Rope access is a method of working at heights using ropes for access, work positioning, and fall protection. It was developed from climbing techniques and provides an alternative to scaffolding. There are three levels of rope access technicians based on their training and certification. Hazards include falls, dropped objects, and adverse weather. Controls include competent staff, rescue plans, inspections, and wind speed monitoring. During Ramadan, Muslims fast during daylight hours which can increase fatigue and risk of accidents. Both Muslims and non-Muslims should be respectful of different religious practices and needs during this time.
