Lesson Plan Activities and assignment. Evaluation This part emphasizes on writing skill, especially on description.  Language skill 6 Posters, 1website and examples. Materials 50 minutes Time 20 Numbers of students 1.14~17(They have learn English for 3 or 4 years) 2.500-600 vocabulary level The age of students Students will understand how to say horoscopes, and write simple articles to describe one’s personalities in English .   Goals
Warm up   (5 minutes) The teacher shows 3 vivid posters of 12 horoscopes on blackboard to attract students  interest  to concentrate on the course.  Asking  students: “Which one is your  horoscope? ” Then students have to try to  answer it or point out it. The teacher will  teach the names of horoscope in English and  Chinese.

Procedure 1   (10minutes) Horoscopes and Birthday of students’  family member. Teacher will ask students to write down  Birthday and horoscope of their family. i.e(1): My father’s birthday is  May 16 . My brother’s horoscope is a  Taurus .
Procedure 2   (10minutes) Then teacher asks students to think  about the personalities of their family for  5 minutes. Then teaching students some vocabulary  about personalities with poster 4~6.
Poster 4 hardworking stubborn romantic adventurous
Poster 5 Stingy creative Responsible for family helpful
Poster 6 neat friendly secretive dishonest
Procedure 3   (10minutes) The teacher will teach students to use those  vocabulary which on posters to  describe  themselves and their families. i.e: My mother is  stubborn , and my father is  neat .
Activity  (10minutes) Asking students to describe themselves and  family by using vocabulary they have  learned in class. The description would be  included birthday, horoscope, and characteristics. i.e: My birthday is January 16. I’m a  Capricorn, but I don’t think I am  hardworking.
Assignment  (5minutes) The teacher will ask students to choose two  of their family members to describe them  with “five simple sentences” ,and  make  them into a simple article. Students have to  hand in the article on next class.
