For my agency visit, I chose write about a program that I have heard about in my
community but did not know much about. I interviewed Mr. Eddie Jones, a contact
person for the CHEW program at Gardners Elementary School. CHEW stands for the

believe navigation on the St James Campus at George Brown College should be
addressed. It is particularly difficult to navigate around the campus when not familiar
with its accommodations. It is an essential service at the campus which will help
reach the college s main objectives of: attaining a better reputation, increasing
enrolment, increasing graduation rate and increasing student satisfaction. Therefore,
to enhance the quality of student experience and accessibility to resources, we will

The word culture impacts each and every individual differently. For me, my culture
is associated with pride and joy; for others, cultural heritage can remind a person of
pain and suffering. All cultural experiences vary depending on where people grew up

Most people can easily describe their culture; many simply state, I m Italian and Irish.

grandfather on my mom s side is one hundred percent Italian, while my grandmother

and was generally used in a manner that softened a blunt statement. Apparently was

I really wanted to rate more than 3.5 to this book, but I have to be honest, there were
too many WHAT THE HECK moments for me, in the end I felt really conflicted...

perspective of morals. Rand identifies selfishness as a concept of the survival
which directly relates to moral issues and whether they are related to good and
evil. A new word altruism is introduced by Rand to pose two moral questions, (1)
What are values? (2) Who should be the beneficiary of values? (Rand 169). The
selfishness in relation to morals to benefit themselves and not others is the

This experiment was started with a clear solution of sodium benzoate and HCl was
added to it, ultimately producing benzoic acid. First, .3395 g of sodium benzoate was
weighed, then it was dissolved in water, causing it to disassociate into ions. Next,
3M of HCl were added drop wise to the solution until it reached a pH of 2, thus
introducing the hydronium ion. This addition caused a white, solid benzoic acid to
precipitate out of the solution. A vacuum filtration system was used to separate the

For one of the two concerts that I attended this semester, I went to the Women s
Chorus spring concert, which took place in the Rudder theatre. Although there weren
t as many people attending the event as I had originally thought, there were still
quite a few people at the event. This concert was mainly for the presentation of
alumni, parents, and to help raise money for the chorus planned trip to Italy where
they would do casual performances in some chapels.
One thing that really surprised me about this concert was how informal the event
really was. In the audience there was a wide range of attire, from gyms shorts and a

One thing that was interesting to me about this concert was the order which the songs
were performed. Typically when I attend concerts the fun and lighthearted songs are
toward the end as a sort of reliever from the seriousness. In contrast, this concert had
the lightheartedness mixed in with the more serious or slower songs to keep the
audience s attention. For example, to start the concert there were two traditional
songs that were performed, Jubilate Deo and Alleluia. These songs have many
different arrangements using essentially the same word but with a different notes and

Throughout time, many recognize that the Catholic Church frowns upon
homosexuals, however, they frown upon transsexuals to an even greater extent, as
they see it as an even larger perversion to the already sinful homosexual lifestyle. In
my essay, I will argue that many transsexuals feel as though they do not receive the
respect they would like to have in society, and search for the individuals that will
not judge them for who they are. By this, it is seen that the La Santa Muerte helps
fill the void left by society in many transsexuals living across North America. With
a lot of people in society discriminating what they do not understand or cannot
explain, this makes transsexuals the perfect target for society, with the addition of
the Church. Since people cannot explain why there are transsexuals and they do not
know about the troubles of how hard it is to be part of this minority, they do not
feel that transsexuals fit into the social norm , as transsexuality seems to involve the
most profound error within the order of sexual dichotomy (Castro, 1993). It can be
seen that even in today s North American society, transsexuals are still not
completely understood and accepted as a valid member of society. This is most
likely because many people have different variations of what genderidentity means to
