On April 4, 2010, Apple Inc. launched its eagerly anticipated iPad amid great hype. The multimedia
computer tablet was the third major innovation that Apple had released over the last decade. CEO
Steve Jobs had argued that the iPad was another revolutionary product that could emulate the
smashing success of the iPod and the iPhone. Expectations ran high. Even The Economist
displayed the release of the iPad on its magazine cover with Jobs illustrated as a biblical figure,
noting that, The enthusiasm of the Apple faithful may be overdone, but Mr. Jobs s record suggests

It sparked a computing revolution that drove the PC industry to $1 billion in annual sales in less
than three years.5 Apple quickly became the industry leader, selling more than 100,000 Apple IIs
by the end of 1980. In December 1980, Apple launched a successful IPO.
Apple s competitive position changed fundamentally in 1981 when IBM entered the PC market.
The IBM PC, which used Microsoft s DOS operating system (OS) and a microprocessor (also
called a CPU) from Intel, was a relatively open system that other producers could clone. Apple, on
the other hand, practiced horizontal and vertical integration. It relied on its own proprietary designs
and refused to license its hardware to third parties.
IBM PCs not only gained more market share, but they also emerged as the new standard for the
industry. Apple responded by introducing the Macintosh in 1984. The Mac marked a
breakthrough in ease of use, industrial design, and technical elegance. However, the Mac s slow
processor speed and lack of compatible software limited sales. Apple s net income fell 62%
between 1981 and 1984, sending the company into a crisis. Jobs, who was often referred to as the
soul of the company, was forced out in 1985.6 The boardroom coup left John Sculley, the
executive whom Jobs had actively recruited from Pepsi Cola for his marketing skills, alone at the

In order to pass the CPC exam, you need to have a strong understanding in all areas of the medical
field. All of the classes that I have taken so far were in preparation for me to be successful when I
take my CPC exam. One of the first things I will do to prepare for the exam is to make sure all of
my coding books have tabs and any and all notes that I may need during my test. Fortunately for me
my instructor conducts a boot camp and tutoring classes if I need help with any part of what I

Throughout all four of my dystopian films a strong theme that has been brought to the surface is
the idea of individuality is the enemy . As a dystopian film is an illusion of the perfect society,
they go hand in hand. The illusion of a perfect society is typically maintained through the use of

These are all themes that relate to homicides, people are generally killed when they have more
power than someone else or they simply don t want to deal with the problem anymore. It is in this
movie that we see Tris and Four defeat the system, they firstly defeat the system through their
manner, the fact that they are able to confront their deepest fears and are able to see through the
idea of a perfect society. Divergent s also work out that you don t need to be paired with people
that share the mutual hate that you have towards another faction in this case. Tris and Four
manipulate the system as they can see that the government has split up everyone so that they don t
unite and combine all of their skill sets. This is why we see that the government purposely divides
people to stop them from combining their skill sets and becoming more powerful than the

of high school students chewing gum versus non chewers. The concentration portion provided
students with two color tests to take to record differences in concentration. The results provided
data with an increase in concentration of students while chewing gum.

Psychologist have tested the effect of gum many times but can t specifically find what makes gum a
concentrating agent. Sugar free gum has the same effect as gum with sugar present. At St.

Methods
The first step in conducting the experiment was deciding who was going to be tested. The test
included using four classes each of a different grade level to perform the color/concentration test on.
Each student was given a notecard to document their: Name, Age, Gender, Grade, Score, and Time.
The first test was fireworkspop.com/colortest which was the simpler of the two test. As students
take the test monitor the room and answer any questions anyone has getting to the website. After
completing the first test the students will then their first score on the note card and proceed to

website gives the option to continue anonymously and the website calculates the score and gives
the time it was completed in. The students wrote all their results before the note cards are taken

included. The reason for waiting a while before doing the second portion of the test is so the
subjects would not be expecting it, therefore they would not be prepared, making results more

At 5pm Cpl. Bourgeois s torn drivers license was found by a covered bridge on Shediac River,
approximately 15 miles east of Moncton. Due to the fact that sunset had past the police decided
to cordon off the area and await daylight to continue the search.8 The next morning at 8am the

first appearance in court on December 23rd. Both Ambrose and Hutchinson were found guilty and
sentenced to death by hanging in 1976. When the Trudeau government repealed capital punishment
