Product
 A product is either a physical inventory item
(such as lumber or a nail), or a service (such as
a haircut or tree pruning) that a company sells.
Products from the product catalog can be used
to build quotes and orders, and can be
associated with opportunities or service cases.
In addition, each product can contain links to
sales literature and links to information about
competitors and their products. A product
catalog is a collection of products with their
pricing information.
Discount
 Discounts enable a product to have different
sales prices, depending on the quantity
purchased.
 A discount list is an aggregation of different
discounts, specifying how much of a discount
the user can receive when the purchasing
amount falls between certain ranges. Discount
lists can exist at each quantity level, together
with detail lines that contain the quantity
breakpoints, and the reduction in the price.

Unit Group
 A compilation of the different measurements
that a product is available in. A unit group
contains the base unit in which a product is
available, for example, a two-liter. It then lists
all the different increments that this base unit
is packaged in for sale, such as an individual
two-liter bottle or a case of 6 two-liter bottles,
and also indicates which measurement is the
primary unit.

Product
 List Price: This is the 'listed' price. You may
still choose to have markup over it - which can
be defined in the pricing method.
 Current Cost: This is the current cost of an
item, which is usually updated each time a
new shipment is received.
 Standard Cost: This is the standard cost of an
item, which is updated periodically, but not
necessarily each time a new shipment is
received. It is not equal to the actual cost of
the item.
 Here’s how each of the costs would affect the
pricing. Let's say your product has the
following prices:-
 List price - 100$
Current Cost - 30$
Standard cost - 20$
No discount list.

 A sale is the act of selling a product or service
in return for money or other compens.ation

 In Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, a lead entity
represents an individual that is identified as
someone who is interested in receiving
specific information about the products or
services offered by the company.
 The information is provided to a lead by a
salesperson through email or other
communication activities. A lead is used to
track contacts or accounts that are potential
customers, but who have not yet been
qualified.

A formal offer for products

A confirmed request for

 An order that has been billed. It
is also a record of a sale to an
account, including details
about the products or services
purchased.

  • 2. Product  A product is either a physical inventory item (such as lumber or a nail), or a service (such as a haircut or tree pruning) that a company sells. Products from the product catalog can be used to build quotes and orders, and can be associated with opportunities or service cases. In addition, each product can contain links to sales literature and links to information about competitors and their products. A product catalog is a collection of products with their pricing information.
