EXPERIENCE
2014 – 2016 – Senior Human Resources Generalist – C&W Services (Former DTZ) –Puerto Rico and Florida,
USA– (1,000 to 1,200 employee workforce) - Support Managers and Regional Directors as a consultant in
human resources, for a facilities management’s company. Administered HR for, but not limited to, industries
like universities, pharmaceuticals and airports. Coordinated and performed trainings in areas like Equal
Employment Opportunity, discrimination, sexual harassment, as well as safety. Performed investigations and
recommended actions to be taken regarding employee relations and discrimination.
2012- 2014 – Sales and Technical Support - Easy Payroll, San German, Puerto Rico – In charge of the selling
duties of our payroll solutions. Design and conduct trainings for new and actual customers, as required. Support
customers with technical issues, including but not limited to update programs, restore databases and create
payroll and tax returns.
2003 – 2014 - Adjunct Professor – Inter American University, San German, Puerto Rico and Universidad del
Este, Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico – Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Accounting, Personnel
Management, H.R. Management, Compensation, Labor Relations, and Human Relations, as well as Industrial
and International Management.
2004 – 2010 - Human Resources Generalist – Westernbank, Puerto Rico (1,400 to 1,500 employee work force)
– Administer H.R. services for 52 branches. Coordinated employee services of recruitment and selection,
performance management, interpretation and enforcement of policies and procedures, regulatory and
compliance issues, new hire orientation, benefits programs, compensation, disability, workers compensation,
leave of absences, discipline/terminations and statistical reports (hiring, attrition, and others). Offered guidance
to managers and associates related to associate relations, communication, discrimination, internal policies,
commonwealth labor law and similar issues. Reviewed job descriptions and performance evaluations.
Performed exit interviews.
2000 – 2002 - Director of Human Resources – Dr. Pila Hospital, Puerto Rico (560 employee workforce) –
Directed HR services and supervised HR staff for a general medicine hospital. Administered seven collective
bargaining agreements for two on-site labor unions, directed labor negotiations, reviewed internal employee
grievances, and engaged in conflict resolution, mediation and arbitration with internal and external parties and
participated in hospital accreditation process. Represented the hospital in the Anti-Discrimination Unit of the
local Department of Labor. Coordinated and implemented employee services, terminations, FMLA, COBRA
and other services. Managed to improve the working environment and labor relations.
1999 – 2000 -Director of Human Resources – San Carlos Hospital and Buen Samaritano Hospital, Puerto Rico
(700 combined employee workforce) – Directed the H.R. departments of both Hospitals providing all H.R.
services. Directed and oversaw the administrative acquisition and further separation of the hospitals. Conduct
effective, objective, and thorough investigations to resolve associate relations issues and grievances. Attended
and testified representing the company in the National Labor Relations Board, wining a case of discrimination.
