Life Style Analysis Papers
Introduction
Deciding on a career is an important life decision. In order to make an educated decision, reflection on
what you want your life to be like is necessary. I would like a job where I can utilize my interest in
math and science, have the opportunity to research, create, and develop revolutionary ideas and
processes. However, there is more the selecting a career than personal interests. I would like to have a
life outside of my job, which would mean I need a structured schedule that is not susceptible to
change. Also, I would like to travel quite a bit during my life, and I would need to make enough
money to accommodate the expenses of traveling. In addition, I would like to have a job where
advancement opportunities are available, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Industry chemical engineering jobs require a lot of on the job training, and the information takes a
while to learn. Switching companies would mean starting over with job training, and it could be a
setback in a career. Also, working on a research project requires familiarity with the project, so it may
be a while before a person can contribute. Switching research requires time to become familiar with
the project, so this would also set a career behind. While moving companies may be a hurdle in a
career path, there is no shortage of jobs for chemical engineers. It would be possible to move

Hans Use Of Political And Social Themes
Hans Haacke has been characterized as among some of the most revolutionary and controversial
contemporary and conceptual artists of all time. Haacke s works are generally simply constructed yet
exquisitely permeated with depth and importance through his integration of social, political, and
environmental issues in his pieces that give them a voice they would otherwise lack. In the following
essay, we will seek to understand just how Hans Haacke s use of political and social themes causes his
work to resonate with audiences on the scale it has done. When gazing upon the vast expanse of art
history, it becomes evident that the greatest and most influentially revolutionary individuals are not
those that dabble in the popular and well studied styles of old. Those who are great flee from average
and explore uncharted new territories. The individuals that choose to really set themselves apart from
the rest of art culture are those who branch out in totally new directions. Those who delve into new
ideas and new ways of expressing themselves through mediums and styles few have trodden upon.
Hans Haacke has cemented himself in history as one of these influential and revolutionary individuals.
His pioneering work of a conceptual nature was unparalleled and unmatched by his competitors at its
conception. Hans Haacke was born August 12, 1936 in the little town of Cologne, Germany. Before he
started formal education, he was part of an global organization known as Zero. Zero was a

Service Quality And Quality Management Essay
Service quality can be defined as the reflection of service delivery by finding the gap between the
perceived service and expected service. There are 8 dimensions for quality , they are performance,
features, reliability, conformance, durability, service ability, aesthetics, perceived quality and value.
Total quality management depend mainly on quality control tools and previously developed quality
techniques. It s a process of continuous quality improvement which finally results in high quality
products or service for customers. Total quality is the related with customer satisfaction.it includes the
steps plan, do, act, check these steps which combinely known as total quality management.
Servqual model is otherwise called as servqual service quality. Its one of the main component of high
quality service. There are five main common factors for servqual model they are reliability, assurance,
tangibles, empathy and responsiveness. There are seven types of gap in servqual model . Here am
pointing out 5 gaps in servqual model, this model is an extension of parasuraman et al.(1985). This
model is very useful in finding out the quality of service delivery and gaps in service delivery before
and after the service. For example in a hospital setup new Zealand city hospital the service delivery
measured using this model. This is the most common method used in measuring service.

Second Intifada
In the second Intifada, which lasted from 2000 to 2005, Palestinians were shown regularly to be
appearing in a variety of new roles. Israeli journalists, in both the electronic and the printed press,
conducted interviews on a regular basis with political leaders, ordinary people, and even terrorists.
(Liebes Kampf, 2009) what happened to the reasons listed above as to why Israeli media did not shed
much light on Palestinians. It went from protecting the public from seeing death to now interviewing
so called terrorists . This is a drastic change from what was seen in the 1st intifada. The authors talk
about their reasons as to why these changes took place. Among these reasons is the easy access to

There has been certain periods where it would vary throughout the decade but generally, it was more
balanced. When the first intifada started in 1987, the author claimed that up towards end of 2001,
coverage was increasingly becoming pro Israeli. Specifically, the newspaper has used a higher
percentage of Israeli sources and more Israeli end quotes and personalized Israeli deaths more than
Palestinian deaths. (Elmasry, 2010). The author goes on to discuss the methods used by news articles
that make them pro Israeli rather than balanced. Among those reasons is the old self defence claims.
Another reason used is claiming it was an accident . An example of this is The Israeli army attacked a
Palestinian militia leader with a helicopter gunship Thursday, missing him but killing two others.
(Dellios, 2001) another more recent example occurred during the 2014 war on Gaza when the Israeli
military launched missiles on a beach killing 4 boys who were playing soccer. The boys were killed in
full view of a hotel filled with foreign correspondents reporting on the conflict, which led to
harrowing first hand accounts of the attack. (2015) the author spends a portion of the paper talking
about the justification news articles use to legitimize Israel s actions but that will be covered in the

Van Gogh Houses In Auvers
Beyond the Beauty
When having to choose two works of art to compare and analyze, it had occurred to me that one of my
all time favorite artist has always been Vincent Van Gogh. After searching through countless of Van
Gogh s magnificent works of art, I knew I wanted to analyze Houses in Auvers . Once I chose my first
painting, the second piece fell right into place. Since Van Gogh was a painter in the post impressionist
movement, deciding to choose another painter from that movement worked out well. I chose, Auvers,
Panoramic View , painted by Paul Cezanne. A majority of people admiring these paintings would
realize at least two elements: houses, and the beauty. Although, looking beyond the beauty of the
town, there are many more comparisons.
While analyzing these paintings the first concept that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both of these works of art have a dull like feel to them. Although, in Van Gogh s painting, less of the
town had been painted. Having chosen to paint only a few houses from the town, this gives the
viewers a feel of homeliness. With this being said, the use of color in Van Gogh s is much more, and
to a point, more vibrant than Cezanne s. The color in both works of art accomplishes much more than
add to the beauty of the surroundings and landscape. The color used in both these paintings does a
stunning job describing the world around them. Even though the color may be dull, it adds to the
emotion of both paintings. With Cezanne s having a bigger point of view than Van Gogh s, the color is
distributed immensely in Auvers, Panoramic view . Having this be said, in Cezanne s the viewer gains
a superior perspective on the surroundings and the atmosphere the town gives off. Even with the dull
like coloring in both, it gives the viewer a sense of peacefulness and

Jerry Lee Lewis s Contribution To Rock And Roll
Great Balls of Fire! Jerry Lee Lewis was a crazy man who hit the rock scene and changed it forever.
His contribution to rock and roll is still recognized today. His music can be heard in movies and in
other artists recordings. Jerry Lee Lewis added his own outrageous style to performances and was
inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame, making him the most influential star up to today. Jerry s
music career began in his childhood. Jerry Lee Lewis got his first piano from his father when he was
nine. He started playing at his aunt s house and when his father noticed, he got a loan to pay for it
(Carlin, 2006). Without Jerry s support from his father and aunt, Jerry probably wouldn t have gotten

Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On, . That is ,because they both were rated #1 on the pop, country, and R B

performed by other musicians. Not everyone may have known it was originally his song, but people
who did know him, loved him for those songs! Also, if you see a man singing while standing on the
piano or using their arms and feet, you can know, right away, that it is Jerry. Jerry was wacky on the

Introduction to Geography
Research paper week 7 I learned more than I anticipated while studying the Introduction to
Geography. There are Four Geographic Traditions; Earth Science Tradition, Culture Environment
Tradition, Location Tradition and Area Analysis Tradition. The Earth Science Tradition covers
physical geography such as landforms, natural resources, weather and climate. I found the text on
natural resources to be very helpful, informative and important for our current economy. The Culture
Environment Tradition discusses population geography, spatial interaction and culture geography.
During one of the class discussions about population I learned that in just 22 hours the world

The weather affects us constantly, whether rain or shine. Tropical storms and hurricanes have been in
the news a lot lately. Since I live on the Gulf of Mexico I have learned that during hurricane season it
is critical to pay attention to the weather and be prepared for a hurricane. I think about how much
more damage would be caused and how many lives could be lost if we didn t have an understanding of
the weather. Even today with resources such as the weather channel and local news reports we cannot
prevent damage to the environment completely. We can however evacuate people to save lives and
build better hurricane resistant buildings in hurricane prone areas. The National Hurricane Center is a
component of the National Centers for Environmental Prediction. (nhc.noaa.gov) The National
Hurricane Center is a great on line tool. It has information such as; local forecast, cyclone forecast,
marine forecast, tools, data and information about outreach and education. It s so detailed that you can

zone over warm waters, usually in the Northern Hemisphere. (Introduction to Geography, Getis, page

Satire in Catch-22 by Joseph Heller Essay
Catch 22, by Joseph Heller, is a fictitious novel that depicts life on an American bomber squadron on
Pianosa, an island off the coast of Italy, during the closing years of World War II. A bombardier by the
name of Yossarian, the main character in the story, is joined by many others to create a comic drama
unlike any other. But aside from the entertainment, Heller uses Catch 22 to satirize many aspects of
everyday life that consist of hypocrisy, corruption, and insanity. From the laziness of policeman to the
fake happiness brought about by money, the novel is painted with a great number of points targeted
against the faults of modern society. However, along with these smaller targets, a majority of the

When Yossarian rebels against this system of injustice commanding over him, the narrator states that
Milo is ashamed of Yossarian who is quot;jeopardizing his traditional rights of freedom and
independence by daring to exercise them quot; (415). According to Milo, it is not fair to fight for your
own justice as an American in the military. This statement is foolish and is exactly what Heller
satirizes in the book; the fact that during war, the freedom and individuality of lower ranking officers
are stripped away from them to satisfy the needs of higher ranking officers. Yossarian later discovers
through Major Danby that Colonel Cathcart and Colonel Korn quot;can prepare as many official
reports as they want and choose whichever ones they need on any given occasion, quot; which is
another example of the bureaucracy allowing men to cease liberties in order to incite more power for
personal use (452). When continuing his discussion with Major Danby at the end of the book,
Yossarian uses an analogy to indicate to the Major just what it is like being controlled by higher
powers. After Danby wishes he was a cucumber or some kind of vegetable so he did not have to make
important decisions, Yossarian states that if he was a quot;good one quot; then quot;they d cut you off
in your prime and slice you up for a salad quot; and if he was a quot;poor

Compare And Contrast Functionalist And Stylistics
Two different approaches in Stylistics: Formalist Vs Functionalist
Stylistics as a particular way of approaching the meaning that a society produces has many tools to
analyze writer s or author s style of their works. There are actually several different approaches toward
stylistics including formalist, mentalist, textlinguistic/functionalist, pragmatic, radical and empirical,
however this paper will only focus on comparing and contrasting two different approaches, those are
Formalist and Functionalist.
Comparing Formalist and Functionalist
Generally both of them are interested in finding the meaning of the text, but formalists look at the text
semantically, while functionalists concern with the text pragmatically.

Firth and M.A.K Halliday. Malinowski, 1923 (cited in Burke, 2014) works on the importance of
situational context. Functionalists also look at context as important thing in constructing meaning.
Context will influence how we interpret a text. However, context is put in the highest level of
interpreting meaning. And then, Firth with his work Personality in language and society (1950).
Halliday (1994) (cited in Burke, 2014) in his work An Introduction to Functional Grammar proposed
what we called as metafunctions . Halliday believed that in a particular language there must be
tripartite functions, namely Ideational, Interpersonal and Textual. Ideational or well known as
experiential meaning which has a representational function is used to encode any idea or experience of
the world; it conveys a picture of reality. Interpersonal function means we use it to encode interaction
to see the social relationships. And the last is Textual function of language is used to organize our
experiential, logical and interpersonal meanings into a linear and coherent whole and it provides the
formal properties of language. (Halliday, 2014). All these functions work simultaneously and they
have relation one another. However, it still can be analyzed

Nancy Wexler Case Study
Nancy Wexler was clearly motivated to accomplish her goals of finding a treatment/cure by the factors
of personal tragedy such as when her family members were being affected by the disease and also by
the advances of DNA technology such as when she discovered the gene responsible for the disease,
courtesy of this. We know that Mendelian s law of inheritance had been accepted into the scientific
approach of discovering a knowledge base such. For instance, this enabled scientists to discover some
facts of HD such as that it affects parts of the brain. Because of this knowledge, people such as
Americo Negrette can investigate this fact even further by discovering neurological (brain) diseases
that helped Dr. Wexler find the genetic cause of HD disease in the end. It is important to note that a
vague scientific fact can contribute to a specific issue, which may eventually lead to some incredible
discovery. This was the case that Dr. Wexler followed in order for her to accomplish her goals. ...

For instance, in the case of HD, genetic technology allowed scientists to conduct research on the gene
of the disease through the use of living organisms such as mice. This can also be useful for other
things such as medical areas because scientists can also use mice for testing new drugs and antibiotics,
perhaps to find an effective drug that is capable of treating patients who suffer from Huntington s
Disease. Genetics can also promote other technologies regarding Huntington s Disease such as PET
scans which produces nuclear images for areas around the body. This can be applied to monitoring the
progression of the disease in the brain (since that is what it affects). This advance also contributes to
stem cell research where scientists can use affected human stem cells (containing the HD gene) for

Wilfred Owen, War Poems and Others How does Wilfred Owen explore the horror of war through the
power of poetry? Throughout the several poems Wilfred Owen wrote throughout his experience
during the First World War, he explores many themes in relation to the war and the emotions
associated with these. One of the most prevalent ideas Wilfred Owen chooses to emphasise in many of
his poems is that of the sense of horror associated with war and all the consequences of it such as
those including death, disability, pain and gore and this emphasis can be clearly seen in 2 of Wilfred
Owens most famous poems: Dulce Et Decorum Est and Mental Cases. First and foremost, the

Stereotypes Of An American Teenager Essay
Single Story Stereotype of the American Teenager
This is a story about the many stereotypes of the everyday American teenager. The teen is sometimes

Typically they are obsessed with their phone. They are on social media 24/7. If their phone dies they
may do one of two things ask someone for a charging block or find a power slot. If this teen goes
somewhere where there is no wifi they will get upset or very desperate for the passcode if the wifi is

A Dental Assistant s duties can vary from practice to practice but fundamentally you are there to
facilitate the work of the Dentist and ensure that patients are attended to not only professionally by

A clear way of offering support to a patient is by showing that you have an excellent character and are
well educated. Patients are best comforted by Dental Assistants who are good hearted and genuinely
caring. Being attentive with patients includes offering them assistance to sit in the chair if necessary
and keeping the patients mouth dry so that the dentist can carry out their work.
Ensuring that you have an in depth knowledge of dental procedures will not only assist the Dentist but
also impress the patient. During your interview you should make it clear that you are willing to learn

Teams Are Essential To Success In Both Business And Many
Teams are essential to success in both business and many varied aspects of our personal and
professional life. Proper team development is critical to ensuring that high performance teams, and
understanding the process surrounding team development is critical for managers and leaders. In this
essay, I will discuss the team development process by examining the five stages of team development,
and provide personal examples of each of the stages with advantages and disadvantages in my
personal experiences in a team environment while serving as part of an organizational re design team.
Teams are defined as small groups of individuals with particular skills that work together to achieve

The team members asked to participate made logical sense as their divisions were critical to
organizational change, and would be directly impacted by the team recommendation. In the same
initial meeting, however, a disadvantage was individuals who were not critical to the project came to
the meeting and attempted to join the team without invitation. This resulted in those individuals being
thanked for their interest, but being told that their participation was not required or desired for the
team. The catalyst for this action was the elimination of non essential team members and the imminent
distraction their interests would impose on the team. This action during the forming stage ensured that
the team was built of the essential members necessary to participate on the team, while ensuring the
team was structured to focus only on the directed goals and objectives of the team. As a leader, I
would ensure that team member recruiting and sourcing is deliberate, and that team member guidance
is specific on who is being sourced to join the team. The second stage of the team development
process is the storming phase. During the storming phase, personal or organizational interests,
agendas, and personalities are introduced into the team (Schermerhorn Bachrach, 2015). During this
phase, tension, hostility, anger, and infighting among the

The Video Is A Music Video
Me!Me!Me! is a music video and animated short that was created for the Japan Animator Expo in
2014, but was released in the US in 2015 through Vimeo with English subtitles. The song in the video
was made by the electronic music artist Teddyloid feat. Daoko, a Japanese singer. The audience of this
video would be all fans of anime and electronic music, i.e. presumably young people who proactively
use electronic devices. The video is set in three main sequences, each revolving around the main
character, a young teenage boy. It follows his dreamy haze of his break up, and his interactions with
idealized, semi human females. My interpretation of this video was that this young man lost all
meaningful relationships in his life because of his unrealistic expectations of women due to
pornography and the representation of women in popular culture, and how his addiction to these forms
of media only made it worse. The purpose of this video is to highlight the issues with unnecessary
sexualization of women, escapism and addiction, as well as heartbreak and regret. This author s intent
was to prove director Hibiki Yoshizaki was an amazing storyteller and animator, and for the video to
gain attention and views, through the use of hyper sexualized imagery. This is shown in the video by
the depiction of women inside his mind as two conflicting personalities, his loving girlfriend, and
nightmarish girls who, as the video description states, attack and ravish him, and the environment they

uses for CFCs ranging from, being used as coolants in refrigerants to propellants for aerosols to being
used as solvents for dry cleaning. As CFCs are non flammable and not very toxic we thought they
were a revolutionary compound, but unfortunately CFCs were one of the leading causes for the
depletion of our ozone layer. ozone is a type of oxygen, an ozone molecule consists of three oxygen
atoms whereas a regular oxygen molecule only consists of two.

The Weimar Republic
Tobin Mayhew Saer
Nazi Germany
Essay #1
February 23, 2016
In 1919 the German people attempted to create a parliamentary democracy with the Weimar Republic.
Born in the ashes of defeat, the Weimar Republic was heavily burdened with failures of the past. For
decades historians have sought to understand why the Weimar Republic failed and if it was doomed to
do so from the start. The answer to this question is very complex as many different factors were
involved. The fait of Weimar Germany was in the hands of many different ideas and forces that caused
its failure which make it very difficult to isolate one or two for being solely responsible for its demise.
Many take one look at Adolf Hitler s Nazi regime and place immediate blame on it ... Show more

A very substantial reason for the failure of the Weimar Republic was the impact of the Great
Depression and the massive inflation that resulted because of it. Finally, with Germany on its knees
begging for a sense of unity and hope, Adolf Hitler and the Nazi regime came to power officially
ending the short lived Weimar Republic. After World War I, Germany signed the peace settlement at
Versailles, France in June of 1919. The severity of the terms caused intense political debates and
division in Germany. A majority of Germans strongly opposed signing the treaty and the left and right
wings had different ideas about how to respond to it. Right wing nationalists like the NSDAP
demanded the government completely renounce the treaty and not comply with its harsh terms. Those
who were more moderate such as the supporters of the Weimar republic scorned this approach, as they
believed it would cause retaliation, economic issues or even war. When the treaty was signed, the
German people felt that they were treated unfairly and a consensus that the Weimar Republic was soft
footed arose. This was the first of many more issues to come. It has been argued that the financial
reparation fees imposed on Germany were too excessive. This burden on the post war economic
situation caused German recovery to be next to impossible. Within three years of the signing of

Pliny s The Alexander Mosaic
The Alexander Mosaic is a Roman floor mosaic that dates from c. 100 B.C. It is discovered in the city
of Pompeii which was preserved in ash after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. It was found in the
House of Faun, named after the bronze statue of a faun found there. It is thought to be possibly based
on a wall painting done in 315 B.C.E., Hellenistic Period by a Greek artist named Philoxenos of
Eretria because it matches a description of the painting written by Pliny.
The mosaic is approximately 2.72 by 5.13 meters (8 feet 11 inches high and 16 feet and 10 inches)
long. It is currently housed in the National Archaeological Museum in Naples, Italy. It consisted of
over one and a half million tesserae (From the Greek word tesseres which means square .), or small
pieces of colored stone and glass, none larger than 4 mm, in four colors: white, yellow, red, and black.
Several of the colors seen in the mosaic are the natural color of the marble pieces. The minuteness of
the tesserae enables noticeably quality detail and painterly outcomes, including noteworthy pics of
Alexander and Darius.

Find a specific niche to target on your college campus, focus on it, and do it well. A broad travel or
comedy channel has been done to death, and the competition is too strong.
Instead, try creating and marketing your channel to your classmates, faculty, and alumni. A channel
that reviews dining hall food, interviews staff, showcases clubs and events, shares breaking campus
news, or recaps parties are all a good place to start. Of course, the more ridiculous, hilarious, and
entertaining your channel is, the better.
Spend a few hours goofing off with friends and making your videos, spread the word, and as views go
up, your bank account will as well.
3. Invest
Investing requires the largest amount of income on this list, but it also takes the least amount of work.
So, if you have some money in the bank but no time on your hands, this may be the passive income
stream for you.
Investing is a broad term that encapsulates many different options. You can buy a rental property (ok,
that s probably not possible for most college students) but you can also think a little smaller.
Sites like Flippa sell websites and blogs that are already up and running and generating an income.
Spend a day reviewing and purchasing one, and start earning a passive income immediately.
You can also invest in the stock market. Read these inspiring must know investor quotes, and then hit

Where Wizards Stay Up Late
Where Wizards Stay up Late
Where Wizards Stay up Late, the Origins of the Internet. Katie Hafner and Matthew Lyon walk us
through the beginnings of the Internet. The authors will talk about how a computer engineering firm
produced the first prototypes of the Arpanet, and how a group of men made the Internet as we know it
today. It tells the intriguing story of how the technology for the Internet was devised. In many
respects, it is very much a behind the scenes kind of documentary.
When thinking about the Internet, one always appears to assume that the development of computer
technology has been driven by a few giants of the industry. Indeed, we always assume that it is the big
people that made it. And yet, the truth is very different. The authors show us how many of the
developments surrounding the Internet were brought about with the support and often the leadership
of the government. Indeed, it was the government funding that made a lot of these realities possible.
Thus, this is basically a case study of what the development of networking achieved.
In the book, we encounter the process of packet switching, which is a technique in which a digital
message is broken up into smaller packets that can be routed separately through a network to their
destination. This is how the Internet was discovered.
The two authors follow the story from the conception of the idea of packet switching in the early
1960s to the creation and development of the Internet. We see how one

Descriptive Essay About My Kitchen
Laughter, sizzling, the clinking of wine glasses and the crunching of chips float down the hallway. The
smell of good food made with cumin and love. The kitchen is a place of joy and family, a place of
sharing our days and silently scarfing Mom s chicken tacos. Many of the greatest moments in my life
have been in my kitchen: cooking pork ribs with my dad and listening to his ridiculous old rock music,
opening my first college acceptance letter, learning we were moving to Munich. Many of the worst
times have been in the kitchen, too.
Uncle Dan died in Thailand.
Bampa s dementia has gotten so much worse.
The beauty of the kitchen is, the bad is overshadowed by the good. The warmth of bread in the oven

calming. It s a place of happy memories and reminders of difficult times, a place of recovery and love
and growth.

heaviness to them are from Botswana. They live in the cabinet above the coffee maker with the matte

The Complex Nature Of Equiano s Identity Crisis
Daniel Miret
HUM3306
29 September 2014
Option Three
The complex nature of Equiano s identity crisis
Equiano presents himself as an African, who is embattled with a myriad of issues enroute to a foreign
land. He starts off as a normal African boy that takes pride in the family unit. His life changes as he is
exposed to a life of slavery that makes him wonder just how far he would go to regain his freedom.
Equaino is celebrated due to his anti slave trade achievements, but rather criticized for a lack of
authenticity in his plight to free the world of slavery. He begins his narrative with a brief insight into
the person he was before being captured. We discover a identity that is in the norm for African society.
He presents himself as an African from Essaka, which is in Eboe, and what is currently referred to as
Nigeria. Equiano was born in 1745 and was a member of the royal family. Moreover, he presents
himself as a common African boy but his family and origins state otherwise. Equiano is engaged in a
family that from the onset practiced its form of slavery through ownership of servants. His father gives
the audience a sense of hypocrisy on Equiano s part when he rebukes slave trade. The identity of the
character Equiano is immediately casted into doubt (Olaudah, 111). In retrospect, the African boy
understood the dangers of abduction and was protected and aware of the incessant threat of capture.
The fact remains that Equiano had his roots entrenched in a

Bhakti And Sufi Movement In Hinduism
Bhakti and Sufi movements came into existence to propagate their own religions in a certain area.
These movements took religion to people in the form of poetry which was more understandable and
relatable to them. The Sufi movement was spreading in Islam; however, Bhakti movements was
spreading Hinduism. In this essay, it will discuss the distinct way in which the Bhakti movement
revived Hinduism between the 5th and 9th century in Tamil Nadu where Tamil language was a
powerful instrument. This period of diversifying Hinduism belonged to the Alwars and Nayanamars. It

Alwar is defined as the one is who is immersed in the divine experience with God. There were 12
Alwars, among them were 11 men and 1 woman who lived during the 5th to the 9th century in the
Tamil speaking sector of South India. They wrote devotional songs and poetry on Vishnu and
travelling from place to place, temple to temple and propagated their devotion to God. Furthermore, it
is important to note that these Alwars all came from different socioeconomic backgrounds. The 12
Alwars, also known as the Vaishnavite saints brought prominence in the Bhakti movement with the
poetry being the Nalayira Divya Prabandham (4000 songs). The names of the Alwars are: Poigai,
Bhutam, Peyalwar, Tirumazhisai, Nammalvar, Periyalvar, Andal, Kulasekaran, Madhurakavi,
Tondaradipodi, Tiruppaan, and ends with Tirumangai. The first three Alwars (Poigai, Bhutam, and
Peyalwar) sang 100 hymns each which were called the Thiruvandadi and is considered to be the
beginning of the Divya Prabandham. Tirumazhisai Alwar was very cognicient of other schools of
thought like Buddhism, Jainism, and Saivism, however he established songs only on Lord Narayana in
his Nanmukan Tiruvandadi which consisted of 96 hymns and the Tirucandaviruttam comprising of
120 hymns and these works of his showed the supremacy of Lord Vishnu against Brahma or Shiva.

Critique Of Cosmological Argument Essay
Paul Edward wrote an article, A Critique of Cosmological Argument which emphasizes his critics on
Aquinas Five Ways. He argues on the argument of the existence of First Cause a member which is not
itself caused by any prior members claimed by Thomas Aquinas. Paul argues that even the argument is
strong and sound, it doesn t proves the existence of God; people can perceives it as the existence of
super powerful being. If finite being exist in the form of infinite being. We as human logically
demands that infinite being to be rational, omnipotent, immaterial and eternal because that s how God

In a sense, I received existence from my dad, and he from his dad, from his dad, from his dad, etc. But
this cannot go to infinity, else the present effect of your existence would not occur. Edwards
fraudulently contends Aquinas is taking ceaselessly the set to demonstrate God. That is not the
situation by any stretch of the imagination. On the off chance that we have an unbounded arrangement
of presence, it is either self brought about, uncaused or it originated from nothing. On the off chance
that self created, it would need to exist ontologically before itself to bring itself into presence which is

This change can be best illustrated by comparison of Figures 1.1 and 1.2 in Appendix 1, wherein the
possible corporate structures may tend to three different values, i.e. cost, differentiation and
responsiveness; Spartan strategy has shifted its focus from a differentiation and responsive model to a
cost effective model.
Job shop method of production to Hybrid method.
The new corporate strategy implies re engineering from a job shop method of production to a hybrid
method of production. The former involved manufacturing operations with several departments, each
of which produced particular components whereas the latter being a flow operation where multiple
stations can work simultaneously. This will mainly allow Spartan to increase volume of production,
reduce lead time and it will further lead in cutting down the carrying cost of inventory, even though
the inventory will be high.
Change in Corporate Culture.
The new strategy will affect the corporate structure of the company. Earlier the work was based on the
specific requirements of the client and it was more of research based but now the focus on research
will be less and it will be more on general requirements. Therefore the type of work would shift.
The present organizational chart of the SC Department in the company includes two buyers, one
material control clerk, one expeditor and two shipper/receivers. This structure was functional to the

Essay about Article 92
Article 92 Good order and Military discipline: The Disciplinary Regulations of the United States
Army define military discipline as a strict and honorable compliance by all servicemen with the order
and rules prescribed by laws, military regulations and orders of commanders (superiors). Military
discipline is a special form of military relations. Its specifics lie in coordinating the conduct and
actions of military personnel and in serving to establish such relations as are required for successful

All enlistees, both as personalities and members of definite service and public structures (including
those with a negative impact on discipline), their relations and degree of activity form in the aggregate
the disciplinary system of an element (unit). Psychological support for troops has emerged as a
necessity because this kind of work can deal, to a considerable extent, with a set of specific
psychological problems arising within disciplinary systems at all levels, not the lower echelons alone,
as is often believed. Occasionally it is just the matter of an enlistee being unprepared for discipline
abiding lifestyle (ignorance of army regulations, orders and regulatory documents). Sometimes,
however, psychological problems stem from clearly expressed anti disciplinary attitudes in some or
other serviceman, which attitudes tend to disorganize military activities, mixing, and off duty routine.
Two groups of disciplinary psychological problems are identified. First, inadequacy (weakness,
instability, incompleteness, and unfinished nature) of individual, group or organizational mechanisms
for normative behavior and control thereof as is revealed by practice; certain enlistees lack the
required disciplinary motivation and/or they cannot behave in an organized way in conformity with
the regulations, rules, laws, and military traditions. Military command and control agencies, for their
part, do not have enough energy and skills to

Imagery In Hamlet By William Shakespeare
Imagery can be defined as the use of vivid descriptions that evoke sense impressions by literal or
figurative reference to distinguishable or actual objects, scenes, actions, or states. Imagery can refer to
the literal landscape or characters described in a narrative or the theoretical concepts an author
employs (OWL). William Shakespeare was an author who frequently used imagery throughout
writings, and this made him among the top authors in the world. In his work of Hamlet, he wrote
about the poison, disease, and decay. This has a deeper meaning than the obvious that would be
assumed after reading that statement. Imagery in writing enables the reader to think deeper to
understand the real meaning of the text. This paper will evaluate the use of imagery of poison, disease,
and decay in Hamlet as written by William Shakespeare.
To begin with, the use of imagery is clearly seen when Marcellus says, something is rotten in the state
of Denmark (Shakespeare 637). He was talking about the tragedy which occurred in Hamlet, the
prince of Denmark. The story of Hamlet is set around the king s place and in Elsinore which is a city
in Denmark. One morning a ghost, which looked like King Hamlet who had recently just passed away,
entered Elsinore Castle. The ghost could only be seen by two guard men of the city. It was believed
that King Hamlet was murdered by his brother Claudius. After Hamlet s death Claudius immediately
succeeded the throne and married the king s widow. The ghost notified the two guard men that there
would be revenge to whoever killed Hamlet and took his wife and that it was the responsibility of the
prince to avenge his father s death.
Again, the rotting is compared to decay to mean that there is a rapid spread of a communicable disease
which is incurable and contaminating the courts and Denmark as a country. Corruption is one of the
diseases in this case as termed by William Shakespeare (Charney 5). It is well known that severe
sickness or disease routinely leads to death which is why he used the image of a disease to portray
these irresponsible aspects of behavior. These descriptions enable the reader to create a picture of the
deplorable relationships among the different characters and the

Most people who bother with the matter at all would admit that the English language is in a bad way,
but it is generally assumed that we cannot by conscious action do anything about it. Our civilization is

follows that any struggle against the abuse of language is a sentimental archaism, like preferring

Setting Tuition and Financial Aid
Setting Tuition and Financial Aid
Managerial Economics
09/15/2013
The idea behind applicants had apparently concluded that if the college cost more, it must be better
(Brickley, Smith, amp; Zimmerman, 2009) is still a premise that society perceived as accurate but the
financial problem behind this idea is if students are not receiving the help needed with a financial aid
increase, it feels that this idea will not hold up very much longer.
Susan s analysis that the increase in tuition fee is likely to increase in the student enrollment and
therefore would be helpful in solving the school s financial problem is absolutely incorrect. Financial
aid is an important factor when students are thinking about applying for a college. ... Show more

The following result associated with increase in the demand for enrolment in other colleges has
convinced the president of Liberal Arts College that increasing tuition fees would lead to an increase
in the quantity demanded. But Susan s analysis is not accurate and the increase in enrollment along
with increase in tuition fee is not because demand curve is upward sloping but because there is just an
increase in demand for enrolment in these prestige colleges. Hence Susan s analysis and suggestion of
increasing the tuition fee and decreasing financial aid should not be accepted.
A college should be recognized by its education and academic levels and not by its costs of
attendance. Susan wants to increase prices to increase revenue and not because the college is investing
on better academic resources and faculty staff. If the college wants to increase total revenue, then they
need to focus on improving the quality of education by having a better faculty staff and study
environment, which ultimately may lead to better job opportunities for student after graduation.

Summary Of Passing By Nella Larsen
Masquerade Clare Kendry s life is nothing more than a masquerade. It is just a show where the
characters plays assigned roles. In the novel Passing by Nella Larsen, Clare, a friend of Irene Redfield,
uses her light skinned color to gain status by passing. The conclusion of Passing demonstrates Clare
Kendry s need to pay for denying and faking her identity. Throughout the novel, Clare acts as a white
woman despite her true identity is actually that of a black. She feels that it is easier to be a white and
uses white as a booster to gain status in her community. Clare expresses her belief that life is not as
hard as a white, You d be surprised, Rene, how much easier that is with white people than with us
(Larsen 25). Clare views white skin as a privilege, or more as like a ticket that gains her access to
resources, and even luxury, she might want. As Clare values social status more heavily than her
inherited identity, she abandons her race to receive a much higher status from the society despite the
stress she had for being exposed. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Hamlet And Macbeth Comparative Essay
Hamlet and Macbeth Comparative Essay Shakespeare s plays were greatly influenced by the beliefs
and order during the Elizabethan era. In fact, most conflicts that occurred on his tragic plays such as
Hamlet and Macbeth are based from the superstitious beliefs back then. In addition, both protagonists
portrayed an ideal hero archetype. However, both Hamlet and Macbeth have major flaws which soon
lead to their own downfall. For instance, both tragic plays portrayed similar aspects of the disturbance
of the natural order, and the representation of the tragic heroes. To justify my argument, I will examine

luxury and damned incest. (Hamlet. I.v.81 83) the quote explains the corruption of the natural order in
which Claudius interrupted to satisfy his own deeds. Moreover, in Shakespeare s time, it is believed
that the disruption of the natural structure could cause serious catastrophe in the society that could
possibly tumble the balance in which God has designed. Furthermore, in Macbeth the appearance of
the three witches caused major catastrophes throughout the play, in which they manipulated Macbeth
to disrupt the natural order. According to this

Most banks have created a separate entity or subsidiary to earn profit from the growing Islamic
banking sector. (Parker, 2011) (Ernst and Young (E Y), 2014) in their latest World Islamic Banking
Competitiveness report (2014), shows the assets of Islamic banks grew at an average rate of 17% per
year between 2008 and 2012. This is two to three times faster than the rate at which conventional
banks grew over the same period. Bank Muamalat provides a full range of Islamic financial services
through its 59 branches nationwide. It has a market share of 4.2% and 5.0% of the domestic Islamic
banking sector s gross financing and total deposits segments respectively as at end March 2014. The

All of Mama s conclusions are made because she has hope that it will help her family in the future.
When she orders people to do things her reasoning is love. When Travis doesn t do his household
chores. Mama will do it, but not because she wants him to be spoiled, but for him experience a nice
life. Adding to that, she does not want Travis to learn how to work at a young age because then he will
never be able undergo that great life. With him not being able to have a nice live might result and his

The Historical Significance Of Communism
How was communism significant?
During the late 1800s, communism has been a form of government that grew out to be successful
throughout time. There was about more than 12 countries who at some point turned communism
during this time. Which overall communism became one of the greatest impacts.
Throughout world history, communism has been practiced in some of the following countries, China,
Laos, North Korea, Vietnam, etc. Communism s significance comes from people s hardships during
the 19th century. But in order to understand more in depth we need to know where it originated from
and what is it exactly.
Origin?
Accordingly, it was founded by Karl Marx and Friedrich Eagles. Marx and Engels felt like capitalism
needed to come to an end because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Communism in this case was the light at the end of the tunnel for those who were in lower class.
However, for the upper class it wasn t. Communism is the idea that everyone in a given society
receives equal shares of the benefits derived from labor This basically means that they are given the
same chance as those who have been given one. In this case, wealth was their main concern in order to
combat their main concpoverty. Therefore, middle class people come to the same life status as the
lower class and there was no longer discrimination. In addition communists believe that the state
should control their economic lives by owning and managing all or most industries They choose to do
this in order for a middle class or anyone owning a business to overpower the others. No one can
outdo anyone else by making more money (Alia Hoyt) Communism s solution was to reduce the
problems that were going on and give a hand to those in need.
What are the effects?
Furthermore communism has led to many effects. For example, things are handled drastically
differently from communism. Capitalism has more freedom and that s something communism wouldn
t want to intervene with. In communism some didn t even have the motivation to become someone
with a good career if they won t be rewarded for it. Another effects was that the Holocaust began in
1933. Genocide happened around where they were mainly getting rid of Jews and others. In order to
monitor them as they would put anyone who opposed Nazis in the concentration camps.

Produce a new look for a website. Essay
Produce a new look for a website.
3.1.2 Formal Report
===================
The problem that was in need of solving was to produce a new look for wow.com to target the 17 to 25
year olds. The look that the company were trying to aim for was young, energetic, dynamic and
flexible.
I firstly set out by comparing some current documents such as flyers, letters and invoices. This helped
me as I could gather the best parts from these documents and use them to give me ideas to create new
ones.
The documents that I selected had to be 3 of a kind that were from three companies with two of a flyer
and a letter.
I the started off by researching and designing a logo for the new look wow.com. I produced four
prototypes of the logo and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I also had to produce a job application form which had to be on the website. I looked on the Internet
for examples of application forms and selected the best ones and took ideas from them. Next
document on the agenda was an invoice. I brought in some invoices and used them to compare and to
help me design mine.
I then had to actually make the website for which wow.com would put their new range on. I created
mine by using an online website builder;
I used this as I don t have much knowledge on building websites. This website had to include a
homepage, an order form and a catalogue. I new what kind of look I was aiming for at the start and I
thing I achieved it.
To help improve my website I created a questionnaire to be answered by the first few customers. This
is so I could make improvements to it straight away and also to satisfy other customer s needs. The
questionnaire had two parts to it, the questions and answers section which was design so that I could
get exactly what I wanted and secondly the tick box section which provided me with what generally
what they thought of the website. I then produced the results and incorporated the improvements into
the final design.
Overall I think what I have produced has been exactly what the company has been looking for and I
feel that they will be happy with what I have given them. All of the stationary is stylish and modern; I

The World s Fair An Attempt By The United States Government
Introduction
In 1904, millions of people visited the Philippine Exhibit at the St. Louis World s Fair, observing the
displays of native Filipinos and leaving with an impression of savagery. However, this impression was
hardly incidental. To what extent was the 1904 World s Fair an attempt by the United States
government to justify its imperialist involvement in the Philippines? This fair was carefully
engineered by the United States government to impart an uncivilized impression of Filipinos onto
American fairgoers, thereby justifying the need for US involvement. This commission was a
committee ordained by the US government to govern the newly acquired Philippine islands. This
portion of the fair would likely not be present if the United ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

By depicting the Filipinos as savages, the Commission hoped to prove that the Filipinos were no
longer resisting American control and that the US government would benevolently assimilate and
civilize the Filipinos. Additionally, the Commission also hoped to attract American capital and
enterprise by displaying the products of its fertile lands and the abundant undeveloped mineral and
timber resources. This essay will investigate the imperialist motivation behind and methods used in
depicting the Filipinos as savages in need of civilization. It will also analyze the fair as a means to
promote American investment the Philippines natural resources.
The Spanish American War
The motives behind the conception of the 1904 exhibition are rooted in the United States diplomacy
around and during the Spanish American War in 1898. In the preceding decade, the United States
continually attempted to exert its influence over Spanish controlled Cuba. Although Spain had
political control over Cuba, the United States had long been interested in annexing Cuba. This interest
was initially sparked by commerce. By 1820, trade between the U.S. and Cuba had become so
prevalent that many American politicians expected Cuba to become a part of the Union or an
appendage to it. However, the rise of Cuban nationalism became an obstacle, as in 1898, Cuban
revolutionaries began a three year revolt against the Spanish colonial government. This threatened the
United States economic ties with Cuba. In

  • 3. Hans Use Of Political And Social Themes Hans Haacke has been characterized as among some of the most revolutionary and controversial contemporary and conceptual artists of all time. Haacke s works are generally simply constructed yet exquisitely permeated with depth and importance through his integration of social, political, and environmental issues in his pieces that give them a voice they would otherwise lack. In the following essay, we will seek to understand just how Hans Haacke s use of political and social themes causes his work to resonate with audiences on the scale it has done. When gazing upon the vast expanse of art history, it becomes evident that the greatest and most influentially revolutionary individuals are not those that dabble in the popular and well studied styles of old. Those who are great flee from average and explore uncharted new territories. The individuals that choose to really set themselves apart from the rest of art culture are those who branch out in totally new directions. Those who delve into new ideas and new ways of expressing themselves through mediums and styles few have trodden upon. Hans Haacke has cemented himself in history as one of these influential and revolutionary individuals. His pioneering work of a conceptual nature was unparalleled and unmatched by his competitors at its conception. Hans Haacke was born August 12, 1936 in the little town of Cologne, Germany. After World War I, Germany signed the peace settlement at Versailles, France in June of 1919. The severity of the terms caused intense political debates and division in Germany. A majority of Germans strongly opposed signing the treaty and the left and right wings had different ideas about how to respond to it. Right wing nationalists like the NSDAP demanded the government completely renounce the treaty and not comply with its harsh terms. Those who were more moderate such as the supporters of the Weimar republic scorned this approach, as they believed it would cause retaliation, economic issues or even war. • 26. Where Wizards Stay Up Late Where Wizards Stay up Late Where Wizards Stay up Late, the Origins of the Internet. Katie Hafner and Matthew Lyon walk us through the beginnings of the Internet. The authors will talk about how a computer engineering firm produced the first prototypes of the Arpanet, and how a group of men made the Internet as we know it today. It tells the intriguing story of how the technology for the Internet was devised. In many respects, it is very much a behind the scenes kind of documentary. When thinking about the Internet, one always appears to assume that the development of computer technology has been driven by a few giants of the industry. Indeed, we always assume that it is the big people that made it. And yet, the truth is very different. The authors show us how many of the developments surrounding the Internet were brought about with the support and often the leadership of the government. Indeed, it was the government funding that made a lot of these realities possible. Thus, this is basically a case study of what the development of networking achieved. In the book, we encounter the process of packet switching, which is a technique in which a digital message is broken up into smaller packets that can be routed separately through a network to their destination. This is how the Internet was discovered. The two authors follow the story from the conception of the idea of packet switching in the early 1960s to the creation and development of the Internet. Many of the greatest moments in my life have been in my kitchen: cooking pork ribs with my dad and listening to his ridiculous old rock music, opening my first college acceptance letter, learning we were moving to Munich. Many of the worst times have been in the kitchen, too. Uncle Dan died in Thailand. Bampa s dementia has gotten so much worse. The beauty of the kitchen is, the bad is overshadowed by the good. • 28. The Complex Nature Of Equiano s Identity Crisis Daniel Miret HUM3306 29 September 2014 Option Three The complex nature of Equiano s identity crisis Equiano presents himself as an African, who is embattled with a myriad of issues enroute to a foreign land. He starts off as a normal African boy that takes pride in the family unit. His life changes as he is exposed to a life of slavery that makes him wonder just how far he would go to regain his freedom. Equaino is celebrated due to his anti slave trade achievements, but rather criticized for a lack of authenticity in his plight to free the world of slavery. He begins his narrative with a brief insight into the person he was before being captured. We discover a identity that is in the norm for African society. He presents himself as an African from Essaka, which is in Eboe, and what is currently referred to as Nigeria. Equiano was born in 1745 and was a member of the royal family. Moreover, he presents himself as a common African boy but his family and origins state otherwise. Equiano is engaged in a family that from the onset practiced its form of slavery through ownership of servants. His father gives the audience a sense of hypocrisy on Equiano s part when he rebukes slave trade. The identity of the character Equiano is immediately casted into doubt (Olaudah, 111). In retrospect, the African boy understood the dangers of abduction and was protected and aware of the incessant threat of capture. The fact remains that Equiano had his roots entrenched in a ... Its specifics lie in coordinating the conduct and actions of military personnel and in serving to establish such relations as are required for successful joint activity. All enlistees, both as personalities and members of definite service and public structures (including those with a negative impact on discipline), their relations and degree of activity form in the aggregate the disciplinary system of an element (unit). Psychological support for troops has emerged as a necessity because this kind of work can deal, to a considerable extent, with a set of specific psychological problems arising within disciplinary systems at all levels, not the lower echelons alone, as is often believed. Occasionally it is just the matter of an enlistee being unprepared for discipline abiding lifestyle (ignorance of army regulations, orders and regulatory documents). Sometimes, however, psychological problems stem from clearly expressed anti disciplinary attitudes in some or other serviceman, which attitudes tend to disorganize military activities, mixing, and off duty routine. Two groups of disciplinary psychological problems are identified. First, inadequacy (weakness, instability, incompleteness, and unfinished nature) of individual, group or organizational mechanisms for normative behavior and control thereof as is revealed by practice; certain enlistees lack the required disciplinary motivation and/or they cannot behave in an organized way in conformity with the regulations, rules, laws, and military traditions. • 35. Imagery In Hamlet By William Shakespeare Imagery can be defined as the use of vivid descriptions that evoke sense impressions by literal or figurative reference to distinguishable or actual objects, scenes, actions, or states. Imagery can refer to the literal landscape or characters described in a narrative or the theoretical concepts an author employs (OWL). William Shakespeare was an author who frequently used imagery throughout writings, and this made him among the top authors in the world. In his work of Hamlet, he wrote about the poison, disease, and decay. This has a deeper meaning than the obvious that would be assumed after reading that statement. Imagery in writing enables the reader to think deeper to understand the real meaning of the text. This paper will evaluate the use of imagery of poison, disease, and decay in Hamlet as written by William Shakespeare. To begin with, the use of imagery is clearly seen when Marcellus says, something is rotten in the state of Denmark (Shakespeare 637). He was talking about the tragedy which occurred in Hamlet, the prince of Denmark. The story of Hamlet is set around the king s place and in Elsinore which is a city in Denmark. One morning a ghost, which looked like King Hamlet who had recently just passed away, entered Elsinore Castle. The ghost could only be seen by two guard men of the city. It was believed that King Hamlet was murdered by his brother Claudius. After Hamlet s death Claudius immediately succeeded the throne and married the king s widow. The ghost notified the two guard men that there would be revenge to whoever killed Hamlet and took his wife and that it was the responsibility of the prince to avenge his father s death. Again, the rotting is compared to decay to mean that there is a rapid spread of a communicable disease which is incurable and contaminating the courts and Denmark as a country. Corruption is one of the diseases in this case as termed by William Shakespeare (Charney 5). It is well known that severe sickness or disease routinely leads to death which is why he used the image of a disease to portray these irresponsible aspects of behavior. These descriptions enable the reader to create a picture of the deplorable relationships among the different characters and the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Hence Susan s analysis and suggestion of increasing the tuition fee and decreasing financial aid should not be accepted.
