This document proposes using sewage sludge as fertilizer to cultivate desert areas of Pakistan. Sewage sludge is a byproduct of sewage treatment that contains nutrients like nitrogen and phosphorus. While it can be used as fertilizer, it also contains toxic metals that require treatment. The document suggests transporting treated sewage sludge to Pakistan's main deserts of Thar, Cholistan and Kharan to grow plants and trees like palm trees. This could provide environmental benefits like reducing urban pollution, beautifying the deserts, and creating jobs and research opportunities in those areas.
