieve families from paying for expensive
children, decrease overpopulation, add culinary values, increase employment, and will overall add
to the economic status of the kingdom. Swift concludes his proposal saying that it is in his greatest
interest that his proposal does not take effect, and that his only motives are improving the public
good of his country,

George Washington Essay
Washington, George (1732 99), commander in chief of the Continental army during the American
Revolution, and later the first president of the United States. He symbolized qualities of discipline,
aristocratic duty, military orthodoxy, and persistence in adversity that his contemporaries
particularly valued as marks of maturepolitical leadership.
Washington was born on February 22, 1732, in Westmoreland County, Virginia, the eldest son of
Augustine Washington, a Virginia planter, and Mary Ball Washington. Although Washington had
little or no formal schooling, his early notebooks indicate that he read in geography, military history,
agriculture, deportment, and composition and that he showed some aptitude in surveying and simple

Washington resigned his commission in 1754, but in May 1755 he began service as a volunteer
aide de camp to the British general Edward Braddock, who had been sent to Virginia with a force
of British regulars. A few kilometers from Fort Duquesne, Braddock s men were ambushed by a
band of French soldiers and Native Americans. Braddock was mortally wounded, and Washington,
who behaved gallantly during the conflict, narrowly escaped death. In August 1755 he was
appointed (with the rank of colonel) to command the Virginia regiment, charged with the defense of
the long western frontier of the colony. War between France and Britain was officially declared in
May 1756, and while the principal struggle moved to other areas, Washington succeeded in keeping
the Virginia frontier relatively safe.
The American Revolution
After the death of his elder half brother Lawrence, Washington inherited the plantation known as
Mount Vernon. A spectacular rise in the price of tobacco during the 1730s and 40s, combined
with his marriage in 1759 to Martha Custis, a young widow with a large estate, made him one of
the wealthiest men in Virginia. Elected to the House of Burgesses in 1758, he served
conscientiously but without special distinction for 17 years. He also gained political and
administrative experience as justice of the peace for Fairfax County.
Like other Virginia planters, Washington became alarmed by the repressive measures of the British
crown

A Short Note On Silent And Oral Modes Of Learning
Introduction: The focus of this Investigation Project is Remembering and Forgetting, specifically
Memory. Memory is often defined as the processing, storage and retrieval of information acquired
through learning. (Grivas, 2013, 263). The Von Restorff effect also known as the Isolation effect
is a form of a Memory bias in favour of remembering the unusual. It predicts that if an item is
isolated, that item is learned faster, retained longer, and recalled better than a non isolated item

Lots of music, fast cuts, fantastic cinematography and superb sets and costumes make it the lively
tale it was meant to be. These features also make the film somewhat cartoon like with a lot of
heightened realism. Don t expect to see British people prancing around in tights when you rent this
one. Luhrmann creates a world where gun toting youths sport Hawaiian shirts and beachfront
brawls are an everyday event.
Purists may hesitate, but the film uses its modern setting to its full potential and should be
required viewing for any director who looks to put a modern spin on the 400 year old play.
Capulet and Montague become warring Mafia leaders, the Prince of Verona is a police chief
trying to overcome the violence, and television anchors represent Shakespeare s traditional chorus.
Other, more subtle narrative devices work equally as well. No modern audience could mistake the
significance of the quot;attempted delivery quot; post it that falls off the door, never to be found.
This isn t just an update; director Baz Luhrmann has created a savvy exploitation of the film
medium that assists the audience with Shakespeare s dated language.
Giving the classic play this modern twist makes for a new understanding of the text and brings
the feud between the Montagues and the Capulets to a whole new, dramatic level. Shakespeare
may be rolling around in his grave after seeing this film, but English classes all over the world can
breathe a little easier when it comes time to take

What Is The Purpose Of The Narrative Once Upon A Time
Humans tell stories to themselves and others as a means of making sense of their world and as a
way to promote learning and spread information, or to simply entertain themselves. Completed
stories show evidence of two main parts: an underlying structure
(how the story is organized) that contains the story s intrinsic meaning and, then, there is a lesser
meaning, which is the way the story s structure is presented in the words and symbols, including
metaphors. Although the events that compose a story (plot) may not happen in a sequential order,
it is important for people or a culture to create a story in such a way that it will construct their
reality and give meaning to their subjective experience. Thus, The Narrative ... Show more content

Assignment Questions On Teaching And New Perspective
I chose to revise assignments number two and three because they were my two favorite
assignments out of the three we did during the semester. I felt that they were unique in the sense
that I had never been asked to do something like this in an English class before. It is important to
enjoy the assignments that you revisebecause the process takes a lot of time and effort. A writer
must be fully engaged with his pieces to be able to revise effectively. I also think that they will
allow me to work on two completely different aspects of my writing. In project two, my revisions
are focused around incorporating sources and supporting evidence. I also look to improve

variety of ways through out my revisions. I will look at the way I incorporate sources to make
sure that they flow smoothly and are needed and effective where they are currently placed. I will
also look at the frequency at which I incorporate sources to see if there is opportunity to

The Ethics Of Interplanetory Space Travel
I am writing this letter to you to assess the pros and cons of interplanetory space travel. Should we
send humans to Mars? Is it right? Is it really ethical to put fourth human missions to this inhospital

forward in humanity. I hope that after reading this it will assist your thoughts and consideration of
human interplanetory space travel.
Mars may remain inhospital much like the interior of the Antartic, as it stands, however we can
transform our neighbouring red planet into a hospitable checkpoint for further space travel. At this
moment in time Mars is currently uninhabited, and so, as quoted in a BBC article: this can give us
the freedom and oppotunity to artifically transform the climate, surface and atmosphere to enable

Bottled Water On The Environment
Many people across the world choose to buy bottled water, not so many realise the adverse effects
this practice has on the environment. Anthropocentric thinking as a result of modernity has led
humans to see themselves as superior to the natural world (Jones, 2010). From 2014 to 2015 the
number of Australians consuming bottled waterrose from 4.9 million per week to 5.3 million per
week (Australian Food News, 2016). The effects of bottled water consumption have severe impacts
on natural water consumption, leads to excess product consumption and waste management issues.

their cause. While the page has not been updated recently, the last count was around 81. While it
may seem like a big achievement getting an entire campus or organisation to ban bottled water,
highest commendation has to go to the town of Bundanoon in New South Wales, which was
apparently the first town in the world to enforce a ban on bottled water (Australian town bans
bottled water, 2009; McLeod, 2009). The banning of bottled water is not however always
successful in eliminating plastic bottle use. The University of Vermont banned bottled water in
2013 but found it led students to drink more unhealthy alternatives which were also served in
single use plastic bottles (Kingkade, 2015). Kingkade s (2015) article goes on to suggest
convenience as a big factor in this shift and notes that the university aimed to provide free cups in
the future. While cups may suffice for a quick drink, the convenience of a bottle which can be
carried around in a bag and to class is a better option for most students. In the words of Orr (1992,
p.90) It all comes down to whether the public understands the relation between its well being and

Considering the Legal Requirements
The Exxon Valdez oil spill that took place on March 24, 1989, was responsible for an enormous
amount of damage to the natural environment of Alaska. Animal life and plant life alike, were
severely harmed from this disastrous spill. Being such a high risk company, one would assume
that the legal requirements surrounding the company policy were prioritized. Due to the scope of
the disaster though, one may wonder just how strict the requirements were that governed the
operations of Exxon. Even if there were rules in place, how well were they being followed by
Exxon employees? What were the legal requirements that governed the operations of Exxon? Did
the people responsible for this disaster consider these? In the following discussion, these are
examined from a moral analysis point of view.
After a broad investigation that lead to many lawsuits and fines, it was clear that multiple factors
contributed to the Exxon disaster. The Coast Guard and the National Transportation Society were
two of several agencies that provided rules and regulations for Exxon. These agencies found
violations that Exxon committed that lead to the disaster. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

At the time of the Exxon disaster, it was found that Captain Joseph Hazelwood s blood alcohol
level was 0.061. The Exxon crew also broke laws pertaining to manning the ship. They simply didn
t have enough crew members. According to the state of Alaska, Manning policies also affected
crew fatigue. Tankers in the 1950s carried a crew of 40 to 42 to manage about 6.3 million
gallons of oil, the Exxon carried a crew of 19 to transport 53 million gallons. (Alaska, 2017)
Basically, the captain was intoxicated and the crew was tired. They were incompetent for the
massive task before them, to say the

The Violence Of The Watts Riot
The 1960s was a time for change. It promoted on going expectations of equality for all races. This
proved to be difficult for minorities. In August of 1965, civil unrest broke out, which lead to six
day revolt called the Watts Riot. Nearly thirty years later another riot broke out which caused even
greater damage and left an even greater impact in our history, the Rodney KingRiots. Both of these
events share similar qualities and devastating damages, however, their meanings are much harder
to decipher from one another. These impactful events in our society demonstrate how much there
needs to change in our society, especially when dealing with minorities. The Watts riots began in
the summer of 1965, in a city in Los Angeles called Watts. It all began with the arrest of a young
African American by a white California Highway Patrol officer. Now, it was not because he was
arrested for already doing something illegal, it was for the way the policeofficer treated the
individual. According to Lacine Holland, an eyewitness to the arrest, the officer took him and
threw him in the car like a bag of laundry and kicked his feet in and slammed the door. (Flournoy)
This caused lots of unrest among the fellow residents of Watts. This was just the beginning of
years of pent up oppression for the minorities, which participated in the event. Similarly, in 1992,
the Rodney King riots also arose due to the acquittal of four Los Angeles Police Departmentofficers
for their brutal beating

Planned Parenthoods
October 20th, 2015 the U.S House voted to end taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood due to
their harvesting of body parts of aborted babies and fetal tissue, among other parts for scientific
research and selling to third party companies to distribute. The companies they sold to used the
parts as they wished for research and supposedly for ingredients in cosmetic wear. Center for
Medical Progress, an anti abortiongroup, released the videos of them secretly meeting with director
of Texas Planned Parenthoods who teaches the methods for abortions for the state, whom explained
that they perform abortions to gather intact fetal specimens. Many types of people claim that such

Even on the patient consent form, patients at Planned Parenthood sign a form that says I agree
to give my blood and/or the tissue from the abortion as a gift to be used for education, research

and AIDS. A professor of University of Wisconsin Madison s law, medicine and public health,
explains that it makes sense that money is involved in the procurement of tissue and organs,
even if that involves fetal specimen. The professor, R. Alta Charo says, It s been going on for 50
or 60 years; it s ordinary practice, she says. There is good reason for it. We want to help the
people who are living or may be living in the future. But according to Eric Ferrero, vice president of
communications at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, says the research has advanced
vaccines, treatments for life threatening diseases, and goes toward finding cures for specific
maternal and infant health conditions. The National Institutes of Health Revitalization Act even
allows for reasonable payments associated with transportation, implantation, processing,
preservation, quality control, or storage of human fetal issue. This law doesn t define reasonable
payments , so violations can be difficut to prove. Most Planned Parenthood facilities and any
abortion provider don t have control over how fetal tissue is ultimately used and many women
(patients) are uninformed of the possibilities of how their donation is used in the consent forms.
Research to develop skin cosmetics and anti aging products has also benefitted from the collecting
of fetal tissue (non medical) and there isn t a standing law that prevents

It s the conflict between principle and pragmatism. There aren t any immutable commandments
which will always apply. Instead, four general guidelines you should try and keep in mind are: 1
Be systematic in evaluating the expected costs and benefits of negotiation 2 Never do an

negotiation but make it rebuttable 4 Don t allow your own moral beliefs to color a pragmatic

challenges When trying to resolve a conflict, there are generally three challenges which affect
your ability to make a good decision on whether to negotiate or not: 1 2 You have to analyze the
cost and benefits of negotiating versus all other viable alternatives 3 The three challenges You
have to avoid all the emotional traps which can lead to an unwise knee jerk reaction You have to
address all the moral and ethical issues involved in deciding whether to negotiate with an enemy
After helping to resolve many business and family disputes over the years, I have come to believe
that for most of us, confronting an enemy poses exceptional negotiation challenges. When I say

Sand Country Almanac Review
In A Sand Country Almanac by, Aldo Leopold, he talks about the sky, and the horizon but also
explaining how a new day has begun . He talks about the ice age and the history explaining the
change of our generations. He expresses how beautiful nature is, and the need to preserve it, for
example, there are no words to describe the beauty of nature. Due to a glacier, one fell and crushed
a valley that had soon slowly started filling with water; this is explaining the change that had
occurred from long ago to how it is now. In Land Ethic it talks about evolution and how it was
studied. He talks the relations between people and their society but also the specific role people
had, due to the Golden Rule. There are two Kinds of Ethics Leopold talks about, which are
ecological and philosophical. Ethic is carried in a way to be a connection with people and the
land, for example they think the people will start to feel more of an authority to care and respect
for natural resources. He wants everything to stay in balanced, but with humans, they are producing
a different cycle and creating the loss of natural.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Bloody Past The Wandering Future Analysis
The material significance of water is clear. Water is an essential part of human life. Whether it s
the water we ingest in order to maintain the strength and integrity of our bodily structure and
functions, or the water in our oceans that preserve the fragile ecosystem of our planet and cover a
majority of the Earth s surface. We have learned to exploit water for our survival and our leisure,
sometimes at great risk. However, water also has a psychological significance to humans. There is
something about water that has always attracted humanity. It is evident from our literature that
humanity has often felt drawn to the water. Some good examples of this are Tim Winton s 2008
novel Breath and The Bloody Past, the Wandering Future , written by Janette Turner Hospital as a
part of her Dislocation series in 1990.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is largely about the coming of age of the narrator, Bruce Pikelet Pike in the early 1970s. Turner
Hospital is also an Australian born novelist and short story writer. She wrote The Bloody Past, the
Wandering Future in 1986. The Bloody Past the Wandering Future has no particular setting. It is
based around the generational experiences of the narrator, her forefathers and her son. The
narrator, who is assumed to be Janette Turner Hospital herself, tells a fragmented story that
involves five generations of her family. Both of these works heavily focus on settings surrounded
by waterways and the sea. By comparing the works of Winton and Turner Hospital, this essay will
aim to prove that waterways and the sea are significant locations to humankind because of our

A Brief Review Of The Star Spangled Banner
The nationa anthem of the U.S. is The Star Spangled Banner. The song was originally a poem,
written by lawyer and amateur poet Francis Scott Key during the War of 1812. On September 3,
1814, while the war still raged, Francis Scott Key boarded a British ship near Baltimore,
Maryland. President James Madison had given the lawyer permission to try to persuade two
British officers to release an American prisoner.Key might have overheard plans for an overnight
attack on Fort McHenry in Baltimore. They decided to keep Key until after the battle was over. Key
waited on board the British ship, anxious about how the battle would turn out. In the morning, he
saw that the American flag continued to fly above the fort. The U.S. had won the battle. At

Frequency Analysis Paper
In this paper we will analyze a sample recoding of my voice using Audacity, in both the
Frequency Analysis window graph, and also the time domain graph. I ll go over what both
graphs above mean, and what I can tell by the composition of of my voice signal. Likewise, we ll
discuss the voice signals amplitude and bandwidth. As we analyze the graphs we will see how
this information could be used to plan a transmission facility, and why we must be careful to
avoid clipping. Furthermore we will dig deeper and ask the question if, 300 4,000 Hz bandwidth,
would sufficient enough for a telephone system, and then finally end this paper with an
explanation why do we want 20 to 20,000 Hz bandwidth in music systems today. At the end of the
paper I am hopeful that the information I provide will give you a clearer picture on signal
transmissions as a whole.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The simplest way to put is Frequency means how fast is the signal is changing. In this graph
what we have used is a small sample of an audio recording of my voice. Sound waves can be
examined in relationships of their amplitude and frequency. In the frequency analysis graph the
recoding is then plotting a graph of frequency (x axis, in Hz) versus intensity (y axis, in dB).
Thus allowing us to be able to analyze the recording signals with respect to frequency. As in
which the other graph allows us to measure the voice recording in respect with time. So in the
frequency analysis graph we can see the the higher the dB s are the higher the pitch is within that
portion of the audio compared to another fragment of the recording where the dBs are lower. The
frequency of a audio wave affects the pitch of the sound we hear. In the first graph we are able to
see the length and how much time/space the sinusoidal signals recoding takes by the amplitude and

Heart Of Darkness Critical Analysis
The Heart of Darkness, written by Joseph Conrad , is a very interesting and intriguing novel . It
was originally published in 1899 . A great deal of the criticisms focused on racial tension and
imperialism, which were very important topics that stuck out in reading the Heart of Darkness .
Many literary criticisms praise the novel and the entertainment it brings to the audience . Although
the Heart of Darkness receives a lot of praise, many critics negatively criticize the novel for various
reasons . Joseph Conradwas huge on attacking the topic of racism, which was a problem associated
with this novel during this time period . Shockingly, racism was mostly looked over by other
critics. This was due to how racism was interpreted and defined as in 1902 . The meaning of
racism has changed over time . During this time period, racism, the word itself, wasn t in existence
. However, that does not mean that racism didn t occur during that time . In fact , racial tensions
were so common that the actual word racism wasn t used because it wasn t necessary. Chinua
Achebewrites a strong critique explaining his opposing thoughts against the Heart of Darkness and
proving that point. Achebe believes that Joseph Conrad was in fact a racist, and he also believes
that a novel that depersonalizes the human race shouldn t even be in the running to be called a great
novel . He states that the simple truth should not be overlooked in other criticisms. Achebe explains

Strategic Compensation And Bases For Pay
This paper will examine setting the stage for strategic compensation and bases for pay. There are
three main goals of compensation departments: internal consistency, market competitiveness, and
recognition of individual contributions. Internally consistent compensation systems define the
relative value of each job among all jobs within a company. (Martocchio, pg. 22, 2011) With this
system companies want employees to be paid more based on their qualifications and
responsibilities. They believe someone with less experience should be paid differently. To
determine such evaluation companies use job analysis in order to provide job descriptions. The job
evaluation is to determine pay according to a particular position. Market competitive... Show more

Some employees rely on the extra income every couple of months to help with expenses, but
because of the high taxes attached to the income depending on what the actual amount would be
may not be worth it at all. The purpose of most profit plans provides more financial flexibility to
the company. Profit sharing plans may fail to motivate employees because they do not see a
direct link between their efforts and corporate profits. Hourly employees may have trouble
seeing the connection because their efforts appear to be several steps removed from the
company s performance, and because company profits vary from year to year, employees receive
their earnings based off company profits. Employees will find it difficult to predict their
earnings, which will affect their saving and buying behavior. (Martocchio, pg. 97, 2011) Pay for
knowledge plans reward managerial, service, or professional workers for successfully learning
specific curricula. This program awards employees for the range, depth, and types of skills or
knowledge they are capable of applying productively to their jobs. (Martocchio, pg. 104, 2011)
Based on the pay for knowledge pay concepts, the three jobs for which this basis for pay is
inappropriate are: bus drivers, cashiers, and janitorial services. Bus drivers are all paid around the
same pay scale and the compensation may

  • 3. Standing In Ignorance-Kneeling In Disrespect Standing in Ignorance Kneeling in Disrespect Why is that humans, armed with a brain capable of speaking multiple languages, seem to fail at communication at a fundamental level? Recently, some people have criticised NFL players for kneeling during the playing of the national anthem. Others claim that those accusing NFL players of disrespecting a nation symbol are themselves disrespecting those players right to free speech. While both sides seem passionate about their respective argument, it appears as though both sides are failing at making the situation better for anyone. Rather than making the situation better for everyone, both sides are increasing the divide that separates them. Even children understand that if you want to have lots of friends you need to play nice. Clearly NFL player s are protected by the constitution, but are they really getting their point across by angering those whom they wish to deliver their message to? Anyone has the right to be upset or offended by the acts of NFL players, but are these critics going to change anyone s mind by lashing out and getting angry? It is clear that if either side wants to gain any ground in their respective argument, both sides must work together to achieve their goals. NFL players have made clear that kneeling for the Star Spangled Banner is a way to create awareness for the various issues they see throughout the country, but is this the best approach to voicing their opinions. Certainly NFL players have a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Japan And China Relations During The End Of World War II Japan and China have been in cold relations ever since the end of World War II. After the war, there was barely any diplomacy to bring together their relation. Not until 1972 Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka of Japan visited China with an official invitation. At the scene, both sides were willing for reconciliation and normalization, result with the Joint Communique between two governments. From that moment on, the (economic) relations of the two nations has been reestablished, encouraged and developed rapidly (China, Japan Joint Communique, 1972). There is an opinion that China s incredible (economic) developing rate has greatly influenced Japan diplomatic with Beijing since that time. And this essay is going to support this argument with data as well as historical and contemporary context. First, energy requirement is usually critical to the development and modernization of China and the stabilization of Japan. Therefore, variables that related to it can influence both countries economic interest, lead to the consideration of policy makers. It is clear that both countries were in need of developing their gas and oil fields. Second, Japanese engagement into China market have changed a lot Japanese companies and corporations were having decreasing influence on the economy of the client country led to the need of adjusting investment policies within the government body. Third, China is modernizing and in many ways will be able to surpass Japan in near future. Therefore ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The Transition Of Internet Through Ipv4 Ipv6 Abstract The transition of Internet from Ipv4 to Ipv6 is insistent and ineluctable. We can see a couple of solutions for this proposed by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). Even though have not proved to be a success when it comes to the virtual world. And still we can see that researches are going on for the solution nowadays. The solution includes direct influence on many aspects of networking such as provisioning, network performance and training. In this article we mainly discuss on the IPv6 transition solutions. We first briefly discusses IPv6 transition solutions, which will highlight the demands and then the security flaws faced by them. Introduction IPV4 vs IPV6 Ipv4 remains for Internet Protocol form 4. It is the underlying engineering that makes it workable for us to interface our gadgets to the web. Ipv4 utilizes a 32 bit location space, in which can suit around 4 billion remarkable locations. While that sounds generous, the functional number of usable locations is really much lower. The current Internet has become much bigger than was anticipated. There are a few issues, for example, approaching depletion of the Ipv4 location space, arrangement and complexities and poor security at the IP level. (PARR, 2011) In the early 90 s, to overcome these issues IETF (Web Building Team (IETF), started making an exchange IP Convention named specific Ipv6. Ipv6 is the sixth update to the Web Convention and the successor to Ipv4. It works also to Ipv4 in that it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Oath Of Blood And Macbeth Comparison Marissa Rodriguez Mr. Ortiz English 12 2.27.17 Unit 3: Comparison Essay Throne of Blood is a film directed by Akira Kurosawa which is based on William Shakespeare s play The Tragedy of Macbeth Macbeth. While Macbeth takes place in Scotland, Throne of Blood is set in Japan. Macbeth is a tragic play that is mainly revolving around Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. The play and film are two productions that are very similar but differ in the aspects of the plot events. Macbeth and his friend Banquo wandered into talking to three witches. The three witches tell Macbeth he s going to be king, but they also tell Banquo that his children will be in the royalty line. Macbeth takes interest in the possibility of being a king, but he doesn t pursue with any actions until his wife finds out about the prophecies. Eventually, it got to the point that murdering seemed normal to Macbeth considering the fact that he just sent murderers to the Macduff house. There was even a point in the play where Banquo, who was Macbeth s friend, questioned how far macbeth would pursue things and if he d be a loyal friend or let ambition take over him. • 9. Persuasive Speech About Adoption For those of you who don t know I am adopted. My adoption story may be a little different than other adoption stories. Things had happened at that point or were going to happen in the future that would change me. I was adopted at age 4 and my sister was about 1 at the time. My adoption stayed open which means if I wanted I could still have contact with my birth family. Adoptionin itself teaches you a lot, but sometimes the different things that happen can teach you more. One day my mom came and found me and my sister and told us we had to go somewhere. We went and found our shoes and started heading out the door. My sister and I started hoping down the front steps just about running into a vehicle parked out front. My mom told me and my sister to get in, both of us were kind of scared but we did it anyways. So me and my sister attempted getting into the big vehicle, well it may not have been that big, but to us it seemed like it was. We drove for what seemed like hours till all of a sudden the car stopped. I opened the door and hoped out onto the cold hard cement. I didn t know where we were at, I had never seen this place before. The people in the car and my mom told us to go up to the front steps and they will be right behind us. So me and my sister made our way up the steps and to a big front door. We looked and found a doorbell and chose to push it. After just a little while the door opened and this younger couple looked down at us with huge smiles on their faces. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The proposed sites of Avaris and Pi Ramesses were thought to be the location of Tanis. Due to heavy recycling of furniture, dГ©cor and construction materials from other sites, many historians and archeologists dismissed the site as the legitimate Tanis, known to be the capital of the Egyptian XXIst XXIInd dynasties, as many findings suggested otherwise. Providing evidence supporting the points proposed by Yoyette, M. Bietak s article Avaris the Capital of the Hyksos explores the most recent excavation at Tell el Dab`a, which is the modern site at the location of Avaris. Following on from the information Yoyette addressed, Bietak indicates that there was a struggle with determining the location of the site Tanis, as compounded information suggested it was the either the site Avaris or Pi Ramesses. The article goes on to analyse the excavations in the late 20th century by the Austrian Archeological Institute in Cairo and the Institute of Egyptology of the University of Vienna (Bietak 1996 40). Again a problem surfaced when multiple artifacts confused the two sites of Pi Ramesses and Avaris, such as retrieved portals belonging to houses of high officials from the Ramesside period. Findings such as these only reinforced the view that the site of Tell el Dab`a was Piramesses. Egyptologist Labib Habachi confirmed through his research and findings that the site was infact Avaris, capital of the Hyksos (Bietak 1996, 40). Bietak s document then looks into the architecture of the site, as well as surrounding agriculture, geographical location in regard to water sources and viable materials and the distance between Qantir and Tell el Dab`a. Both Yoyette s and Bietak s articles discuss the close proximities of Avaris and Pi Ramesses. Sharing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In fact, we have better maps of Mars. Every time we go, we always find something new (Bathke). Exploring the deep sea has captured the imagination of humankind ever since Leonardo da Vinci made drawings of a submarine more than 500 years ago in 1515. Since the early 20th century, people have been venturing into the ocean in submersible vehicles. However, it was not until 1960 when Swiss oceanographer and engineer Jacques Piccard and United States Navy lieutenant Don Walsh descended to the bottom of the Mariana Trench(10,915 meters) in the submersible Trieste that deep sea exploration... These battery operated vehicles allow two to four individuals generally pilots and scientists, occasionally James Cameron to descend into the depths to make observations and gather data and samples. The duration of these dives is limited by battery life, human endurance, and safety protocols, but they typically do not last more than eight to ten hours, including descent time which is approximately 4 hours for a seafloor depth of 4000 meters (Thorpe, Steele, Turekian). Traditionally, humans have investigated the ocean from ships on its surface. But to really understand what it s like on the seafloor, humans need to be on it. Even so, many aspects of ocean exploration are best left to robots. Remotely operated vehicles, or ROVs, are another popular type of submersibles. They are unmanned vessels controlled by scientists onboard a ship via a tethering cable. On the ship, pilots send commands and power to the ROV. The ROV then sends back data and live video to those on the ship. ROVs typically contain sonar equipment, video cameras, and still cameras. Depending on the research objective, the ROV may also have manipulator arms for collecting samples of rock, sediment, or ocean life to return to scientists (Lewis). The last form of popular submersible, autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), are vehicles that can navigate vast distances and collect scientific data without any human control. ... The ozone layer is suffering severe damage from the gasses that are emitted from cars, factories, aerosol sprays and much more. Fossil fuels are the single largest of atmospheric pollution; when burnt, they release in the air particle matter, carbon monoxide and dioxide, oxides of nitrogen and sulfur, and metal compounds (Our Planet). According to the U.S. Department of Energy , In 1990, California s wind power plants offset the emission of more than 2.5 billion pounds of carbon dioxide, and 15 million pounds of other pollutants that would have otherwise been produced (Wind). However, there are concerns about the noise that is produced from the blades, and the fact that birds, or other small flying animals can fly into the blades and die. Another small issue with wind power is that it is often available only in remote or offshore locations. As a whole, these concerns are minimal compared to the benefits that can be reaped. Biomass is another great resource for producing electricity. Biomass is a matter usually thought of as garbage (Energy). It includes wood chips, crops, tires, dead trees, manure and much more. When garbage decomposes, it gives off methane gas (Energy). Pipelines are put into the landfills and the methane gas can be collected. It is then used in power plants to make electricity (Energy). An additional use of biomass is to produce ethanol. Ethanol can be used in special types of cars that are made for using alcohol fuel instead of gasoline. The alcohol can also be combined with gasoline. This reduces our dependence on oil a non renewable fossil fuel (Energy). Biomass is a renewable resource, because trees and plants can be replanted over and over, and used to produce fuel. Biomass fuels are used to meet the energy needs of nearly half the ... • 13. Building A Small Town With Its Own Life Wangshu said: I want to build a small town with its own life, which could once again, wake up the latent memory of the city. Under the trend of globalization Chinese architects are always struggling in how to engage in the trend of globalization and keep its unique culture and tradition. There are a large of numbers of cities in China undergoing a delirious wave of development. Traditional dwellings are demolished everyday replaced by high rise commercial high rise buildings which has no characteristic. The image of cities became similar and lost their identity. There are normally two ways to deal with this identity crisis. One way is to build landmark to display it character which always ignore the tradition of the city. An example is the Galaxy Soho designed Zaha Hadid, which as a giant out space invader intrude in a historical area of Beijing Hutong area without any considering the surrounding texture and culture. The other way is considering the tradition but in fact it just superficially make a direct reference to tradition forms. For example, on the street of Xi an the first capital city in China, there are a lots of buildings topped with a pitched roof on high rise to structure or Shanghai Museum which directly mimic a form of traditional cooking vessel. Those buildings always as kitsch for their superficial mimic. When the Fraser Institute called me last year, they rang up and said they were having a conference and we would like to invite you, and I thought I think you have the wrong person. Basically, everybody else there, except myself and one person from Nova Scotia, were in favour of privatization and very strongly in favour of it, especially with respect to prisons. It was actually very educational and interesting to engage in that debate. First of all I would like to thank you very much for the invitation and to wish you all the best with your new programme. So on the one hand we are surrounded by the phenomenon and on the other hand we don t know as much about it as we should. Even my own work, I might add, privatization is more or less a tangent for me as I do other areas of research. I think it is indication that very few people in Canada, criminologists, are systematically focussing on this but I keep getting roped back into this. I just wish I had three lives at once so that I could pursue it the way I really want to. Privatization is an area that really needs attention, and lets hope that students here at St. Thomas are going to take this up. Let me just mention one or two topics that need attention. Many people talk about privatization in criminal justice, including myself, mention that it is likely that private companies will try and influence criminal justice policy in various places. Yet when you look for the empirical support for this there is very little factual information there. Or we talk a bit about the decline of the military in industrial conflicts, the end of the Cold War, and new markets opening up for these companies internationally and we see some of the companies moving from the United States into Britain, Australia and now also Canada, and we hear things about them moving into Latin American countries and East European countries, but again this international dimension is one that there has been very little systematic research on. So the whole area is just begging for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Plant Sets And Its Effect On Our Lives Part A The results were conclusive and differed slightly from previously expectations with the plants germinated with an absence of light growing on average 17.975 mm per day compared to the plants with exposure to light growing 6.965 mm less at an average of 11.01 mm per day. This trend was evident throughout the duration of the experiment however as the investigation continued it was clear the growth of both plant sets was beginning to decrease and slow. As shown in graph 2.0 and table 1.0 on day 15 the plants grown in the dark had reached a height of 175.9 mm and by day 17 they had only grown 1.475 mm and reached a height of 177.375 mm, compared to the growth between day 8 and 9 when the plants grew by 44.375 mm, a 48% increase, nearly doubling its height of 47.85 mm on day 8. The heights of both sets altered from each other for most of the experiment expect for day 10 when the heights only altered by 0.891 mm with the plants in the dark having a average height of 108.125 mm while the plants with light had reached a height of 108.944 mm. Part B The results of part B were also conclusive but were as to be expected with both plant sets increasing in mass. It makes me wonder what the protagonist has as an occupation. In the beginning, Rick Deckard is introduced as a young man who hunts androids that are on the loose. One machine quality that humans have is the desire to survive. Robots are programmed to do their job in the best way possible, and this applies to Rick Deckard because he will do whatever it takes to accomplish his goal. Rick Deckard fails to express his concern for androids because he believes that they are not people with feelings. Because of his actions, Rick Deckard questioned his ethics when he wondered if he would be able to recoup enough for the job ahead (33). In your response compare and contrast Jewish and Islamic perspectives. To a certain extent, the current conflict in Israel can be defined as religious; this is predominantly due to the beliefs and attachments Abrahamic religions hold to the land. Bactericidal antibiotics directly kill the micro organisms, and depending on the amount given, the bacteria will not recover after administration of the antibiotic is ceased. Bacteriostatic antibiotics prevent growth of the bacteria, by targeting proteins that are involved in reproduction. Once the bacteriostatic antibiotic is removed, population numbers usually increase again. One of the drugs we will be investigating is Chloramphenicol. • 28. Who Is Tom Brady A Hero Tom Brady can be defined as a hero in many ways. Tom Brady has been an underdog throughout his life. Whether one is talking about his high school, college, or NFL career, he has been considered a long shot, and many people doubted his capabilities. Tom Brady was born on August 3rd, 1977. Since he was very young he attended San Francisco 49ers games, and after watching Joe Montana, he fell in love with the sport and the quarterback position. Since that day, his football career took off, and the rest is history ( Tom Brady2017). Tom Brady is related to the Greek Heroes, Theseus and Achilles because he was not fearful and he showed his abilities when starting his first season as quarterback because he won the super bowl, which relates to Theseus and the Minotaur, and he got caught with deflate gate and got dragged around and got taken advantage of, like what Achilles did to Hector after he beat him. Tom Brady was picked in the sixth round of the 2000 draft by the New England Patriots. He did not start at Michigan until his junior year, and he did not have the physical build of a starting quarterback ( Tom Brady 2017). He was tall and lengthy, and lacked a strong arm, which made it difficult for him to compare to others coming out of the draft that year. Because of his average abilities, he did not start his first year. He backed up Drew Bledsoe. However, his chance finally came in his second year in the NFL. In 2001 Drew Bledsoe got hurt, and Tom stepped in to fill his position ( Bledsoe Replaced by Brady 2011). This is when Tom could really show himself off, and express what he could do. He led the patriots to an 11 3 record in the regular season, and won the rest of the games in the playoffs, including a super bowl upset against the Rams. Even if that is not remarkable enough, he went on and had a 40 12 record through his next 3 seasons ( Tom Brady 2017). This shows his abilities and many attributes, such as his leadership, his ability to not be afraid, and his mindset to strive for greatness. This point is highly relatable to the Greek Mythologybook, Theseus. They are relatable because the same attributes were expressed for Theseus as well as well as Tom Brady throughout their life s. Analysis Of The Article A Modest Proposal The article A Modest Proposal is a proposal made by a man named Jonathan Swift who is also known for Gulliver s Travels which is another well spoken essay of satire. When the people of Dublin are suffering from poverty and overpopulation, Swift writes up a satirical hyperbole that mocks the heartless Irish attitudes towards the poor. The bottleneck effect of people was so dreadful that all the Catholic families of Dublinwere not able to support their own children. Due to these conditions Swift writes this proposal to end the kingdom s issues in a serious but derisive way. All of his solutions tend to be ethically wrong, but he backs up his solutions with statistical facts. Swift s proposal is a satiremade to jolt the people of Dublin, Irelandinto understanding the growing issues the kingdom faces with poverty and overpopulation. Swift s method of choice for a long term elucidation is to turn the Dubliner s problems into their own solution. The proposal consists of feeding the fattened up children of the poor and selling them to the rich citizens of the kingdom as food. Swift states that doing this will help relieve families from paying for expensive children, decrease overpopulation, add culinary values, increase employment, and will overall add to the economic status of the kingdom. Swift concludes his proposal saying that it is in his greatest interest that his proposal does not take effect, and that his only motives are improving the public good of his country, ... • 36. Assignment Questions On Teaching And New Perspective I chose to revise assignments number two and three because they were my two favorite assignments out of the three we did during the semester. I felt that they were unique in the sense that I had never been asked to do something like this in an English class before. It is important to enjoy the assignments that you revisebecause the process takes a lot of time and effort. A writer must be fully engaged with his pieces to be able to revise effectively. I also think that they will allow me to work on two completely different aspects of my writing. In project two, my revisions are focused around incorporating sources and supporting evidence. I also look to improve development and new perspective in this piece as well. I plan on addressing these areas in a variety of ways through out my revisions. I will look at the way I incorporate sources to make sure that they flow smoothly and are needed and effective where they are currently placed. I will also look at the frequency at which I incorporate sources to see if there is opportunity to incorporate more. As far as the areas of development and new perspective go, I will look into my analysis and see if that can be strengthened in any shape or form. For project three, my focus is on the section of the rubric that deals with So what/who cares as well as global organization. I also am looking into improving focus and interpretation. For so what/who cares as well as focus and interpretation this is another area where I can look into ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. The Ethics Of Interplanetory Space Travel I am writing this letter to you to assess the pros and cons of interplanetory space travel. Should we send humans to Mars? Is it right? Is it really ethical to put fourth human missions to this inhospital planet? YES! In this letter I will be arguing the pros of why we should say YES to the next step forward in humanity. I hope that after reading this it will assist your thoughts and consideration of human interplanetory space travel. Mars may remain inhospital much like the interior of the Antartic, as it stands, however we can transform our neighbouring red planet into a hospitable checkpoint for further space travel. At this moment in time Mars is currently uninhabited, and so, as quoted in a BBC article: this can give us the freedom and oppotunity to artifically transform the climate, surface and atmosphere to enable humans to live on the red planet without life support systems. Not only will this be the next step in humanly evolution, this is also potentially the next step to saving human kind, our own species, you want that right? ... However for us as a species on this planet survival is not only tough but is also not even assured as proven by history. A representative example of this is the dinosaur age; they were wiped out millions of years ago by a colossal asteroid, after living on Earth for over 160 million years and now the only thing we have left of them are their fossilized remnants. No one wants to see this happen to our species now, do they? • 38. Bottled Water On The Environment Many people across the world choose to buy bottled water, not so many realise the adverse effects this practice has on the environment. Anthropocentric thinking as a result of modernity has led humans to see themselves as superior to the natural world (Jones, 2010). From 2014 to 2015 the number of Australians consuming bottled waterrose from 4.9 million per week to 5.3 million per week (Australian Food News, 2016). The effects of bottled water consumption have severe impacts on natural water consumption, leads to excess product consumption and waste management issues. Robertson (2014) describes the amount of water needed to produce a product as virtual water, or a water footprint. Bottled water has a water foot print of three to one. The ... Ban The Bottle , a campaign advocating bans on one time use plastic water bottles (Ban the Bottle, 2012), shows a list of colleges, universities and organisations around the world that have joined their cause. While the page has not been updated recently, the last count was around 81. While it may seem like a big achievement getting an entire campus or organisation to ban bottled water, highest commendation has to go to the town of Bundanoon in New South Wales, which was apparently the first town in the world to enforce a ban on bottled water (Australian town bans bottled water, 2009; McLeod, 2009). The banning of bottled water is not however always successful in eliminating plastic bottle use. The University of Vermont banned bottled water in 2013 but found it led students to drink more unhealthy alternatives which were also served in single use plastic bottles (Kingkade, 2015). Kingkade s (2015) article goes on to suggest convenience as a big factor in this shift and notes that the university aimed to provide free cups in the future. While cups may suffice for a quick drink, the convenience of a bottle which can be carried around in a bag and to class is a better option for most students. Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Considering the Legal Requirements The Exxon Valdez oil spill that took place on March 24, 1989, was responsible for an enormous amount of damage to the natural environment of Alaska. Animal life and plant life alike, were severely harmed from this disastrous spill. Being such a high risk company, one would assume that the legal requirements surrounding the company policy were prioritized. Due to the scope of the disaster though, one may wonder just how strict the requirements were that governed the operations of Exxon. Even if there were rules in place, how well were they being followed by Exxon employees? What were the legal requirements that governed the operations of Exxon? Did the people responsible for this disaster consider these? In the following discussion, these are examined from a moral analysis point of view. After a broad investigation that lead to many lawsuits and fines, it was clear that multiple factors contributed to the Exxon disaster. The Coast Guard and the National Transportation Society were two of several agencies that provided rules and regulations for Exxon. These agencies found violations that Exxon committed that lead to the disaster. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 40. The Violence Of The Watts Riot The 1960s was a time for change. It promoted on going expectations of equality for all races. This proved to be difficult for minorities. In August of 1965, civil unrest broke out, which lead to six day revolt called the Watts Riot. Nearly thirty years later another riot broke out which caused even greater damage and left an even greater impact in our history, the Rodney KingRiots. Both of these events share similar qualities and devastating damages, however, their meanings are much harder to decipher from one another. These impactful events in our society demonstrate how much there needs to change in our society, especially when dealing with minorities. The Watts riots began in the summer of 1965, in a city in Los Angeles called Watts. It all began with the arrest of a young African American by a white California Highway Patrol officer. Now, it was not because he was arrested for already doing something illegal, it was for the way the policeofficer treated the individual. According to Lacine Holland, an eyewitness to the arrest, the officer took him and threw him in the car like a bag of laundry and kicked his feet in and slammed the door. (Flournoy) This caused lots of unrest among the fellow residents of Watts. This was just the beginning of years of pent up oppression for the minorities, which participated in the event. Similarly, in 1992, the Rodney King riots also arose due to the acquittal of four Los Angeles Police Departmentofficers for their brutal beating ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He talks about the ice age and the history explaining the change of our generations. He expresses how beautiful nature is, and the need to preserve it, for example, there are no words to describe the beauty of nature. Due to a glacier, one fell and crushed a valley that had soon slowly started filling with water; this is explaining the change that had occurred from long ago to how it is now. In Land Ethic it talks about evolution and how it was studied. He talks the relations between people and their society but also the specific role people had, due to the Golden Rule. There are two Kinds of Ethics Leopold talks about, which are ecological and philosophical. Ethic is carried in a way to be a connection with people and the land, for example they think the people will start to feel more of an authority to care and respect for natural resources. • 44. The Bloody Past The Wandering Future Analysis The material significance of water is clear. Water is an essential part of human life. Whether it s the water we ingest in order to maintain the strength and integrity of our bodily structure and functions, or the water in our oceans that preserve the fragile ecosystem of our planet and cover a majority of the Earth s surface. We have learned to exploit water for our survival and our leisure, sometimes at great risk. However, water also has a psychological significance to humans. There is something about water that has always attracted humanity. It is evident from our literature that humanity has often felt drawn to the water. I ll go over what both graphs above mean, and what I can tell by the composition of of my voice signal. Likewise, we ll discuss the voice signals amplitude and bandwidth. As we analyze the graphs we will see how this information could be used to plan a transmission facility, and why we must be careful to avoid clipping. Furthermore we will dig deeper and ask the question if, 300 4,000 Hz bandwidth, would sufficient enough for a telephone system, and then finally end this paper with an explanation why do we want 20 to 20,000 Hz bandwidth in music systems today. At the end of the paper I am hopeful that the information I provide will give you a clearer picture on signal transmissions as a whole.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The simplest way to put is Frequency means how fast is the signal is changing. In this graph what we have used is a small sample of an audio recording of my voice. Sound waves can be examined in relationships of their amplitude and frequency. In the frequency analysis graph the recoding is then plotting a graph of frequency (x axis, in Hz) versus intensity (y axis, in dB). Thus allowing us to be able to analyze the recording signals with respect to frequency. As in which the other graph allows us to measure the voice recording in respect with time. So in the frequency analysis graph we can see the the higher the dB s are the higher the pitch is within that portion of the audio compared to another fragment of the recording where the dBs are lower. The frequency of a audio wave affects the pitch of the sound we hear. In the first graph we are able to see the length and how much time/space the sinusoidal signals recoding takes by the amplitude and the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A great deal of the criticisms focused on racial tension and imperialism, which were very important topics that stuck out in reading the Heart of Darkness . Many literary criticisms praise the novel and the entertainment it brings to the audience . Although the Heart of Darkness receives a lot of praise, many critics negatively criticize the novel for various reasons . Joseph Conradwas huge on attacking the topic of racism, which was a problem associated with this novel during this time period . Shockingly, racism was mostly looked over by other critics. This was due to how racism was interpreted and defined as in 1902 . The meaning of racism has changed over time . During this time period, racism, the word itself, wasn t in existence . However, that does not mean that racism didn t occur during that time . In fact , racial tensions were so common that the actual word racism wasn t used because it wasn t necessary. Chinua Achebewrites a strong critique explaining his opposing thoughts against the Heart of Darkness and proving that point. Achebe believes that Joseph Conrad was in fact a racist, and he also believes that a novel that depersonalizes the human race shouldn t even be in the running to be called a great novel .
