II SWOT Analysis
Introduction
In the business world today, there is nothing more constant than change. As such, most businesses
would do well to pay attention to what is going on around them in order to assess anything that may
be deemed a threat or a possible opportunity. A common practice in assessing this may be performed
utilizing a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) Analysis, which may be beneficial
during the planning process and when designing and refining business strategy (Helms Nixon, 2010).
As most large organizations perform a SWOT on a regular basis, it is also noted that entrepreneurs
have been successfully utilizing this tool as well (Ames Runco, 2005).

Crossfit Persuasive Essay
In 2010, Reebok signed an exclusive agreement with CrossFit, becoming the exclusive supplier of
footwear, apparel and accessories for the fitness brand.
There s a change in the fitness world that comes from the idea that fitness can be a sport with all the
elements we love in traditional sports. President Reebok Uli Becker [source]
Reebok s strategy is designed to change the way people perceive, define and experience fitness and
achieve the ambition to bring fitness into the world and be considered the most suitable society in the

There are CrossFit coaches and gyms located all over the world for anyone who wants a taste of semi
hardcore fitness. CrossFit s great appeal lies in their common mindset, where members engage in
group workouts, encouraging zealous CrossFitters companions to push their limits every time.
Crossfit also has a large presence on social media and is a worldwide hit on platforms such as
Facebook and Instagram. Crossfitters regularly use social media to share their workouts for the day,
sharing and commenting on how they embrace the daily routine. aange Chris Froio, vice president of
Reebok Western Europe, told Marketing Week that the partnership has surpassed the wildest dreams in
terms of popularity and consumption with the consumer and allowed him to interact with the global
Crossfit community through the great distribution, social and digital activity .
As we often say, happy customers are the best form of advertising. What else is a group of happy
customers who are heavy social media users? Reebok seems to have hit a goldmine in their
collaboration with Crossfit, turning to a group of consumers who often publish photos with their tools,

Role Of Discipline In The Uniformed Public Service
Need for and role of discipline in the uniformed public service Discipline is the quality of being able
to behave and work in a controlled way which involves obeying particular rules or standards.
However, it can be interpreted in an alternative way; if you refer to an activity or situation as a
discipline, you mean that, in order to be successful in it, you need to behave in a strictly controlled
way and obey particular rules or standards. Punishment can be used to correct disobedience in some
circumstances. Rank Hierarchy in UK Police: Police Constable Sergeant Inspector Chief Inspector

With rules and regulations put in place, it allows individuals to understand what is acceptable and
what cannot be justified. For example, a rule has been strictly put into place stating that every public
service worker is forbidden from consuming any amount of alcohol whilst on duty or before shift.
This can be appropriately justified due to any uniformed public service worker under the influence of
alcohol having a disorientated mind set because of alcohol having negative effects and affecting
different aspects on an individual s physical and mental wellbeing. In addition, an alternative
justification would be regarding the fact that those within the public service are required to serve and
protect public citizens, as well as enforce laws. For example, if a police officer was caught in the
action of drunk driving and pulled over a member of the public for the same offense, this would
contradict the police officers actions and he will not be able to fully justify himself as to why he had
committed those actions. Society is maintained and ordered with rules and regulations put into place,
which are enforced by those within the uniformed public services. With laws that prove actions such
as murder are illegal; all those who work within the uniformed public service attempt to prevent
murder occurring in society and create a safer environment, and aiming to detain those who do go
against the law ensuring they serve a correct sentence

Media s Impact on Politics Essay
Here in America, we try to pay close attention to everything that goes on in the government. Whatever
decision they make we want to know when, where, why, and how. This is because whatever decision
that they make will determine what will happen with this country as a whole in the long run. So what
is the best way to find out what s going on with our government? Why the media of course. The media
plays a major part in every aspect of the government including what happens in elections, the
reporting of major military operations and how the American people will react to certain political
situations or scandals. Here are some the ways that the media affects the way we think when it comes
to the government.
The Right to Laugh: Media Satire ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One recent case where the mass media poked fun at and satirized the government was the year 2000
election. In the time where ballots and votes became confused and the state of Florida became the
punch line to many a water cooler joke, shows such as the ones above took the story and ran with it.
From the very beginning the satire of political figures played its role in the election. According to the
Washington Post and the Pew Research Center, 47 percent of Americans under the age of 30 receive
around 26% of their information about candidates, amongst other political matters, through late night
comedy television. This trend has been labeled by many Infotainment. The viewers are receiving
information about political issues and their government, but through a sarcastic or humorous filter that
creates a different culture of informed citizens.
When the poll results in the 2000 election came in, the jokes seemed to last longer than the re counts.
Even now 3 years later the jokes continue to be evoked. Recently at the academy awards, while on
stage to receive his academy award for his very humorous gun control documentary Bowling for
Columbine Michael Moore called George W. Bush a fictitious president while following with jokes
about the pope and the Dixie chicks.

Persuasive Essay On Obamacare
Obamacare is one of the most talked about and debated issues of the century. Republicans want it
repealed. Democrats want it to thrive. It s effectiveness is not determined by politics, but by positive
results. The vision of Obamacare is to provide healthcare for all Americans. The legislation provides
the tools and framework to allow this ambitious goal of Obamacare to be met. Now, three years after
its start date, it s clear these goals are well on the way to being achieved. Obviously, in a free society,
there will be those who disagree and will not sign up for healthcare for various reasons. Despite these
people who disagree, the vast majority of Americans are now insured. Obamacare is effective because
it expands overall health benefits, provides coverage for millions, and helps the economy, allowing
Americans to be healthier, live longer, and out of medical debt. The primary purpose of Obamacare is
to provide access to healthcare to all Americans. Since it was implemented three years ago, it has
succeeded in adding many Americans to the roles of the insured. In addition, the insurance provided is
not a watered down version of health care. Each person insured is guaranteed a minimum of 10
essential health benefits.
The 10 essential health benefits were carefully crafted to insure that Americans receive quality health
care. The 10 essential benefits are ambulatory patient services (outpatient services), emergency

Graphic Incognito Analysis
According to article Graphic Incognito , writer Mark Owens says that modernism exported to America
through Bauhaus, which was a European movement that came around World War 2. The movement in
America took shape in the 1980s with the influence of a new cultural era that was personified in
different mediums, especially in music. He argues that certain modernist design tactics were adopted
by suburban kids raised during the Reagan era in the early 1980s that were in the post punk, hardcore,
underground music scene. First of all, he begins his essay with a quote from Paul Rand about how
timeless principles were the only hope to achieve a style of quality in one s work. In this essay, Mark
Owens collocate the theoretical principals ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

A Research On Public Relations
Public relations is one of the most important tools marketers have to help them foster goodwill about a
company or product. Not only can public relations be used to promote goodwill, it can also serve as
the main defensive tool against a scandal or company issue. With consumers more connected to news
through social media channels than ever before, public relations has taken on a new importance for
companies who want to isolate themselves from as much bad press as possible. Companies who fail at
public relations, on any level, leave themselves open to numerous issues that will have negative
impacts on their sales, performance and customer perception.
Personally, I am not very likely to discuss brands or products with my peers or family members as it
isn t something that I generally bring into my conversations. One recent situation where I brought up
and discussed a brand with some of my friends was after purchasing Stacy s Pita Chips for the first
time. Having really enjoyed the product, I felt confident recommending it to my friends and
suggesting it to them for future purchases. Having a really positive experience is the main reason that I
wanted to go out and share my experience with other people. Whether it was superior service, an
excellent product, or just a generally positive experience, any of these aspects are key to my personal
desire to share or discuss a brand with my peers.
The opposite is also true, as I am also very likely to bring up a brand or product when

Functionalism And The Sociological Perspective On War
Joseph Valdez
Sociology 100
Professor McCune
August 12, 2017
Sociological Perspective on War War has been going on just about as long as people have been alive.
Whether it is just some cavemen fighting over a fire, or multiple countries going to war for justice,
there has always been some scale of war. I am going to be analyzing way through functionalist,
conflict, and symbolic interactionist perspectives.
Functionalism is a theory of the mind in contemporary philosophy, developed largely as an alternative
to both the identity theory of mind and behaviorism. Its main idea is that mental states are constituted
solely by their functional role. The conflict perspective views the social world as difficult unfair and
unreasonable. This perspective is typically more pessimistic. Symbolic interactionism is a theory that
develops from practical considerations and that alludes to people s particular utilization of dialect to
make images, normal implications, for deduction and correspondence with others.
The three major sociological perspectives offer some very different views of war and terrorism. They
each have their own opinions and stances that may be controversial, but they all give unique views on
war, past and present. Functionalism emphasizes the usefulness of certain behaviors and social
institutions for many aspects of society. Conflict perspective utilizes the idea of peace, and how war is
a negative thing all around. Symbolic interactionist perspectives can use war as

Pursuing Graphic Design

interested in getting into graphic designing is because from my own experiences one of my attributes
that best describes me is creative. Why this career path appeals to me is because this line of work
involves a lot of creativity that requires you to create designs that are very satisfying. In order to create
something that speaks to a specific group of people you need to be able to manipulate photographs and

Five Stages of Grief
Grief is an emotion that we have which is very complex and often misunderstood. Unfortunately, grief
is something that we all will experience in our lives at one time or another. We will all experience loss
in our lives. The stages of grief are the same whether it be through the death of a loved one, divorce,
or some other loss. There are five stages of grief. It is said that if we get stuck in one of the stages, the
process of grieving is not complete, and cannot be complete. This means that a person will not
complete the entire healing process when there is a loss in their life. A person must go through all five
stages of grief to be well again, and to fully heal. Not everyone goes through the stages at the same
time. It is different for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These plans are now gone after a loss. We feel an incredible lack of control, and we may even feel
numb. Perhaps feelings of suicide may overcome an individual. I obviously feel that family and
friends need to be with the person that has experienced a loss, but in this stage more than any of the
other stages family and friends must be close. There have been many cases where someone has
experienced a loss, and then that person ends up taking their own life. This is the most tragic thing that
I can think of. Now we have two horrible losses to deal with, and I sure don t think that this helps
anyone in any way. Depression is normal throughout a loss, but not when it is taken to the level of
suicide. I think that if enough family and friends are always available to help the person most dealing
with the loss then this sort of thing can be avoided. The fifth and final stage of grief is acceptance. It
must be noted that there is a difference between resignation and acceptance. A person must accept the
loss, not just try to bear it quietly. There must be realization that the person is gone when they die.
People must realize that it is not their fault, and that their loved one did not leave them on purpose. It
is said that even in cases of suicide often the deceased person was not in their right frame of mind.
Acceptance must also occur when going through a divorce. There must be realization that it takes two

Tea Drinking During The Late Ming Period
Water tasting has become a special skill among the tea drinkers during the Ming era, and this ability
was utilized by many scholar officials to demonstrate their sensual sensitivity and the sophistication of
their taste. In the late Ming period, the importance of water choice was still emphasized by tea experts
in their tea books and essays. On one hand, good water can help diffusing the scent of tea; on the other
hand, unsuitable and low quality water would destroy the taste and smell of tea, or would be even
harmful to drinkers health. Xu Cishu (1549 1604?), a well known tea expert who was raised in a
scholar official family in Hangzhou during the late Ming Dynasty, had concluded, Fine tea contains

When mediocre tea leaves meet the best water, tea became the best; however, mediocre water with the
best tea leaves only results in mediocre tea. Above quotations are some representative examples of
describing the relationship between water and tea. They have shown that, the evaluation of tea as a
drink always goes along with the quality of water during the late Ming period. Tracing back to the
Tang Dynasty, drinking water has already played an important role in tea drinking; however, the
understandings of water, including the taste of water and the relationship between water and tea were
much simpler, because the flavor of water had not been stressed by tea experts yet. When Lu Yu (733
804?), known as the Sage of Tea, was writing The Classic of Tea in 760s, he had already noticed the
importance of the quality of water in tea drinking. In the fifth chapter of this classic, he had
categorized drinking water into three types and ranked them by their connections with tea.

Edo Period Research Paper
There was once a time in Japan called the Edo period this was a period where Japan was ruled under
the Tokugawa Shogunates, a feudal military government. Japan had a stable population, and a popular
enjoyment of art and culture. However, they had an uncompromising policy prohibiting any foreign
contact, ultimately making it completely isolated from the western world. There was also a strict
social order, where everyone knew their status. Emperors and high nobilities had invulnerable
prestige, but were weak in power. The shogun and daimyō, on the other hand, were very powerful due
to their relation to the Tokugawa. This period began in 1603 and ended in 1868, when Tokugawa
Yoshinobu resigned this was the beginning of the Meiji Restoration, the name meaning the restoration
of power to emperors. Meiji Tennō (personal name Mutsuhito) was born on November 3, 1852, in
Kyoto, Japan. His father was Emperor Kōmei, the 121st emperor, therefore making Meiji the heir to
the throne. Meiji grew up during the Edo period and, along with the group that overthrew the
Tokugawa s, wanted to create a modernised nation with a strong economic system, as Japan was too

Frequent Roofing Problems
Maintaining your roof is one of the most important responsibilities as a
homeowner. The roof protects your home and without a well maintained roof you
could be in serious trouble. Many homeowners often neglect their roofs without
even knowing it; they usually glance at it for a few seconds and move on without
much thought of it. A common problem is that homeowners believe that they can
easily spot an issue on the roof without inspection. That method is not reliable at all,

A roof is meant to protect your home
from water damage and other weather elements. There are a variety of reasons as
to why a roof leak occurs. It could be improper installation of the roof, worn down
roofing materials, and storm damage among other things. When the roof is
compromised with a leak, it is urgent to detect the source immediately and have it
quickly repaired or replaced to reduce further damage. As soon as you see a drop hit
the floor from the ceiling, it should be inspected right away.
Another roof problem is storm damage. In Oklahoma, weather is almost
always the number one enemy that attacks your roof. Whether it is tornado, hail, or
wind damage, any weather damage can cause major roofing destruction. Following
any weather events, it is key to have a roofing specialist come out and inspect for
any damage. Even if you do not suspect damage, there is always the possibility of a
hidden problem arising in the future. Most importantly, the window to file an
insurance claim for weather damage is not always open for very long. Thus why
immediate attention to your roof should be first priority after a storm.

species were doing into danger (which they still are) and global warming is effecting their homes
which will cause the endangered animals to become extinct.

Elie Wiesel s My Hero
There are many views on what a hero is. When you hear the word hero, what is the first thing that
comes to mind? Do you imagine Superman saving a damsel in distress, perhaps you think of a family
member, or a popstar? Over time the word hero has mutated and become disfigured, so that our
generation has no idea what it truly means. So, what is a hero and is it healthy to give them our
adoration?
In the article, My Hero: Extraordinary People on the Heroes Who Inspire Them by Elie Wiesel, the
author expresses his opinion on the idea of heroes. Wiesel starts off by stating, I am deeply skeptical
about the very concept of the hero for many reasons and I am uncomfortable with what happens in

Weisel thinks that people blindly believe in their heroes without knowing them, or what they stand for.
Jack rises to power, because the other boys need someone or something to believe in. Jack knows this,
so he takes advantage of the situation. He says, I ought to be chief, because I m chapter chorister and
head boy. I can sing C sharp (William Golding 23). The choir boys have already experienced so much
change, so they need to have a constant in their lives. Jack was already their leader before, so they
decide to follow him. At the time, the boys had no idea Jack stood for savagery, but when they find out
it s too late to turn back. The boys are already hooked by Jack, so they decide to stand by him. Jason s
opinion that heroes aren t that special, is true. Jack, leader of the choir boys, and Ralph, leader of all
the others, were just normal boys too. These two boys were just put in abnormal positions.
I believe both men have an ineffectual point in their essays. It would be difficult to go through this
world without believing in heroes. Heroes give strength and encourage people. Yes, I agree people
need to know their heroes, and understand their motives. It s not safe to give strangers blatant
idolization. With worship and idolization comes power. I also agree that our heroes are not all that
special. They are still people like us, and they make mistakes. Furthermore, there is still an importance
in having heroes.

In conclusion, teenagers especially in this modern age revolving technology, vast field of knowledge
and touch of the fingertips information access, faces a lot of stresses in all aspects of life. Instead of
putting more pressure on them, those people around them should give them morale support and try

his hotel in Navasota, Texas where he will spend a few days recovering. I ve got a broken shoulder but
it s not really that bad it doesn t require surgery. McGhee said he had minor bruises and scrapes and
was kind of sore but intends to continue his journey around the perimeter of the United States that he

Vocation In The Christian Worldview Of The Puritans
The pillars of constitutional liberty are self government, private property, representative government,
and limited government. Self government speaks of the individual who attributes common good to
society and does not harm society through selfish actions. Vocation in the Christian worldview
develops political liberty through the practice of self government (Samson, 1994). James Madison
thought that the larger the society...the more duly capable it will be to self govern (Madison, 1788).
The New England Puritans through practicality needed certain functions such as common defense to
be attended to thus, they created political covenants. These political covenants gave them the
opportunity for self government in these vocations and helped develop modern federalism providing
for unity and diversity to flourish (Samson S. A., 1993). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
1). Through these concepts democracy has enhanced the lives of many people throughout the world. It
promotes individual liberty and with individual liberty a person is allowed freedom of expression,
freedom of conscience, and freedom to own private property (Lynn Jones). Representative
government is the ideal type of polity, it allows for the improvement of the polity. People are able to
engage with their government and are not just passive recipients. The government by design has to
respond to the people and promote the public interest. The responsibility is on the people to be
attentive, capable of taking action when needed, and to have wise judgement as to the actions of its

Persuasive Essay On Art Theft
Research Paper The Nazis hid, destroyed and plundered thousands of pieces of art and literature; the
number is so high that experts cannot accurately estimate the amount of art stolen. The art theft,
instigated by the Nazis under Hitler s order, began six years before the second World War had even
started ( Documents Region, City, and Countryside 1). In response to the growing number of artwork
being stolen and destroyed, special commissions were formed to protect the art. The Nazis plundering
and destroying art was beneficial in the way that it united countless people from all over the world
against the destruction of the priceless art, which led to the creation of international art protection
programs and gained funding and support from the public and the government. Adolf Hitler, before he
began the notorious German regime in 1919, had aspirations to be an artist. He applied to the Vienna
Academy of Fine Arts in 1907; his aspirations to become an artist did not become a reality as his
application to the art school was rejected. This motivated his hatred towards degenerate art, a type of
art that was described as modern; Hitler was known to describe it as Jewish or communist in nature.
Hitler pushed the classical art ideal, in which the only type of art allowed to be showcased in museums
were classical pieces from artists such as Phidias and Picasso (Campbell 1). As the German regime
began to gain wealth and power, the Nazis were ordered to begin to contact art

Trail Of Tears Essay
Trail of Tears The Trail of Tears is a name given to the Cleansing and forced relocation of Native
American nations from Southeastern parts of United States following the Indian Removal Act of 1830.
The phrase originated from a description of removal of the Choctaw Nation in 1831. We Cherokee
Indians have lived in our lands for centuries. The white setters forcefully came into our world and had
an eye on our land to grow cotton and other crops. First they wanted to civilize us and save our souls
by converting us to Christianity. Many of our people tried to comply, but they thought of us as alien
people and looked down upon us. The Choctaw, the Chickasaw, the Cherokee, the Muscogee, and the
Seminole (collectively called the Five Civilized Tribes) were living as autonomous nations in what
could be called to the American Deep South. They initially started harassing us by stealing livestock,
burning and looting our houses and squatting on our land which did not belong to them. The land they
coveted was the east of Mississippi as this land was valuable for growing cotton. Several state
governments passed laws limiting Native American sovereignty and rights, even though US Supreme
Court affirmed our nation to be sovereign in the case of Worcester v. Georgia (1832). In Cherokee
Nation v. Georgia (1831), the Supreme Court ruled the Cherokee nation was not sovereign and
independent nation, and even refused to hear the case. Tensions between Georgia and

Medical Marijuana Dependence Research
Another myth surrounding the use of the plant is on dependence. Marijuana invokes an image of
people getting high and having problems abstaining from the substance. This is untrue. Solomon
(1966) clearly states that marihuana users do not come from the criminal class. Aggressiveness is not
commonly seen among these users. Dependence or tolerance is characterized by prominent
withdrawal symptoms. This is the true hallmark or defining characteristic of drug addiction. In the
recent years, there is very little evidence to support the claim that marijuana caries a true risk of
addiction. Studies, taken by Earleywine (2005), stated existing data do not prove that marijuana use
correlates with an increase in teen marijuana dependence. Solomon adds ... Show more content on

different ways to administer marijuana. Inhalation of the fumes is not the only method. Cannabis can
be taken intravenously, orally, and topically. These methods remove the risk of the abovementioned
health problems. Another statement is that although natural, the plant still contains toxic chemicals

Zechariah Is The Doctrine Of End Times
One of the major themes of the book of Zechariah is Old Testament Eschatology. Eschatology is the
doctrine of end times, or the study of last things. Zechariah s message is divided into three main
sections. The first section, chapters 1 8, is considered apocalyptic and is filled with eight visions
succeeding one another in one night. The second section, chapters 7 8, delivered two years later, are an
answer to the question whether the days of fasting and mourning for the destruction of the city should
be kept any longer, and an assurance to the people of God s presence and blessing. The third and final
section, chapters 9 14, consists of two oracles. The first oracle (9 11) addresses God s dealings with
His people. The second oracle (12 14) points out the final conflict and triumph of God s kingdom. In
the first section, Zechariah details a series of eight supernatural visions the Lord reveals to Him. These
visions are apocalyptic in nature and are communicated to encourage the people to finish rebuilding
the Temple, which at that point was five months into reconstruction. These visions are given to relay
hope for the people s future and the future of the city of the Temple, Jerusalem. The first vision (1:7
17) consists of four angelic riders on four horses of various colors. The angelic rider on the red horse
dismounts his horse in the middle of a grove of myrtle trees. Zechariah asks the meaning of this vision
and the angel of the Lord responds. The horses and riders

Submitted by: TARANJEET SINGH #7212973 ELEVATOR SYSTEM MODELLING USING UML
INTRODUCTION TO THE PROJECT In this project a descriptinve UML modelling for an elevator
control system is depicted. Elevator system can be considered as an real time embedded system and
hence the object oriented concepts of UML can be exploited. Although the current object oriented
analysis and design methods focus only on the software of a system which might be troublesome for a
real time system merely because of more comprehensive and intellegent approach that it requires.
Some of the real time aspects that needs to be considered are : 1. Modeling of the network 2. Time
constraints 3. Definition of task and task communication 4. Definition of hardware elements and their
characteristics However, UML can be used to define and analyse a real time features of a complex
system and can somewhat address the above mentioned aspects. In order to describe the modelling
from the hardware and software side, we have made use of three different views to model the structure
of the system namely object construction and the software structure view which plays role to describe
the software architecture of the system and the third one is the system architecture view which
represents the system hardware and

Ibsen s Hedda Gabler Essay
Ibsen s Hedda Gabler portrays the societal roles of gender and sex through Hedda as a character trying
to break the status quo of gender relations within the Victorian era. The social conditions and
principles that Ibsen presents in Hedda Gabler are of crucial importance as they constitute the molding
and tempering forces which dictate the behavior of all the play s characters with each character part of
a tightly woven social fabric (Kildahl). Hedda is an example of perverted femininity in a depraved
society intent on sacrificing to its own self interest and the freedom and individual expression of its
members. It portrays Nineteenth Century unequal relationship problems between the sexes, with men
being the independent factor and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With no focus on Hedda s mother we can imagine that the general did little to prepare his daughter for
wifehood or motherhood. Hedda inherited his pride, coldness, and an authoritative attitude toward
others of a lower rank. She lacks compassion for weak and submissive characters like Thea and Aunt
Julia but has admiration for power and freedom, qualities she finds in Brack and Lövborg. Even after
marrying Tesman, she keeps her father s portrait and guns, which signifies her desire for masculine
control as well as her personal form of mourning of the power she has lost by marrying Tesman. This
perverse behavior can be attributed greatly to the era in which Hedda lives, because her choices are
highly influenced by the male dominated society. Hedda tears down everyone throughout the play,
with Lövborg and Brack as the only exception. After being born to a high standing family, her
expectations of power are high, but due to her biologic form as a woman she is trapped and unable to
take control, because Hedda has been imprisoned since girlhood by the bars of Victorian propriety, her
emotional life has grown turbulent and explosive (Embler). However, after succumbing to marriage
with Tesman, whom she only marries for money and respect, she loses her place in society as she, as a
mere woman, cannot retain it. This slowly unwinds Hedda and eventually leads her on to her fatal
path. By

Essay A Calling in Dentistry
Introduction; Prior to starting the career project there were several occupations that caught my interest,
being a firefighter, a marine biologist, and a dentist. However looking at the economy I realize that I

What Are The Pros And Cons Of Federalism
Federalism is restricted that governments decide to take care of the issue of administering substantial
populaces and different societies. Federalism lives up to expectations by separating its power and
responsibility, instead of a unitary government, in which the focal government controls everything.
Federalists convictions could be better portrayed as nationalist. The Federalists were instrumental in
1787 in forming the new US Constitution, which fortified the national government to the detriment.
The Anti Federalists contradicted the US s ratification Constitution; however they never composed

point of preference is that Federalism offers representation to diverse populaces. Nationals of different
areas may have diverse yearnings, ethnicity and take after distinctive societies. The focal government
can at times ignore these distinctions and receive policies which take into account the greater part.
This is the place the local government ventures in. Privileges of the minorities are ensured as well. We

Organizational justice is a concept that represents how fair employees feel they are being treated by

As it sounds, pay transparency reflects on organizations decision to be open about the salary of each
employee/position. In his Ted Talk, David Burkus (2016) challenges the traditional practice of secrecy
around salaries. For Burkus (2016), pay transparency is the biggest way to combat inequity and pay
discrimination. Being open and transparent about how we compensate our team breeds trust amongst
all people involved, says Leo Widrich, CMO at Buffer (Baer, 2014). Buffer is a tech company focused
on products and services to help organizations maximize their social media campaigns. Buffer
publicly disclosed their salary formula and every employee is aware of what everyone makes, all the
way up to the CEO. They consider the move to pay transparency as an ethical imperative and
competitive advantage, highlighting their growth, profit, and company culture as proof. (Widrich,
2013)
Is pay transparency the answer to problems of inequity in the workplace? The results at Buffer seem to
point in that direction. However, larger organizations such as Google don t seem to embrace the idea
of pay transparency. An informal initiative internally publishing salaries, led by a Google engineer,
was less than welcomed resulting in the denial of the engineer s bonuses. (Weinberger, 2015)
Professor of Strategy and Strategic Leadership, Todd Zenger (2016) encourages organizations to count
the cost. According to Zenger, organizations should consider if pay

Exegesis of the Gospel according to Matthew Chapter 5:3 12
The Eight Beatitudes
In Matthew s Gospel, starting with Chapter five verses three through twelve, Jesus tells us of the Eight
Beatitudes. These verses are much like The Ten Commandments in nature, but more philosophical:
· Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
· Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
· Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth.
· Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

The beatitudes are just a sample of the many teachings that this book has to offer. The text itself
written by Matthew, one of Jesus disciples, does coincide with the beatitudes written by another of
Jesus disciples; Luke. Only Luke writes the beatitudes a little differently than Matthew. One example
of the differences is in the first beatitude where Matthew writes, Blessed are the poor in spirit where
as Luke recorded Jesus as saying only, Blessed are the poor By annexing in spirit Luke suggests that
only the monetarily poor belong in God s kingdom, where Matthew seems to state that material status
or social poverty alone are not the standards for faith. All throughout the beatitudes there seems to be
the theme that it does not matter what is on the outside, but God sees and is only concerned with the
inside of his children. Their hearts and their souls. It doesn t appear God cares much for material
wealth or success in the world, but more so for what is in mans heart. Luke suggests ‘the poor should
be monetarily poor, and if they have any wealth they should give it all up to those more needy to give
glory to God. Money and wealth may be seen by some as a sign of being in God s favor with darker
signs and adversity a sign of some sort of punishment. Which should not be the case at all, Matthew
seems to add in spirit more to identify wealth and social status is not the standard by which God will
judge. Money and wealth do have an

Understanding the Global Warming Debate
Throughout history climates have drastically changed. There have been shifts from warm climates to
the Ice Ages (Cunningham Cunningham, 2009, p.204). Evidence suggests there have been at least a
dozen abrupt climate changes throughout the history of the earth. There are a few suspected reasons
for these past climate changes. One reason may be that asteroids hitting the earth and volcanic
eruptions caused some of them. A further assumption is that 22 year solar magnetic cycles and 11 year
sunspot cycles played a part in the changes. A further possibility is that a regular shifting in the angle
of the moon orbiting earth, with the ensuing changing tides and atmospheric circulation, affects the
global climate (Cunningham Cunningham, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Finally, they claim that ExxonMobile s relationships with government officials have made it possible
for them to block federal policies (Easton, 2009, p.155).
Next, is data showing that increasing greenhouse gases caused by human activities is causing directly
observed climate changes. The first resulting climate change discussed is warming global surface
temperature. There has been an increase in global surface temperature of 0.74 degrees C since the late
19th century. In the last 50 years alone the temperature has increased by 0.13 degrees C per decade.
North America and Eurasia have seen the largest increase in warmth (Easterling Karl, 2011, para6).
Further, the hottest years recorded since instrument recording of temperatures became possible were
from 1995 to 2006. Plus, new measurement analysis of the lower and mid troposphere show
comparable temperature rising rates as surface temperatures (Alley et al., 2007, p.5). Also, in this past
century the arctic temperature average has doubled in comparison to the global temperature average
(Alley et al., 2007, p.7). In addition, borehole temperatures, snow cover, and glacier recession data all
seem to agree with recent warming (Easterling Karl, 2011, para11). Scientists are saying that the
difference between the warming period at the end of the Ice Age and the warming happening now is
that the warming at the end of the Ice Age was very gradual over a span of 5,000 years, but the

European Union Pros And Cons
Discuss the benefits of the European Union (EU) for its member states. Does the recent financial and
debt crisis provide arguments against regional economic integration?
The European Union
The European union is an integrated system featuring some if not most of the countries in Europe. It is
an economic and political agreement between the European member states that binds countries
together through treaties, which have been signed by every country in the union. It was established
back in the 1950s but, back then it only featured 19 countries in comparison to now when it features
28.
For the countries featured in The European Union, there are several benefits the country and its
citizens incur. These include, free mobility between member states as you can work, study and travel
wherever you please within the European union. Also, as per occupytheory.org, over 3.5 million jobs
have been created for the 320 million European citizens just over the last few years. However, not all
their policies are effective as we saw with the common agricultural policy that led to the increase in
price and oversupply of goods. Although this is a negative, the European union still manages to

The MOVE Disaster
Jack H. Nagel
Quality leadership is a telling sign of a successful organization. When given the opportunity to guide
or direct others, a leader is capable of drawing individuals or groups together to accomplish certain
goals. Given the responsibility to address a problem that had developed over a span of many months
concerning a cult (an unorthodox or misguided group of extremist) called MOVE, newly elected
Philadelphia Mayor, Wilson Goode did not exercise his authority as the elected leader by working
meticulously with the other city officials and offices to shut down MOVE operations and protect the
city s residents from their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sometimes the very qualities that make a leader successful in one situation can impede his ability to
rationally handle other situations. Understanding the reasoning behind why certain people make
certain decisions in certain situations will never be cut and dry because when viewed through a
psychological viewpoint, knowing the humanistic characteristics affecting decision making is
important in getting a clearer picture. Personally, I would have asked for counsel from the closest of
my working city officials and even someone higher up whom I knew and trusted. I am not expected,
as a human being, to have all the answers but I can make rational choices given the possible outcomes.
In becoming familiar now with the events surrounding the MOVE disaster, I as a future public
administrator, can possibly recognize more easily when difficult situations may call for psychology
and human relations understanding. This knowledge is a necessity for me personally as a mode of self
critique, and for others in positions of leadership and authority that I may work closely with who may
find themselves trapped but unable to recognize it. I consider this to be another example of
recognizing that knowledge is power and to be a successful leader, knowing how to make the

congress, the president, and also the federal court that also includes the Supreme Court. The acts of
congress define the duties and powers which concludes the executive departments and courts that are
inferior to the Supreme Court. When you talk about history and the Federal government that means
you can have a long line of topics and information that you could discuss. There s an outline that is
laid out by the government of the united states and that is called the constitution. The government was
formed in the year of 1789 and that makes it the world s first modern constitutional republic. The
United States government is based on two words or you could call them principles and that s
federalism and republicanism, which means the power is shared between the federal government
along with the state governments. Ever since the American Civil War there s been a really big change
in government and has really expanded at a large rate. Even though there s been certain times that the
legislative branch has had dominance and those were events that were

In addition, an alternative justification would be regarding the fact that those within the public service are required to serve and protect public citizens, as well as enforce laws. Whatever decision they make we want to know when, where, why, and how. This is because whatever decision that they make will determine what will happen with this country as a whole in the long run. So what is the best way to find out what s going on with our government? Why the media of course. Functionalism And The Sociological Perspective On War Joseph Valdez Sociology 100 Professor McCune August 12, 2017 Sociological Perspective on War War has been going on just about as long as people have been alive. Whether it is just some cavemen fighting over a fire, or multiple countries going to war for justice, there has always been some scale of war. I am going to be analyzing way through functionalist, conflict, and symbolic interactionist perspectives. Functionalism is a theory of the mind in contemporary philosophy, developed largely as an alternative to both the identity theory of mind and behaviorism. Its main idea is that mental states are constituted solely by their functional role. The conflict perspective views the social world as difficult unfair and unreasonable. This perspective is typically more pessimistic. Symbolic interactionism is a theory that develops from practical considerations and that alludes to people s particular utilization of dialect to make images, normal implications, for deduction and correspondence with others. The three major sociological perspectives offer some very different views of war and terrorism. They each have their own opinions and stances that may be controversial, but they all give unique views on war, past and present. Functionalism emphasizes the usefulness of certain behaviors and social institutions for many aspects of society. Conflict perspective utilizes the idea of peace, and how war is a negative thing all around. Symbolic interactionist perspectives can use war as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There have been many cases where someone has experienced a loss, and then that person ends up taking their own life. This is the most tragic thing that I can think of. Now we have two horrible losses to deal with, and I sure don t think that this helps anyone in any way. Depression is normal throughout a loss, but not when it is taken to the level of suicide. I think that if enough family and friends are always available to help the person most dealing with the loss then this sort of thing can be avoided. The fifth and final stage of grief is acceptance. It must be noted that there is a difference between resignation and acceptance. A person must accept the loss, not just try to bear it quietly. James Madison thought that the larger the society...the more duly capable it will be to self govern (Madison, 1788). The New England Puritans through practicality needed certain functions such as common defense to be attended to thus, they created political covenants. These political covenants gave them the opportunity for self government in these vocations and helped develop modern federalism providing for unity and diversity to flourish (Samson S. A., 1993). ... • 27. Persuasive Essay On Art Theft Research Paper The Nazis hid, destroyed and plundered thousands of pieces of art and literature; the number is so high that experts cannot accurately estimate the amount of art stolen. The art theft, instigated by the Nazis under Hitler s order, began six years before the second World War had even started ( Documents Region, City, and Countryside 1). In response to the growing number of artwork being stolen and destroyed, special commissions were formed to protect the art. The Nazis plundering and destroying art was beneficial in the way that it united countless people from all over the world against the destruction of the priceless art, which led to the creation of international art protection programs and gained funding and support from the public and the government. Adolf Hitler, before he began the notorious German regime in 1919, had aspirations to be an artist. He applied to the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts in 1907; his aspirations to become an artist did not become a reality as his application to the art school was rejected. This motivated his hatred towards degenerate art, a type of art that was described as modern; Hitler was known to describe it as Jewish or communist in nature. Hitler pushed the classical art ideal, in which the only type of art allowed to be showcased in museums were classical pieces from artists such as Phidias and Picasso (Campbell 1). • 28. Trail Of Tears Essay Trail of Tears The Trail of Tears is a name given to the Cleansing and forced relocation of Native American nations from Southeastern parts of United States following the Indian Removal Act of 1830. The phrase originated from a description of removal of the Choctaw Nation in 1831. We Cherokee Indians have lived in our lands for centuries. The white setters forcefully came into our world and had an eye on our land to grow cotton and other crops. First they wanted to civilize us and save our souls by converting us to Christianity. Many of our people tried to comply, but they thought of us as alien people and looked down upon us. The Choctaw, the Chickasaw, the Cherokee, the Muscogee, and the Seminole (collectively called the Five Civilized Tribes) were living as autonomous nations in what could be called to the American Deep South. They initially started harassing us by stealing livestock, burning and looting our houses and squatting on our land which did not belong to them. The land they coveted was the east of Mississippi as this land was valuable for growing cotton. Several state governments passed laws limiting Native American sovereignty and rights, even though US Supreme Court affirmed our nation to be sovereign in the case of Worcester v. Georgia (1832). In Cherokee Nation v. Georgia (1831), the Supreme Court ruled the Cherokee nation was not sovereign and independent nation, and even refused to hear the case. Tensions between Georgia and ... Zechariah s message is divided into three main sections. The first section, chapters 1 8, is considered apocalyptic and is filled with eight visions succeeding one another in one night. The second section, chapters 7 8, delivered two years later, are an answer to the question whether the days of fasting and mourning for the destruction of the city should be kept any longer, and an assurance to the people of God s presence and blessing. The third and final section, chapters 9 14, consists of two oracles. The first oracle (9 11) addresses God s dealings with His people. The second oracle (12 14) points out the final conflict and triumph of God s kingdom. In the first section, Zechariah details a series of eight supernatural visions the Lord reveals to Him. These visions are apocalyptic in nature and are communicated to encourage the people to finish rebuilding the Temple, which at that point was five months into reconstruction. These visions are given to relay hope for the people s future and the future of the city of the Temple, Jerusalem. The first vision (1:7 17) consists of four angelic riders on four horses of various colors. The angelic rider on the red horse dismounts his horse in the middle of a grove of myrtle trees. Although the current object oriented analysis and design methods focus only on the software of a system which might be troublesome for a real time system merely because of more comprehensive and intellegent approach that it requires. Some of the real time aspects that needs to be considered are : 1. Modeling of the network 2. Time constraints 3. Definition of task and task communication 4. Definition of hardware elements and their characteristics However, UML can be used to define and analyse a real time features of a complex system and can somewhat address the above mentioned aspects. In order to describe the modelling from the hardware and software side, we have made use of three different views to model the structure of the system namely object construction and the software structure view which plays role to describe the software architecture of the system and the third one is the system architecture view which represents the system hardware and ... Even after marrying Tesman, she keeps her father s portrait and guns, which signifies her desire for masculine control as well as her personal form of mourning of the power she has lost by marrying Tesman. This perverse behavior can be attributed greatly to the era in which Hedda lives, because her choices are highly influenced by the male dominated society. One example of the differences is in the first beatitude where Matthew writes, Blessed are the poor in spirit where as Luke recorded Jesus as saying only, Blessed are the poor By annexing in spirit Luke suggests that only the monetarily poor belong in God s kingdom, where Matthew seems to state that material status or social poverty alone are not the standards for faith.
