- Introduction to natural and human-induced hazards like earthquakes, floods, droughts and their social and economic impacts. It also covers hazard and disaster investigation.
- Disaster management phases including pre-disaster (prevention, mitigation and preparedness), disaster response and relief, and post-disaster recovery and rehabilitation.
- Infrastructure monitoring, maintenance and strategies for protection against damages from natural disasters. Emergency management, awareness programs, risk analysis, mitigation and recovery plans are also discussed.
