• Changing stimulus is more-getting attention than a steady one.
• (ex. Flickering light)

• Repeated stimulus are likely to be notice than not repeated stimulus
(calling someone’s name several times in a crowd)
• Contrasting stimulus is more likely to attract attention than one that
is not contrasting.

8. Absolute threshold
- The smallest or minimum amount of stimulus which can be detected
by the senses.
