Market Structures And Pricing Strategies
Market Structures and Pricing Strategies
There are different types of market structures all over the world since business is not done the same
way everywhere. Even within the USA different companies use different pricing strategies based on
the market structures. As a business and as a consumer it is vital to identify and understand these
different types of market structures and their pricing strategies. The ideal type of market is the one
where price and demand are not affected by anything, in other words it is always consistent. Of course
the reality is that markets are affected by different factors, which can hike up the price for an item or
lower it, hence increase demand or decrease it. There are 4 different types of market structures ...

Due to the fact that all products are priced at market value, the consumer is more willing to purchase
the item knowing that no one will offer a better price. In a perfect competition market the goal of the
company is to maximize profits by ensuring production cost does not exceed revenues (calculating
how much they can produce without losing money due to cost of production; MR=MC) and that
consumer demands are met. Perfect competition markets are ideal because they tend to balance
themselves out even though they have no barriers of entry (Hillman, 2014). Even if a company has a
short run profit loss due to a period of high entry to market, at a certain point the revenues will equal
market prices. Some companies will see it as a loss and will exit the market; hence allowing the prices
to go back up and profits to be regained. The exiting of the market stops when every one of the firms
remaining breaking even. If the businesses within the market are enjoying short term profits this will
increase entry to market; hence will decrease output from each company and decrease profits. This
activity will end when the price of products equals total average cost and the economic profits are
zero. The perfect competition s long term outcomes are two: allocative and productive efficiency
(Hillman, 2014). Allocative efficiency is when a company s output equals consumer demand, which
eliminates the possibility of deadweight

Absurdity In Eugene Ionesco
Eugene Ionesco is also a very famous writer of absurd theater. He focused on isolation and exhaustion
of man s life and also gave his ironical views on spiritless situation of man in his life. His work
expressed alienation of modern man and failure of communication and also loss of meaning. His plays
like bold Soprano, The lesson, Rhinoceros they also depict man s lack of communication with himself
and with others in the society. Bold Soprano, the chairs are fully in non sequiturs, dialogues and the
language of characters are without thinking. His plays also show the tragedy of modern man in this
world and his loss of meaningful words is very much there and all his plays are lack of rational
language and the language of his plays is always ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For Samuel Beckett absurdity is abstract dilemma it deals with unreal ad philosophical ideas. To
Eugene Ionesco absurdity is related with concrete things but both of these writes are adhered to the
same idea and this is reflected in their plays, that absurdity is always the result of linguistic deficiency
in modern man life, failures in communication, impossibility of expressing the ideas through
language. They unveil the tragic situation of human being and elaborate personal disruption of modern
man from his self, his disgruntlement plight, insufficiency and meagerness of language.
There is not enough work and that s why linguistic deficiency becomes a unique topic for research.
Language is researched in some ways, like long sentences, speeches yet but the way linguistic
deficiency leads to torments and fragmentation of individuals and further leads to modern man tragedy
is a very unique topic for research. Beckett s Eng Game is also explored by many researchers in
different ways, in terms of characterization, in terms of thematic concerns, time, absurdity, there is
also work on absurd language but that is not enough especially when it comes to linguistic deficiency
and its dire consequence in a absurd drama and in modern man s life is unique one and its need to be

Clinical Definition Of Clinical Context
Clinical Context
Patient, JD, is a 50 year old Caucasian male with a past medical history of polysubstance abuse who
presented to outside hospital with shortness of breath and chest pain who developed cardiogenic shock
complicated by shock liver and renal failure and was transferred to Henry Ford Hospital for elevation
of care. The patient was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) upon arrival. While in the ICU,
patient developed a fever with leukocytosis and patchy infiltrate on CXR and was treated for HCAP.
Blood cultures were drawn at that time that grew yeast, possibly related to a line infection. Lines were
removed and patient was started on fluconazole. Fungal cultures drawn grew Candida krusei and
Fluconazole was switched to anidulafungin. Infectious Disease was consulted suggesting total
duration of anti fungals of 2 weeks for candidemia. Repeat blood cultures drawn after treatment were
negative and patient s clinical status improved on anidulafungin treatment. This patient had spent a
total of 21 days in the ICU. C. krusei is known to have intrinsic resistance to fluconazole5, which is
why treatment was switched to anidulafungin, a semisynthetic echinocandin. However, invasive
candidiasis and candidemia with other strains of Candida species are prevalent in severely ill patients
and the proper treatment of such infections should be investigated.
Clinical Question
Is anidulafungin superior to fluconazole for treatment of candidemia and invasive candidiasis in

Plato s Symposium, By Plato
In the book, Plato s Symposium, by Plato, who was a philosopher in Greece, he illustrates the dialectic
discussion at a party at Agathon s to celebrate his triumph of his first tragedy. In the Symposium; the
guests Phaedrus, an Athenian aristocrat; Pausanias, the legal expert; Eryximachus, a physician;
Aristophanes, eminent comic playwright; Agathon ,a tragic poet and host of the banquet; Socrates,
eminent philosopher and Plato s teacher; and Alcibiades, a prominent Athenian statesman, orator and
general; discuss their own versions and viewpoints to praise the god of love. First, we have Phaedrus,
who starts to say that love is the most ancient of the gods and should be praiseworthy, next we have
Eryximachus who states that love affects everything in the universe and that it should be protected,
next we have Aristophanes, who states that the reason why love is on earth is because god has split
humanity in half and that man should fear the gods and should embrace love to feel whole again, and
last we have Socrates who suggests what Diotima explains that love is in the middle of two things or
objects and has both characteristics. Phaedrus starts off the conversation of love stating how the god
Love doesn t get much attention in songs and that he should be praiseworthy because he has helped
men to gain honor and blessedness. This begins the symposium and functions as a way to tell the
reader what the topic would be about and why the guests in the party should discuss it.

The Controversy Of Polygraph Analysis
Jacob, this is a very interesting topic. American Polygraph Association says the accuracy of a
polygraph can be over 90 percent. However, polygraph is not fool proof and there are as many as 10%
people can fool the polygraph and pass the exam. There are several reasons that 10% of people did not
pass the polygraph test. Warner argues some of the challenges with polygraph examinations are:
Prior to the test, a tense or strained interaction between the examiner and the subject can affect the
outcome
Innocent people that react poorly to questioning have been labeled deceptive.
Some guilty individuals have successfully deceived the examiner by controlling their emotions with
countermeasures such as biting the cheek or stepping on a tack

The Poetry Of Harlem And Women Have Loved Before As I Love...
What happens to a dream deferred? is the opening statement of Harlem that grabs the attention of
everyone who is reading this phenomenal poem. Of the two poems listed in this essay, this opening
statement is more attention grabbing and is a fantastic hook to being with. Harlem and Women Have
Loved Before As I Love Now, are ideally comparable and contrastable. The meanings of the poems
and the authors of the poems are some topics that are different in these poems. The style of the poems
and length of the poems are the other topics that are the same and are comparable to this subject.
Altogether, these two pieces of literature are actually intriguing and somewhat interesting. Looking for
the meanings of the poems is the greatest challenge when reading a poem written a long time ago.
Misinterpreting the meaning can cause some bigger issues in the dialect or if you someone wanted to
write an analysis on the poem. In Harlem, only eleven lines are written with such greater meaning to
the sentences. For example, like a raisin in the sun? could mean that the raisin is already supposed to
be dry, like our dreams are supposed to be settle. As for Women Have Loved Before As I Love Now,
has fourteen lines that have a higher intellectual and deeper meaning to the sentences. Such as, Do
suffer love; in me alone survive could mean that love makes people crazy and some people suffer
when they are in love. The author was suffering and the author felt alone in the depression they

What Is The Impact Of Public Spending
In economic theory, Keynes proposed that an increase in public spending could keep economic
activity at an acceptable level. The resultant increase in Equilibrium GDP of government expenditure
has a resultant stimulus in economy and aggregate expenditure. (Jackson McIver, 2001)
A standard approach to evaluating the magnitude of construction of major infrastructure is to identify
direct spending by contractors; indirect spending to suppliers e.g. accommodation and food; and then
induced spending.
Blanquart Koning (2017, p12) explain this multiplier thus:
The impact of these various expenditures is a function of the propensity to consume wealth locally.
The effects of the initial investment can vary by local economy depending on ... Show more content

(BTE, 1996) This study indicated that similar expected economic benefits would flow to East Coast
Rail Corridor with a reduction in freight rail improving congestion in this network.
Conceptually, it is expected that spending on improved infrastructure will provide a further benefit to
an area through improved performance. However, this has been disputed by some industry groups
such as GrainCorp in relation to the Inland Rail project. (Heard, 2017) This is consistent with studies
of the High Speed Rail system in Europe which provide a more causal link with city size, industry
structures, resources and proximity to urban areas as more influential in the longer term than tourism
and business relocation. (Blanquart Koning, 2017) Analysis of Canadian utilities infrastructure found
that it was far more important for regulators to be concerned with economic efficiencies than with the
scope of consultations. Restricting a regulator s scope to seeking efficiencies improved results for the
public interest through increased productivity and enhancing the standard of living by improving real
worth of income (Church, 2017). Similarly, studies of the legislation surrounding the Californian High
Speed Rail project found that it that private investors were reluctant to participate as the limitation of
subsidies meant that private bodies were reluctant to commit without improved economic outlooks
(Henríquez Deakin, 2017). There is an intrinsic endogeneity issue in

A Streetcar Named Desire-A Tragic Hero
There are nine types of heroes in this world, each of them with their own unique stories, plots, cliches
etc. Among those is the classic tragic hero, one who is destined to fail no matter what. In a Streetcar
Named Desire, the tragic hero is Blanche Dubois, an aging Southern Belle living in a state of
perpetual panic about her fading beauty. In this essay it will be discussed what makes Blanche a tragic
hero and how she compares to a typical tragic hero.
A typical tragic hero is first and foremost, born of noble stature. This gives the hero something to fall
from, so they can fall from grace (Avril Lavigne, Nobody s Home). Blanche Dubois born in Laurel,

A typical tragic hero is first and foremost, born of noble stature. This gives the hero something to fall
from, so they can fall from grace (Avril Lavigne, Nobody s Home). Blanche Dubois born in Laurel,
Mississippi, to a wealthy family. She is a former schoolteacher who had been evicted from Belle Reve
(a family home) after being declared a woman of loose morals. This was because years earlier,
Blanche s husband committed suicide after she expressed her distaste on his sexuality. She later had
many affairs trying to numb her grief on the death of her husband.
The second condition for a tragic hero is what is called Hamartia, a tragic flaw that causes the
downfall of the hero. Blanche s tragic flaw is that she is dependant on men, so much so that she makes
choices and does things that are morally questionable. She manipulates and lies to potential suitors to
make herself seem more attractive and younger which in her mind is the only way a man will love her.
She does this with Harold Mitch Mitchell and it seems to be working until Mitch is informed of all the
lies he s been fed, at which point Mitch breaks up with Blanche and leaves her vulnerable for Stanley
to rape.
The reversal of fortune, peripeteia, is when the fortunate hero is down on his luck. In Blanche s case,
she loses Belle Reve, her husband is a homosexual and dead, she is evicted

Introduction
Understanding of Holy Spirit To start our research, we need to ask a critical question at the very
beginning : Who is the Holy Spirit? The Bible teaches that the Holy Spirit is a person. Jesus never
referred to it when He was talking about the Holy Spirit. In John 14,15 and 16, for example, He spoke
of the Holy Spirit as He because He is not a force or thing but a person. The point is especially
important at a time when pantheistic tendencies are

The Common Type Of Dementia
Alzheimer is the most common type of dementia that refers to problems with memory, thinking and
behavior typically among people aged 65 and older (Alzheimer s Association.) Dementia is caused by
damage to nerve sells in the brain and as a result, neurons can no long function normally and may die.
In Alzheimer s disease, the impairment of the neurons eventually damages one s ability to carry out
basic everyday activities such as walking and eating. According to the Alzheimer s Research
Foundation, physical exercise can reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer s by up to 50 percent. After
developing cognitive problems, regular exercise will help to slow further deterioration. For example,
someone that has developed symptoms should take the stairs instead of the elevators as a way to add
more movement into their day. It is imperative to acknowledge symptoms of Alzheimer s disease
sooner rather than later so that a health provider can recommend proper treatment options. These
symptoms develop over time and gradually worsen over the years. At the most moderate stage of
someone with Alzheimer s, a common sign is gradual memory loss and confusion. Someone in the
moderate stage may also have difficulty doing things that have multiple steps such as getting dressed
in the morning. As time progresses, the person in its final stages of the disease are unable to leave their
bed and eventually need around the clock assistance. Signs of severe Alzheimer s disease also include

Rhetorical Analysis Of The Novel
The use of irony in the novel also contributes to its postmodernism. Many postmodernists treat serious
subjects jovially to distance themselves from the difficult subject. They evoke black humor and
different types of irony to offer critics of society and to display how society should not fear dark and
somber things. DeLillo sprinkles irony all throughout his story using it even at the most serious of
times. He uses it to show how the characters should not fear death and how the characters ignore
danger when the smoke alarm went off in the hallway upstairs, either to let us know the battery had
just died or because the house was on fire (8) and they did nothing about the possible imminent
danger. DeLillo also uses irony to mock certain characters and expose the ridiculousness of certain
beliefs and customs. When Jack s boss advises him to change his name and appearance to gain more
prestige, the change they make is pretentious as it is the same name only without one letter, we finally
agreed that I should event an extra initial and call myself J.A.K Gladney (16). DeLillo continues to
ridicule society and its principles by exposing absurdity such as Jack not knowing German despite
being the founder of Hitler studies and his college requiring all Hitler majors to understand some of
the language, I had long tried to conceal the fact that I did not know German (31). The use of irony not
only gives the novel a lighter tone, but also exposes DeLillo s critique of society

Food Inc Rhetorical Analysis

Food Inc. Portrayal of Monsanto
In 2009 a movie by the name of Food Inc. was released that challenged the production of food we eat.
The movie examines everything from the science of seeds all the way through the consumption of the
food, the food s often negative effects on the body. The movie ends with the line You can change the
world with every bite . This quote embodies the heart behind movie that change starts with the
individual, and how they make food choices. This sort of change that Food Inc. invokes implies that

processes that allow companies like Monsanto to feed the world. We must understand how media like
Food Inc. effects this mission to feed the world by examining the movie, the history of Monsanto as a
company, and looking at the response from both sides to these challenges made in the public square to
better combat and address issues brought forth.
While inspirational to some Food Inc. also experienced backlash from critics. To the observer Food

Smithfield, Monsanto, Perdue and Tyson companies (sanfran). These were among the named

Magnetic Resonance Imaging ( Mri )
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a powerful medical imaging modality which gives high spatial
resolution images without radiation risk. MRI acquires signals from hydrogen protons of subject.
Under external static magnetic field (B0), the spins of hydrogen protons precess with a Larmor
frequency, while they align parallel to the direction of B0. The spins align antiparallel to the direction
of B0 when additional radio frequency (RF) pulse with the Larmer requency is ap plied. After RF
pulse is removed, the protons relax through the recovery of mag netization parallel to the direction of
B0 (longitudinal or T1 relaxation) and the de cay of transverse magnetization caused by the de phasing
of the spins (transverse or T2 relaxation) [4]. The tissue specific parameters of proton density, T1
relaxa tion, and T2 relaxation gives contrast to the MR images. Due to this principle, MRI gives great
spatial resolution for soft tissues which contain more water molecules. The major drawback of this
technique is its relatively poor sensitivity, due to the weak signal from protons [5]. T1 and T2 contrast
agents which shorten relaxation times have been developed to overcome its poor sensitivity and
improve specifici ty. Gd(III) chelates are the most widely used T1 contrast agents in clinical applica
tions [6]. Although Gd(III) chelates have good paramagnetic property and short en T1 relaxation, the
toxicity of gadolinium ions and their rapid renal clearance limit their use [7]. To reduce

The Transformers series goes further than most other war movies by delivering the US government s
war policy directly to the audience. This amplifies the military s reason for supporting these movies.
They wish to advertise their military policy which has been an extremely controversial issue around
the world, and show off their power by using science fiction movies. The benefit of the science fiction
genre is that it can convey an omnipotent military futurism (Butler). Michael Bay, the director of the
Transformers series, is well known for using political issues in his movies, and Transformers: The
Dark of the Moon (2010) has the strongest political sense in the series of the movies. In Transformers
3, the United States Army emerged like a phoenix from Northern Iraq in 2016, winning the battle of
Aqaba in 2025. This leads to an approval of America to defeat the most difficult enemy, the
Decepticons. In these scenes, some of the dialogues show the American military s current policy in

Feasibility Study Technical Feasibility: A large part of determining resources has to do with assessing
technical feasibility. It considers the technical requirements of the proposed project. The technical
requirements are then compared to the technical capability of the company. The system is considered
technically feasible if the internal technical capability is sufficient to support the project requirements.
It is an evaluation of the hardware and software and how it meets the need of the proposed system.

Minimum Wage Should Be Increased

Minimum Wage Should Be Increased
Congress enacted the federal minimum wage in 1938, during the Great Depression. Congress had two
goals; keeping workers away from poverty and boosting consumer spending for economic recovery.
Today, there is a debate, whether we should increase the minimum wage again. Increasing the
minimum wage is useful for several reasons. First, the current minimum wage has failed to keep up
with inflation. Second, a higher income level reduces employee turnover and increases efficiency and
ultimately, raising the minimum wage does not reduce employment. Even with high unemployment
rates, the minimum wage is useful for the economy.
Today the federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour since July 24, 2009. It has failed to keep up with
inflation. The real value of the minimum wage rose steadily from 1938 until its value reached a peak
in 1968. Thereafter, it suffered severe erosion as Congress failed to adjust for the inflation over time.
The minimum wage of $1.60 an hour in 1968 would be $10.47 today when adjusted for inflation. This
means that the purchasing power of the minimum wage has decreased significantly over time. The
current minimum wage is no longer enough to protect workers out of poverty. A person who earns the
minimum wage and works full time (40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year) only earns about $12,000 in a
year. This is almost $7,000 below the poverty line for a family of three ($19,090)

Being An Alcoholic
This time they decided to send me out of town to a program in Arizona. I arrived there on a Friday,
however, the program wasn t to commence until that Monday. There was no way I was going to check
in and be on lockdown, knowing that I still had a weekend to play with. I checked into a hotel and
prepared myself for, what I thought would turn out, a great time. I learned that things don t always
turn out as planned. I hit the town running at full speed seeking the first bar I could locate to get things
kicked off. Before I knew it, I had gone from one bar to another, even catching taxis to get to and from
them. When I made it back to the hotel room, I was pretty loaded and should have called it quits. But

But the party didn t end there. Later that Saturday afternoon, I was released on my own
reconnaissance and I headed back to the room. I still had a full day to enjoy prior to checking in on
that Monday and I had no plans on allowing it to go to waste. I had my wallet with my debit card in it
and conveniently enough, there was an ATM machine in the lobby of the hotel. I withdrew additional
funds from my bank account and once again I was out and about in pursuit of some to drink. I tried to
convince myself to be more careful the second time around because I didn t want to repeat what I had
just experienced the night before. Early on, everything was going as planned. I was drinking, feeling
good and was still partially coherent. I was feeling well enough to call it quits, but the night still
seemed young and I thought I d challenge a few more shots prior to retiring for that evening. I believe
I can vaguely remember having one more drink before everything went pitch black again. By the time
the lights came back on, once again, there I was on the county s floor as a repeat offender of public
intoxication.
There was, however, something different about this time. Before I was released that Sunday, one of
the deputies pulled me to the side for a quick chat. He told me that I was found in a dark space behind
an abandoned building with my shirt open and my pockets turned inside out missing all of its contents.

Infant s Cognitive Development
An amazing experience to witness is the development and growth of a child. As they grow and learn,
you see them explore the world and all the things we have become accustomed too. While all children
grow differently, they all experience and go through the same stages; physical, cognitive, and socio
emotional development.
One of the first noticeable factors associated with the growth of an infant is how they develop
physically. Physical development involves the physical changes that take place with an infant; this
involves their facial features, which begin to take definition, and they begin to grow in length, and
weight. Naturally, infants are born with reflexes or natural body responses such as, sucking, blinking,
awareness, and grasping. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Love, support, and care are essential to a child brain to develop efficiently, a parent or giver must
provide constant interaction and attention. Cognitive development involves the way infants think,
perceive things, solve problems, and begin to understand the world around them. Imitation is a perfect
combination of both cognitive and socio emotional development; this is a way infants learn. As
caregivers interact with their infant and begin to express emotions, the infant will copy what they see
their caregiver do. Interaction like this plays a role in your infant s brain development. The
sensorimotor stage incorporates senses (sight, hearing, tasting, and feeling) with physical actions. An
infant becomes interested in bright colors, or movement, and begins to respond to an action such as a
smiling caregiver. This concept is similar to joint attention, when a caregiver points to an object, and
the infant becomes aware of it. While, these concepts are based on cognitive development, socio
emotional development also plays an important role. Object permanence is a mixture of both cognitive
and physical development. We know object permanence to be when an infant understands that an
object exists even though the object is not in sight. This concept is in close relation with physical
development, because object permanence involves the senses, which play a large role in physical

Depression And Postpartum Depression
Postpartum Depression among Teenage Mothers
Introduction
Postpartum depression is a category of depression that can occur when a mother has a baby. The
symptoms of postpartum depression are similar to the symptoms of major depression. Postpartum
depression is often experienced during the first month that the baby is born (Bolyn 2017). Some
women experience postpartum depression during pregnancy (Bolyn 2017). A few symptoms of
postpartum depression are excessive crying, loss of appetite, feelings of hopelessness, and difficulty
concentrating (Bolyn 2017). Teen pregnancy contributes to a small percentage of women who are
diagnosed with postpartum depression (Bolyn 2017). A pregnant woman is considered a teen mom if

Anemia, Low birth weight, Preeclampsia, and Premature delivery are effects of postpartum depression
during pregnancy (Mena 2016). Mothers who were going through postpartum depression during the
first three months of the child s life were seen to be irritable and less engaged (Field 2011). Inadequate
caregiving is also a major effect of postpartum depression (Field 2011). Mothers who have postpartum
depression are less likely to continue breastfeeding if it becomes difficult (Field 2011). Infant s with
sleep problems are often put into unsafe sleep practices because of a mother s postpartum depression
(Field 2011). Infants of mothers with postpartum depression are less likely to attend well doctor s
appointments (Field 2011). Safety practices are often violated when a mother has postpartum
depression (Field 2011). Some mothers have thoughts of harming their infants during postpartum
depression (Field 2011). They also can have a fear of being alone with their child (Field 2011).
Mothers with postpartum depression are also known to use harsher punishments (Field 2011).
Why it s important? It is important to receive treatment for postpartum depression because if it is left
untreated it could cause further problems. It is also important because a new mother could have a pre
existing underlying condition of depression (Stone 2014). Leaving postpartum depression untreated
can lead to a poor quality relationship with a partner

Don t Pay Attention On How The Media Portray Us
I also learn that we don t pay attention on how the media portray us in television. Two of my favorite
shows on television are Scandal and Empire. I now learned that those shows are bad for black
American community. Those show the black community in a negative light. For example empire, the
show is about a black drug dealer who got out of the ghetto and became a multi millionaire and his
wife at the time took the plea for him and went to jail for sixteen so he could become what he is. His
three sons are all broken. Andre, the oldest went to an Ivy League college and is now working in the
empire but he is messed up, he has bipolar disorder and his father never showed him love, the middle
child Jamal is gay and you know most people in the black community don t accept that so his father
don t respect him, he have daddy issues and the youngest one Hakeem, is messed up also because he
has mommy issues because cookie went to jail and never really took care him because she was behind
bars. Cookie is a strong loyal woman and her money and power hungry. She is full of attitude.
Everyone loves her. Basically the show is just full of black stereotypes. The show is not a bad show
because the show also portrayed the issues of black American todays. So it is not so bad. You see there
is like one positive black show on Television right now and it is Black ish. That the only show I could
find that shows black people as a strong and good family with like limited stereotypes. This is

Analysis Of The Minister s Black Veil By Nathaniel Hawthorne
The short story The Minister s Black Veil by Nathaniel Hawthorne follows the minister Mr. Hooper
whose simple change in appearance alters the very nature of his existence in society till his death.
While his decision to begin to wear a black veil over his face ostracizes him from society, it also turns
him into a more influential clergyman. With the symbolism of the black veil, Hawthorne makes a
statement on the involvement of society in personal matters and the black veil that is present over the
heart of every man, making the point that everyone is guilty of being sinful.
The Minister s Black Veil was first published in 1832 and was written during the American Romantic
time period. Romanticism was a time period where emotion and ... Show more content on

Hooper for his reason for donning the black veil: no attempts were made...to discover the secret which
[the veil] was supposed to hide (6). Hawthorne portrays society s obsession with that which they do
not know for sure or cannot understand. Hawthorne portrays the townspeople in this way to convey
how people can often be involved in matters not concerning them so much so that they often pass
judgements that may not be just. In Mr. Hooper s case, the townspeople are so invested in analyzing
his black veil that they allow themselves to be affected by his veil so much that they fear him and his
veil, and they even avoid him, all the while not considering how they might be wrong as they are not
entirely different from Mr. Hooper. Symbolism is very prominent throughout the entire short story.
The color black typically symbolizes evil, darkness, and sin. The black veil which conceals the
minister s features, with its negative connotation, is representative of sin. The fact that it is a veil,
which traditionally has a purpose is to conceal one s face, implies that the minister s black veil
symbolizes secret sin. Hawthorne uses this symbolism to imply that man is inherently sinful; if a
minister could potentially guilty of sin, so can others. For the townspeople, the black veil has various
possible meanings. While many townspeople guess at its significance‒some of the townspeople

A Comparison Of White Heat And The Godfather
Almost as soon as the gangster film genre was introduced, countless outside forces began to influence
how its films were made. A large influence was the Production Code Administration, which served as
the official watchdog of the industry by setting rules for production companies and their films
(Friedman 407). Since the PCA often called for gangster protagonists to be killed under violent and
humiliating circumstances so their criminal lifestyle could not be glorified, the archetypal plot of the
gangster film genre easily shaped itself around the gangsters rise and fall (Friedman 416). However,
over time, the circumstances in how this plot line can be depicted has been challenged as the genre has
pushed into new territory. In examining two such films, White Heat and The Godfather, the ability of
the genre s archetypal plot to not only vary but to last and grow throughout history is made abundantly
clear. When White Heat was released in 1949, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The film follows the story of Michael Corleone, as he becomes further and further involved in a life of
crime. While the film does depict Corleone s rise to power, the gangster s downfall is not portrayed in
the same manner as other films of years prior. The Godfather begins with Corleone as an outsider to
the criminal lifestyle, but as it continues, the character takes a turn towards the nefarious, at one point
even stating, Where does it say you can t kill a cop? (The Godfather). Though the character s actions
are initially motivated by the desire to protect his family, the end of the film indicates that Corleone
has placed his life of crime above the sacred element of family he initially set out to protect. In the
final minutes of the film, Corleone shamelessly lies to his wife before a door is symbolically shut to
block her out, demonstrating a new take on the traditional fall, which is not of the gangster, but of the

The Anti-Hero In The Quiet American
How do you measure the life of one person against the greater good? Can it ever be the right thing to
sacrifice an innocent person? And how do you know what the greater good really is? (Amy Engel, The
Book of Ivy). The greater good is a concept that Thomas Fowler, the protagonist of The Quiet
American , uses to justify his part in the murder of an innocent man. Thomas Fowler embodies none
of the qualities typically assigned to an protagonist, being a man whose failings from being an
adulterer, an opium addict, and ultimately a murderer by choice that draws him into the defined role of

when Fowler admits that not only are his actions motivated by his political and moral ideals, but also
that he will recover his young lover, Phuong, from Pyle. Alden Pyle died because Fowler justified his

When this happened, the girls were very excited and happy, that they found them, could see again

Mainstreaming Deaf Students
There are various ways to educate deaf students and one method is called mainstreaming.
Mainstreaming is when a student with a disability, in this case being hearing impaired, is taught in a
class with hearing students. Mainstreaming is supposed to be beneficial for the deaf student in both a
social level, as well as on an educational level. Focusing on the social aspect of mainstreaming, it is
important to look at deaf interactions with peers in the mainstream setting as well as the acceptance of
deaf peers from the hearing students. Deaf students are more likely to succeed academically in the

The Responsibility Of Political Parties
When we think of political parties, our minds automatically link with the popular two: The Republican
party and the Democratic party. These two parties have made a reputation for themselves. Being the
top two, people often forget that there are other platforms aiming for the coveted role of presidency.
Some of these other platforms include the Libertarian party and the Green party. The Green party, in
particular, is one of the newest and smallest parties. In this past election, people were not as familiar
or educated on the Green party as they were on the other parties, therefore, people assumed it would

The Traditions Of Rituals By Nicholas B. Dawe Essay
The traditions of rituals is strongly examined by author Nicholas B. Dirks in Ritual and Resistance:
Subversion as a Social Fact, where he attempts to persuade readers of the drawbacks of ritual practices
through an anthropological point of view. Dirks explains to his readers of the fundamentals of rituals
as: brimming with resistance , opposed to [everyday] , along with the centrality of the subject of
power (Dirks 1994, 483 503). Continuing to state his supporting arguments through the article, Dirk s
concludes that too much of regular (daily) ritual practices creates a normalization in the ritual itself
(Dirks 1994, 483 503). Understanding the perspective of the creation of ordinarity of the practices,
one could argue that the repetition of a curtain act of a tradition can become a normality such as Dirks
states in his writings; however, if the act of tradition is not conducted daily, yet instead semi
annually/annually, there would not be a normality. Dirks presents his thesis as [focussing] on everyday
forms of resistance, critiquing both anthropological assumptions about ritual and historical reifications
of [the] assumptions (Dirks 1994, 483). Dirks finds the negative components of ritual practices, and
continually supports his facts through other scholars opinions as well, however in a separate article of

great effort during this period, the Great Leap Forward had failed as the workers in the industries were
common, ordinary people who had no expertise in machines which led to a lot of useless iron being
made. Furthermore, as many as 30 million people died due to numerous reasons such as the
unpropitious climate conditions, pressure to meet the standards of the authorities, and mass starvation.
The failure of this period led to Mao Zedong being dismissed from his rank as the State Chairman of
RPC, although he still kept his title as the Chairman of the CCP. In order to combat economic disorder
caused by the Great Leap Program, Liu Shaoqi attained his rank as the new Chairman of RPC while
Deng Xiaoping became the CPC General Secretary. In the face of fiasco after the unsuccessful Great
Leap Forward, Mao Zedong pursued a course of eliminating elements of Chinese culture during the
Cultural Revolution to foster a new culture, which was abortive as it had only distorted China both
socially and economically, which was evident through the extensive chaos and technology

Work As A Physical Therapist
Dillworth s work as a physical therapist puts her in a parallel position to a practitioner, as seen in First
Marblehead Corp. v. House, 541 F.3d 36 (1st Cir. 2008). The expert s testimony in First Marblehead
was relevant because the expert witness s professional background as a certified public accountant,
with degrees in economics and financial advisement, would assist the trier of fact with understanding
the financial complexities in the case from a practitioner s position. Id. at 36, 42. Dillworth s position
as a practitioner would permit her to testify about areas that fall under the umbrella of her practice.
Her testimony would provide the trier of fact with an understanding of the issues and factors she
analyzed. These issues ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Alice Dillworth s professional testimony is reliable based on a continued commitment to update her
opinions and knowledge as new and accurate science and discovery comes out in the area of
prosthetics and physical therapy. Her experience with ice hockey injuries and prior testimony given in
product misuse cases make her opinion instrumental in ensuring that the trier of fact have the best
understanding of both the issues of adequacy and open and obvious risk, and Dillworth s scientifically
sound opinions. II. LIFE RENEWAL INC. DID NOT BREACH ITS DUTY TO PROVIDE AN
ADEQUATE WARNING Life Renewal Inc. did not cause the injuries that Christov sustained. These
injuries stem from an unfortunate accident and poor judgment. Christov had a less skilled skater fall
on him, which put excessive strain on the Phoenix I that he was already improperly using by wearing
it for ice hockey. Life Renewal Inc. did not fail to give Christov proper instruction about the use and
risks associated with the Phoenix I prosthetic, nor did Christov choose to use the Phoenix I per the
proper instruction. Liability for a warning defect falls to sellers if they have failed to provide adequate

The Reform Act And The Municipal Act
The legislation passed in 1832, known as the Great Reform Act , was viewed as a breakthrough in
terms of reforming parliament due to it being the first of its kind. The legislation brought newly
enfranchised towns and cities into the fold, removed rotten boroughs and created a consistency in
voting all of which had been a problem for parliament previously. However many have argued to the
length that this legislation extended to and have countered that the legislation passed following 1832
was merely a slow progression towards full reform in the 20th century. These acts still left working
men without a vote and franchise was based on property rather than tax paying. This would suggest to
why there was so much disappointment from these acts as a result, as they simply did not go far
enough to reach the expectations that came with them. This essay will demonstrate why there was
such a sense of anticlimax with the legislation itself, as well as expanding upon the acts that were
passed after 1832 such as the second Great Reform Act and the Municipal act. All of which brought
further reform and change that was originally expected with the Great Reform Act in 1832. The great
sense of disappointment stemmed from the idea that the Great Reform Act did not address the issues
that were problematic in this period to the full extent they should have. A large factor was that of the
working class and how they could not vote if they did not meet certain property requirements or pay

Market Structures And Pricing Strategies Market Structures and Pricing Strategies There are different types of market structures all over the world since business is not done the same way everywhere. Even within the USA different companies use different pricing strategies based on the market structures. As a business and as a consumer it is vital to identify and understand these different types of market structures and their pricing strategies. The ideal type of market is the one where price and demand are not affected by anything, in other words it is always consistent. Of course the reality is that markets are affected by different factors, which can hike up the price for an item or lower it, hence increase demand or decrease it. There are 4 different types of market structures ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Due to the fact that all products are priced at market value, the consumer is more willing to purchase the item knowing that no one will offer a better price. In a perfect competition market the goal of the company is to maximize profits by ensuring production cost does not exceed revenues (calculating how much they can produce without losing money due to cost of production; MR=MC) and that consumer demands are met. Perfect competition markets are ideal because they tend to balance themselves out even though they have no barriers of entry (Hillman, 2014). Even if a company has a short run profit loss due to a period of high entry to market, at a certain point the revenues will equal market prices. Some companies will see it as a loss and will exit the market; hence allowing the prices to go back up and profits to be regained. The exiting of the market stops when every one of the firms remaining breaking even. If the businesses within the market are enjoying short term profits this will increase entry to market; hence will decrease output from each company and decrease profits. This activity will end when the price of products equals total average cost and the economic profits are zero. The perfect competition s long term outcomes are two: allocative and productive efficiency (Hillman, 2014). Allocative efficiency is when a company s output equals consumer demand, which eliminates the possibility of deadweight ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Clinical Definition Of Clinical Context Clinical Context Patient, JD, is a 50 year old Caucasian male with a past medical history of polysubstance abuse who presented to outside hospital with shortness of breath and chest pain who developed cardiogenic shock complicated by shock liver and renal failure and was transferred to Henry Ford Hospital for elevation of care. The patient was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) upon arrival. While in the ICU, patient developed a fever with leukocytosis and patchy infiltrate on CXR and was treated for HCAP. Blood cultures were drawn at that time that grew yeast, possibly related to a line infection. Lines were removed and patient was started on fluconazole. Fungal cultures drawn grew Candida krusei and Fluconazole was switched to anidulafungin. Infectious Disease was consulted suggesting total duration of anti fungals of 2 weeks for candidemia. Repeat blood cultures drawn after treatment were negative and patient s clinical status improved on anidulafungin treatment. This patient had spent a total of 21 days in the ICU. C. krusei is known to have intrinsic resistance to fluconazole5, which is why treatment was switched to anidulafungin, a semisynthetic echinocandin. Plato s Symposium, By Plato In the book, Plato s Symposium, by Plato, who was a philosopher in Greece, he illustrates the dialectic discussion at a party at Agathon s to celebrate his triumph of his first tragedy. In the Symposium; the guests Phaedrus, an Athenian aristocrat; Pausanias, the legal expert; Eryximachus, a physician; Aristophanes, eminent comic playwright; Agathon ,a tragic poet and host of the banquet; Socrates, eminent philosopher and Plato s teacher; and Alcibiades, a prominent Athenian statesman, orator and general; discuss their own versions and viewpoints to praise the god of love. First, we have Phaedrus, who starts to say that love is the most ancient of the gods and should be praiseworthy, next we have Eryximachus who states that love affects everything in the universe and that it should be protected, next we have Aristophanes, who states that the reason why love is on earth is because god has split humanity in half and that man should fear the gods and should embrace love to feel whole again, and last we have Socrates who suggests what Diotima explains that love is in the middle of two things or objects and has both characteristics. Phaedrus starts off the conversation of love stating how the god Love doesn t get much attention in songs and that he should be praiseworthy because he has helped men to gain honor and blessedness. This begins the symposium and functions as a way to tell the reader what the topic would be about and why the guests in the party should discuss it. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

What happens to a dream deferred? is the opening statement of Harlem that grabs the attention of everyone who is reading this phenomenal poem. Of the two poems listed in this essay, this opening statement is more attention grabbing and is a fantastic hook to being with. Harlem and Women Have Loved Before As I Love Now, are ideally comparable and contrastable. The meanings of the poems and the authors of the poems are some topics that are different in these poems. The style of the poems and length of the poems are the other topics that are the same and are comparable to this subject. Altogether, these two pieces of literature are actually intriguing and somewhat interesting. Looking for the meanings of the poems is the greatest challenge when reading a poem written a long time ago. Misinterpreting the meaning can cause some bigger issues in the dialect or if you someone wanted to write an analysis on the poem. In Harlem, only eleven lines are written with such greater meaning to the sentences. For example, like a raisin in the sun? could mean that the raisin is already supposed to be dry, like our dreams are supposed to be settle. As for Women Have Loved Before As I Love Now, has fourteen lines that have a higher intellectual and deeper meaning to the sentences. The resultant increase in Equilibrium GDP of government expenditure has a resultant stimulus in economy and aggregate expenditure. (Jackson McIver, 2001) A standard approach to evaluating the magnitude of construction of major infrastructure is to identify direct spending by contractors; indirect spending to suppliers e.g. accommodation and food; and then induced spending. However, this has been disputed by some industry groups such as GrainCorp in relation to the Inland Rail project. This was because years earlier, Blanche s husband committed suicide after she expressed her distaste on his sexuality. She later had many affairs trying to numb her grief on the death of her husband. The second condition for a tragic hero is what is called Hamartia, a tragic flaw that causes the downfall of the hero. Blanche s tragic flaw is that she is dependant on men, so much so that she makes choices and does things that are morally questionable. She manipulates and lies to potential suitors to make herself seem more attractive and younger which in her mind is the only way a man will love her. She does this with Harold Mitch Mitchell and it seems to be working until Mitch is informed of all the lies he s been fed, at which point Mitch breaks up with Blanche and leaves her vulnerable for Stanley to rape. • 16. Rhetorical Analysis Of The Novel The use of irony in the novel also contributes to its postmodernism. Many postmodernists treat serious subjects jovially to distance themselves from the difficult subject. They evoke black humor and different types of irony to offer critics of society and to display how society should not fear dark and somber things. DeLillo sprinkles irony all throughout his story using it even at the most serious of times. He uses it to show how the characters should not fear death and how the characters ignore danger when the smoke alarm went off in the hallway upstairs, either to let us know the battery had just died or because the house was on fire (8) and they did nothing about the possible imminent danger. DeLillo also uses irony to mock certain characters and expose the ridiculousness of certain beliefs and customs. When Jack s boss advises him to change his name and appearance to gain more prestige, the change they make is pretentious as it is the same name only without one letter, we finally agreed that I should event an extra initial and call myself J.A.K Gladney (16). DeLillo continues to ridicule society and its principles by exposing absurdity such as Jack not knowing German despite being the founder of Hitler studies and his college requiring all Hitler majors to understand some of the language, I had long tried to conceal the fact that I did not know German (31). The use of irony not only gives the novel a lighter tone, but also exposes DeLillo s critique of society ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 21. Magnetic Resonance Imaging ( Mri ) Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a powerful medical imaging modality which gives high spatial resolution images without radiation risk. MRI acquires signals from hydrogen protons of subject. Under external static magnetic field (B0), the spins of hydrogen protons precess with a Larmor frequency, while they align parallel to the direction of B0. The spins align antiparallel to the direction of B0 when additional radio frequency (RF) pulse with the Larmer requency is ap plied. After RF pulse is removed, the protons relax through the recovery of mag netization parallel to the direction of B0 (longitudinal or T1 relaxation) and the de cay of transverse magnetization caused by the de phasing of the spins (transverse or T2 relaxation) [4]. The tissue specific parameters of proton density, T1 relaxa tion, and T2 relaxation gives contrast to the MR images. Due to this principle, MRI gives great spatial resolution for soft tissues which contain more water molecules. The major drawback of this technique is its relatively poor sensitivity, due to the weak signal from protons [5]. T1 and T2 contrast agents which shorten relaxation times have been developed to overcome its poor sensitivity and improve specifici ty. Gd(III) chelates are the most widely used T1 contrast agents in clinical applica tions [6]. Although Gd(III) chelates have good paramagnetic property and short en T1 relaxation, the toxicity of gadolinium ions and their rapid renal clearance limit their use [7]. To reduce ... Congress had two goals; keeping workers away from poverty and boosting consumer spending for economic recovery. Today, there is a debate, whether we should increase the minimum wage again. Increasing the minimum wage is useful for several reasons. First, the current minimum wage has failed to keep up with inflation. Second, a higher income level reduces employee turnover and increases efficiency and ultimately, raising the minimum wage does not reduce employment. Even with high unemployment rates, the minimum wage is useful for the economy. Today the federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour since July 24, 2009. It has failed to keep up with inflation. The real value of the minimum wage rose steadily from 1938 until its value reached a peak in 1968. Thereafter, it suffered severe erosion as Congress failed to adjust for the inflation over time. The minimum wage of $1.60 an hour in 1968 would be $10.47 today when adjusted for inflation. This means that the purchasing power of the minimum wage has decreased significantly over time. The current minimum wage is no longer enough to protect workers out of poverty. A person who earns the minimum wage and works full time (40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year) only earns about $12,000 in a year. This is almost $7,000 below the poverty line for a family of three ($19,090) ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 27. Being An Alcoholic This time they decided to send me out of town to a program in Arizona. I arrived there on a Friday, however, the program wasn t to commence until that Monday. There was no way I was going to check in and be on lockdown, knowing that I still had a weekend to play with. I checked into a hotel and prepared myself for, what I thought would turn out, a great time. I learned that things don t always turn out as planned. I hit the town running at full speed seeking the first bar I could locate to get things kicked off. Before I knew it, I had gone from one bar to another, even catching taxis to get to and from them. Later that Saturday afternoon, I was released on my own reconnaissance and I headed back to the room. I still had a full day to enjoy prior to checking in on that Monday and I had no plans on allowing it to go to waste. I had my wallet with my debit card in it and conveniently enough, there was an ATM machine in the lobby of the hotel. I withdrew additional funds from my bank account and once again I was out and about in pursuit of some to drink. I tried to convince myself to be more careful the second time around because I didn t want to repeat what I had just experienced the night before. Early on, everything was going as planned. I was drinking, feeling good and was still partially coherent. I was feeling well enough to call it quits, but the night still seemed young and I thought I d challenge a few more shots prior to retiring for that evening. I believe I can vaguely remember having one more drink before everything went pitch black again. By the time the lights came back on, once again, there I was on the county s floor as a repeat offender of public intoxication. There was, however, something different about this time. • 28. Infant s Cognitive Development An amazing experience to witness is the development and growth of a child. As they grow and learn, you see them explore the world and all the things we have become accustomed too. While all children grow differently, they all experience and go through the same stages; physical, cognitive, and socio emotional development. One of the first noticeable factors associated with the growth of an infant is how they develop physically. Physical development involves the physical changes that take place with an infant; this involves their facial features, which begin to take definition, and they begin to grow in length, and weight. Naturally, infants are born with reflexes or natural body responses such as, sucking, blinking, awareness, and grasping. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Love, support, and care are essential to a child brain to develop efficiently, a parent or giver must provide constant interaction and attention. Cognitive development involves the way infants think, perceive things, solve problems, and begin to understand the world around them. Imitation is a perfect combination of both cognitive and socio emotional development; this is a way infants learn. As caregivers interact with their infant and begin to express emotions, the infant will copy what they see their caregiver do. Interaction like this plays a role in your infant s brain development. The sensorimotor stage incorporates senses (sight, hearing, tasting, and feeling) with physical actions. An infant becomes interested in bright colors, or movement, and begins to respond to an action such as a smiling caregiver. This concept is similar to joint attention, when a caregiver points to an object, and the infant becomes aware of it. While, these concepts are based on cognitive development, socio emotional development also plays an important role. Object permanence is a mixture of both cognitive and physical development. We know object permanence to be when an infant understands that an object exists even though the object is not in sight. This concept is in close relation with physical development, because object permanence involves the senses, which play a large role in physical ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Two of my favorite shows on television are Scandal and Empire. I now learned that those shows are bad for black American community. Those show the black community in a negative light. For example empire, the show is about a black drug dealer who got out of the ghetto and became a multi millionaire and his wife at the time took the plea for him and went to jail for sixteen so he could become what he is. His three sons are all broken. Andre, the oldest went to an Ivy League college and is now working in the empire but he is messed up, he has bipolar disorder and his father never showed him love, the middle child Jamal is gay and you know most people in the black community don t accept that so his father don t respect him, he have daddy issues and the youngest one Hakeem, is messed up also because he has mommy issues because cookie went to jail and never really took care him because she was behind bars. Cookie is a strong loyal woman and her money and power hungry. She is full of attitude. Everyone loves her. Basically the show is just full of black stereotypes. The show is not a bad show because the show also portrayed the issues of black American todays. So it is not so bad. • 31. Analysis Of The Minister s Black Veil By Nathaniel Hawthorne The short story The Minister s Black Veil by Nathaniel Hawthorne follows the minister Mr. Hooper whose simple change in appearance alters the very nature of his existence in society till his death. While his decision to begin to wear a black veil over his face ostracizes him from society, it also turns him into a more influential clergyman. With the symbolism of the black veil, Hawthorne makes a statement on the involvement of society in personal matters and the black veil that is present over the heart of every man, making the point that everyone is guilty of being sinful. Hawthorne portrays society s obsession with that which they do not know for sure or cannot understand. Hawthorne portrays the townspeople in this way to convey how people can often be involved in matters not concerning them so much so that they often pass judgements that may not be just. In Mr. Hooper s case, the townspeople are so invested in analyzing his black veil that they allow themselves to be affected by his veil so much that they fear him and his veil, and they even avoid him, all the while not considering how they might be wrong as they are not entirely different from Mr. Hooper. Symbolism is very prominent throughout the entire short story. The color black typically symbolizes evil, darkness, and sin. The black veil which conceals the minister s features, with its negative connotation, is representative of sin. The fact that it is a veil, which traditionally has a purpose is to conceal one s face, implies that the minister s black veil symbolizes secret sin. Hawthorne uses this symbolism to imply that man is inherently sinful; if a minister could potentially guilty of sin, so can others. For the townspeople, the black veil has various possible meanings. • 32. A Comparison Of White Heat And The Godfather Almost as soon as the gangster film genre was introduced, countless outside forces began to influence how its films were made. A large influence was the Production Code Administration, which served as the official watchdog of the industry by setting rules for production companies and their films (Friedman 407). Since the PCA often called for gangster protagonists to be killed under violent and humiliating circumstances so their criminal lifestyle could not be glorified, the archetypal plot of the gangster film genre easily shaped itself around the gangsters rise and fall (Friedman 416). However, over time, the circumstances in how this plot line can be depicted has been challenged as the genre has pushed into new territory. Dirks explains to his readers of the fundamentals of rituals as: brimming with resistance , opposed to [everyday] , along with the centrality of the subject of power (Dirks 1994, 483 503). Continuing to state his supporting arguments through the article, Dirk s concludes that too much of regular (daily) ritual practices creates a normalization in the ritual itself (Dirks 1994, 483 503). Understanding the perspective of the creation of ordinarity of the practices, one could argue that the repetition of a curtain act of a tradition can become a normality such as Dirks states in his writings; however, if the act of tradition is not conducted daily, yet instead semi annually/annually, there would not be a normality. The Reform Act And The Municipal Act The legislation passed in 1832, known as the Great Reform Act , was viewed as a breakthrough in terms of reforming parliament due to it being the first of its kind. The legislation brought newly enfranchised towns and cities into the fold, removed rotten boroughs and created a consistency in voting all of which had been a problem for parliament previously. However many have argued to the length that this legislation extended to and have countered that the legislation passed following 1832 was merely a slow progression towards full reform in the 20th century. These acts still left working men without a vote and franchise was based on property rather than tax paying.
