Human Resources Specialist
Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is one of the largest nonprofit organizations that provides
substance abuse and behavioral health treatment at 22 locations in Arizona. Community
Bridges pride themselves on offering comprehensive, medically integrated behavioral health
programs which include prevention, education and treatment services using cutting edge,
nationally recognized treatment models. I was hired to assist with the Southern Territory which
included Casa Grande, Avondale, Benson and finally adding on Tucson, Arizona with all
aspects of bringing on new employees, entering them in the payroll system known as
Inflections. Conducted background checks, making job offers, FMLA, Workers Comp,
investigations and terminations.
 Assisted bi-weekly orientation for all new hires.
 Collected all information to process thru E-Verify and payroll.
 Assisted with the merge of 175 employees from a similar non-profit behavior health
facility in Tucson, AZ to Community Bridges. Providing all applicants their job
description, benefits and pay offer. This was an extensive operation to talk to each
applicant on a one to one basis and to answer all their questions to make the transition
to our company as painless as possible.

Human Resources Generalist (Hired November 2010 to August 2016)
I was hired on as a temp to fill in for Payroll Specialist and the HR Generalist jobs while the
employees were out on FMLA. I was hired on permanent in November when the HR Generalist
decided not to return. Performed a full range of human resources functions to include the
processing of new hires that included background checks, e-verify, drug testing and
fingerprinting. Serviced 470 employee database. Data entry of all new hires and terms in
Paycom payroll system. Prior to Paycom, employer had ADP Payroll. Processed employee
benefits, employee orientation, assisting with the training of employees and employee relations.
A thorough knowledge of the practices and procedures in the use and function of human
