Body Image Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of "Body Image" can be a challenging endeavor, as it encompasses
a wide range of complex and sensitive issues. Addressing the intricacies of how individuals
perceive and feel about their own bodies involves delving into psychological, societal, and
cultural aspects. Moreover, it requires a delicate balance to explore the impact of media, societal
standards, and personal experiences on one's body image without perpetuating stereotypes or
stigmatizing certain body types.
To construct a comprehensive and insightful essay, one must engage in thorough research to
understand the diverse perspectives and academic theories related to body image. The literature
on this subject is extensive, spanning disciplines such as psychology, sociology, and gender
studies. Synthesizing this information while maintaining a coherent and compelling narrative can
pose a significant challenge.
Furthermore, crafting an essay on body image requires a nuanced approach to address the
emotional and psychological implications associated with body dissatisfaction, eating disorders,
and societal pressures. It is essential to be sensitive to the struggles individuals face and to avoid
perpetuating harmful narratives that contribute to negative body image.
Navigating the fine line between academic analysis and empathetic exploration of personal
experiences can be demanding. Striking the right tone, fostering understanding, and promoting
body positivity are crucial aspects of constructing an effective essay on body image.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Body Image" is a complex task that demands a
deep understanding of psychological and sociocultural factors, as well as a commitment to
addressing the subject with sensitivity. It requires meticulous research, thoughtful analysis, and a
conscientious effort to contribute positively to the ongoing discourse surrounding body image
issues.

Michelangelo s Influence
While someone journeys to Rome, the Vatican has often been a must see. Within the
Vatican, there are many famous works of art that are important throughout history.
There is one artwork in particular that has struck most people. Michelangelo created a
magnificent piece of work on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, which has influenced
many artists today. In order for Michelangeloto create this piece of artwork on the
ceiling of the chapel, he had to create a way to get to the ceiling. He designed his
very own scaffold. Contrary to most scaffolding which is built from the ground up,
Michelangelo made his so they came out of the holes above the windows of the
chapel. With wood, brackets, paint, and plaster, Michelangelo moved his way across

Therefore, he was not particularly interested in painting the ceiling, but was

paint the ceiling. Knowing that Michelangelo was a sculptor and not a painter, they
convinced Pope Julius II to commission Michelangelo paint the ceiling of the

Effectiveness of In School Programs and After School programs
A Review of the Literature

Abstract
In recent years, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP)
noticed the increase in the number of teens between the ages of nine to seventeen
being involved with gangs in the United States. While most people would agree that
gang membership is an individual choice, scholars believe that it is more important
to shift the focus of these programs from an individual level to a community level.
This literature review examines a few of the prevention programs the OJJDP have
implemented in the school s curriculum and after school ... Show more content on

The program is only effective so long as the teenager allows it to be. In other
words, growing up in an undeveloped community and a poor family could be
contributing factors towards pushing adolescent teens towards violence, drugs,
and gangs. However, it is likely that if the teen is able to shift their focus towards
the positive aspects in their life, they can overcome the difficulties. I say this
because my cousin was raised in a good household, yet he chose to be involved
with the wrong crowd even after his parents raised him in a good neighborhood,
with a good education, and participated in many extracurricular activities. After
sending him off to boot camp to try and straighten him up, he still returned to his
gang in which he calls his second family. Therefore, I feel biased towards the
effectiveness of these programs. However, I will remain objective in researching
this topic. I will look into all contributing factors and all of the preventive
techniques in assessing the problem. I will also compare both programs and analyze
the two programs in depth. I will look into all the factors and theories contributing to
why teens would join gangs. Also I will evaluate the effectiveness of the program
based on my research and not my personal experience.

Losing Your Job Because You Are not an Asset Essay
No job is guaranteed as there are many factors that contribute to how long a person
will hold their current job position. These factors include, but are not limited to:
job performance, job attendance, sexual harassment in the workplace, job safety,
alcohol/drug abuse, and economy. Some of these factors could make working
conditions unfavorable while others could make the workplace unsafe. Employees
who do not follow the policies and procedures of their employers run the risk of
losing their job. The performance of a worker helps determine if he or she will be
an asset to the employer. If a worker performs the job task accurately while doing so
in a timely manner, and possibly showing the initiative to do more than what is
required, then... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Employees need to practice safety at all times. Carelessness by the employee can
cause harm to others as well as their self. For instance, an employee is driving an
end loader and has stacked boxes on it without properly securing the load. The
employee is turning a corner where there are other employees standing, the boxes
fall off and hit the other employees causing possible injury to the other employees.
This type of irresponsibility can cause a lawsuit to the employer and in all
probability the employee his or her job. Alcohol/drug abuse is another problem in
today s work force. The use of alcohol/drugs can impair a worker s judgment and
safety habits. Most employers now have the right to test you for using alcohol
/drugs. Even use of alcohol/drugs the evening before work can result in positive
results on a test, depending on the amount used. For instance, a truck driver is out
heavily drinking until 1:00 a.m.. When he arrives to work at 5:00 a.m., the
employer conducts a random alcohol/drug test on him and he tests positive.
Depending on the employer s policy, this could be anything from counseling to
immediate termination of employment. Economy plays a role in every aspect of
employment. A bad economy can lead to lack of funding for projects and
employees. When an employer is taking in less income than they are paying to keep
employees changes have to be made. This could be anything from reduced benefits,
The Accident Investigation Of The Crash
Background
Following the in flight disintegration of the Kanishka, most of the aircraft came to
rest on the ocean floor almost 7,000 feet below the surface. During the accident
investigation that followed, the submerged wreckage was surveyed, photographed
and videotaped, and pieces were recovered off the ocean floor. Floating wreckage
was also recovered and examined. Each piece was given a unique number called a
target . The RCMP returned to the crash site for two subsequent salvage operations
in 1989 and 1991 during which further underwater video footage was captured and
further wreckage recovered. Of the 465 targets observed on the ocean floor, 159
were positively identified as aircraft components or as coming from particular parts ...

The significance of this expert evidence lies primarily in their differing opinions
regarding the location of the bomb that precipitated the destruction of the
Kanishka. The Crown theory, supported by the opinion evidence of Professor
Christopher Peel, is that it was located in Baggage Area 52, which contained the
M. Singh bag. The defence theory, supported by the opinion evidence of Dr.
Edward Trimble and Mr. Frank Taylor, is that it was located some five feet forward
of that location in Baggage Area 51, containing luggage checked in at Toronto. A
conclusion that the defence evidence raises a reasonable doubt with respect to the
Crown s bomb location would fundamentally undermine its theory about the role of
these accused in the alleged offences. Thus, while the distance between the two
proposed bomb locations is remarkably small, its significance is great.
Qualifications of Expert

effects of internal detonations on the structure of aircraft. Professor Peel is currently

internal detonations in civilian transport aircraft, including
Analysis of the Movie Doctor Zhivago Essay
Analysis of the Movie Doctor Zhivago
Doctor Zhivago is a historically accurate movie. It is a love story that takes place
during the Russian Revolution, World War One, and the Russian Civil War. Doctor
Zhivago is historically correct because of the events it represents, the people the
actors portray, and the level of detail put into the setting. At the beginning of the
movie, there is a scene showing a man handing out flyers asking workers to join
him in a peaceful march to protest against the Tsar. The man s name is Pasha. He is
an ordinary worker who believes to reform Russia there must be a complete
revolution of thought and action. Pahsa, when asked if he was part of the Bolshevik
party, claims no allegiance. The Bolsheviks ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Gapon was the organizer and leader of the Bloody Sunday march. He too escaped
with his life. After Bloody Sunday , he sent a letter the Tsar of Russia saying, The
innocent blood of workers, their wives and children, lies forever between thee.
After the massacre, Gapon became very violent and became one of the leaders of
the uprising. In Doctor Zhivago, Laura s fiancГ© changes his name from Pasha to
Strelnikauf and becomes a leader of the uprising too. Gapon and Strelinkauf are
quite similar in their actions and beliefs. Nine years after the Bloody Sunday
Massacre , Russia becomes involved with World War One. In the movie, there is a
scene where Russian troops are marching through Moscow and the town s people
are cheering for them. During this scene, the narrator describes how when he
entered the war, the party gave him the job the recruit troops. Bolsheviks, now
referring to themselves as the party, wanted the Tsar removed and the power
placed in the hands of the people. The Bolsheviks believed that the troops fighting
in the war would soon become tired a weary, and would be easily convinced to
come join the party. The narrator in the movie mentions this tactic by saying that the
soldiers boots were new, and by the time they would wear out, they would join the
party. The narrator of the movie described how Russians looked at the war. It was the
Germans verse the Russians. This is very historically accurate. During World War

Toyota held the major market back at that time in Japan and as sales boosted, their
production increased. The Prius was sold for three years in japan and was made
available worldwide in 2000. It was cheaper compared to the hybrid technology in
the market and people seemed to enjoy the new technology with the same traditional
company. This placed a huge shadow over Honda in the market of hybrid
technology. The first generation Insight was sold from 1999 to 2006. It was a
successor to the EV Plus.

introduced its first electric car, the EV Plus. The first car was brought in the market
in 1997 but the car lived short and was taken out of production in 1999. The car was
brought as a test subject to test the newly introduced battery powered cars. It was

didn?t take notice on what would happen to Eva smith after she left his works, and
what happened to her after that, and what would lead her to suicide. A chain of

Westernization Is The Result Of The Contact Between...
Westernization is the result of the contact between western and non western cultures.
Beginning in the fifteenth century and playing out until the nineteenth century,
colonialism and neo imperialism by means of the Euro Atlantic economy s authority,
played a major part in the spread of western culture. For example, even after
decolonizing and becoming their own countries with their own governance, many
former colonies adopted aspects of western politics, even if they firmly opposed other
aspects of western culture. Twentieth century and twenty first century globalization
took various forms. In the 1950s, there was accelerated postwar globalization through
American and European multinational corporations, like McDonald s and
mcdonaldization throughout the world. Then, beginning in 1970, the rise of
industrializing economies meant the international division of labor, with low wage
and high wage zones, and in the 1980s, the United States took on an important role in
neoliberal globalization through the Washington Consensus, a reform package
designed by Washington D.C. comprised of a set of specific economic policy
prescriptions for critically economically unstable developing countries, the
International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the World Bank. In 2000, globalization was
heightened through the emergence of the economies of countries including India,
China, Brazil, and Russia (the BRICs). In recent decades, as opposed to during
colonial and recent post colonial times,
Veterinarian Essay
Animals get hurt and sick and since animals cannot tell their owners what is
wrong, veterinarians are relied on to solve and treat the problems. Without vets,
animals and pets would not be able to be treated properly and may become too sick
and die. They also play a role in public health, keeping diseases from spreading from
animals to humans. Veterinarians are important and for the safety and health of
animals and humans. Veterinarians care for, diagnose, treat, and research information
about animals when they are sick or have an injury. Vets need to know how to
properly examine wounds and the body of the animal in order to diagnose and treat
the issue. Treating the injury involves knowing how to perform surgery, test and
vaccinate, prescribe proper medication, and even euthanizing, or putting to death, the
animal. However, working with animals can be very difficult and stressful if they do
not cooperate properly. Many... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

China s One Child Policy Essay
One Child Policy
Over population has been a global issue for decades. Medical advances have made it
possible for people to live longer and have multiple births, which are just some of the
factors contributing to this social problem. Many countries have attempted to battle
this issue, but none as intensely as China. China allows the government to have full
control over family planning to help reduce the population. In 1979 China created a
policy called the One Child Law which limits couples to only one child. Although the
Chinese government hopes to curb the population boom and benefit society, the One
Child Policy has morally questionable results, negative impacts on Chinese society,
which should be changed.

Between 1982 and 1983 women who already had one child were compelled by the
government to use birth control. Women who were pregnant and the government did
not authorize it had to sustain an abortion. By 1982, charges of coercion against
couples who had an unauthorized birth and a second child were heard, and
punishment rather than incentives were being used to enforce the policy (Guo).
However, China s efforts at population control have met with some success. The
policy has been in effect for nearly thirty years. In that time, China has been able to
successfully reduce the population rate; even though they are still the most
populated country on the earth. Without the policy, officials estimate a population
of 1.2 billion by 1986 and 1.5 billion by 1994 (Guo). Earlier this year studies show,
China s population erratically increased in city parts of China where most civilians
reside. The One Child Policy benefits society by reducing the chances of poverty
rates and famine. It also enables families to fully concentrate on spending their
resources on one child, such as furthering their education and ensuring health benefits
(Milwertz 34). The policy also helps women concentrate on their education as well
as careers, avoiding emphasis on staying home with their kids (Milwertz 34).
Although the policy was a success for some time, the One Child Policy has many
negative effects on Chinese society.
The One Child Policy creates many social problems. Gender imbalance is

Washington Post Artifacts Essay
America has about thirty five thousand (Washington Post) museums; while that alone
is really surprising, but more amazingly it surpasses the amount of Starbucks and
McDonald s that we have in America.
Museums in America are visited daily; it is like they almost never close. In 2015
upwards of six million nine hundred thousand people visited the National Museum of
Natural History in Washington DC (USA Today), this tied with the National Air and
Space Museum, also in DC. Many of these artifacts are from foreign countries that
want them back.
However, artifacts should not be repatriated to the countries of their origin because
museums are to educate people about different places, things, objects, cultures, and
eras. If the artifact is donated then the museum s highest priority is to honor the donor
s wishes. And if the museum found the artifact(s) in a foreign country, then it should

The Great Mosque of Samarra was dated back to the ninth century and was built for

Students primarily rely on professors and academic advisors to recommend a class
schedule to them each semester. On the student side, it is assumed that this
recommended schedule is moving them toward graduation while preparing them for
career success. However, given that upper level classes in the CS/IT department at
Clayton State Universityaren t always offered every semester, students can risk
delaying graduationand not being fully career ready, by not doing enough of their

[1] If a student, or an advisor makes a mistake in calculating the student s credits and
pre requisites, or if the student has other issues with registration (course substitutions,
department approvals, etc), the student is then forced to create more appointments
with the advisor to get things on track for them. This process points to challenges in
the academic advising model that leaves students disconnected from their education
and can result in more dire consequences including delayed graduation. In the work of
Luna, Gaye, et.al, the authors stated that E advising can establish a support system
for rural graduate students by creating a means of accessibility and communication.
Through e advising, rural graduates students have an opportunity to self direct and
contribute to their own educational advisement needs. Universities can use e advising
to foster successful students by creating more accessibility and communication. [2]
While course work and advising at the graduate level has it s distinctions from
advising at the undergraduate level, some core concepts still ring true. Advising
through technology empowers the students to take charge of their education, and
ensure their goals are being met according to their schedule. Though digital
assistants aren t capable of filling the full role of a human academic advisor, giving
students access to key, basic information will make all advising more effective.

Reflection Paper On Rock Climbing
Reflection Paper #3 During Week 3, we started our day on the bad side due to the
lack of sleep, and the change of weather. Throughout the day our energy level
improved as the day went on. The field activity for the day included rock climbing.
Discussion of group dynamics, rock climbing technique and leave no traces were
brought up through out the day.
Group Dynamic The group dynamic was really off since the morning started.
Everyone was gloomy and sleepy. I know that I personally slept for four hours the
night before . Which leads me to almost thought about just coming to class two
hours late just because of how unmotivated my mindset was at the time. Even in
the group setting, it was not just me who was low on morale, it was everyone in
class too. This can affect our group s energy and it lowered morale and excitement
within the rank. Sitting inside and listening to presentation all day long do not
help . The idea of going out and moving around have help with our engird level.
This is useful for leading group in time of low energy like what we went through
that day. When it came to lunch time, people were feeling better due to having food
in our system, and the active hand on cooking hlep made us more active. With food
in our tummy, we were able to feel the energy to participate in our rock climbing.
Rock Climbing Technique Rock climbing was a very intense workout. I have not
rock climb for a long time, I remembered the first time that I did, it took me a long

Joseph Stalin was born Ioseb Djugashvili in Gorgi, Georgia. He was the third son of
Yekaterina and Vissarion Djugashvili, and the only one to survive past infancy. His
parents had a violent marriage, with Vissarion beating hos wife and son. His parents
had very different ambitions for Stalin, with his mother encouraging him to become a
Russian Orthodox priest and his father believing that a working class life was good
enough for Stalin. When his father returned from Tiflis to bring Stalin back to the
factory, in which he worked, to become an apprentice cobbler brought the argument
to a head. His mother brought Stalin back to Gorgi, and got him back on the path of
attending seminary. After this incident, Vissarion ended the marriage. Stalin

This helped Stalin become very popular among the lower class. The first few years
after the revolution were spent building his post as general secretary into a very

decided to join Bukharin to start an opposition towards Trotsky, Kamenev, and
Zinoviev. By 1928, Stalin s supremacy was completed and he exercised complete
control over both the party and his country. Stalin s last rise to power was the order
to assassinate Trotsky in Mexico. Before the order, due to friction between the two,
Stalin had frequently requested that Trotsky be relieved of his position, but it was
believed that Trotsky would be a better leader than Stalin. After his death, only two
member of the Old Bolsheviks were left. This being Stalin and his foreign minister,
Vyacheslav Molotov. Despite Lenin requesting Trotsky served as the Communist
Party s commander, this did not happen. Stalin decided to forget the traditional
emphasis of the Bolshevik on revolution, framed a new policy attempting to
establish socialism in soviet Russia. Trotsky termed this the Permanent Revolution
and wanted to spread it across the world. Stalin became the party s leader because of
his cunning manipulation of his opponents. He even went as far as to create a severe

Media Role In The Media
Media plays a big role in society these days. Whether it be letting society know
what is going on the in the world today or something as simple as updates on
current life on social media. The media s role in society not only delivers
information of the world but also brings people together through common interests
or general talks. In Brian Knappenberger s documentary: Nobody Speak: Trials of
Free Press it is seen how media effect lives and how there is a much stronger
meaning to what media stands for in society and why media needs to take its stand
when it comes to people who want to devour them. Media is one of the key areas
where power is exercised, reinforced, contested and very influent in the political,
social, and economic fields. This statement that has been discussed in the previous
lectures clearly relates to the message that comes across from Brian Knappenberger
s documentary of Nobody Speak: The Trial of Free Press. Throughout the
documentary, it is argued that those who have influential backgrounds, or have deep
pockets are capable of buying their way out of scandals, and concealing facts and

Trotsky s Assessment Of The Continuity Between Stalinism...
Trotsky s assessment of the continuity between Stalinism and Leninism Bolshevism is
valid to a certain extent. It is axiomatic that there is a multiplicity of factors that seem
to correlate Stalinism to Leninism, thus adding validity to Trotsky s assessment of the
continuity. However the straight line theory of the continuity between the two
ideological phenomena, implied by Trotsky, undermines the divergence between
them. Both phenomenons rose up in the Soviet Russia during the times of civil
unrest, but Stalinism can be seen as more of a revolution from above whilst the
Bolsheviks Leninismcan be seen as more of a revolution from below .
The historical development of Stalinism can be traced and analyzed through its
several stages. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, elements of discontinuity are also present as the revolution was perverted
by the Stalinist structure as the dictatorship of the proletariat soon became the
dictatorship of Stalin. Furthermore Stalin s theory of Socialism in One Country
betrayed that of the Marxist Leninist theory of propagating socialism to other
countries.
In order to fully assess the validity of the statement, two fundamental factors must we
must firstly look at. Firstly the aspects of continuity that may have lead to the the
statement.Secondly, factors within the Stalinist regime that illustrate aspects of
discontinuity from the Bolshevik regime. Lastly, the reason for the characterization,
on behalf of Trotsky to possibility to give validity to the Stalinist regime, likening that
to the popularized Leninist Bolshevik regime.
Why does Trotsky legitimize the Stalinist regime as being linked to the Bolsheviks?
Trotsky s assessment of the of the Stalinist phenomenon certainly seems unexpected
considering that any link between the two systems would certainly seem to
undermine Trotsky s creditably as the appropriate successor of Lenin.
Trotsky was a renowned revolutionary who played a pivotal role during the
Bolshevik Revolutionary. He was born on November 7th, 1879 in Yanovka, Ukraine,

When Buying A Computer
When deciding to purchase a computer you need to make a decision. Do you want
to build your own, or do you want to buy one that is already assembled? I will be
explaining some pros and cons along with the risks of each choice and helping you
decide which option is the best for you. Building a computer yourself has some risk
involved with the reward. Most of the time if you decide to build a computer it will
be cheaper than buying one built, which sounds great because you re saving money.
While doing this there are some possible consequences you may run into. Building a
computer requires you to purchase the parts and assemble it yourself. When ordering
parts you needto be sure you re getting the right ones. An example could be that you
got a good amount of RAM but you later realize that your motherboard doesn t
support it. When buying a computer pre built you wouldn t have to worry about
these issues. Another issue concerning building a computer can be inexperience. If

One disadvantage is customization. With building your own computer you get to
decide what goes into it and you can make it how you want it. On the other hand,
buying a computer doesn t give you as many options. When you buy a computer it
probably won t have everything you wanted, it may be lacking a quiet cooling
system, or it may not have as much hard drive space as you wanted. Another con is
getting a nice computer is hard to find at a reasonable price. Most affordable
computers aren t built to the best of their ability. They usually contain cheap
motherboards and other parts that can just barely run the computer which doesn t
give the user such a great experience. To buy a good computer that runs well is
going to cost you a pretty penny compared to the affordable
The Role Of The Child In British Romantic Poetry
How does British Romantic Poetry interpret the role of the child? British Romantic
poets have composed forms of literary art that is centered on childhood, they
describe how significant that period is in a being s life. The inclusion of childhood
in the poetic work of Wordsworth, Blake, and Rousseau defined how children were
robbed of their youth. All three British Romantic poets, held beliefs that children
were of nature; pure and perfectly made. In the same way, Romantics advocated the
belief that children manifested innocence. Accordingly, the poets wrote about how
the child should be protected from the immoral ways of man. The main topics
described by each author provides the audience an awareness of the working
conditions and lack of education children faced. The role of the child in British
romantic poetry depicts the idea that children possess a separate identity from adults
concluding that they should not be stripped of their innocence. The beliefs of the
Romantics embodied the concept that children should become experienced through
their own personal discoveries. The child s personal discoveries should consist of a
natural environment where they can abundantly grow and learn using their diverse
minds. Secondly, the most popularized belief the Romantics supported was the
innocence and purity that a child possessed. Lastly, the poets introduced a
relationship between children and nature. British romantics believed children had

The Enron And Enron s Scams, The Ponzi Scheme

In the past few years, enterprise integrity has come up on a regular subject of
conversation. In the past ten years only, we have seen numerous situations associated
with collaborative scams which have shaken the people s trust in businesses and also
the general economic climate. A few of the many salient frauds are the WorldCom

Organization integrity can be a principle associated with comprehending what s
morally appropriate and/or allowable on the job. Ethics by itself is really a relative
idea: everything that could be seen as ethical within one culture may not be regarded
as so in another. Likewise, everything that may be authorized in 1 nation may not be
legitimate in another. Integrity could be affected by financial situations, ethnic
circumstance, background and additional factors. For instance, price fixing is
definitely an unlawful practice within our nation (USLegal, 2010,) however in
several nations around the world it is still authorized as well as morally okay. It
ought to be cleared up though that legitimateness isn t a test regarding integrity: there
are numerous procedures that are lawful,
The Pros And Cons Of David And Goliath
Underdog, a term that we are all too familiar with, has classified disadvantages in
life for centuries. Little do we know that there is no such thing as being an
underdog, it is simply just a myth. Malcolm Gladwell, the author of David and

disadvantages can really be an advantage. The three sectioned book goes into

If anyone understands what it is like to be a misfit, it is the people of Le

Superstition In Macbeth Research Paper
Good Morning Gentlemen, today I would like to share my opinion about Macbeth.
Shakespeare s tragedy, Macbeth is a play that has been studied for centuries due for
the main part because of the timeless nature and the fact it can be applied to any
context. In Macbeth, Shakespeare explores and provides arguments surrounding the
themes of superstition, appearance versus reality and ambition.
Firstly, through Macbeth s exploration of the theme of superstition, Shakespeare
successfully argues that superstition effects human behaviour. In Macbeth
superstition is represented as the irrational fear of what is unknown and mysterious.
This is of particular importance in Shakespeare s context where almost everyone
believed in superstitions. One such superstition ... Show more content on

In particular, he argues that unchecked ambition is the root of all evil and human
demise. This is of particular significance due to Macbeth, in essence, being written for
King James, and Shakespeare s caution in not encouraging the overthrow of a King.
Shakespeare s compelling argument that unchecked ambition results in losing one s
humanity to evil is displayed in Macbeth s soliloquy in Act 1 Scene 7. Here Macbeth
tries to rationalise killing Duncan. Shakespeare uses the technique of listing counter
arguments, to emphasise the supreme number of arguments against killing Duncan
and contrasts this with the one argument; ambition. Here Shakespeare uses extended
imagery to argue that unchecked ambition causes evil and a loss of humanity, I have
no spur to prick the sides of my intent, but only Vaulting ambition which o erleaps
itself and falls on th other. Here Shakespeare compares Macbeth to a horse rider, and
says that he has not reason to get on the horse, to dig in the horse with his spurs, than
vaulting ambition. This notion is further discussed in that this vaulting action may
result in him going too far over and crashing on the other side of the horse. This in
essence also foreshadows the negative consequences of murdering Duncan that are
explored later in the play. Through this extended imagery, Shakespeare argues that
ambition is the only justifiable reason for killing Duncan but then counters this

Hamlet s Madness And Madness In Hamlet By William
Shakespeare
Throughout the play, Hamlet, Shakespeare applied a myriad of motifs to enhance the
meaning and complexity of his work. One of the numerous motifs utilized in the play
is madness. The question of Hamlet s actual madness is profusely raised among
readers in the Elizabethan era and is still brought up numerous times today. Some
may assert that Hamletwas literally mad and others may argue that Hamlet s
madness was feigned. In the beginning of the play, Hamlet spotted his father s
ghost and discerned that his father s death was caused by his uncle, Claudius. This
situation initiated a whirlwind of events that took Hamlet on a downward spiral.
These events are comprised of Hamlet s actions to try to avenge his father s death.
They support and convey the impression that Hamlet s madness was real.
Although, Hamlet specifically claimed that he was not mad in the text. Hamlet s
madness was feigned since he confessed his reasoning for his antic disposition in
order to avenge his father s death and get revenge for Claudius actions. Hamlet s
absurd actions began when he got a visit from his father s ghost. As he was
conversing matters with the ghost, he acknowledged that he may need to disguise
himself with strange behavior (antic disposition) in order to not give himself away.
He wanted to ensure that he wouldn t make it conspicuous that he was planning to
kill Claudius in order to achieve his own equanimity. Hamlet mentioned to Horatio,
Marcellus, and the Ghost, How strange or odd some er I bear myself (As I
perchance hereafter shall think meet to put an antic disposition on)... (Pg. Act I
Scene V Lines 175 177). He needed to surreptitiously act in a strange manner in
order to convey the idea to the culpable King that he didn t have a plan, although he
did. Hamlet would not have given them the caveat that he would act mad if he
actually was crazy. One who is mad will most likely not admit it, but Hamlet
certainly admitted that he would be acting this way to communicate a certain
impression. At the climax of the play, the queen claimed that Hamlet was mad when
he interacted with his father s ghost after he murdered Polonius. She vehemently
claimed, Alas, he s mad (Pg. 177 Act III Scene IV Line 109). She declared

Character Analysis Of Bonnie And Clyde
Everyone has heard of the notorious robbers Bonnie and Clyde. Most people know
the general story of what happened from the movie produced about them, but few
really understand the morals behind the couple. Just like with most celebrities, their
story has been distorted to for a more entertaining purpose; movies. We as humans,
tend to glorify celebrities, even if they were bank robbers and killers. A major
example of how we glorify celebrities can be seen by looking at historical figures
Bonnie and ClydeBarrow.
In the movie, Bonnie and Clyde are seen as the protagonists of the movie. The way
the directors set up the script makes you fall in love with the characters. It s one
way to get you to feel emotion at the end when, spoiler alert, they are killed. The
movie is set up in a way to get you to sympathize with the characters. If you knew
the real story, you might not feel so sympathetic. Barrow was suspected of numerous
killings and was wanted for murder, robbery, and state charges of kidnapping (
Bonnie and Clyde 1). They were well known for their robberies and murders. They
were believed to have committed 13 murders within their four year spree; most of
whom were law enforcers.
At the time they were killed in 1934, they were believed to have committed 13

Throughout life we express ourselves through words. The way we present
ourselves through speech says a lot about our character. The way one speaks to
others can jeopardize the amount of respect and trust others have for them. From
the way one pronounces a word to their posture can affect the way an audience
interprets what is being said. Personally, I am not confident with my speaking

The whole point of a speech is to get a message across to an audience or a group of
people. If you speed through a speech and just mumble, you are not only wasting
your own time but your audiences as well.
When giving a speech it is handy to have a list of key concepts with you that you
want to get across to your audience. Writing out your whole speech will not do.
Writing out your full speech may cause you to have your head buried in your notes
for your entire presentation. As a high school student you can get away with this,
but in the real world no one will trust you unless you look them in the eye when
talking to them. I must admit that it is very hard for me to look at people when I
am giving a speech, but it is imperative that I do so. I not only want my audience to
understand what I am trying to say to them, but I want them to believe me as well.
Also, when you don t face your audience they tend to lose interest and start
conversations or activities of their own. In order to gain the trust and respect of your
audience, it is absolutely necessary to look them in the eye when speaking to them.
I hate it when people speak in monotone, but it happens to the best of us. It is so
boring to hear a speech that is given in a monotonous voice without any variety in
their tone. Speaking in monotone puts your audience to sleep. This can happen to
anyone who is reading their speech word for word. It has happened to me, and before

Comparing The Consolidated Statement Of Earning Or
Income...
The consolidated Statement of Earning or income statement, tells the user about the
sales and expensed applied by the Home Deport during the fiscal year. An analysis
of income statements shows a company with strong sales figures and the worth of
up to $71 billion sales per year. Nevertheless, the one thing that is very noticeable is
the substantial drop in sales from to Fiscal 2008 compared to previous years. Home
DepotВґs net sales in Fiscal have dropped from 25,997 to 23,990 (in the millions). In
addition to the drop in sales, Home Depot had reported higher expenses throughout
Fiscal 2008. The statements provides through information that is very helpful
throughout the decision making process of the company. For example, upper
management may determine that a struggling economy is the possible cause of the
decrease in sales and it may not be the best time to introduce any new projects. Also,
the company may decide to increase their credit programs for consumers with the
intention to increase sales. In general, the company is strong, however the drop in
sales and net earnings cannot warrant some cautions until the economy shows signs
of improvement and the sales and net earnings continue to drop. The drop in sales
and net earnings shows that even the strong companies are affected when the
economy is not doing so well.
The balance sheet is one of the major and critical financial statements that show the
financial position of the company. The balance sheets tell the user of the
The Modern Medicine Of Medicine
Voltaire once said, The art of medicine consists of amusing the patient while nature
cures the disease (Humor and Health). With increasing amounts of new modern
diseases and maladies, researchers are all scrambling to come up with vaccines,
treatments, and cures to maintain and restore societies health through prevention and
treatments. Along with modern medicine, there were many advancements starting
from prehistoric times leading to the groundbreaking and innovative researches. In
the art of healing there are various types of medicine to complement scientific
research because conventional medicine is no longer the sole type of medicine.
Between two styles of medicine, applying both conventional and holistic styles would
provide the most successful outcome and should be the primary approach because
there are more medical options that reciprocate the best outlook.
Supported by prominent figures like Socrates, Plato and especially Hippocrates, a
holistic approach was primarily used throughout that time period and currently.
Referring to a form of healing, holistic medicine focuses on how the physical,
mental, emotional, and spiritual elements of a person are interconnected (Holistic
Medicine). Based on the word holism , which means to be whole, holistic medicine
s primary goal is to gain or maintain a proper balance in life. Common in areas such
as Asia, holistic medicine is a part of a broader subject of complementary and
alternative medicine also known as CAM.
Asian American Achievement
Asian Americans exceptional educational and occupational outcomes despite their
racial minority status in the United States have been central to the debate of race and
achievement in both academic and popular discourse. While some pundits argue that
the Asian American achievement is a result of the right culture that values education
and hard work, scholars of race, immigration, and education reject such claims. Hsin
and Xie s quantitative investigation reveals that Asian Americans strong emphasis on
efforts, rather than outcomes, coupled with their immigrant status contribute to their
exceptional academic achievements. Similarly, Lee and Zhou show through their
subject centered approach that complex social processes establish cultural... Show

The Asian American success frame not only emphasizes the role of efforts, but also
defines success as straight As, admission to elite universities, and the top four
professions lawyer, doctor, engineer, and pharmacist. Believing that social mobility is
possible in the United States, immigrant parents ensure their children s success by
strictly adhering to this success frame. At school, Asian Americans benefit from what
Lee and Zhou call the stereotype promise the promise of being viewed through the
lesn of a positive stereotype. Because teachers automatically associate achievement
with Asian American ethnoracial groups, even the mediocre Asian American students
are given the benefit of the doubt. As a result, students who are given the second
chance work hard and excel academically and this often leads to their confirming of
the stereotype. Thus, Asian Americans do not simply have the right culture to excel
in the United States; the Asian American culture emerged as a result of historical,
legal, institutional, and social psychological processes of various actors in the

Margo Roth Spiegelman s Paper Towns
Paper Towns starts in Orlando Florida, where Quentin Jacobsen has carried on with
all his life, adoring Margo Roth Spiegelman since when they initially met. The book,
on the other hand, begins with the foundation of Margo and Quentin s relationship.
Back when Quentin and Margo were in primary school, they were friends ... Until
one day, when amidst their journeys, they discovered a deceased man sitting under a
tree. Margo was truly fascinated of the man, needing to explore his demise, yet
Quentin needed to leave and call for help quickly. After they cleared out and the
police had assumed control, Margo had really investigated it herself while Quentin
was at home. One night after, Margo went to Quentin s window and lets him know
what she had... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The book closes with Margo and Quentin saying farewell and promising to stay in
contact.
Despite the fact that John Green s tone changes all through the book, his tone is
ordinarily idealistic and has a determination about it to stop the dull potential
outcomes of Margo s future. Quentin can discover inspiration regardless of the
possibility that now and again it would appear that Margo has conferred suicide.
Regardless, the circumstances, there is a happy comical inclination that John Green
composes all through the novel. The dialogue and relationship in the middle of
Quentin and his friends keeps the book light. Something as random as Radar s
guardians gathering black Santa s helps keep a carefree tone all through the book
despite the fact that it manages more profound and darker
Analysis Of Chinese Health Promotion Hospitals
Several recent natural disasters have occurred in China including the Wenchuan
earthquake in 2008 (8.0 on the Richter scale), the Yushu earthquake in 2010 (7.1 on
the Richter scale), the Yuliang earthquake in 2012 (5.7 on the Richter scale), the Yaan
earthquake (6.5 on the Richter scale), and the Ludian earthquake in 2014 (6.5 on the
Richter scale). The Chinese government has increased its focus on public healthin
post disaster areas and has provided sufficient funding to support construction of local
hospitals. Additionally, the government has attempted to improve medical services to
promote public health [1, 2]. In 2013, the Chinese government proposed the Chinese
Health Promotion Hospitals (CHPHs) programme [3].The Health Promoting... Show

Disaster conditions also challenge their physical and mental endurance [9].
Healthcare professionals may have increased risks of post traumatic distress due
to their work. For example, Shrestha R reported that health professionals working
in the Nepal earthquake of 2015 were at significantly higher risk of developing
post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The overall prevalence rates of PTSD were
21.9% and 17.1% using cut off scores and diagnostic criteria, respectively [10]. A
study by Oglodek E. showed that 40% of medical rescuers experiencing PTSD
reported that the dissociation was caused by the death of a patient being rescued
[11]. Additionally, Yu YM et al. revealed that during the Wenchuan earthquake in
2008, more than 50% of medical staff demonstrated several of the following signs of
stress: grief, fear, depression, anxiety, fatigue, headache, and dizziness [12].
Therefore, health quality of healthcare professionals after disasters is a significant
issue [9, 13].
To our knowledge, the data regarding how medical staffs promote healthy lifestyles
after a disaster are unclear. We hypothesized that additional data could provide
reliable empirical evidence for health promotion in health workers and the public in
post disaster areas as well as for the development of CHPHs. The primary goal of this
study was to determine whether healthcare workers took healthier lifestyles than other

Burger King is the second largest fast food chain in the world, following behind the
mighty McDonalds. Burger King was founded in a Miami, Florida, suburb in 1954
by James McLamore and David Edgerton, following a visit to the original
McDonalds in San Bernadino, California. Sensing that Dick and Mac McDonald
were on to something big, the partners created their own version of the fast food
genre and named it Burger King.

The Crucible Scapegoat Analysis
You turn on CNN and begin catching up on the latest news on a recent shooting.
You hear them blaming certain ethnic groups for being behind this tragic shooting.
Although they do not know the person that did it, their first instinct is to place the
blame on them. Throughout history, there have been multiple ways that every
culture has used a type of a scapegoat. Scapegoat: a person who is blamed for the
wrongdoings, mistakes, or faults of others, especially for reasons of expediency.
In Arthur Miller s The Crucible, the use of a scapegoat was the blaming of women
in Salem, Massachusetts for being a witch or worshipping the Devil. In the book,
there were numerous girls accused, a few men, and multiple deaths. There were
thirty three deaths total, one man, Giles Corey. Nineteen were hanged, and thirteen
died while serving time in prison. All of these deaths were the causes of the
scapegoat. They were falsely accused of witchcraft when there was no proof that
they performed these acts. Scapegoats were used because the people of Salem
were terror stricken, in today s society, there are multiple forms of scapegoats:
rape, Middle Eastern people, and WWII that people use due to trepidation. In the
recent Twittersphere, there were article links about how a female accused a male
of raping her. He served time, then years later she came out and proclaimed that it
was a lie. By doing this, it makes her seem ignorant. This case ruined the man s life
and made him waster years of his
Early Christian Retreat
This paper will discuss the purpose of retreats within the Catholic tradition by
examining the three historical perspectives: Biblical, Theological and Authoritative
and then evaluate how these perspectives raise an awareness of God s presence as
encounters with God, self, others and creation. The discussion will also examine
how the approaches of both religious and laity from pre Vatican II to modern times
fulfil the purpose of retreats in Catholic schools. Once reviewed a selection of
approaches will be discussed and why they could be successfully implemented in
Catholic schools.
A retreat can be defined as a time away from normal life, a time of rest, renewal and
reflection. Ferguson Witt (2006) suggest that to be in retreat there must... Show more

service are the focus. St Ignatius Loyola provides a useful model of retreat in his
recommendation of spiritual exercises undertaken for 30 days. This retreat practice
allows prayer through meditation and contemplation and has its roots deep in early
Christian tradition and the scriptures. The Society of Jesus, founded by St Ignatius
were one of the first orders to practice retreat by rule and pass the exercises onto
communities. St Ignatius believed that the exercises helped reform his own life, he
had an encounter with self, therefore a deeper encounter with God in solitude using
the exercises. (Litchman,

A1. Country to Compare Healthcare is so expensive! How many times have you
heard someone in the United States of America (U.S.) say that? Is it the same in
other countries? The best way to discover this is to compare differences between the
U.S. and another country. To this end the comparison will be between the U.S. and
Great Britain (G.B.) Access to health care can sometimes be a challenge. That
challenge is even greater for people whose needs are extensive and costly or those
who have special needs and have difficulty figuring out access on their own. This
would include the unemployed, the retired and children. Improving access for these
individuals is a very necessary, ongoing activity. It will be interesting to see how the
U.S contrasts with G.B.
A2. Access
CHILDREN:
In G.B. children have full, free connection to healthcare covered by the National
Health Service (NHS). There is no charge for any healthcare services. They or their
parents can choose any hospital/medical center that they wish to go to.
In the U.S., healthcare coverage is available for children under their parent s
healthcare plan until the age of 26. If parents do not have health insurance there are
programs available to help bridge the gaps. Programs like the Children s Health
Insurance Program in some states, in other states it is included under Medicaid and
is a federal program.
UNEMPLOYED:
The unemployed have the same access to care as
Abortion By Judith Jarvis Thomson
Thomson s example shows that he is in support of the woman and her having the
right to say no. She has the right to walk away and say no to the violinist, even if
this means he dies. It is her body, and she did not give the violinist permission to
use it. The woman and the violinist are examples of rape in this case. If a man
physically rapes a woman, and she becomes pregnant, she has a right to an abortion
because she has not given the man or the fetus the right to use her body. Although the
abortion will kill the fetus, the woman s action is not unjust because the fetus did not
have the right to use her body. Now, if the woman voluntarily gave the violinist
permission to use her body for about nine months or years, and halfway through she
Mahatma Gandhi Impact
Mahatma Gandhi was truly one of history s greatest heroes. He sacrificed his entire
life to help those in need. Through his love, perseverance, and endurance, Gandhi
changed the world. Mahatma Gandhi, born Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, was
born in Porbandar, India, on October 2, 1896. He had two older brothers named
Laxmidas and Karsandas and an older sister named Raliabehn. He also had two
half sisters born from his father s previous marriage. Out of all of his siblings,
Gandhi was the youngest (Rau 4). Gandhi s father, Karamchand, was the diwan, or
prime minister, of Porbandar. Because of this, Gandhi and his family lived a
comfortable life in a three story house along with numerous servants. On the other
hand, Gandhi s mother, Putlibai, had deep Hindu traditions. She was extremely
religious. She could often be found praying, fasting, and worshipping in the temple
to honor God. Putlibai s devotion to the Lord left a huge impression on Gandhi as
a young boy (Rau 6 7). When Gandhi was seven years old, he and his family
moved to an inland city called Rajkot. This is where Gandhi started school.
Although he adored school, he was incredibly, painfully shy. Gandhi once stated
that his books and his lessons were his only companions. As soon as he was done
with school, he would sprint as fast as he could home to avoid any social
interactions with his classmates. One of Gandhi s many, many fears was that he
would be made fun of him. At this point in his life, he was very weak in
Gender Roles In Blood, By Naomi Shihab Nye
As humans we tend to think that we have gotten past our small minded thinking.
However, that could not be further from the truth. We still mistreat people who we
believe are different from us when in fact, we are all human. Society continues to
struggle to accept our differences whether they are religious, race, or gender. Our
society claims that we are all created equal yet, we can not open our eyes or mindto
see the truth. The Constitution states that we have the right to religionof our choice
but we criticize those that have different beliefs. In Naomi Shihab Nye s poem,
Blood, she speaks about the struggles that she faced being culturally diverse. Her

Noise Sensor Essay
Abstract In this Paper, issues related to noise sensor application of instrumentation
amplifier through substrate coupling in system on chip design are described and
demonstrated including the physical phenomenon responsible for its creation,
coupling transmission mechanism and media, parameter affecting coupling strengths
and its impact on mixed signal integrated circuits. Basic aim is to find out
magnitude of interference happening when analog and digital circuit is placed
nearby on a common substrate. It has been design to have a broad bandwidth (1
KHz to 1MHz) with very high CMRR to cancel out the unwanted noise at its both
inputs and deliver single output. MOSFET capacitors are used for the picking of
substrate interference.
Key words CMOS, , noise sensor, Substrate Coupling, Guard Banding.
Introduction
The wireless sensor network is applicable in numerous life saving critical field

chose those with the best reputation and competencies as their leader in order to
prevent conflict and prohibit going the wrong way.
Reaching the Electronic era, humans works expanded tremendously and went more
complicated than ever before. To accomplish works people had to create more expert
groups equipped with intelligent assets. For the matter of increasing workability and
efficiency groups exploited the idea of using virtual assets such as fax machines,

Key Characteristics of Virtual Project Management
Working in virtual environment is consisted of two interrelated components:
1 Virtual Project Management Body of Knowledge (VPMBOK)
2 Virtual Project Management Technology and Tools (VPMTT)
The first point simply is about the knowledge base of a project manager in virtual
environment and the business intelligence he has. The second point is a complement
to the first one which gives the project manager enough information and expertise to
select right technologies and work with right tools to implement what he has in mind.
Very first thing in VPMBOK is to understand where to use the virtual management
model. In respond, when there is a need to work with a group of people which work
from different regional locations, different time zones, with different cultures and in
some cases with substantial inter related but independent duties, we apply virtual
project management model. Virtual model saves resources and saves time but has its
own challenges. For example, when you want to sell your product or service in
another state or in another country you have two options; first is to go the traditional
way in which you sell the product by sending request to headquarters, headquarter
sends order to manufacturing line, manufacturing line ship out product to the market
and everyone have direct physical contact. This method has very much bulking and
we are into you because of the dependency to real people traveling from one

Body Image Essay

  • 1. Body Image Essay Writing an essay on the topic of "Body Image" can be a challenging endeavor, as it encompasses a wide range of complex and sensitive issues. Addressing the intricacies of how individuals perceive and feel about their own bodies involves delving into psychological, societal, and cultural aspects. Moreover, it requires a delicate balance to explore the impact of media, societal standards, and personal experiences on one's body image without perpetuating stereotypes or stigmatizing certain body types. To construct a comprehensive and insightful essay, one must engage in thorough research to understand the diverse perspectives and academic theories related to body image. The literature on this subject is extensive, spanning disciplines such as psychology, sociology, and gender studies. Synthesizing this information while maintaining a coherent and compelling narrative can pose a significant challenge. Furthermore, crafting an essay on body image requires a nuanced approach to address the emotional and psychological implications associated with body dissatisfaction, eating disorders, and societal pressures. Crim 301 Literature Review Essay Effectiveness of In School Programs and After School programs A Review of the Literature California State University Los Angeles Criminology 301 Professor Jenny June 7, 2012 Abstract In recent years, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) noticed the increase in the number of teens between the ages of nine to seventeen being involved with gangs in the United States. While most people would agree that gang membership is an individual choice, scholars believe that it is more important to shift the focus of these programs from an individual level to a community level. This literature review examines a few of the prevention programs the OJJDP have implemented in the school s curriculum and after school ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The program is only effective so long as the teenager allows it to be. In other words, growing up in an undeveloped community and a poor family could be contributing factors towards pushing adolescent teens towards violence, drugs, and gangs. However, it is likely that if the teen is able to shift their focus towards the positive aspects in their life, they can overcome the difficulties. I say this because my cousin was raised in a good household, yet he chose to be involved with the wrong crowd even after his parents raised him in a good neighborhood, with a good education, and participated in many extracurricular activities. After sending him off to boot camp to try and straighten him up, he still returned to his gang in which he calls his second family. Therefore, I feel biased towards the effectiveness of these programs. However, I will remain objective in researching this topic. I will look into all contributing factors and all of the preventive techniques in assessing the problem. I will also compare both programs and analyze the two programs in depth. I will look into all the factors and theories contributing to why teens would join gangs. Also I will evaluate the effectiveness of the program based on my research and not my personal experience. IMPORTANCE OF PREVENTION PROGRAMS AND THE LITERATURE REVIEW With the increase in the number of teenagers being involved with gang violence and memberships, scholars agree

These factors include, but are not limited to: job performance, job attendance, sexual harassment in the workplace, job safety, alcohol/drug abuse, and economy. Some of these factors could make working conditions unfavorable while others could make the workplace unsafe. Employees need to practice safety at all times. Carelessness by the employee can cause harm to others as well as their self. For instance, an employee is driving an end loader and has stacked boxes on it without properly securing the load. The employee is turning a corner where there are other employees standing, the boxes fall off and hit the other employees causing possible injury to the other employees. This type of irresponsibility can cause a lawsuit to the employer and in all probability the employee his or her job. Alcohol/drug abuse is another problem in today s work force. The use of alcohol/drugs can impair a worker s judgment and safety habits. Most employers now have the right to test you for using alcohol /drugs. Even use of alcohol/drugs the evening before work can result in positive results on a test, depending on the amount used. For instance, a truck driver is out heavily drinking until 1:00 a.m.. The defence theory, supported by the opinion evidence of Dr. Edward Trimble and Mr. Frank Taylor, is that it was located some five feet forward of that location in Baggage Area 51, containing luggage checked in at Toronto. Shakespeare s tragedy, Macbeth is a play that has been studied for centuries due for the main part because of the timeless nature and the fact it can be applied to any context. In Macbeth, Shakespeare explores and provides arguments surrounding the themes of superstition, appearance versus reality and ambition. Firstly, through Macbeth s exploration of the theme of superstition, Shakespeare successfully argues that superstition effects human behaviour. In Macbeth superstition is represented as the irrational fear of what is unknown and mysterious. In particular, he argues that unchecked ambition is the root of all evil and human demise. This is of particular significance due to Macbeth, in essence, being written for King James, and Shakespeare s caution in not encouraging the overthrow of a King. Shakespeare s compelling argument that unchecked ambition results in losing one s humanity to evil is displayed in Macbeth s soliloquy in Act 1 Scene 7. Here Macbeth tries to rationalise killing Duncan. Shakespeare uses the technique of listing counter arguments, to emphasise the supreme number of arguments against killing Duncan and contrasts this with the one argument; ambition. Here Shakespeare uses extended imagery to argue that unchecked ambition causes evil and a loss of humanity, I have no spur to prick the sides of my intent, but only Vaulting ambition which o erleaps itself and falls on th other. Here Shakespeare compares Macbeth to a horse rider, and says that he has not reason to get on the horse, to dig in the horse with his spurs, than vaulting ambition. This notion is further discussed in that this vaulting action may result in him going too far over and crashing on the other side of the horse. This in essence also foreshadows the negative consequences of murdering Duncan that are explored later in the play. Through this extended imagery, Shakespeare argues that ambition is the only justifiable reason for killing Duncan but then counters this

One of the numerous motifs utilized in the play is madness. The question of Hamlet s actual madness is profusely raised among readers in the Elizabethan era and is still brought up numerous times today. Some may assert that Hamletwas literally mad and others may argue that Hamlet s madness was feigned. In the beginning of the play, Hamlet spotted his father s ghost and discerned that his father s death was caused by his uncle, Claudius. This situation initiated a whirlwind of events that took Hamlet on a downward spiral. These events are comprised of Hamlet s actions to try to avenge his father s death. They support and convey the impression that Hamlet s madness was real. Although, Hamlet specifically claimed that he was not mad in the text. Hamlet s madness was feigned since he confessed his reasoning for his antic disposition in order to avenge his father s death and get revenge for Claudius actions. Hamlet s absurd actions began when he got a visit from his father s ghost. As he was conversing matters with the ghost, he acknowledged that he may need to disguise himself with strange behavior (antic disposition) in order to not give himself away. He wanted to ensure that he wouldn t make it conspicuous that he was planning to kill Claudius in order to achieve his own equanimity. Hamlet mentioned to Horatio, Marcellus, and the Ghost, How strange or odd some er I bear myself (As I perchance hereafter shall think meet to put an antic disposition on)... (Pg. Act I Scene V Lines 175 177). He needed to surreptitiously act in a strange manner in order to convey the idea to the culpable King that he didn t have a plan, although he did. Hamlet would not have given them the caveat that he would act mad if he actually was crazy. One who is mad will most likely not admit it, but Hamlet certainly admitted that he would be acting this way to communicate a certain impression. At the climax of the play, the queen claimed that Hamlet was mad when he interacted with his father s ghost after he murdered Polonius. Because teachers automatically associate achievement with Asian American ethnoracial groups, even the mediocre Asian American students are given the benefit of the doubt. As a result, students who are given the second chance work hard and excel academically and this often leads to their confirming of the stereotype. Thus, Asian Americans do not simply have the right culture to excel in the United States; the Asian American culture emerged as a result of historical, legal, institutional, and social psychological processes of various actors in the contemporary American

Margo was truly fascinated of the man, needing to explore his demise, yet Quentin needed to leave and call for help quickly. Disaster conditions also challenge their physical and mental endurance [9]. Healthcare professionals may have increased risks of post traumatic distress due to their work. For example, Shrestha R reported that health professionals working in the Nepal earthquake of 2015 were at significantly higher risk of developing post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The overall prevalence rates of PTSD were 21.9% and 17.1% using cut off scores and diagnostic criteria, respectively [10]. A study by Oglodek E. showed that 40% of medical rescuers experiencing PTSD reported that the dissociation was caused by the death of a patient being rescued [11]. Additionally, Yu YM et al. revealed that during the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008, more than 50% of medical staff demonstrated several of the following signs of stress: grief, fear, depression, anxiety, fatigue, headache, and dizziness [12]. Therefore, health quality of healthcare professionals after disasters is a significant issue [9, 13]. To our knowledge, the data regarding how medical staffs promote healthy lifestyles after a disaster are unclear. We hypothesized that additional data could provide reliable empirical evidence for health promotion in health workers and the public in post disaster areas as well as for the development of CHPHs. The primary goal of this study was to determine whether healthcare workers took healthier lifestyles than other

  • 43. The Crucible Scapegoat Analysis You turn on CNN and begin catching up on the latest news on a recent shooting. You hear them blaming certain ethnic groups for being behind this tragic shooting. Although they do not know the person that did it, their first instinct is to place the blame on them. Throughout history, there have been multiple ways that every culture has used a type of a scapegoat. Scapegoat: a person who is blamed for the wrongdoings, mistakes, or faults of others, especially for reasons of expediency. In Arthur Miller s The Crucible, the use of a scapegoat was the blaming of women in Salem, Massachusetts for being a witch or worshipping the Devil. In the book, there were numerous girls accused, a few men, and multiple deaths. There were thirty three deaths total, one man, Giles Corey. Nineteen were hanged, and thirteen died while serving time in prison. All of these deaths were the causes of the scapegoat. They were falsely accused of witchcraft when there was no proof that they performed these acts. Scapegoats were used because the people of Salem were terror stricken, in today s society, there are multiple forms of scapegoats: rape, Middle Eastern people, and WWII that people use due to trepidation. In the recent Twittersphere, there were article links about how a female accused a male of raping her. He served time, then years later she came out and proclaimed that it was a lie. By doing this, it makes her seem ignorant. This case ruined the man s life and made him waster years of his

Once reviewed a selection of approaches will be discussed and why they could be successfully implemented in Catholic schools. • 45. Organizational Systems And Quality Leadership Task Essay Organizational Systems and Quality Leadership Task 3 A1. Country to Compare Healthcare is so expensive! How many times have you heard someone in the United States of America (U.S.) say that? Is it the same in other countries? The best way to discover this is to compare differences between the U.S. and another country. To this end the comparison will be between the U.S. and Great Britain (G.B.) Access to health care can sometimes be a challenge. That challenge is even greater for people whose needs are extensive and costly or those who have special needs and have difficulty figuring out access on their own. This would include the unemployed, the retired and children. Improving access for these individuals is a very necessary, ongoing activity. It will be interesting to see how the U.S contrasts with G.B. A2. Access CHILDREN: In G.B. children have full, free connection to healthcare covered by the National Health Service (NHS). There is no charge for any healthcare services. They or their parents can choose any hospital/medical center that they wish to go to. In the U.S., healthcare coverage is available for children under their parent s healthcare plan until the age of 26. If parents do not have health insurance there are programs available to help bridge the gaps. Programs like the Children s Health Insurance Program in some states, in other states it is included under Medicaid and is a federal program. UNEMPLOYED: The unemployed have the same access to care as

She has the right to walk away and say no to the violinist, even if this means he dies. It is her body, and she did not give the violinist permission to use it. The woman and the violinist are examples of rape in this case. If a man physically rapes a woman, and she becomes pregnant, she has a right to an abortion because she has not given the man or the fetus the right to use her body. Although the abortion will kill the fetus, the woman s action is not unjust because the fetus did not have the right to use her body. Now, if the woman voluntarily gave the violinist permission to use her body for about nine months or years, and halfway through she

Through his love, perseverance, and endurance, Gandhi changed the world. Mahatma Gandhi, born Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, was born in Porbandar, India, on October 2, 1896. He had two older brothers named Laxmidas and Karsandas and an older sister named Raliabehn. He also had two half sisters born from his father s previous marriage. Out of all of his siblings, Gandhi was the youngest (Rau 4). Gandhi s father, Karamchand, was the diwan, or prime minister, of Porbandar. Because of this, Gandhi and his family lived a comfortable life in a three story house along with numerous servants. On the other hand, Gandhi s mother, Putlibai, had deep Hindu traditions. She was extremely religious. She could often be found praying, fasting, and worshipping in the temple to honor God. Putlibai s devotion to the Lord left a huge impression on Gandhi as a young boy (Rau 6 7). When Gandhi was seven years old, he and his family moved to an inland city called Rajkot. This is where Gandhi started school. Although he adored school, he was incredibly, painfully shy. Gandhi once stated that his books and his lessons were his only companions. As soon as he was done with school, he would sprint as fast as he could home to avoid any social interactions with his classmates. One of Gandhi s many, many fears was that he would be made fun of him. At this point in his life, he was very weak in

Noise Sensor Essay Abstract In this Paper, issues related to noise sensor application of instrumentation amplifier through substrate coupling in system on chip design are described and demonstrated including the physical phenomenon responsible for its creation, coupling transmission mechanism and media, parameter affecting coupling strengths and its impact on mixed signal integrated circuits. Basic aim is to find out magnitude of interference happening when analog and digital circuit is placed nearby on a common substrate. It has been design to have a broad bandwidth (1 KHz to 1MHz) with very high CMRR to cancel out the unwanted noise at its both inputs and deliver single output. MOSFET capacitors are used for the picking of substrate interference. Key words CMOS, , noise sensor, Substrate Coupling, Guard Banding. Key Characteristics of Virtual Project Management Working in virtual environment is consisted of two interrelated components: 1 Virtual Project Management Body of Knowledge (VPMBOK) 2 Virtual Project Management Technology and Tools (VPMTT) The first point simply is about the knowledge base of a project manager in virtual environment and the business intelligence he has. The second point is a complement to the first one which gives the project manager enough information and expertise to select right technologies and work with right tools to implement what he has in mind. Very first thing in VPMBOK is to understand where to use the virtual management model. In respond, when there is a need to work with a group of people which work from different regional locations, different time zones, with different cultures and in some cases with substantial inter related but independent duties, we apply virtual project management model. Virtual model saves resources and saves time but has its own challenges.
